hi! i was actually raised in captivity on tumblr, so releasing me into the wild on tiktok would be unethical and possibly dangerous!

what was it abt trrd that makes u rly like their dynamic? what tropes do they hit on the viola barometer

OMG yani... u r seriously a real one. love u. I will talk in place of myself from three years ago, when I was in that weird period where I was testing the waters between character dynamics in twst. The very first episode with Heartslabyul absolutely hit me like a truck. I wasn't really expecting the writing to be as compelling as it was (despite being a Yana fan and being diehard for her work, the Disney branding made me not take it very seriously), and I was like, oh wow, realistic toxic relationships between teenagers with no autonomy over their emotions and circumstances?! This rules! And you can apply this to a lot of the dynamics in twst, but besides the fact that treyrid is the very first one you encounter, I find Trey himself a refreshingly unique character. I guess a lot of people enjoy more emotionally transparent characters, because it feels affirming and enjoyable to see certain dynamics expressed a certain way, but when there was only like four stories out for each character I was like 'Wow, for a guy who gets defensive about people questioning him about Riddle, a lot of the fundamentals of his character and motivations revolves around Riddle!'. 'But Viola! He's been openly exasperated, dare I say, even annoyed at Riddle! And not in the funny bickering yaoi way, also doesn't placating as a motivation make Trey's feelings towards Riddle artificial!' I was super surprised too when I read his stories (in a good way)! Can this man both love someone and resent what he's going through by proxy of that person's uncontrollable circumstances? The answer is yes! And so much material support these conflicting feelings that I feel like are attuned to more realistic relationships. That was, by far, the biggest appeal to me. Conflict in relationships can be more than just aimless bickering but "oh the bickering is actually because they totes have the hots for each other!". It's unspoken words, self-doubt... it's questioning who you are and who they are. Their relationship is imperfect, by account of something that is out of their control, but they choose to care and support one another unconditionally. Trope wise... treyrid was (is? it's more was) somewhat a codependency, in which Riddle used Trey as an emotional tether and Trey took advantage of Riddle's superficial vices in order to subdue his guilt over he and Riddle's shared trauma. A queen and her knight... but in the end, both of them know they're above those experiences and the influence they have in each other's lives is definitely a net positive. Omg I know you don't go here but even if this is like the baseline there's still so much about them that makes me go crazy... You know how Kircheis met Reinhard as a kid and went 'I, with my tiny child body, have decided that I will dedicate my life to support this other kid whose life sucks because I see that they are more than that.' That is literally what happened with Trey and Riddle when they were kids. Insane power tripped pretty boy with his kind gentle giant friend who acts as his moral compass for a majority of their appearances together. Said friend also challenged pretty boy's authority and pretty boy felt betrayed because they felt like the unconditional bond they had was breaking. Good stuff.

Genuinely such an interesting character. One of my "in my head forever" characters- u mentioning them makes me wanna rewatch the movie now so bad 🫡 see okokokok. I actually relate to vincent a lot, and i think that's where it comes, and ive talked abt this before, but i don't like the idea that he truly was the "good kid", his every expression and part of self was supressed because he tried to be the good kid. (I have a sibling who was kinda tough to raise, and i love them very much, and i love my mom, but i often did feel a natural preassure to be the good kid, to endure, to be quiet, to take care things on my own, and i failed at it more than vincent,!!! But to vincents parents his looks were already an equal failiour, on his part (i say this bc they were covering his face from fucking child hood). Having a constant reminder that youre supposed to be the ONE THAT MAKES LIFE EASY. The simple one and the HAPPY one because people are already busy with someone else. The picturesque one. No. Matter. What. Is. Happening. In. Your. Life. It gets fucking exhausting?) So some fanon depictions of him as the non-tragic one kinda gnaw at me. I dont know if the movie meant 2 hint at these themes (i think they did via the face hiding, and for a campy little horror movie HOW is a rly weirdly detailed one?) but if not its canon to me.

He brews his own tshots somehow idk if thats even possible but Lester makes it possible.

My one critique of fanon is that I see him as the youngest of the siblings and personally i think he's the oldest???? My hc for him is that hr was like, the kid the sinclairs had before they were ready to have kids, kind of just some little guy who ran wild, loved the twisn tho.

hi josiah has been on my mind a lot lately bc im writing a cult whump story and stuff... and im like obsessively imagining my protag (mary) being married off to josiah instead of her canon wife naomi... and like being indoctrinated into a different cult (the cult of horrible suffering and pet whumpees)... and like, she could still have her prayer closet and she could be locked into the closet by josiah and she could still be starved and have it be called "fasting".... and all that...... im foaming at the mouth i kinda rly wanna write a crossover fanfic but i'd have to reread the entirety of the devil's highway to get a good grip on my man again. god i love josiah. he would be SUCH a horrible husband to mary in many respects but then he would also be a very good husband in some ways and aaaaaaaa mary would absolutely 100% believe divorce is not an option and she would also help josiah cope with his suicidal tendencies and GOD ALL OF IT IS SO GOOD IN MY HEAD. im even coming off anon to share all of this even tho im usually too afraid AJDJSKSKSK anyway uh what do u think abt me writing a little fanfic maybe potentially sometime in the future...👉👈 im saying it now tho, i will Not be able to get josiah's awesome accent to work bc im not good enough of an english speaker for that AJDJDKDK but yeah i. am rabid about this concept

in my head, the fic would kinda go like this. mary's upbringing would be the same as in canon, so her family dies in an accident and shes raised by her religious grandma. her grandma passes when shes 19 and from then on shes very alone. and in the crossover she would like work as a waitress in the small town josiah frequents, in a diner he frequents. and they meet often and they kinda fancy each other and mary is religious like josiah and they talk abt jesus sometimes and also josiah eventually takes her out. and then josiah is just like okay that was enough courting i am now taking her By Force. so he kidnaps her on their next date. and then mary is just forced to be a nice stay at home wife and put up with josiah's human pets and cook and clean and go to church with him. they have a backyard wedding in front of god only because thats the only guy that matters anyway. mary is like fucking terrified all the time forever but also she has good moments with josiah and she grows to care for him deeply... im sorry i rambled so much but like yea this lives in my head rent fucking free

Would it still be a good starting point now? i wont pick final fantasy bc my answer is literally the same as yours LOL so um... i will pick zelda. my first zelda game was botw and honestly that is an AWFUL starting point for getting into zelda JFKLJSDL bc its just so. fucking different from every zelda game out there. and also bc its a love letter to the franchise, that probably a million references flew over my head bc i didnt know what they were referencing. but yeah like its just absolutely awful to go from a game where you can freely jump to a game where you have to ROLL.

but at the same time i dont think botw is an awful starting point. bc like.... its a good game. its a good Modern game. like the older zelda games, especially the 3d titles, are extremely outdated. i dont think anyone should be playing those in this day and age when botw/totk is there to experience instead. while not ideal, i think its fine to hit it off with a modern switch title, then work your way down to older titles.

of course 2d zeldas are a different thing. dare i say, the superior thing. also i dont believe anyone should get into zelda. bad franchise. except when the games are good. all pondering aside the best starting point for zelda is ALBW, then MM3D. maybe some MINISH CAP as a treat. those are the only existing zelda titles. to me. but jokes aside if someone is really gonna have a 'starting point' for zelda games then its definitely BOTW/TOTK or ALBW. doesnt matter whether its a switch title or ALBW played first, but its very very very very important that ALBW is played as well.

he also has issues with his strict father :(( his father doesn’t approve of him becoming an idol he even feels guilty that his older siblings are the reason he can have so much freedom :(( which, he shouldn’t feel that because his dad is a MEANIE >:{

anyways, now in !! era, he’s trying his best to leave his “playboy” image and strengthen his relationship with his younger undead members (koga and adonis). he wants to become a better, more reliable person! and i really admire that i love him sm kaoru my beloved

Helloooo I’m back!! I finally had time to read the new chapters of “Off the Menu” and lets j say I am v frustrated 🙂 can’t help but feel the same uneasiness that yn has expressed about heeseung like he j gives off a weird vibe and it’s uncomfy T T not talking abt ur wiring Becuz ur wiring his absolutely AMAZING that ur able to make me feel this way. Heeseung was def with someone when yn drove over cuz usually ppl would be touched but he was so oddly mad 😭😭

Yn has been nothing but understanding and yet he still says she’s asking for too much T T like is wanting to feel loved by someone u love too much 💀💀and again I do not believe heeseung has absolutely no time throughout the day, i work at a restaurant too and I have time to be on my phone and the whole bullshit abt him not texting a lot until he’s home is stupid too like if u rly cared abt yn u would text her. Like when u truly care abt someone ur willing to change and its not like she’s asking for too much T T

And our girl yn sigh, Idek what to say. for me Bella and Edward's relationship stems from the fact that they are both just such lonely ppl finally meeting someone who wanted to give them a chance, someone who finally understood one another. Bella was an outcast, she didn't feel like she fit in and was quite introverted. having someone who actually cared for her and wanted the wellbeing for her mustve meant a lot and she was enticed by this dashing stranger. and I mean I was also a teenager, if I met a guy like Edward I would do the same

at the same time, Edward seems like a man who lived an unfullfilling life. just going day by day, trying to find his place and failing. maybe it's not as severe as before but he still can't live up to expectations and wants of others. he reads minds, he knows everything abt everyone - but not Bella. and while others criticize it, I think there's sth beautiful in this. Edward's own mind is stormed by others thoughts but only with Bella, he finds comfort in the silence. he wants to know more abt her and does that in a way he was never really allowed to - just by talking

this is what I like abt their relationship, this kind of allowing each other to taste the life they never thought they have. and the kind of choice each of them makes. they both know it's dangerous to be around each other but their love is stronger than fear. I have just finished reading the Bree Tanner novella and she ponders on why would Cullens even keep up with Bella. so that's the fact driven time and time again - as much as everything is against them being with each other, they still will choose each other

I'm not saying this relationship is perfect, there are a lot of things I hate like the sleep watching or the fact that they say they love each other on the first date. but there's a lot to like abt them too. for me, Bella and Edward were just two lonely, depressed ppl who found each other at the right time and helped each other out. it's Bella's wonder of the world and Edward's desire to keep her safe. it's the silence when everything else screams

at the end lemme just say, that's what my fave Bellward moment actually is - last scene of Breaking Dawn where Bella exchanges her shield for Edward to give his mind a rest and show him a piece of herself. that's Bellward for me

How I feel about this character: idk how to talk abt her really but ill try my best. i do have my fair share of problems with some of her actions, but shes a kid so i forgive her (i always forgive kids. its just how i am). i like watching her become more emotionally open with mikan and her brother. ive been harsher with her before (ive NEVER hated or even disliked her, to be clear! in fact i love her) but my opinions on characters change depending on my mood. i learn smth new w every reread and this time i made sure to examine her closely and im more satisfied with her character development than i was before. i want to be a big hotaru fan! i just dont connect with her as much i guess.

HMMMMMMMAH rly hard to tell. Ok sorry bleach fans i love u but im gonna shit talk this show a bit. Pls dont read if u cant handle me rambling abt my personal experience w a show meant for 15 year old boys. I actually love it deeply !!!!!!! I enjoy ir a lot!!!!! However. I really struggle w watching the show sometimes. Its over 300 eps + the movies which i havent even gotten started with. It's difficult bc theres a lot of cool moments too but good lird esp at tge start the fights consist of characters deciding that they have more soul power bc of some memory they had and beatinh eachother. Everyone is confident there is character variety but everyone is like supposed 2 be a huge badass and idk thats just not my type of media (which is why orihime is actually one of my favourite characters bc she stands in such contrast w her confidence issues and damseliness. Also Ishida i love Ishida i love his arc in the umm when they had the bounts and his self reflection about his inabilitu to help the others + hes always rly analytical in fights. Mayuri too bcs all of his power comes from thinking & experimenrting & PREPARADNESS. I dont remember him ever mentioning soul power bc hes like only talking about technique. Zaraki is also incrhesting bc he is overpowered, but to a point of ridiculousness and where he has an one punch man styled conflict w being unable 2 find someone he has fun fightinh w) i like casts full of losers and freaks. Talking of freaks Tite Kubo is one and will NOT stop making fucked up jokes, esp about girls. His humour is shit theres been like. One scene where i laughed out loud and it was bc ichigos dad pelted him w no mercy bc hes used 2 him being able to fight but ichigo was just tired and he flew thru the room thats fr the only time ive laughed. Theres a lot of rly dark topics also treated very lightly, including when it comes to Mayuri??? Esp his treatment of Nemu. As far as ive seen!!! The storyline has an interesting end in the manga tho and like it seems more thoughtful but ive yet to see that. But the treatment of Nemu as a prop to show how awful Mayuri is and to also be fanservice rly. It frusturates me. Theres so much like, interesting stuff you could do w her character. Again tho im at ep like 180 so maybe there will be!!!! For the good tho Tite Kubo has just. Theeee most incredible eye for character design in my eyes hes so fuckinh good its ridiculous. Even a lot of the side characters are mega memorable and its no wonder a lot of thr characters are absolutely iconic. Also the show definetly gets better the beginninh is just so. Slow. As u can prolly pick up from my earlier notes there are a couple characters that i fuxking loooove aside from Mayuri. As for mayuri he is fuckinh viile and they make some gross jokes abt him too but he is so. Ill b real hes just sexy and also transformation coded so. Literally childhood fave chinhands emoji idc.
