Everytime i see someone saying Conquest or the nohrian siblings are superior i glitch out of anger and resist the urge to steal every tendon of their body.
Both the families have great things and I love em both but honestly the amount of Nohrian fanart and love here makes me not want to like them because what about the hoshidan family? They are great too! More healthy overall too!
I feel like the idea of seeing the side of the villian and stuff (what is Nohr and the Nohrian family) is so overrated and one of the main reasons for this when, personally, the story of the victims can be just as valuable and great, like all the flaws people don't like of the hoshidan sibs like how they are overall distant, Hinoka having this hero complex, the descend to madness of Ryoma in conquest, Takumi and Sakura feeling abandoned or not enough from their older siblings; IT ALL COMES FROM CORRIN'S KIDNAPPING, IT MOSTLY IS GARON'S FAULT!!!!! YOU CANNOT EXCUSE THAT MAN OR MAKE HIM BETTER NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU TRY TO SEE IT FROM ANOTHER ANGLE!!!
And I am not saying the Nohrian siblings are bad by any means, they are victims of Garon and Nohr's royal system in diferent ways and yeah the hoshidan siblings also struggle from Hoshido's royal system, to make it all fair, but it's just sad at this point comparing the imbalance of art and stuff from the routes.
Just wanted to rant

Guilty Love in English, but singable! Version 2!
I saw this version, tried singing it, and couldn’t resist iterating on it!
Objective: rephrase some lines for better flow and musicality; improve on the German (that replaces the original lyrics’ English); sneak in some one-word references to Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for fun and profit.
Result: below! Enjoy ;)
Tumblr media
Music to sing along to (good luck outsinging Toshiyuki Kusuda)
Your stunning dress caught my eye, and I dreamt of my arms around you I saw you put down your glass and look over and see me staring I want to ask where we should go together, nur ich und du But I cannot, I’m on my way to a trial
I’m driving my bike and I turn to the right at the corner – it’s the courthouse! Ach, the dizzying thrill in my heart as I enter the courtroom – it’s a full house! I’d ask you out for a drink zu zweit Now all I get is a glass of Urteil What is true, what is lies? For the answer to that Just ask the carefree wind!
That very evening, I held my guitar’s neck so very tightly And your sweet hand was in mine, and the feeling was overwhelming I’d love to sing you a beautiful ballad, mein Lied für dich But I cannot, I’m on my way to the crime scene
I run down the stairs to the darkened dance floor, let’s get this investigation started! All the clues and the corpse and the testimony, they’re holding a dance party! Gazing with you at the Himmelzelt I’m praying that our Zeit anhält What is real, what is false? For the answer to that Just ask the carefree wind!
Deep in the deepest of darkness (schuldige Liebe) The crime uncovers its secrets (schuldige Liebe) The path of truth is not easy (schuldige Liebe) I walk surrounded by shadows (schuldige Liebe) Searching night and day for your guiding light For the sake of our future
These sparkling tears in your eyes, even they look enchanting on you The dreaded moment of parting draws closer and ever closer I want to start this all over again, love, nur ich und du But I cannot, I’m on my way to a trial
I’m driving my bike and I turn to the right at the corner – it’s the courthouse! Ach, the dizzying thrill in my heart as I enter the courtroom – it’s a full house! I’d ask you out for a drink zu zweit Now all I get is a glass of Urteil Who can tell where our love is destined to go?  Just ask the carefree wind!  Or if it’s not good enough, you could go ask Herr Forehead himself!
Objection!
The future is an enigma (schuldige Liebe) No way to foresee the verdict (schuldige Liebe) Uncounted crimes and wrongdoings (schuldige Liebe) Who will help pass fair judgment on them (schuldige Liebe) Deep in the deepest of darkness (schuldige Liebe) The crime uncovers its secrets (schuldige Liebe) The path of truth is not easy (schuldige Liebe) I walk surrounded by shadows (schuldige Liebe) Searching night and day for your guiding light My guilty love
nur ich und du: just me and you zu zweit: for two Urteil: verdict mein Lied für dich: my song for you Himmelzelt: firmament, sky Zeit anhält: time stops schuldige Liebe: guilty love
Big thanks to:

When Atsushi finally enters the tent, they will find it... empty. Bed made, tools put away, ore neatly stacked in a corner. The usual tidiness the blacksmith held within their forge seems to permeate in the small space; to be expected, one supposes. However... there seems to be a letter, neatly folded on the bed. Written on the outside, in neat and familiar writing are the words:
To whoever finds this
And inside is... a note. A goodbye.
I am sorry. Sorry for deceiving you all and sorry for doing this. But I have to. I must. Disobedience has always been a flaw of mine...
There was an extra page in the documents Atsushi and I received yesterday. One I kept to myself. It has a location of one particular individual I have been searching for some time: my father.
I have gone after him.Only one of us will leave that place alive. I intend to make it me -- or I will die trying. But I cannot keep running away from this shit anymore. I can’t. Not with so much blood on my hands.
As the former heir of the Takumi clan, I am responsible for my father’s sins. I cannot let that BASTARD hurt any more people. I cannot continue to be a coward. To those innocent and.. to those I consider my family. My REAL family. The people in my life who honestly care about and love me.
To all in the Resistance: know that I cherish each and every one of you. I have never liked the word ‘family’ due to my upbringing and my past... but I suppose things change, no? I suppose... you are all my family. How amusing it has taken me staring death in the face to realize this. History tends to repeat itself... I guess I have never learned from my mistakes.
To Atsushi: Tell them I’m sorry. Knowing them, they are going to feel some semblance of guilt. The idiot. This is my decision; one I have made ENTIRELY ON MY OWN.
One I made years ago. One I intend to KEEP this time.
If I come back alive, I face my punishment willingly. If I die... don’t mourn for me. I don’t deserve it. I am simply trying to make amends for my failure years ago. If I had killed the bastard then, perhaps more people would still be alive... but I suppose we will never know, hm? Either way: the world is better off without him. The Resistance and the people of Inazuma will be safer. That... is all I can hope for.
Which is why I have to try.
In the event of my death, I have just one request: in the chest at the foot of my bed are a bundle of letters. Please send them to all addressed there. I don’t want to worry those I love in Teyvat to wonder what has happened to me. They have a right to know. Even if I don’t deserve their love.
May your blades remain sharp and your reflexes swifter than lightning itself.
Lio
On the floor, just sticking out from under the bed seems to be another piece of paper; perhaps it had fallen in the blacksmith’s departure. Looking at it closely, Atsushi will instantly recognize it as the missing paper from the day before.
With the location clearly marked out.
Once they had finished their usual routines of the night, they bid the rest of the resistance good night and finally go to do the same to Lio (Even if he knew the other wouldn't reciprocate it...or maybe he would- regardless.). Though concern lined Atsushi's face again before they even entered the blacksmith's tent... ever since their expedition Lio had been acting strange, stranger than usual. It worried them.
"Lio?? Lio, are you here??" Silence. It wasn't until they allowed the tiger's eyes to take over for their own within the dark do they find everything in it's place except for the letter lying on the bed which caused their head to tilt and for them to go over to it and pick it up- allowing themselves to read over it in silence.
That idiot... What part of 'I won't let you die alone' doesn't he understand???
Tumblr media
Atsushi quickly looked around for any other signs of his departure before they stood...and slipped on the sheet of paper, crashing to the ground and groaning. That's what they got for getting up too fast and too anxiously.
"owwwwww........"
Finally picking up the piece of paper they SOMEHOW slipped and fell on, Atsushi examined it, even with the letter in hand before closing their eyes and nodding. Of course Lio went after his father- they had talked about ending that nightmare before.
The son shouldn't have to bear the sins of the father.
Getting to their feet, Atsushi looked around again before hurrying out to fetch their claymore- better to be prepared to save his life. The looming guilt wouldn't do- they had to push past it, be BETTER... They only regretted the things they hadn't done before, they never regretted the things they did.
they just had to wait for the right moment to get to him without alerting anyone else...

A/N: For the @academy-emblem-zine, which is having a leftovers sake! I couldn’t resist putting all the Royals together as one big kinda happy family. As happy as they can get, with Leo and Takumi in the same room. XD
“This isn’t fair,” Hinoka grumbled, sprawling forward onto the table and wrinkling her school uniform. Her arms dangled off the edge and she rested her chin on the wooden surface. Shooting a baleful glare at Azura, she pouted. “Why can’t you represent us? You’re from our house. Kinda.”
Kinda was how Corrin would describe it too, the strange mishmash that was her family. Put together a twin brother, two sets of adoptive siblings, and kidnapping, and it made the holidays very strange, to say the least. The nice thing about going to Garreg Mach was that her entire family was bundled up into one house. For once, she didn’t have to flip a coin to decide which side to live with it.
If anything, sharing a house might have helped her two families intertwine. Inside the Purpure Kinshis classroom, Ryoma and Xander were sitting in a corner, writing an essay together. Camilla was standing behind her and Kamui, braiding their hair in dozens of different designs. Even Elise and Sakura were sitting in the front, watching intently as Azura taught them how to dance. It had been decades since the last time Nohr and Hoshido were this close. It was almost like they hadn’t nearly started a war, fully intent on wiping out one another.
Well, everyone was close except for her other brothers of course. As usual, her grumpy middle brothers were ignoring everyone as they sat separately at their own tables. Leo was studying magic, and Takumi frowned deeply as he restrung his bow. At least they weren’t arguing, their normal default. Corrin sighed. It felt like they were a small push away from really integrating with everyone, but that push was going to be a hard one.
“Me?” Azura paused mid-dance, her long robes swaying around her as she came to a stop. Pleased, she rubbed her wrist as she gently reminded, “I’m a teacher. It wouldn’t be fair.”
“Fair shmair.” Hinoka puffed her cheeks and jutted her lip, looking every bit a sad puppy. “They’re just scared we’d win. You’re the best dancer in the school and they know it.”
“Oh no.” Azura smiled bashfully, her cheeks pink. She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. “Olivia is a great dancer too. She’s taught me a lot of things.”
“Really?” Leo looked up from the magical history book he was paging through. Doubtful, he raised a brow and asked, “She can barely handle teaching a class, but she’s teaching you things?”
“Like what, how to be even more shy?” Takumi grumbled at the same time, leaning back into his seat.
As soon as they realized what’d happened, Takumi and Leo snapped their heads toward one another, their lips already curling into an insulting snarl. There was a long silence, as they realized how similar their statements were. Their faces twitched, torn between anger and praise, before they slipped back into what they were comfortable with: a distrustful glare.
So they were paying attention after all. Corrin sighed as she watched her two brothers eye one another. “Even Elise doesn’t do this to Sakura anymore.”
Camilla quickly and neatly gathered the dozens of braids she’d already made on Corrin’s head, weaving them into one larger braid. Glancing at them, she gave a fond laugh. “That is part of what makes them both so adorable.”
“That doesn’t really help,” Kamui sighed as well, eyeing them over his book. Sometimes it felt like she and Kamui were the only ones with common sense. “At least they aren’t challenging each other to duels anymore.”
“You both are so stupid,” Elise grumbled, hopping off her seat. She marched toward Leo and stood in front of him, her hands on her hips. Gripping his book, she growled, “You both like almost all the same things, just be friends already!”
“Elise.” Leo tried to tug his book free, but she refused to let go. Gritting his teeth, he gave up. “Everyone can’t be friends.”
“Why not?” Elise argued back, glaring at Leo. “That’s the only way to bring peace, by being friends. And if we can’t do it, then how can we expect our people to do it?”
Ryoma lifted his head from his paper, warmly regarding Elise. He nodded approvingly. “That is the right attitude. You are quite wise, despite your age.”
“Despite her childishness at times, Elise has always seen things differently,” Xander agreed proudly. His eyes crinkled as he smiled at her. “She’s even taught me a few things.”
“…I don’t know why, but I’m feeling insulted,” Elise muttered, crossing her arms and squinting at her brother.
“Now, now, back to the matter at hand. Perhaps I can be our representative?” Xander sat up a little straighter, a little prouder. He glanced at Ryoma. “You are teaching me the traditional Hoshidian dance. What better way to show our two families united?”
“That is an inspiring thought.” Ryoma stroked his chin thoughtfully. Considering it for a few minutes, he proposed, “Perhaps after a few more lessons? I am sure we can find time this week, after we hand in this paper.”
“What? You’re so busy as is.” Elise snorted. Stomping over to Sakura’s desk, she grabbed her by the hand and pulled her up. “We can be the representatives.”
“U-u-us?” Sakura stuttered, flushing a deep red at the idea. She shook her head violently. “N-no, we can’t!”
“Come on, it’ll be great. And cute.” Elise pulled Sakura closer and whirled her around. “Everyone’ll like it.”
“Ohhh.” Letting go of Corrin’s hair, Camilla clapped her hands in delight. “This is a wonderful idea. We should take you both dress shopping.”
Corrin felt her hair bounce on her back. Picking up one of the braids, she stared at the impressive texture it had, the dozens of braids her sister had managed to make in minutes. Was that a frightening skill or an amazing talent? Or both, probably both. “Aren’t we only allowed one representative?” she pointed out regretfully.
“Yeah.” Hinoka groaned, looking at Azura once more. “And that should have been Azura.”
“That still can’t happen,” Azura replied ruefully. “But I can teach one of the little ones, if you like. It wouldn’t be against the rules.”
“But which one?” Camilla muttered, tapping her chin as she looked from Elise to Sakura. “Ohhh, it’s far too hard to choose.” With a defeated sigh, she wrapped her arms around the two young girls, squeezing them into a tight hug. “To pick one and hurt the other…I simply can’t do it.”
“T-thank you,” Sakura wheezed, Camilla’s grip far too tight.
“Can’t breathe,” Elise gasped, hitting Camilla’s arm.
“If you’re going to have to teach someone anyway, why not Corrin?” Leo suggested, a snide sneer on his face as he looked at her. “She’s already learning from Azura as is.”
This was revenge for pointing out his tie was inside out. She just knew it. Corrin glared at her brother, sliding a finger across her throat execution style. Revenge would be sweet, once she got out of this situation. If she got out of this situation. “I think Sakura and Elise are better options,” she quickly said, trying to erase Leo’s idea before it settled into anyone’s mind.
“Corrin?” Camilla drawled out, her head slowly turning toward her. It was like reading a horror book, where the victim had gained the monster’s attention. Her eyes glinted as the idea took root. “That would be lovely, I know exactly how to dress you.”
Corrin swallowed. There had to be something she could do, someone she could—
Next to her, Kamui buried his nose deeper in his book and Corrin stared. Well. What were siblings for, if not saving one another? “Kamui might be better,” she suggested desperately, tossing her brother under the bus. “He’s had lessons too.”
He glared at her, not wanting any part of this. “No, no, you can do it.”
“You’re more graceful,” she bit out, kicking his leg. I’ll make it up to you, she mouthed.
He gritted his teeth and kicked her back. Still not doing it.
“Corrin, Kamui, don’t fight.” It was too late. While they weren’t paying attention, Camilla swooped down like a hawk catching her prey and gathered them both in her arms. Tightly squeezing them, she shook her head. “We mustn’t argue about such petty matters.”
Suddenly, Corrin understood why Elise had turned redder than a tomato. “Too…tight…”
“No, I will just have to ask Lady Rhea to allow both of you to dance.” Camilla stood up straight, dragging them both up with her. “To be denied the chance to get both of you outfits, to see you dance together, I cannot allow that to happen. Not you, my precious darlings.”
With what little conscious she had left, Corrin glared at Leo. She was going to kill him for this.

multimuse asks ; accepting
@luck-crowned
Jay i can’t believe how long this answer is about to get.
9. why were you drawn to each one of your characters?
Huaisang’s main draw for me was the fact that he isn’t some great cultivator or an amazing fighter? I have a weak spot for tacticians and family disappointments and he’s both so I treasure him.
I originally wasn’t going to pick up Jiang Cheng, but the more I saw of him the harder I fell for him. He’s full of rage and love and emotions, he’s very much like a storm. Also, he loves dogs and that’s super important to me.
I added Song Lan because he’s big, stoic and gay and that's all the reason I need.
Wei Wuxian was a MISTAKE, but now he’s stuck here
Lan Jingyi was added because hes smol and loud and cute and he’s got that family disappointment energy that i’m super attached to
Ja’far is queen on my blog FOR SO MANY REASONS. His loyalty, his intelligence, his mom-friend energy, his protectiveness, hIS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT I COULD HONESTLY SCREAM ABOUT JA’FAR FOR HOURS
I added Kouha because i love that tiny, bloodthirsty shithead. He’s so ready to brawl but also he loves his family and friends so much im so weak what an angel
Masrur was purely an impulse add and he doesn’t say much but i love him? I love his pride and his sarcasm and i just,,,, my good red lion,,,,
Titus has that “fuck the rules, I do what I want” energy but he goes from using it to be an absolute shithead to using it to save people and adopt a small child who would have otherwise died from having her life-force siphoned off to power the magic city they live in and you can probably guess from that why I needed him on my blog
Soren is my absolute favorite FE character. My tiny gay dragon. so harsh, so savage, but cares so much about the people he loves. A work of art, truly a masterpiece.
I added Takumi because Tracie added Leo. Takumi drew me to him because he’s just,,,,he’s so many levels of Chaotic Stupid I treasure him, what a fucking idiot.
NILES IS HERE BECAUSE I GUESS I LIKE WRITING THOTS FOR SOME REASON IDK WHY. He has self-esteem issues and that makes him qualify as a muse of mine i guess
Ryoma is here because he’s a dumb spicy lobster boy and I cannot resist him.
Inigo/Laslow is here because again, I guess i just really like writing dumb slutty boys. But that aside I really enjoy his ‘keep smiling, even when life hurts’ mentality? Like? that’s so hhhhh,,,he’s a good boy.
GIEVE. GIEVE. WHERE DO I START WITH GIEVE??? HE”S JUST??? PERFECTION??? HE’S A SLUTTY, BISEXUAL ARCHER BARD WHO SECRETLY CARES MORE THAN HE LETS ON??? HE MEETS LITERALLY ALL OF MY STANDARDS
Soo-Won is here because he’s complex and fascinating and also very very pretty and I just,,, I’m such a sucker for characters that play dumb only to be lowkey super capable. See: Huaisang
Again. Jae-Ha is,,,,everything I could ever desire in a muse,,,,HE”S JUST SO,,,, HHHH,,,,BOY,,,,,IM LOVE,,,
Yotaka is here because i loved the ONE ARC HE WAS IN SO MUCH and also he’s gorgeous and also also, i love picking up minor characters so I can flesh them out.
TAE-JUN,,,, I’M SHAKING,,,, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS THE ONLY REASON I NEED TO GIVE BUT HE’S ALSO SO SOFT AND EMOTIONAL AND THAT FAMILY DISAPPOINTMENT ENERGY GETS ME EVERY TIME YO
Hiryuu is, again, that kind of minor character that I love to love, but honestly I was super drawn to his? Loving nature? Like? what a good, affectionate dragon man,,, I’m crying,,,,
SANZO. Sanzo is a great example of my OTHER perfect muse type. See on one side you’ve got my thotty bard type and then on the other you have my spicy depressed bitch type and GOD. SANZO. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He cares so more than he lets on, i’m weak. I love the gun monk
Kurogane is here because Kit’s Fai is here but also because I’ve had his muse for ACTUAL DECADES? So, yknow. he lives here. he’s such a good man, so loving and protective and his character development gets me so much hhhhhh
Johann is EVERYTHING TO ME. Minor character again, mom energy again, Loving and Protective again, BUT ALSO ADD TO THAT BEING 100% FLAMBOYANTLY, OPENLY GAY, i’m crying, he’s PERFECT.
Vanitas is a fucking garbage shithead gremlin and i love and hate him in equal measure. He has been doomed to die since the first fucking chapter and i honestly can’t wait, put him down. (but also don’t, please don’t hurt my baby)
Jin is here because Samurai Champloo is one of my favorite shows ever and Jin has been my boy, like Kurogane, FOR DECADES.
Arslan is here because he is the goodest child ever to live and I needed a good son to balance out all these fucking AWFUL PEOPLE on my blog.
11. is there another muse you’ve been thinking of adding or writing for? who?
I’ve been thinking of adding Narsus from Arslan Senki, but I'm one of the only Arslan Senki roleplayer on tumblr and it brings depression ashgfkl
I’m also tempted by many book characters, including but not limited to Kaladin and Renarin, Elodin from Name of the Wind, and Childermass from Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell.
19. for each muse, is there a character you wish had a blog so you could interact with them?
I’m gonna actually just separate this into source material unless there’s a specific one that a muse wants.
My MDZS muses really aren’t craving anyone in particular but I’m always happy to see more blogs pop up.
Magi muses are pretty happy too, but again, more Magi peeps are never a problem
Soren wants an Ike REALLY BADLY, but that aside my other FE muses are pretty chill.
Gieve would love to have a Farangis, Jaswant and/or Daryun around. Arslan wants a Daryun and an Elam and Narsus, if I add him, also would love to have a Daryun and an Elam around.
Almost all of my AkaYona muses want more Hak in their lives!!!!!!!! Soo-Won would also like to have some of his generals around. He enjoys them. Jae-Ha misses his pirate mom. Yotaka would be really happy to have a Princess Kouren around. Tae-Jun wants Heuk-Chi and/or Kyo-Ga in his life, and Hiryuu would love to have Guen around he would be a very happy dragon king.
Sanzo says he wants no one around but thats a lie, i would kill for him to have ANY of the other Saiyuki boys around tbh
Kurogane would like the rest of his group around.
Johann and Vanitas are just happy with what they have, they don’t need to ask for more
Jin needs his dumb friends pls thank you
AAAAND that’s it!

Ryoma, Unmarried
Thank you so much for commissioning me again, @xpegasusuniverse! This was so much fun to write açksjdlasd I hope you like it! ;D
Summary: A few months passed after the war, and Ryoma is still the only royal left without a marriage partner. Or rather, the only person in the entire army! He feels ashamed and pushed aside. When he was about to choose an arranged marriage partner, a friend from the past visits and takes him out drinking...
Commission info HERE and HERE!
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
The war against Nohr had ended and, with it, another unexpected battle: against the incarnation of a Silent Dragon long forgotten.
Corrin led the hoshidan army to defeat the possessed King of Nohr, Garon, as well as his remaining loyal forces. It was a hard-fought battle, one that would have been impossible to win without their strong bonds of love and trust.
Of their bonds of love and trust.
After the battle was over, Nohr crowned a new King: Prince Leo, who had signed a peace treaty with King Ryoma of Hoshido. From then on, both kingdoms would only know peace.
... Indeed. Peace.
Peace and bridge-gapping opportunities went very well together, as princess Hinoka said so, mere weeks after the war was over. She wanted her relationship with the nohrian knight to be known all across Hoshido and Nohr, so the people from both kingdoms could come to understand that the war was now a thing of the past: and that love could blossom from between them.
Without a reason to dislike nohrians as the new age of tranquility began, Ryoma could do nothing but acknowledge his sister's claims, publicly announcing her marriage to their people.
'The First Princess is marrying before her Lord Brother, the King? What's happened?' The tongues wagged whenever they had the opportunity, poking Ryoma at places he never thought they would. It was custom that the oldest sibling would be first to marry, then the second oldest, and so on, until the youngest.
And yet, Ryoma blessed not only Hinoka's, but Takumi's and Sakura's marriages both, while still being an unmarried King.
Mere months had passed since the peace treaty, and yet the people and the court already talked about King Ryoma's inability to conceive a heir or of finding a marriage partner.
'There are hundreds of noble girls eager to claim the position of Queen of Hoshido! What is King Ryoma waiting for?' Were their constant words, making the newly crowned King even more burdened with his siblings' marriages.
Of course, he should’ve been happy for them, but the circumstances of their relationships as well as how they conveyed their feelings to him... Still made him bitter to this day. He couldn't forget the shame he felt that fateful evening as he shared the same table of the siblings who kept their affairs from him.
He had always looked forward and only forward, never making time for his heart to find place with someone. He saw as each of his subjects found love, one after the other: Saizo took Mozu back to his village so she could learn how to be the wife of a ninja, as did Kaze and Kagero with their loved ones.
Corrin, his brother by heart, left for the Fire Tribe to undergo their rigid training in hopes to be accepted to marry Rinkah. Sakura herself left a short while after her marriage; to live with her young husband back at the Wind Tribe -- one that she would lead in the future, alongside Hayato. Hinoka brought Silas to live in the castle, though they also had a house at the border between Hoshido and Nohr so they could always be aware of the great step their relationship meant to both kingdoms.
Azura left with Kaden for the kitsune hamlet.
Every single one of the royal siblings had married before their King could even fathom finding something akin to love in his life. He wouldn't have been bothered about it if the circumstances had been different, but to this day he could not stop thinking about it. As a King, he had to find a partner so as to bring his subjects the peace of heart of knowing that he would deliver an heir to his rule. As a Prince, it was his duty to oversee his siblings' marriages and give them to their partners with a still heart and a smile.
As a brother, it bothered him to no end that his siblings worked behind his back to bring shame to him!
... No, that wasn't it. He knew his siblings only wanted to be with their loved ones. As a man, he couldn't help but feel betrayed because while he had his efforts focused on the war, his family found even stronger bonds than their brotherly ones. They each found someone more important to them than him.
The anxiety of having to meet his people's expectations as well as the utter feeling of abandonment made Ryoma battle a headache every single day.
He was already going through some of the noble women willing to rise to the crown. If he wouldn't marry for love, he would for convenience. Anything to stop feeling like this.
"Gah, what a sour face I come to find the day I decide to visit!" A familiar and disgusted voice sounded from the door, making Ryoma look up from his desk.
His shoulders sagged immediately when he laid his eyes upon the blonde woman giggling by the entrance. "Scarlet! You didn't tell me you were going to visit."
Scarlet never lost her smirk, entering the room without waiting for invitation. "Yeah, well, I didn't know I was gonna visit, either. I remembered I owed you something, so I just came here on a whim to give it to you!"
"Owe me something?" Ryoma frowned. "Scarlet, the one indebted to you is me. Without your help back then-"
"Ookayy, stop!" She raised her palm right in front of Ryoma's nose. "I said I was gonna give you something, but the moment I saw your sour face, I changed my mind. I mean, I'll still give it to you, but somewhere else! C'mon, come with me." She pulled him by the arm, making him get up from his seiza.
"Scarlet- I cannot leave right now, I still have many duties-"
"Isn't a Kingsly duty or whatever to receive foreign guests? There you have it. You're gonna show me around RIGHT NOW."
Ryoma felt the burden so long over his shoulders to dissipate. "I can never win against you, can I?"
The wyvern knight smiled widely, a faint shade of pink covering her cheeks. "That's right, ya can't! Although I asked you to 'lead the way', I already know where we're going -- I found a smashin' little bar just behind the western gate: it was a stand-and-drink thingy! You hoshidans are so creative with the small space you live in."
For the first time in months, Ryoma let out a heartfelt laugh. "Hah, very well, then, Scarlet. Lead the way. I'm eager to find out about this 'smashing little place'."
Scarlet snorted loudly, "even your tongue's too used to this flowery formal speech! Loosen up, you!" She slapped his back and laughed, quickly making her way outside.
With a smile, Ryoma followed. He hadn't felt this free in so long!
Only after setting foot outside did the King notice the time: it was already evening! How long had he been staring at those miai pictures for?
"C'mon, Ryoma, I can't pull you the whole night!" Scarlet's voice brought him back from his thoughts, her hand pulling his across the deserted corridors.
"How do you know these alleys? I assume this is the first time you've visited..."
"I'm used to alleys and stuff from back in the resistance, yeah? I'm just good at finding my way, I guess."
"What a curious skill to have. You'll need to teach me some other time." He chuckled, squeezing his hand on hers.
Scarlet felt her entire head explode from embarrassment after finally realizing she had been holding his hand that entire time. "W-what, you want me to visit even more? Or do you wanna know how to sneak out by yourself?" She tried to play it cool by not looking back, feeling her hand sweating.
"A little of both, I think." He admitted, "sneaking around is always a good skill to have."
"But you are pigheaded!" She choked on her breath, not believing at how dense a man could be. "Oh well, whatever, I came prepared for this, anyway."
Ryoma blinked in surprise. "Forgive me, did I offend you somehow-"
"Naw, don't worry about it. Lemme just get a bit of sake in my blood to loosen my lips a bit. Then we'll talk."
"A-alright..."
They arrived not too long after to the booth: it was indeed a stand-and-drink little place, with a few customers keeping to themselves at each corner of the counter.
Full of energy, Scarlet ordered the strongest soju they had, confident that she wouldn't be brought down to a hoshidan drink as opposed to the swill she was used to back home.
"Pwahh, this is some good stuff!" She slammed the cup on the counter, giggling. She could already feel her cheeks reddening from drinking only five cups. Maybe foreign sake was indeed strong even to her, after all.
Ryoma kept drinking modestly -- he was on his second cup -- and laughed by only looking at Scarlet. She was someone who could have fun with so little. If only he were able to be like that, then he wouldn't be so burdened.
"There you go again, making that sour face. Is my company that bad?" She poked on his forehead, in the middle of his furrowed brow.
Once again Ryoma blinked in surprise, downing his third cup immediately. "Pray, forgive me. I did not mean to worry you. This is just such a great breath of fresh air, I couldn't help but think of the things I still left unresolved."
Scarlet felt her heart thump, her hand reaching to her bag. "Yeah, about that stuff with your siblings, right? And... with you, too, I guess."
The King hardened his chin, his hands stopping midway to pouring himself another cup. "So you do know."
"Well, yeah, that's kinda why I'm here too. Remember the thing I was gonna give you? Here." She shoved her hand inside the bag, taking out a tuft of flowers and slamming them over Ryoma's chest.
"Flowers?" He tilted his head to the side, placing the cup and bottle on the counter so as to examine his present.
Scarlet chewed on her lip, the flush on her face not only because of the drink. "Yeah. They're daffodils. They grow around these premises, or don't, I don't know."
"That's... not very informativ-"
"Whatever, where they came from isn't important. But seeing as you didn't react as I knew you wouldn't, I'm also gonna give you this." Once again she shoved something out of her bag into his chest, but this time, it was a book. "It's a book that contains the meanings of the flower language."
"Scarlet, I'm-"
"I'm not done, sheesh, lemme talk 'till the end, alright? I just need some time to," she breathed in and out, psyching herself. "Alright, I'm good."
"R-right..." He looked around, trying to check if someone was watching them, but even the barman made himself scarce the moment Scarlet started talking.
"You remember back when we first met? You gave me something because you said that it was rude to meet without giving presents or whatever? It was a flower."
"Indeed, I found it only natural to give a beautiful flower to someone so strong-willed and gracious as yourself."
Scarlet left her mouth open in shock, midway to finishing her sentence. She cleared her throat. "Yeah, anyway. The flower you gave me, do you remember which kind it was?"
Ryoma looked up in thought, holding both book and flowers carefully. "Hmm, they were orange blossoms, if I remember correctly."
"Good, then you know." She smiled, then smirked. "Alright, your homework for after you go back is look up the meaning of orange blossoms and daffodil, you hear?"
"Homework-"
"Yeah, for later! Now, we drink our sorrows away!" She poured another cup for herself and for him, "be sure to tell me your answer tomorrow, ya hear? I'll be waiting!" She winked, then downed another cup. "Pwah, this is really some good stuff!"
Utterly lost about the entire conversation, but not about to deny spending time with his friend Scarlet, Ryoma placed his presents in his pocket, inside the haori he wore, and followed suit.
For the first time in months -- or rather, for the first time since he had last met Scarlet -- Ryoma finally loosened himself and smiled, the meaning of the flowers a secret to be revealed only later that night...

The Hazard System: Part 1 - Up to the decision battle While I wait for some more questions, let's look at how the systems have developed during roughly the first half of Build. All major feature in the world of Build involve Hazard Levels, with the exception of Nanba Heavy Industries Guardians used by Touto, Hokuto, Seito, Faust and Foundation X. Nebula Gas first appeared on earth as a result of the Sky Walls tragedy caused by the Pandora Box, the gas seeps out of the ground around the walls. At the same moment as the Pandora Box activated, it's outer layer was shed, leaving 6 panels in 2 pairs, the green pair in Touto, the red pair in Hokuto and the blue pair in Seito (I may have blue and red wrong). Katsuragi Takumi and Faust discovered the ability to expose people to high concentrations of Nebula Gas, resulting in their transformation into Smash, monsters lacking any real self control. Smash, while possible to mass produce for military purposes, were considered only the first stage in Faust's development of military technology. They soon realised the existence of Hazard Levels, the resistance to Nebula Gas, and through experimentation, determined the majority of the population to have a Hazard Level between 1.0 and 2.0 which meant they would become a Smash. It was also discovered that by extracting the essence of defeated Smash (seems to only apply to non-Hazard Smash) a certain girl could be made to refine the essence to produce Full Bottles. They realised that there were 60 Full Bottles in 30 Organic/Inorganic Best Match pairs, each pair revealed by the Pandora Box Panel, and that 20 bottles would be discoverable in each of the three territories. They realised that if all 6 panels and the box were gathered, along with all 30 pairs placed on the appropriate panels, then a great power would be released from the box. It took over 3 years from the start of the project for all 20 Full Bottles from Touto to be completed. Within a couple of weeks of then, Hokuto and Seito had both had all of their Bottles completed as well, although it is unclear when they began working on them, as Faust had possession of at least one of Hokuto's pairs years before then. Katsuragi also determined that individuals of Hazard level 2.1 or higher, who were not changed into Smash when exposed to Nebula Gas, but were left with some enhanced abilities, could increase their Hazard Level further. The only method of this we have directly seen involved using a particular Full Bottle and building affinity with it whilst fighting, although presumably this cannot be the only method. Katsuragi was able to develop two systems for battle that became usable to individuals who had achieved a Hazard Level of 3.0 or greater. The first system, the Transteam system, was developed using Faust type Full Bottles, organic type Full Bottles that were not among the 60 Full Bottles. Specifically a Bat bottle and a Cobra bottle were created, to be used by Katsuragi's fellow leaders in Faust, Bat by Night Rogue and Cobra by Blood Stalk. The remaining components of the system were the Steam Blade, which among other things could be use to apply large amounts of Nebula Gas to people without using the lab, and the Transteam Gun, which could be joined with the Steam Blade to form a rifle. By loading their Faust Bottle into the Transteam Gun to activate a Mist Match, the transformation was activated into Night Rogue or Blood Stalk. The suits as standard possessed both voice changing technology as well as the ability to analyse entities and determine their present Hazard Level. They also possessed abilities derived specifically from their animal bases. The Transteam Guns, in both Gun and Rifle Mode, had some interaction with Full Bottles. The Faust type bottles could be used to initiate a specific finisher, but any normal Full Bottle could also be used for an attack enhanced by that Bottle's abilities. A major disadvantage of the Transteam system was that it couldn't be used to increase the Hazard Level of its users. The other system developed was the Build Driver. Using any pair of Organic/Inorganic Bottles, aside from the Faust Bottles would allow a transformation in Kamen Rider Build, with abilities based on the bottles used. If a Best Match was used, the Snap Ride Builder appeared before the form was applied, with special abilities resulting from the use of compatible bottles. While there are a total of 30 Best Matches and a total of 60 half bodies, it is unlikely we'll see all of them used outside of Ganbarizing. At some point about 2 years before the war broke out, Katsuragi was able to travel to another world and capture the essence of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, producing a unique Ex-Aid Full Bottle, as part of a plan to be able to prepare for a possible appearance in their world by the Bugsters. Two years later, this would be refined into the Legend Best Match pair of DoctorGamer, which could be used to transform into Ex-Aid. Several other Legend Best Matches exist in principle, most using only one new Bottle save for W, but both the Legend form and the half bodies will only be used in Ganbarizing. Moving on, after Katsuragi Takumi's murder the Build Driver wound up being used by Kiryu Sento, who was responsible for the purification of around a half of the Touto Full Bottles. He created few new weapons for the Build system, some just to have a weapon, others to create a weapon to make better use of the certain abilities. The Drill Crusher could be used as a sword or a gun, and could use and Full Bottle to enhance an attack. The Build Phone used the Lion Full Bottle to become a bike, and the Hawk Gatlinger, Yonkoma Ninpouto and Kaizoku Hassya were made to enhance HawkGatling, NinpouComic and KaizokuRessha. When Banjou Ryuga, a victim of Faust and believed murderer, started working with Sento and began to build affinity with the Dragon Full Bottle, Seto created the Cross-Z Dragon to assist him. The dragon could use Full Bottles to use their abilities to enhance it's attacks. When Banjou's Hazard Level increased to 3.0, Banjou was able to use the Dragon Full Bottle and the Cross-Z Dragon as an attachment to a Build Driver, transforming into a form using only one bottle, Kamen Rider Cross-Z, armed with the Beat Crosser, which could use special attacks via use of a Full Bottle. When energy from the Pandora Box happened to enter one of the Smash essence collection bottles, Sento was able to use the Rabbit Tank Best Match to add their essence to that bottle, transforming it into the Rabbit Tank Sparkling Bottle, which allowed for a powered up Build able to use any of the weapons built for it, and bringing Build to a Hazard Level of up to 3.9. An enhancement made to the Transteam System made by Mogami Kaisei and his counterpart, seemingly without the knowledge of Faust, resulted in the Nebula Steam Gun, an enhanced version of the Transteam Gun. Using inorganic Gears, it allowed them to transform into Kaiser and Kaiser Reverse, who could then combine into Bi-Kaiser. A major project Katsuragi had never completed for Faust, due to the potential for users to lose themselves, was the Sclash Driver, it's data was completed a short time before the war by Kiryu Sento, and then stolen by Faust for use in both Hokuto and Seito. Using it to extract essence from Full Bottles lead to the successful creation of two Sclash Jellies, the Robot Jelly in Hokuto and the Dragon Jelly in Touto. A seeming prerequisite of using a Sclash Driver was a Hazard Level of 4.0 or more. The Robot Jelly was used by Kamen Rider Grease, who had achieved a Hazard Level of 4.2, while the Dragon Jelly was used by Banjou to become Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge. Both were equipped with the Twin Breaker, which possessed two modes and they could form from Jelly at any time, and could use both Full Bottles and their own Jelly to enhance the weapon (the Full Bottle did not need to be the one representing them), Cross-Z Charge could also use the Cross-Z Dragon. In addition, both could use Full Bottles in the Sclash Driver in order to form Jelly into weaponry derived from those bottles. It may be that Cross-Z Charge can only use organic and Grease can only use inorganic, but this is unconfirmed. Faust also developed for Hokuto an enhanced version of the Smash, termed Hard Smash. These were Smash, of which there were only three confirmed examples, who were able to retain their sense of self, and were even able to return to their human form. The Full Bottles they used to take on Smash form resembled the Faust design. It would seem a Hazard Level of at least 3.0 was also required to become a Hard Smash. One of the last things Katsuragi had managed to develop before his death was the Hazard Trigger, which could be used both on Hard Smash and on the Build Driver. When used on the Hard Smash it enhanced them into Hazard Smash, likely with a Hazard Level greater than 4.0, but at the risk of a total defeat causing their body to break down. When used on the Build Driver, the Hazard Trigger carried a greater risk, enhancing the a Best Match to a Super Best Match, all of which shared the same black body. Only a short amount of use of the Hazard Trigger would cause a loss of control, and unlike the use of the Sclash Driver, it wasn't marked by personality drift, just cold destruction. The rampage could only be stopped by forced removal of the Trigger from the Driver. Sento it known to be working on a way to counteract the effects. The Super Best Match do not yet have a known Hazard Level, although it must be above 4.0. Faust has developed two things for Seito. First, by remaining the Nebula Steam Gun, they have produced 3 copies. Two are used along with gears to become the Hell Bros, similar in appearance to Kaiser and with a similar combination ability. Presumably their Hazard Level is above 4.0. The other is used as a weapon alongside a Steam Blade by Seito's Sclash Driver user, Kamen Rider Rogue, who instead of using the same Slach Jelly system, uses a unique Crocodile Crack Full Bottle, which has am effect resembling shattering to his design. In the second part I look at what's coming and what I think any of it means.

FE Fates Ghostly Gold DLC - Character Quotes Translation Part 2
Part 1 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6
Rinkah: So, you guys are ghosts, but you want money, huh? That’s weird. Are you going to hoard it? Or sell it? Or maybe… you’re going to eat it? I don’t know what your intentions are, but stop pillaging these ruins! I’m exhausted today, no thanks to you… I’ll stop you, even if I have to use force!
[サクラ]
す、すごいです、この場所…! とても神聖な空気に満ちています。▼ 神が君臨したという話も頷けますね… この遺跡は静かに眠らせておくべきです。▼ わ、私だって、この場所を守るために… 頑張ります!▼
Sakura: T-This place is amazing…! It’s filled with a holy aura. The story about it once being ruled by gods must be true… We should allow these ruins to sleep peacefully. I-I’ll do my best… to protect this place!
Hana: They’re here! Let’s fight! Unfortunately for you, I’ve never felt better! If you want to know why… it’s because though I may have stayed up all night, I have overcome my exhaustion! I say that, but... Winning against yourself is most difficult of all! Do you think that you would be able to resist hoarding money and fight your greed!?
Subaki: I stayed up all night, but I’m not tired at allllll… There’s no way I’ll lose to exhaustionnnnn… Absolutely impossible! There’s no way… ………… …! N-Now’s not the time for sleep! That’s… the one thought on my mind!!
Saizo: Hmph… Everyone, it’s embarrassing to be so sleepy, no matter how many times you’re assigned to night watch. One night won’t kill you. You could probably endure two or three assignments in a row… If you become a shinobi of my level, you’ll be able to withstand five! …Not that I’ve ever tried.
Orochi: Fu fu fu… Everyone, your faces looked so funny, half-blinded by the dawn. Those who woke up with a single loud noise, those who pinched themselves, those who stared into the distance, those who gave up and slept, those who woke up with their eyes rolled in the back of their heads… I can’t stop laughing at the thought! Sometimes, even night watch is great!
Hinoka: Don’t lose focus… Hinoka! What is sleepiness?! What is sleep!? I, a princess, can’t set a bad example for the castle guards on night watch! I don’t long to be in bed! I don’t want to lay down! Now let’s beat up these ghosts with gusto!
Azama: What a nuisance these treasure-loving ghosts are… There’s no need to possess something you won’t use.  I’ll be your opponent, the one who got a great night’s sleep behind everyone’s back! But if I look happy… then everyone will know I was sleeping.
[セツナ]
すごいすごーい… この子たち、お金いっぱい持ってる…▼ なんか一気に目が覚めた… 倒したら全部、私のもの…?▼ そうじゃなかったら… ちょっとやる気無くすかも…▼
Setsuna: Wow… these guys have so much money… That woke me up in an instant… If I defeat them all, will the money be mine…? If not… then I’ll probably lose all will to fight…
Hayato: Here I go! I eat guys like you for breakfast! …Huh? I’m full of energy, even though I was on night watch? About that, um, I… was sleeping until just a minute ago. This is really embarrassing, but they said it was okay for the children to sleep, so…
Oboro: So… you’ve come… I haven’t yawned at all… I must do my best… to protect the treasure… for that is our job today. Now that I think about it, earlier, I saw a piece of gold at the bottom of the spring. If I could just bring home one… no, I shouldn’t think that!
Hinata: Ahhhhhh, the morning breeze is so refreshing! There’s nothing like an early morning battle!! Around 2 or 3 AM, I thought I was going to die, and I was quieter than I ever have been in my entire life… But when the sun rose, I woke right up! I’m back to my good old self! You enemies couldn’t have come at a better time! Let’s get this battle started!
Takumi: They’re here… So, you’re the ones pillaging the ruins? I worked in shifts, and was asleep until now, so I’m feeling alright. I had this stupid dream where after we fought, I became really rich. …Even though that would never happen in reality! Let’s hurry up and fight while I’m not half asleep.
Kagero: You surprised me without warning… I cannot forgive your cruelty! …I say that, even though I, too, wish that I could have the treasure. If they collect such beautiful things, these guys know true beauty. In that case, I want to show them my paintings… If they faint, then this will be an easy fight.
Reina: Ah ha… I’ve finally found you! Let’s stop wasting time and fight! I was up all night. So, you’re the kind of beings that would pillage a ruin? Would you like me to show you the most spectacular way to die…?
Kaden: Hey guys! What’s that sparkly stuff you’ve got there? Is it like the money Corrin and everyone else use? It looks kinda pretty! I’m really interested in it! Oh… I just can’t resist! Let me have some!
Ryoma: We waited… and stayed up all night. But such a thing is easy for me. As a samurai, even if I do not eat or sleep, I am always in top form! The fact that you appeared before me means that you are out of luck… …Admit defeat.
Scarlet: Wow! This place is the best! I think it’s so romantic! The way it sparkles is so calming! I want to collect all the treasure up and take it home with me! But, if I really care about sparkly things… then I can’t steal this treasure like that.

My dearest friend, Princess Satsuki,
Miles told me that you were worried about me. But please, don’t be. I am eating and sleeping regularly, and my maids are kind to me. I pass the time by reading and by writing letters. I’ve decided to view this as a long vacation, a way to collect my thoughts for a while, and it’s helped considerably.
Unless some miracle happens(ugh), I cannot wait to see you at my wedding. Please take good care of my little brother for me, heaven knows he needs it. And, should he come around being his usual self, please tell Takumi that he is a noisy lout and offer him a breath mint.
Yours until the paper clips,
HRH Princess Maria of Makellos
There’s a blank sheet of paper attached to the letter. If Satsuki held it up to a flame, she would see that it’s a separate letter, written in lemon juice.
P.S.: Satsuki. I must tell you.
There is a man staying with me!! I didn’t plan it I swear, he was injured so he’s staying here until someone comes to get him, or he can ride off himself, whichever one.
I know that the gods are real now. Only angels could have sculpted that magnificent body. His voice is the deepest, richest most delectable sound that I’ve ever heard. He is as tall as an oak and twice as solid. Frankly, Satsuki, I would drink his bathwater. He looks like he sweats rose petals. Every time we speak I find myself resisting the urge to throw myself on him. It’s a bit scary, but I welcome it. It’s about time something interesting happened in this dreadful place. I just pray his home country doesn’t think that I kidnapped him or something. I hear they’re awfully war-hungry.
I wrote this in invisible ink because if anyone saw this, it would land both him and I in trouble, I think. You see, I’m not supposed to have guests without Father knowing. I trust you’ll keep this a secret, my sister.
Thirstily yours,
Maria~!

Could you write a fic about Kana (whose mom is Azura) marrying Kiragi (whose mom is Oboro) in secret since their dads hate each other? Thanks in advance!
I had some fun writing this one, and I ended up getting a bit more than I expected out of it. Hope you like it!
Words: 2560
“A ring?” Kana gasped.
“Yeah, it’s not as nice as the one your father gave you, but I made it just for you,” Kiragi said sheepishly.
“Nonsense Kiragi!” Kana took the ring in her hand, it was carved wood patterned with swirls that looked like the wind mingling with what looked like her dragon horn, “it’s lovely, and coming from you it means so much, as long as it means what I think?”
“Geez Kana, do you doubt me that much?” Kiragi winced, “I know our fathers don’t get along, but I was hoping…”
Kana shook her head and grabbed Kiragi around the neck, pulling his face down and kissing his cheek, “I accept, and I’m sure my papa won’t care as long as I’m happy,”
“Are you sure,” Kiragi sighed, “Whenever your father comes into conversation, mine get’s this look on his face,”
“Well, we could always tell them afterward, then they can’t say no!” Kana grinned grabbing Kiragi’s hands in hers. Kiragi smiled, nodding his head as they settled down to have the lunch he had brought in their little secret clearing outside of the castle.
“You sure you shouldn’t ask her dad first?” Shiro shrugged, replacing another weapon on a rack, “You know, like, for her hand, that traditional stuff my dad’s always going on about,”
“I’m pretty sure you’re just saying that because Selkie’s dad isn’t as intimidating as the leader of our entire army,” Kiragi goaded.
“You never know man, he can’t be that bad,” Shiro told him with a sideways look.
“How can that be true when my dad can’t stand to be in the same room?” Kiragi’s shoulders sagged.
Shiro turned and clapped a hand on his shoulder, “Seriously? I think that just has to do with your dad’s personal feelings and less to do with Corrin’s actual personality,”
“You could be right…” Kiragi muttered.
“But Caeldori, I really don’t want to,” Kana groaned, “He’s scary,”
“Uncle Takumi? Scary?” the older girl snorted, “Maybe to the enemies, but he’s actually a really quiet person. You should just go say hello, see for yourself. I think if your mothers can get along, there has to be some measure of support for you two,”
“That’s only because my mother lived in the Hoshidan castle for so long, and I don’t think your uncle likes my mother any more than he likes my father,” Kana pointed out.
“You’re over thinking it!” Caeldori jumped up, “Come on, let’s go together and see,”
“No no no no,” Kana dug her heels in resisting the other’s pull, “Let’s not. Maybe I’ll try talking to his mother first, test the waters,”
“Whatever you want,” Caeldori shook her head, “I have a training session with my parents anyway, We’re practicing flying drills today,”
“I’ve never been so nervous to climb a tree, and this one has stairs,” Kiragi muttered to himself.
“Kiragi!” came his mother’s call, “Where have you been? it’s time for your studies,”
“But mom!” Kiragi tried to point to the treehouse behind him.
“No buts, you promised me,” Oboro gave him a look, “Unless Lord Corrin has specifically asked for you, then you have no excuse,”
“I have something to ask him though,” Kiragi insisted.
“Like you forgot to clean your bow every time I pull out the math book?” Oboro laughed, “Come on now, don’t make it harder than it has to be,”
“Mama, can I talk to you?” Kana approached her mother who had been sitting by the amber pool humming.
“Of course Kana, you know I will listen to you whenever you need me,” Azura patted the space beside her.
What would you say to me if I told you one of the boys loves me?” Kana asked simply.
“I would say, as long as you love him too, then that’s all that matters,” Azura smiled, “But if it were just any boy, I don’t think you would be so roundabout in telling me,”
“I’m afraid you won’t approve Mama,” Kana admitted, “I’m more afraid that Papa won’t either,”
“Now why would you need to be afraid?” Azura asked patiently.
“Because his father doesn’t like either of you,” Kana pulled her knees to her chest, “And I don’t think Papa likes him much either,”
“I cannot think of who that could be, so why don’t you tell me who, and I can tell you whether or not that’s true,” Azura posed.
Kana looked up at her mama and paused, contemplating her response before pulling out the ring, “Lord Takumi is who I mean. His son, Kiragi gave me this ring,”
“That’s a lovely ring Kana,” Azura smiled brightly, “Takumi can be a bit hard-edged sometimes, and he does not feel as close to your father and I as he does to the siblings he grew up with, but he respects your father, otherwise he would have never stayed with us,”
“I heard he stayed because Lady Sakura asked him to,” Kana leaned into Azura, who put an arm around her, “And I heard him and Papa argue a lot,”
“Have you ever seen them argue?” Azura asked.
Kana thought about it, “I haven’t,”
“Would you like to go tell your father?” Azura asked her.
“Not yet, I think I want to go find Kiragi first and talk to him,” Kana gave her mama a hug before standing to leave, “Thank you, mama, I love you,”
“I love you too dear,” Azura said with a wave before returning to her humming.
“Was that so hard?” Oboro asked after Kiragi finished a few of the problems she had laid out.
“No mom,” Kiragi sighed, “Not compared to this other thing,”
“What other thing is that?” Oboro tilted her head in question.
“Ack, I mean nothing, I’m gonna go now,” Kiragi jumped up and turned away.
“You’ve got me curious, but I supposed if you don’t want to tell me that’s fine,” Oboro shrugged, “But if you’re in trouble, I ask that you tell me so I can help you, or tell your father,”
“I can’t tell dad,” Kiragi said a bit too quickly, “I mean, I can, but I don’t know if he would like it,”
Oboro grinned, “I hardly think anything you could do would ever tarnish his opinion of you. Your Father loves you Kiragi, more than you can imagine,”
“I know that,” Kiragi turned back, “I know he loves us, and he loves his family, but that’s it,”
“Putting it like that makes me more curious,” Oboro waved him back to the table. Kiragi hesitated before sitting back down again.
“He doesn’t like Lord Corrin,” Kiragi said bluntly.
Oboro looked surprised, “Where did you get that idea?”
“He hardly ever talks to him, or Lady Azura,” Kiragi told her, “From what I’ve heard, he doesn’t trust them cause they’re from Nohr,”
“Lady Azura has lived with the Hoshidan Royal family for most of her life, and Takumi never really took the time to get to know her, but when Lord Corrin came back and the war started, many things went badly, and he took out his frustrations on the both of them.” Oboro explained, “He has since learned better, and respects Lord Corrin as a commander. Why are you so concerned about their relationship?”
“Uh, that is…” Kiragi stammered, “I suppose I can tell you. I love Kana,”
“That’s wonderful Kiragi,” Oboro brightened, “I don’t see why your father would disapprove,”
A knock came at the door, “Hello?”
Oboro stood to answer it, and revealed Kana on the other side, looking a bit startled, “Hello Kana, Kiragi was just telling me-”
“Come on Kana,” Kiragi jumped up and grabbed Kana by the hand, running out the door saying quickly, “thanksforthetalkmom, gottagonowbye,”
“Kiragi! Why did we have to run?” Kana panted as they stopped.
“Let’s just do it,” Kiragi said to her, “Let’s just go get married and then tell our fathers like you said,”
“Wait what?” Kana gasped, “I was only joking, besides I talked to my mom and it might not go as bad as we think,”
“I did too, but I can’t help but be afraid that they might not see it like we do,” Kiragi looked downcast, “I just want to be with you, and I don’t want anything to get in the way of that,”
Kana pulled him into a hug, “Okay if it means I can get my cheery Kiragi back instead of this gloomy Kiragi, I’ll do it,”
“Let’s ask Lilith to transport us to a town so we can find a priestess to help us,” Kiragi pulled her more gently as they set off to fulfill their plan.
“Where is Kiragi? It’s not like him to miss dinner,” Takumi asked Oboro as she set out the food she had made.
“He might be out with Kana still,” Oboro said nonchalantly, “They’ve been spending a lot of time together lately,”
“I’m happy he get’s along with the other children so well, I was worried he’d inherit being a loner from me,” Takumi sighed.
“Yes, it is very good,” Oboro nodded, “What do you think of Kana?”
“Oh, she’s a good kid, though I’d be a bit worried about her dragon form, with her being so young, I hope Corrin has been teaching her to control it properly,” Takumi shrugged.
“I thought Kana was going to be home, I made her favorite meal,” Corrin muttered as he set the food out for himself and Azura.
“Perhaps she and Kiragi got caught up,” Azura mentioned.
“Takumi’s son?” Corrin perked his ears, “Huh, did he take her on a hunting trip today? I hope they bring back some more boar, it made a great stew last time,”
“Yes he is a talented young man,” Azura nodded, “Kana seems to like him quite a bit,”
“Does she?” Corrin contemplated his wife’s statement, “I wonder why she hasn’t mentioned it to me, she normally tells me everything,
“Aren’t you two a little young?” the priestess said skeptically.
“We may never get another chance, what with the war,” Kana sighed, putting a bit more sadness in her voice, fluttering her eyes to make it look as if she was holding back tears.
“I suppose, you both are wearing armor,” the priestess looked them over, “I suppose I can’t really deny you if you are sure,”
“Thank you, ma'am, we have a bit of money for your chapel as thanks,” Kiragi passed a bag of gold coins to her, which she gasped at.
She peered into the bag and blinked, “this is more than enough,” then nodded, “Come with me, it won’t be anything fancy, but it will be official,”
Returning to the castle in the astral plane, Kana and Kiragi came face to face with Azura and Oboro. Before they could speak Azura gently held up a hand, effectively silencing them.
“Come with us,” Azura nodded to them.
“We’ve been worried about you both, as have your fathers,” Oboro told them as they walked towards the big tree house.
“Sorry mama,” Kana sighed.
“Mom, why are we going to the tree house, shouldn’t we be headed home?” Kiragi asked.
“You’ll see,” Oboro said simply.
They climbed up to the front door and opened it revealing their father’s speaking in a hushed tone.
“Kiragi, you’re alright, I was worried something had happened,” Takumi was the first to speak, his eyes glancing over his son, looking for any sign of injury, but they stopped when they reached his hand which was clasped with Kana’s.
It was Corrin who spoke next, but his tone was warm, “Kana, do you have something to tell us?”
She gripped Kiragi’s hand harder, then tentatively held up her other hand, which had been hiding clutched in her clothes, “Me and Kiragi are married,”
“What!?” Takumi jumped up exclaiming.
“Calm yourself,” Corrin said gently, laying a hand on the archer’s shoulder, “I doubt that is the reaction they were looking for,”
“Married though, when did that happen?” Takumi lowered his voice.
He looked more concerned than angry, leading Kiragi to speak up, “Just an hour ago,” he admitted, “We didn’t know if you would approve, and so we thought you couldn’t say no if it had already happened,”
“Did you really think we would say no?” Corrin asked crossing his arms.
“I’m sorry Papa, we thought you two not getting along would mean you wouldn’t want us to be together,” Kana explained quietly.
The two men looked at each other for a moment before looking back to their children and then laughed together. Their children gaped in shock at the sight.
“I might have distrusted Corrin at one point, but what gave you the idea that that would ever carry towards Kana?” Takumi asked Kiragi finally.
“I don’t know, I was worried because you never seem to talk to him or Lady Azura,” Kiragi told him.
“We are at war, there isn’t a lot of time to talk between preparing for battle and the battles themselves, I try to split that time between all of my soldiers,” Corrin explained, “But the other royals, Takumi included, I generally get to speak to at strategy meetings, so I feel less need to spend time with them personally,”
“I like to keep to myself,” Takumi shrugged, “As does Lady Azura, so naturally we don’t tend to seek out each others company unless we so happen to be in the same place at the same time,”
Azura nodded, “You see dear, nothing to worry about,” She smiled to Kana.
“I think the only real objection I have is that you both are much too young to be married,” Corrin pointed out, before shaking his head, “But it seems I am too late for that. You both will continue living under our roofs for now, but that being said, that doesn’t mean you have to both be under separate roofs,”
“As if Kiragi really needs a better excuse to spend time in a tree,” Takumi chuckled, “My home is open to you both whenever you please,”
“When this is over, you are getting a proper wedding, with proper clothes,” Oboro chimed in.
“And a proper ceremony,” Azura nodded.
“Will you sing for it, mama?” Kana chirped.
“Of course I will,” Azura smiled.
“For now though, it might be best if you both kept it to yourselves,” Corrin said seriously, “I’m not saying you can’t be together out in the open, just perhaps keep your marriage quiet for now,”
“I have to agree,” Takumi nodded, “But as long as you are happy, I don’t see a problem with it,”
The children looked at each other and grinned, keeping close to one another as they’re parents talked around them for a little longer. Both felt comfort in knowing things had turned out much better than their fears had suggested.

((I’m screamin’ thanks for sending these in I love doing then so much))
Supportive: Who did you S-Rank and why?
This is a loaded question ok there are a lot of men.
My very first S-support was Chrom because I saw him, though he was p hot and then he was nice and chill so I hit it lol. Don’t regret it either he’s a cute nerd. Later on I married Henry because he’s probably my fave first gen from Awakening and he’s adorable. And last I married Owain because he’s adorable and deserves the world I love him so much you don’t understand. I still gotta get that Stahl and Ricken at least though.
In Conquest I married Keaton first because he’s just so??? CUTE??? I couldn’t resist. In Birthright I married Takumi once and I’ll do it again I cannot resist him I want to protect him from the world hide him in my bosom. In Revelations I married Silas because I’d been meaning to from the beginning he’s really sweet. I also married Odin (twice I’m whipped for those pixels ok help) and Niles, and intend to marry Cup Ramen and Tomato Bowl Cut as well as maybe Hinata.
Vow of Friendship: Do you reset when you lose units in battle?

The Stars of Cheve
A little something I wrote to try to break my seemingly unbreakable writer’s block; dedicated to @julystorms.
The improbability of Scarlet is something Ryoma thinks of often. She’d appeared, quite literally out of the sky, when his need was the greatest. She’d seen his wounds, seen straight through his pride and insistence that he was fine, and refused to let him be. She’d fought him down until he could be healed, holding his hand as he shrieked, the skin knitting back together in ways he’d never experienced. (Nohrian magic, he’d learned was far different from Hoshidan, down to the way they healed. It hadn’t left a scar, but it had hurt.)
Without Scarlet, Ryoma would have died. He knows this.
He owes her his life, and it bothers him to no end that she refuses to take it.
“Nope,” she says, for what feels like the millionth time. She runs a hand over her wyvern’s head, and it nuzzles her palm. Ryoma’s not afraid of it—really, he isn’t—but the beast is new to him. He’s only fought wyverns and their riders; this is the first he’s made an ally of either.
“Please,” Ryoma says, bowing his head in supplication, “allow me to assist you.”
Scarlet shakes her head. The blue piece of fabric that she wears around her head twirls back and forth as she does so, drawing Ryoma’s gaze.
“You’re still recovering,” Scarlet insists. She jostles the saddle on her wyvern, checking one of the side panels.
“I’m fine,” Ryoma shoot back.
Scarlet makes a sound—a cross between a snort and a laugh. He’s struck, not for the first time, by the urge to tell her who he is. She wouldn’t snort at a prince, he’s sure—at least not a foreign one. Her distaste for the Nohrian royal family runs almost as deep as his own. No doubt she’d do much worse than laugh should she come into contact with them.
“When you can stand without your knees shaking, we’ll talk about it,” Scarlet says. Ryoma pointedly does not look down, though he knows what she says is true. It’s agony merely to stand. “Take care, hold down the fort, and keep your head down. You’re a memorable guy.”
With that, Scarlet is gone, off on a reconnaissance mission with several other knights of her order. Resistance fighters, that’s what Scarlet had told him. They intend to free Cheve from Nohrian rule.
From what little he’s seen of Scarlet, Ryoma has no doubt that she’ll succeed.
In the days Scarlet his gone, he learns of her from the knights left behind. She’s the de facto leader, has been for a while. Her red armor is a symbol, both of luck and victory. She picks flowers to give to her soldiers for good luck, and never shies away from the front lines. She’s not a morning person, but she stays up well into the night, gazing at the stars.
The knights tell Ryoma about the stars—about the old Chevois beliefs regarding the afterlife. It’s explained to him in hushed tones, with the understanding that this is something important, something sacred. They know, by that point, that Ryoma is a foreigner, but they also know him as a friend. He breaks bread with them, helps them prepare meals and scout for signs of Nohr’s forces, and so they tell him, and Ryoma listens.
By the time Scarlet returns, a bright smile on her face, Ryoma feels he understands her more. This time, when he offers his blade, she accepts, with one exception.
“You’re not allowed to die out there, you hear me?” she asks.
Ryoma smiles softly. “I’m prepared in any event,” he replies.
She shakes her head, that blue strip flopping back and forth, back and forth, like some sort of pendulum.
“Don’t,” she warns as she gestures to her knights. “All of us have made each other a promise, to do our best to see a new Cheve. You… This isn’t your fight. Don’t die for us.”
Ryoma understands and doesn’t. He bows his head and says, “Very well. But I shall fight my hardest.”
Scarlet grins. “That’s what I like to hear!”
Scarlet’s vivacious, talkative, and hypnotic, both on the battlefield and off. Ryoma finds himself in skirmishes with her; as one of the few ground troops at her disposal, she seems to take it upon herself to watch the skies for him.
She’s a force to be reckoned with, all told. She and her wyvern work together as if they were one organism. The beast dips down, nearly dropping out of the sky at times, and Scarlet doesn’t so much as lift off of it. She gives orders, and it obeys. It notes threats and alerts her. After a while, Ryoma can interpret certain cues that the wyvern gives off—different growls for archer and mage, for example. Scarlet fights like her life depends on it, and Ryoma can’t help but do the same.
She watches him, too. Ryoma learns this one night as he’s cleaning a blade, checking the edge. It needs some sharpening, and it appears to bend slightly to one side, but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed.
“You always use that sword,” she says, watching him over a mug of something steaming and hot. She offers him one as well, and Ryoma sets the blade aside to accept it. “It’s the one I gave you, isn’t it?”
“It is,” Ryoma replies. “It’s a good blade.”
Scarlet frowns. “What of that one?”
Ryoma tenses, eyes flickering to where Raijinto rests on his hip. “This one?” he asks, fingering the hilt. Scarlet nods, and Ryoma says, “It is…ceremonial.”
Scarlet arches both of her eyebrows. “Ceremonial?” she asks.
Ryoma flushes at the question. “It’s…” He doesn’t know how to answer. He’s afraid, now—afraid as he hasn’t ever truly been. If he unsheathes it, and she sees the unearthly glow of that sacred sword, will she know who he is? Will she care? He—likes this, their relationship as it stands. She’s kind to him, but not overly deferential. No one’s treated him like this, as if he were an equal, since he can’t remember when. He doesn’t want to lose that, not now.
“May I?” Scarlet asks, extending a hand.
Ryoma hesitates, but he cannot deny her. He unties the blade from his side and hands it to her, palms up as he proffers the sword.
Scarlet takes it gingerly, holding the scabbard in both hands. She looks up at him once, and Ryoma nods. Carefully, she removes the blade from its sheath. Her face goes blue in the ethereal light, and Ryoma can see how her eyes widen.
“Oh,” she says softly. She follows the edge with her eyes, and Ryoma can see the crackle of liquid lightning.
Slowly, Scarlet slides the black back into the scabbard. The light disappears, and Ryoma’s eyes take a moment to adjust to the change. Scarlet hands Raijinto back to him, and Ryoma takes it without a word.
“You’re no plain wanderer, are you?” Scarlet asks. It’s not really a question.
“No,” Ryoma answers. He takes a sip of what Scarlet brought for him; it’s rich and sweet and bitter all at once, and Ryoma inhales deeply. It’s divine in a way Raijinto isn’t, in a way Scarlet is.
“Will you leave?” she asks. “After this, I mean. Whenever you feel you’ve paid off your debt.”
Ryoma nods once. “I must,” he says. “My family is probably searching for me even now.”
Scarlet frowns, the dark turning the gesture into something heavier than it probably is.
“You have a wife?” she asks.
“No,” Ryoma responds. “I have many siblings.”
“Would you tell me about them?” she asks. “I don’t have any.”
So Ryoma tells her about his sisters: bold, headstrong Hinoka, shy, empathetic Sakura, and wise, melancholic Azura, and about his brother, stubborn and proud Takumi. He does not mention Corrin, for Ryoma finds he does not know the last of his relatives nearly as well as he thought, or wished. Time has passed them both by.
Scarlet does not ask about his parents. She, in turn, has said nothing about hers. There are some things you can’t talk about, no matter how close or far away they are.
“They sound wonderful,” Scarlet says. They’ve both finished their drinks, and they lay staring at the stars. They drift ever so slowly overhead, marking the passage of time much as the sun does during the day. “I’d like to meet them someday.”
“They’d like you,” Ryoma says. He knows it to be true from the moment he says it. Takumi takes a while to warm to anyone, but once he did, he’d have a ball with Scarlet. She and Hinoka have much in common, and he’s sure that Scarlet would be kind to Sakura until she felt comfortable enough to relax. Azura would be harder; Ryoma admits even to himself that she’s not particularly warm with him, though given the circumstances it’s perfectly understandable, much as he wishes it were different.
“I like them already,” Scarlet says. “Plus, if they’re related to you, they’ve got to be good.”
Ryoma laughs, his blood singing. He’s never heard praise so sweet, or wanted to keep those words to himself so much.
