Dawn Mother

When Dawn Mother comes to me she often appears gaunt, old and yet youthful. Her face is usually alien like- skeletal, with large, strange, eyes and pale but blushing skin. She is the Mother of the gods, the forgotten form of the White Mare and the spirit of the land as represented by the blood of the The Hunted Stag.

She, who bore Tree Shaker, is one who raises warriors.

A quick little something inspired by the art style of Hungarian Folk Tales! I've really been digging these videos :oD

Here are some of my hungarian folkllore inspirated ocs, their names are Károly and Emese.

They are (adaptive) siblings and both of them are some kind of spirit. Károly (the guy) is a shapeshifter. Shapeshifters are often potrayed as foxes in hungarian folktales too. Emese (the girl) is a markoláb, a hungarian mythological creature that is said to eat the moon and sun at eclipses.

Folktale week!! Rebels - with witches !!! Costume - which is actually based on my village’s folk clothing. Sadly there weren’t much resources about it. That was all for me this year. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to properly plan ahead :’)  Tree and Star
