this part was so cute in todays gmm, and their big smiles after link says that he does like rhett. and the way link stops everything he’s doing to look at rhett and say that- 🤭 i’m so delusional
This is a REALLY random question but: I saw your reply to Neil Gaiman's post saying Aziraphale likes Sondheim. You mention the song "I Do Like You," which was cut from A Funny Thing Happened. Just out of curiosity, what versions of it have you heard? In my experience, barely anyone knows about the song at all, and the most accessible versions are sung/redone by other artists. The closest "original" version of it I could find was on a record of Sondheim music from the 80s, which I had to resort to after the ONLY upload of this specific version of the song was taken off YouTube for unknown reasons. (It has since been reuploaded, but for how long, who knows?)
Hope you don't mind my long, rambling question! Just excited to see another Sondheim fan.
I first found the song in one of the Stephen Sondheim Songbooks, back in the 90s. I'd never heard a recording at that time. The first I heard it was in college during a Sondheim revue and that was over 20 years ago. If the one you're referring to from the 80s is this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=311JOv6nzN4 That was probably the first recording I ever heard. I'm glad it's on YT.
It's one of those tunes that I can't believe hasn't been added into the revivals or even the smaller productions (two college productions I've seen didn't include it).
And it would be perfect for Good Omens.
Feel free to write about Sondheim whenever you like :-)
stuck between "psychological horror statement" and "objectively the funniest thing you could say to your real flesh and blood dad" in the father's day card aisle
this is your random reminder to CHECK IF YOU'RE STILL HAVING FUN
are you enjoying scrolling tumblr? watching youtube? reading that book? playing that game? drawing that art? doing that activity? if not,
YOU CAN STOP AND DO SOMETHING ELSE
you don't have to stick to something that you are doing for fun if it isn't fun for you anymore. You can come back! If you've loved it before you are likely to love it again! but you can stop!
Don't get stuck in a loop of doing something that you think should be fun when it isn't! You can put it down for a bit! Maybe that's the very thing that will make it fun again later!
the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
watching bridgerton and obviously there were a lot of things wrong with the way socializing has worked in the past, but honestly the idea of a "calling hour" is so appealing. office hours for friendship. you can show up unannounced at my home between 1 and 3pm. you must leave by 3pm. I may give you a pastry. lets bring that back

can we stop pretending like it’s so super easy for trans men to pass. “oh just put on a baggy shirt and cut your hair-“ it literally doesn’t work like that and I refuse to believe you actually think it’s that easy
