morgan cheli had never been so frustrated with her own feelings until she met you. she was used to many things not going her way, or anxiety filled bus rides before games. but nothing prepared her for the challenge of having a massive crush on the most oblivious person to walk this planet.

you were everything morgan admired: confident, talented, a natural leader on the court. as a sophomore, you had very quickly became one of the team leaders throughout the last season, and morgan had fallen for you almost instantly. the slight problem? you were completely oblivious to her feelings, mistaking all her gestures of affection for simple acts of friendship.

it started off with waiting. after practice, gym, dinner, anything. morgan always lingered near the exit, always ready to walk with you back to the wherever you were headed next. no matter how long you took to finish your ridiculously long post-practice routine or if morgan needed to walk in the other direction. she was there, waiting, everytime.

one day, as the two of you left the gym together, you glanced over. “you’re always so patient, you’re gonna fit in great here. i can tell!”

morgan shrugged, trying to act nonchalant, even though the simple compliment sent her mind into overdrive.

“seriously, i mean it,” you replied before walking inside your apartment building. morgan who had walked the whole way with you, had to turn back and walk “the walk of shame” as jana would call it, back to the main building where everyone else was.

then there was flowers. morgan had picked out a bright bouquet of daisies, after a particularly tough practice. she presented them to you with a bashful smile.

“these are for you. i just thought they’d brighten your day.”

the girls who were nearby snickered at the innocent gesture as you beamed at her, eyes lighting up with delight. “aww morgan! thank you! you’re such a sweet friend.”

morgan’s heart sank a little but she nodded, hiding her disappointment behind a smile.

you gently took the flowers out her hand, gave her a hug before walking off, bag in hand flowers in the other.

morgan watched in confusion as you walked off, she thought she was being a lot more obvious this time. paige patted her on the back in faux sympathy.

finally, there were the late night chats.

you often didn’t get involved in the tiktok lives, rather watching from the couch and laughing at everyone.

morgan usually would be apart of the lives but rather chose to sit on the couch with you instead.

“you also not feeling the live tonight?” she questioned trying to start a conversation.

you grinned before answering “i never join the lives, the comments annoy me and i can never read them quick enough, bloody irritating if you ask me!”

the conversation then flowed, the two of you completely oblivious to the others animatedly talking to the live, doing… whatever they do on lives.

that night when you got back to your apartment, you facetimed azzi, who you’d gotten super close to the past year.

Lowkey, I put yall together just because I thought it was funny, but I don't think there is actually a better match then this it just works so well.

So, like you guys are the type of couple that people look at and be wondering: why/how on earth are these two together? And sometimes you ask yourself the same question when you have to put up with Ajax's antics (You use his real name when you're annoyed with him), but deep-down you guys love each other so much.

Had you guys been normal people you two probably wouldn't have given each other the time of day. However, you two aren't normal people. You're both members of the infamous Fatui organization, and you have both been assigned to the same mission in Liyue.

During the mission Childe kept trying to make conversation with you from just casual conversation to playful teasing, and yet you didn't bat an eye. Oh, that just made him want to break you more. You've caught his interest now and he's not one to lose easily (even if it is a one-sided competition).

From then on Childe did everything he possibly could to get your attention. You know how some people say that boys bully you because they like you, well that'd Childe although it's less bullying and more just being an annoying lil shit.

Eventually he realizes that what he feels isn't a desire to win at some competition, but to get your attention. He realizes how deeply he's fallen for you and starts trying to woo you instead. He notices how much you like astronomy and reading, so for your birthday he managed to use his connections to get you a rare out of print astronomy book. After seeing how thoughtful a gift it was, he started to worm his way into your heart.

You guys didn't get together until the incident with the traveler. After the fight and releasing the power of the delusion Childe was in pretty bad shape. He practically collapsed in your arms as you two made your escape. As you nursed him back to health and tended to your own wounds you both realized how terrifying it would be to lose the other. It planted a heavy tension in the air which led you two to talking about your feelings (It may have also helped that you two were a little drunk on pain medication but whatever works works I guess).

From then on you two are an official item, although not much changes dynamic wise. Childe tries to impress you by doing something dumb, you get him out of said dumb thing, scold him for a lifetime while sometimes patching him up if the situation calls for it, all while having a slight smile on your face wondering how you fell in love with such an idiot. You two are also an unbeatable pair in combat.

Dates for you two are quite simple given your hectic work life. Mainly they'll be spent taking long walks through whatever new location you two have been assigned to; exploring the area, seeing the sights, enjoying the food, and finding a high enough point to stargaze when the sun goes down (Childe bought you a new telescope and you scolded him for spoiling him even knowing full well he's still gonna do it anyway).

Childe's family absolutely adores you. Every time you and him go to visit his siblings swarm you and call you big sisters. His parents really appreciate the help, you even do the cooking and cleaning (even though they insisted you didn't have to since you told them it calms you down, they just let you).

Childe will do anything to protect you. Despite how goofy and competitive he can be, if anything ever happened to you this man would see red and stop at nothing till you were safe in his arms again.

gonna talk about some personal life bullshit under the cut so if you're not interested in my life drama or potentially triggering shit then I'd scroll past. Content warning for talking about disturbing/self-destructive thoughts, chronic pain and illness, and trans stuff..

well, I'm at the point where I am second-guessing myself again. my mom and her husband actually think I'm a hypochondriac and I didn't help my own thought spiral by watching a bunch of videos on people who supposedly made up their own chronic illnesses for crime or other reasons...

like i genuinely think there has been stuff going on with me for years now, but because i never brought some of it up to doctors at the time they tend to not believe its that serious.. Half the time they blame my symptoms on my weight (something that has changed very little over the last five years not including getting the tits chopped earlier this year) or they will blame it on my diet (another thing that has if anything gotten healthier over the last five years as I've explored more veggies and fruits).

Most recently, I went in after doing a bunch of research on POTS and hypermobility without really saying anything specific, keeping the most specific description at general hypermobility while describing my joints and pain and other problems. Well, the outcome I thought was going to be better because normally they dismiss it and don't do anything but this time it seemed different because my doctor actually ordered new blood tests that I haven't had before to rule out things like arthritis and lupus and stuff. The problem was that she said she would follow up and never did and its been like a month now since then and still nothing. Based on the ranges they show with the tests I'm within range for everything pretty much so part of me wonders if that's why she never reached out to confirm the results or what, but I am planning on sending her a message to ask what the next step is.

I know it's not smart to self-diagnose and do a ton of research into symptoms because you could be wildly off but given the fact that the doctors I keep getting just dismiss everything as normal without really doing anything to check most of the time I just can't forget about it and move on. I shouldn't be dealing with all the health problems that I am at the age that I am. Older adults always say stuff like "wait til you're older, then you'll really know pain" and it makes me so disheartened for my future if I'm already overwhelmed by it all rn. Like I really am at a "whats the fucking point?" type of mental state because of all this.

I feel like no one in my life really believes that the issues I have a real and everyone just thinks i make it all up because I complain a lot. Part of me wonders if I am faking it all and I'm just so delusional that i don't know I'm faking it. It's the same kinds of thoughts I have about being trans sometimes or about money. I've been really trying to avoid self harming lately because of all this shit.... Its so weird cause I'll have a great awesome day where I got all the shit done I needed to do, did something fun, socialized, showered, ate, all of it and at the end of it all I feel like the biggest piece of shit on the planet... Like everything I said and did was wrong and of course my doctors don't believe me Im just making it up, of course my brother said no to sitting outside with me, I'm being annoying as usual. idk....

I have so many wishes for my life and my loved ones' lives and my mom always says that obnoxious response of "you wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up faster" to try and bring me back to reality and make me feel better I guess but obviously it never works. it just makes me feel worse about it like I shouldn't even complain in the first place. I really do wish things were different.

I wish I wasn't in pain every day, I wish I didn't have stomach problems every day, I wish I didn't feel like I might pass out every day, I wish my anxiety was the normal amount and not the terrifying heart palpitations I get every day, I wish I had enough money that these health problems wouldn't worry me so much, I wish my mom didn't have to work her soul-crushing job just to keep a roof over our family's heads, I wish that things were different....

You were having an awful day, an awful week even. It seemed everything that could go wrong did. It just seemed the world was against you and you were tired of it. You were approaching your breaking point and fast. You could see this but you didn’t know what to do about it. You could reach out to your boyfriend Connor. But no he was doing so well recently and you didn’t want to burden him or bring him down with your negative thoughts. So you decided to do what you always did which was just distract yourself from your emotions because if you didn’t think about them they weren’t there. You put your earbuds in and put on one of the playlists Connor had made for you, once you got home and went up to your room without saying a word to anyone and plopped face down into your bed. For a couple minutes you were able to ignore all the thoughts racing through your mind but eventually the music stopped working and you were left alone with your thoughts. 

You’re pathetic and a burden to everyone. Why would anyone want to deal with you, especially Connor? You’re probably the most annoying person on the planet right? With your constant pestering and need for reassurance every two seconds it’s truly a wonder that you haven’t been abandoned by everyone in your life. 

You were angry at yourself. How could you possibly let yourself be this awful of a person? You wanted to do something horrible to yourself as a punishment, to force yourself to feel the pain you bring to everyone in your life. 

The next time you had a coherent thought was at least a half hour later. You felt a stinging sensation coming from your wrists and started crying as you fully processed what you had done. Without realizing it you texted Connor asking him to come over. You just sat waiting staring at nothing until Connor knocked on the door to your room. You were broken out of your trance and weakly said “It’s open” so he knew he could come in. 

Once Connor opened the door he knew something was up. The energy in the room just felt wrong. Then he saw your hunched figure on the bed and could tell something was up just by how you were sitting and approached the bed slowly so as to not startle you. Once he came into your field of vision you broke down even more feeling so pathetic in this moment. “Oh sweetheart,” he says softly. He sat down in front of you and took one of your arma in his hand and inspected the damage gently. He did the same with the other and once he was done he opened his arms and you crashed into his chest, violently crying at this point. He held you tight and pressed soft kisses into your head. He just let you cry it out rubbing soft circles into your back but while he was he couldn’t help but think how could the light of his life ever feel so bad that you felt you had to do this to yourself? 

Once your cries had calmed down to soft sniffles every once in a while he said “Let’s get you cleaned up then we can cuddle. Sound good?” You nodded tiredly. “Okay let’s go to the bathroom,” he said, grabbing your hands to pull you up and guide you to the bathroom. Once you got there you sat on the counter and Connor got to work. He carefully applied antibiotic ointment and bandages to the affected areas and when he was done pressed gentle kisses to all of the bandages.  After that he cleaned up his ‘workspace’ and led you back to your bedroom. The two got ready and had settled into your bed when he broke the comfortable silence that had settled between you two. “You know we have to talk about this right?” You nodded timidly. “Why?” he said simply. You explained how terrible this week had been for you and how it all got to be too much. The whole time Connor listened with his undivided attention on you, holding your hand and rubbing soothing circles with his thumb. At some point while you were explaining you had started crying, He sat up causing you to sit up as well. He grabbed your face, wiped your tears and stared deeply into your eyes. It felt like he was staring into your soul but you didn’t look away. After what feels like an eternity he finally spoke up and said “I don’t know how you could think all those awful things about yourself. You’re the most wonderful person I’ve ever met. Your kind, smart, compassionate, not to mention most beautiful person I’ve ever met. You’re not a burden to those around you, especially not me ever. Next time you feel like this, I want you to talk to me okay? I’m here to help you. I know you would do the same for me in a heartbeat so let me help you. I love you so much and I don’t want to lose you, you’re my whole world.” You were crying again but for the first time today they were happy tears. 

“Thank you for always reminding me how loved I am. I love you so much Con,” you said smiling through the tears. 

“I love you more Y/N/N,” he said, smiling sweetly at you. He gave you a tender kiss on the forehead and then said “You’ve had a long day we should get some sleep.”

“Yeah you’re right,” you said through a yawn. The two of you got cozy again, your head on Connor’s chest, his hands running through your hair. The sound of his heartbeat, the one he swore beat for only you, lulled you to sleep. The last thing you heard before you felt before you fell fully unconscious was a kiss being pressed to the top of your head.

Okay, so we’re starting with the amazing scheming captain

He is literally the most wonderful boyfriend and will make sure you’re alright and show you off all the time

But recently he’s been really stressed with nationals coming up and the workload of almost heading into uni

One day he gets back from volleyball practice - Lev was being super annoying and managed to spill water everywhere which he had to clean up and Yamamoto has slammed into him when spiking

So to say the least, he was very angry

You felt that ✨ v i b e ✨coming from him

So, as his ever so wonderful s/o, you walked up to him to comfort him

He was still by the doorway taking off his shoes, he didn’t even bother to call out your name

He probably didn’t notice you either, too busy in his thoughts

So then, when you touch him, he jolts

You ask him what’s wrong

He tells you to back off

You ignore him cause you have to be there for him through thick and thin

That really pisses him off more that he already was and that was the last straw for his patience

This boi was sick of life, he was annoyed and angry

And at that moment, Yaku entered

Just the mere sight of the two of you made him angry

So he slapped you both, for your own good

Yaku the absolute mom of the team

Being a mom means he’s also vry good at arguing

Literally wins every argument

Makes you wonder why he didn’t join the debating club

Lev told you it was because Yaku would frighten everyone away with his ugly face

He got promptly slapped, kicked and hit with a volleyball

However, one day you got dared to argue with Yaku

Alright y’all, I was bored and wanted to ignore my hw, so I made a tier list on everyone’s lore and a quick writeup for each placement. Just an fyi this is my opinion and will most likely change as we get more story content, but right now this is where I stand (no arguing please, or at least nothing that’ll result in name calling and such)

But yeah this is something I’ll probably look back on and be like “hmm maybe I was too harsh with my rankings” but rn it’s like 2:30 in the morning so yeah

S Tier

Bloodhound: Maybe I’m biased because I’m a BH main, but imo their lore is the most interesting and nuanced out of everyone’s. From their parents, to their uncle, to Boone, and now their planet, Bloodhound’s backstory, current lore, and character is fantastic and honestly peak writing from Respawn atm.

Wraith: I understand that not everyone loves the “I lost my memory and am now trying to find out who I am” trope, and maybe this is also biased because I’m a complete Wraith simp, but her lore to me is also very unique and well done. The entire Voidwalker cinematic alone is what’s basically putting her in S tier, but I also love how she is the prime definition of “Looks like they can kill you, but is actually a cinnamon roll” instead of your typical edgy girl that coldly pushes everyone away.

A Tier

Horizon: Interstellar but make it Scottish. She has really nice interactions with Mirage and Wattson, and there’s plenty of potential with where her character can go now that Ash is in the picture.

Gibraltar: While his lore isn’t as flashy like the ones in S tier, I still think it’s really good. For one, it’s consistent, and the stuff with Nik and Michael is very bittersweet. I really like how despite the tragedies in his life, like BH, that only made him more determined to do the right thing. 10/10 he’s got your back bruddahs

Mirage: Respawn’s poster boy, so it’s only natural that he gets a shitload of lore. Fortunately, it’s not shit and actually fleshes him out as a character greatly. I also really like the canon sibling relationship he has with Rampart. Now that his dad may or may not force himself into the picture soon, it’s gonna be more character development for Mirage either way.

Borderline

I’ll explain this tier real quick. Basically they’re between A and B; they have the potential to be great, but they’re being held back by a certain something.

Bangalore: Pathfinder’s Quest did a really good job fleshing her out, but the love triangle and inconsistent behavior towards Wraith isn’t doing her any favors. It’s a shame, because characters like Anita are really unique and not seen often. I can only hope Respawn realizes that no, love triangles are not the peak writing they think it is.

Loba: Same deal here, that love triangle and her rebounding off Valk is really not doing anything good towards her character. They’re adults, are they not capable of communicating? Like Bangalore, she’s also really unique in the sense that she’s a bisexual woman of color in a video game who is a complete girlboss and inspiration. Respawn stop fucking up your characters please!

B Tier

Revenant: He’s really badass, and his lore is fun, it’s just that the writing is making him look like a complete joke. He gets clowned on every time he’s about to do something cool and it’s honestly kinda sad. If the writing could give him a few kills to his name to actually establish that he’s a threat, I’ll put him up higher.

Octane: If this was fanon Octane, he’d be an automatic S tier. Respawn needs to flesh out his backstory some more, like most of the fanfics do. That one comic where he confronts his dad was 10/10, we just need more of that and actually tackling the effects his father’s abuse had on him. Also the potential history he has with Seer is a good opportunity to explore more of his character, so that’s a good start.

Rampart: Just recently she’s getting lore, and all of it is very good so far. The relationships she has with a lot of the legends are very strong, and the foreshadowing towards Big Sister returning is also a huge plus.

Fuse: The Maggie stuff was honestly really fucking lame (I blame the ingame comics for this), for me what’s really carrying his character rn are the Fusehound interactions. Idrc if it ends up platonic or romantic, all Ik is that there is a lot of potential in fleshing out Fuse as a character either way.

C Tier

Pathfinder: Okay I’m not gonna lie, I have conflicted feelings on Path. He got an entire book to himself dedicated to his own lore, along with a cinematic that gave a visual on what actually happened to his creators, and yet I don’t care for his lore??? Thinking about it, it’s probably because he didn’t really get any character development, he ultimately stayed the same (except that one moment where Revenant screwed with him, but he bounced back literally one chapter later). Also, it honestly looks like his story is over anyway, he just has to find his kid. At least his personality is 10/10 though

Lifeline: Y’all are probably thinking, why is Lifeline here and not Octane + vice versa, isn’t their lore basically the same? It’s because imo Octane has more potential character development atm, and Lifeline doesn’t really have any character interactions that don’t have to do with her childhood friend, so that to me is what’s separating her from Octane. Lol again if this were fanon Lifeline she’d probably be in A tier, borderline S tier.

D Tier

Valkyrie: Literally the first thing that happens to her in the lore is that she gets thrown into a love triangle. I understand that it’s in her character to be flirty and stuff, but a love triangle? Really? Ms. Kairi Imahara deserves sm better than that. Honestly the only reason she’s not in F tier is because I like her personality, along with the Northstar cinematic.

Seer: Tbh, there isn’t a lot we know about Seer. However, what we know about him so far isn’t detrimental and for me the reason he isn’t in F tier. The interactions he has so far have the potential to be explored.

E Tier

Wattson: Man. I wish she wasn’t here, but the fact that almost all her lore involves babysitting two grown men really killed her character for me. Fanon Wattson is a million times more enjoyable to me, Respawn needs to seriously consider giving her independent lore and/or branch out to other characters that aren’t Crypto and Caustic.

Crypto: Same thing, the fact that he’s strictly tied to Wattson and Caustic rn is annoying and stupid. It also doesn’t help that literally nothing about his personal lore has been addressed recently (Mila, clearing his name).

F Tier

Caustic: If he were actually established as a proper villain, he’d be way higher. But no, Respawn wants to play rock paper scissors with this guy; one second he literally wants to gas a city, the next he’s playing nice because “Wattson blackmailed him?” Lol I don’t fucking think so. I’m not saying a redemption arc for Caustic is impossible, it’s just that Respawn did a really shitty job in actually convincing people that he deserves it. And yes, even the whole deal with his mom isn’t doing it for me. Nah fuck this guy sorry y’all, he’d be way better as a villain imo

Himbo king. Not very smart, but he means well. Won’t ever shut up about whatever’s on his mind, but there’s some kind of weird charm to that.

Bruno could care less about intelligence and thinks the man gives good hugs. He’s a very persuasive and warm person and sometimes Bruno just needs to like—sit on the roof and let this big beefy 20-year-old man wrap his scarf around him and tell him that things are gonna be fine. :) Oldseph is nice to him and his kids and shows them weird Hamon magic tricks. What is there to hate?

Leone is annoyed beyond fucking MEASURES because he didn’t think that someone in their 20s could still act like they’re 11. Honestly, he’s a bit jealous that he can never be that childlike again. Surprisingly though, he latches onto him pretty quick because Joseph reminds him of his kids :’) Oldseph is one of the only people who can make him laugh, though. The fact that he’s survived so much bullshit and can still act so witty gives him a shred of hope for his own life.

Jotaro

A man of few words. Is somehow both awkward and confident at the same time. Can’t sit on couches properly because of how tall he is. Isn’t the best at showing his feelings, but he always means well.

It’s almost impossible for Bucciarati to dislike someone, but he just,,,feels threatened whenever Joot is in the room. Maybe it's because he’s a 6′5″ 181 pound man that’s spoken maybe 4 words since he’s entered but he gets this air of intensity whenever he’s around him. He learns later after a few beers that the man is just the most socially awkward and emotionally constipated person on the planet. He wouldn’t say they become friends, but he finds that he doesn’t have to keep his guard up around him anymore.

Abbacchio loves silence. Abbacchio loves Jotaro. The man is like a godsend compared to everyone else in this house. Quiet, reserved, polite, doesn’t take shit from anyone,,,the list goes on. The two of them could sit outside for hours and never feel awkward about it. And the fact that marine life is his entire job keeps the kids occupied enough for him to actually do shit. Jotaro is a winner in his book.

Josuke

Like his father but actually has a filter. A true bro. Daddy issues but who doesn't? Is the definition of wholesome content. Stand looks like bubblegum ice cream. Is baby.

Bruno loves him. He and Giorno bond over healing and he’s literally the sweetest person Bruno’s ever met. Soft boy needs hugs. Soft boy needs parental figure. Soft boy will get both immediately and it WILL be from Bruno. If he knew that Joseph was his dad, you best believe there’d be some mega scolding going on. Long story short, yes yes. Yes.

Leone will hate the kid upon meeting him but then learn some more stuff about him and think “hey, this kid actually isn’t that bad.” At this point Leone’s just like fuck it there’s another kid here and doesn’t think much of it because Josuke isn’t exactly annoying per say, he’s just there. Which is fine as long as Josuke doesn’t become annoying. Which he probably will :)

I have been physically inside a class at my uni a handful times for a whole year now... I am falling a lit of my classes. It was supposed to be the most important year in my studies and I have this big exam that will determine my whole career in a month but I already know I will have to retake it in a year. Teachers tells us we have to work but what am I supposed to do, I haven't seen my friends for months, I didn't get to have real classes all year long... I'm just venting, sorry

It sucks. I’m not going to tell you you should feel good about it, because you shouldn’t. It’s a profoundly sucky situation, and that’s it. You’re 100% allowed to feel bitter, angry and resentful about it. But: I also believe negative emotions physically hurt us and don’t actually change anything for the better, and that’s why we should acknowledge them, vent, rage, then try to move on.

And, if it helps: the stakes are never as high as you think they’re going to be. Like, I know I sound like the most annoying adult on the planet rn, but death is the only thing that’s unchangeable.

Everything else, you can fix in some way. So, you know - you fail a class, you fail an exam - I know it seems a major obstacle to you, but I promise you, it’s not. You can retake classes and exams, and as for your future career - 99% of the adults around me ended up in a wildly unplanned direction and are mostly happy with it. For instance, I know a should-have-been concert pianist who now delivers babies, a should-have-been anthropologist who works with abused women, a should-have-been economist who makes wine, a should-have-been physical therapist who’s a translator... They all changed track in their mid to late 20s (or even later) and are really happy with their lives. Shit happens, change happens. Sometimes what you thought was your dream turns out to be so boring you can’t stand it. Sometimes you get curious or passionate about something else, meet someone who changes your life, move somewhere else, discover something new about yourself. Who knows. 

Personally, I try to go through life with a ‘do your best, don’t plan’ philosophy. Paradoxically, i’s always helped me do better at important exams - precisely because I knew I could fail them and nothing catastrophic would happen, I wasn’t overly stressed, focused better, performed better.

As a tip, if you’re failing most of your classes, try to pinpoint exactly why so you can fix it next semester or next year. Maybe the subject isn’t as interesting as you thought and you can switch to something else? Maybe you’re having trouble understanding what you should do or how to study and a professor, T.A. or classmate can help you? And if you’re simply generally sad and demotivated, you need to do something for your mental health. I mean, of course it’s normal to feel that way with all the shit that’s been happening, but that doesn’t mean we can’t work on it and try to feel better. If your uni offers counseling, it could be a good idea to talk to someone.

So, you know: tl;dr it’s all very shitty, but it’s not the end of the world. You still have time to do lots of amazing stuff. As cliché as it sounds, take it one day at a time and only focus on what you can do and what you can change - and forgive yourself for not keeping up with that perfect self you have inside your head. You are you, and it’s enough.
