Omgomgomg so I just started reading tgb a few days ago, and I just passed the part where Hunter hears belos in the grey dog, and has the panic attack, and AAAA!! the scene where Willow goes to comfort him when he's curled up under the sink, and HE PULLS HER INTO THE HUG HAD ME IN SHAMBLESSS (´▽｀)

Your story is so well written, I can vividly picture and hear every scene in my head as if I were watching it on screen!!

SCOM Angsty Thoughts:

Spoilers for those not caught up… and a little food for your thought.

There’s something about Hunter realizing that other Coven Heads might have known what he was way before he did.

And that they might have been looking at him like a magical butcher chart of what they could claim to increase their power — and that the one who was supposed to be protecting him used this as a way to manipulate their loyalty.

Makes this scene a lot more terrifying…

What were the others promised?

Maybe we’ve already seen a version of this in another canonical example … (hint. It’s not a galdorstone… that’s obvious)

And who has the most to gain by old rumors about Grimwalker biology being broadcast by a major political candidate.

Okay so I'm pondering on my next comic. I'd already done something fluffy recently (Huntlow), and I have another one on the works (The Stanley Parable). I wanted to balance it out with some angst. :3

I would still make both but I wanted to make the poll to figure out which comic I should do first based on the no. of votes. ^u^ (I also have this poll on twitter (X) so I could have comparisons)

"Haircut" : This one though had been in my WIP files for months now since I needed to revise its script. But work was getting me distracted so I had to pause.

"Skip" : I have some few ideas for this one but it wasn't solid enough. So I have to thank you (@/soupyye and @/BogMob on twitter (X)) for indirectly giving me an idea of what to draw. Now all I need is to write the script. :3

I haven't really had the chance to organize my thoughts and predictions on the finale yet, so I guess I'll just dump them here lmao

I'm still holding out for Eda to use Bat Queen's whistle in the finale, don't know what she would do, but I do think that it would most likely lead to a sacrifice of some sort (or maybe belos eats her and grows to full power again wouldn't that be wild)

I feel like I'm in the minority of people who don't think Luz will permanently move to the demon realm, I feel like it would be easier on Camila (and Vee too let's be honest), if there was just an open portal she could go through at any time. At the very least it's pretty obvious that the portal between the worlds will close forever afterwards, evidently from how much Luz has grown there compared to Earth

Huntlow is definitely of importance to the Belos plotline, they would've just cut it for time if it wasn't. Hunter and Willow are 100% foils to Caleb and Evelyn, and my guess when the gang is confronted by him, he'll see the two protecting each other and have flashbacks to when he killed his brother. My biggest hope for this would be a fully animated flashback, but I guess we'll just have to see

It's pretty evident that Hunter will continue the line of palismen carving, and with the seed Dell gave to Eda, I would almost say that that alludes to a future with Willow where she grows the trees and he carves the wood (definitely reading too much into it lol)

Something I don't think a lot of people have talked about is who will run the isles when Belos is dealt with? Or rather how it will be run. It would make the most sense for one of the CATS to do it (Eda, Raine, and Darius all come to mind first). Oddly specific, but in that context I could see a scene where upon everybody finding out he's a titan, they say that he should be the leader of the BI, but he insists that he isn't fit for the job or something of the likes

I think with the build up to Stringbean, there will be a big fight against Belos in the next episode, considering how well he fought in Hunter's body, who had no natural magic at the time, I think as Raine he'll be even harder to beat. A fight like that alone has me curious as to whether they'll survive or not, but considering the amount of angst between them and Eda I don't think it'll get worse (I am definitely wrong about that). There will definitely be a scene where Eda thinks they're dead though, she'll hold them in their arms and cry or whatever and then they'll have some funny quip, then they'll finally kiss

Part of me feels that Luz will have a last minute moment of doubt when deciding whether or not she'll return to the demon realm at all, which will lead to Camila mentioning the videos that Luz sent her back in S2, I still think they're going to be plot relevant, and will probably be in the last 5 or so minutes of the episode

And that brings me to something mentioned by in a post hoot on Cissy's instagram a little while ago. One of the people there asked someone if they had seen the last four minutes of the episode, and when they said no the other had a clear reaction. The last four minutes will most likely be a time skip, wedding, or maybe some sort of memorial thing for a character who died. I would be willing to bet that those last four minutes were what Sarah was talking about when she said it was the hardest she ever cried.

Ugh I’ve been wanting to write something. Got one in my drafts, but I’ll give an alternative drabble for ya 😜

“Papa? Daddy?” Willow teared up, fingers slowly loosing hold of Hunters as she walked towards the two men. The darker haired one lovingly helped up the one with dark green hair.

Then they turned to her. First a shocked expression on their face, then hope that didn’t want to be squished, then beaming happiness, all so fast that Hunter barely caught it before feeling the immense loss of warmth of Willows hold in his hands.

She ran fast, tears falling from her eyes as a huge smile graced her lips. “Dads!”

“Sunflower!”

“Honeybug!”

The three were soon it a happy huddled hug, tears falling from both Willow and the green haired man as the other seemed to try and stay strong for them.

Willow then pulled slowly away, cupping each of their faces in her hands, her head tilted to the side with the teariest happiest smile ever, “I missed you guys.”

That broke the bigger man, his sobs finally coming out.

They stayed like that for a few minuets as Hunter looked towards the others. Everything seemed to be right. Gus was happily reunited with his dad. Amity her twins and father. Even her zealous mother standing to the side trying to gain their attention but nothing came of it.

Eda, King, Luz, Camila, and even the collector seemed to have huddled their own group.

Hunter turned to find his old mentor of sorts. His breathe hitched in his throat and he froze in place. A new tightness in his chest as he realized that he had missed someone from this place in fact.

Darius.

The older man looked to hold an expression of sorts. Hunter didn't know what it was. Raine stood beside him and offered a small nudge. Before walking towards Eda and their makeshift group of hugs and stroytellings.

Hunter found his legs moving to their own accord at that. The familiar hot liquid reaching his eyes again before his walking turned into a full out sprint, teleporting at the last second to find his arms wrapped around the ex-abomination coven head.

"Little.. prince"

"Don't ca-"

"Of mine." Darius finished with a croak in his voice before hugging Hunter back. Full bear hug in fact.

Hunter hugged him for a bit longer before pulling away. "The human realm. It was... just like you said it. Like the stories you said your old mentor told you during our sewing lessons. The rain was cold and- and the plants didn't try to eat you, and they have other mythical animals- like the wolf!" He exclaimed tugging his shirt straight, "Look! I made it myself, they have a really cool sewing contraption over there!"

Hunter frowned when he saw Darius glance in another direction, "Sorry, I was talking to much."

Darius snapped back, a strange look on his face, "Not at all. Your sewing has improved quite well, you'll have to teach me a few tricks. I'm glad you were safe, Hunter. I just noticed something is all." He hummed mischievously.

"Huh? What?"

"Well if you must know, Isn't that the girl you went on and on about, what was her name? I don't know... Captain?"

"Willow?" Hunter glanced and felt his heart stop when he caught her smiling like that at him from over there. She seemed to gasp and look away, resuming her conversation with her dads. "Uhm I wouldn't say I went on and on, I mean she has plenty worth to go on and on about but I- Yeah that's her"

"Her dads hugging her like that... does that mean she was with you and the others in the human realm?"

"Uh. Yes?" Hunter asked suspicious of where he was going with this now.

"So after, what has it been? Months? Have you made her your girlfriend yet?"

"What?! No- wait. Maybe?" His mind flashed back to their hands intertwined right before and after the final showdown. She said he had meant a lot to her too. But in what way? She blushed... He noticed that too. He never saw her blush around the others. Maybe. "Advanced friends... maybe. I don't know-"

"Well what are you waiting for?"

Hunter took a deep breath and fisted his hands, "You're right."

He then breathed in and teleported unknowingly in between her and her parents, hands grasping hers as that bright red tinted her cheeks again, shock on her face.

"Are we dating now- I mean, am I your girlfriend- I mean are you my girlfriend now?"

Her face turned even darker at the question then she let out a small squeak as she looked behind her.

"What now? What is this?" The darker haired dad asked. A terrifying glint in his eyes.

Hunter felt himself shrink, or maybe he just felt that way under the killing stare her dad gave him.

"Gilbert, now honey, they were gone for months. She hasn't had a chance to introduce us if he is-"

Hunter gasped and turned towards Willow, he placed a quick hand on the side of her face and smiled sheepishly, "Never mind, I jumped to conclusions."

Her face fell with question and hurt even. He squeaked. "Not like that! Er- please just give me a moment?" He offered sheepishly.

She looked confused but her face filled with trust and she nodded before stepping back.

Hunter then turned towards the men, both questioning looks on their face. An almost amused smile on the green haired man.

He straightened his posture taking a deep breath and muttering a small apology to Flapjack that he couldn't be here to witness the moment he had encouraged Hunter to do for so long.

"My name is Hunter. I was the golden guard and Belos right hand man. I believed he was my uncle for so long and believed everything he told me. That the titan had big plans for me... that wild magic was wrong.. and dangerous. Along the way, I met someone. They were my best friend, and at the time I didn't know it yet. Luz, Willow's friend, introduced me to him. His name was Flapjack. He changed my veiw, encouraged me in the right direction, loved me for me-" his voice broke at that. Hunter took another deep breathe before continuing. "Flapjack, Luz, Gus, Camila, Vee, and your beautiful daughter Willow helped me see the truth. I know I did a lot of bad things before and blindedly followed a bad man and I know I'm not a witch or a human but I am me. I will do everything I can to be the best person that I can be, for myself, and for Willow." He chanced a glance and smiled at her. Her eyes were all teary, a hand to her chest, a beautiful smile on her face. "Willow told me you guys met during flyer derby, I- that's where we met. I am definitely one made from history... I don't mind repeating that..." He looked at both the men, meeting their eyes. "May I have your blessing to date your daughter?"

"..."

Hunter stood there, moments feeling like minutes, his galderstone stood still, anticipating their reactions. What their answer would be.

He didn't expect to be tugged into a hug a tight as this.

"On my titan that was so beautiful and sweet and just you are such a good person for my Willow." One of them sobbed out.

"You have our blessing." The other one said.

Hunter whimpered and hugged them back, before pulling away. "As long as she says yes." Harvey teased with a wink. Gilbert's arm wrapped around him with an approving smile on his face.

Hunter turned to ask Willow before being slammed into with another bearhug. The dark hair nestled under his chin, the rims of her glasses poking his skin but he didn't mind. "Is- is that a yes?"

She pulled away slightly, a glimmering shiny smile in her eyes and on her lips, "Yes!" She then pulled him in for a short but sweet and perfect kiss. "Thank you."
