Asagiri Gen is the character ever, he’s vaguely evil but nobody gives a shit so he just gave up. Has the strength of a house cat (canon) Threatening but nobody takes him seriously cuz he’s just such a goober. Left the bad guys in order to join the good guys, just to get absolutely bullied by everybody. Pathetic wet cat of a man, the buff old guy loves him for reasons that are completely unknown to everyone (canon). One of the smartest characters in the show, risked it all for a coke. Magnificent.

Dr Pinington (I'm aware I wrote incorrectly, my bad), alleyway doctor.

- Hair is layered from always tugging on it when stressed, often pulling some strands out

- Has scar from "Andrew Alcatraz" (eye surgery)

- Outer hands have a long scar from where he attempted to give himself an extra finger (and failed)

- Looks creepy but is actually a regular doctor (without licence)

- Srsly, he isn't used to smiling so it looks a little creepy but he's smiling genuinely. It's not his fault he looks like a psycho. He's trying.

- Always has a little interest in the human body and brain (especially Ford's)

- It all started after he lost his kidney...now has a weird obsession with kidneys (he's missing one, give him a break)

- Had to do some questionable surgeries and jobs that left him a little less mentally healthy but that's okay! Lobotomy!

Slowly decends into madness/spirals/gets obsessed over something to the point where they destroy their lives over it

Here are other minor signs you might want to look out for (doesn't apply to all Mad Scientist):

Very pathetic. A loser, if you will

Is gay

Wears glasses

Has a best friend who is extremely friendly and also a poet

Graying hair despite their relatively youthful appearance

Can be a little bit silly (as a treat)

Note that not all Mad Scientists are actual scientists. The Mad Scientist can be disguised as something else and may try to trick you; do not be fooled. Look for these traits to identify a real wild Mad Scientist.

I kid you not, my 4 year old on a walk the other day asked me why the moon was following us. My brain immediately went to senku and byakuya and I was genuinly surprised that kids ask that for real. Normally I'm a very much the type of parent that views it as an opportunity to share genuine educational info that's super cool, but decided to make myself mildly uncomfortable and give into the impulse to say 'Maybe the moon loves you' and i was not disappointed. She spent the 2 minutes telling me and her brother that the moon loves us and is coming with us on a walk.
