How long it took Simon and Johnny to cultivate a life in the pac rim AU. From the crushing despair of not being drift compatible to each finding a left side pilot. For Simon alone it was a feat. His life and experience is not easy to share, and how hard he had to work to let go, and not control or hold back his memories during the handshake.

Even after disconnection, he ghost drifts. He’s still connected in a way, and after five years of drifting together, he and his co-pilot started to share some mannerisms, personality traits, etc. It was a bond built from mutual understanding, and respect. He and Johnny both have been incredibly successful in their Jaegers, and he’s not willing to just plug you in because someone tells him to. He’s not willing to take the leap. Or the risk. He has a life he needs to protect, a soul mate, a love that his deceased co-pilot revered and respected. Who are you, compared to him?

So when he’s told to report to the training room for sparring, only a day after you arrive on base, he simply just… doesn’t. He leaves you there standing in a sea of recruits, with current pilots watching from the wings, waiting for a door that never opens.

She mentioned her son. And him being Stable.

Now. One could assume she was talking about Drey being in the Block trapped and not going anywhere his location "Stabilized".

However, I don't think that's right. I think she was talking about Jayson.

I think, we haven't once seen the REAL Jayson Ferin. That in his grief for his daughter Ava, he had been in a vulnerable state, thrown himself into his work, didn't really question orders.

Now, in comes his Mother, someone he knows and trusts. She tells him about this new device the Navy has created. How it could help him better serve the Navy, better protect his family.

She used the brainwasher on him, not to a significant degree, not to get rid of his base personality. But enough for him to never question orders, always bring in a pirate (regardless of who it might be), to be a good soldier, and a father that can protect his daughter. Being more a puppet than a dutiful Father and Soldier

I believe there was a point where Drey mentioned that Jayson changed. That he went from being more neutral, to more antagonistic towards Drey and pirates in general. Odd how that was called out...

He may have been stoic before, but he got aggressive and cold at some point.

But of course, we have no real way of knowing until Grizzly clues us in more.

I was thinking about Ted’s fear to get close to his kid because he’s going to leave. Dottie reassuring him that it’s part of being a parent, but you have to do it- win, lose or tie.

What about him being open to love again? What if it was also something he was inadvertently having trouble with if his love could also end up leaving.

Halt absolutely adores Cassandra, Steph, Babs, and all the girls in the batfam. He's alright with the others and guys, but he adores those girls. Just like how I wholeheartedly believe that despite Will being his kid, his favorite was Alyss. So typical of him to like his daughter-in-law more.

He absolutely indulges Cass when she wants to learn how the rangers move silently and seem to disappear even though Halts is so sure that she might be one of the best at those things he's ever seen.

Steph tags along, and he's impressed at how well she moves and blends with her purple outfit.

Wildly he also really like Selina. Halt thinks Selina can do better than Bruce. This is despite that fact that he has caught Selina trying to steal multiple times. She doesn't know how he does it, but he's always there.
