i had to reread what my initial thoughts about it bc it was months ago??? and after rereading im just like, huh what was i on— (just that feeling when you just cringe at your old posts ;; but idk i think the insanity/cringe sometimes can loop back into being a genius and the cycle just continues)

anyways i’ve been on and off writing yuusha’s bio and overblot yuu was just at the back of my mind chilling but i didn’t really do anything with it.

but now that i have the opportunity,,,, im gonna go on the magicless route this time bc i feel like I've said all what i thought if it was an overblot due to her own magic.

so uh from what i gather overblots are a mix of overuse of magic + intense negative emotion.

since it’s magicless yuu, i guess the one of the general headcanons around the fandom is that they’ve been too exposed to overblots and then intense negative emotions suddenly just triggered their overblot.

uh anyways onto the elsa parts

THE LYRICS ARE SO GOOD ;;; i really love how some broadway interpretations expand on the source material

and yeah you're right 🤧🤧🤧— yuusha would try to hide and escape, especially as she overblots bc she would try to avoid hurting people (and like elsa, it'd only hurt others more trying to escape bc of probably how she leaves destruction in her wake trying to make others stay away from her 😔)

(this is a small tangent but i remember thinking about an overblot kalim and i imagine him to be similar, like he would not hurt anyone intentionally in his overblot.)

anyways so the way it would go is that i imagine her friends got fatally injured either because a) she feels that she’s too “useless” without magic to help and wasn’t able to do anything OR b) her attempts at helping to try and prove that she can help without magic made everything worse.

and then she just goes into a guilty spiral then boom — overblot.

ALSO in the song, the way elsa briefly contemplated taking her own life but then realizing there’s no guarantee that would solve anything hnghgh (<- another unintentional parallel to my yuusha lore because that’s actually how she ended up in twst except she did NOT have the latter realization)

there’s this “yuu is dead” theory i’m just using and that the black carriage actually just caught yuusha’s soul after she took her own life from all the burden.

also some bonus angst context for that violin post :3

yuusha back in her homeworld is raised and known to be a gifted musician. people can feel the life and soul in her music but when people interact with her, they are usually met with an ice-cold (heh) personality.

the dead family member was the one who taught her music and the only one who was kind to her.

there’s always an expectation from her family to perform well and to keep up appearances as to not be a humiliation since anything she does can reflect on her entire family. (also hi, slight yuusha/jamil parallels maybe???)

the way she presents herself also stemmed from an incident as a child when she went apeshit on another kid bc she was defending a friend.

so from then on she was taught taught to conceal don’t feel those emotions — which just unfortunately extended to any positive ones, not just negative ones like rage.

so when she is brought to twst, there’s no memory of her being forced to hold back her emotions so she’s just unapologetically affectionate and open with everyone bc that’s how she really is.

but every now and then, memories of her breaking down haunt her in her dreams or as subtle reminders in the waking world.

then yuusha just goes on her day like she just wasn't reminded of her past.

(unnecessarily tragic lore my beloved, but anyway—)

my review on the original heartbreak high + the characters after watching like 2 nd a half seasons😈😈😈

spoilers below‼

the original is so much different to the reboot?😭 tbh the first season was very different to the rest of the show aswell as the reboot, but the only similarities i feel like they both have is that its took place in the same school and some (2💀) of the characters are in the reboot some way or another

overall, i do like the show. more than the reboot??? maybe, maybe not, idk😰😰😰 but its very well written in the sense that all the characters are insufferable, but you still feel pity for them and have a soft spot for them until next thing you know, theyre number 1 on your favourite list for the next 3 episodes until they do something crazy and slide all the way down to the bottom🙁

the storylines are actually really interesting, although i just know the writers are starting to run out of ideas. like theyre averaging around 40 episodes fkr 7 seasons there is NO way its gna be interesting all the way through💀 although i could be surprised, i was only bored in the first episode or two, because it has a bit of a slow beginning. infact i started this tv show ages ago but i never got past episode 1 until now😭

one problem i do have is the normalised large age gaps😨 like a 30 year old will date a 17 year old and nobody bats an eye... a bit scary tbh😞😞😞 they do still have storylines about how bad large age gaps are and how they're creepy but yk... hypocrisy is a real disease. im not too surprised though, as the tv show is based off a movie, called the heartbreak kid, about a romance between a teacher and her student. not so funfact: the teacher was called christina and the student was called nick. they were both played by the same actors as nick poulos and ms milano in the tv show. ☹

my opinion on the characters:

THANKFULLY they decided to keep this relationship out of the tv show. that doesnt stop the teacher x student relationships though😰😰😰 like the whole mr north - rose thing seemed pretty one sided on roses part thankfully, but he was still a nonce. like wdym u got a 17 year old pregnant and thats why you dont want to date rose? shouldnt the age gap or the fact shes your student be the reason??? then you had a 30 year old picking up con from a highschool, where she tells him he would look 'sexy' in a uniform, which just screams red flag, plus southgate and george (2 adults) knew and didnt gaf??😭 omg need i remind he was basically 🍇ed by lucys mother in the catering episode🙁 dont even get me started on sam and rivers. like he started harassing her which is horrible, but then she keot defending rivers and eventually started liking him back??? and when the students find out deloraine fired her they got mad at deloraine??? do they not care shes basically a nonce😥😥what even was the moral of this story because it was so icky... and then they run away together.😐 one storyline that highkey made me sob was lucy and her mums bf. im so happy they portrayed this in a negative light, cuz the scenes made me so uncomfortable. lucys actor is incredible tbh, this storyline was acc so sad☹

nick: he actually used to be my favourite, but at some point he became such a dick. like i still have a small soft spot for him because he was really nice at times, but him cheating on jodie was probably the final straw for me😭

jodie: i didnt like her at first for some reason?? i dont know why???? shes actually really sweet, and probably the most open minded character in the whole show. nit at all relevant but she lowkey gives off gothic vibes😭 anyways someone find her a nice supportive boyfriend or i will date her instead. tbh tho, her and nick were cute while they lasted. also she is acc such a good singer and rapper omfg.

i also love the friendship she has w rivers and steve. like that is the perfect definition of platonuc boy and girl friendship where you can be close without catching feelings with eachother. like cuddling the homies. like kissing the homies goodnight. idk man my point is that some trios do work😋

con: probably my fav character !!! he was also my dads favourite too (my dad used to watch this when he was younger) 😭 he has a very likeable personality icl, although i feel like he lowkey has a lack of storylines. idk why, it just feels like they never give him any important storylines which is kinda sad😞 one storyline that he did have was the one with rose and jack and OH MY FUCKING GOD I GOT SO MUCH SECOND HAND EMBARASSMENT. like con, ily but asking rose to marry you was NOT a girlboss move🙁 anyways dare i say he has adhd. people might disagree, its just a headcanon (although he is adhd coded. quinni may not be the only nuerodivergent character in the hbh universe..😈)

steve: i used to hate him because i thought he was irrelevant and treated danielle horrible, but at some point in season 1 the episodes got very steve-centric and he grew on me sooo bad.😨 istg tho, there was a certain point where he could not catch a break and i felt so bad😭 like imagine ur parents divorcing and becoming homeless because none of them wanted you, and then finding out youre adopted??? crazy. imo, id say he had one of the best written storylines in the tv show, but i think thats just because i lowkey related to him.😣 like the depression arc was real (that aint even the part i related to💀) anyways hes also vv funny, and i know he dies and im already grieving him despite not actually getting to that part yet☹

danielle: i mean shes okay???? i liked her at first iykwim but then she became kinda annoyibg nd rude😭 shes fine now, but i still dislike her. however, im kinda curious to see how this drug storyline works out, as the writers seem to do pretty well with all of danis storylines. ive not gotten to this bit yet, im just kinda curious😞 however, i dont know if shes pro choice or pro life and ots scaring me...

rivers: idk, i mean sometimes hes tolerable, and other times hes just a knob. i do feel bad for him though, he went through some shit🙁 he was kinda creepy at times tho, ntm the racism and homophobia...😰 i can sense the character development though, like the difference between him in season 1 vs now is obvious ! i do dislike him quite a lot though still.

the whole thing with sam is so icky though😭

rose: icl, i loved her. she deserved to be in the show longer. i thought she was incredibky delusional though, like first that pedo mr north, and then jack? except the crazy part was that her delusions were right😥😥 i was extremely oblivious to the fact jack liked her back, but yk, never underestimate the power behind teen girl magazines😈 the whole thing with the baby felt realistic (i think?? idk ive never had a teen pregnancy before) amd i thiught it was all executed pretty well !!! plus tess was really cute😭 it would be cool if tess came in the reboot as a teacher or something!!

Amanda Young

rating: 9/10, upsettingly good.

she probably mains red or black.

amanda is a menace in this game. shes the kind of player that, no matter how good you or anyone else is, you can NEVER tell if she's the imposter or not.

she's just so good at hiding it! half the time, she absolutely carries her imposter team, and you never even know.

she always kills you last, though, if she has to kill you at all. so thats nice, i guess–

she really enjoys setting up games so every aspect can be exactly the way she wants it. she also prefers playing in one imposter games, because she thinks its more challenging that way.

Billy Loomis

rating: 8/10, so..... suspicious.

for SURE mains black.

he's the kind of player who can pull of the weirdest, most confusing series of kills. probably shockingly good at setting up and executing stack kills. how?? how does he do it so smoothly????

he's usually pretty okay at hiding that he's the imposter.

but he will loudly complain if he doesn't get imposter often enough for his liking. he will also get personally offended if you (or stu, or both) get imposter a lot in one game, and he doesn't.

when you get a round where the imposters are really bad, no matter what the reason could be, he critiques the hell out of them and complains about how they are no fun to play with.

he loves when the two of you are an imposter team. even better, on bigger maps, he loves when you, him, and stu are all imposters. it happens rarely, but its his favorite thing.

you know he's considering killing you when he gets weirdly quiet in the middle of a round. just stay away from the vents, you might be fine.

Stu Macher

rating: 7/10, very fun, very chaotic.

never has a main color. switches it up every round. he also likes to wear the pumpkin on his head, or the fried egg.

stu is a good talker, so a lot of the time, he manages to talk his way out of being voted off. you've even seen him manage to talk his way out of being voted off when someone saw him kill another player in front of them.

he's considerably more chaotic than billy, so his kills aren't as smooth, but he has an unnatural knack for knowing when people are alone and taking them out.

he brings a lot of energy to games.

even when you play with him, you make it your number one goal to never be alone with him in a room, just in case.

he assures you that he would never kill you!! (spoiler alert, he won't, until he cant get anyone else alone and he asks you to come watch him do a visual task, only to kill you and win the game. how rude, stu.)

Bo Sinclair

rating: 3/10, girl..... calm down.

feels like a dark blue main.

have you ever seen someone rage quit among us? you're about to!

has a bad habit of getting aggressive in chat, so people tend to vote him pretty quickly even if he isn't imposter.

he fully exits the game the second his poor little character gets shot into space, and then you get to hear about how stupid everyone is while he watches you play over your shoulder.

to be fair, he was usually correct about who the imposter was, so he is a LITTLE justified about being angry, but. homeboy has some Anger Issues and the rage is very real.

as the imposter, he's usually pretty good at not getting caught.... until someone asks what he's been doing or where he was, and he gets a little too defensive.

you can see it coming from a mile away, and if you don't want to hear about him losing for the next three hours, feel free to tell everyone he's been with you the whole time.

Brahms Heelshire

rating: 5/10, stop hiding!!!

dude. get out of the vents.

everytime he kills someone, he will immediately hide in the vents until someone reports the body and the next round starts.

the only time he breaks this pattern is if someone is standing directly over or in front of the vent, at which point he pops out to kill them and then pops right back in.

i mean it works??? i guess??? but come ON–

he has never killed you when he was the imposter, and he gets mopey if you kill him, so i advise against it.

whenever he isn't imposter, he follows you around for like 90% of the game, just watching you complete all your tasks before he even starts his. and he expects you to stay with him while he does his!

Carrie White

rating: 6/10 so pure. so good.

genuinely dislikes being the imposter. she isn't good at lying to people, so she always gets herself caught, and she usually ends up lowkey freaking out and either self reporting the body or not running away fast enough and getting caught.

mostly, when she's imposter, she will close doors and sabatoge things in the hopes that her partner will do the rest.

she usually mains white, and either has the little flower on her head or the the little sprout. gives off very sweet vibes.

as a crewmate, she is very dutiful in getting her tasks done. she always vouches for people, especially you, and will always volunteer to watch someone do a visual task. (sometimes you go with her just to make sure this doesn't backfire on her...... no murdering carrie on your watch).

she talks to everyone in chat too, both in the lobby, and in deadchat. she makes friends everywhere!

she may not be the best at the game, but she is sO fun to play with. just a good wholesome time.

Jason Vorhees

rating: 2/10....... he tried.

do NOT let him set up the game, he will make the walking speeds so slow.

but, okay, first of all, how did you get him to play??? how did you convince him to agree to this??? are we sure he knows whats going on-

i suppose it doesn't matter, he would probably do anything you asked him to do anyway, and if he thinks you would really have fun playing with him, then heaven forbid he say no!

either way, he is dead. silent. for the whole game. he doesn't even type in chat, except for the very occasional 'yes' or 'no.'

he would probably be the person who just said 'yes' if someone asked if he was the imposter.

he also doesn't have a main color, but mostly because he either doesn't know HOW to change it, or doesn't care enough to do it. if you ask him/do if for him, though, he would like either dark green or brown. (you could even give it the cute little hockey mask!)

The Lost Boys (+Star)

rating: 4/10, children please.

this is a group thing. if you convince one of them to play, then they're ALL playing. hell, you might even manage to convince Star to play.

paul is the single most untrustworthy player you have ever seen. even when he ISNT the imposter, his absolute buckwild energy just makes him seem so suspicious. he sabotages everything, and he probably seeks you out just to kill you first.

marko is probably a yellow main, and he always wears the weirdest shit available. he gives me the vibes of someone who would probably get lost a lot on the bigger maps or be the person who pretends he's lost so he has an alibi

dwayne is the one you have to watch out for. he's so good at faking you out, you never know if he's the imposter until he stabs you in the back. he won't even feel bad about it.

sidenote, dwayne lets laddie co-pilot when he plays. laddie makes the decisions, so if someone dies, it was probably not dwaynes choice. these are the rounds where you probably won't die right away.

star is a very casual player, super noncommittal. she is both good to have on your team, and awful, because she will absolutely turn on you and vote you out to save herself as a last resort. shes the only one who won't immediately seek you out to kill you.

when all of them are crewmates, its a hot mess. no one can communicate with them spamming chat, paul never does his tasks, dwayne camps on cams, and marko ABUSES the emergency call button.

The Man

rating: 8/10, actually really good???

he mains red, with the classic hockey mask.

he gets like.... a little too into planning shit. its just a game, its not that deep, pls sir–

but that makes him a very capable imposter, and hes soo good at keeping up the facade and talking with you like nothing is wrong, and before you know it, he's killed three people in the first round.

its really a toss up on whether or not he'll kill you at all in the game. if he does, he saves you til last.

there are times where he gets a little too heated if someone catches him or his teammate turns on him, and he will be fuming until the game ends and he gets to rant into chat. thats usually when you need to step in–

other than that, he's pretty chill about the whole thing. he likes to experiment with kills, like stack kills and taking advantage of glitches or hiding spots.

hes also a MASTER of sabatoge. he's so good at using those tools.

Vincent Sinclair

rating: 8/10, friendship > everything else.

likes to main white, which is interesting, because he is NOT the typical white main.

as an imposter, he's actually pretty good.

he seems like the kind of person to lead you away from everyone, and vent in front of you to let you know hes an imposter, and then ruthlessly kill everyone except for you.

most of the time he will just follow you around to make sure no one else kills you while you do your tasks.

a lot more talkative in chat than you might think, too.

Sangyeon 

They are a comforting presence for each other. Mae would trust her entire life to Sangyeon as he is someone she’s sure will never outright judge her or demand something she is not comfortable with. On the other hand, I can see him not worrying too much about her but being careful when her mood seems off, and asking what it was afterward so he’s sure she’s fine again. 

The girl usually laughs at his impersonations or weird jokes, which instantly put her into his goody list, and Sangyeon is very thankful for having someone that will hear his random rants without getting caught up in it. More often than not, you can see him standing on the sidelines, cheering for her when he’s aware she’s doing something she’s not very confident in.

Jacob

Becoming trainees at the same time might have been the best thing for them, seeing as they often struggled with the same stuff, and pushed the other through their rough times. Mae sometimes wonders where she would be if it weren’t for Jacob and his insane amount of patience. Also, their personality is very comparable and they’re both soft-spoken most of the time, deobis aren’t even surprised whenever they find out something else they have in common.

They made a habit of going to karaoke rooms before debuting as a way to both practice singing and his Korean but to also rest and have fun. After Kevin joined the company he went along as well and after they became rookies all of the members would occasionally join in on the trio.

Younghoon

Soft, just soft. Both together and for each other. When she’s around Younghoon, Mae actually becomes more clingy and he’s the only one she goes out of her way to show skinship with (back hugs are her favorite). He also gets easily entertained by her antics and likes to joke that he’s her bodyguard.

Vlive moments that usually lead to him making an unintentional innuendo and she gets embarrassed and leaves the room so she doesn’t have to explain what just happened. On that note, Mae doesn’t like helping with English that much because it usually leads the members to getting entertained by her accent, but she makes an exception to Younghoon

Hyunjae

His number one hobby is to make her embarrassed, and considering they, as well as Haknyeon, have been roommates for the longest time Hyunjae has a lot of material to share. He clings to her at every opportunity and is constantly nagging about the amount of clothes Mae has as well as the closet space they take.

Surprisingly or not, he often helps her with choreography and is overall a good listener. She’s also not that bothered by his antics and has grown comfortable enough to tell him to knock it off once she gets over them. Fans didn’t know they were as close until she answered “Hyunjae” when asked which of them she’d want as an actual brother. 

Juyeon

The “looks tough but is actually soft” duo. Over the years, he became her number one dance instructor seeing as he’s mostly calm and doesn’t really mind pulling extra hours to help her. We know how Juyeon usually babies Eric, and many fans think he’s like that to Mae as well, but on the contrary, he also prefers to be wary instead of butt in on her business. 

Having that said, when the girl shows even 1% discomfort or annoyance in general he’s the first one to step in and help her out. Mae usually feels weird that he acts like that but it usually comes in handy when the group is having a discussion and she needs someone to back her up and be on her side.

Kevin

Kevin has taken pride in being the main reason for her meme awakening. Before he arrived, Mae and Jacob were as close as friends could get, but as Kevin and the boy hit it off, Mae expected to be thrown into the sidelines. She couldn’t be more wrong, considering that he also made a lot of effort into keeping her close, thus beginning the “Kevin getting frustrated at Mae not getting his references” saga.

Lowkey, they just want to chill and listen to questionable music together. Highkey, he wants to get her to twerk with him (he’ll kiss the ground the day she does). Again, Mae is a good listener and often joins in on his random thoughts or simply goes along with whatever he’s doing.

New 

Random high note battles and both of them silently judging the others. Chanhee and Mae often fall into a cycle of complaining around but instead of tackling the matter with him she often does nothing, which makes him complain ten times harder. Objectively speaking, he’s the member who helps her the most with organizing her stuff and adulting in general.

The girl randomly drags him with her to the mall to people-watch or makes him do vlives with her just for the sake of it. For some reason, it took them a little while to find common ground but once they did, New became one of her go tos when it came to sharing struggles. On a random note, Mae thought his math tricks were an absolute scam and believed none of it until they were actually tested.  

Q 

Playfully bickering 24/7. They have many fake arguments, usually around her struggles with some choreographies and his lack of patience when it comes to teaching her. Two months after their debut he decided to let that job fall onto Juyeon and his life became a lot more fun. Around the release of Right Here he went back to randomly giving her tips but please don't leave them alone in a practice room.

When it comes to interests Changmin didn’t think they’d have many in common but after many movie nights, he was quick to find out Mae doesn’t really mind horror and thriller which made her perfect to watch them with him. She does, however, have a problem with the creepy-ass dolls and masks he buys and has sworn someday she will make a bonfire out of them.

Haknyeon 

99 babies and eternal roommates. They’re an interesting pair considering Juhaknyeon is more laid back and outgoing and Mae is - according to him -  more high maintenance. They did find common ground around the fact that they’re both foodies and 99s vlive mukbangs are a very constant thing.

Also, kind of random but he’s one of the members she would stand by without a second thought. Hak just tries his best to make any situation lively and the girl appreciates it a lot, especially when she’s having a tough time herself, so as gratitude she’s ready to fight anyone for him. 

Sunwoo 

The other person she would stand by without a problem. It doesn’t really help that Sunwoo acts like an absolute child whenever Mae is near and constantly clings to her like she’ll solve every trouble in the world (flash news, she won’t). The girl finds it kind of comical how he’s always giving her puppy eyes and just pushes his head out of the way for him to snap out of it.

Back to Younghoon when I said someone gets entertained by her accent, that is Sunwoo. He’s constantly repeating the way she says some words or asking her to help him say something, which he knows she doesn’t quite like but does it anyway. Also, not her go-to pastime, but random rap battles are always fun when they happen and they usually end up with one of them on the ground laughing. 

Eric

Aka the non-Canadian half of the English line. Also mildly entertained by her Aussie accent but doesn’t show it as often as Sunwoo. When they first met, Eric instantly decided they were going to be friends but once she figured it out it was too late and she couldn’t back down anymore (that’s what she says at least, deep down we know she enjoyed his company just as much).

Mae is the introverted friend to his outgoing self, she usually has to tell Eric to calm down because she grew tired of following him around or got very embarrassed by him randomly approaching a senior. Also worth mentioning he’s her number one hype person and has multiple times made her embarrassed by complimenting her in front of deobis or just random people. 

Former member: Hwall/Hyunjun

Fashion buddies. Mae has a habit of randomly dragging him to go shopping and they’ve got to the point of adding items into each other’s carts when they think the other might like it. They have a fun time just walking around and chatting as well, before debuting they’d often share what’s bothering them before getting ice cream to cheer up.

Due to different scheduling, it became harder to keep meeting up but Mae often does her best to sneak around into whatever he’s doing. Also, late-night phonecalls became more regular which led the members into believing she had a boyfriend before finding out it was just Mae catching up with him.

I don’t think Makoto would ever allow that. He’s the new headmaster isn’t he? And let’s be real here he’s far too precious to fall out with any of his friends once he’s made them. I don’t think we have to worry about anything there (or maybe I’m being hopeful but it would be very ooc if he did let it repeat) Also, I’m pretty sure Naegiri is lowkey confirmed isn’t it? If you recall, in the first game Kyoko says only family is worthy to see her scars... and we all know what she did in future arc.

First off... the thing that made me think of the "Ultimate" talent problem is how Danganronpa S already ends Makoto's story with him deciding he wants to become Hope's Peak staff in order to support the talented Ultimates of Hope's Peak. And that's not even getting into the Chapter 5 misdirect of DRV3 which tried to make us think that the characters were all Hope's Peak "Ultimate" students. So yeah. Obviously it's never become the huge problem in the DRS reality that it turned into in the mainline continuity, but... the groundwork is already there to potentially go down that road. :( And second, while I agree that Naegiri has been lowkey confirmed in multiple ways, I don't think they'd ever have the guts to highkey confirm it. Shippers are such a huge contingent of the DR fans that they really strive to keep things as open as possible while simultaneously hinting in certain directions very strongly. So I feel as though they'd avoid the topic in every possible way, or they'd just keep things exactly as they are for a painful amount of time. (See also: The way that Robotics;Notes DaSH revealed to us that, after more than a decade has passed since the events of Steins;Gate and the confirmation of their mutual feelings for each other, Okabe and Kurisu are somehow STILL in a love/hate will-they-or-won't-they relationship. For fuck's sake, we were HIGHKEY shown and told how they loved one another in their late teens/early 20s, and by their 30s they've still never fucking advanced. My god, it's so painful.)

Finally, I'd just advise that I've seen too many characters utterly ruined by new writers who didn't "get it" in too many different franchises to ever assume that new writers wouldn't ruin what they're given. I just... could go down a laundry list of characters who would absolutely never do "X", but then new writers came along and made them do "X" anyway, rendering them totally unrecognizable and ripping the fandom to shreds. I can't give the benefit of the doubt at this point. :( There is always plenty of opportunity for the worst to happen - for us to see our favorites do awful things that are deeply out of character (and then probably get killed off in some insulting, unceremonious fashion).

like norenmin, haechan’s name gets tossed around on the daily at NCT Highschool, except not with the same positive connotation

haehcan’s reputation isn’t the best but it could be worse

no it can’t

it’s actually really bad

everyone knows haechan to either be taking a gigantic nap in class or vaping in the bathroom. he gets into detention weekly bc the boy skips school like every other day 

the only reason why haechan hasn’t been expelled was bc he was the principal’s son 

don’t bring that up or he’ll actually cuss you out no cap

although he’s well-known, he’s only got like two friends + college-freshmen!mark lee (hA what a loser)

and one of them was currently in some type of situation with fboi!jaemin that haechan can’t be bothered to deal with –> y/n from fboi!jaemin’s au who will be further known as ara in this story

the other one was you, he liked to keep that one a little more private

it was never explicitly stated that you would maintain your sorta friendship a secret  

although could you really call it friendship if you’re doing all of the things people in relationships actually do? 

like haechan would always call you up in the middle of the night  to get boba or frozen yogurt for no reason

or sometimes yall would be cuddling in your bedroom watching some stupid movie on netflix,,,haechan would probably be throwing popcorn at the laptop screen bc of something stupid the main protagonist would do 

the other times, he would text a simple “pick me up” 

and you knew that that meant that haechan was too high or drunk to operate

there would be nights where you would be chilling in your car as haechan vaped 

you hated it 

but you could never hate lee donghyuck who now went by lee haechan 

yall met around the middle of sophomore year 

damn so much shit goes down sophomore year at NCT high

aNYways, you were stressed out from studying so you decided to take a stroll in the park at like ten at night. 

was that a stupid idea? yes, but at least that’s when you met haechan dressed in a navy green hoodie and a puff of smoke leaving his lips

sophomore!you was like highkey shookth seeing the lee donghyuck smoking in a park

bc at this time, lee donghyuck wasn’t lee haechan 

he was one of the school’s golden boys 

yeah that’s right norenmin used to be norenminhyuck or the 00′s 

he was the star of the school’s choir and the biggest class clown that still managed to get good grades

so imagine your shock when you see him with a cigarette in his hand

you figured that it was best to leave donghyuck alone since you weren’t the nosy type of person

except you weren’t that discreet in leaving when your eyes met donghyuck’s bright red ones 

you stood there for a second, both of you locked in what seemed to be staring contest, before turning to leave since it wasn’t any of your business what donghyuck was getting up to

the next day of school, donghyuck was back to his bubbly, fun self which seemed to be a drastic contrast from the one you saw at the park 

when your eyes interlocked in the hallways, donghyuck raised a finger to his lips when he was sure no one else was looking 

and you understood 

somehow you found yourself in this strange no-talking sit-downs in the park relationship with donghyuck while he smoked on the bench next to you 

this went down for a couple of weeks where the two of you would just sit in heavy silence. the only noises were the cicadas chirping in the background

until one night when donghyuck dressed in the same navy hoodie wasn’t smoking but his eyes were still red

“why haven’t you told anyone yet?” 

you shrugged “because it’s not my secret to tell” 

“you were shocked when you first saw me that night.” haechan commented 

“yeah, i just never expected it from someone like you,” you admitted

you could hear the boy next to let out a dry chuckle, “you’re not the first person i disappointed” 

“it ruins your lungs btw” 

“i know, i want it to” 

“why do you do it?” 

“because it actually makes me feel alive” 

something changed that night bc the next day donghyuck into a physical fight with the student-athlete!jeno who everyone knew was a pacifist. 

that night haechan showed up with a black eye and you didn’t ask why

donghyuck still gave you an explanation even though it was complete bs

“because he was getting on my nerves” 

but it seemed like the whole group of the golden boys was getting on his nerves bc donghyuck stopped hanging around them for the rest of the year

you saw him sometimes sitting outside on the bleachers during lunch, sleeping or smoking, not afraid to be caught 

you never had the courage to approach him in person at school, bc it seemed like your relationship was strictly limited to the park 

but you couldn’t help to be worried about him with the drastic change in character he was undergoing 

one day, he showed up to school with bright red hair and did nothing in all of his classes but take a nap 

sometimes he didn’t even show up to school 

you heard from someone that he quit choir which was shame bc you always wanted to hear him sing 

and sophomore year bled into junior year and donghyuck was no longer known as donghyuck but as haechan 

it was weird, every time you would get the urge to take a midnight stroll in the park, haechan would be sitting there on his usual bench sometimes smoking sometimes not

you always sat down next to him even if you knew that you were just going to sit there in silence

“give me your phone number,” he said bluntly holding out his hand for your phone 

“why” 

“i’m tired of waiting for you to come to the park” 

and you really confuse because does that mean that haechan wanted to be your friend??? 

as if he can read your mind, he rolls his eyes “yes, let’s be friends. you’re a lot better than those fakes in our goddamn school.” 

so that’s how your friendship began with the lee donghyuck, rebranded as haechan 

he doesn’t let anyone call him donghyuck but you,,, you still try your best not to call him that bc he doesn't like it 

gotta respect your friends’ wishes y’know

it wasn’t until haechan was over at like 2am in your room, both of you talking in small whispers bc you don’t want your parents to wake up and find you laying in bed with a BOI, that y'all reached the final level of closeness and haechan let slip one of the reason behind his reckless actions

“you know what sucks? even when i’m acting out like this, my parents still refuse to acknowledge me. it’s like they don’t care” 

and your like :((( 

“i’m pretty sure they care about you a lot,” you didn’t like the listlessly way he was talking 

“you don’t get it. when my dad saw my hair, all he told me to do was to dye it back. my mom didn’t even freak out when she saw me smoking a blunt with my friend in my room. they could care less” 

and haechan begins to spill

“even when i was achieving so much, they rarely ever bat an eye at me. do you know how hard it is to come to school and put on the facade of that i have no worries in the world? that i’m that cheery happy-go-lucky kid? even renjun is allowed to have moody days, but i’m expected to always be the mood maker. i fucking hate it.” 

you stayed silent listening to his rant 

“when jeno was complaining about how his parents invited his whole family to his stupid basketball game, i just got so angry because my parents haven’t been to one recital ever since i joined the choir. nor did they go to the science fair where i actually won first place with that stupid potato rocket i did with renjun.” 

haechan let’s out a bittersweet laugh 

“after that fight with jeno, no one asked if i was okay or why i even did it. none of them did. my dad didn’t even look at me in the eye when i went to his office, all he cared about was if the school’s basketball mvp was okay.” 

“god, i’m so numb to all of this shit. i don’t even know how to be happy anymore” 

that night you didn’t say anything to haechan bc you didn’t know what to say. but that night was the first and last night you ever saw haechan cry or that emotionally vulnerable bc the next day, he acted like it never happened 

by junior year, everyone already knew that the old donghyuck was gone and haechan was here to stay 

BUT your relationship with haechan wasn’t one-sided at all 

nooooo there were nights where you were the one crying and haechan was the one comforting you even though his advice was bs

you best bet that when haechan got his license, he dragged your ass to midnight drives to the cliff, but you would be the one to drive him home bc he probably vaped a little too much on the cliff 

despite breaking down that one night, haechan was very emotionally closed off. he didn’t smile as often as he used to in public unless it was with you

sometimes he would catch himself smiling when you said something really dumb or when he found your antics adorable, but he would never admit it and the smile would be quickly gone from his face.

your hangouts were so lowkey

one night, junior year, you were just chilling in your car with hyuck and he just leans over and kisses you. 

you could still smell the strawberry vape juice on him but you didn’t stop the kiss,,,cuz it felt nice

his lips felt like soft little cloud pillows 

and when haechan pulls away he has this little smirk on his face while you're flustered as fuck 

let’s be honest, that wouldn’t be the last time y'all locked lips 

cause it happened a lot 

especially in the car and sometimes in your room 

you can’t lie and say you don’t have any sort of feelings for haechan 

especially when you do see his real smile that he doesn’t let anyone see or when he made the effort to stop smoking cigarettes 

although you still highly disapprove of his drug usage

haechan has his own reasons for continuing to use it so as much as you try to discourage him, you don’t stop him 

you’d like to say that you’re the only girl in his life, but your not

bc you were only hyuck’s friend at night,,,he has a day friend who was also a girl who he didn’t seem to care to be seen w at school 

a really pretty (AKA y/n from jaemin’s au) one who you also saw on multiple occasion haechan flashes his breathtaking smile too 

one of your friends had gossip that that girl was ara, who was dropped by her friend group bc she was dating haechan who had beef w jaemin who was dating ara’s ex-bestfriend? confusing, yeah i thought so too. 

you knew better than to listen to stupid highschool rumors but you couldn’t help but come to your own assumptions about the closeness of their friendship 

bECause haechan never mentioned ara in any of your conversations

at lunch, you can’t but let your eyes drift to the two of them in their own world laughing away 

you only met her once when mark was dropping haechan off at your house bc he much rather be at yours then his 

you were a little bit hurt since she got to know mark before you did 

you knew that mark was one of haechan’s closest friend and someone he really respected even though he liked to bag on him 24/7

as much as you tried not to, you found yourself repeatedly comparing yourself to her 

the subject of ara was left alone, forever stored in your insecurities

you didn’t want to confront haechan about it bc you didn’t want to admit it but you caught the big bad feels for the boy

so your feelings were left untouched until senior year

when the two of you were making out in your room and haechan suddenly pulls away with wide eyes 

and he lets out an “oh fuck” 

now, you were worried 

did you somehow do something wrong? 

“ara is going to fucking kill me,” haechan muttered grabbing his phone, calling someone up 

“hey gramps, can you pick ara up? i kinda left her at school,” haechan said through the phone to someone you presume to be mark

“okay, fine i’ll bring you weed brownies and hurry up before she gives me shit tomorrow. you know how high-maintenance she gets” and he hangs up the phone, throwing it aside 

“sorry about that,” haechan says going to resume what the two of you started but you stop him

cause it hurts too much and you don’t know what the hell you are to haechan

“i can’t do this anymore, hyuck” you say in a small voice, not daring to look him in the eyes bc u know damn well that he’ll see the tears in your eyes

“what do you mean?” you could hear the worry in the voice

“this,” you gesture between the two of you “i can’t anymore” 

and haechan knows what you’re talking about 

he’s been dreading the moment,,,he could sense the end 

which is the last thing he wants

“what’s wrong?” 

you bite your lip not wanting to start breaking down in front of the boy you grew to love so much 

your heart was hurting so bad,,,but you couldn’t continue on pining over a boy that would never love you the same way 

“what am i to you, hyuck?” 

one of the things that haechan hated the most was seeing you sad 

he hated how you saying his nickname in that teary voice made his heart drop 

“you’re my friend, y/n. actually, you're my bestfriend” 

you look him in the eyes this time, but haechan wished you didn’t 

“i’d never be more than that, right?” you smiled sadly at the boy

for once in his life, haechan is rendered completely speechless 

“i think you should leave” 

he knew that he should have put up a fight 

yet he couldn’t bring himself to 

there was this pang of hurt in his chest that he couldn’t quite explain 

so he left 

he wished he didn’t 

the minute he walked out the door he felt all of the happiness leave his body,, he knew that when he walked out the door, he would never be walking back 

when he got home in his room that night, he didn’t have it in him to pick up his usual blunt or his vape pen 

instead, he flopped onto his bed staring up at his ceiling 

there was wetness on his cheeks,,,his vision was blurry,,,and his heart hurt 

he almost contemplated skipping school the next day, but he didn’t want to spend his day wallowing in his despair that he didn’t even know why he felt 

his eyes were red as fuck so he tried to play if off as if he were high because who would question it?

so that’s why he went to school with a pair of sunglasses to hide his puffy, red eyes 

he was expecting everyone to leave him alone cuz he looked like he was faded but his shithead friend ara marched over to him and pulled him away leaving behind a very confused looking jaemin

that’s probably a story i’ll hear later. he thought.

“you fucking moron,” ara exclaimed at him punching him in the arm “this is like the eighteenth time you have gone to school fucking high! get a grip man!” 

“don’t lecture me as if you weren’t talking to the parasite,” haechan huffed, rubbing his arm from the pain

damn she packed a punch 

ara squinted and haechan realized he fucked up with his fake high act 

so the girl reached out and grabbed his sunglasses much to his protest and saw his puffy eyes

“hOLY sHIt, dude were you crying?” 

haechan snatched back his sunglasses and quickly put them back on, “fuck you” 

“sorry man, what happened?” 

“i don’t even know” 

“you want a pity hug?” 

“why the fuck not” 

the thing was haechan wasn’t touchy with other girls except for you, so the hug w ara was like a bro hug 

all that awkward patting and shit

stupid haechan failed to notice that you were standing at the end of the hallway, witnessing the whole scene 

now it was clear to you that you didn’t mean shit to haechan 

you were just a girl that could make him feel less lonely in secret, nothing more 

he had no trouble displaying his relationship w ara in public 

why did he make it seem like he wanted to keep you a secret? 

you were tired of it

spinning on your heel, heart-shattering into pieces, you walked away from lee haechan for the very last time 

basically now, it was simp hours 24/7 for the both of you

even college-freshmen! mark knew something was off with his highschool weed buddy 

“dude, what’s goin on with you lately?” 

the two of them were on their regular get-high cliff except mark was the only one doing the deed, haechan was just spaced out 

“i dunno” haechan shrugged 

mark made a face that was like “if you don’t tell me i’m beating the shit out of you” 

“okay fine, y/n doesn’t want me in her life anymore,” haechan spilled the beans on the whole situation between the two of you and mark is like “and i thought i was the fucking idiot” 

haechan is like wdym bruh? 

“are you dumb, bro? like are you out of touch with your feelings or sum shit?”

“goddamn i have to do everything in this household, listen to me you little bitch boy, grow a pair and admit that you have feelings for her!”

the night of prom, you were stuck in your bed in a pair of sweats and some random oversized t-shirt scrolling through social media

to say you weren’t jealous of all the fun senior prom seemed to be was a giANT lie you could’ve just went alone!!!

honestly, even your parents were out having fun on a date night while you were being depresso espresso at home

you flopped in bed with a giant huff bc who was haechan to stop you from experiencing your highschool years! who was he to make you feel so bad that you couldn’t even go to prom! 

your phoned buzzed in your hand causing you to look down and nearly scowled at the message that was sent to you

hyuck: open up 

you ignored it, turning your attention back to that stupid rom-com you were watching on your laptop 

your phone continued to ding w messages you were sure were from haechan but you don’t want to open bc you knew that you would probably be launched into another wave of sadness and maybe even break-down cry in front of him so you turned your ringer off 

but out of nowhere, you hear this loud thud against your window 

wtf was that? alert mode on

then you hear a loud shout 

“BITCH ISTG IF YOU DON’T OPEN TF UP” 

you already knew who it was, so you contemplated on whether or not you wanted to actually confront him or run away from all of your problems (*coughs* ara *coughs* haechan)

 you didn’t get much time to think bc another thing was launched at your window

walking over you opened ur window to see below haechan on your lawn with a giant cheeky smile on his face you knew for a fact it was genuine

he only smiled like that when the two of you were bent over laughing at something stupid he or you did

aww shit here comes the sad bugs again 

“what do you want?” you say loud enough for him to hear “go to prom with me!” haechan shouts up making you and your heart flustered af 

“prom already started, you idiot” 

“then let’s dance in your room” 

as much as you knew you should have turned him away, you couldn’t

you were so in love with haechan 

the minute you open the door you were engulfed into his chest

you froze up not knowing how to react 

“don’t let me go please,” haechan says barely louder than a whisper

goDAmmit haechan’s making me tear the fuck up

“you’re the only one in my life that hasn’t left me. the only one that was willing to understand me. i know that i’m not the best guy out there, i know that i’m nothing great, but when you look at me with that stupid smile of yours i feel so god damn on top of the world.”

something wet drops on your shoulder but you don’t dare to look up at haechan’s teary eyes 

closing your eyes you fall into his chest, his familiar scent triggering tears of your own 

“i love you” he pulls away from you to look at your face for a response, your eyes meeting his shaking brown orbs 

you have to raise your head slightly up to look at him while he was looking down at you

his hair was a mess of a light pastel rainbow (we go up broski) 

that’s when you notice how red his eyes were but there was no stench of weed or alcohol on him 

lee haechan was completely sober

lee haechan wasn’t like other guys. he was lee donghyuck. he was complex and it would take you years to completely unravel him. even when you knew him for so long, you still had no idea was going through his mind. there were times where you found yourself stumped on the subject of haechan, but it was okay

luther: physics teacher, cause you know…spaceboy……everyone is scared at the beginning of the year when they get him as a teacher cause he’s TALL AND HUGE AS FUUUUUCK, but then fast forward two months later and everyone is chill because turns out he’s a really easygoing and soft teacher…just really socially awkward and lowkey dumb sometimes

asshole kids in his classes use his softness to his disadvantage and pull pranks on him constantly, poor guy….the other kids tho always tell them to shove it tho because he may be soft and dumb and socially awkward but he’S OUR SOFT AND DUMB AND SOCIALLY AWKWARD TEACHER DON’T TOUCH HIM!! the first time they protected him he had to remind himself not to tear up because HE FELT SO LOVED!!!! 

he gets them snacks even if they’re not supposed in the science classrooms because “eXPeriMENts and CHEmIcALsSsSsssSS!!!” and will rant for hours about space and starts and THE MOOOOON cause when he was a kid he always wanted to be an astronaut ( :’))))))) ) and his kids get fed up one day and go “why don’t you just make an astrology club mr luther????” and he does and IT’S A REAL SUCCESS WITH THE SCHOOL BODY YAY!!!

(five when he grows up also becomes a physics teacher and pesters luther all the time like “I AM 10 TIMES THE TEACHER YOU EVER WERE-” “NO YOU AREN’T STFU” and he’s technically wrong and right because material wise??? yes he’s 100% the better teacher and he always has answers to the kids questions and teaches them extra content cause he’s always been a genius but as a physics teacher that kids really like????? no siree that title goes to luther because he was a soft teddy bear to his students and they trusted him while five is eccentric and strict the the point where his kids are scared the FUCK out of him)

diego: pe teacher, SWEARS SO MUCH IN FRONT OF THE KIDS IN CLASS OMG HOW IS HE NOT FIRED YET?? is tough on the kids sometimes so push harder but IS ALSO SOFT AND REALLY ENCOURAGING THE KIDS TO WORK AND TRY THEIR BEST BECAUSE HE BELIEVES IN THEM!!! (except for the group of cocky assholes he’ll get in every class and don’t want to listen to them…he has personally removed their rights in the class)

whenever the self-defense unit comes around he’s sooooo dedicated to it and makes sure that the kids master everything to a t, cause who knows when it might come in handy??? he wants to make sure that the kids know how to protect themselves as the world is a shitty place and you never know when shit will go bad (except he does…he��s had enough bullshit and scared happen to him and has gotten involved in so many fights that he wants to make sure that the kids won’t hurt like him :“’))))))))) )

allison: either school counselor or principal i can’t decide because she can be super kind and open to talk and gives advice that helps a LOT but she’s also a hbic THAT CAN AND WILL run the place. 

anyways, whatever job she has, she also helps with the drama club and school plays, and literally every year the theatre kids BEG HER to kick out the current drama teachers and replace them because allison>>>>>>>>>>>> all of the existing drama teachers there  

ben: is either a literature or philosophy teacher. super smart and knowledgable but is also really laid back and fun to talk to. he’s got a dark and snarky sense of humor and his students always have sass battles with him. the number of INSANE inside jokes his students and him share is HUGE.

HE DEMANDS THAT HIS STUDENTS PARTAKE IN READING TIME IN THE BEGINNING OF CLASS NO MATTER WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO BECAUSE READING IN AN IMPORTANT SKILL AND HOBBY FOR DEVELOPMENT AS A READER, WRITER, LEARNER, AND OVERALL PERSON AND NO AMY DON’T ROLL YOUR EYES AT ME I’M THE TEACHER HERE AND I SAID NO ELECTRONICS SO PUT THE GODDAMN PHONE AWAY BEFORE I COME OVER THERE AN-

anyways…he is really considerate to what students need and makes them as relaxed as possible because school is HELL. students LOOOOOVE HIM. HE’S THE ONE TEACHER BESIDES DAVE THAT LITERALLY EVERYONE LIKES. (highkey inspired by my philosophy and lit teachers because they’re also really smart but sassy and cool like ben and I JUST THINK THEY’RE NEAT)

vanya: strings orchestra teacher for obvious reasons. she was real shy at first when she first got hired but the the strings department at that time was soooo small and crappy that she went “oh HELL no,” rolled up her sleeves, and set to revitalize it just because she cares about music so much.

she recruited more students, got more advanced music so the kids could feel a challenge and be motivated to improve, and collaborated with the choir and band departments to provide more clubs, events and opportunities outside of class for kids to do music.

she is a no business type of teacher when it comes to arrogant people that put other players down or people who don’t practice and goof around and will snap at them SO HARD because everyone needs to be at their a game for a concert and in an orchestra no single person is bigger that the collective. she’s however SOOOO SOFT with really soft playing and shy kids because she understands how it feels when you think your playing isn’t good enough, so gives them extra help, gives them solo lines or solos to play so they gain more confidence in themselves, all while constantly giving encouraging words about how much they’ve improved that always makes them feel better and more motivated to improve.

she’s an absolute anxious and cranky maniac a week before the concert but she throws parties with food, drinks, and games afterwards to celebrate with her kids. she constantly gets them to play music related games and challenges that they do as a class for team bonding to make things more entertaining in class. she makes dumb music puns a lot too! 

she also will in the class say crazy stories of her childhood and the crazy shit she and her siblings did and then somehow always relate it back to the lesson and make it some sage advice…the kids never understand how she does it

she always has a smile on her and everyone LOVES HER…..except for the administration that always want to get her fired because they are assholes and they think she’s too weird to stay. however, every time they try to fire her, a certain teacher comes by the office for what they claim is a civil discussion...and after an hour of yelling, death threats, and the door getting 10 knife marks they go “you know what grace…you can stay" 

those assholes are persistant though, and one time though not even a certain teacher could get them away from firing her so once the news breaks out that nurse grace is leaving the whole school is FURIOUS and throws a 1 week riot and the administration get so scared and tired that they just go "OK WERE SORRY JUST KIDDIN- OK OK SHE’S STAYING FOR GOOD JESUS”

Riverdale Can’t Develop Relationships Rant

Ok so this is going to be long, sorry for that.

Choni (Cheryl/Toni)

• Don’t get me wrong, I like Choni and I think it’s good that Cheryl has someone who loves her but this relationship lowkey came out of nowhere.

• Lets review: they have a few very short conversations (if you can even call them that) in which Cheryl says something rude, Toni says something along the lines of ‘I know you’re acting mean for a reason’ and Cheryl basically responds with ‘I’m popular, totally fine, and totally straight ha ha ha 👀’. Other than that they don’t really spend much time together until the Love Simon scene.

• The Love Simon scene: so, Cheryl is outside this theater and is going to see the movie when Toni shows up and offers to see it with her. Cheryl accepts, which is odd because up to that moment Cheryl had been pretty clear about how she felt about Toni and the serpents. There’s really no reason for Toni to want to spend time with Cheryl either, they didn’t know each other well and all their previous interactions were unfriendly.

• (Toni highkey just wanted to get into Cheryl’s pants, but that’s a story for another time).

• (Also was Cheryl planning to go see Love Simon alone?? she was going to sit there, in the back, completely alone and in the closet and return home from just crying in a theater by herself?? That was her frickin Saturday night plan)

• After the movie they go to Pop’s and Cheryl comes out to Toni which partly doesn’t make sense. I realize Cheryl was emotional that night and she didn’t have friends to come out to, but why would she come out to this random serpent of all people? Did she know Toni is bi, and if so, how? It seems very odd to me that Cheryl would out herself to a gang member she saw ONE movie with.

• Once Cheryl comes out, Toni calls Cheryl sensational. Remember how I said earlier that Toni wanted in Cheryl’s pants? Well, here’s an example of that. THEY HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR LIKE LESS THAN A MONTH. There is no way Toni could know if Cheryl is sensational or not, though it was a nice thing to say.

• Also it was kind of a weird thing to say. Sensational?? To some random north side redhead that made ur gaydar ping? Really Toni?

• Anyways, they have some flirting moments which are actually pretty cute, Toni saves Cheryl from conversion therapy (damn Toni gets attached real quick) and they seem genuinely good for each other but the premise of how they get together is weird.

• They go from 0-100 in a very short period of time. Over the course of a few episodes (maybe a month or so in Riverdale time) they go from being lowkey rivals to sending heart eyes at each other and we haven’t seen a lot of screen time between them since the show deleted a lot of their scenes. Them deleting the scenes makes no sense because they could’ve easily fit them into the episodes and it would have made Choni seem a lot more developed, but nO.

• Cheryl becomes a serpent near the end of season 2 which I kind of understand more than SOME people in that gang (ahem, Archie) but still, Cheryl has hated the Serpents for most of her time on Riverdale and now she’s one of them. It makes little to no sense. She wouldn’t have joined if it weren’t for Toni and again, she’s only been dating Toni for maybe a month or so?

• Either way I guess the Cheryl Hating the Serpents storyline is dropped now, so thanks for the inconsistency Riverdale.

Bughead (Jughead/Betty)

• WHERE DO I EVEN START WITH THIS SHIP OH MY GOD THE WRITERS HAVE TURNED IT INTO A DUMPSTER FIRE!

• ok, let me rephrase

• So if u watch the show u definitely know bughead since it’s the most popular ship in the show. They’re also the Ship of Going to the Extremes.

• If I go in depth about this it’s going to be way too long so I’m just going to list how Bughead evolved over these two seasons: it starts with Jughead and Betty being cute, Jughead climbs in her room and calls her Juliet, wears this tux and smiles at her, and they do normal teenage first relationship stuff. Then shit gets crazy.

• Season one is relatively tame to be honest. They seem a little too into each other for a couple that had been dating for about a month or two, but whatever they’re 16 and I can understand getting overly invested in each other when you’re young like that.

• It’s a very rushed relationship. In the first and second episode Betty has a crush on Archie, cries about him, seems heartbroken when he says he only thinks of her as a friend. By like the seventh episode (there were only 12-13 episodes in the season, I’m sure, so Bughead happened within ten episodes) she has completely forgotten Archie (who she liked for years and had been previously been best friends with, though she barely hangs out with him in current episodes) and is kissing Jughead.

• As per usual, Riverdale takes Bughead from 0-100 in the blink of an eye and competely changes how they act.

• For the whole first season Jughead actively does not want to join the Serpents and is very clear about that. However, at the end of season 1 he gets a Serpent jacket and all that changes. While Jughead is off doing this, Betty is being the typical ‘girl next door’ and has that crush (but lmao, they ditched that storyline too sO). There’s one episode where this football player, Chuck Clayton, lies about Veronica giving him a Sticky Maple (some Riverdale sexual act, put the dots together yourself) and so to get revenge B & V decide to tie him up in a hot tub and burn him until he admits what really happened on the date, while filming. This gets weird very quick because Betty shows up in a black wig and lingerie and says that ‘Betty couldn’t make it’ (Taylor Swift is sueing), then once Chuck confesses she tries to drown him, pours maple syrup on him, calls him Jason, and tells him to apologize to Polly.

• so instead of Bughead staying the cute relationship it is in season one the show makes them bring out the worst in each other and act like they’ve been dating for years. They’re obsessed with each other. It’s kind of unhealthy, they literally make each other worse.

• Jughead becomes the Serpent King and Betty becomes his Serpent Queen, despite having little to nothing to do with the south side besides her connection with Jughead.

• yep, another Riverdale gf joining the Serpents for their significant other

• They’ve also only been dating for a short while and go from being two damaged, trying their hardest teenagers to two gang leaders (Jughead literally skins a woman) and it seems they just keep going further and further which each other, increasing all the dangerous crap they can do.

• How did they get to this point? No one knows. A couple kisses and some longing looks quickly turns into this crazy ass gang relationship where they both do terrible things and the other is completely okay with it.

• Betty does this Serpent initiation dance in front of a bunch of old men and her mom, it’s very sexual and she’s in her underwear on a pole. She also starts wearing her Dark Betty (black wig and lingerie outfit from when she tried to drown someone) to bed with Jughead and briefly becomes a cam girl.

• Season 1 Betty would never do this

• They totally change both of their season one personalities to help fit the plot and are suddenly ready to do absolutely anything for each other, despite the fact that Betty had a HUGE CRUSH on Archie about 3-5 months ago

• If Jughead kills someone, Betty will be there to cover it all up and wash the blood away, previous storylines and character development be damned

Varchie (Veronica/Archie)

• I honestly don’t have much to say about these two because while they’re underdeveloped, they aren’t the most underdeveloped couple on the show and actually have some good moments together

• But anyways, the show starts when Veronica comes to Riverdale. Archie sees her at Pop’s and immediately likes her (they end up kissing in a closet at a party early in season one) and every viewer can tell that they’re going to date because it’s just so obvious. He has heart eyes from the moment he sees her. Veronica seems to like him too but she holds off for like two seconds because of her best friend (? not really, B & V don’t interact ?) Betty.

• Most season 1 relationships are fairly wholesome tbh.

• Yes, they have their drama because it’s Riverdale but no one is doing anything too drastic yet

• Archie is a COMPLETE fuckboy for the first season. For a lot of the season he dates this teacher, Ms. Grundy, and they have these sex scenes that I guess are supposed to make us think a teacher/student relationship is cool? Which, no. She tells him to stay away, he won’t leave her alone, and eventually Ms. Grundy has to leave to go screw other students/get choked out. So Archie moves on. He dates Valerie (one of the forgotten Pussycats, don’t worry u don’t need to know her name since Riverdale will give her zero screen time) for a hot minute and I forget why they broke up but I remember she throws a drink in his face so that happens. He also kisses Cheryl one time but isn’t really into it. When Bughead starts dating he throws weird jealousy looks their way even though he said he only liked Betty as a friend, it’s clear this dude can’t make a decision.

• Surprise, surprise, in season 2 this all changes and Archie starts making decisions. Which isn’t exactly a bad thing, but he becomes very committed to Veronica (again, keep in mind he’s only known her for about 3-6 months)

• Suddenly he’s ready to become hubby material and meets her dad, who he has a weird relationship with. Veronica’s dad is in the mob or something and Archie kind of joins his business (he’s like an unpaid, crazy intern) and runs around doing whatever Mr. Lodge asks him to. He’s a total obedient puppy. He makes promises to risk his life protecting Veronica, runs after a robber who stole something from her (possibly a necklace, idk I haven’t watched that episode in a while) even though literally everyone tells him not to and that it’s dangerous, gets kidnapped by her old (boy)friend, and says I love you first.

• Not all of these are bad changes but they’re sudden, out of the blue changes. He goes from kissing like 4 (?) girls and being jealous over Bughead to being totally committed to Veronica over the course of a few weeks. Seriously, it’s like at the end of season 1 he’s kinda fuckboy Archie and then in season 2 he’s willing to throw himself in front of a truck to protect her.

• Throughout this Veronica lowkey joins the mob or something. The show isn’t very clear about what’s going on with her family, except that it’s bad and Veronica goes from not really wanting to be in it to wanting to run the business to just wanting to be a normal family again. It’s very on and off.

Other Relationships (do I really need to name them, they’re so in the background that I literally can not remember who’s with who outside of the core four and Choni)

• Kevin gets to kiss a couple guys in the show, one of them being Moose. What’s going on with Moose? I can’t remember if he’s out or not but since they’re kissing in the season 3 promo I guess something is happening with them. I don’t really know because throughout the whole show they’ve gotten like 1-4 min of screen time. I feel like the show is going to have them kiss randomly (no one really knows what’s going on with them so any kissing between them is already kind of underdeveloped) and not talk about it for the rest of the season

• ARE REGGIE AND JOSIE A THING OR NOT? They flirted (weird because they’ve never spoken to each other in the show before then) and a lot of people shipped/still do ship them but we haven’t seen much from them. What was the point of having them flirt if you’re not going to do anything with it, writers??

• BETTY AND CHERYL: they’re relatives and while sometimes they’re nice to each other, other times they’re just terrible with each other. They’ll go from smiling and being friendly to arguing and hating one another within seconds. Betty actually blackmails Cheryl with her brother’s murder video (more evidence of Bughead changing each other) in one episode but there’s been episodes before/after that where they seemed friendly together.

• BETTY AND VERONICA: take this romantic or platonic, which ever way u want, but they screwed over this pairing. The first 3 episodes they’re calling each other BFFs and saying how they need each other in their lives and then they just kind of... ditched each other. They barely interact and when they do they’re arguing, which is very different from how Season 1 was.

Conclusion:

• Riverdale DOES NOT know how to gradually change someone’s actions/personality or how they interact with friends/significant others. For a lot of the characters their season 1 selves are almost completely different people from their season 2 selves.

One day, Ginchiyo reveals to Naotora that she’s been exchanging letters with an anonymous pen pal for a couple of months now, and how even though she thought the idea was dumb at first, the highlight of her week has started becoming hearing back from the other person

“hold on, you don’t know who they are?” “nah I just saw an ad in the paper and figured I’d give it a try” “that is so dangerous on so many levels” “I’m pretty sure they’re not a serial killer”

You can see where this is going

Okuni, Kai, and Kunoichi all high-key ship Aya and Ginchiyo. They have an after-hours betting pool running out of Okuni’s office that updates on the daily based on Aya and Ginchiyo's interactions

Turns out, Aya is Ginchiyo's anonymous pen pal, and their letters are quickly beginning to get more and more personal. Finally, they decide that they should set up a time and place to meet in person, because isn't it wonderful that they have so much in common?

When the date comes, Ginchiyo and Naotora go out to lunch again

After several more hours of Ginchiyo's asking, Naotora agrees to come along as her failsafe and bail her out if something goes horribly wrong

Meanwhile, Aya and Koshosho are having the same conversation, although Koshosho is more upset that she just didn't think this up for herself

"you don't know their name?" "no" "you don't know what they look like?" "no" "you don't know their gender?" "that's not a problem" "fair enough"

Okuni can tell that Aya is on edge about something and tries to get what out of her, but subtlety is not her strong suit bless her heart. Aya is able to escape further interrogation and head for the meeting place ahead of Ginchiyo

Not one to be deterred, Okuni starts interrogating Ginchiyo before she can get out the door. One thing leads to another and Okuni accidentally lets the existence of the betting pool slip, although she doesn't say what exactly it's on. Ginchiyo winds up getting the impression that she was only hired for Okuni's entertainment and storms out before Okuni can smooth things over

The plan is for them to meet up at a local cafe, where Aya will be wearing a blue rose so that Ginchiyo can tell it's her. Aya chose the cafe because it's owned by Nene and Aya has worked out the exact same arrangement with her that Ginchiyo worked out with Naotora

Aya being Aya gets there early and, while waiting around for her "dear friend", starts to drink since she's feeling nervous

When Ginchiyo and Naotora walk in, Naotora sees Aya wearing the blue rose first and goes through about five different mental variations of "abort abort abort" in the span of two seconds. However, she can't communicate this to Ginchiyo in time, and Ginchiyo's evening immediately goes from unpleasant to "you have to be kidding me"

Naotora encourages Ginchiyo to give it a chance anyway since "you got along fine with her when it was letters, so maybe just don't look at her face!"

Aya, however, is now several drinks in and does not take kindly to Ginchiyo seemingly stalking her beyond work to a restaurant and barging in on her table

Ginchiyo goes on the defensive immediately, things escalate, and when Aya lets slip that she's supposed to be on a blind date, Ginchiyo tangents off on one of Naotora's horror stories about what an easy way to get murdered that is. By this point, both Naotora and Nene are trying to step in and cool them down

Ginchiyo leaves after realizing that Aya has been drinking, and Naotora doesn't feel comfortable with being the one to tell Aya about the miscommunication. As a result however, Aya winds up staying at the cafe until closing, thinking that her "dear friend" abandoned their date after walking in and seeing her with Ginchiyo

The next morning, Ginchiyo is obviously feeling pretty shitty about what happened with Aya and lowkey goes into panic mode when Koshosho informs her that Aya called in sick (which never happens)

Ginchiyo, internally: “fuck what if I broke Aya”

She finds out from Koshosho where Aya lives and leaves after work to go and apologize to Aya

Kenshin lets Ginchiyo in, not realizing that this is the unnamed coworker Aya is always ranting about. When Ginchiyo walks into her room, Aya immediately jumps to the conclusion that Ginchiyo came here to see if she was really sick so that she could report Aya for lying. Aya immediately starts trying to get ready for work so Ginchiyo can’t have the opportunity

“where’s my shoe?” “why would I know where your shoe is” “you’re hiding it from me, aren’t you?” “no” “you can’t lie to me!” “I’m not”

Since Aya is actually sick, she tires out fairly quickly and Ginchiyo is able to get her back into her bed. Before Ginchiyo leaves, she gives Aya what she originally came by to do - ice cream, saying that she remembered Aya mentioning her favorite flavor at work (although it actually came up in their letters)

This throws Aya off long enough for Ginchiyo to apologize for the night before, although she’s still too nervous to admit that she’s Aya’s “dear friend”. Instead, she makes up a story about meeting a man outside the cafe (who accidentally winds up bearing a large resemblance to Kenshin), who told Ginchiyo that he had planned to meet Aya but was going to have to stand her up because of a work conflict. Ginchiyo makes sure to emphasize that he seemed “really sorry” and that “he” said he would write her a formal apology.

She also notices that she and Aya are reading the same book (probably some sort of classic lit that Aya never would have expected Ginchiyo to be familiar with), and they wind up having a really engaging conversation about it

After Ginchiyo leaves, Aya is highkey in shock that she enjoyed their conversation. She tries to write a letter about it to “dear friend”, but winds up accidentally addressing it to Ginchiyo instead

Aya, internally: “oh no”

Ginchiyo immediately tells Naotora about everything that happened, and halfway through comes to her realization that she has feelings for Aya. 

“why are you smirking Naotora” “no reason >;)”

at the same time, Koshosho is telling Aya about the amazing woman she randomly met the other night (not saying she’s No but she’s definitely No). After seeing what random chance was able to do for Koshosho, Aya decides to give her friendship with Ginchiyo another chance

lucky for them both, it’s the holiday season, so they wind up working together pretty much every day to get as many sales as possible. Turns out Aya and Ginchiyo are unstoppable when they combine their powers of persuasion and making women question their sexuality

finally, Christmas Eve arrives and Aya decides to invite Ginchiyo to celebrate with her and Kenshin. The shop empties out as No arrives to take Koshosho on their first official date, Okuni treats Kunoichi and Kai to dinner, and Naotora leaves with her family. 

Aya and Ginchiyo are left to close up, and as they’re leaving, Aya accidentally drops the package that she had intended to mail her “dear friend” for Christmas. Ginchiyo feels bad that she didn’t think to do the same thing, and before she can think, she blurts out that anyone would probably fall in love with Aya for that if they hadn’t already before

cue their hands brushing as they both reach to pick it up and snow starting to fall

"you know Ginchiyo, I really wish that I could have gotten to know this side of you sooner”

“you did”

Ginchiyo takes out the very first letter that Aya wrote to her and starts reading

Aya realizes there’s only one way that Ginchiyo could have that letter

“I was hoping that it was you”

whats different about rise of the isle of the lost!uma compared to descendants 2! uma? /never read the books

          screaming   !   i could rant about this for days   !   rise of the isle of the lost is what gave me muse for her in the first place , despite the trailer   &   first sneak peak already being released when rise came out , because it’s   SO   different . so the main premise of rise of the isle of the lost is essentially triton’s trident washes onto the isle of the lost due to unimportant explained reasons   &   uma goes looking for it ofc , with harry   &   gil .   (   also , sidenote , if anyone rps one of the three i would say it’s a   SUPER   important read , because it explains the trio’s backstory of being friends a bit , mal   &   uma’s original rivalry as kids , uma’s lack of skill at actually being a pirate djfklsfjd , uma   &   ursula’s relationship ,   &   uma also lowkey murders a catcaller so i mean Legends Only what other reason do you need to read    —   &   by murder i mean threatens because it’s targeted towards kids , but all of us adults know he’s dead . this is also the reason i don’t think uma   &   mal actually ever dated outside of   MAYBE   a crush , considering the rivalry started at ten years old but .   BUT I DIGRESS   .   )

          you can immediately tell in the novel uma’s not evil , i highkey don’t even think she identifies as such   ??   she’d probably call herself neutral if you asked . i believe uma has maybe TWO   lines at most of saying   “   revenge on auradon   ”   ect . both of which are in   PUBLIC   , meaning again , it’s all an   act   when her real plan is to just get off the isle for a better life . upon hearing the rumors the trident somehow washed up on the isle her   IMMEDIATE   reaction is   ❝   a thing like that could change her life . if uma could get her hands on it , it would mean she wouldn’t have to stay here at the fish shop , slinging the house bilge   &   pouring drafts of slime .   ❞   so you can tell she’s not evil like right off the bat . chapter six or whatever .   &   that’s also when i fell in love with her . oops .

          you also get to see the three interacting when they’re alone .   &   UMA’S NOT QUEEN OF THE ISLE YET   , there’s no act she really has to keep up until she’s rallying   harry’s   pirate crew   (   uma becomes captain in this book due to a damn boat race , the crew was originally harry’s ofc   )   . they consider each other actual friends   DESPITE   how taboo that is on the isle . you get to see that harry’s dramatic - ness is all an act too as he has a super vulnerable scene where he’s calling out for help from his friends during a panic attack   &   he’s just overall less dramatic when he’s alone with his friends , how soft gil really is despite trying to appear strongest on the isle [ SPOILER ] as he is able to put together ursula’s shattered necklace , how uma just wants a better life . none of those three are scared to show each other that . uma’s not   ANGRY   yet . she harbors a grudge   &   resentment against mal of course , because of the emotional abuse implied in the book . [ SPOILER ] like mal throwing birthday parties on uma’s birthday just so no one will go to hers , how mal labelled her a weakling of an isle   (   which is why my uma blames mal irrationally for the trauma you can read about in my headcanons page , but don’t really want to trigger anyone rn if possible .   )   my uma actually tried to move on until mal made it her mission to   destroy   uma , like uma was   TEN   , mal was   TEN   . you also see it’s implied uma wasn’t always a pirate , how i write her it’s actually more recent compared to the other pirates . she is shown she knows   NOTHING   about ships or sailing . she’s legit just good for the plan   &   bossing people around imo . she was always an octopus - sea witch first   &   foremost .

          my uma has sworn off hope since her traumatic event . four years of being complacent   &   hopeless .   rise   of the isle of the lost is literally referring to uma’s hope rising . her plan is   GOOD   compared to the plan in descendants two . throughout the whole book her hope is growing   &   growing , she’s almost   happy   for once tbh . [ SPOILER ] she literally gets her hands on the trident for a few moments before mal uses a time reverse spell so the four   +   ben retrieve it before uma .   THIS COMPLETELY BREAKS HER   . she feels stupid for hoping   &   trusting  again . any shred of sanity she had left is   GONE   . which makes her   SO DESPERATE   in descendants two . again , uma isn’t shown to be queen yet in rise of the isle , meaning she takes over   AFTER   the book , thus she does this because this is her   one way   to make the best of the situation she’s forced to live . this way she won’t be taken advantage of ever again .   (   never mind the whole isle still thinks she’s weak , so imagine how hard that was to make an entire island bow down to you without the fear of your mother backed behind you aka how many people did she murder   ??   )  . 

          uma delves into this desperate darkness after . she’s still not evil , but she’s willing to do more hostile , darker things to get what she wants . like , uma … taking a hostage when she’s been a helpless hostage herself   ??   sounds Fake before the trident incident . you can tell she’s also starting to push her friends away ,   ❝   no one’s looking out for me . it’s just me .   ❞   —   says uma looking directly where harry’s standing . harry has   ALWAYS   been there for her . why would she say this if she wasn’t trying to distance herself   ??   she doesn’t want her friends to turn out like her ,   &   how does she do that   ?   cutting them out .

          another change we see is uma’s reaction to ben’s offer . my uma only asks for the wand because her goal is still to get off the isle , she’s still not going to rain evil down on auradon . ben literally offers her exactly what she wants , but she still turns him down because she will   never   trust another person in the world at this point . of course , she already wouldn’t trust him to an extent because he’s the king of auradon   &   she’s a vk , but like … if this happened before she lost the trident , she would’ve eventually gave him the benefit of the doubt   —   but not anymore . again , all hope   &   trust has left her body . she’s physically incapable of it at this point .   she has to do this on her   OWN   , because she can’t trust anyone else to help her .

          also , a Cool sidenote . this is all a contributing factor to why she still declined ben to come to auradon despite giving his ring back . she hates what she’s become   &   doesn’t think she deserves the chance right now . after a while though , i believe she’d figure out who she is again , miss her friends ,   &   head back to auradon .

          ANYWAYS , this is why i’ll always prefer rise   !   uma to d2   !   uma . descendants two uma isn’t who she really is   &   she knows it . honestly if i never read the novel i wouldn’t have muse for uma .

hey, thanks for the asks! and thank you! i had the idea for these asks spinning in my head all day, so i thought, why not post them? anyways, here goes:

edit: i probably went waaaay overboard on these, but i felt the need to rant. 

1. how did you start shipping michemil? 

when i started shipping michemil, i was very lowkey about it. i thought they were very cute, yes, but not my favorite ship. i tried not to get too invested in them because they didn’t get much screen time. they’re a rare pair. that plan obviously did not work out at all. idk when my obsession became highkey. it was probably when i saw them in episode twelve, but i cannot remember for sure. all i know is that when it did, ohh boy, i was hooked. i spent days straight building up a collection of fan art of them on instagram. i even made this tumblr bc i just...needed more. i created a pixiv account just to get fan art of these two. even an ao3 for fanfiction. i just...love them so much. i’ve been obsessed for months now, and i wouldn’t change a thing. looking at fan art/fic of these two honestly makes me so happy. and knowing that there are people out there that love them as much as i do makes me even happier.

2. what is the most underrated ship, in your opinion?

hmm. i could honestly go a lot of ways with this. i can think of (at least) three underrated ships, but it may just be me being trash. i was honestly gonna go leoji for this, but leoji is actually way more popular than i realized it was (god bless, i love them so much). and then i was gonna say either jjbella or michemil (surprise, surprise). so i think i’ll make a few comments about both, bc i can’t decide.

now, let me just state that jjbella is not my otp. but i do ship them, and i think that they deserve better as a pairing. a lot of people called isabella a bitch and stuff when she first appeared, but then they were all like ‘no, i love her!’ in episode eleven. jj is so sweet towards her, calling her his ‘precious girlfriend,’ and then announcing he will marry her once he wins. and then everyone got pissy bc of the comments she made about yurio’s fans. but in episode eleven, that’s when she really shined. jj was at his lowest point, and she still cheered and clapped for him. it proved that she loves jj for jj--she doesn’t love him only at his highest point. she is supportive of him no matter what, and i think that’s beautiful. (the picture of them in the new banquet art is so cute btw.) they get more love now, yes, but i still think they are underrated.

okay, i’m gonna start off by saying that i’m not saying they’re the most underrated bc of my obvious obsession for them. i think they’re underrated for a lot of reasons, actually. michele and emil are considered a rare pair, i believe. vikturi and otayuri are obviously the most popular ships, but after them come ships like seungchuchu, leoji, saramila, etc. out of those ships alone, i see the least michemil. but why? one of the reasons i love them so much is because of their personality contrasts. like, compare them to leoji. leo and guang hong are both pure, sweet boys. they’re a lot alike. michele and emil are opposites in almost every way, and i love that. emil making michele smile gives me life, okay. like i really need this in season two. please. mickey smiles are beautiful. (and flustered michele!!! oh boy!!!) also, their protectiveness over each other is super adorable. (michele’s reaction when emil falls during skating, emil coming to the rescue after mickey screams bc yuuri hugged him, etc.) like, especially considering the fact that the only person michele has ever been close to/wanted to protect was sara. i get it, they are minor characters. that is a main reason they aren’t as popular. but why else? i cannot think of a flaw in this ship. their relationship has flaws, yes, but every relationship does. i could go on forever and ever on why this ship deserves more love, but this is getting long, so i’ll stop here.

3. have you ever written fanfiction/drawn fan art of michemil? would you consider it?

alright, lemme just say that i suck at art. i have tried for years and still haven’t made progress. so no to the fanart. however, i do actually write a lot! i haven’t finished any michemil works yet, but i do have a few in progress. once i do finish them, they will be on my ao3! (you can find me here) i’ll also post the links on tumblr. i’m over 2k on a (hopefully) cute little one-shot with michemil (ft. saramila) that i’m really excited to finish. michemil is honestly super fun to write about, and the lack of fanfic for them is saddening. i’m just nervous bc i’m not sure if people will like my writing or not...

4. what’s your favorite canon moment of michemil?

ohhhh boy, how am i supposed to choose just one? i mean, there aren’t many, and all of them are a blessing. so i’m just gonna go with my top two bc i’m indecisive. 

the first one is at the end of episode nine during the hugging spree. yuuri hugs michele, and when he screams, emil comes running to his rescue. (plus, when they were holding onto each other afterwords, i wanted to scream)

and then there’s that beautiful photo from episode twelve. michele has tears in his eyes while he’s laughing, and emil has his arm around him and is all smiley and i was F R E A K I N G  O U T bc !!!!!!!!!! 

like these are the only two moments i can recall where mickey lets someone be close to him that isn’t sara. like that is some love right there. he loves emil so much and is too dense to realize his (and emil’s!) feelings. like i’m still shook.

well, i hope i got all my points across, and that i didn’t forget anything! i often forget things and then remember them later, but i spent almost an hour doing these, so i think i got everything.

lowkey a rant but something also something that’s highkey so ANNOYING.

after seven years of being friends/sister, i was able to FINALLY convince my dad to let me meet up with her in real life. when we first met, it was through a mutual, and basically, before we knew it, we became literal sisters. we are like fam. like ACTUALLY. 

ANYWAYS, i was able to finally convince my dad and he said that all i need is to have her full name and address as well as her grandma’s (since her mom lives in a different country) just in case something were to happen to me. it was all cool and stuff but only that M’s grandma didn’t know about me going to germany, hence the reason why i wasn’t able to obtain grandma’s info until later. it was cool, i could’ve waited like 2 months for M to tell her grandma, etc. but unfortunately, because M’s mom made a mistake, M had no place to live in for three months (her mom sends her money to live in germany). this complicates things because M basically has no money and can’t live with grandma which means i won’t have a place to stay. fortunately for N, she is going to go to italy where her boyfriend (idk if i would use that but basically its a guy who she is in a relationship with) is. he has a friend who could hook them up with his villa, only 300-350 euros a month... THATS A FUCKING GOODASS DEAL. 

anyways, M will stay in Italy for three months. when the three months are over though, she may or may not return to germany... it could be possible that she will stay in italy LONGER than the original three months because when she returns to germany, there won’t be a place for her to stay. if she does stay there during summer break when i go meet her, we may or may not be able to meet....

yes we meet: if my dad is cool about her being in italy, i can go. M’s partner (yeah, i think i’ll just call the person she is in relationship with “partner”) actually said that i can stay with them during the summer. if all works out smoothly, which i pray to god it will, then i’m off to wherever M is located at.

no we can’t meet: this is what will most likely end up happening... my dad will say no and go shit crazy (not literally, i’m just gassing it LOL). i will have to lie about M’s partner because my dad will be like BOYS NO THAT’S NOT OK because in his eyes, i’m still a child. tbh, i don’t have any problem about “lying” about M’s partner because it’s not like i really care about him?? i haven’t even talked to him LOL but he’s chill so it’s all good. i will tell dad that M’s partner is her “cousin” and just tell dad that we will be staying at the “cousin’s” place. this actually might be passable, not gonna lie, but i just need dad to be ok with me going to italy instead of germany. tbh, if my dad says i can’t go to italy, that would make on sense because it’s not like i’ve ever been to germany, or any place where i don’t have any relatives there. 

if i can’t meet M this upcoming summer, i’ll really be bummed out to the max. like this will be SLUMPED x100000. honestly i don’t think my dad realizes that the relationship i have with M is more important than the friends i have right now (she is literally the one and only person i can rely on emotionally and mentally). additionally, if i get to leave during the summer, i get to start fresh - meet new people, new air, etc. it’s literally me leaving behind all this baggage and going on vacation. as a person whose always at home, on the computer and finding ways to desperately waste time, i feel like this will be a big change and a huge step towards getting to know more about me as well as doing things that i genuinely WANT TO DO. 

ugh its literally so annoying that my dad doesn’t understand because my mum is like: you got money? you got dates? place to stay? plane ticket? ok have fun. i hate to bring this up but honestly, THAT SEXISM IS REAL (this my way of arguing that it’s not fair that my dad still views me as his baby girl LOL). 

on a more serious note tho, if i don’t get to meet M, something that I have been mentioning for seven years and NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY AT ALL DURING THOSE SEVEN YEARS, imma flip ma shit UGH.
