I've wrote this in a chat with one of my bestfriends a few days ago, and I feel like sharing it here to (I hope it makes sense without the context of the conversation before, but i believe it does):
After reading more fanfics about Good Omens, I tried to see the world like Aziraphale and Crowley might few it: As a project that was given up by one (god) an driven fourth by others (mainly humans, but also kinda demons & angels), and I tried romanticizeing humanity like I think Aziraphale would, fazinated by every detail of modern life, viewing it as different kinds of a work of art.
It's difficult to see not gonna lie, and sometimes almost impossible to hold onto, but it at least gives me little moments of happyness. =)

i wonder if anyone else knows what i'm talking about:
so you know how it's a common, like, show of dominance to shake another person's hand in an aggressive way? bone-crushing grip, practically cuffing your wrist, won't let you let go?
do you think it's a different show of dominance to use a limp hand when someone's trying to give you a normal handshake?
i feel like it is, i feel like it's cultural (maybe specific to my area of africa??), i feel like it's a femme thing, and i feel like it's peak passive aggression 🤣

Being an artist is actually so fucking cool.
There's a girl in my class who let me take pictures of her because in my mind a podcast character looks like her. And looking at the pictures and drawing her I am constantly thrown off by how beautiful she is - and that's not specific to conventionally pretty people.
I just. Love how I can stare at someone, or at a picture, or a moment, and find the details that makes it what it is - I am trying very hard to not send this friend a hundred messages, to say that her hands are actually so soft and romantic and that the casual way she holds herself is relaxing to look at and that her eyes are wild, like she doesn't know how much they change when she talks.
And sure, some people who aren't artists can pay this much attention to details, but when you want to do art, the act will force you to watch, your practice will make you find the precious details, and I think that's a vital endeavor, actually.

I’m working at a buffet and my coworkers are playing imaginary catch across our shops.
What we’ve been throwing to each other seems to change every few throws; first it was a baseball-type object, then someone made it a grenade which another batted away, then it became a dart, then to a bouncy ball, and finally to a balloon.
We’re having fun here

In all of my miniscule vastness I will never see another mind. Never pass the impassable waters between our island. I can only watch the lights and colors, listen to their music, feel their echo.

Ok here goes the presentation post.
I have arrived to tumblr on crazy days, by chance. I just downloaded it and happened to land in the midst of the Grand Reddit Migration and the Downfall of All Other Social Media Apps by Corp so yeah, pretty much stumbled in and made my way in between reddit refugees.
Am I a reddit refugee? Not really, no. I would like to, but sadly I left reddit a couple months ago. So no, not a refugee, just a random spawn.
About me?
I like practically everything.
I've got a great interest in knowledge in general, have always liked to learn, and brag share what I know.
I am into ancient greek history and greek mithology, so, naturally I'm also into Percy Jackson and EPIC The Musical.
I draw and write, and have a liking for aesthetics, particularly academia. Right now I am obsessed with my new notebook so you'll be finding a lot about it.
Avid fantasy reader
Hopeless romantic? Yes. Also very single.
I like the depths of the human mind and soul. But can also be pretty silly.
I tend to grow attached to things that mean something to me, right now my SPQR jockey, when younger a Harry Potter t-shirt, certain pants or shoes or hoodies.
I am also Catholic and stand by my beliefs, which include loving everyone as much as I can.
I don't really know what to add, I am a bit of everything, and am interested in a bit of every world, because we humans do some beautiful shit and I'm attracted to the beauty and truth that lives in every human creation. So pretty much every form of art.
I will try to do a list
Music
Illustration
Poetry
Writing
Sports
Machinery
Engineering
Science
Math
Painting
Movies
And everything each of these include inside.
Welp, that was a lot. I you're still here, you are more than welcome to this page. I hope it stays as multifaceted as I am.
Cheers, I guess?
Idk

quotes by Victorians about the 1920s view of their generation's women
"We are frequently told that the Victorian woman...generally behaved like a pampered and neurotic infant. This is all moonshine. I do not think that I ever saw a woman faint before I came to London in 1869, and not often after then...they enjoyed a hearty laugh, and a good many of them a contest of wits with any man." -Nineteenth Century, a Monthly Review, 1927 (written by a man born in 1850)
"What queer ideas the girl of 1929 has about the Victorian period- they are not a bit true...Marriage was by no means the end and aim of our existence. Oxford and Cambridge claimed quite a few of us after school days were over. We had great ideas about 'life' and what it all might mean to us." -St. Petersburg Times, 1929 (written by a woman born in 1853)
"True, debutantes were chaperoned at balls. But that fact did not prevent them from dancing as frequently as they chose with their favorite partners. The idea that girls in the Victorian era spent their days sewing seams and practicing scales is another fallacy." -Gettysburg Times, July 1, 1927 (quote from the Dowager Lady Raglan, Ethel Jemima Somerset, who lived from 1857 to 1940)

Human fun fact!! Your expectations heavily influence how you react to drugs, especially psychedelics! If you’re scared of having a bad trip, you’re more likely to have one! That’s why you should always practice safe drug use and try your best to do it in a safe environment with people you trust to support you.
Also please know that psychedelics were developed by organisms as poisons to get animals to stop eating them. So was chocolate, mint, pepper spice, and citrus. You guys are eating poisons for fun. But please have fun doing so!
