They get married for politics, suggested by Palpatine because he found out about Obi-Wan being an alpha but not about Anakin, and decided a forced alpha/alpha marriage was going to self-destruct and help destabilize the Republic further.

⭐ unfortunately it seems I have written more by @gaily-daily: Look at me. LOOK at me. This is fucked up and ugly and horrible and awful and messy and triggering and so incredibly well written as a dawning horror situation. Dead Dove at its finest. It is incredibly good as a story, but it is also really bad, and you need to go in accepting that. Without details, it's messy/triggering in the GoT sense.

"Hi Uziii...??" N whispers in bashful surprise as she processes the situation. Okay so i'm sitting here right in front of him and he just woke up and sat up really close to my face it's looking like something else is gonna happen and oh my robo-god i am going to fuckin' pass out hhhhh-

It started with a horrible, terrifying, traumatic, very lore heavy nightmare along with a scare and rush to school. This day is certainly not gonna go all too well and i am here for it he's boutta SNAP lol.

Next it was Lizzy doing her usual popular girl spoiled brat bullshit, and N cannot kill her because murder as a whole is wrong and it's no solution to anything at all. Uzi knows this and it bothers her so much more than i can describe.

Next was the teacher being this smug idiot doing whatever, giving the class a dumb thing to do without caring about anything, only looking through his phone either busy with other work or straight up messing around. Uzi and N are very much bothered by this and Uzi wants to speak up... Which she does. To no avail, as the teacher ran out of fucks to give. N just tolerates and tries to lighten up the mood by being his friendly self (got a dude and a chick head over heels for him and he doesn't realize, thinks they're just extra friendly), but it's mostly very little effect. All because he doesn't wanna be rude. It's gonna get real soon enough though.

Next was the discrimation towards N, as he is a Disassembly Drone and they're pretty scared of him... Well at least it's not ALL of them, some are very much enjoying his presence. Why that is i'll tell you in the dms because i don't think i can say it here lmfao.

Next was the teasing. Yes some drones in the school figured out the whole Nuzi shebang and are now teasing them about it. "Hey purple girl, how's the biting like?", "How does your murder buddy kiss? I'm just curious~", "How's it like living with a small girl like her? Bet she likes it when you pick her up~", "N you are so much better than her, there's that other murderous girl out there that killed Doll's parents, she seems right up your ally!", and it just doesn't stop. Ever. N is genuinely bothered by this, he's very uncomfortable.

Inconvience after inconvience, minor and major, impactful and not, it just doesn't friggin' STOP.

Luckily that's all there is, they're going home! Albeit not very happy but they're going to their comfortable space of a home nonetheless!

But i did say he's gonna snap at some point.

"Uzi, have you seen my glasses? I gotta read something important" Says Khan, not actually needing glasses as he's a robot, he can see just fine, but everyone in Copper 9 is all mimicking humans so Khan doesn't realize that and needs glasses anyway.

"I'm getting them, Mr. Uzi!" N chirps, happy to help like all the time, as he jumps up from his seat and walks around, looking for Khan's glasses. "Thanks, Uzi's very lucky to have you as this potential boyfriend!" Uzi lets out a very UNHOLY screech of embarrassment as she yells "HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND". N does sigh at this, but he's too busy looking for Khan's glasses to care.

"Ooh! There you are!" N whips out a pair of glasses from inside... Uzi's wardrobe?? Does she prank him often??? Anywho, he found the glasses!

"I got 'em Mr. Uzi!! I found them in Uzi's wardrobe which is very weird and raises a few questions but i found them nonetheless!!" Khan processes the statement and wheezes as a response.

"What? What's funny??" N is very confused. Khan chuckles as he pats N in the back, "What just happened while i was sleeping was that Uzi just hid them away as a prank of sorts, she's very mischievous!" He's giggling as he explains, and so does N because come on it's funny how could he not?

Oh and N drops the glasses in his giggle fit. Resulting in them breaking upon landing. They stop laughing as they notice this.

N's eye twitches as his hands vibrate.

"N it's okay, i'll just get new ones-" says Khan, immediately interrupted by the next paragraph under this one

"MOTHERFUCKER!!!"

Khan is startled and frozen up in shock. Uzi heard that from the other room and is also shocked. If there were birds in Copper 9 they would fly away in flocks.

"Are you- are you okay-" Khan's interrupted again. "NO I'M NOT OKAY SHIT JUST KEPT HAPPENING AND I'M FUCKING PISSED ABOUT THAT AND BECAUSE I COULDN'T FUCKING DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SON OF A BITCH THEY KEPT ON TEASING ME AND BEING WEIRD AROUND ME AND OH MY FUCKING GOD WHY CAN'T I JUST BE TREATED LIKE A NORMAL FUCKING DRONE?!?!?!"

Khan is frozen in shock as Uzi silently giggles to herself from the other room. "It worked! I turned off his filter holy shit it worked eheheheheee!"

"I'M... I'm going outside for a breather, be right fuckin' back" N storms out through the front entrance, as Khan holds a hand out trying to stop him, "it's sunny outside, careful-" but it was too late.

"FUUCK!!" And so N storms right back in, with burns on his casing, "I'm going to Uzi's room then"

"I DID IT!!" Uzi whisper-yells to herself. Somehow.

Fandoms have really worped peoples idea of what punk is.Obviously the misconceptions and straight up lies about us didn't start with them but they were definitely a huge help in spreading them due to media and the lack of comprehension of it therefore.Like i said in the caption of my recent meme that blew up,being punk is not an aesthetic but a subculture and a policitical movement with the requirements to be one of us being fighting against corruption and helping and generally being kind to minorities and if a character is just edgy without doing that,then they don't deserve to be grouped in with us when they haven't earned it

In real life,when someone goes punk,it's almost always because they're a minority and faced so much discrimation and abuse because of it that they decided to do something about it and that's how they made their decision.I'm not gonna give out details because that would be traumadumping but the reason i went from regular pastel to pastel punk is that i'm a biracial afrolatina who was raised by the white side of their family,mentally disabled because of having a bunch of disorders including autism,mspec and aspec and a former tomboy kid turned femme genderfluid and bigender transmasc.That probably gives you an idea of all i've experienced and those experiences are the reason i decided to start going punk,not because i wanted to be 'cool'.Not that that's inherently a bad reason to but it is a rather ignorant one

Like,look at the characters i used in that meme-Hobie Brown,a black teenager who was forced to grow up too fast or he wouldn't survive,Ichigo Kurosaki,an autistic boy who saw his mom die when he was only a child and was never given therapy and resorted to repressing his emotions to cope and had deal with everyone assuming he was a delinquent based off nothing but his hair color so they treated them badly because of it as far back as middle school,Katara,an indigineous girl born during a 100 year long war who saw her mom get murdered when she was only 4 and adultified and parentified for the next 10 years straight afterwards even though she has an older brother,Luz Noceda,a second gen afro-dominican inmigrant who's bi and gender nonconforming AND neurodivergent and had no friends until her series began because of it,Stephanie Brown,a girl who was emotionally and physically abused by her dad and nearly got csa'd by one of said dad's friend's which traumatized her so much she remembered all the details years later and had to take care of her mom who was a drug addict and then had to deal with a man twice her age constantly degrading her for not being his adoptive son yet calling himself her mentor

Percy Jackson,an adhd and autistic person who's abusive stepdad used their insecurities over their intellegence as insult fuel and grew up poor and getting bullied nonstop and with their teachers not only never helping them but AGREEING with their bullies that they were a bad kid and punishing them for nothing and then spending all five books of the original series having to deal with an older man who'd gaslit them into trusting them so he could kill them when they were only 12 AND literally almost every authority figure(the gods)treating them like shit including the one who's their dad that abandoned them at birth and never made up for it,Dabi Todoroki,a physically disabled man who's disabilities were caused by him trying please his dad who'd started abusing his entire family the second he didn't get what he wanted from them and has been having to deal with everyone praising him as just an anti-hero for almost a decade

They're all punks,some intentionally,some not,but the REASON they are is that they have the punk mentality and show it in their actions,not because some of them are edgy and some of them not being edgy dosen't mean they 'don't count as/can't be' punk and that was caused by their experiences as minorities,not anything else and that's not subtext,it's just text.You don't HAVE to be a minority to be punk but the characters i've seen labeled as part of us more often than not are the ones actively hurting the ones who are and that inherently means they can't be because the whole reason punk was created was to be anti-bigotry and protecting and loving opressed people

Someone who dresses in dark colors and alt accesories and goes out of their way to mistreat people who don't deserve it and are already thought of as subhuman by society isn't a punk,they're a bully and an abuser in the making and if they're an adult,then they already are one and no,them being abused dosen't justify any of that because MANY irl actual punks went through and are even still going through it but didn't have the privilige to turn into a tormenter with no consequences over it.And sorry to tell you this but if you think they are or should be instead of getting justice served on them,then you're not punk either

I have a sweet friend whom I love very much. But as the years go by I'm becoming less and less sure that our morals and politics align. I'm scared of losing them but I'm also worried about the resentment that I'm slowly developing for them. Does anyone know how to deal with this kind of thing?

For context, my friend is studying to become a psychologist. In the past, I used to have the same opinions about therapy that most people in the majority demographic do - that "Therapy is good and psychiatry is a good and altruistic field, and if a bad therapist hurts someone then it's just that individual practitioner being a bad apple."

But I have a PD diagnosis, I've had previous (bad, as you can imagine) experiences with therapy. And I mean EXTREMELY bad, it threatened my safety in an abusive household and I was also in risk of forced institutionalisation once (That one was related to depression a lot more than any PD just to be clear.)

And as I educate myself more and talk to other people who were in similar situations, i get more and more anti-psych with time. It's not really a Few Bad Apples situation if the therapist(s) who hurt us were technically doing their exact job description and were actually adhering to their regulations. I have developed a huge mistrust for psychologists and therapists and like 50% of it is a knee-jerk personal trauma reaction and the other 50% is genuinely getting more socially conscious and knowing that I'd be treated even worse in a whiter country (which my friend is.)

They also tell me things about their actual psychology classes and every fact I learn unsettles me more. Their classes, teachers and entry level career paths are ALARMINGLY blasé, unprofessional and unethical than what you'd expect from such a serious profession.

My friend is a good person btw I am fully sure they're trying so hard to stay ethical and genuine even when their classes/grades literally inventivize them not to be. I know they're that one person in class who goes all in to make an original presentation while everyone who copied off the internet gets an A. But I just feel sad about how far this can really go, it's like seeing someone genuinely try to be a good cop.

I have known this person for a few years and I see them as a LIFELONG friend, I want to hang out with them when we're old and boring. But I just don't know if I will ever be okay with their education and future career, sometimes I'm actively scared of what their psychiatry books must have told them about people like me. Again, my friend has repeatedly reassured me that they're one of the good ones that don't hate or discrimate against certain disorders but I still believe it's a systematic issue. I'm scared of watching them turn into something else but at the same time I don't want to lose them. I also don't think I have any right to tell them what to do with their own life.

All my opinions about psychology here were purely to give you an exact idea of what I'm talking about! I don't want to start any discourse about the anti psych movement on this blog because that's not its purpose (thanks for this space btw op <3) I just didn't want people to assume that my friend was a right winger or something, and that's the only thing it sounds like if I leave it in vague terms. What do I do? Has anyone ever been in this kind of situations with a friend's beliefs and what did you do about it?

Honestly, this is probably not a hill that someone who hasn't had sex in as long as I have should be dying on, but this pervasive conservative mindset of "you have to be in love and in a long term relationship or else having sex is icky" is kind of what always made me bristle about the "love is love" slogan.

Like. Okay. And what if someone isn't in love? Is it okay to discrimate against them then? Is it okay to call men who fucked around in the 80s homophobic slurs and say they deserved to die of AIDS if they were having a lot of casual sex with people they weren't in love with and became HIV+?

Fuck that! Fuck that and every single appeal to care about the AIDS crisis because of the "innocent" victims who just had sex with a Liar one time, or people who got filthy contaminated gay/drug addict/foreign blood in a transfusion that was shoved in my face growing up. No one then or now deserved to get the virus and I don't give a shit how they got it! They were all innocent victims!

Which isn't even getting into the "so is it okay to bully single and/or aro queer people?" of it all, or where trans people fit into this "love is love" paradigm when having a sense of dissonance between your assigned gender and your internal sense of self has fuck all to do with heteronormative conceptions of romantic love.

I don't know how to express how freaking great it feels to read a fantasy story as a WOC without there being a racism plot line or something. Virginity not being a thing , being able to have a partner of the same gender without being side eyed and clothes not having gender bias attached to it just makes me so happy . Idk about anyone else but I like to read fictional stories to escape sometimes and having to read about problems of racism , misogyny, homophobia, etc plotlines in fantasy ALL the time is a frustrating feeling.

I do completely understand that fiction reflects reality ofcourse , it just feels like authors feel afraid to veer away from these topics because they can't ( or maybe sometimes refuse to ) picture a world where the characters won't be discrimated against for their race or sexuality , even though it's possible to erase these things in a fantasy setting in a sense.

This got kinda long 😭 but my point is that as a bisexual black woman , it's just nice to read a story where I can imagine myself in Asur and be safe from these problems you know? Anyway thank you for making this story and for being apart of my peace of mind inna way. I'll be sure to follow until the end & whatever story you might make after !! 💙

I share your sentiments entirely. Sometimes it gets so taxing to see allegories for racism, sexism and homophobia in the fantasy genre. Don't get me wrong, these topics can be handled with care and competence, and when they are, it can feel truly cathartic to read.

But more often than not, they're just badly constructed metaphors about a topic from real life copy/pasted without any real thought into a fantasy world, especially high fantasy, that is otherwise completely disconnected from the real world.

Social issues are still a big part of Arsur. While the construct of 'class' still exists, however, it is shaped by Arsur's world and history; it's not the same class inequality that we deal with in our own societies, though it obviously shares similarities. Race, gender and sexuality do not intersect with it, because... I simply have no interest in exploring those topics.

Though classism and the oppression from social hierarchy are huge issues in Arsur's world, in a way, it still manages to be a form of escapism - at least when it comes to those specific aspects!

I hope you guys know that the Neighbours thing is heavily influenced by vintage erotica/sexploitation tropes and such, so yeah the narrative has a good dose of sexual elements to it. However, the sex is also closely tied to the characters' growth and I hope to present it in a way that represents more of an act of intimacy and "vulnerability" than just smut (although there are some stuff in it that's just smutty because it's hot lol)

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, if I ever start talking about more "nsfw" related stuff when it comes to this project. Although I'm probably not putting a lot of it out in the open right now because I wanna keep some of it behind closed doors so it's more interesting when I actially tell you guys the story XD

Also, despite the fact the story takes place in the 70’s, I chose not to include things like discrimation and homo/transphobia. Mostly because a) I don't think I'm equipped to properly tackle such subjects (specially because I would rather let people who did go through those tough times tell their own stories), b) I want this story to have a more light hearted tone (with a few sentimental beats here and there), and c) I want to focus more on the characters inner conflicts then conflicts created by external factors beyond their control.

Tbh i found the mutant discrimation story quite boring in this chapter but i really enjoyed the plot twist at the end of the story with kurogiri taking shigaraki's side while still looking like shirakumo, At first i thought Mic was gonna win with the power of friendship but i'm glad he didn't. By the way really loved the colour page of kurogiri looking like shirakumo.

Tbh, I really expected Kurogiri to get the upper hand right now:

So far each villain that "lost" also gained something. Dabi stole Phophor, AFO rewound. It makes sense for Spinner to also be successful in some way. Especially, because him being so focused on Shigaraki had no real pay-off yet.

The battlefields need to be shuffled - Dabi needs to get to Endeavor, original!AFO needs to be in the position to be final boss, ShigAFO needs to somehow not lose to Deku already, Toga's Sad Girl Parade should come to a major battlefield, etc.

It just also makes sense for Kurogiri's / Shirakumo's character. Caring about Tomura is the core of his fused personality.

It's the point where Shirakumo and Kurogiri are one and the same.

4. It makes no sense for Mic to be able to turn him alone. It was actually Aizawa who never let go of Shirakumo, who overcame his own disbelief to try to see his friend inside a villain, who sat with him every day since the war, trying to talk to him.

So I really don't expect Shirakumo make an appearance without Aizawa. And frankly, I kind of expect all three of them to be together (and maybe Shinsou to be also somehow a part of it).

After SDS’s [Students for a Democratic Society] hugely successful anti-war march on Washington in April 1965, the organization's ranks swelled. SDS's hypertrophied growth made it markedly more competitive and its leadership more impenetrable for women. The sense of community which SDS veterans so valued dissipated as new members tried to assert themselves and the old guard struggled to defend itself. Although the SDS old guard may not have been anxious to discuss the existence of sex discrimation within the organization, [Sara] Evans observes that many of the most powerful men within SDS were married to women who were questioning sex roles within the Movement. Evans hypothesizes that the men might have been somewhat less resistant had the issue been raised while SDS was still a cohesive movement of friends.

In fact, some men did respond favorably when the question of sex roles was first raised within SDS at the December 1965 National Council meeting. According to SDS chronicler Kirkpatrick Sale, the December "rethinking conference," as it was optimistically dubbed, was supposed to rekindle the spirit of the 1962 SDS Convention at Port Huron. SDS oldtimers hoped that the conference would help SDS solve its problems and grow into an effective "multigenerational" and "multi-issued," radical organization. Many SDS members came to the meeting dissatisfied with the group's lack of ideological coherence and organizational cohesion, and the absence of working democracy. Many of the veterans were also resentful of the newcomers who they felt were taking control of their organization. Moreover, Evans argues that many relationships and marriages among SDS couples “were reaching a breaking point.” Evans speculates that this personal turbulence made the issue of sex roles especially compelling. But it was Casey Hayden and Mary King's, "Sex and Caste"—a "kind of memo" they had circulated among women in the Movement—that finally prompted the National Council to hold a workshop on women's role in SDS. Their paper, an elaboration of the position paper they had written for SNCC a year earlier, was printed with other conference papers. In it, they located the struggle for sexual equality within the new left tradition of dissolving the barrier between the personal and the political:

“all the problems between men and women and all the problems of women functioning in society as equal human beings are among the most basic that people face. We've talked in the movement about trying to build a society which would see basic human problems (which are now seen as private troubles), as public problems and would try to shape institutions to meet human needs rather than shaping people to meet the needs of those with power. To raise questions like those above illustrates very directly that society hasn't dealt with some of its deepest problems and opens discussion of why that is so.”

According to Evans, when the women's workshop first convened, it was composed of both men and women. However, a number of men reacted so defensively that some women resolved to meet by themselves, without the obstructionist men. The women who chose to leave were followed by several men who angrily demanded that they be allowed to participate in the women's discussion group. Even some women who had stayed in the mixed group because they wanted to discuss the issue with men became so frustrated by the men's behavior that they too withdrew to meet with other women. Marilyn Webb recalls that the issue

“galvanized enormous numbers of meetings of women endlessly. I don't even remember anything else happening at that convention. We always used to talk about other people's problems. The reason it was so incredibly interesting was that it was the first time we applied politics to ourselves.”

The workshop issued a statement, endorsed by the National Council, criticizing SDS for failing to encourage women to participate fully in the organization. It further argued that women's status in SDS "reflects not only the inadequacies within SDS but . . . also greater societal problems, namely the role of women in American society today."

i only heard about lb when rusty made her first transmisogynistic page and randomly remembered it and her while looking for sinfest criqtue/cringe posts. finding out she hates femmes makes all her accusations of misogyny and homo/lesbophobia disgustingly hypocritical. Should women (cis or trans) be limited to femininity? Hell no. Should they be shamed for actually enjoying it? Hell no and insisting that femininity is lesser than masculinity is the root of all misogyny. At its core hatred of woman is hatred for the feminine, yes it inherently hates all that refuse to conform to patriarchal gender roles but thats purely because acceptance of non-conformity in women specifically spits in the face of the patriarchy. Men "lowering" themselves (in the context of a sexist patriarchal hierarchy) is also an affront to the shitty order but it is far easier to shrug off a "fallen" man than a woman who attempts to raise herself up to be equally masculine if not just down right neutral.

It also pisses me off because like. If trans people are real, which we are as you already know being one as well, that means that all the patriarchy apologia based upon physical sex differences has zero weight in how equal the genders should be. Why insist on separating the genders on that arbitrary line when its not only incorrect and bigoted but nothing more than patriarchal alogia.

At least she doesnt have any butchphobia but insisting on only showing sapphic femmes as bisexuals and making all lesbians butch as a strict rule literally feeds into old lesbophobic stigmas! Not only is she disgustingly undereducated and willfully ignorant about trans people-its not a religon and if it was that would protect it under all countries w/ religous freedom laws so that arguement is always disgustingly stupid logic to try and ban it. Not only that but she repeatedly projects her ignorance and bigotory onto anyone who calls her out. Trans people receive the same discrimation as the rest of the LGBT+ community. Trans people has always been apart of the community. We have always been here and always will be. And we have always and always will be the strongest evidence that men arent somehow better than women.

Oh man I totally agree! Especially on the part about how Rusty treats fem women in general. It's like Rusty doesn't understand that Gender is a very clearly, social construct and what is considered Male today, is Female tomorrow. Throughout history the definition of masc and fem has changed dramatically and is also in this tug and pull. Trans and Enby folks want to disrupt and soem of us even want to dismantle it entirely.

People like Rusty try to tell us that actually we're upholding the binary by dressing how we do- but who's fault is that exactly? If trans people don't dress or act a certain way, then we're deemed as non passing, and therefore, our gender identity is completely denied. When there are trans pr enby folks that do dress how they please without a care for cis people, they're told they're not really trans! No matter what we do, we're not accepted into cis society and honestly never will be.

Rusty herself has made fun of both group types. If they try to pass, they still don't in her eyes and are deemed as gross and creepy and if they don't care to pass Rusty uses it as a "gotcha see trans people ARE faking it". You can't win with transphobes. If we in the future are able to even change our chromosomal structure then they'd claim that our souls are male or female.

They just want to be hateful because they don't understand how trans people work, and don't want to try.

I mean, if Rusty really was trying, she wouldn't be telling people who just disagree with her to "go fall down a flight of stairs." 😒

Ha! From the very start! I frankly LOVE the idea of this teenager who is reportedly cheeky and popular and has a hot temper, and takes zero bullshit from this good-looking, confident jock who clearly thinks he’s God’s gift? The guy doesn’t have a clue how to deal with her at all (I mean she didn’t even seem remotely impressed by his throwing and REPEATEDLY CATCHING that stolen snitch!? At all?!

Add in that she’s from a discrimated against minority to boot, while big-headed jock is the opposite and I am ALL OVER THIS!! (Of course James isn’t an idiot, he’s very smart which fyi is extremely hot in my book, and we all know he’s brave and can be very supportive and kind and saves his nemisis etc so ofc when he deflates his head a bit I can completely see why she likes him 🙄🤣!)

16 A Childhood headcanon

Petunia and Lily were close as young sisters. Lily was cleverer than her sister; she was funnier, more lively, as Italians would put it - more simpatica! And this was hard on Tuney. In a way, at least when Lily disappeared to Hogwarts she got more attention from her parents which she craved. But parents always wrote to Lily, were overjoyed when she came home and Mr Evans was a bit like Arthur Weasley when it came to Wix - he was endlessly fascinated by them and never really got the hang of any of it.

But Tuney missed her, despite the ambivalence - when Lily returned home from Hogwarts on year very lucky to be alive after an attack by wannabe mini Death Eaters on the train, she spent the next few weeks cleaning the house from top to bottom, which Lily recognised as her sister’s coping strategy for when she was very stressed 🥺❤️
