My words are strike, light, fight, might, and bite! As always, I'll be pulling from all my WIPs bc that's the short fiction life hahahahaha

Strike - "The Unkind Current" (one of the more spooky selections 👀)

The swamp longs for Angharad’s return, but it isn’t time yet. It breathes in and out, lying in wait for the moment that it can strike, dreaming of the day it can drown the village in painful, thick water. 

They think they know where they are living. That is their folly. To assume that they understand everything without even so much as a discussion. The swamp takes comfort in this lack of understanding, and knows that no matter how hard they try to fight back, the villagers will fail. 

Light - "Balefire" (you give me the word "light" as if I don't have a whole story about lighthouses hahahahahah)

The Other didn’t last much longer, and her death was a drawn-out, uncomfortable thing. I had already taken on the load of her work, so I almost didn’t notice that she had become bedridden. They pay me to tend the light, not to be hospice care. She kept trying to reassure me while she suffered. That they would send a second one soon. That I wouldn’t be alone here for long. That she was dying so that the light could keep going. I could see her bones and veins through her skin, which by now was tearing away like paper. 

Fight - "Watch The River Burn" (also present in Unkind Current above)

“And for my mother, of course. At least. The first part. Of my mother. You understand?” Too many words were fighting their way to the front of Araminta’s mind. “Look. Okay. I’m leaving after tonight. After this. I’ll be gone forever and you never have to worry about me again, and I won’t even try to write to you.” 

Might - "The Same Stars" (oh a classic, poor Petra. I should really get around to revising this...)

The inheritance, mind you, that I still don’t know anything about. What does it entail? I know our family is wealthy, but it can’t be much more than the house, can it? I might as well be talking to a brick wall, I know. You told me that I wouldn’t see a penny of that money until I was married. You’re lucky I haven’t spoken to our parents’ lawyers about that, because I’m sure they’d have a word or two to say. 

Bite - HAPPY HOLIDAYS MY BELOVED (this one was a surprise, I didn't expect this word to be in this story!)

“I mean no, god knows these weird physicists know how to party. It just feels strange.” I sighed. He echoed it. 

“You nervous?” This time it was me who had to bite back a laugh. 

“No shit I’m nervous. Tomorrow they’re gonna pack me into an insanely large rocket and shoot me into the sky, praying I don’t blow up along the way, and then just hope that nothing bad happens to me while I live out the rest of my life beyond human comprehension.”

Oh I have heard things about Going Seventeen. Maybe once I listen to a bit more of their music, I then like to watch dance practices and stages, and THEN I'll give the reality show a go. Thank you for the recommendation though, and the song recs are definitely going on my listen to later list.

It's really interesting how our various biases feel different to us and sort of serve a different purpose, if you will. I don't want to give myself away so I'm going to be purposefully vague here, but one of my Ateez biases is so unbelievably attractive to me, mostly physically but also some major parts of his personality too, so I guess he's what you could call my type although i never really thought I had one hahaha. And another bias I feel like he's literally me, because we're so similar in many ways, but I also feel the need to protect him as well, and perhaps it's because I feel that strong connection to him.

Ah, so Wooyoung has joined the bias line officially then? What about your logbook series, you're going to have to add him to that too 🤣🤣 I agree, he really is the definition of a bias wrecker. If you were ever to change your url to a combination of your Ateez biases instead, it would be so long hahahha woohwayungi maybe?

I think I'm starting to get some ideas for what to make you. I really want it to be something you'll love so I'm putting a lot of thought into it. If you had to choose a favorite era for all four of your boys, what would you pick? Is there any particular styling you like on them? Or a favorite hair style/colour? No detail is too insignificant!

Wooyoung is officially there, he has his tag and is mentioned on the pinned post BUT he is slightly under the three og ones (at least for now…); When I had my “click” moment of realizing and accepting he was a bias as well I did stop think about what I was going to do with the logbook series hahah But for now I decided to keep it just with the tall line… Wooyoung already has a lot of content (Hwa too but 🤫). With svt I made sure to use the first, second and third syllable of each of their names, but I with four biases that wouldn’t work hahahahah I guess to follow the same logic I can start the url with “Jeong” to represent both Yunho and Wooyoung since in hangul they do have the same surname (and I’ll go with Yunho’s romanization since he was here first hahah).. so the url would either be jeongseonggi or jeongminhwa 😂😂

Honorable mention to Rhytm Ta Yunho <3 •  So, picture this, I started biasing Mingi when he was still on hiatus based on “old” content, so for the longest time the standard image I had of him was his red hair, ginger Mingi holds a very special place in my heart; Then he came back full power with the grey hair!! Which for me had its peak performance during the Fever Epilogue era (wolf Mingi 🫶) as you can see Fever Epilogue was a VERY GOOD comeback for me, it is also my favorite album overall Honorable mention: whenever he wears glasses •  And finally Woo! you and semi eita were known for being the musician couple. both of you gifted with the talent to understand and play music better than others but, there is a difference.

semi eita genuinely enjoyed music. he liked creating songs, randomly strumming chords on his guitar, playing the piano keys and even humming out a random song whenever wherever. there was never pressure or expectation when it came to him playing music

whereas, you were forced to love music. yes, you do like listening to some song, maybe casually singing and playing random notes. but anything more than that was just demanded from you. it was something that a lot of people expected from you as the gifted kid

but, you never enjoyed it, especially when it came to piano. what a waste of talent, they say. talent, what talent? all you know was the muscle memory you were forced to remember at the young age of 3

it was never fun to you. the amount of trauma it placed on you was a lot, considering how you went through it for 10 or more years.

those nights where you sat on the piano with tears flowing down, purposefully hurting your hands for not playing the way it should. constantly feeling discontent with how it sounded, slowly your enjoyment for piano faded out while laziness crept up your bones wgever you sat in front of the piano.

you never liked playing the piano nor the song you played on it, so how can you even enjoy it and pursue it?

and it's not just you that feels the dissatisfaction with how you play, your teacher as well. the screams they threw at you everytime you missed a note and the humiliation the gave you during class for not playing something perfectly.

so here you are, banging the piano keys and slamming your head on your piano in frustration. hearing all the odd noises of melody, semi came to check on you

"hey love? what's wrong?" he sat beside you, causing you to lean on his shoulder

"i have this test where i have to create a song, but nothing just comes up. even if it does, it sounds ugly and i hate it," you rubbed your eyes, sniffling your nose to hold back tears

Headcanon: Mor, potentially knowing of Azriel and Elain's bond and connection, volunteers to help train Elain in growing into her powers and knowing the basics of fighting. Especially due to the fact that Azriel is forbidden from being around Elain. So Mor steps up to the plate, trains Elain, and possibly becomes Elriel's so called "chaperone" on their journey. I have a feeling Mor can connect with Elain on the basis of making choices for herself that go against the majority rule and dealing with the consequences that arise. Helping Elain "design her future, her fate, with her own bare hands."

Headcanon: I truly feel Elain will rise up. I read this in a fanfic by julesherondalex on A03. Its called "My Strength Is Yours". (I dont know if the author has tumblr but if you know them feel free to tag them.) It brought up a theory I havent heard and I just haven't been able to get over it. I'm just gonna put a couple snippets. Its so beautifully written please go read it...it is an Elriel fic yall fyi.

He was proven right by the different kind of energy that seemed to course beneath her skin and through her veins now.

Maybe the Cauldron had sensed her affinity for growing and tending to gardens and poured its powers right into that well. Azriel’s breath was ripped from him as the thought tunneled into a new certainty.

If Nesta commanded the power of Death, then Elain…Elain might wield the power of Life.

CAN YOU IMAGINE!!! What a Goddess. And with Mor teaching her!? Hot damn 🔥

I also recommend this fic because it talks about Elain literally forging a bond with Azriel. Being Made, she can choose her own fate. I don't know exactly what SJM has planned, but I really hope its something akin to these ideas.

As to the first one, heck yes, honestly I feel like if her book is coming up anytime soon she will have to have some more building up because she was so absent throughout ACOSF. It makes sense to tie off the whole Moriel storyline and also I don't think it is really up for much debate that Mor definitely knows whats up with Azriel and Elain, there are so many hints!

I have ALWAYS said Elain should have power of life!!! It makes complete and total sense especially as Nesta has been confirmed to yield death. I cannot see how it could go any other way not to mention her whole vibe.

Hmmmm. This happened just last year. I was on my 12th grade and it is a requirement for graduating students to undergo immersion? (Where you try to immerse urself to jobs that are most likely what you'd be if you graduate college)

And like, I had my immersion under a department from the government (I'm not gonna say where but ehem-ehem-recent scam-ehem HAHAHAHAHAH)

And like, I worked with the cashier and admin department together with my gay classmate Renato. Renato and I worked for them and at the same time, made the decorations for their Christmas party.
