Welcome to our Dwarf Fortress Beginners Guide. Here is a short guide that includes some of DF's broader or easily overlooked functions that are most helpful to beginners like us. #DwarfFortress

Dwarf Fortress Beginners Guide

The focus of this guide is to help remove the obscurity from from the game and menus for people just starting out so you can focus on actually playing instead of scouring menus trying to work out how to change one thing. Basics - If you need to erase a dig order, right click to exit that menu first, then {x} to use the eraser. Right click and {m}ine again to continue. - You can click the yellow arrow in the mining toolbar to access blueprints and other options. - You can extend a store pile or a zone at any time by selecting it and using the paintbrush tool. - To mark livestock for slaughter; creat{u}res > pets/livestock tab > cleaver. You can castrate animals here too. Maybe you have too many cats... but meat's meat. - By default creatures marked here will be slaughtered and butchered automatically (make sure you have the butcher and other workshops found under farming) but this behaviour could be changed in the labour {y} menu. - Smoothing will increase the value of a room. Use the square icon or {v}. Be sure to mark the floors and surrounding walls of your room for smoothing. You can further improve your smoothed room with engravings, clicking on a completed engraving will tell you what it is - and a high quality design may depict some world history. - By clicking on various stone you can see its uses, including what ore it can be smelted into. - To view the legends codex for your world save and 'Retire the fortress (for the time being)'. On the title screen 'start new game in active world' and select legends mode. When you return to the title screen you can resume your game without issue. Best Practice - Avoid 'All' storage piles. Customise them to exclude all refuse (except shells) and corpses. Food should also go in its own pile closer to your kitchens and so on. - Make a store on the surface for refuse and corpses as rotting items with exude miasma. - {Z}one a meeting area so your dwarves have somewhere indoors to chill. - Zone an office (minimum; a room with a door and a chair) for your Manager and Bookkeeper. These are essential positions within your fortress. Assign these jobs in the {N}obles menu. Assign a dwarf to an office by selecting the zone and +dwarf. - Similarly, you create hospitals, taverns and temples by selecting a zone and +shield. - Build and zone a dorm near your tavern and +shield assign it to the tavern, giving guests and bards a place to stay. - Some items take on a different name when made with different materials. There are 'wooden chairs' and 'rock thrones', 'wooden chests' and 'stone coffers', they function the same. Be careful crafting too many items with wood as it will impact your relationship with elves and they will refuse to trade with you, or worse... - In the labor menu, disable cooking for plump helmets. Cooking plants does not return seeds like brewing does and allowing cooking runs you the risk of running out of seeds. Dwarf Fortress Beginners Troubles I've completed a trade but everything is still one the depo! Items will be locked in the depo until the trading caravan has left. After that they should be hauled into your storage, but if there are a lot of items it will likely take a long time. Make sure you have plenty of space in your storerooms for the new items. Merchants do appear to be bugged rn and won't always leave properly after their trade has completed, this might be impact your ability to unpack the depo. Destroying the trade depo may force these npcs to move on but make sure there's no ongoing trade! There are bolts all over the place with a locked icon? In stocks > ammunition you can toggle off the forbidden tag for all and the bolts will be collected into storage. When I try and nickname a dwarf it replaces their name. In global settings you can change the nickname style to centralise if you prefer First 'nickname' Last. Read the full article

CW: (Vague offhand references to) fictional gore, war, mass shootings, PTSD/BPD trauma

So this is going to be a bit of a weird mix of a vent and a general thing with my writing, but...

Man, sometimes I feel really insecure about how dark and nasty my shite can get. And I feel like I shouldn't, on one hand, because I know that A) there's more to it than just gore and disturbing topics, and B) I have a unique writing style, and C) that this whole writing thing started out as an outlet for my trauma, my BPD, my PTSD and all that and just kind of became something bigger.

But it hurts sometimes. I had a close friend read through a bit from Miasma, which I'm writing as a protest against war - like my Johnny Got His Gun or something. The horrible situation in Ukraine got those gears turning. And so, of all my works, I admit it's got the most shock value - lot of horrible stuff onscreen, but that's war for you, and that's what I needed to capture it, and it would be cheap and pointless if I didn't make people confront that shit.

But of course that nuance all gets lost on some people, and this friend basically referred to it as "torture porn" after a particularly gory scene, and I know it shouldn't bother me and normally it might not but it does at this point bc it's something I've already been grappling with. I'm trying to get an agent for my first book rn (Karma Killer), which isn't as brutal but is still quite brutal - it's about the abundance of mass shootings (especially school shootings) in America, after all - and it's been going rough.

I've had this feeling the whole time that no matter how good the writing is, no matter how visceral or emotional or affecting it is, that it's getting turned away for being so dark and so fucked up. It kind of ties into my BPD, in a way - this knowledge that I wish I could sit next to someone living their normal life and have a normal conversation, but how I inevitably ruin them all with warped jokes or make references to violent events just because I've seen some messed up shit for years and I cannot just go back and change it at this point.

So I've been hunting for an agent for a month or so now, and it's been driving me mad, because most of them want fluffy romance, most of them want lighthearted fantasy or whatever the fuck, and I'm not against that on principle, but seeing that and all the lighthearted, wholesome stuff that most writers seem to write around me feels almost stifling in a way. It's the whole thing of sitting in a room and being surrounded by people with their normal lives who make normal jokes and have normal emotions and can have normal relationships that don't burn out and explode.

It hurts, I guess, on some level?? Even if there isn't really anything like what I write, even if I don't really consciously want to Conform, there's that inherent BPD desire to fit into a nice little slot and feel wanted and appreciated, and it's hard when people look at something close to my torn-up heart, something that is an honest expression of the hell I go through on the daily, and just drop it down with such reductive labels as "torture porn". Fuck, you don't have to like it, but there's a point - there's a point, and I wish I could be normal and do Normal Things and have a Normal Life, but I can't, and just like I can't do that, I can't honestly seem to write something that is wholesome or happy or fluffy. It'd be disingenuous, and I don't think I'd do a good job.

And yet, it's still so frustrating.

I think I've said it before on this blog, but I can't write happy endings. I'm really not any good at it, and I hate doing them. They feel so unrealistic and unattainable to me, and I guess that's a weird poetic way to sum up the mixed feelings I've got right now.

diving back into the lazytown fandom suddenly 'reopen' that idea file stored in my mind:

like what if the crystal suddenly sucked some kind of dark energy (maybe robbie accidentally triggered smthing without realizing it) and it makes sportacus evil (not the poldark kind of evil- but more on suit genius evil yk what i mean) because i headcanon the crystal as his soul- or so more of the like his core (evil sportacus threatens to 'eats' the whole town smthing like that idk)

even robbie (the villain no 1 himself) is surprised (he didnt even realize how much in love he is for sportacus before so the fact rn he could literally lose him, well make him realize now) everyone evacuated into robbie bunkers (cuz it seems the safest place to be) and the kids really want to save sportacus (and so is robbie)

so robbie 'recruits' the kids to save sportacus (he invents some stuff that suits each kid's personality: kind of like superpower but with a bit of fae magic cheat lol) with the permission from the mayor, as the representive of the kids guardian ofc [ kind of want to include a scene where when they successfully retracts sportacus from the evil miasma, they both fall (robbie tried to wake sportacus up but when he didnt and they almost hit the ground he activates some kind of wing invention to fly) ]

somehow they have to save sportacus crystal too yk, because thats his actual soul so robbie has to fly back up to the airship (the villain tries to awaken the goodness in it (aka robbie confess literally everything and maybe they kiss? oop) in the end he successfully retrieved the crystal after the dark mist goes away (everyone thanked robbie including sportacus for saving the hero) robbie just blushing, giving his usual excuse of "whats a villain without the hero?" [ extra scene where everyone had left, leaving robbie and sportacus (they all know these two idiots are just madly in luv but too oblivious to know) sportacus admit he actually heard the confession (thru his soul) so he asks robbie does he truly mean it or he just says it to save him- robbie just admits blantly and guess whos too fcking happy to hear the cheesy sentence from the villain? idk maybe ill write this or not (i havent write fics in ages because ive been busy with uni) so if someone do wanna write this, do dm me-

The New War part 4

Jaune Arc's All Out Attack

Just outside of Shinrah district.

Jaune and Ren had to start traveling by rooftops because of the miasma that is covering most of the streets due to this though Jaune is getting exhausted from all the Aura Jumping. It wouldn't be a problem if he wasn't caring Ren doing so.

Jaune: Talking about me and junk food but your heavy asf.

Ren: Jaune! I don't want to here anything about you being tired from carrying me across rooftops.

Ren: You not only suggested this method, but aren't you the one that caught a speeding car with your body.

Ren: That Torchwick guy escaped but you did something unbelievable.

Jaune: I was in the hospital for a week for three cracked ribs. Not to mention it knocked me unconscious.

Ren: Even more of a reason for you to not be bitching rn.

Jaune: I think I like this Ren get used to me.

The two took cover at the top of they're current building then observed the captured cop and EMS workers. They could hear a man who was obviously a squad leader sporting heavy armor and two large saw swords.

Atlas Elite Oppressor: It's honorable seeing so many of you fighting to protect your kingdom. How come there are no soldier's only law enforcement?

Atlas Elite: I'll tell you why, it's because Ozpin didn't think they where worth sending into the city. That they needed to protect the academy.

Atlas Elite: So in other words your all expendable.

Police officer: Shut your mouth you fucking Terrorist.

Atlas Elite: Terrorist!? Lol where Atlas solider's.

Alvin Marcus: Listen son in all my years alive Atlas would never do something like this. My name is police chief Alvin Marcus.

Alvin: Ironwood would never order an attack against his home kingdom.

Atlas Elite: Well you know what Alvin thank you for having the balls to speak up... Now... Die for it.

And with a lift and a swing the man's head was taken off.

Jaune was finally at his boiling point as he was about to make a split second decision till he felt Rena hand grab his own. Jaune turned and looked Ren in the eyes who had a face seriousness. There was a mutual understanding between the two but Jaune knew if someone else died then he would step in. They both continue to watch on.

Atlas Elite: Well then... He's dead... So who's next?

Atlas Elite: Let's see they're are 40 of you we'll start executing you guys in groups of 10.

Atlas Elite: Okay men begin. Try not to have to much fun.

It was just like that the men and women where gonna be shot and killed. Police officer's and EMS workers who most had families. Jaune couldn't take it anymore so he jumped into action.

Ren: JAUNE!

Jaune: Bastards landed and swung his blade at one of the soldiers and as like nothing the man flew back with a huge slash in his chest and his eyes lifeless. Jaune didn't take it into consideration but the man he just killed didn't have an aura. Which means that most of these guys will go down easily.

(Jaune's mind)

"Ricky: Do what you have to Jaune, to protect the people around you and care about."

The Atlas Elite was surprised to see the young man cut down one of his men so easily. It turned out that's all it took for the police officer's to fight back as now a big battle of attrition had began. So the Elite did the only thing he thought was right and that was to take out this young man. He could already tell that his target was a killer at heart. That Mistress would love for someone like this to join her ranks. No hesitation just calculated swings and focused blocking. He is block bullets and using his aura to defend himself from and oppressor troopers. Now there's a green one huh interesting

Jaune had just took what felt like a hit from Cardin's mace to the side of the head but it was just a shotgun buckshot. He then stuck his blade into the guys knee rotating his wrist and and realizing something this felt odd killing these guys so easily. Whatever he needs to do he'll do it to protect these people. All of a sudden Jaune's senses struck him both physically and mentally as he was then sent five feet and bouncing off the side of a car.

Ren: JAUNE!

Jaune could hear Ren yelling out to him. He was fine he was able to lift his shield up to take the wide and aggressive swing he had very little time to react as he used his sword to slide and redirect a blade that was slashed vertically at him. Jaune then spun out of it and backhanded the attacker with his shield. The difference was that this tall bulky guy with duel wielding saw blades that are atleast half of Jaune's size. Jaune was at 6'3 so these swords where ridiculously big. Obviously this guy over compensating. Shit why did the commander have to be a tall and bulky hulk of a man, why couldn't he just of been cute like Ren.

Then it was a saving grace as A helicopter with Vale soldiers showed up and began to fire upon the enemy this made the guy end his attacks on Jaune and begin to fall back but Jaune wasn't having it as he chased him leaving Ren behind.

Jaune: Oh No You Don't Ass Hole Get Back Here!

One of the retreating soldiers was about to fire on Jaune till Ren pulled the trigger on one of his pistols and blew the guys brains out. Ren was not as shocked as he should of been. He wasn't about to let Jaune get killed so he chased after him as Vale military forces moved in.

Jaune had cornered the man. Then aimed his sword at the man.

Jaune: You'll pay for what you've done. Killing all of those innocent people.

Atlas Elite: Laughing... You got fight in ya kid.

The two stood there reading to see who would swing first. But neither one had to wait as the man rushed at Jaune only for Jaune to smirk as his chest glowed bright blue over his heart and without any warning Jaune sheathe his blade and went to punch the ground with his left hand all of the energy he had built up. This new attack Jaune was saving for whenever him and Yang spared again let alone it be Pyrrha.

Jaune: BAHAMET..FURY

With a mighty roar and loud kaboom that sent out a bright blue blaze that can be seen from Beacon Tower. This stunned Ozpin and Glynda who knew who that could of been. Especially since a news chopper caught the attack live. For the world too see, so teams RWBY, CFVY, Nora and Pyrrha saw it.

Ruby: Well guess we know who that would of been for if we had Combat class on yesterday.

All Jokes aside the chopper was waiting for the dust to clear. When it finally did Jaune was now Shirtless and sporting a big gash on his right arm it looks like the guy broke his Aura. Something that everyone at Beacon knew was next to impossible because Jaune is undefeated when it came to combat class. If one doesn't count the draw between him and Pyrrha. The two fought it out until they both fell from exhaustion. But what was about happen now was not a spar where it's fight till your at your max. No this fight was of a higher stake, Jaune's life was on the line.

The man got up and used his blade's to support himself.

The Butcher: Your... One pain in the ass you know that?

The Butcher: They call me The Butcher. That's my name now what's yours?

Jaune stayed quiet for a second because he was honestly still shocked that some one took the full brunt of his shock wave ground smash.

Jaune: Jaune Arc... No relation

The Butcher: A Arc huh? You truly are special.

Without a second passing The Butcher rushed in and Jaune eyes tightened as his vision focused and his mindset locked in. This battle will result in one of them dying. Jaune was able to deflect the The Butcher's swing but his wild style was new to Jaune so he wasn't expecting the second blade to come out of no where and slash his right arm and knocking his blade away leaving another gash if torn flesh and on the underside of Jaune's arm. This was bad he wouldn't be able to put a lot of power behind any punches on this arm. But that was okay Jaune knew what he would have to resort to Jaune then burst forward. Eyes lacking fear but a resolve he slide in grabbing The Butcher by his waist and just like that Ursa in class Jaune German suplexed him, again rolling into it and lifting the man again but this time keeping a two arm bear hug and slammed the guy on his shoulders sideways. Again Jaune rolled into it and lifted the man up and with his feet planted and with raw strength and pure adrenaline running through him Jaune threw the disarmed Butcher into the side of a building where he collided and bounced off of. Jaune was gassed after that display by no means was Butcher a light weight at 8feet tall and weight what felt like a ton it was hard to do what Jaune did. He may have caught a car at top speed but he hadn't been through hell before it. It just happened when he was at full strength.

Jaune felt the hands of someone familiar to him grab him. Ren had grab Jaune and gave him a shot of Adrenaline Ren looked like shit like he had got caught in Jaune's explosion.

Jaune: Dame Ren I'm sorry-

Ren had shut him up with a painful shot of adrenaline to the to the leg.

Jaune: Ow... Sorry .

Ren: You will be if we make it out of this.

Ren: I don't have any aura and my weapons are destroyed thanks to you. But that guy needs to go down.

Jaune: You thinking what I'm thinking then😁.

Ren blushing of embarrassment: Shut up

Jaune: Aww yeah Martial Arc's time.

Ren: ugh

The two ran in at the butcher who had recovered and was not ready to fight a juiced up Jaune and what looks like the ninja from earlier. But what surprised The Butcher more was the Ninja had just vanished and Jaune Arc looked to be throwing something invisible. It didn't click until he felt what was a foot to his jaw and a right hook to his rib cage one so powerful he felt his ribs crunch and shatter with it this dropped him to one knew then a barrage of calculated punches from the ninja and bone breaking bashes from Jaune. When the barrage ceased The Butcher was dumb founded the one eye he could see out off. He saw that Jaune was now casting a bright blue flaming aura and with one touch he turned the emerald ninja next to him glowing a bright green flaming aura as well.

The two locked eyes with The Butcher who was now expressing great fear.

Ren: When did you learn how to do this?

Jaune: I'll tell you later.

The two then lead in like a dance of blue and green as they both went in for punches kicks and one of Jaune's kicked sending The Butcher skyward. Ren Jumped into Jaune's hands and launched forward to meet The Butcher he super kicked him and without any warning Ren felt a burst of power as he flew forward looking back in slow motion to see Jaune winking at him and his chest burning bright blue. That's when Ren realized that Jaune had found a way not only to convert kinetic energy into aura, but he can transfer it to other's. Ren flew forward grabbing The Butcher and throwing him down towards Jaune who had jumped towards The Butcher who was beaten and bloody.

Ren: Jaune please don't kill him.

(Jaune's Mind)

No worries Ren I refused to be the monster that this man is. I will put him in his fucking place though.

Jaune: HAA!

With a discharge of all the energy Jaune knocked The lights out of The Butcher. His head snapping back from the impact but not killing him but mainly knocking him out.

Jaune landed and caught the Butcher to keep him from receiving anymore damage.

Five minutes later

Jaune came back sword in his sheathe, even though it took him a minute to find it. Ren was just standing there back towards Jaune. Jaune walked up and lightly pushed Ren's shoulder.

Jaune: From what I see the military is rounding up the last remaining terrorist and Atlas only General Ironwood is talking with Ozpin that's why there are war ships up above.

Ren: He shows up only now?

Jaune: Yeah but atleast it's over right.

Ren: Hey did you ever actually turn your scrolls distress signal?

Jaune: Yeah about that... Hehe I dropped my scroll when I rushed in to stop those guys earlier. Hehe

Ren: I want to punch you right now but I'm to weak to put any force behind it.

Then something grabbed the two's attention

Nora: Ren! Jaune!

They both turned to see they're teams and Professor Ozpin and Glynda.

But Jaune knew he was in trouble when he saw Yang and Ruby rushed him. Jaune knew he was about to receive the world's strongest hug and beating courtesy of Yang he has ever taken.

Alright and now for episode 23! Which was a lot more interesting. Still lacking in pertinent ways but at least it got some stuff moving, and there were a few small but very nice character moments.

I took a LOT of Taichi spam this week you guys. The animation was slightly better than normal and my boy was just so good.

At parkour. He’s good at parkour.

We pick up where we left off last week, with Devimon arriving in his true form and picking a fight over Poyomon. He’s so threatened by a wad of jelly.

He does seem a bit weird though. More on that later.

So okay, Devimon makes mincemeat of MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon. Like he wipes the floor with them. Even though they should be a level above him. I was like what’s going on. Clearly dark powers are giving him extra strength, but this still seemed like too much...

Yamato yells for Takeru to go hide. Taichi then yells for Yamato to go hide xD However Devimon has no trouble destroying all their possible hiding spots and attacking them.

Takeru worries about his brother :’<

Taichi quickly tries to think of a strategy but yup “Hide” is all he can come up with.

They communicate via digivice and Yamato has something of a better strategy but... it still just amounts to hiding.

Meanwhile their partners continue to get their butts kicked.

MetalGreymon: Hey watch it I just got this painted!

WereGaurumon: My nails! I just had them done!

Taichi: Would you two stop fussing, you’re so vain!

Taichi: We’ve got more important things to worry about! Like my hair!

Meanwhile in the real world... the four are together and Koushirou updates Jou and Mimi on the situation, which boils down to Not Good. The tank ships are still on a collision course. On top of that, Koushirou notices that the data being absorbed by Calmaramon’s... idk what to call it, data collection tower? thing, is being sent directly to the digital world. He guesses it’s going to be used to power the creature whose name I forgot they fought before.

This guy.

Koushirou also guesses this probably means Taichi and Yamato are in some deep shit rn.

Taichi is pretty smart too... he’s able to tell that Devimon is able to manipulate the dark mists and that’s how he’s able to find their hiding spots and attack them so easily.

Here’s the evil crystal that I would have thought was from Sailor Moon. Ahhh evil is so beautiful. And purple. Hmmm, the Crest of Knowledge is also purple, and absorption of data is converted to power.... GUYS KOUSHIROU’S GOING TO GO DARK.

Kidding, kidding. I would totally watch it though.

So the others go to fight Calmaramon and destroy the tower to help Taichi and Yamato. But, uh, they didn’t count on Calamaramon’s tentaclesx ;D

Kabuterimon makes the classic amateur mistake of DRAMATICALLY ANNOUNCING HIMSELF when he swerves in to rescue the girls...

... and he gets his just desserts. :P

Meanwhile Taichi and Yamato... are still losing. So who steps up to the plate but...

Takeru and Poyomon! Lol!

No seriously, this scene SCREAMED of the one in 99 where Hikari sacrifices herself to protect Yamato and Sora. I was really expecting Takeru to do the same thing here. “Leave my brother alone! Take me instead!”

But, I guess, since he’s a boy, he’s less self-sacrificial and more just... irrationally strong...

His conviction results in evolution!

Poyomon becomes Tokomon! THANK GOODNESS. I could not handle another “poyo, poyo!”

Devimon takes one look at this pink-cheeked thing and FREEEEEEAKS OUUUUUT.

“You remind me... of someone I once knew... you have... the same eyes... GRRRRRRRRR!!!!”

he didn’t say that but he totally should have lol. Now someone please make an edit of Angemon where he takes off his helmet and he has Tokomon eyes underneath x’D

Data readings on Koushirou’s computer start going haywire! The data is being sent somewhere fast!

I was expecting some kind of power up but I wasn’t expecting full on evolution. Because yup. That’s what goes down. Devimon evolves.

And here’s where he gets weird. His evolution seems painful. Unnatural. He doesn’t seem exactly pleased with it, to be frank. He’s really agitated by Tokomon but he doesn’t do much in the way of monologuing and it’s not even clear that the evolution is by his own design. It just kind of seems to happen. Then, once he does evolve, he’s much less talkative. This is generally not the sign of sanity or even sentience. It’s like Devimon is imprisoned by his evolution, which goes on a rampage.

Neodevimon. Actually, original Devimon is scarier but :P

Lol and then Tokomon gets blown out of Takeru’s arms and goes for a tumble while Takeru runs frantically after him xD Great moment.

Rollin rollin rollin, though the streams are swollen...

NeoDevimon is very powerful but y’know... WereGarurumon just STOOD there. This... this is totally his fault that he gets hurt here x’D

Taichi is displeased with this development, and yet, still cute in his displeasure.

Finally Koushirou manages to get through! Taichi is too preoccupied to jump for joy or anything but you can see that he’s excited. “Koushirouuuuu please save us!!!” basically that’s what’s going on

However he’s right away blown over and his digivice scatters and the signal drops...

Yamato is very Stressed.

However, contact with Koushirou has rejuvenated Taichi.

LIKE THE PHOENIX HE RISES FROM THE ASHES

Taichi: “FUCK THIS SHIIIIIIIIIT!”

His renewed conviction becomes power. Yeah, that’s a thing, we know.

Meanwhile, in the human world, the others have worked out that Taichi and Yamato are fighting and need help, and they combine the powers of their own passionate hearts in a classic shonen anime trope.

Koushirou gets a special moment all to himself! It’s really fast but still, the episode makes a point of focusing on Koushirou’s desire to connect with his friends and help them. I choose to believe this a nod to Koushirou’s significant role in the show and a way of saying “Sorry they’re not all together right now but they will be soon and characters other than Taichi and Yamato will get to do cool things in the not so distant future!”

Their partners are then able to defeat Calmaramon and destroy the data collection tower.

BOOM, baby.

Meanwhile our heroes who never sleep manage to defeat Devimon. Which, I figured, meant he’d retreat for now, but...

He freaking dies! Yup, that’s right! Disintegrates!! I was like what the heck?? This was a Boss Battle???? It had none of the signs of being a boss battle other than the boss being present and it wasn’t even that hard...

However, it’s not over till it’s over...

... Tokomon looks on NeoDevimon’s death kind of creepily. Like, the episode makes a point of showing us Tokomon’s reaction, not just the group’s. So... I feel like this is gonna be relevant. I COULD BE WRONG. But I just personally wouldn’t stick this bit in without it meaning something. But that something could be pretty much anything so we still don’t know much.

The sailors aboard the tankers whose control systems are restored at the last second are pretty darn relieved anyway.

This was my favorite moment in epiosde, Mimi flinging herself over Koushirou and knocking Jou out of the way to hug Sora in her enthusiasm over their victory xD awww Mimi

Yamato wants to know what’s with Taichi. Taichi’s like, “The others helped us from afar, I just know it...” AND THAT’S WHY HE’S BEST BOY.

Yamato gives Takeru an adorable pat on the head and tells him good job. Only thing that could have made this moment cuter would have been if he also patted Tokomon’s head. BECAUSE HELLO. KID JUST EVOLVED. SAY HI AND TELL HIM YOUR NAMES AT LEAST.

But then! Darknightmon uses the dark crystal thingy and...!

Le gasp! NeoDevimon’s corpse emerges from the ground...

Taichi has a flashback to another time they thought they won only for their defeated opponent to be infused with dark energy and resurrect...

... uh I forgot this guy’s name too >_>

Taichi: “Wow I never saw this coming!”

Well, I did. :P Due to being over ten years old...

We end with NeoDevimon’s mask cracking off!

Creepy!

Final thoughts... it now kind of looks like Darknightmon is the one pulling Devimon’s strings rather than the other way around. But my guess is that’s not the case. It could also be that Devimon told Darknightmon to do this - after all, Devimon used the stone’s power to evolve Darknightmon before, and this is just the reverse of that. Or it could be they are equals and in cahoots with each other. I definitely think there’s an even greater, bigger Bad out there that they either work for or are afraid of etc something like that, I think we probably all feel sure of that at least. But Devimon in this episode really surprised me in the ways he seems to lack agency. He seemed like a pawn of evil rather than the chessmaster himself.

So next week! Looks lit!

Devimon’s new evolution? or power up? whatever is creepier than NeoDevimon so that’s a relief.

BUT THIS IS EVEN CREEPIER HOLY CRAP TAICHI! Get some sleep, your eyes are all red! (And he’s injured. His hand is where he got hurt two weeks ago fighting Splashmon right? He got hit with miasma. I wonder if this is the same wound and if it’s somehow controlling him due to the dark energy getting into his system... But everyone’s more or less been hit with the dark energy at this point so maybe not. Anyway, CREEPY EYES, CREEPY CREEPY EYES.)

Also Yamato DIES. He DIES y’all. *funeral march plays* Hmm, Tokomon looks hungry...

Then we got this bit which in case you can’t tell is Takeru being awesome. So I figured, ahh, THIS is the boss battle, and we’re gonna see Angemon again already... weird as that sounds :P

HOW-E-VER

We also get this???? Taichi silhouetted against a brilliant light????? What does it mean? I mean we know Takeru has healing powers so I’m fully expecting that to happen but uhh are we also going to canonize Taichi next week? lol. Saint Taichi. I love him the best but I will be a bit miffed if next week IS the big boss battle and Takeru’s role is “power up Taichi so he can kill it” and that’s it... But I guess we’ll have to see.

It does rather look like they saved the animation budget for next week, the preview was nuts x’D Can’t wait.

Like ever since the kids entered the Fake Tokyo they have pretty much been fighting non-stop without resting or eating and like, it’s starting to get to me, their stamina to keep on fighting is a bit much and it’s just gonna keep on going until Devimon’s dead, isn’t it

Going off this I have at least Catra's Persona solidified rn and the Arcana type I'm going with is Death as well as Fire/Physical element and attack style below (TWs: suicidal thoughts and horror imagery for the Shadow section):

Persona: Shiva, Hindu god of destruction and often seen as a benevolent, at times self sacrificial bringer of change and rebirth in the destruction he leaves behind, though he also possesses a fierce temper against evildoers (he's also the god/deva of several other things but those are his common associations, the main theme I wanted to convey is the Hindu association of Destruction = New Regrowth instead of destruction inherently being seen as bad as in many European Western beliefs and I think this matches Catra's arc & the Death Arcana perfectly aside from being a view I agree with)

Base Weapon type: Bows

Ultimate Weapon: Pinaka, the bow belonging to Shiva used to reset creation with a single arrow (it's a spear for some reason in P3 for Ken but for her I'm going with the bow) in terms of game stats its effect is more like +10 to all stats & high chance of inflicting Burn

Spell/Skill Progression:

- Agi through Agidyne spell tree to Blazing Hell

- Dekaja for buff dispelling

- Makarakarn so while she's weakening enemies with Dekaja she protects her allies from magic

- Charge, bc those Physical attacks aren't gonna buff themselves and she's the type to attack with all she has given the chance

- Fire Break, standard for any Fire user

- Tetraja, another skill based around protecting others from insta kills

- God's Hand, one of the best Phys. skills and more in line with Catra's hand to hand fighting over using weapons

- Attack Master, it's Catra, this has her written all over it (however it didn't exist before P5 apparently so if Pre-P5 I would replace it with Tarukaja which is the same thing just not automatic)

- Matarukaja, same as above ^ but for whole party

- Arrow Rain, Phys attk

- Diarahan, but no Mediarahan later on just bc I think single target healing matches better with her case by case mental view on helping others at least within what we see in Spop

- Fire Amp, another standard for Fire types

- Primal Force, Phys attk

- Pralaya, Phys attk and an attk associative with Shiva himself including in other iterations of Persona

Social Link (P5 may have renamed them Confidant but the old name is better bye Atlus lol):

Her SL story is very much in line with her original Spop self; wronged by her upbringing, neglected by society and considered inferior when ppl compare her esp to the only person she truly loves, she's impulsive and self destructive despite wanting better- her arc would revolve around giving her the resolve to climb out of the negative pit she's dug for her life and changing to feel better self worth and worthy of others esp Adora (how exactly I'm not sure rn but the idea is there)

If going by the traditional HS setting for the Persona games she's a second year student (16) where Adora is a third year (iirc Noelle said Adora is older by a year or somth but if not then they're the same age) who could either be a legit third year who still hangs with her a lot since they grew up together OR they still grew up together but they're in the same second year class bc Adora is supposed to be a third year either legit or through grade skipping but she could've declined a grade skip or failed to advance likely bc of something that happened between her and Catra that made her fear Catra's safety or simply not wanting to be alone etc. it's very open to interpretation

Shadow Self (going more by P4 rules):

Shadow Catra embodies the worst of her negative traits and habits, openly throwing around her worst insecurities and fears particularly around abandonment, loss, and inferiority; this is made worse by the fact that it knows and mocks her for expressing it poorly through anger and self sabotaging while never making any real changes but instead forever buried in a hole she made for herself while blaming the world instead of accepting responsiblity for what she can control

It's humanoid form is the usual clone of its owner but with the gold yellow eyes and the distorted voice and the whole I Am A Shadow, The True Self when it transforms after being denied

It's real monster form is an exaggerated chimera with its neck and hands locked by a pillory, while its feet are free to move they're rendered immobile by miasma; it's second pair of arms have one hand holding an axe over its head as if about to decapitate itself while the other hand holds a bent key for the lock on the pillory, a third pair of arms have both hands clutching a heart to its chest

Shadow Symbolism:

The gruesome aspects of it reflect the severity of Catra's negative, hopeless perspective on her life and situation, feeling trapped in a spiral of abuse and shame from herself and others, wanting to escape the humiliation but unable to because she won't accept or is able to see the healthy tools and relationships that would help her, holding her emotions and heart close in protection deep beneath the anger so she won't get hurt by others even if she wants to be vulnerable with them, the chemira represents the uncertain form Catra perceived of her identity and the trauma within her interpreting herself first as an amalgamation of the negative, evil things others tell her she is until she began to believe it

The axe about to cut off its head represents her repressed feelings of thinking her death would benefit those around her, as well as the metaphorical death she must undergo to change as a person but is afraid to accept

Miscellaneous:

More of a early mid to late mid game party member for recruitment and would likely start off around lvls 45-50~ paralleling her middle to late story turn toward redemption in Spop, prior to this she'd still be an important antagonistic NPC and she'd likely be found at the back of school or an arcade to initiate dialogue and later progress her SL; EDIT: I went with Fire as her element not just because it suits her go-getter personality and temper but Fire is also viewed as sacred in various primarily Eastern religions (especially Buddhism) for symbolizing rebirth and renewal or separation from the desires holding one down from enlightenment (ie. Catra's initial desire to stay within what's familiar rather than risk the unknown in changing)

ooooooo you got a point. i moved in with friends last year and kinda freaked out at the idea of living with people who notice things about me so wrote a lot of crime crew to try to work through that. then i freaked out about food and wrote “we all have a hunger.” basically what i’m sayin is i Write To Cope as we know. i try to write things where bad things happen but there’s also healing, I try not to write juno suffering alone without help. sometimes i write backstory fics that fill in some of juno’s past that don’t end well but that feels different to me? idk.

but you’re so right about the Angst Potential. it would be off the charts! juno could be forced to ask peter for help! tenderly bandaging injuries! cuddling for warmth! juno finally trusting peter! peter freaking out that miasma of all people is the second person to know his name! i’m a sucker for all of these!

Probably all of my followers rn are like DEAR GOD STOP POSTING ABOUT THE ARCANA ALREADY but I can’t help myself ok

Especially bc I’ve cooked up some Crazy Conspiracy Theories and you all know how much I love those.

Crazy Conspiracy Theory 1: Of Blood Magic And Memory Loss

From the flashback of Asra and Muriel, we definitely get a sense that Asra isn’t interested in curing the plague at all, he’s just using it as a convenient excuse to get his hands on the palace resources. Why? Well, probably for the only thing he actually seems to care about — the Apprentice. Now stick with me here because the timeline’s a little convoluted.

My assumption is that the Apprentice is already catatonic during the Asra-Muriel flashback, and in fact is catatonic for almost all of Asra’s flashbacks. Why? First, the comment to Faust about the Apprentice being somewhere he can’t follow. Second, that Julian seems to have no idea they exist, in the flashbacks or when we first meet him. And third because there is no goddamn way the Apprentice would be letting Asra fill their good Vesuvian magic shop with blood magic miasmas if they were awake to stop it I mean?? This is their HOME jfc Asra.

HOWEVER. In one of the flashbacks, Asra is helping the Apprentice pick an outfit for the Masquerade. Because present!Apprentice doesn’t remember this scene we can surmise there was at least one memory-wipe after it. But that’s not what’s important here; the fact that this memory exists at all means they regained consciousness at some point before the masquerade, right? Right. How? Well…….

If Asra wasn’t spending his time at the palace looking for a plague cure, and he found the blood magic spell in one of the tomes he read there… We can extrapolate that the spell is probably to wake the Apprentice from their coma. Of course Asra and Julian are spending the whole conversation at cross-purposes if so — Julian thinks he’s helping Asra with a spell that might help with the plague. But when Asra is talking about how he hopes it will change something or that they’ll have to wait to find out the effect of the spell, he’s really talking about bringing the Apprentice out of their coma. It would definitely explain his weirdly intense expressions after having been so devil-may-care about the plague in the flashback just prior. And since the Apprentice wakes up before the masquerade… I’m gonna guess the spell worked.

Which, in conclusion, means the Apprentice is linked to darling Ilya through blood magic, tho I’m not sure what that might mean for them.

And now, Conspiracy Theory 2: And You Killed the Count, And You Killed the Count! Everybody Killed the Count!

I’m exaggerating, of course. But this is one of the most mysterious questions in the fandom. Did Julian really do it? Or Asra? What about Nadia, or Valerius, or even… The Apprentice?! Well, since they regained consciousness as per Theory 1, I suppose it’s possible. But let me put forth an alternate theory:

The courtiers did it. Why do I think so, you ask? Well, Valerius’ account struck me as a little odd. He dismisses the other courtiers out of hand as bumbling idiots. However, their actions as described don’t really strike me as stupidity per se.

All four of them are standing outside the doors of the Count’s currently burning bedroom. According to Valerius they’re shouting things, but apparently they aren’t actually doing much of anything. And look, I can understand not, you know, leaping into a raging inferno, especially not for Lucio of all people lmao HOWEVER, why are none of them… You know… Running for help? Trying to find water to douse the flames?? Doing literally anything??? Valerius seems to think it’s because they’re panicking. But you know who else wouldn’t be in a hurry to put out the fire? The people who set it.

In addition, the courtiers apparently see Julian flee the bedroom, but they don’t pay him any mind until Valerius points him out, at which point they all pounce on poor Jules and start accusing him. If they were really panicking because of their concern, they would have taken notice of Julian before then. But, of course, why would they be looking for a culprit if they already knew who did it? However, with Valerius now on the scene, a witness, what better scapegoat than the hapless Doctor Devorak, suspiciously fleeing the scene of the crime? It would cement them as both innocent and loyal.

Whether Julian went into the room before or after the blaze was set is up for debate — perhaps they meant to kill him too, either by setting the room on fire with him in it or by convincing him to go in and try to save the Count while it burned — in fact, in regards to the latter it could very well be that Julian was just an unfortunately-timed witness like Valerius.

In any case, I just don’t buy that they’re all impressionable and stupid. You don’t last long in cutthroat court politics if you’re a moron. Nadia was in a coma for like three years so they didn’t have her influence to protect them, and I really doubt Valerius cares if they live or die tbh. Mark my words, there’s more to these oddly-named peacocks than meets the eye……..

i find having someone to talk about personal things helps me feel better, it might help you? the first bit was the hardest because there was no self-esteem left so any 'youre not worthless' just bounced off but having someone i could tell the small victories to, like 'i dropped the pen and i reflexively called myself stupid but then i thought no, everyone drops shit all the time, and this does not mean im worthless' and get encouragement was nice and gave me something to hold on to for bad days.

i think the closest thing i do to this rn is like… yell on a private twitter so it kind of feels like i’m venting to my friends, but it doesn’t actually incite any specific response most of the time so it’s not as effective haha. and i really don’t mean to sound like i’m dismissing your advice or refusing help or anything but i suffer big time from that classic and most convenient symptom of depression where u expertly isolate urself from friends so i have virtually no support web or socialization irl... and it’s hard to reach out to someone who’s not already there, you know? ik i’m making it worse by holing myself up but i can’t help but feel like i have to spare my friends from the absolutely toxic miasma i emit from my diseased core 24/7 😬

Finé: "Why don't you save the performance review for later, and make your return for now?"

Genjuro Kazanari: "She's right. Can you two come back to Section 2 HQ with me?"

Tsubasa Kazanari: "Okay. While we're there, it might be useful to discuss what's been going on recently."

Genjuro Kazanari: "Of course."

Chris Yukine: "So, what should we do with this guy?"

Ver Squad Member A: "Oh, don't trouble yourselves with him."

Ver Squad Member B: "We'll take him back to base with us once he comes to."

Genjuro Kazanari: "I see. We'll leave him to you, then."

Ver Squad Member A: "If he doesn't wake up, we can just drag him there, I guess."

Chris Yukine: "I can't actually tell if he's the master, or the puppet..."

Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yes. As far as we know, there are abnormalities in three worlds, including this one."

Chris Yukine: "That means this world, our own world, and one more?"

Finé: "Hmm... And the third world? What sort of situation are we looking at?"

Tsubasa Kazanari: "F.I.S. runs things there rather than Section 2, with only one wielder. We sent Maria's group to investigate."

Finé: "F.I.S. huh? So brash, those Americans. Still, that world sounds oddly specific."

Genjuro Kazanari: "Well, I suppose there are lots of different worlds out there..."

Tsubasa Kazanari: "Anyway, what about this world? Have there been any abnormalities other than that Karma Noise?"

Genjuro Kazanari: "None as far as we know. That's the first time we've seen that thing."

Finé: "It seems that was the only specimen responsible for the Karma Noise signal."

Chris Yukine: "Then all we have to do is kill it?"

Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yes, that should bring things back under control."

Genjuro Kazanari: "Sorry girls, but we're actually going to need your help agan."

Finé: "Their help? Ugh..."

Chris Yukine: "What? Why are you mad at us?"

Genjuro Kazanari: "What's wrong?"

Finé: "What do we need them for? Don't you have faith in my abilities?"

Genjuro Kazanari: "Me and Tsubasa will then close in from the front to deal serious damage with our most powerful attacks."

Genjuro Kazanari: "Once weakened, the rear will continue to deal damage while we all go in together to finish it."

Finé: "Yes. And please... bring him back in one piece."

Tsubasa Kazanari: "We'll do all we can."

Genjuro Kazanari: "Looks like they made it."

Dr. Ver: "Late! You two are so, so late! The nerve of you, keeping me, a HERO, waiting like this!"

Dr. Ver: "A late entrance is reserved for heroes! Sidekicks like you are supposed to wait desperately for my arrival!"

Tsubasa Kazanari: "Why don't you just show up later next time, then..."

Chris Yukine: "Personally, I'd rather he just not show up at all."

Tsubasa Kazanari: "Where is the Karma Noise?"

Genjuro Kazanari: "Over there."

Chris Yukine: "All right. We'll finish it off before it can get away this time!"

Dr. Ver: "Hehe... We're off, then, are we? Time to make me and my loyal sidekicks' heroic deeds famous the world over!"

Tsubasa Kazanari: "I'm not sure I want to give it that much thought."

Genjuro Kazanari: "Now, let's commence the strategy!"

Finé: "Now that you mention it, do I notice a difference in your Gear? My readings show increased power levels."

Chris Yukine: "Well, we've kind of been through a lot lately."

Dr. Ver: "I see, you've gotten stronger, have you? Well, I think that's just wonderful..."

Dr. Ver: "How about putting that power to use in my Hero Unit? I could throw in some photos of myself as a gift."

Chris Yukine: "Can it, the answer is no!"

Tsubasa Kazanari: "I'm afraid we must decline."

Finé: "Anyway, the Karma Noise signal is gone now. We are truly grateful for your aid."

Genjuro Kazanari: "All right, shall we make our way back to HQ?"

Tsubasa Kazanari: "We are grateful for the offer, but I'm afraid we must return."

Chris Yukine: "Yeah, we've got problems to solve in other worlds."

The New War Au part 3

Three months after part 2

Jaune and Ren where in Vale shopping for snacks and party stuff for the big party Yang and Coco wanted to throw. Team RWBY and team CFVY had worked together on a HVAG hunt. Jaune wasn't too keen on being a errand boy but atleast him and Ren can talk to each other for once. They haven't really spoken to one another due to Ren being well Ren. It also has to do with a game of drunken spin the bottle thanks to Yang of course.

This is where Nora and Jaune got paired together and instead of taking a shot Jaune just laid one on the ginger bomber. This also lead to drunk and friendship sex something only Jaune, Ren, and Nora know about. Jaune just couldn't handle the silence between the two of them. Since there was a shit ton of traffic they where stuck waiting.

Jaune: So... I know you probably don't want to be here with me rn but were a team. I feel I haven't been a good team leader to-

Ren: Jaune your not about to apologize are you. If it's about you and Nora that night I'm not bothered by that. I know Nora's not good with alcohol, also me and her aren't together- together

Ren: You've been nothing but a good team leader fto us.

Ren: Jaune that was so long ago it doesn't bother me.

Jaune: So then how come you never talk to me. Or come to me for anything?

Ren: Well... Uh how do I put it. I'm still kinda of intimidated by you. That explosion you let off in class and the one after that.

The two finally where able to cross the street.

Ren: You also keep to yourself throughout the weeks only really talking and chilling out with everyone on the weekends.

Ren: I just thought it would be best to steer clear of you.

Jaune: I'm just happy you don't see me as an asshole or something. But I'm sorry you feel that way. Tell you what before we go back and meet up with everyone at the party me and you hang out, my treat okay.

Ren: lol okay sure but no junk food I'm trying to stay in shape.

Jaune: NANI!? You can't do that I live off of my burgers and soda.

Ren: That's why your getting a little heavier I heard you talking with Pyrrha last week you went up like 10pounds.

Jaune: Lol

That's when Jaune noticed that there are a lot of trucks driving past them on the road all black Vans one of them parking in the middle of traffic. Vale is boisterous kingdom there is always someone trying to go some where. So for a van to just stop and hold up traffic is unheard of

Jaune: I don't like this.

Ren: I think it's to early to decide that maybe-

Then without warning a group of six men got out of the van all wearing these bullet proof type vest and Black mask and sporting heaven weapons. Two have Light machine guns while two more have Rifles while the last two didn't have anything they just ran forward while the four men with guns ran the opposite direction.

At this very point Jaune's situational awareness kicked in especially when he realized the men run towards they're direction, not at them but towards the cars and civilians near them. Jaune then instinctively grabbed Ren and with aura in his body and his goal in mind he was gonna get the two of them out of there.

Ren: W-What... J-Jaune

Was the only thing he could say before he realized he was being held and moved away from the ensuing explosion. Those two guys without guns where suicide bombers. They where wearing best with obvious c4 labels bad wrapping. Jaune had got atleast 6 meters or so away from where they were standing that was enough to keep out of the initial explosion, but something else had happened that Jaune didn't see but Ren did. The truck the men got out of exploded as well releasing a thick black miasma that covered the area. Jaune was able to get them away before the miasma got them.

Jaune: Ha ha *out of breath*

Jaune: What the fuck was that, those guys, the explosion, all those people are gone.

Ren: JAUNE, we have to move, we have to call someo-

Just like that the sound of another explosion went off. Then another, and another till there was just sounds of chaos and discord. The two looked at what they could only assume was another cloud of miasma like the one where they are and then they saw it the people caught inside of it where they were would die from the fumes.

Ren: Jaune call somebody,

Jaune: Who the hell do I call right now

Ren: ANYBODY!

Jaune: AND TELL THEM WHAT?!. A terrorist attack is happening what should we do?

Then Jaune's scroll started dinging it was Yang.

Yang: JAU- J- R- Y- O-

His Scroll wasn't getting good reception

Jaune: YANG? YANG YOUR BREAKING UP YANG?! YANG?!

Jaune: Damnit I lost the signal.

Ren: Jaune call your weapons to you I'll do the same

Jaune: No need I've already called both of our ETA 2mins. Since we can't get hold of anyone we'll do what we can to help the civilians.

Jaune: We may be Huntsman but I'm not gonna sit by while innocent people die.

The duo's lockers landed and now they both stand in front of them.

Ren: I completely agree and sorry about earlier.

Jaune: It's fine suit up and let's move out I'm going to activate my distress beacon in my scroll and share my location. Someone will see it, btw I'm not the only one who saw the Atlas logo on all of those guys shoulders am I ?

Ren: I saw it too, but I'm not to sure what to make of it? Let's just move. Your orders team leader😌

Jaune: On me stay sharp, these aren't Grimm where fighting. These are living breathing people are your ready for that if it comes to it.

Ren: I can't say I will be but I will do what I can to see Nora again.

Back At Beacon

(Over the PA system)

Ozpin: Due to the ensuing chaos and destruction in the city of Vale all students are to remain in your dorms and be ready for any orders I may give.

Ozpin: I can not say things will be the same after today but what I can say is we will prevail in these dark times.

Team RWBY, Team CFVY, Nora, and Pyrrha are all in teams Rwby dorm trying to figure what to do. They all saw the news mass terrorist attack throughout the kingdom of Vale. They had just tried to reach Jaune and Ren but the signal cut out and they didn't look like they where in good shape.

Coco: Holy shit those people are...

Yatsuhashi: Gone. The people responsible for this... Who could do such a thing?

Velvet: ...

Fox put his hand on Velvet's back and rubbed to comfort her.

Weiss: Those men they patches they look like Atlas military.

Pyrrha: Can't be they're not organized like they're military, They're just waiting the gear.

Blake: ... I don't know Pyrrha they look the part.

Nora: I should have gone with them.

Pyrrha: Nora it's fine they'll be fine.

Yang was pacing back n forth but spoke up once she heard that.

Yang: Oh yeah and how do you know that?

Ruby: Yang... Calm down

Yang: I'm fine Rubes, just curious were supposed to sit here while two people we care about are out there in that mess.

Yang: You say they'll be fine but we've been sitting here for and hour with the same message going off every ten minutes.

Ruby: Yang

Yang: RUBY CALM

Ruby: YANG!

The room was absolutely quiet

Ruby: Jaune will be fine, I'm worried just as much as you are. Besides he is with Ren and they can both hold they're own.

Yang: Against Grimm definitely but people you and me both know Jaune doesn't take death well.

Yang: You may not know the full story but Ricky's passing weights heavily on Jaune.

As the two where about to continue the news anchor on air spoke of two male huntsman adding the Police in the attack. The group can see Jaune and Ren are fighting back and helping the Police but they're position is pinned down from all sides the terrorist are closing in on the law enforcement and huntsman outside of the Dusk till Dawn dust shop. Will the two Huntsman in training survive the endless amounts of men pushing in on they're location.

End Of Part 3

Character Analysis

Lie Ren: Age 18, Classification Mid-Grade, Huntsman classification: Oppressor, with fast unrelenting attacks Ren can send attacks in all the while keeping the targets guessing on the next attack. This opens up Rena targets for successful strikes.

Semblance, Cloak, this semblance allows Ren to cloak humor anybody who touches him making them transparent to the naked eye. This does have draw backs like the main one him and anyone he's in contact with is still there and can be seen with infrared. It also exhausting to do it with more then 5 people for more then 10 minutes.
