Scenario, where earlyTNG!Q gets the idea to teach Picard a lesson about how emotional and hormone based humans are and decides to make a sort of game out of it. After all, after being corrected by Picard about the captains favorite authors work he has gotten quite familiar with it as well and why not incorporate something from Shakespeares most famous comedy. 

At first Q thought it would only be too entertaining to have Picard fall in love with some random person Q would curse to have a donkeys face, but then he gets another idea.

How about he simply makes Picard fall in love with him?

Q tries his best to ignore any and all upcoming emotions on his own part at that thought and instead chooses to simply view it as a more ... convenient way to teach the human this lesson and it would be quite entertaining to see Picard lose at least a bit of his pride in order to court Q.

And Q, only having a very vague knowledge of how morally wrong this is but no clear understanding as he has never had to step down from his own perspective  and who only saw that those kind of situations are considered ‘funny’ in human media and stories, makes it so. 

So, who is to blame Q if he, rather unexpectandly, finds himself actually enjoying the result  and decides to prolong this game/lesson a bit longer than originally planned?

Part 1.

Akkun:

Straight or Bi. He doesn't care about what you are and is fully against gender norms, likes Drag Queens and Kings. Trans people's best friend.

Kazushi:

Some character explorations I did with Melly´s design

Even before the game launched globally, I had an idea for a Hufflepuff or well as for now "definitely not a Hufflepuff" girl who despite her sincerely nice nature is actually pretty dangerous and has the saddest backstory imaginable (/hj) and somehow managed to befriend Cassandra in spite of all odd, who she´s very loyal to and definitely not a major simp for.

I do have somewhat of a backstory written for her, but I believe it requieres A LOT of polishing for it to make sense SO it´s very likely it could literally change the next day lmao xd

It seems cool to me but it´s probably gonna be very cringe if I tell it to anyone so yeah fljvjfhskñvj

If my memory´s not failing me again I remember that Cassandra´s character description somewhere mentioned that she has a lot of trouble socializing normally and trusting people. So I though "what if there was a person who understands that about her and tries her best to help her with becoming more comfortable around people and trust others more". Perhaps not redeem her completely (as tbh I do dig her as she is rn) but at least make her slighly less arrogant. Someone Cassandra could genuinly form a trusting relationship with only for that person to end up being not as trustworthy as it seemed at first if not someone definitely not to trust but hey at least they are very loyal to her and would sacrifice a world for

Plus, knowing she´s embarresed of the fact her parents are both Hufflepuff it would be really funny if the person who manages to become one of her closest friend ends up being a Hufflepuff or at least have characteristics that are considered as such.

So i watched episodes 3 to 8 of Pahkitew Island

Again, watched these with my buddy @rockin-it-rusty! And, holy shit these episodes have got me genuinly wondering why Pahkitew's so hated.

I'll go over the negatives first; the challenges are kinda eh. The Truth or Scare one is great, and the cave one is interesting due to it's hints at the Fake Island reveal (as heavy handed as they were), but most of these were just pretty out there to me? They mostly felt like an excuse to put the characters in situations mostly. Just have Topher make a narration joke, give Max and Scarlett an interaction, have Sky and Dave dance around eachother all due to a thing the challenge made them do. I don't mind the first two much, but the last one gets super repetitive man. Glad they mixed it up a bit by making Shawn try to wingman Dave though, i like their friendship! im a bigger dashawn shipper now oops

ANYWAYS IMA TALK ABOUT THE CHARACTERS NOW BECAUSE LET'S BE HONEST, THE CHARACTERS CARRY THE SHOW!

Amy... Ok im very mixed on her. On one hand, she serves her role as the mean twin relatively well. But on the other, that's all she really is! Her one trait is being mean and hating her sister, and that's all she really does! Granted she has a thing? Where she gets sayings (?) wrong, or just gets words wrong (she says parfait is german. it's french. i would know) which! could hint at something! (maybe less smart than her sister?) but they don't do shit with her outside of her swimming back to the island in episode 5. god i wanna rewrite this season so badly now to give her a bigger role. idk shoutouts to Twinning with a Twist for redeeming her while still giving her some edge ig.

Rodney. i uh

I haven't thought about him since his elimination honestly. I just doooooon't care about him it's crazy. Most forgettable guy in the entire series.

Sammy! Ok back to the siblings rambles! I wish the show leaned into her scheming more. Girl in five episodes pulled identity theft and did nothing else. Why. Her relationship with Jasmine is adorable, and i wish she got Jasmine to call her by her actual name, and a personality too! It's really a shame man :(

Sidenote, but like her team fucking hated her for some reason??? Like what. I know it's because of that one scene, but really?

Ella!! My sweet girl Ella!!! She didn't do anything wrong man she just likes singing leave her alone!!! Chris really fucking hates her and it's pretty entertaining at least, but i'd say his beef with Topher's funnier. She has a nice singing voice, and i love how passionate she is about fairytales and stuff. You could do so much with the Prince thing and the show... didn't. Like what even was that. Conflict that wasn't one that lasts an episode. what

Gotta say though, her elimination was fucking ass, Max 100% should've been kicked instead of her.

Topher. Ah the opher. He's a special case, even in the context of Pahkitew Island itself! Because the dude's not here for the game. He's here to meet his idol, Chris Mclean (he really knows how to pick em, huh). I like the progression he's got, from wanting his approval to straight up wanting to host the game instead of him. I'll admit, my opinion's a little skewed since i am mutuals with the Topher guy on Tumblr, but i like him regardless!

His relationship with Chris is easily one of the more interesting parts of the season, mostly because a 30-something year old dude having beef with a teenage fan is hilarious, and you could definitely spin it in a sad way from Topher's perspective.

It also helps that he's genuinely funny! His few interactions with the other campers are also pretty fun, he dgaf about them it's great.

Im kind of mixed on Dave, i'll be real. On one hand, im glad they ditched the whole "he doesn't like anyone on this Island" trait three episodes in because that would've gotten. SO ANNOYING. SO FAST. (hell i'd argue it was already annoying), and him being a hopeless romantic could be a fun trait, if done right. It also helps that he's really pathetic and i find that funny. His friendship with Shawn's fun too!

But on the other hand... Yeah, even before the finale the Skave plotline's really boringgg. They just dance around eachother for half the season for like! No reason! Please just have a conversation, even if it takes other people to sit them down to have it! I know why they didn't because the finale needed them to not actually talk about it but at least have Sky tell him she'll explain later or have him not be a coward and ask her about it himself!!! ack!!

Also the thing with him and Ella went literally nowhere. I have 0 feelings about it because it's just there for some reason. Idk they just really wanted to shoehorn in romance for every girl this season huh.

Scarlett's a really underutilized character pre-Island reveal. The bulk of her interactions with the other campers are with Max, who has a ton of screentime for some reason (which i don't personally really mind but i'll explain later) which honestly sucks because she's a fun character! I want to compare her to Twilight Sparkle at the very start of MLP. She's smart, she knows it, she can communicate with her teammates just fine and just chooses not to usually. I like her alot! Im just... really disapointed that she's so in the background usually; if anyone's a wasted character in tdpi, outside of the Twins i'd say it's her.

Her legit wanting to kill Max is great though. That's how i'd react to him irl. Don't get the Max saying she had a crush on him three episodes in, or the quip Chris made during the team switching tho.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, MAX! I swear, i was convinced i'd find this guy annoying pre-watch but uh... I like this guy! No really, i do! He's like Mal, only the narrative doesn't take him seriously in the slightest and it's hilarious to watch! Im like Sugar in that one clip, i am laughing at this buffoon's intelligence, and his stupid catchphrase, and his "evil" plans, and his general delivery! Max is funny!

Even when the Scarlett "minion" thing kicked in i still found him funny! Don't get me wrong, i wish he'd gotten out earlier (ESPECIALLY when he was supposed to get kicked in the episode Ella got eliminated into) or just gotten less screentime in general, but in the season proper, yeah he's a funny guy! Big gimmick, but i like him! Please don't add nuance to him, i don't care

Jasmine... certaintly exists! I'd call her the Season's rock, the one character that's emotionally intelligent on the show. She's fun in general, and also the only one noticing things going wrong with the robotic island. As said before, her relationship with Sammy is great to see, and i wished we'd see more of her and Sky's friendship and uh. For there to be more between her and Shawn? Because the only things i've retained is that they blushed at eachother once and then trust issues party because he hit her once during a challenge and that completely broke her trust in him - which, could be an interesting aspect of her character to explore since if that's all it took for her to pull a 180 on Shawn, the girl must have a complicated relationship with trust. That's an interesting flaw! It also shows up with her rapport in Sky in the later episodes of this batch, and. GOD. I wish it was developped man!

The issue? Yeah it's dragged on so longggg man! It's frustating to watch frankly because i really wish they'd resolve this conflict quicker since it's like. The same thing every episode :( to my knowledge it's solved in episode 9, but it did NOT need to be dragged out for 4 episodes.

Unrelated to her charater, but her height difference with the other campers is kind of ridiculous. In some shots the characters look so small compared to her it's crazyyy

Ok, now. Sugar. I'll be honest? She's great! She's just a menace and doing her own thing and it's fun to watch! She's also interesting in terms of backstory since she's canonically a pageant queen; her relationship with Ella is greatly impacted by this, since she heavily suspects her of lying to her face when it's just. Ella being Ella. Similar thing to her opinion on Topher; she doesn't like him for his sucking up to Chris, the host (something that Rusty probably agrees with). I fucking wish she was more popular because then people would look into her more, but alas. She's a female, plus sized character in Pahkitew Island, so considering the Fandom's biases, it was never going to happen. U_U

OK TIME FOR ZOMBIE BOY. So, Shawn. He's definitely more present in these episodes than he was before, and, again, i think he's fun! He's a weird little guy. He's got interesting skills (his camouflage, legit parkour, general athleticism) and his personality's interesting as well compared to the other guys. The zombie thing is fine, actually, because they do different things with it over the course of these episodes. Not much to say about him, he's a solid character to me and i wish he had more interactions with the cast outside of Dave and his pining for Jasmine. Who he's talked to like, five times at this point? Again, they probably should've talked stuff out faster than this for me to actually enjoy it. Oh well.

And finally, Sky. She's an interesting case for me? She's fine, mostly. She's the Normal Person™️ of the cast to me, and that means she really struggles to grab me. It's made worse by her main plot being a basic romance plot where the gimmick is that she's a reasonable human being and Dave isn't. And neither are able to have a normal fucking conversation about it either. The mixed signals thing could've been interesting, but this is Fresh TV writters, so of course it didn't end up that way. I assume the episodes without Dave are the ones where her personality shines more? Because so far she's just been really reserved and calm. And said she'd "focus on the competition only" And then. Doesn't. Really. God i wish this season treated it's female characters better :(

OK SO OVERALL THOUGHTS:

the romance plots and pacing of the Island plot are the weakest parts of this season

the challenges are fine

So i was talking with my pals on the eeby-gliscord and i found out that almost NO ONE has played the pokemon MMO

so here i am. rambling about it, becuase i need more people to know about it

so like..... the game was apparently made in 2004 by some very passionate dudes. It took from 1999-2004 to be fully developed and for the first release to come out.

One thing that was notable was the fact it was a once buy game, you didnt need a subscription to keep yuor account active, the downside being is that you had a limited amount of playtime for one week (the devs needed to save on bandwith and the like). That said you couuuld pay for a subscription for stuff like early access to the updates, a general prestigue on your social status within the game, higher drop rates (but only on the cosmetic items), adn the ability to play as long as you wanted.

The gameplay was by far the best part. You had a selection of starters to pick from, i think the game launched with 3, but when the final update released it was a total of 24 (that 8 times as much!!!)

once you picked your starter you would play AS THE POKEMON. that was the main selling point, playing as the pokemon. It was honestly amazing for me, given.... yknow.

Now, this game apparently had a bit of controversy, since there were no humans in any area int he map.... and the gamplay consisted of going through the overworld, entering towns, making a guild with your pals..... and exploring dungeons...

People called the game a ripoff of Pokemon mystery dungeon for this reason, even though there were a LOT of things different. There was ACTUAL equipment, and crafting, adn a skill tree to unlock more pokemon moves, where you leveled up by gaining experience for beting mobs!

But the most damning evidence for it not being a ripoff was the other selling point. Being able to SWITCH YOUR POKEMON SPECIES.

yeah. Basically you gained these "species points" for completing dungeons, and you could use them to unlock new species! To evolve a species you had to gain evolution points from overworld bosses, not the dungeon ones.

And going back tot he equipment, the equipables were determined by type, and the synergies you could make if you were a pokemon of two types.... damn the amount of just, things you could do was genuinly incredible!!!!

....there was one problem though, you had to be in a town to change your species. whihc meant you could sometimes run into incredibly bad scenarios.

....BUT

by completing one of the LONGEST QUESTILNES IN MMO HISTORY, you could... unlock.... MEW!!!

whihc had the unique skill: transform!

It was so broken, i beat so many goddamn PVP battles with elisa and dominic thanks to this.

Between Widow, Hanzo, Ash, and Ana

I am so hungry for a sniper who's like

"Ehhh... I'm not that great of a shot."

I understand Hanzo has that whole: 'I was better with a sword.'

But-

I want a sniper who's humility and genuine thoughts are that they could never go up against one of the greatest snipers of the world or 'formerly', as Widow says. But actually have decent skill.

They don't even have to be a sniper, hell, they could've dropped the whole sniping thing-

Does something cool and Ana just has a surprised Pikachu face, and the hero is like:

"eh, I'm sure you've done better, it's fine"

I've been brewing with chaotic headcanons all day. Can you tell?

I think the closest character we have to that right now is Cassidy, he isn't as competitive as the other four when it comes to his aim and is even prone to compliment the other fours aim. He actively complements Widow's aim when she gets an elim, compliments Hanzo's aim regularly, says Ana is the only person who could out aim him, the only person he get competitive with is Ashe and even then that was when they were kids.

Even then though it's just the fact he isn't as competitive as those four, he still takes a lot of pride in his aim, he admits that he isn't the best but he still admits that he's a good shot.

Honestly a sniper character who has more modesty then pride, or is just kind of insecure (cause honestly who wouldn't be when you have to snipe against Ana and Widow), would be a breath of fresh air compared to literally everyone else.

I could see this character being a next generation character, either being around Illari's age or even younger, being a completely new recruit to the new Overwatch after the events of the game. If it's the Illari option I could genuinly see them being a character who picked up sniping either because of the Invasion or just because of Overwatch falling.

And I would love to see this character interact with other snipers, cause I think Widow would be a bit awkward cause they wouldn't be challenging her skill, same with Hanzo, and if we go with the little bit insecure route then I the Ashe, Ana and Cassidy would try and give them some confidence.

Depends on the rules. Social rules? He merrily wipes his ass with em as social skills are nothing but a tool to him. I think as ash legion he also tries to play loose with the rules, whatever he can get away with in the legion.

"Ever since I joined the pact I have been more constrained to the rules. Still, I can gain much from playing around where I can. Besides, what Trahearne doesnt see wont hurt right?"

(it does hurt actually, mostly people around him that saw him as a trustworthy leader figuring out he is a manipulative asshole. It takes a while for that to sink in on him).

-Biggest misconception about them?

That he is noble, or sociable. He does very well at maintaining an image but alot of him being the 'hero' is him just failing upwards or just doing well at crafting said image.

-What is their favorite and least favorite part of being the commander (or whatever role they play in your canon)?

He genuinly does like the recognition he gets. In part because it makes manoeuvering easier but also, being recognized is just nice? He'll likely have a crisis at some point about the fact how it snuck up on him that people will generally trust him outright and that he stopped expecting a cloak and dagger game.

His least favourite part is how people seem to have expectations of him, and how he cant really... leave the damage he does behind anymore. It used to be that he could leave behind hurt or hard feelings every time his work was done. He takes it with him now, and he doesnt quite get it.

-Who are some people important to them and what's their relationship to them?

I havent established this one yet beyond Dragon's Watch. Marjory and him are good friends because Marjory sees through his shit and he likes that. He respects Kasmeer because he sees potential for great cunning in her.

Braham and him... I think Braham wont like him, probably lots of broken promises between them (all on Zavrik's side) eventually. Same for Taimi and Rox for that matter.

Rytlock and him... I think he leads Rytlock on for a long time (which, apparently is what Rytlock does to others too it seems). SO the two of them have a weird relationship

I was gonna ask this with the twins in it, but I genuinly don't think they could handle being away from the station for too long so ya boy gets all the attention here:

Guzma and his partner traveling to another region for a while because reader mused that they would love to take on a gym challenge? Guzma may not necessarily care all that much for the league and all, but honestly some of the stuff he says in game make me feel it would do him some good to get away from Alola for a while and go on a roadtrip, don't ask me why. See some other places, meet some bug type trainers who absolutely loose their minds when they see his Golisopod instead of running for the hills, eat some new foods, see what's the big deal about contests and at the end of the day call back home in a video call, holding up a Venonat to the camera while 12 Grunts and Plumeria are squeezed together because everyone wants to say hi to the boss at the same time.

Oooh, I agree! Some time away from Alola to allow Guzma to operate without his Team Skull stigma would do ya boi some good

Guzma is reluctant to follow you to Unova. You're going to be gone for a few months, at the least, and he doesn't know if he can leave everyone behind like that. Plumeria and the grunts encourage him, though, and you promise that if he's too homesick, he's allowed to go home whenever he wants, so he agrees.

You both take a plane, which Guzma hates, and make it Unova a nice twelve hours later. He's pissy when you touchdown, but getting to the hotel and sleeping off your jetlag gets him ready to go again.

You explore the region at a casual pace, taking on the gym challenge together as you go. Your teams are easily able to get you to Castelia City, where Guzma meets Burgh, who fawns so much over his Golisopod that Guzma's ego inflates like ten sizes. Golisopod is also happy for the attention, and for the chance to play with Burgh's Pokémon as the artist pumps out drawings of the large bug at a record pace.

Despite their differing personalities, Guzma and Burgh get along great, and discuss bug Pokémon at length. You spend a lot of time in Castelia City because of it, traveling to the surrounding area to go bug hunting with Burgh

During one of these trips, Guzma stumbles upon a Venipede. He tosses it berries to ease it out, and catches it with such a large, boyish grin. His excitement as he shows the bug to you makes you smile.

The nights are all spent cuddled in bed together, a laptop before you to video chat with the grunts. All of them try to squish into frame, resulting in the wrath of Plumeria, which they never seem to learn from. They're just excited to see you both, and eager to tell you about what they've been getting up to

The riot they throw when Guzma shows them the Venipede he caught and is going to bring home to them earned you both a few noise complaints. But it's worth it to see how excited everyone is, Guzma included

But after a month, you're both ready to go home again. You got enough badges to satisfy you, and Guzma is more confident in who he is as a person outside of his Team Skull role. So the trip was a major success, in your books

The only other regions I could think of were galar and unova, and unova has a bug gym leader, so I was like perfect! and then I realized I've only gotten to the second town in pkmn black and i was like shit!

- Made myself a cup of tea and rewatched Landoscar McLaren reels on instagram

- Read Lacey’s Lestappen & Landoscar Mission Universe sequel and cried tears of laughter followed by tears of pain

- Took a nap because I was emotionally challenged

- Read Celine’s Landoscar Happily Ever After fic and died from cuteness overload

- Binge watched Oscar’s prema videos because, again, was feeling CUTE

- Read Leaf’s Negative Splits AU while watching a hockey game in the background (fitting!)

And I just want to say: you Landoscar fic writers are KILLING IT. I love that there aren’t a TON of fics (though that number is rising!), all the fics that exist are absolutely top notch. Thank you for your service.

I remember I learned of its existence when the movie had just come out. (I wasn't into video games at this point btw, and from my knowlege it was just a standalone movie) anyways, we were gonna see it but we couldn't find anyone to take us.

Fast forward a few years later and me and my Sister were bored and we were like "Hey, remember that one movie we were gonna watch but never did? Well it's free on Netflix rn let's give it a try" and we did! But I'll admit- I don't remember much of it, just a handful of fuzzy scenes, despite it not being that long ago (at least 6-7 years) It was then I actually learned it was based off of a video game. I never really looked into it after that though, because it was 2017, which was the peak of indie horror, and the content was at its finest (imo) so I wasn't really interested in stuff that wasn't Fnaf or Bendy related

Vil isn't a stand out in terms of actions since everyone is on similar level. Meanwhile for asmo? Still playing Nb, but base game asmo? Along with mammon he never directly threatens or endangers the mc. He makes a veiled threat but only after the personal belphie situation but even then a simple I'm sorry seemed enough for him.

yeah I just recently read a post where apparently Vil just get's like hit with the wildest accusations and I'm genuinly wondering how they got these ideas but I'm gonna be honest can't sign of that Mammon and Asmo never threatened/endangered Mc, I mean Mammon did tell Mc to die if he can't help them and the whole Custard incident can be seen as him endagering them, I think Mammon is the only Brother who never threatened to kill Mc though because other than what I said before he never did anything like this and Asmo actually I know that he also did some things but I genuinly can't remember anything but if anybody does I would appreciate it but I feel like a lot of Asmo hate just comes from people's own headcanons because he's the Avatar of Lust and can Charm people and this obviously means he did some shady things with his powers
