i drew this around lunar new year ... when i wasnt feeling quite well haha ... i think i stopped working on it because there was a lot of negative space where the ''2025'' is and still is to the right of it ,it looked really empty but didnt know what to do with it. i wish i could remember what brushes i used for texturing, maybe i couldv done that to the background to make it more interesting. but i found this again yesterday when i was organising my files and added the lettering (numericaling ?❔❔❔) and the snake eye drop. which i remember i kept trying to do over and over before i stopped working on it months sago but it just wouldnt turn out right. it came to me pretty easily before i fell asleep last night though. i guess it just needed some time

I have to share the drama that’s been going on lately in my large fish tank and I think you’ll find it amusing as a fish person.

To set the scenario a while back discovered purely by chance that my male spotted silver dollar goes ham for Tetra brand corywafers (basically a small sinking disk wafer with a shrimp meal centre and an outer ring of vitamin/mineral blend) he’ll grab them and hold them in his mouth like an anime girl with toast running late for school.

This guy chews these while spinning them so he’s basically eating around the edges until it’s gone. His female partner initially tried one when she saw him with one but didn’t end up eating it. Until a couple months back when she suddenly decides actually she does like these.

These two wait each night below the spot where I drop these in to grab their ‘biscuit’. This of course drew the attention of some of the other fish in the tank who hadn’t previously been eating these (namely my angelfish pair and my gourami)

The gourami has no concept of manners and steals the biscuits right from the silver dollar’s mouths (not to mention touching everyone and everything in the tank every chance it gets). The female fights back via stealing the biscuit back again so it ends up going back and forth until one fish forfeits but the male is a pushover and just lets it happen and sits there looking like he’s wondering where his snack just dissapeared to.

Eventually he learned to hurry up and chew his down quickly to a point it’s small enough he can suck it entirely into his mouth and started sucking it in to hide it whenever he noticed the gourami headed his way and would spit it back out once the gourami had left.

About a month ago the angelfish decided they were going to try these biscuits so they’ve been attempting to copy the silver dollars method with mixed success due to their differing mouth structures.

Tonight however I saw one of these angelfish ‘sneak’ up behind the male silver dollar, produce a knocking sound (which I’ve since learned these fish can make and had been wondering for years now where tf that knocking keeps coming from all the time) this startles the silver dollar into dropping his biscuit which is then promptly stolen by said angelfish.

I knew angelfish were pretty clever but hadn’t realised HOW clever until this shrimp wafer drama started and have watched them learn and plot theft

(Meanwhile the Cory catfish these wafers were initially dropped in for still get ones I drop in a different spot of the tank where they wait and so far have avoided the drama)

Damn… I didn’t expect them to have a brain given how flat they are

anyways i got into epic the musical a while ago and im currently kinda fixating so guess what. forsaken x epic au!!! the forsaken cast takes the place of the epic characters btw.

shedletsky is odysseus, brighteyes is penelope, 1x is telemachus. while the others are called by their actual names in the au, 1x is called machus because i dont feel like calling them 1x. builderman (builder) is polites. guest1337 is eurylochus. dusekkar is that prophet dude uhh tiresias i think his name is.

i dont have much else set in stone but i have a few other ideas.

and, for shits n giggles. c00lkidd, bluudud, and prettyprincess as zeus, poseidon, and hades respectively. but i dont think im gonna follow with that. i also had the idea of john doe as like zeus and jane as hera. dont really have any other ideas though.

johan and [name] go to a cat cafe! (pure fluff, m!reader babies johan. it's also super small, but shh)

— IT'S SEVENTEEN PAST five, seventeen minutes too late. seventeen minutes ago, [name] was supposed to meet johan, and they were going to eat out.

he shouldn't have to panic, plus [name] wouldn't like that. and, johan is no child, so he paused the music pumping in his ears and rang [name]; twice.

he was frowning now, [name] never left him hanging like this. johan was made aware of [name]'s plans before they were even finalized. [name] hated him waiting around when he wasn't showing up.

[name] also hated when johan grew anxious.

so, he drew up to him from behind and wrapped his palms over johan's eyes. had it not been for [name]'s distinct perfume, johan would've lashed out at the sudden surprise.

"guess who?~" he whispered into johan's ear, pulling his entire body weight into himself.

johan melted into the half-embraced and peeled [name]'s hands away from him, he answered by arching his neck and placing a soft kiss to [name]'s lips.

"were you waiting?"

johan shook his head, "no, not long."

"c'mon, it's cold out."

[name] took johan's hand and quickly walked to his motorbike. he pulled off his long coat and draped it over johan, who looked at him puzzled.

"you'll be cold," he tried to refuse the coat, shaking his head and the coat off his shoulder.

"i won't be able to drive with it on," [name] kept a steady hand on his shoulders, towering over johan; johan might be tall, but [name] was a giant.

nothing was getting past [name], especially his baby cold and shivering on a motor bike in the middle of winter.

"i wore heat pads under this," he tugged slightly on his sweater as if to prove his point.

johan stared at him silently, waiting.

[name] tilted his head before he perked up, "oh!"

he leaned in and placed a kiss on johan's lips, and one on his head, "hold tight."

he climbed after, guiding johan's arms to tighten around his torso. it wasn't a very long ride. the cafe they wanted to go to was just ten minutes away, seven if [name] sped up, but speeding up meant more cold air and no one wanted that.

truthfully, [name] was very skeptical about this particular cafe; it was deep in the city, and you could only travel so far with a bike to get there, so you had to walk the rest of the way, maneuvering your way through damp alleyways.

throughout their little walk, [name] kept one hand inside his pocket and the other intertwined with johan's, who was still bundled up in [name]'s overcoat (he tried to refute, unsuccessfully).

"we're here," [name] said, slight relief in finally escaping the cold and into a warm cafe.

it was a cat cafe.

it didn't even take a minute for johan to abandon [name] and run to the cats. he had to actually be held down while [name] removed his coats to hang them.

a small conversation with the barista told him that the cafe originated in japan and that the owner opened a branch in korea because it was her childhood home of two years.

"ah, i see," [name] nodded understandingly.

"oh! i'm sorry! what would you like?" the barista—a young woman—turned her attention to the tablet in her hands, ready to take [name]'s order.

"i'll do the vanilla latte, the americano, and could you just add a couple of your best pastries in there?" [name] reached for his phone.

"sure, one vanilla latte, one americano, and i'll put one blueberry muffin, one chocolate, and two servings of the strawberry shortcake, or would you rather have something else?"

"could you do just one shortcake instead of two? and add a lemon cheesecake, the rest is fine."

"got it! can i have a name for your order?"

"[name], can i pay by phone?"

"yes! you can pay here, and your order will be ready shortly."

[name] gave his thanks to the barista and left to sit near johan. he watched lovingly as johan played with numerous cats. many were on his lap, and he was rubbing faces with another. sneakily, [name] snapped several pics, and with how good they were turning out, one of them is definitely going to be his wallpaper.

"[name]! look!"

"hm?"

"this one looks like you!" johan held up a cat, catching [name] off guard with how striking the resemblance was.

"you're ri—!" [name] looked down when he felt a nudge on his shin, a brown cat with striking grey eyes was mewling at his feet. it leaped up to [name]'s lap, curling there and purring softly.

[name] let out a noise, amused, "and this kitty looks like you." he held up the cat to place a smooch on its head.

"would you like me to take a photo?" the barista had watched the entire exchange, she thought that since the cafe wasn't busy, it won't be too much of a big deal.

"okay!" johan's eyes were uncharacteristically shining. he went to where [name] was sitting with the cat snuggled in his arms. the light hitting them just right.

when he sat down, the two cats began to meow at each other, bumping noses. "those two are very cute, they are rarely apart," the barista remarked, beginning to take photos with [name]'s phone after he handed it to her.

[name] let out a laugh, leaning in to capture johan's lips with his.

so. uh. yyyyyeah. when i said i liked all interpretations of their dynamic equally i uh. i lied. and to be totally and completely and 100% honest with you it speaks volumes to the state of the internet that i have been legitimately afraid to say that like i've genuinely been debating and turning it over in my head and arguing with myself about it for days because i don't want people frickin' YELLING at me and telling me to off myself because i like a dadgum fictional ship but it's valentine's and my friend has been hyping up the crap outta me so i'm past the point of having a reasonable excuse to chicken out (and i know myself and if i don't do it today then i likely won't do it at all)

anyway words actually cannot express how obsessed i am with post-o66 aus in which they stay together (largely because i so completely refuse to believe they'd be willing to split up after THAT, ESPECIALLY that soon) so yeah shoutout to the softest fluffiest gut-punch-iest pair in the galaxy to whom everything bad has happened but who stay silly despite the horrors
