Why is no one talking about the fact that Bill is probably back as a bird? The last two pages in the book of bill show the statues eye not glowing, and the last page the eye is glowing with that looks like a bird on his hand. I would show pictures but I don’t have the book on me atm! Anyways bird bill…. I must draw him….

I actually love drawing knights even if it takes. so so many hours

took a lot of inspiration from his original design i hope i captured that well enough

all those ribbons hes got tied around his arms are like... "favors from many maidens" or whoever else, since i needed something as a substitute to the advertisements hes got originally

also i havent put much thought into this yet, but i imagine his father is some sort of weapon smith or whoever else of great renown

i also dont know what weapon he would wield? maybe steamsled shield will be enough

What @accessibleaesthetics said, yes. This is why I said I could not in good conscience recommend this method, and one should certainly not reach for it everywhere all the time. This kind of weird hacky things is not, fundamentally, what ARIA is for.

The first rule of ARIA use is "If you can use a native HTML element or attribute with the semantics and behavior you require already built in, instead of re-purposing an element and adding an ARIA role, state or property to make it accessible, then do so."

Hiya! I have a technical/formatting question about Ao3. Is there a way to add alt-text to...well...actual text? In one of my WIPs, there's a few numerical codes that contain hints about what's really going on. I want to keep these as copy-pastable text so readers can run them through an online decoder or something if they want to know what they say, but I also don't want readers who use screenreaders to have to sit through several interminable strings of numbers. Is there a way I can add alt-text so they hear something more succinct? Thank you for the kindness you show and for how much you help others. I hope you have a nice week. ^^

Someone who's better at HTML and CSS than I am might be able to do what you want, but I'm not aware of a way to create copy-pastable text that a screenreader won't read and provide it with an alt description that the screenreader will read.

What I've done in the past is create an image of the relevant code and then use the image alt text feature to describe it succinctly in a way that won't be absolutely mindnumbing to hear a screenreader read out.

If you want to provide the copy/paste version as well, you could do so in an end note perhaps? Or you could use the end note to guide people to the comments section and put the copy/paste version there.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this one?

I really hate modern website design. Massive picture with a meaningless slogan then scroll down to magically appearing fluff text, then some more magically appearing fluff text, then some more until you get to the bottom of the page and have found nothing of actual use, only to discover a virtually invisible menu button in the top right corner of the screen that hides all the actual website from you. Website designers, when did useability stop being something you were allowed to care about?
