all the world will be your enemy - chapter 2: in an emergency such as the end of the world
“You were all saying our problem is a lack of information, right? And there’s no way to gain this information - I suppose we could scout it, but that would take forever and we don’t have the time. We need insider information and fast.”
Lando squared his shoulders. “Oscar and I will go undercover in Red Bull.”
all the world will be your enemy
Despite everything they have faced in the past, after Red Bull attacks Mercedes it seems inevitable the safehouse pack will be attacked too. With no other options, Lando and Oscar are sent undercover into Red Bull to find out the information needed to destroy them for once and for all. This comes with its own set of challenges: firstly, Oscar and Lando are hopelessly out of practice surviving an abusive pack, and secondly, Red Bull is watching them all closely.
Oscar doesn’t know how to survive Red Bull, least of all keep Lando safe throughout it all. Lando just wants to be able to live the life he thought was impossible for most of his life. Ollie wants to fight for once and keep everyone safe, even if that means going to extreme lengths to do so. George and Alex didn’t know how dangerous their rebellion could be. Max and Charles don’t know how to keep their pack from falling apart at the seams.
As time runs out, they have to scramble to make a plan that defeats Red Bull whilst keeping themselves alive. They’re a pack full of survivors but that does not guarantee they can survive this fight.
One thing is certain: hope never dies. Whether hope is enough to save them, however, remains to be seen.

Why does every tutorial I keep seeing for learning how to make an animation "for beginners" NEVER talk about terminology or what words mean. Like yeah, I know onionskin, smears, and framerate and that level, but the video doesn't say it, what if someone who truly didn't know anything or where to start saw this and felt confused. I think that's an inherent flaw of tutorials of any kind, teaching you how to do something without explaining why or what things are. The assumption that you're not really a beginner at all.

Designer: ruanquanxiong / [ Post ]
[Video Description: A 3D rendering of a modest grey tank top. Three arm-width tubes, like mid-length sleeves, hang off of the front. Two on the chest and one on the lower abdomen, higher than the crotch but still as suggestive as you'd expect. In the video, it sways around, jiggling slowly as if made of rubber. /END ID.]

𝐂𝐔𝐏𝐈𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄. hearing that alastor had a different opinion left her feeling more insecure than she could have imagined - one of the reasons she had agreed so quickly to allow him to help. she had good reason to doubt that he was some kind of makeup expert, but cupid would trust him. she did with most things & besides, alastor was something of a PRETTY BOY himself - maybe he had tried his hand with makeup before. taking a good look at his face, she could honestly say that the idea didn't surprise her that much. it made it a little bit easier, but not that much.
the idea that he needed to FIX anything about her face at the moment made her very, very sad - but maybe, whatever touches he happened to add would give her a hint at his preferences. the two of them were quite opposite, something cupid had wondered whether or not effected how much he liked her. alastor didn't seem to like people who were too much like him, but he didn't seem to like ANYONE all that much. ❛ you aren't making me look silly, are you? ❜ he would deny it, she knew that - cupid had never wanted a mirror so badly before. ❛ have you used makeup before? ❜

look. here’s the thing. If you have a relative or family friend or some such who does a craft/hobby/skill that you’ve “always wanted to learn” you should ask them about it. Your grandma does embroidery and you want to learn? Sit down one day, or call her, or write a letter, or something, and say “I am interested in learning this craft.” There’s basically zero chance that Uncle Francis is gonna refuse to teach you about his model ships. Grandma is THRILLED to show you her quilting. Ms Barbara from the church bake sale WILL teach you how to make the fudge that made her second husband propose.
your friends and contemporaries are also a tremendous resource, and you should ask them too! But there’s just no replacement for the expertise of someone who has been knitting for sixty years. Part of this, also, is that older crafters can often give you materials to help you start, and your broke millennial friends usually can’t. My mom has more wool than she will ever use in her life, and she knows it. When one of my friends wanted to start knitting, my mom just gave her this gorgeous silver handspun yarn she’d made but wasn’t attached to. Yarn like that is expensive! Handspun yarn from someone who has been spinning for thirty years doesn’t often happen to beginners! And starting with good materials is better than starting with bad, because it helps you develop taste and a sense of quality more quickly.
Experienced crafters are often able to help you avoid learning bad or damaging habits—as a teenager, my sewing teacher spent a lot of time teaching me how to do things so that I didn’t get repetitive stress injuries (like she did). They’re going to be able to lend you books, send you ancient angelfire html pages with the most exacting instructions on earth, show you the good places to get crafting supplies that aren’t am*zon.
But you have to ask. Do not wait until these people are dead, and then say “I wish I knew.” You have to do it now, while you can.
