Prompt: "I don't care that you're hanging up lights, get off the roof!"
Pairing: Malleus Draconia x Gn!Reader/Prefect/Yuu
Genre: Fluff, Slight hurt/comfort
TW: Reader falls off a roof (but they're okay, don't worry)
Tumblr media
You were a brave human.
Malleus had made this assumption on your second meeting, when you graced him with that silly nickname that he now held so dear. The casual way you interacted with him may have stemmed from your ignorance regarding his true identity, but to see you continue to use it even after learning he was the heir apparent to Briar Valley had left him with a pleasant warmth in his chest and his cheeks.
He adored every part of you, including that bravery of yours that made him fall for you in the first place.
But dear Sevens, that bravery would be the death of him one day.
"Child of man," he called out to you, a mix of puzzlement and concern in his eyes, "what are you doing up on the roof?"
"Hornton!" You visibly brightened as you noticed him, waving your arm so vigorously at him that he feared you would fall from your place on top of Ramshackle's roof. Malleus took a step ahead, worry flashing in his eyes as he looked up at you.
"I'm hanging up some lights for the winter holidays! Ramshackle's gonna look nice and festive this winter," you spoke, showing him the bundle of wires with lights on them that you had next to you.
"Is it truly necessary?" He asked, acutely aware of the pain in his neck from looking up at you. Was this how you felt when you had to look up at him? Now, that would not do; he would have to find a way to make it so that you wouldn't feel any pain in your neck while looking up-
His train of thought was derailed by the sight of you leaning forward almost dangerously. "I'm gonna be fine, don't worry," you told him, a carefree smile on your face.
"Child of man, Ramshackle has no need to be decorated. It is beautiful just the way it is," and so are you, went unsaid. Malleus took a step closer, talking softly and gently, trying to coax you to come down. "Please, come down before you hurt yourself."
"You worry too much Mal-Mal, I'll be fiNE-"
In your attempt to reassure him, you had taken a step ahead on the roof, slipping and getting your leg tangled in the wire.
Malleus' heart nearly stopped as he saw you fall. He casted a spell almost immediately, catching you mid-air with his magic before letting you down onto the ground carefully.
Your legs gave out beneath you from almost falling to your death, and you sat heavily on the ground. Malleus rushed to you, quickly kneeling to check you for any injuries, even though he had saved you with his magic. You rested your hands on his biceps, trembling slightly due to the adrenaline coursing through your veins as you allowed him to look you over.
After making sure you were alright, he pulled you into a hug, his larger frame hiding you from view as he held you close to his chest. You held onto him just as tightly, and for the next few minutes you both just sat in silence, holding onto each other and thinking of what could have happened had he not been there.
"Now I understand what Lilia meant when he used to say that Silver and I would shave years off his lifespan whenever we went off into the forest without letting him know," he said after a few tense moments, voice slightly shaky. Your hands held on tighter at his words, feeling guilty. One of his hands curled protectively over your head, while the other rested on your back.
"I-" your throat felt dry, tight. You couldn't get your words out, even as Malleus waited for you to finish your reply. So you settled on squeezing him tight, trying to make him feel your apology for scaring him when you couldn't put it in words.
"Next time, please allow me to do this sort of thing for you, my dear. Even with how long my life is sure to be, I would rather not deal with such stress ever again," he told you gently, smiling when you nodded, your face hidden against him.
He picked you up, and took you inside Ramshackle, your plans of decorating the roof left for another day.

Coming home for the holidays, birthdays, or other special occasions is somewhat of a family tradition that enables people to slow down and focus on spending quality time with loved ones. These kinds of celebrations give families that may otherwise be estranged from one another due to work or geography the chance to reunite and enjoy each other's company. And this reasoning was no different in the Itoshi household. What was the occasion for this month’s gathering? Well, it was Mama Itoshi’s birthday, of course!
You see, you have known Rin and Sae Itoshi since you were all very young. Your mothers were best friends, and by default, that meant that you three would become close as well.
Growing up with the Itoshi brothers, on the other hand, was . . . interesting, to say the least. Where Rin found your presence to be refreshing, Sae found you to be a nuisance. You didn’t care for football; you got in the way of his practice; and you were a girl. He always thought you were too weak to play with, and he didn’t hesitate to make his feelings known to you. Pulling your hair until you screamed, pushing you around when you weren’t even in his way, and calling you mean names until your little E/C eyes welded up with fat tears were just some of the things he would do to torment you. Had it not been for little Rinnie stepping in and protecting you from his brother’s outright bullying, Sae most likely would’ve continued until you cried to your mom about how mean Sae-chan was to you. But you would never do that. Your little crush on him would never allow you to get him into trouble.
Nii-chan! Don’t be too mean to Y/N. You’ll make her inner crybaby come out!
When Sae was especially cruel to you, Rin was always there to lift your spirits. He would tell you not to worry about his "meanie Nii-chan," take your hand and wipe your tears and snotty face, and lead you up to his room where you two could watch movies and play action figures away from his brother's taunts. Even if he could not take you away right away, for instance, if you three were at the park, he would always come and ride the swings or the big slides with you just to make you happy. Despite Sae’s every protest about how you were nothing more than a distraction to him, Rin, and football, you knew that your friendship was sincere and unbreakable.
As you three went through the ups and downs of childhood, you also weathered the storms of adolescence together. Sae left for Madrid, leaving you, Rin, and your previous feelings for his older brother behind to navigate the social awkwardness of junior high and share in each other's accomplishments while he was with his football team and you were at your respective clubs. Your friendship was a source of strength during those formative years, providing solace and understanding when the world seemed confusing.
As you two approached your high school years, something began to change. Accidental touches felt more like fleeting sparks, while innocent glances became lingering stares. Neither of you fully comprehended your newfound feelings, tiptoeing around the unsaid emotions that seemed to glimmer between the two of you until the day Rin asked you to be his just before entering Blue Lock. Now, for the past three years, you have been a happy couple, embarking on the dreaded hell of adulthood and the next chapter of your lives hand-in-hand.
Back in the present, the two of you were glad that Rin finally had some downtime from soccer—well . . . more so you than him. Even after the events of Blue Lock, he and Sae remained rivals, seizing any opportunity they could to humiliate each other on the field. That being said, Rin was almost always in the gym, meditating, doing yoga, or practicing his skills to pass the time. It was nice to be able to spend time together without the stress of his next upcoming game or press conference.
Because it was his mother's birthday weekend and all, she would, of course, invite her boys to come to stay with her and their father for the occasion, which included you too since you were Rin’s girlfriend. However, in the few days that you and Rin have already been at his childhood home, Sae had yet to arrive, and no one had heard from him since he texted his mother that he was on his way to the airport to depart. Regardless, the family was busy finalizing plans for their mother's big day. Mr. Itoshi was at the bakery finalizing the details for his wife's cake, Mrs. Itoshi was out for brunch with your mother, and Rin had gone for an afternoon jog because "staying cooped up all day will turn him into a lukewarm lard ass," in his words. As for you? You had just begun to rise, completing some housework in one of Rin’s old jerseys and washing the dishes on which you and Rin had just eaten a delicious breakfast.
After completing your tasks, you made your way back up the lavish stairs of their home with every intention of going back into Rin’s childhood room that you two were sharing for the weekend when you froze. Your gaze traveled to the opposite end of the hallway, to the closed door whose presence loomed in the distance—Sae’s room.
Memories from your childhood flashed back to you, of you watching him and Rin play all too violent and scary zombie video games, rewatching his matches, and, most begrudgingly, the numerous times he nudged your head with his foot and tousled your perfectly styled hair just to get a rise out of you.
Cringing internally at the past memories, you took a further step in the direction of Rin's room before hesitating once more.
It wouldn’t hurt to take a little peek inside Sae’s room, would it?
Despite your better judgment, you shuffled over the closed door and paused with your slender digits loosely encircling the handle. Your stomach churned and your heart thumped in your chest as your inner voice warned you not to enter another person's private space without their consent. But hold on—why were you getting anxious? Who was going to catch you when no one was at home? Turning the knob gently, the heavy oak door would give way with the tiniest of creaks, revealing a rather uninteresting-looking room. But given that Sae had rarely if ever, been home since junior high, it only made sense for it to be so plain. Aside from the plethora of trophies, medals, certificates, and framed photos that lined his dresser, what made it even more amusing was that those were only the leftovers from what could not fit in his trophy case beside his wooden dresser, which housed some of his youth team jerseys and junior trinkets.
You crept further into the cold room, wrapping your arms around yourself, and shuffled over to the plethora of awards from Sae's tireless efforts. As much as you weren’t fond of him, you had to admit that it was beyond admirable that a child was able to accomplish so much in so little time. He possessed a natural talent that professionals would kill for and others were envious of. Even though you were never interested in the sport, you envied him for being so naturally gifted at something he was passionate about.
“Some ‘monster genius’, huh?” You scoffed to yourself as your gaze fell on the last photo of Sae and Rin playing on the same team together before their relationship fell apart. Oh, how you miss those good old days of your youth.
“The fuck are you doing in here?”
Coming from behind you, an all too familiar voice startled you out of your reverie. Turning around, your wide eyes came to rest on Sae's form, which was motionless in the doorway, his stoic visage forever unamused, and his overnight shoulder bag resting by his feet.
When did he come in?
More notably, he’s . . . changed from the last time you’ve seen him since the U-20 vs. Blue Lock game three years ago. He was a bit taller, probably around 6’2” now. Because he was wearing a long-sleeved white compression shirt and gray sweatpants, you were able to see that his muscles were more defined than before, with every ridge and curve pronounced more vividly. His maroon locks had grown a bit longer, with his fringes now reaching slightly beyond his chiseled, clenched jaw, though his bangs remained forever lopsided and flipped back. And his turquoise eyes—had they gotten even sharper since the last time you'd seen them? The way they were glowering down at you, it was almost as though they were piercing right through your very soul.
“You deaf or something, you half-brained moron?”
Your eyes rolled exasperatedly into the back of your head as he rudely interrupted your thoughts. Only ten seconds after you reconnected, here he was spewing insults your way.
“Nice to see you too, Sae.” You grumbled sarcastically, internally dreading what this weekend would hold in store for the both of you.
In response, he hummed, remaining motionless in the doorway as his teal eyes bore into you with something unknown. The truth is, while you were distracted by his physical appearance, he was ogling you in the same manner. You had grown since the last time he’d seen you when you were back in high school. Your once innocent eyes now had a glint in them that could only be described as nubile; your once round cheeks had slimmed a bit to fit your maturing features; and your body . . . Damn, have you really grown over the years. You had developed a more feminine frame, with fuller thighs, widened hips, larger breasts, and a more prominent ass. You had developed into a truly breathtaking young woman, despite how much he hated to admit it.
“Almost thought you weren’t going to show at all.” You sighed, lazily checking your nails. “What are you doing here anyway?”
“I live here.” His voice was deadpan and monotone, yet it held an underlying hint of irritation. “All these years have passed since grade school, and you’re still as braindead as when you were a child.”
“And you’re just as much of an asshole as you used to be.”
You resisted the urge to sneer, not wanting to give him the satisfaction that he was getting under your skin, as you dropped your arms to your sides. When you made this motion, his brows would furrow, and he would cast a scrutinizing glare at your choice of clothing.
Talking to him was futile, and you did not want to be in this room any longer than necessary now that he was there. “Good to have you home, genius.” You spat sarcastically, attempting to push past him to exit the room, when all of a sudden his large hand would seize your bicep, halting your steps.
Your head snapped to him, your gaze a mixture of frustration and confusion as your lips parted to shout a rebuttal his way; however, upon seeing the blazing fire that had ignited in his eyes, you hesitated. His eyes narrowed to thin slits, like two fiery coals burning fiercely within his sockets. The intensity of his gaze was enough to send shivers down your spine, making you acutely aware of the gravity of his sudden wrath. His jaw clenched tightly, showing the strain of controlling his rage, and his brows furrowed, forming a menacing V-shape above his oculars.
“What the fuck are you wearing?” He seethed through clenched teeth, his voice deep and full of poorly contained malice.
You blinked. Your jaw dropped as you gawked at him, beyond perplexed. He had caught you so off guard that even you had to check what you were wearing to make sure you were not wearing anything objectionable. Nothing worth offending—fuzzy black pajama shorts that hugged your plush thighs, plain slippers, Rin's worn-out football jersey.
“What are you talking about?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, you coy little slut.”
That silenced you effectively. Your eyes enlarged—almost lamblike—and your pretty lips drew in a subtle gasp. Any previous spark that had been ignited within you had quickly diminished, choosing silence over tossing more gasoline onto Sae’s roaring flames.
It appeared as though his entire being was directing his wrath into his single, piercing gaze as every muscle in his face tightened with each passing second. His lips, which are typically flat or curved into an unamused frown, were now deep-set, corners tugging into an awful scowl.
“Why are you wearing that lukewarm loser’s jersey?” When you should be wearing mine?
Now it was your turn to be infuriated as he insulted your boyfriend—his brother—the same person he had thrown out like garbage all those years earlier. Your heart was pounding so loudly in your chest that you could hear your blood pumping in your ears.
“So I’m not allowed to wear my own boyfriend’s jersey now, fuckface?” His gaze faltered. “You going to call me names for that too, Sae? Pull my hair? Spit in my face? Huh?”
“*What did you just say?”
“I said are you going to—”
“No, you cow-titted bimbo. The first thing you said.” He leaned in closer to your face, his eyes owlish and unblinking since you opened your mouth. You could smell his minty breath from the gum he had been chewing wafting into your face, “Say it again.”
“I’m not allowed to wear my boyfriend’s jersey?” You repeated, confusion etching your tone.
“That.” He snarled, his voice elated in a sick way, as though he had just found out the answer to some legendary riddle.
The hand that had been gripping your bicep now violently jerked you to the side, shoving you into his door. Before you had time to react, he crowded your personal space as his forearm pressed against the wood above your head, allowing you to smell the faint scent of his expensive cologne. “When did that happen?”
The initial fire that fueled his rage now transformed into a different kind of heat, a simmering and bitter envy that gnawed at his insides. He found himself grappling with conflicting emotions - on the one hand, he was somewhat happy that his blockhead of a brother managed to get a girlfriend, but on the other hand, it was you. The same girl that he had been pining over since you were first introduced to him all those years ago. The same girl that he thought was prettiest when she pouted at him with fat tears in her eyes and pleaded with him to be nicer to her. The same girl that consumed his thoughts 24/7. The same girl that he jerked his cock to at night after seeing how her fat tits in that all too small jersey bounced every time she cheered for his brother at that stupid game against Blue Lock. The same girl that, on all of those lonely nights overseas, he wished that, instead of fucking his fist, he was pummeling himself deep in your sopping wet cunt. The same girl that he was about to ruin before his brother got home from his whereabouts.
“Before Blue Lock . . .” Your voice was hushed, barely above a whisper, as though you were afraid of awakening a savage beast.
Three years. Three fucking years, and no one told him?! Not his mother, not his father, not Rin, not your stupid little social media (that he may or may not have been stalking) where you posted pictures of cats, candid photos of your friends, or whatever the fuck you got at your local coffee shop that day—not even you.
His once-obvious fury and visceral expression subsided, simmering beneath the surface in a contained inferno that burned with a ferocity few could fathom. Despite the turmoil raging inside him, he remained eerily calm, his stoic facade masking the storm within.
His demeanor exuded a cold, steely resolve that sent shivers down your spine and, quite frankly, took your breath away. There was an ominous sense of stillness in his presence, as if the air itself dared not disturb the calmness he projected.
“. . . Do you love him?” He spoke in hushed tones, each word enunciated with precision and purpose. There was no need for loud outbursts; the intensity of his calmness alone was enough to make you cower beneath him.
You were dumbfounded by his question, powerless to respond, and yet the longer you remained silent, the more you could see the cracks in his facade begin to scorch through his surface.
“D-Don’t be stupid, Sae. Of course I do, he’s my—”
You would never be able to finish your statement quick enough before his hands were on you, meaty palms digging into your hair, blunt nails scratching against your scalp as he grabbed a visceral hold onto your roots. The searing pain and astonishment coursing through your frame had you shrieking—in what? You didn’t know. Fear? Agony? Guilt?
Using his grip on you as a lead, he would tug you forcefully out of your slippers and down the hall to somewhere unknown. He ignored your screams as the weight atop your head forced your sight to the ground, your manicured nails digging into his wrist and clawing in an attempt to be freed.
“S-Sae, I-I’m sorry! Please, let me go! You’re hurting me!”
He said nothing, his heavy and deliberate footsteps speaking for him before he paused a short distance later. He threw you forward carelessly with surprising strength, causing you to land painfully on the wooden floors in front of you, barely having time to brace yourself with your palms. You had no time to catch your breath, though, as he shuffled over to you with fast-paced footsteps. Looking up fretfully, you would see Sae towering over you, taking notice that you were now on the floor of Rin’s room just before his bed.
“Sae—”
“Sae! Sae! Don’t be stupid; I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” He openly mocked you, his lip curled into the faintest of sneers as he glowered down at you in hatred. Although even you could see that there was a bit of hurt behind his cruel teal eyes, “All you do is flap those pretty fuckin’ lips of yours, never knowin’ when to shut your stupid little trap.”
He relished in the way your bottom lip trembled and your eyes grew glassy, the same way they used to all those years ago.
“Still a little crybaby too, I see. Don’t worry, baby, you’ll be sorry soon enough for leading me on all this time.” He grumbled, lunging for you again.
He snagged at your roots again, drawing a sob from your lips as he mercilessly dragged you to your feet. Releasing his grip on your hair, he instead chose to grab your jaw harshly in his palm, using his thumb and forefinger to squish your cheeks and pucker your lips so that he may smash his lips against your own. It was messy, sloppy, and full of passion and rage on Sae’s end. He smeared your gloss, claimed your brims, and forced his tongue into your pretty, pliant mouth, all with the intention of claiming you and your maw for his own—but you would never let him.
You belong to Rin! You were loyal to him! So then, why do Sae’s lips feel so damn good against your own right now? This was wrong. So, so wrong, and yet, why did you want more of him?
Your mind was cloudy. Your head was spinning. You couldn’t breathe. He was suffocating you. Your dainty fists beat at his beefy chest and shoulders, trying to get him to get off of you, but to no avail. Instead, he seized both of your wrists in the grasp of his other hand and squeezed painfully in a warning, forcing you to whine against his lips—a delightful sound that went straight to his hardening bulge that he shamelessly pressed against you, grinding sinfully against your hips.
When he finally pulled away from you, you clearly appeared dazed. Your eyes were half-lidded and glassy, yet you were silently pleading for him to give you more. Your plump lips had swollen from his being pressed so forcefully against your own, and a singular strand of saliva still connected your lips to his own—one which he would sinfully lick away with a salacious swipe of his tongue.
The hand he used to grab your face gently shook your head back and forth, his sadistic turquoise hues savoring your already fucked-out expression. “There’s the greedy bitch I know and love. Finally decided to show yourself, huh? What? You want more, hm? What about your little boyfriend, princess?”
“R-Rin . . . I love, Ri—” You were cut off when Sae’s expression flared, his hand releasing your face for naught but seconds before connecting with your cheek in a hard slap. You squealed from the impact, your head whipping to the side in shock, but you could not help but feel strangely aroused by the contact. He grabbed your cheeks in his palm once more and tightened his hold on your face, bringing you closer to him until you were nose to nose.
“Don’t lie to me, you little minx.” He snarled as he cut his eyes at you. “You don’t think I’ve noticed the way you’ve been looking at me after all these years, like you wanted me? Or that I haven’t overheard your stupid little conversations about how dreamy you think I am to your friends, huh? Or how about now, when you swear up and down that you love my loser little brother, when here you are already going stupid on me when I’ve barely even touched you?”
You clenched your eyes shut as hot, guilty tears rushed behind your lids. He’s right. You've wanted him—always have—but it was too late now. You were with Rin, and he was the love of your life. You could not possibly change that, could you?
“Just say it, Y/N.” He chided, his voice softer than it was before, yet it still held it’s cold, irritated undertone. “Say you want me, and I’ll make you feel better than that lukewarm little shit ever has.” He released your face and smoothed his thick digits over the top of your head, stopping only when he could rest his fingers beneath your chin and tilt your head to look up at him. Your gaze focused on him once more.
“ . . . I want you, Sae. B-But Rin . . . ”
Sae hushed you again, pressing his lips against yours. How badly he wanted that name to never again be uttered by your lovely tongue. When Sae pulled away again, there was the faintest hint of a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
“We’ll be quick, okay?” A lie. He was going to take his time fucking his brother’s name out of your memory. “He’ll never suspect a thing.”
Your apprehension was palpable, but ultimately you would succumb to sin and let desire and greed rule over logic and reason. You nodded, giving him the nonverbal go-ahead to stomp on the accelerator and never let up.
“Good girl.” He praised you, both hands abandoning your face to now grip at the collar of your shirt. In one swift motion, he ripped Rin’s jersey clean off of you from down the middle. “About time we got that shit off of you. The sight of it was makin’ me sick.” He spat as he tossed the tattered fabric over his shoulder.
You were not wearing a bra, so the violent motion had your breasts bouncing free after being momentarily released from their confines, allowing them to slap softly against the flesh of your rib cage—much to Sae’s viewing pleasure. You grew sheepish as he seemed to freeze, staring so brazenly at your bare breasts that you began to feel a bit self-conscious. Was something wrong? Did he not like them? Was he expecting more? Less?
In reality, the answer was none of the above. The midfielder swore under his breath as he shoved you back onto Rin's cozy comforter. He hastily climbed on top of you and used his body weight to pin you against the bed as his lustful hands began to grope and knead at your supple flesh, eliciting precious mewls with each delightful squeeze. His lips would latch onto one of your breasts as he dipped his head downward; the thumb and forefinger of his free hand would play with the other, teasing your nipples. His sharp teeth bit greedily over the delicate areola as his tongue flicked and laved over the hardening buds. The stimulation only served to heighten your arousal, as evidenced by the way you wailed his name like a sweet song meant only for his ears and how your thighs squeezed together from your excitement drooling from your folds.
This didn’t go unnoticed by Sae, who was busy alternating between pleasuring both of your breasts and growling under his breath, “Lewd fuckin’ body. S’all mine . . .” When he pulled away, there were visible marks left in his wake—light red splotches and indentations of hungry teeth imprinted on your skin.
He reached for the hem of his compression shirt and lifted it above his head, tossing it off to the side as he sat above you, staring lustfully down at you. He would manhandle you further after sliding off of your body. He pulled your shorts down in one motion, grabbed your thick thighs by the backs of your knees, and pushed them up towards your breasts. When he did, he couldn’t help but whistle, admiring how your puffy folds clung together and your inner thighs remained sticky from your translucent arousal.
“Has he ever made you wet like this?” Sae inquired, leering at you from between your thighs like a hungry lion with it’s eyes set predatorily on a helpless gazelle, to which your gaze would quickly avert. You and Rin had such a strong emotional bond that you never felt the need for frequent sex between you two. There were a few times, though, when Rin would fuck you after a winning game in a way that made you see stars, but those were always very far apart.
Your silence was all Sae needed for his answer. He crept back up onto you, chuckling sardonically as he held your thigh up with one hand, using his body to keep your other spread apart. He wanted to see all of your pretty expressions up close and personal when he ravished you. Swiping two of his fingers between your folds, the sudden motion caused your hips to jerk into his touch and you to keen with need.
Slowly, he inserted a single digit inside of you, hissing at how your walls selfishly gripped his fingers and eagerly tried to devour more of him. “Loosen up, will you, greedy slut?” He slapped your thigh with his other hand as your back arched with pleasure. “This tight pussy will never be able to take my cock at this rate.”
You tried to loosen up, you really did, but there was something so delicious—so tantilizing—about his thick, calloused fingers caressing your velvety walls that made you crave more of him. He continued to thrust his single digit inside of you, his teal oculars peering into your own with such intensity that it forced you to look away.
“Stop that.” His hand that grabbed the back of your knee slithered along your outer thigh until he could grasp your chin and force you to look back at him. “Eyes on me.” He ordered, to which you would nod dumbly amidst your pleasured mewls.
You felt the delightful stretch of another of his thick fingers pressing into your sopping cunt, thrusting in tandem with his previous one, as he leaned closer to you and his lips just barely touched your own.
“S-Sae, mmph, more, please, please, touch me more.” You begged, bringing a sinful smirk to the midfielder’s lips.
Unexpectedly, he would comply with your requests, pressing the pad of his thumb against your throbbing clit and rubbing quick, pleasurable cricles with his fingers as he arduously sought out that sweet, sweet spot inside of you. You could not help but start sobbing his name, his thick fingers filling you to the brim even though he had yet to stuff his cock into you. Each time he curled upward inside of you, his impeccable skill had you gasping for reprieve.
It was nothing like Rin’s. His fingers were slightly thinner than his brother’s, but they were a tad longer too, able to reach the deepest spots within you without even trying. Sae's immense precision and experience, which allowed him to know exactly where your sweetest spots lay within you, made up for his lack of length.
“ . . . Are you seriously thinking about him right now?”
You were startled out of your reverie by his curious tone and thinly veiled anger. You tried to focus on his hardened features through your daze, but you couldn’t. The knot in your tummy tightened, and you felt an enormous wave of pleasure wash over you. Something big was coming, and you could feel it reverberating all throughout your core.
“He could never make you feel this good, could he? Never get this pretty cunt this wet for him, hm?” All throughout his monologue, you could hear the sinful squelching of your juices soaking his palm, dripping down his wrist, and splattering onto the floor. You were a mess beneath him. He would abuse that rough patch just along your upper walls until your toes clung to the sheets in ecstasy.
“M’sorry, m’sorry!” You mewled, breath coming out in short, high-pitched pants as you writhed under him, his pace increasing as he felt your walls fluttering around his fingers.
“Who’s making a mess of you right now? Huh? Speak up, princess; let me hear you say it.”
“—You, Sae! You, you, you! Hah, please, I-I can’t . . . ! I-I’m gonna—”
“Do it. Cum on my fuckin’ fingers. Make a mess for me, pretty.”
You did just that. Your body went rigid for naught but a second before your back was arched into him, and your head tossed itself back into the pillows as a chorus of unabashed wails of your release erupted from your pretty, drooling lips. Your release was immense—loud—as a gushing of juices from your pussy thoroughly drenched the sheets, Sae’s sweatpants, his abs, and his entire forearm.
You squirted. For him. For the first time ever.
It was uncharacteristic how an almost feral grin twisted on Sae’s lips, his fingers removing from your sopping cunt to place a few well-directed slaps on your far too sensitive and overstimulated pussy.
“Atta’ fuckin’ girl. Can’t believe my baby brother was keeping such a sweet little succubus all to himself—selfish bastard.”
You couldn’t even hear him; your chest was rising and falling heavily as tears of pleasure ran down your cheeks (and thighs).
“Hey, hey. You still with me?” His tone was soft, his typically impassive visage now meeting your own with furrowed eyebrows and a tinge of concern behind his bright hues.
You nodded—it was all you could muster at this moment, but it was good enough for Sae. He brought his soaking hand to your parted lips, lightly tapping the digits on your plump flesh in a silent command for you to clean him off. He chuckled. Your lithe tongue and eager brims slurped, licked, and sucked your mess off of his thick fingers that were now shoved down your throat without you even needing to be told what to do.
“You wanna do that again for me? On my cock this time, pretty?”
You were exhausted, your body already aching beneath him, but you still craved more from him. Another meek nod was given, your dazed eyes meeting his only to utter around his fingers, words garbled from his fingers on your tongue, “Wantha’ squirth’ awound ya cahwk.”
That was all Sae needed to hear as he stepped off of the bed, making quick work to discard his soaked sweatpants and boxers into the growing pile of clothes at the base of the bed. His large hands grabbed your soft hips, tugging you toward him with ease as he flipped you onto your hands and knees. He let out a growl, his hand raising to smack your plump ass once, then twice, on both of your cheeks before taking big, greedy handfuls of your flesh into his ravenous palms. This was undoubtedly already his favorite thing about you.
Standing by the edge of the bed, Sae placed your body horizontally across the mattress with your head facing the door. With a forceful push of your face down into the sheets, your view of the room instantly became obscured. You craned your neck back, peering at Sae from over the arch of your back as he grabbed one of your fat cheeks in one hand and used his other to line his cock up with your entrance. He slapped his heavy cock against your folds, his blossoming mushroom tip connecting with your throbbing clit making you both keen with ecstasy.
He couldn’t wait any more. He needed to be inside of you. He entered your drooling cunt with a single, calculated push, and your fluttering walls were already trying to devour more of him in response to the intrusion. Sae groaned as his hips met the flesh of your ass once he was buried to the hilt inside of you. His head lulled back as he dug his blunt nails into your flesh.
For the past three years, this—this right here is exactly what he had been craving, yearning over, and lusting for—and now he had it. He nearly came from the feeling inside of you alone, though; he’d be damned if he let the fun stop there.
A steady pace was quickly established by the midfielder's hips, and his long, deliberate strokes were deep enough to feel in your tummy and cause your toes to curl up in pleasure. Having had such a powerful orgasm not even minutes earlier, you were still fairly sensitive; however, that only made things all the more enjoyable.
“O-Oh my god, y-your cock, it’s t-too much, I-I can’t—”
“Don’t tell me you can’t, you cock-loving slut.” He snapped at you, cutting your pleas short with a sharp thrust of his hips. The rhythmic plapping of your ass against his pelvis resonated off the walls of the bedroom, lewdly ringing in your own ears. “This is everything I—we’ve—been wanting for years. Don’t tell me that now, all of a sudden—” He paused, groaning deeply through gritted teeth as you clenched around him. “—That this pretty pussy can’t take anymore when you’re gripping me so desperately.”
“B-But Sae, i-it feels too good! Like I’m . . . I’m gonna make a mess again!” You whined.
He thought it was adorable that even in the most deplorable and deprived of acts, you still attempted to hold some semblance of modesty. Oh, how you were both far past that.
If anything, that just fueled his aggression. He used your words as justification to pummel your poor pussy harder and faster, putting both of his hands on your hips and lower back and pressing his weight against you to force you into an almost painful arch as his pelvis slammed into your ass. Your vision went blurry from his unforgiving pace, and your throat went raw from your cries and screams of pleasure.
“Who’s making you feel this good, huh?” He grunted in between thrusts, a hand raising to land a furious smack on your ass that caused you to mewl and your tiny fists to grip the sheets.
“Y-You, Sae! You are! Ngh, plea—”
“And who’s cock do you like better, huh, princess? Me or that lukewarm fuckface’s?”
You hesitated, but only for a millisecond, as you felt the blunt head of his cock caressing your sweet spot, pummeling into you over and over as your thighs began to shake, growing unable to hold yourself up from the stimulation. His thrusts faltered as his cock twitched inside of you. You figured he was close too.
“Yours, y-yours! Your cock feels so good, I-I’m gonna cum again! I’m ngh gonna cum all over your f-fuck-ing cock!”
He let out an almost animalistic groan, something between a chuckle and a feral snarl, “Yeah, princess? You really mean it?” He moved one of his hands to your hair, threading his fingers through it without yet pulling, almost as if he were waiting for your response.
Your response was almost instantaneous, and the adorable chorus of incoherent babbles and cries of "yes, yes, yes" left your head spinning. You had the sensation that you might pass out completely.
Your head was abruptly yanked out of the pillows, and your gaze was once again forced upward. Your eyes, albeit blurry and glassy, caught sight of the all-too-familiar figure standing in the doorway. Sweat dribbling from his forehead while dressed in a white windbreaker and sweatpants to protect himself from the elements during his jog, stood the one person who filled you with dread.
Rin.
He was back.
As your eyes locked onto the all-too-memorable teal ones boring into your own, your moans ceased. The logic and reason that you had previously dismissed for giving into your desires came flooding back. Guilt, which had been gnawing at the pit of your stomach, reared it’s ugly head once more.
He caught you.
With his brother.
The realization of your actions, the feeling of knowing that you hurt someone you cared deeply about and promised your life to, left you reeling. The enormity of the situation left you speechless and unable to respond.
As the shock slowly gave way to the depths of your despair, tears welled up in your eyes, this time of anguish. Your ability to control your emotions ran out, and you began to sob, letting the tears run down your cheeks. Each tear that ran free was weighed down by guilt and regret.
All the while, Sae never stopped thrusting behind you. Almost as if he remained unfazed by his brother’s—your boyfriend’s—sudden appearance.
“R-Rin—”
“—Save it.”
His initial shock, disbelief, and hurt gradually gave way to something else. He was angry, searing with anger as malice began to rise within him, a blaze of fury that threatened to consume him. Though he wasn’t looking at you, he was looking at . . . Sae?
“You told me you would wait until I got back, Nii-chan.”
The air left your lungs.
. . . What?
Using the grip from your hair, Sae pulled you back into him, pressing your body flush against his own as he craned your neck back into an awkward angle, forcing your gaze to meet his own. A dark and unsettling satisfaction crept into his expression, the corner of his lips tugging into a smirk. His eyes sparkled with a perverse delight, reveling in the twisted pleasure he derived from your adorably bewildered and anguished expression.
Your breath hitched.
Your mind raced for answers.
Sae’s gaze lazily tore from your own and to Rin's, who still remained in the doorway, the forward’s eyes sinfully burning into the way your breasts bounced sinfully from each of Sae’s now slow, agonizing thrusts.
"You know, little brother, it is not too late to join in on the fun."

Yandere! boyfriend x fem reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Malik is the sweetest guy you've ever come across and his charisma doesn't even come at a cost. You've never met anyone, no matter the gender, that was as attentive and humorous as him. Malik could care less if he's making himself look like a fool as long as he's graced with the presence of your heartwarming smile. His humor consists of material you'd only ever expect to hear out of the mouth of a teenage boy which is what makes his jokes so much funnier.
He doesn't need an international holiday in order to spoil you with stuffed animals, sweets and handwritten letters, he already gifts you all those things for the simple fact that he wants to. Malik is always showing up to your shared apartment with a bouquet of flowers in hand as he feels like the worst man to ever walk the Earth if he does otherwise.
Letting you pay for yourself is something he'll never allow you to do, as long as he's with you of course. He can't exactly stop you from doing so if he's not physically next to you (rare occurrence)but he has his own way of handling that issue. He'll notice if you seemed to have purchased something with your own money while he wasn't around, and immediately reach into his pocket in an effort to pay you back.
"You look so pretty, baby. Is that a new lipgloss?" "Yeah it is, I bought it when we were at the market the other day!" "Oh yeah? How much was it, baby? I'll give you your money back, just let me know if you want something next time, okay? I don't care if I look like I'm busy with something else, I have all the time in the world when it comes to you."
While we're on the topic of time I think this is the perfect moment to mention the fact that Malik is extremely possessive over not only you but also your time. Nothing gets him more upset than when the two of you are out together at a public setting and your friends attempt at pulling all of your attention away from him. In reality, your friends are simply making conversation with you and they actually make several attempts at including him in the conversation. This, however, doesn't matter to Malik one bit, he can see right through their 'good people' personas.
Malik practically battles with other people when it comes to having your full attention on him. It's not even a case where you're not appreciating how greatly he treats you, no. He is the one who is urging himself to be the absolute best for you before someone attempts at lifting you off of your feet and away from him. He finds it incredibly comedic when others attempt at acting as if they could ever understand or know you as well as he does. There have been many instances where he's gotten you the perfect gift and he just can't help but look on at the other party attendees with pity, as they all now know that you won't be as satisfied with their presents.
Is Malik a possessive boyfriend (soon to be husband)? Yes. Although, this doesn't mean he won't allow you to have girl trips/sleepovers. If you're having a girls trip in an area with a completely different time zone, this will not prevent Malik from staying up as late and early as he needs in order to call and wish you a good morning.
He will keep you on the phone for extremely extended amounts of time (not that you mind). Your friends could try their absolute hardest at being irritated towards his constant need to be near you and to call you but they just can't. Malik is so sickeningly sweet to you that they'd be seen as bitter people that are just jealous due to the fact they've never been as loved and cared for as you are now.
Malik didn't exactly grow up in the most accepting house hold, even as a child, he felt as though he was constantly walking on eggshells with his parents. His parents were raised with extremely aggressive religious views that would quite obviously intimidate the average person, this caused him to be raised in an environment where even cartoons most people deemed as 'kid friendly' were forbidden. Anything that wasn't blatantly religious was seen as unholy, his parents wanted him to uphold the stereotypical attitude of toxic manhood that even him doing simple acts of skincare were seen as something to 'look out for'.
This extremely damaged environment he was raised in just may be the reason as to why he doesn't speak to his family anymore and why he loves so ferociously, like a rabid animal. I don't know though, it's not like I make the rules or anything.
He absolutely adores doing anything and everything romantic with you, especially within the comfort of your own home. When the holidays roll around, there's nothing he loves more than brewing up two cups of iced coffee, sporting matching onesies, baking Christmas cookies and lighting up the fire place as the moon shines into your shared bedroom window.
Well, there is one thing he loves more than all of that.
That's you.

Enkindle
A sequel to Ignite Son Seungwan 11k words
Tumblr media
*Hey Wendy, are you at practice today?*
Trembling fingers typed out the message, a hesitation lingering in each keystroke. Releasing a deep breath, you then hit the send button. The cold air seemed to thicken—your body grappling with the nerves that had been building up all day. The whirring noise did little to calm the unease as you anxiously waited for her response.
*Hon! Yes. We are about to finish up. Isn’t it early morning where you are now?*
You smile—Wendy has no suspicions whatsoever. The plan is going smoothly.
*I just wanted to start the day right by messaging you first, that’s all.*
*You really know how to make me smile.*
You longed to hear those words from that soothing voice, not distorted behind a microphone or a speaker.
*I miss you so much. Will I see you again for Christmas?*
Her question replaces the nervousness with guilt. You have a definite answer, but she can't know just yet.
The standard excuse would have to do for now.
*Sorry Wannie. I am not sure about the holidays. I’ll keep you updated though, okay?*
*I understand, don't worry. I’m just a bit nervous about our comeback show tomorrow. Wish you were here to see it.*
Seungwan has no idea she's in for such a big surprise.
*You're the best group out there. You're gonna crush it. I will stay up to watch it!*
*I love you. Thank you for always knowing how to cheer me up. Good morning! And good night! :) <3 *
*Goodnight Wannie, I love you too.*
“And see you tomorrow,” you murmur as you look out the porthole. The hum of the engine finally became a comforting backdrop as you neared the end of this carefully orchestrated surprise.  The bright Korean skyline slowly comes into view—the warm glow of lights welcoming you home—as the plane makes its final landing approach to Incheon Airport.
______________________________________________________________
Two years have flown by since you left Korea. The rhythm of your days found a new beat on the chilly streets of your hometown of San Francisco, where you busied yourself teaching choreography classes. You were no longer bound by the constraints of a strict schedule or dietary regimen, relishing in the anonymity that accompanied the bustling life. Rarely did anyone recognize you, and in this newfound simplicity, you were living.
Yet, the plainness of your new life couldn't fill the void that persisted in your heart. No matter how hard you tried to occupy your time, a significant part of you remained in Seoul. You left many friends and family, leaving an unmistakable ache.
Especially the absence of the love of your life.
Despite agreeing to a long-distance relationship, you and Seungwan were entering unknown territory. It terrified you both to the core. But you found a way to make it work, communicating daily through messages and video calls. Whether it was before dawn or late at night, your day wouldn't feel complete without sharing moments with each other. The longing for physical closeness only intensified as time passed—the desire to return to Korea echoed persistently in your mind.
Thankfully, you saw each other a few times last year. The previous visit was for Christmas—nearly 11 months ago. You both knew that these sporadic reunions were not sustainable in the long run. The absence of physical intimacy, the constant effort to maintain emotional connections, and the doubts lingering in your minds all pointed towards an inevitable ending.
But you weren't willing to let it end like that.
That's why, since your last trip, you've been quietly discussing plans with friends and family. This next trip will hopefully be more permanent—a chance for a more lasting connection.
You hated keeping Seungwan in the dark, but on the other hand, you didn't want to give her false hope if the plan fell through. It was more important to ensure this worked for a long-term stay before telling her.
Your musings are interrupted by the last of your luggage passing by you on the conveyor belt. Thankfully, you grab it effortlessly and lump it onto the trolley. With all of your belongings in check, you head outside.
As you exit the revolving doors of Incheon Airport, the icy fresh air of Korea greets you once more in its cold, loving embrace as you step out the doors of Incheon Airport. You have almost forgotten how unforgiving the nippy chill of your hometown can be, forcing you to zip up the rest of your jacket. It is so cold you could see the vapor escaping your mouth as you exhale.
Your phone suddenly rings, making you jump in surprise. You’ve been on guard tonight because you didn’t want news of you arriving in Korea. You quickly check your phone, only to release an exasperated sigh.
*Hey, have you landed yet? :P *
*Sooyoung… I told you not to message me when you’re with Seungwan…*
*So you did land! Welcome back! :P *
*And stop worrying so much! The other three are keeping Seungwan busy. And how will you know where to enter tomorrow? :P *
Inhaling deeply, you release a breath, expelling all the pent-up nerves. Your shoulders gradually relax, a noticeable lightness replacing the tension. Admittedly, there's a twinge of anxiety about tomorrow, but Sooyoung's wisdom prevails—let the plan unfold naturally.
*Fine, fine. What is the plan for tomorrow?*
While waiting for Sooyoung's text, you navigate your trolley through the parking lot in search of your ride to the Airbnb. A distant flash of car headlights grabs your attention. As you draw near, the familiar silver van evokes a wave of fond memories, a visual echo of countless rides to various schedules.
You stand in front of the van—and without warning—the passenger door opens, and someone engulfs into you with a hug.
"You bastard! It is so good to see you again!" Jaesung crushes you with a bear hug, almost taking the air out of your lungs. You manage to reciprocate, laughing as he whips you around like a ragdoll. He was always the most affectionate and most sociable among your group mates.
"Never change, man. Never change. Now let me in the car!"
With the help of Jaesung you get your things in the van and leave the parking lot without anyone recognizing you. With some breathing time, Jaesung catches you up on the latest news around the company.
"And all the new trainees are super talented! We try to be more lenient with them, especially the younger ones in school,” Jaesung says excitedly. He decided to stay with the company and help train the new talent.
“This new role really fits you Jae. I'm glad you stayed.” It helps that Jaesung was the leader of your group before getting disbanded.
“And soon we will be complete again! Once everyone is free,” Jaesung says, a hopeful—and now—realistic wish now that you are here.
"Just focus on your surprise with your 'Wannie' baby," Jaesung adds, his cutesy teasing tone making you cover your face in embarrassment.
The van stops at your destination just in time to save you from more teasing. However, this is not the Airbnb you booked. This actually looks like the subdivision you used to live in.
“Jae, what are we doing here?” you ask him as he helps bring your luggage down from the van.
“This is my surprise to you. Open up your hand.” Fearing another of his famous pranks, you reluctantly open your hand to Jaesung, and he drops you the key to your old apartment—the familiar orange keychain still attached.
“No way…”
“Yeah, way! Don’t worry about it, okay? We talked to the place you booked, and we will figure it out. I kept the place tidy for you. And you got it all to yourself for a week cause I will be out for team building with the trainees. I am sure you will have only one guest over."
You jingle the keys in your hand, a cascade of memories flooding your mind. From returning home after misadventures to triumphant schedules and that unforgettable night when you confessed to Seungwan—that apartment was a safe space for you.
“I don’t know what to say… just thank you so much Jae.”
“Don't get too sentimental on me yet! Now give me another hug.” The two of you embrace. Jaesung is the heart and soul of your group. The brotherly bonds never faded over time—they only grew stronger.
"Rest up. You have a surprise tomorrow. See you next week, lover boy!”
Jaesung enters the elevator, and you wave goodbye to each other. Feeling inspired by his thoughtful gesture, you turn towards the door of your old apartment with newfound confidence in your plan. Just then, your phone rings, bringing a detailed message from Sooyoung about the surprise strategy. A smile slowly spreads across your face until it reaches its edges. The realization hits you like a speeding train—you are finally on the verge of reuniting with Seungwan.

Red Velvet bows and thanks their audience again for coming to support them. They did not want to leave the stage, but they still had lots to do for the next day. The standing ovation reverberates through the concert hall, the thunderous cheers accompanying their descent down a corridor toward the private room. In the wake of their performance, the members of their dedicated staff resoundingly offer their congratulations for yet another triumphant fan-sign event.
The excitement from the event engulfs Seungwan in a surge of dopamine, saturating her heart with indescribable joy—the feeling is still the same no matter how far someone is in their career. Being back on stage and able to perform is a feeling she could never trade away. It distracted her from thinking about other things.
Specifically, it distracted her from her thoughts of him. She really wished he could be there, but she knew affording a flight to Korea was no small feat. Seungwan missed it all—the simple touch of his hands, his cheering that pumped her up, the fiery devotion that set her soul on fire. Missing the love of her life came in waves, and sometimes Seungwan felt she was drowning.
At least for now, Seungwan can surface and put all those negative feelings at the back of her mind and focus all her energy on the comeback.
While they walked, the members stuck close to Seungwan, feeling more affectionate than usual. Sooyoung wrapped around Seungwan’s shoulder, holding her close to her side.
"Such a fun fan sign! I even got this cute toy from this sweet fan," Sooyoung says as she holds out a miniature plushie of herself.
"Hey, why didn't I get one? Obvious favoritism!" Yeri shouts, playfully narrowing her eyes and making the others chuckle.
"It doesn't feel so long since our last comeback, but the feeling never gets old," Seulgi says as she throws an arm around Seungwan’'s waist.
Joohyun, who was ahead of everyone, opens the door to their room and peaks inside. She smiles knowingly—satisfied with what she sees—then closes the door and waits for everyone to come closer.
Everyone stops in front of Joohyun, much to Seungwan's bewilderment. "Is there something wrong?" Seungwan asks.
“I took a quick peek inside and saw something interesting. I think it is for all of us,” Joohyun says as she opens the door and steps inside.
“Oh, a surprise?! Let’s see!” Yeri exclaims excitedly.
Everyone enters the room, but the rest hang by the door to let Seungwan explore first.
The room started off simple with basic furniture. Now, it's transformed, decked out in oriental banners, colorful streamers, and red and black wallpaper that matches the classy Chill Kill theme. Giant balloons proudly declare "Congratulations" on one wall. But the most fascinating part is the center table, adorned with a red gift-wrapped box and a bunch of violets—Seungwan's favorite flowers.
Seungwan is left utterly speechless, her mind swarming with a million questions. Slowly, she approaches the bouquet and spots an envelope with her name on it, casually leaning against the box. As she picks it up, her heart skips a beat or two. The distinct cursive handwriting is unmistakably his.
A rush of emotions hits Seungwan like a tidal wave. As she reached for the thick, cream-colored envelope, Seungwan's hands trembled. The weight of emotions threatened to overwhelm her, and she struggled to steady her breathing as tears blurred her vision. Her heart pounded in her chest, aching with anticipation. Trying to control her shaky fingers, she tore open the envelope and unfolded the letter inside.
Congratulations on the comeback Wannie! Words cannot put how lucky I am to have met you, that my love is yours, and our two lives are woven and welded together. I will always be beside you. I promise.
As Seungwan read the words on the page, her heart began to flutter, and her cheeks flushed rosy red. She couldn't help but embrace the letter tightly against her chest, imagining the feeling of his arms around her. The bouquet of freshly picked flowers, a mystery gift tucked within, and now this heartfelt letter; he always had a way of surprising her. Yet, as grateful as she was for these tokens of love, they reminded her of his absence. The room felt emptier than ever as if it longed for him to fill it with his presence. These conflicting emotions stirred in Seungwan's heart, intensifying her longing for him even more.
“This…this is so beautiful. I really wished you were here,” she says, hoping the winds carry her words to the other side of the world.
“I always got your back.”
Seungwan freezes, her body reacting to that familiar voice—the hairs on her skin rising, hands shaking, and knees threatening to give out. Memories of doubts and fears resurface, remnants of a time when she believed she might never be together with the love of her life again. Those thoughts lingered in the shadows of her mind, haunting her, especially when she was all alone.
Will I ever see him again?
Will he be the same?
Does he truly love me?
Then, that deep, unmistakable baritone voice filled the room, and Seungwan couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort wash over her. She had always held a special place for him in her heart, like a "Reserved" sign on a quiet table in a restaurant—a place she kept safe, hoping she wouldn't be left waiting.
And today, her date had finally arrived.
It was a moment she had been eagerly waiting for, yet also dreading—for Seungwan's biggest fear was losing him and being left alone once again. But she was determined to let go of her fears and embrace him with open arms.
She had worked tirelessly to elevate her love above the paralyzing clutches of fear, constantly striving to better herself so he would see her proud of the growth she had nurtured.
Seungwan believed in miracles and held onto the belief that everyone is meant to live a life full of passion, purpose, and magic. As an idol, it was her duty to share this belief with others and spread positivity wherever she went.
As she turned around, Seungwan finally laid eyes on the one person she had been yearning for so long; her faith was finally rewarded. A warm smile spread on her face as she took in his features. In this beautiful moment, all her worries melted away, and she knew that everything would be okay with him by her side.
______________________________________________________________
It had been approximately 11 months, 12 days, and 23 hours since you last saw Son Seungwan in person. The sight of her now feels like a lightning strike, transporting you back to the moment she first captured your heart. Those full honey lips that speak words of kindness, full moon eyes that seek out the good in people, gentle hair that tumbled in such rich autumnal hues—love grew, yet she still is the same woman you fell so hard in love with.
“Wendy—”
Before you can say another word, Seungwan closes the distance between you and throws herself into your arms with a hug so tight it seems she will never let you go again. You embrace her firmly, taking a step back from the force of her impact. Your collar becomes wet with her tears as she cries out in disbelief while clinging to you. You rub her back soothingly, hoping to alleviate the flood of emotions within her.
"I am here," you repeat to her—and to reassure yourself.
A couple sniffles are heard behind you. "Girls, let's give the two some alone time," Joohyun says as she leads the girls out of the room.
It takes a moment for Seungwan's breathing to slow. She pulls away from the side of your neck, those hypnotic brown eyes finally meeting yours.
"Ow!" you suddenly cry out as a sharp pain between your shoulder blades shoots up; Seungwan's hand connects with your back.
“How could you do that to me? Making me cry in my makeup and in front of the girls. They are going to tease me to death…” Seungwan says with a pout, but her eyes beam with radiant joy.
Using your free hand, you retrieve a handkerchief from your pocket to gently dab away the excess tears and makeup that had smudged her face—though she was beautiful regardless. When finished, you return the cloth to its place and hold her face in your hands.
Unfortunately, you could not contain the guilt that was eating you up. “I am so sorry. I didn't want you to hold on to any false hope. I needed to be sure I could stay here longer. I am so sorry–"
Seungwan's velvety lips claim yours with such passion that the weight of any apologies you carry melts away. Your body responds instinctively to her warmth, your lips dancing in perfect unison with hers. As you close your eyes, you are enveloped in a sensory symphony—the plush sensation of each kiss, her favorite fruity perfume invading your senses, and the hint of her sweet strawberry lip tint adding to the intoxicating experience. Your hands move from her face to her shoulders, pulling her closer in a warm embrace as you reacquaint yourself with the feeling of her touch. She sighs contentedly, drawing you nearer as if coaxing out more breath from your lungs.
She breaks the kiss, leaning on your forehead, catching her breath. "Don't you dare say sorry, please. You are here, and that means everything to me."
You exhale, the tension finally dissipating from your body. “Okay. Okay, I won’t.”
“How did you manage to plan all of this?” she asks as she thumbs your cheek and caresses your chin.
“A couple months worth of planning. I had to coordinate a lot with your members and manager.”
“How long are you staying?”
"Actually… that’s the best part. I am planning to stay in Korea. Possibly for good." The words roll off your tongue effortlessly.
Seungwan's jaw drops, the words short-circuiting her mind in disbelief. "Wait… you’re not leaving?"
You smile, realizing the weight of your words. “I am here to stay.”
Seungwan snuggles into the warmth of your embrace, her laughter ringing in the room in pure disbelief and happiness. After moments of tears, this was a welcomed change, a beautiful call of joy filling the room as she hugged you tighter. Lifting her off the ground, you spin around in an impromptu dance, caught up in the euphoric moment. The realization that you can now share your life together after being apart for so long hits you both with a rush of emotion.
"Wait, did you just propose?!"
"And did you say yes?!"
"Girls! Let them have their moment!"
The rest of Red Velvet stands by the open door, Sooyoung and Yeri playfully held back by Seulgi and Joohyun. You stop and gently set Seungwan on her feet as the others eagerly await your answer. With the moment gone, you intertwine your fingers with hers, content to bask in the romantic moment amidst your friends' presence.
"Don't worry about it. We'll have plenty more opportunities," you say as you lay a gentle kiss on Seungwan's hand. She leans on your shoulder, attempting to conceal her face, not as confident yet in displays of affection in front of her group.
“Ew, too cheesy. I will let it go for now since we get to see Wendy squirm like this,” Seulgi says, holding up her phone to take some pictures. “Did you open your gift yet?” Joohyun asks Seungwan.
You see the gift box left unopened. Letting Seungwan go, you grab the gift and hand it to her. “Go ahead! I can’t wait for you to see it.”
Seungwan unties the ribbon, allowing it to gracefully fall to the ground. She carefully removes the wrapping paper, revealing a simple black box with no distinguishing features. As she gently shakes it, a faint rattling sound can be heard from within. Intrigued, she lifts the lid, revealing a stunning silver heart necklace. You watch as she becomes enamored with the necklace, running her fingers over its texture and holding it up for a closer look. The other girls gather around her, gushing over the romantic gift.
"I know you already have almost everything, but I wanted to get you something special. Something I haven't given you before... so here it is." Your words come out slightly nervous, unintentionally giving away your feelings, but Seungwan wraps you in another warm hug.
"It's perfect. Will you put it on me?"
She turns around, lifting her hair to expose her slender neck. You take the necklace and delicately place it around her neck, securing the clasp. Turning back around, Seungwan beams at you and plays with the heart pendant hanging from the chain. It does look perfect on her.
"You look beautiful."
As Seulgi snaps a photo and the rest of the girls coo in admiration, this romantic moment is now captured in both of your memories. Your hand seeks hers again, intertwining your fingers and savoring her tender touch.
"Will you join us for dinner?" she asks.
"I wish I could, but I've got to see my grandparents tonight." You catch Seungwan's slight pout, but you squeeze her hand reassuringly.
"I know the group is busy tomorrow, so I made sure to reserve you all to myself the day after, okay?"
Seungwan glances at her group, and they nod back reassuringly. You've ensured a whole day-date, a semblance of a regular routine day with her.
"You really planned for everything. I'm so excited for our day together," she says, kissing you on the cheek.
"And thank you, girls, you've all been amazing with the planning," you acknowledge the girls.
"You better make sure not to hurt her, okay?" Joohyun threatens though the laughter that ensues indicates she's only joking.
As everyone pitches in to help the staff dismantle the decorations, you catch up with the rest of the group. Tomorrow is slated with radio promotions and another music show. Yeri teases about her solo album for next year, adding extra motivation for this comeback. Sooyoung shares updates on her dating life with Crush. Joohyun plans to focus more on acting, while Seulgi is gearing up to delve deeper into studying music production. With the tidying up almost complete, you accompany the girls to the exit.
"I'll see you in two days, okay?" You embrace Seungwan, inhaling her sweet, flowery perfume, still in disbelief that she's in your arms.
"I will. I'm so happy you're back." Seungwan places a tender kiss on your lips before joining the rest of the girls outside.
Finally, alone in the hallway, you slowly lower yourself into an empty chair, a wave of mental and emotional exhaustion washing over you from the whirlwind of the past couple of hours. As you sit there, you can't help but imagine the countless plans for your upcoming date with Seungwan—the words you want to say, the moments you want to share.
“It’s a date.”

“Stupid jetlag!”
You quickly try to freshen up, one hand clutching onto your towel while the other manages a toothbrush in your mouth. The relentless jet lag caused you to sleep through the alarm. Seungwan is about to arrive, and you're not even close to being ready.
After a quick mouth rinse, you rush to your closet to look for the outfit you meticulously planned for the day. Just as you pull your shirt over your head, the doorbell chimes.
"Hold on a sec!" you shout as loud as you can.
As you finish adjusting your shirt and straightening your collar in the mirror, you notice a few stray hairs and quickly tame them with a comb. You double-check your pockets to make sure you have everything you need before confidently heading towards the door. But before turning the knob, you pause and take a deep breath, mentally preparing yourself for what lies beyond. With a calm exhale, you twist the doorknob and are greeted by a breathtaking sight.
Seungwan radiates confidence in her stylish winter ensemble, a crisp white coat effortlessly draped over her figure. Underneath, an oversized black sweater and a pair of form-fitting jeans show off her curves. Her smile is infectious, lighting up her cheeks that you love to pinch. Her luscious chocolate-hued locks fall freely around her shoulders, the delicate snowflakes adorning them like jewels in a crown. Seungwan's impeccable sense of fashion only adds to her breathtaking beauty—she could make heads turn at every corner.
“It's rude to stare, love,” she playfully chides, the familiar line eliciting a smile from you.
"Sorry, I'm not used to seeing snow angels walk."
"Ugh, too cheesy and still a terrible flirt. You need to relearn my tricks," Seungwan teases, and the two of you share a warm hug, sealed with a chaste kiss on your lips.
"I could use a refresher course. Maybe with a private demonstration?"
"Now, that's a bit better," Seungwan giggles, seemingly satisfied with your response. Banter with her feels as natural as breathing.
"What was with all the noise a while ago?" she asks.
You blush, scratching your head in embarrassment. "You heard all of that? I… kinda woke up late. I was pretty excited for today."
"You are so adorable. What are we doing today anyway?" she asks, sliding her gloved hand into yours.
"Lunch out, grocery shopping after, then I cook you a nice dinner back here. We end the night with a nice movie. How does that sound?" After closing the door, you lead Seungwan by the hand, embarking on a journey towards your date.
“That sounds like a lovely day.”
Today is the dreaded Monday, marking the start of a new work week. As you board the train, you find it teeming with all sorts of individuals—from diligent students to dedicated salarymen, engrossed in the routine of their daily commutes. The air carries a palpable sense of anticipation, passengers absorbed in their smartphones, occasionally stealing glances in expectation of their respective stops.
However, for you, Monday unfolds as a comforting embrace of normalcy. This is an opportunity for you and Seungwan to revel in the simple authenticity of being yourselves—even if it is just for today. The disguises you two have ensured you won't be recognized, allowing yourselves to go with the flow of people. To the casual observer, you and Seungwan appear as just another couple navigating their way through the ordinary rhythm of a morning commute.
“Arriving at Myeong-dong Station. Please exit on this side"
"This is our stop; let's go! Ready for some lunch?" you ask, leading Seungwan through the sea of people in search of the exit.
Emerging onto the bustling Myeong-dong Shopping Street, the air becomes an enticing medley of delectable aromas from the food vendors. Amid the crowd, you instinctively draw Seungwan closer, ensuring she doesn't get lost in the lively atmosphere. The vendors enthusiastically beckon passersbys to sample their diverse specialties. The sizzling sounds emanating from the pans awaken your appetite, making you lick your lips in anticipation. Although it's been a while since your last visit, the enchantment of this place floods you with cherished memories—and sparks the potential for new ones in the future.
"Anything in mind? You've got an endless supply of food choices." It's been more than a year since you last visited, and the place is surprisingly bustling for this time of day.
Seungwan squeals in joy, already tugging you around to explore the food stalls. "Then what are you waiting for? Let’s go!!"
You observe as Seungwan scans the vibrant street, her eyes searching for anything interesting among the colorful food stalls. Suddenly, her gaze locks onto a stall with skewers. As you both draw closer, the irresistible scent of grilled meat wafts through the air, captivating your senses. The cook applies a generous layer of butter on the hot grill before slowly placing a square Wagyu cube onto the surface. You both watch in anticipation as the meat begins to sizzle and cook to perfection, the savory aroma intensifying with each passing moment.
"How about these? They look amazing!"
Agreeing with her choice, you both approach the vendor. They greet you with a friendly smile as you pick a variety of skewers—odeng, succulent meats, and even some grilled vegetables. You grab the first of the sticks, giving one to Seungwan. Her eyes light up with delight as she chews into the beef.
"This is so yummy! What's next?"
As you and Seungwan wander through the bustling street market, your eyes dart from one colorful food stall to the next. The sweet aroma of freshly made pancakes entices you, while spicy tteokbokki calls Seungwan from a nearby grill. You both eagerly try different dishes, laughing as you compare flavors and textures. Your stomachs eventually reach their limit, and Seungwan spots a cozy café tucked away in a quiet corner. With relief, you sink into plush chairs, relishing the memories made and the delicious treats still lingering on your tongues.
“I’m stuffed, the tteokbokki finished me,” Seungwan says as she rubs her stomach, sitting down next to you.
“That’s because you had two servings,” you tease, earning you a slap on the shoulder.
“I can’t help it if it's my favorite snack.”
Relaxing in the warm and inviting atmosphere of this café, you chat casually while enjoying your hot chocolate and Americano. Seungwan leans against you comfortably, and together you watch people walking by outside. The usual stress of strict managers, rabid fans, and a rigid schedule fades away as you both savor the simple joy of being in the present moment.
"Ready to move?" you ask, and Seungwan nods after sipping the last of her drink. Slipping back into the lively crowd, you guide her to the next destination—an inviting supermarket.
"Next on our agenda: grocery shopping! Any special requests for tonight's menu?"
Seungwan ponders for a moment, her expression playfully pouting in thought. "I've been craving some spicy beef soup lately... that's not too difficult, right?"
"Not at all! We can definitely do that. The ingredients should be easy to find," you assure her with a grin.
You push a grocery cart confidently through the supermarket, starting with spices and making your way to vegetables before finishing with the crucial component: meat. Seungwan's sharp eye spots the perfect beef brisket, and you add a bottle of soju for a tasty pairing.
At the cashier, you hand over your card and notice the lingering gaze of the cashier as he inspects your name with a subtle smile on his lips. He nods at you, hinting at recognition. Seungwan looks over, also confused by the cashier's behavior.
After paying and packing up your groceries, the cashier bids farewell with a friendly wink.
"Thanks for choosing our store.”
"I always have your back!" he adds.
You're taken aback by his words—your catchphrase.
As you leave the store, a sense of comfort washes over you thanks to the subtle acknowledgment from the cashier. It's a reminder that you can make an impact, and this thought stays with you as you step back into the busy streets.
“We should take a taxi; we got a lot of stuff to carry,” you suggest.
The clock strikes 4:00 pm. The blazing tangerine sun begins its descent, painting the cerulean sky with a stunning vermillion glow. The streets are bustling with even more people, their voices blending in a symphony of noise. After searching for a while, you finally hail a taxi to take you home. As the car navigates through the bright city lights, Seungwan rests peacefully on your shoulder. You can't help but reflect on the day that has passed—a whirlwind of emotions, shared laughter, and moments with someone who truly understands you. Though this adventure has ended, the warmth it sparked lingers, promising an intimate evening ahead.

The keys jingle in your hand as you insert them into your front door, the metallic locks engaging as the knob turns. "Finally, home sweet home."
You place the groceries in the fridge, waiting to be used for tonight's cooking session. Beyond the kitchen lay the soft glow of the living room, ready to cradle you both in the embrace of a movie night. As the sky turned into a black carpet peppered with shining stars,  the possibility of a connection transcended the ordinary, etching the day into the tapestry of unforgettable memories.
"Hey, want to take a break before we cook?" Seungwan suggests, patting the empty space beside her on the couch.
"We?" you inquire as you settle next to her. Seungwan pulls you in, her arms encircling your waist, snuggling closer. "I don't mind the help, but today is all about you."
Seungwan giggles, rewarding you with a quick peck on the lips.  "You're always so thoughtful, but it’s our day. Plus, how will I know you won't accidentally set the place on fire?"
"Oh, you might be surprised by how much I've improved," you counter, playfully jabbing a finger into her side and attacking her ticklish spot. Seungwan bursts into laughter, thrashing your arms.
"Wait! Enough! Okay, I trust you for later! Now hush, and let me cuddle with you a bit longer."
You both sink into the plush fabric of the couch, her body pressed against yours. The room is quiet except for the sounds of her steady breaths, which match the gentle movements of her chest. Your fingers slowly explore her smooth skin, rediscovering every inch of her porcelain complexion. In this peaceful moment, you exchange soft kisses on each other's foreheads and cheeks, occasionally lingering on each other's lips in a tender embrace.
The peace is abruptly broken by the sound of your stomach growling like a machine, making the two of you howl in laughter.
“How are you always so hungry?”
“I mean, we did walk around a lot today. Come on, dinner won’t cook itself.”
After washing your hands, a delightful surprise awaits as two arms lovingly snake around your waist. Turning around, you find Seungwan with a mischievous grin, playfully tying an apron around you. "Ready to showcase your cooking prowess?"
"Absolutely prepared to dazzle you with my culinary magic!" you exclaim, punctuating your words with an exaggerated twirl of your hands. Gathering the groceries from the fridge, you arrange them across the kitchen counter in a colorful display.
"Magic, huh? Well, I'm ready to be enchanted. What's our first spell?" Seungwan quips.
You slide the vegetables and the wooden chopping board over to Seungwan. "How about you work your magic with these? Chop them up while I prepare the meat."
Seungwan nods eagerly and grabs a nearby knife. She grabs a radish and skillfully chops it into uniform squares. Meanwhile, you expertly portion the meat into chunks, placing them into a generously sized pot you had readied earlier.
Amid the rhythmic chopping, you lean close to Seungwan, your warm breath sending a shiver down her spine. "You know, you're the best chef any culinary wizard could ask for."
Her cheeks blush with a delightful warmth. Seungwan steals a quick kiss on your cheek before cheekily pushing you away. "Keep those compliments coming, and I might just grant you access to a... special tasting."
“Be careful, I would do more than just taste,” you quip back, making Seungwan blush even more than the spices she is expertly mixing.
It takes a while to carefully arrange all the meat and radish into the pot. After setting the heat to medium and closing the lid, you join Seungwan in cutting up the rest of the vegetables. In the midst of the chopping, you open the fridge, retrieving the bottle of soju. You uncork it, pouring a shot for each of you. Tapping Seungwan's shoulder to grab her attention, you propose a toast.
“Let’s take a quick break before I check on the meat. What should we toast to?” you ask, raising your glass to Seungwan.
She reciprocates the gesture, intertwining her hand with yours. “To us. I still can’t believe you are here; it means the world to me. Thank you for the best surprise ever”
“To us.”
The two of you clink your glasses and then down the shot, savoring the sweet strawberry flavor swirling around your tongues and down your throats. A swift kiss on Seungwan's forehead punctuates this intimate moment before focusing back on the simmering pot.
With practiced precision, you carefully remove any impurities from the stew and discard them in the waste can. A satisfied grin spreads across your face as you examine the perfectly cooked meat, even inserting a knife to confirm its tenderness. You add it to the bowl of spices Seungwan has meticulously prepared, and you mix everything together with care, taking turns when one of you gets tired. Once everything is well-mixed, you transfer the flavorful combination into a clean pot, turning up the heat and sealing it with a lid.
All that remains is to wait for the 15-minute timer to sound off. As you head back to the couch, you notice Seungwan making her way to your bedroom with her bag in tow.
"I'm going to take a quick shower. And no, you can't join. Not yet, anyway," Seungwan declares, followed by a playful giggle and a wink in your direction.
You stare, dumbfounded, as Seungwan gracefully removes her shirt in one fluid motion. A fleeting glimpse of her bare back adorned with a red lacy bra almost takes your breath away. But before you can fully process the sight, her discarded t-shirt is suddenly covering your face, obscuring your view. You hear the door to your room close and know she's left, but a soft laugh escapes your lips as you fold her shirt and place it on the couch. With some time alone, you browse through popular romance movies while eagerly anticipating the intimate magic that will unfold with Seungwan after her refreshing shower.
You stumble upon the perfect movie just as the alarm announces that dinner is finally ready. Swiftly turning off the TV, you make a beeline for the kitchen. Lifting the lid, you give the stew a stir before seizing a spoon to sample the creation. The spicy tang of the soup dances on your tongue, each spice contributing to a delightful symphony of flavors. The vegetables are cooked to perfection—soft and infused with the spices. You relish the rich essence of the meat, savoring its tenderness as you taste a piece.
“I heard the alarm! How does it taste?” Seungwan's voice echoes from the hallway, her footsteps drawing nearer.
“Try it yourself! You are in for a treat.”
Seungwan strolls into the kitchen, clad in an oversized black long-sleeved blouse, paired with her favorite gray sweatpants. The ensemble is simple yet exudes comfort and elegance. As she glides past you to fetch a spoon, the delightful scent of her favorite fruity shampoo lingers in your mind, causing your heart to flutter ever so slightly. Observing her tasting the soup, you witness her face light up like a Christmas tree, a radiant expression that adds warmth to the homey kitchen atmosphere.
"Wow, that Yukgaejang is delicious! Consider me charmed, my magical chef," Seungwan exclaims, accompanying her words with a high-five.
"Glad that it impressed you. Couldn't have done it without my wonderful sous chef," you respond with a grin.
"You've definitely stepped up your game! Come on, let’s set the table; I'm starving!"
Together, you and Seungwan set the table with plates and silverware for two. You carefully place the pot on a sturdy surface so that it will not damage the delicate cloth underneath. Seungwan brings over the already open bottle of soju and pours two shots. The fragrant stew is served, and you both sit at the table, ready to enjoy the fruits of your culinary collaboration.
Seungwan raises her shot glass, proposing a toast once again. “What should we give thanks for this time?”
You pause, deep in thought, while you rest your chin on your hand before coming up with an answer. “Let's toast to a successful comeback for you! I hope you get to showcase your beautiful voice even more.”
Seungwan's cheeks turn a deep shade of red as she laughs in delight at your praise. Together, you down the shot and quickly express gratitude for the food before eagerly digging in.
The meat was cooked to perfection, a tender and succulent masterpiece that effortlessly parted with every bite. The blend of spices was impeccable, offering a subtle sting that elevated the flavors and made your taste buds dance. As you sipped on the smooth soju, it complemented the meal in perfect harmony, adding a touch of warmth and depth to each dish. Your conversations with Seungwan were seamless, transitioning between updates from the fast-paced idol world to the simple nuances and joys of your everyday lives. The laughter and chatter rose and fell like a soothing melody, creating an atmosphere of comfort and closeness amidst the feast before you.
Seungwan savors the last spoonful of her soup, letting out a satisfied exhale and tenderly rubbing her stomach. "Okay, now I'm absolutely stuffed. It tasted just like Mom's cooking!"
"I've been practicing some of your favorite dishes, just in case," you confess, avoiding direct eye contact. Nervousness tingles through you as you admit this, the desire for the evening to be perfect for her evident.
"You're such a sweetheart. Thanks for remembering." Seungwan rises from her seat, dashing over to you and enveloping you in a tight, appreciative hug.
“Anything for you.”
The two of you tidy up the remnants of dinner, carefully storing the leftovers in a Tupperware container. After placing the food in the fridge, you excuse yourself for a quick shower while Seungwan prepares for movie night.
Under the soothing stream of hot water, you reflect on the special day spent with her. Usually, plans can fall apart, yet tonight has been nothing short of perfect. You hope there are little days like these to share with her in the busy years to come. After a brisk drying off and a quick change of clothes, you find Seungwan engrossed in her phone, a bowl of popcorn perched on the table, and the movie already queued up.
“What's the movie about?” Seungwan inquires as she cozies up to you, resting her head on your chest. Your arms envelop her waist, and your legs naturally intertwine with hers, creating an intimate embrace.
“It's called 'Nothing Serious.' So it's about two strangers who despise dating but meet through an app. Sounds cliché, but Sooyoung highly recommended it.”
"I'm a total sucker for these chick flicks! What are we waiting for?" she exclaims, eagerly reaching for the remote and clicking the play button.
The film seemingly starts with a standard storyline: two individuals, weary of the dating scene, decide to give a dating app one last shot. Yet, what captivates you about the movie are the authentic characters and a plot that unfolds with logical precision.
Personally, you find a connection with the male lead. The character arc, shifting from one job to another, mirrors the quest for a stable connection—echoing the cycle of moving from one relationship to the next, hoping for something enduring.
On the flip side, the female lead exudes stability but carries the baggage of a long-term relationship. Certain aspects of the character evoke thoughts of Seungwan, and you find yourself entirely absorbed in the narrative.
As the movie progresses, you can't help but steal glances at Seungwan. Her eyes are fixed on the screen, her expression a mixture of amusement and contemplation. These little moments make you realize how lucky you are to have her by your side. The warmth of her body against yours creates a sense of comfort, a feeling that makes you believe in the power of relationships.
Lost in your thoughts, you find yourself wondering about the future. Where do you see yourself and Seungwan in five years? Ten years? The possibilities seem endless, yet you can't help but feel a tinge of apprehension. Will your relationship withstand the test of time? Will you both be able to navigate the challenges that life throws your way?
But as you steal another glance at Seungwan, her eyes meet yours, and all the doubts wash away. In this moment, it's as if time stands still, and the worries about the future fade into insignificance. Today, with all its wondrous details, comes rushing back to you—the laughter shared over lunch, the gentle touch of her hand on yours during groceries, and her smile lights up the room during dinner.
Seungwan, sensing a shift in your mood, pulls away slightly and looks at you with concern etched across her face. "What's wrong?" she asks softly, her voice filled with genuine worry.
You take a deep breath, gathering your thoughts before responding to Seungwan's question. You reach out to her and gently cup her face, your thumb tracing circles on her cheek.
"Nothing is wrong, Seungwan," you assure her, mustering a small smile. "I was just lost in my thoughts, thinking about how lucky I am to have you in my life." Her expression softens as she leans into your touch, her arms slowly intertwining around you.
"You're the one who makes me feel lucky every single day. You found a way to keep us together and found a way back to me," she whispers, her voice filled with tenderness.
"I know we've both had our fair share of ups and downs, and the future can be uncertain," you confess, your voice tinged with vulnerability. "But being here with you. Right now. In this moment, I believe we can face anything together."
Seungwan's eyes glisten with tears. "I believe it," she replies softly. "We've weathered storms, and nothing could make me happier. We can do this. Together. For the rest of our lives."
You sit silently for a moment, letting Seungwan's words sink in. She's right, you think to yourself. You've faced obstacles and challenges before, and you've come out stronger together. The doubts and uncertainties about the future fade as a renewed sense of hope and determination washes over you.
With every passing day, your love for each other grew powerful. You navigated through life's challenges hand in hand, supporting and encouraging one another every step of the way. Together, you inspired each other to reach for the stars and chase after your dreams.
As the movie climaxes, you and Seungwan inch closer to each other on the couch. Your eyes flicker from her luscious lips to her awaiting body, unable to decide where to focus first in this moment of intense desire. Your heartbeat thunders in you—overcharged like a thundering storm about to unleash its power. It's as if all the love and passion built up over the years together is now coursing through your veins, causing every nerve ending in your body to spark with electricity. Adrenaline surges through you, making it impossible to sit still as you feel yourself being pulled closer to Seungwan by an irresistible force. The warmth of her body seeps into your skin, making your heart race and your nerves tingle.
Seungwan's almond-shaped eyes flicker with a potent mix of desire and vulnerability, revealing the intense emotions below the surface. They dart between your eyes, lingering on your lips with an almost palpable hunger. A glossy sheen coats her full, pouty mouth as she licks it hungrily, biting down gently with trembling anticipation. Each rise and fall of her chest is like a heavy drumbeat, her breaths coming in labored gasps that fill the air with heated tension. The deafening silence between you is only broken by the sound of her clothes rustling as her thighs rub together uncontrollably in response to her overwhelming desire for you.
Your other hand trembles as it reaches out to cup Seungwan's face, the need to touch her overwhelming. Your fingers trace every curve and angle of her jawline with aching tenderness, reveling in the softness of her skin beneath your touch. Her breath hit ever so slightly as her eyes searched yours, their depths filled with longing and desire. In this shared gaze, you find solace and reassurance—a silent understanding of all that has led to this moment. The stolen glances whispered confessions, and unspoken declarations culminated in this intense and electric connection between you both.
The flickering images on the screen were a mere background to the intense emotions coursing through the two of you. Seungwan's arms now fully enveloped you, her hold so tight it felt like your ribs might crack under the pressure. Your gaze locked with hers, igniting a fire that burned hotter with each passing second.
Your voice shook as you bared your heart, desire burning within you.
"I can't hold it in anymore. I need you. Right here and now."
Seungwan's lips curve into a knowing smile, and you lean in to kiss her softly. The taste of her cherry lip balm lingers on your lips as she responds eagerly, her hands tangling in your hair. The heater crackling in the background pales to the heat radiating between your bodies. You can feel Seungwan's quickened breath against your neck as you press closer, your kisses growing more urgent with each passing moment.
Without breaking the embrace, you slowly guide her back onto the plush couch cushions, your body hovering over hers. The sounds of the movie playing on TV fade away as your senses are consumed by the intensity of desire and passion between you.
Your hands explore every inch of Seungwan's body, tracing the curves and contours that have become so familiar to you. You revel in the softness of her skin, the way her body arches beneath your touch, and the way she responds to your every caress.
As your lips continue their dance, your hands find their way to the hem of Seungwan's shirt, slipping underneath the fabric and grazing over her heated flesh. A gasp escapes her lips, mingling with the soft moans that escape your own mouth. The hunger between you intensifies a raw and primal need that cannot be denied. With trembling hands, you begin to undo the buttons of her blouse, revealing the swell of her breasts and the lacy fabric of her bra. Your mouth hungrily finds its way to her collarbone, peppering kisses along the delicate curve that hits her sensitive spot that you know drives her crazy, Seungwan moaning even louder into the room.
Her hands grip your chest, her nails digging into your skin as she pulls you closer. The taste of her desire fills your mouth as your lips move from her collarbone to the exposed skin on her chest. You can feel her heart pounding against your lips, matching the rhythm of your own racing heartbeat. The room is filled with an electric energy, each touch igniting a fire within you. You feel the weight of the moment, the merging of souls and bodies in perfect harmony. Seungwan's fingers then fumble with the buttons of your shirt, a sense of urgency driving her actions.
As Seungwan unbuttons the last of your shirt, a cool breeze hits your exposed chest. You and Seungwan pause from your passionate kiss, resting your foreheads against each other. With one final kiss, Seungwan whispers, "Let's go to your room. Right now."

Seungwan's mind is a jumbled mess of hunger and desire, the sensation swirling through her veins like wildfire. Her voice shakes with urgency, igniting a flame that had long been dormant. Without hesitation, they hurry towards the bedroom, their steps quickened by anticipation and longing.
The dimly lit room transforms into a sanctuary, a haven where time seems to stand still, allowing only the essence of the two souls to matter. The gentle radiance from the bedroom lamp creates soft shadows on the walls, casting an intimate aura over the space. Positioned at the edge of the bed, he locks eyes with Seungwan, a gaze that sends shivers down her spine in response. In this moment, there's an unspoken understanding that transcends mere physical desire. It's a culmination of emotions, a profound connection that defies verbal expression.
Seungwan moves towards him with deliberate steps, her every movement is laden with purpose and anticipation. Her hand extends, fingers trembling ever so slightly, and he responds by intertwining their fingers.
His free hand glides along the contours of her body, leaving a trail of tingling sensations in its wake. Seungwan's breath catches as he leans in, his lips gently brushing against her earlobe, eliciting shivers all over her body. "I've been waiting for this moment," he whispers, his voice octaves lower.
He is typically gentle and soft-spoken, but when his voice deepens, taking on a commanding tone, Seungwan finds it irresistibly sexy when he assumes control. With assertiveness, he leads Seungwan onto the bed, where their bodies sink into the plush mattress. Their lips meet once again, but this time with an intensity born from the depths of their souls. Their tongues flick against each other in perfect rhythm, igniting the passionate fire brighter between them.
Seungwan feels his hand cup one of her breasts, eagerly kneading out the softness of her mound. She gasps as his touch sends electric currents through her body, making her break away from their kiss with a loud moan. His lips move down to her neck, nipping and sucking at her sensitive spot, causing her mind to go wild with pleasure.
As they continue to engage in foreplay, his other hand deftly unclasps her bra, releasing it from her chest. Using this opportunity, Seungwan rolls over him, straddling his lap. She takes advantage of the position, teasing him by slowly removing her bra from one arm at a time, keeping it close to her breasts. He watches with hunger in his eyes as she removes her shirt and finally lets the bra fall, revealing her ample bosom jiggling freely in the air, her warm mink nipples taut from arousal.
"And I am all yours."
Son Seungwan is an unwavering force, her spirit forged in the fires of adversity and molded into a fierce independence that has weathered every challenge life has thrown her. She has endured and overcome every challenge that life has thrown at her—from leaving her home country to surviving a crippling injury and bearing this long-distance love—refusing to show weakness. But now, as she sits naked before him, her walls crumble like a dam, giving way to a raging river of emotion. Every fiber of her being surrenders to this moment, giving herself to him.
He captures her lips hungrily, his hands roaming over her body with a sense of urgency. His fingers brush against the swell of her breast, causing her to gasp and arch towards him. Seungwan's heart races as his mouth moves down her neck, leaving a trail of hot kisses in its wake. She can feel herself growing wet with desire as he inches closer to her chest, his warm breath sending shivers down her body.
Suddenly, his mouth is on one of her breasts, sucking lightly on a sensitive nub. She moans loudly, the sound echoing throughout the room. Her back arches, giving him more access to her succulent bosom as she trembles under his touch. His tongue swirls around her nipple while his fingers gently twist and pull on the other, driving her wild with pleasure. She is putty in his hands, lost in the sensations coursing through her body as he continues to worship every inch of her curves.
With a swift motion, he lifts Seungwan onto the middle of the bed, her body sinking into the soft sheets. The faint scent of vanilla lingers in the air as they embrace. He traces kisses along her stomach, causing her abs to tense and quiver under his touch. His strong hands unbutton her jeans in a skilled manner, pulling them down with ease as she raises her legs to help him. Her red lace panties cling tightly to her skin, revealing a damp spot at their center.
He moves down to her feet, peppering them with gentle kisses before trailing his lips up her legs. A shiver runs through her body as he reaches her inner thighs, his warm breath sending tingles to every nerve ending. She can't help but let out a small whimper as he presses against the fabric covering her core, feeling how wet and ready she is for him.
"Please," she begs with desperate longing in her voice, unable to wait any longer.
He quickly strips away the last remaining barrier between them, revealing Seungwan fully naked and vulnerable before him. She bites her finger nervously as she awaits his next move, anticipation building inside her.
Without a moment's hesitation, he dives in and begins his oral ministrations on her sensitive folds. Seungwan gasps loudly at the initial contact of his tongue and raises her hips to meet his eager mouth. His strong arms hold her down as he enthusiastically licks and kisses her, eliciting squirms and moans from Seungwan. She grabs the bed sheets tightly, her body responding intensely to his touch. He surprises her by sliding two fingers inside her tight warmth, causing Seungwan to clench around him and cry out in pleasure.
Feeling overwhelmed, Seungwan reaches out for his hand to help ground herself. But even with this distraction, she can't stop the overwhelming sensations building within her. With each flick of her clit, she gets closer and closer to the edge until, finally, she explodes in waves of ecstasy. He catches every drop of her release, some of it spilling onto his jaw as he hungrily laps up her juices. Her thighs grip him tightly, leaving marks with her nails digging into his hand, a pleasurable pain that only adds to their intense connection.
As Seungwan's body calms down, he continues to kiss and lick her folds for good measure. As he releases his hold on her, he moves up to kiss her body. Still riding the wave of pleasure from her orgasm, she shivers at every touch of his lips. When he reaches her face, she pulls him in for a passionate kiss, tasting herself on him and reveling in the intensity of their intimate moment together.
______________________________________________________________
"Your. Turn."
Seungwan's eyes glimmered with determination as she expressed her desire to return the favor. You eagerly lie down beside her, anticipation building in your chest as she shifts downwards towards your groin. Her hand deftly finds its way to your bulge, causing a moan to escape from your lips. Looking up at you for confirmation, Seungwan tugs on the hem of your pants. You give her a quick nod, allowing her to remove them, freeing your member from its confines. With practiced skill, she wraps her fingers around your shaft and begins to slowly pump, perfectly gauging just how much pressure and speed you like. Unable to contain yourself any longer, you let out deep groans and grunts as she expertly pleasures you.
"Babe, it feels… larger than last time…"
As she slips her tongue between her parted lips, Seungwan's eyes lock onto yours with a hungry intensity. You feel yourself getting stiffer as she traces delicate circles around your swollen head, her eager mouth lapping up the salty pre-cum that beads along the tip. She teases you with a soft kiss before engulfing your length in one smooth motion, sucking hard and sending electric shocks of pleasure through your entire body. The intense sensations make it difficult to catch your breath, and you can't help but moan as she works her magic on you. Your stomach clenches with every movement of her mouth, and the visual alone is enough to drive you wild, causing you to throw your head back in ecstasy.
Your lover eagerly takes more of your length into her mouth, increasing the speed and intensity of her movements with each passing second. Her tongue swirls and dances around you, creating sparks of pleasure that shoot through your body. You grip her soft, silky hair tightly in your hands, using it as leverage to guide her movements and deepen the sensation. With each downward stroke, she takes you deeper and deeper, coaxing out moans of ecstasy from deep within you. The erotic display happening between your legs is a masterpiece of passion, her lips and tongue working in perfect harmony to bring you to the edge of bliss. Your hips involuntarily buck with each skilled motion, driving you closer and closer to the peak of pleasure. And when she hums softly against you, the vibrations sending shivers down your spine, it's all you can do to hold on as the sounds emanating from her mouth push you over the edge into pure ecstasy.
You feel the familiar tight sensation radiating from your abdomen. Not wanting to finish too soon, you gently hold Seungwan's head in place as she takes a break. When she pulls away, a spittrail is left between your member and her mouth. She resumes stroking you with one hand at a relaxed pace.
“Are you okay?” she asks, moving her hand slowly.
“You're going to drive me insane. That was incredible,” you manage to say.
Seungwan chuckles and kisses her way back up to your lips.“You make me crazy, too. I think I'm ready.”
You and Seungwan have been intimate multiple times before, but tonight feels different. It feels like a promise come true, the culmination of years of friendship turning into love, a reward for having faith in each other. It's a reminder that there could be many more nights like this. As your bodies join together, you are bonded in every sense.
She positions herself above you, aligning her core with your length.
"I love you, Seungwan."
"And I love you too."
Seungwan lowers herself onto you, and as she takes you deep inside her, a new level of tightness envelopes your senses. Her eyes roll back in ecstasy as she reaches for your shoulders, her nails digging into your skin to hold on. You guide her down from her waist, feeling every inch of her sliding against every inch of you.
She can barely speak through the intense pleasure. "Babe...you're so...fuck...bigger..."
"Wannie… you feel even tighter..." You instinctively grip her hips, trying to hold on to some sense of control amidst the overwhelming sensation of being surrounded by Seungwan's incredible tightness. She feels scorching hot, dripping wet, and tighter than ever before. It takes everything in you not to lose yourself completely. But as Seungwan sinks further onto you, pressing her body against yours with an unbreakable seal, you give in to the intense pleasure and pull her into a fierce kiss. Your shared breaths taste sweet as she hums against your lips, driving you both closer to ecstasy. With one final push, you are fully immersed inside Seungwan, lost in each other's embrace, until the world fades away into pure bliss.
After a brief moment of stillness, Seungwan leans back with a mischievous glint in her eyes. She presses her hips against yours, moving in a slow and hypnotizing rhythm. Each movement sends waves of pleasure coursing through your body, making you moan and writhe in ecstasy. The bed squeaks and creaks beneath the intensity of your passion, the sounds blending with the loud slapping of skin against skin.
Your hands roam greedily over her body, exploring every curve and dip as she squirms under your touch. Seungwan's mouth falls open as she nears climax, her nails digging into your skin in pleasure. You pick up the pace, driving her closer to the edge with each thrust until she explodes in a frenzy of bliss. Her scream echoes through the room as her body trembles, and she collapses onto your chest. As she enters into her second orgasm of the night, she clings tightly to you while still trying to ride you to your own release.
You want to hold onto this moment for as long as possible, so you keep her in your arms. "Let me take charge," you whisper as you roll over and remain inside of her. Seungwan moans from the sudden change in position.
"Oh God, so deep."
You thrust into Seungwan, your pace quickening as you feel yourself surrendering to the intense desire to make love to her. She clings onto you with unbridled desperation, begging for more as she writhes beneath you in a frenzy of pleasure. You sink your teeth into her neck, leaving passionate red marks as she cries out in ecstasy. Her body shudders and quakes around you, signaling her impending release. Your movements become even more fervent, pushing deeper inside of her until your bodies are slick with sweat and burning with desire.
The pleasure intensifies, a warm sensation spreading throughout your entire being as you try to prolong this blissful moment. Seungwan's inner walls tighten around you, her legs wrapped tightly around your waist and pulling you closer.
In a final act of passion, she kisses you deeply as both of you reach the peak together. Your body tenses with ecstasy as you release everything inside her, marking her as yours forever. Waves of pleasure ripple through you as Seungwan's walls milk every last bit out of you, leaving her filled to the brim. You stay connected for a while, not wanting to collapse on top of her. When the throbbing finally subsides, you roll off to the side and feel the aftermath dripping onto your legs.
The weight of the experience leaves you drained and weary, but you still manage to pull the soft blanket over the two of you, pulling Seungwan into your embrace. Her body conforms perfectly against yours as she rolls to your side, her lips pressing gently against your cheek in a sweet gesture. You can feel the warmth radiating from her skin, soothing any lingering tension or discomfort. In return, you kiss her forehead before finally succumbing to exhaustion and closing your eyes. The peaceful moment envelops both of you like a warm cocoon, protecting you from the outside world and its worries.
______________________________________________________________
A trickle of light passes through the blinds. It’s been ages since an alarm clock wasn’t necessary to start the day.
You also can’t remember the last time you felt this body ache. Every external sensation feels like a sledgehammer, pulverizing your skull as your eyes barely open. Awareness slowly kicks in, and you start remembering the events of last night.
You attempt to sit up in bed, but a weight prevents you from doing so. In your arms is the person you love, fast asleep and looking peaceful. She stirs awake and gives you a small smile. It feels surreal, but her lips on yours confirm that it's all real—she is here with you in this moment.
"Good morning, Wannie."
"Good morning, last night was...indescribably perfect."
Perhaps this is just a part of life's journey. You meet someone and fall deeply in love, and suddenly, nothing seems too daunting or frightening anymore; every day is full of endless possibilities. Maybe we needed to go through rough patches to be stronger and more beautiful on the other side. Love can be found in the most unexpected places, shining bright even in the darkest moments. And Seungwan is proof that all of this exists, bringing light into even the bleakest situations.
"So, what's the next adventure planned for today?"
Well, it really has been a minute.
Hello everyone, and thank you so much for reaching the end of "Rekindle." If you haven't read "Ignite" yet, no worries! I designed this fic to stand on its own (though please give my debut fic a read! I love that baby so much).
It's not easy for me to say this, so I'll be straightforward: this marks the end of my writing journey.
Two years ago, I posted "Ignite" inspired by countless fan fics I had read. It was my way of expressing myself—a little bit of escapism. I needed to channel all the pent-up energy. I made wonderful friends, built confidence, got a plethora of new skills. But like any writer, I faced a lotttt of doubts and grappled with lotttsssss unfinished drafts. My writing consistency waned as mental health struggles took their toll.
I needed a break, especially because I needed to focus up on my actual life out there. I had been living too fast, too pressured. And the break did wonders to my life. As my mental health improved, so did various aspects of my life. I felt compelled to write one last fic, but only really felt ready to do one last fic. I think it was fitting I started and ended with the idol that drew me into k-pop! Sadly, my time to write is running out due to a new chapter in my life—I've landed my dream job!
I'm immensely grateful for this incredible journey as a writer. This journey made me discover a side I never thought I could do. I am confident in my writing and expressing myself in writing and in person. I owe my growth to the many friends I met here. This fic is dedicated to everyone I met, talked, and made wonderful memories with!
It's been an awfully beautiful adventure, and in the next life, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you for two years of writing and unwavering support!

Hiii! i love your writing 😘 if your ok with writing this could i request some fluffy dad!felix catton if you have any in store?! again, totally understand if your uncomfortable writing this or just don’t want to 😊😊
It’s taken me a while to get to this because I’ve been struggling to find my way in when it comes to Felix as a Dad. I’m not sure if I do have a Dad!Felix fluff in me but I do have some thoughts/head canons on Felix as a Dad as a whole I’m slowly developing. So here are those…
Tumblr media
Felix is all in in the newborn stage. It’s a novelty for him. The easy stage before they find their voices and start screaming the place down. When all you have to do is hold them, feed them, change them. He’s so there for that.
He’s happy to get up in the middle of the night, looking out the windows at the grounds with a baby in his arms, telling stories and recounting memories of his youth and that time running around the grounds with Farleigh and Venetia.
He loves see you with HIS child. He’s very protective. While you lie in his bed with tea and toast, feeding your child he shoos everyone else from the room, not wanting to share that sight or special time with anyone else in the family. Venetia is the only one who occasionally slips through the cracks. (She is a great aunt to your child by the way)
When the baby starts to grow older though he begins to struggle. You are a very hands on parent in comparison to him and he’s happy for you to be. After all his mother was very hands on with him and Venetia, however as a child he never saw his Dad there as much as his Mum and so has adopted a similar way of thinking that of his father and grandfather that fussing kids is a Mother problem.
Don’t get me wrong, he still loves showing up to be the fun dad. Running across the lawns with them. Enabling their hobbies and paying for anything they want. But when it comes to the hard stuff you feel completely abandoned.
As time goes on you realise you aren’t on the same wave length about parenting at all. And a lot of that has to do with Felix’s upbringing and family.
Elspeth is always there to step in and make a fuss, forcing herself on her grandchildren like she makes everything better, but often (especially if a child is already in a tantrum state it can sometimes make it worse until she just hands the child back and leaves you with a screaming child.
When Felix’s mates come knocking, asking him to go on golfing or skiing holidays with them it’s always “you’ve got this, haven’t you babe? Great. I love you. See you in a week.”
And because that’s how Felix was raised, what he observed from his family over the years, he honestly knows no better.
“If you’re struggling we can just get a Nanny.” He says when you confront him. It always has you seeing red. “I don’t want a Nanny Felix. I want US to raise our kids.”
You realise the only way things will change is if you all get out of that house and away from his family. So you give him the ultimatum: “it’s either us or your family.”
Of course it’s that honour in him, that unspoken traditional allegiance to your wife and kids that has him reluctantly agreeing, hoping in a few months you’ll see sense and see how difficult it is without all the servants and his daddy’s money. But you thrive, despite the way Felix shuffles his feet and does the bare minimum in protest.
After another argument where you tell him to show up or fuck off back to his family he finally takes you seriously and the more time he spends with you and your family and more modest hands on parenting and living styles he begins to thrive, seeing that the grass can be greener on the other side.
The more time away from his family he sees how toxic his families dynamic is. When you visit he sticks up for his kids and is protective of them when his parents begin to push their values and views on his kids.
You stand by him as he begins to put in boundaries and really analyse his life, his youth, his privilege and how it has in fact hindered him in life in so many basic ways. You support him and feel pride when he helps enforce those boundaries around his parents, his family as he ultimately gives them the same ultimatum you gave him all those years ago.
Although his father is reluctant, Elspeth is desperate to know her grandchildren and apologised to you both and promises to respect your parenting choices and swears to try and uphold those values in front of your children as much as she can.
With the new boundaries in place, summers in Saltburn become regular things for your kids. All of you playing together on the grounds. Chasing each other through the maze. Swimming in the pool and the lake. You and Felix set up scavenger hunts for your kids. And they ultimately grow up with the best of both worlds.
So yeah. Those are my more realistic Dad Felix thoughts. Tell me what you think….

finnick odair + black!district 11!reader?? thank you and happy holidays 💓
SEA AND THE ROCK BELOW !
Tumblr media
pairing; finnick odair x f!black!district11!reader
summary; you and finnick mentor your tributes before their games. yet only finnick can understand your unease.
contains: ANGST/FLUFF, comfort. mentions of death (it’s the hunger games babe)
☾⋆。𖦹 °✩
being back at the capitol is bittersweet, the smell of roses overwhelm you in each room your in but you know you’ll find exactly who you’re looking for here.
mentoring two unsuspecting kids- to send them into a battle they’ll likely lose- it haunts you. you could do it millions of times ams yet even then you will not be able to shake the feeling of grief, of failure.
finnick knows where to find you- he maps you out in his heart and finds you in an isolated end of the hotel hallway.
you’ve just sent your tributes off to bed- you’ve given them all you know. they ask how you won your games, how you came out okay.
and you lie through your teeth. i didn’t come out alright. in my mind- i lost my games. you think that anyone who died in your games had won, atleast they’d left with their dignity.
he finds you at the right moment- before you can lose yourself in your mind. finnick pulls you into the most forceful yet endearing hug you’d only ever felt from him.
his love, his trust, his understanding- it all seeps into you. there is only adoration seeping from his pores as he looks at you, as he breathes you in.
you can’t remember the last time you’d seen him, there’s very few times you can cross districts unless it’d been unpleasant visits to the capitol.
you look at him, you can’t find the words.
“i know.” he holds your face, so soft you almost melt. putty under his touch.
you think about your tributes, a thirteen year old boy and a sixteen year old girl. what do they know? they’re babies, someone’s baby, someone’s little boy and girl.
you want to scream, you want to yell, you want to throw things.
“it’s not fair finnick.” you repeat this over and over. you begin to grow hysterical.
your hands go to cover your eyes, your tears spill with each passing breath.
“i can’t do this. every year-“ it takes a piece of you, you want to say.
every year i lose two kids from my district to a cash-rich spectacle for the upper class. for their viewing pleasure.
each year you lose faith. faith that finnick rebuilds each year, faith that he works to restore.
he holds you now, keeps you steady in his arms. kissing your forehead.
“when this is over we’ll be long gone, far away from here.” he speaks into your hair “how many kids do you want? two? eight?”
you laugh, “four.”
“a nice little house by the sea. i can fish, you can lay in the sun, read to me like you always do. our kids will play in the water.”
you can only manage to let out a small mhm of understanding through your smiles- your cheeks still wet.
“but for now, we have to get through this. and i need my girl to be okay. none of this is your fault.”
-
a/n; happy holidays babe and ofc. i tried my best but there’s so few places that ppl from two separate districts could get to know each other ykwim 🙁 but i hope u like it.

.。*♡ Yan!Vil with homesick!reader
.。*♡ A/n: Been in soft vil moods this past days so I wrote this lol.
Tumblr media
Being in a different world is hard, it's scary. And the worst of it is feeling alone even if there are people by your side every day. This is exactly how you've been feeling these last few days, lost and without a path, without a clue and without any progress. The idea of returning to your world disappears from your head more and more, it seems more distant and impossible.
You wonder what the people most important to you think of what happened. Do they think you ran away? Are they still looking for you even after all these months?
"Prefect, shouldn't you be sleeping at this time?"
Vil's strict but soft voice sounded behind you. And you look at him, trying to read his expressions, but there's nothing on his face that lets you know how he feels or what he thinks. You can only imagine how intriguing the scene from his point of view must be. You sitting on the ground next to Ramshackle's front door as you look out over the yard and think about everything you've left behind, annoying tears drying in your eyes.
If only Tsunotaro had shown up today, maybe your melancholy thoughts wouldn't have troubled you so much that you couldn't sleep. And maybe now Vil wouldn't be looking at you that way, as if scolding a child.
"Prefect, I await an answer." He crouched down beside your, carefully wiping away your tears with his fingertips. "Why are you out here in the cold and crying? Why didn't you come to me or the others?"
You shrugged. In NRC, there is an unspoken rule that nobody truly cares about your problems. And well, they're all villains, so it's not like you really want to share your feelings with them without the fear that someone will laugh.
But it's also not like no one will understand your pain. At least not completely, they all had a family to go back to during the holidays, they all had their parents and siblings close by who they could count on in the most difficult times. You only had Grim and he only had you; you two were literally two in one in every sense of the word.
"It just got something in my eye." You lied not caring what he thought, brushing his hand away. You and Vil only interacted during VDC rehearsals, so it's not like you were friends and it bothered you that he was there for you during a fragile moment. "Don't worry about me, I'll be right back to my room. I just needed some air."
A sound of disbelief left Schoenheit and he cupped your face with both hands in a quick gesture, caressing your cheeks and looking deep into your eyes.
"Potato, I can see you're not feeling good." He whispered.
It was true. It was true and for you to hear him say it out loud confirmed that normality had slipped through your fingers and that you really were in a strange world, this wasn't some kind of strange dream. The look so soft in his lilac eyes, the way he caressed your cheeks and pulled you into a hug was all you needed to let the tears roll and the sobs escape your throat.
Maybe even someone strict like him had some sympathy in his heart. His hands gently rubbed your back as he whispered words of comfort, feeling you shiver in his arms. And the scene broke his heart. But your teary eyes certainly were a beautiful sight, not even the most beautiful pictures taken by Rook could compare to you.
"I miss home." You confessed, quiet, fearful.
The hug tightened and you hid your face in his neck, you never wanted to feel that way again and at the same time you wanted to feel everything. Feeling was one of the only things you could do and missing everything gave you the necessary determination to keep surviving one more day in this strange world.
"It's understandable that you feel that way," Vil muttered. "But, you know, there are ways to alleviate this longing and feel closer to the people we love, even though we are far away."
You looked at Vil curiously, frowning at what you had just heard. Whatever solution he was going to offer, you knew it wouldn't be enough to ease the pain you felt. Still he continued, combing your hair with his fingers. "Write a letter to each person you miss and then burn it, I hear it can help ease the weight you feel."
You looked at him in disbelief and that drew a laugh from Vil who watched your reactions. "Another thing that can help a lot is to create a routine, something that you do every day that makes you feel closer to home. If you liked to listen to music or read at home, do that here. It can give you a feeling of comfort and familiarity."
You nodded and thanked him for sharing these tips, even though a pessimistic part of your brain doubted any of them would work. Yet you were grateful for his intentions and saw him in a new light from that moment on.
Vil then placed his hand over your heart. "Remember that you are not alone and that there are people who care about you, they're all right there."
You smiled once more.
Oh, if you had noticed that peculiar glint in his eyes…
"Thanks, really, I'll think about it." You promised, pulling away from the hug and the hands that massaged your shoulders, feeling like a weight was lifted off your shoulders just by having someone by your side.
Except Vil hates sharing your attention and he would take up every bit of your time because only he could take care of you and love you the way you deserve.
You got up and offered your hand to help him up, then wishing him a good night. Surely you would sleep that night with one less worry, you weren't alone. You had Grim, Ace and Deuce by your side. And… A part of you mind added a new face to the people you felt you could trust, Vil as well.

((@bunnyreaper V day exchange for @literatecowboy . I do not write fluff but here’s my crack at it, enjoy))
Ghost x reader fluff.
Valentine’s Day is a stupid Hallmark holiday meant to put pressure on couples to over perform and shower each other with gifts so that they may forget about how they treat each other the other 364 days of the year, or to make people feel isolated and lonely for not having a partner in their life. At least, that’s what you’d told yourself for most of your adult life. A self soothing consultation? Maybe. Valid? You’d like to think so. This view was swayed however, when Simon slipped his way past the iron gates of your heart and made himself a home there, rent free, the bastard.
A poorly folded note sat on top of your endless pile of risk assessment paperwork to go over before the end of the week, looking sorely out of place on your otherwise tidy desk. The note found itself clutched between your hands and splayed open as your curiosity surged. The handwriting itself was harsh, pen pressed too hard, angrily or nervously, and akin to what you’d expect a serial killer’s penmanship to be.
‘Be my valentine? -S’
Good lord, this was cheesy for anyone but especially for Simon. Regardless you felt the heat rise to your cheeks and your lips half quirk up involuntarily and awkwardly. Tucking the note away into your desk drawer, you headed to the rec room in pursuit of it’s sender. Thankfully, he was hunkered down on the peeling leather couch, tea in hand as he scrolled through an article on his phone. Probably about WWII. Men love WWII.
“You know you didn’t have to ask right?” You speak up, causing Simon’s gaze to tear away from his phone and fall onto you.
“Pardon?”
“The note. You didn’t have to ask. It’s kinda like…implied since we’ve been uhm..” You cough, clearing your throat and hoping he understands the implication.
“Is that a yes?” He asked, an eyebrow raised, and not bothering to humor you.
“…Yes, but no corny stuff.”
“So a string quartet to your office. Got it.” He says, turning his attention back to whatever he was reading.
When you wake, Simon is out of your bed and gone, his side neatly made with the corners of the sheets and duvet hospital tucked and the pillow fluffed. This wasn’t unusual for the two of you by any means. He’d come over after work, get fed, rearrange your internal organs in a way he saw fit, retire with you for the night, and then be out before his conditioning regimen started.
You sit up in bed, arching your back like a cat and stretching your body out with a content moan, shrugging off the sleepy feeling that ran bone deep. Your phone lit up on your bed side then, calling your attention to the string of ‘happy Valentine’s Day!’ texts from your friends. Cute. No text from Simon though, as you suspected. You wouldn’t be surprised if he forgot about the whole ordeal and the note was just a manipulation tactic, hoping you’d fawn over the gesture and suck the soul out of him harder than you had before.
Your morning routine went by without issue. Shower, brush your teeth, get dressed and apply makeup, a small spritz of perfume to your wrist. Making your way to the dining room, the usual resting spot for your keys, you’d noticed an iced coffee from your favorite cafe sitting on the table. It was a kind gesture, although the cup was sweaty and the ice was slightly melted, it was sweet of him nonetheless.
Your day at work dragged on as usual. Typing, filing, placing new recruits in their respective units and then completing the paperwork that went with it. Although you were just a desk jockey, you were the backbone of every goddamn task force on this base. Nature called you out of your office to relieve yourself and upon returning, your eyes mimicked an owl’s; huge pupils the size of saucers. Your desk was overtaken by a flower arrangement. Two dozen roses, babies breath, carnations, and eucalyptus all bunched together with a big silky black bow and overflowing the poor glass vase.
This was too much and beyond embarrassing. Your face heated, palms gathering sweat, and heart hammered somewhere deep in your chest. You mentally cringed at the image of carrying this home, the walk of shame off base and the sure to follow childish “ooo”’s from your colleagues. You had to admit though, it was a beautiful arrangement. He had to have picked it out and put some thought and consideration into it, which meant a lot to you even if you didn’t want to admit it.
With a determined pace you left your office, aiming to find Simon. After checking every nook and cranny of the base and leaving no stone unturned, you came up blank. He definitely knew you were looking for him, and saw you before you could see him. Though he was massive, he was able to be elusive and slip right through your fingers like sand. You admired the ability and wished you could do the same, but in the moment you hated him for it. Feeling defeated you headed back to your office, hat in hand, to see another note on your desk.
‘I’ll see you at home. -S’
Home. The word echoed in your mind. Though he stayed over at your place most nights during the week he’d never called it your home. The word itself sent you reeling, a giddy chuckle escaping you before you could stop it. Jesus, get a grip. He’s a guy you’re monogamously hooking up with who just so happens to return to your house every night like a stray cat, not your boyfriend. Totally not.
The end of your shift could not come faster. You sped walked to your car with your arms around the comically large vase, careful not to spill any water as it sloshed around and threatened to soak you. The vase ended up in your passenger seat, buckled in like a person as you made the trek back home.
Entering and kicking off your shoes, the smell of garlic, basil, and onion hit you. Simon sat at the table, two plates of pasta on either side and two glasses of wine. Carefully, you set the vase down as a centerpiece and ruffled a hand through his hair.
“You didn’t need to do all that Si. I appreciate it but you totally could have gotten away with a card or something.” You said, placing a kiss on his forehead before taking a seat at the table. Everything looked amazing.
“You’re better than a card darlin’ M’ almost offended for you. Have some standards will ya?”
“If I had standards you wouldn’t be sitting across from me.” You teased, which pulled a chuckle from his chest and the shake of his head. Your hand found his, giving him a reassuring squeeze that you were joking before letting it fall to your side.
“Did you cook this?” You questioned, stabbing a fork into the pasta and swirling it to gather some on the fork.
“…No. But I plated it so that counts for somethin’ right?”
“It does.” You assured, digging into your food.
The dinner and wine was delicious but silent, how the both of you liked it. Life and work was so busy it was nice to just sit together and exist without noise sometimes.
After you’d both finished you attempted to stand and clear the dishes but he stopped you with a hand to your chest, taking the duty on himself.
“They are beautiful, really. The flowers I mean. I appreciate them and I appreciate you, you really didn’t have to—.”
He cut you off with a wave of his hand, drying them on the dish towel after he finished cleaning up.
“You’re goin’ all soft on me and haven’t even opened the best part.”
“The best part? What is it?” You questioned too fast, mentally scolding yourself for sounding eager.
He fished a small box out of his pocket, placing it on the table in front of you and nodding his head, a silent tell to open it. Your hands found the box, opening it at its hinges carefully. Inside and sitting on the plush black velvet of the box laid a small silver chain necklace with the initial ‘S’.
Your eyes once again widened in awe as he moved to grab it from you carefully.
“Hold up your hair.” He said barely above a whisper.
With your hair out of the way he clasped the necklace around you, adjusting it to his liking before letting your hair fall back to its resting place.
“I uhm.. This.. What does this..?” You trailed off, anxiety twisting in your stomach.
“It means you’re mine, yeah?” He said in a hushed tone, pressing a chaste kiss to your lips.
“..Yeah.” You agreed, breathily and hugging him to your chest.
You were his.

HALLOWEEN, FISHER!BROTHERS X SISTER!READER
APART OF THE ‘WE’LL ALL BE HERE FOREVER SERIES’
SUMMARY: when it’s susannah fishers favorite holiday, the youngest fisher tries to honor her mother, but it’s impossible when she feels haunted by it.
inspired by halloween by noah kahan
◀ ⏸ ▶
lowercase intentional! wc: 1.7k
warnings: implied/written in age (because it is the youngest fisher) HEAVY drinking, fem love interest! a breakdown, mentions of death, swearing
a/n: HELLOOO this is connecting to the view between villages blurb, so if you haven’t read that pls do! if you don’t no worries either!! loving this series so far omgomgomg also this desc isnt great (sorry) & BACK TO DECEMBER TV IN THE TRAILER IM LOSING IT.
IT WAS LESS THAN A WEEK LATER WHEN SUSANNAH’S FAVORITE HOLIDAY CAME,
and it would be the first year the fisher siblings wouldn’t be able to spend it with her.
it was late in the afternoon as y/n sat down on the beach, sipping on the only beer conrad had picked up the entire time they had been in cousin’s, waiting for her brothers to come back from the store.
it had been over an hour since they had left, and throughout that entire time, Y/N had stayed in the same place, drifting off to a place she always feared. she had seen it happen to other people, and always heard about it but had never experienced it herself.
the girl broke out of her thoughts as she heard footsteps heading towards her, and her head snapped behind her, seeing conrad walking towards her with a beer in his hand.
“is that for me?”she questioned as he sat next to her, and he chuckled before shaking his head and taking a sip of it. “you’re not even supposed to be drinking that.”
“maybe don’t leave beer where the sixteen year old can get it.”y/n shrugged, before the two sat silently, with an understanding that’s how it had to be right now to even try and get through the girl.
conrad and y/n always understood each other. maybe it was because they both had aquarius sun’s, or it was conrad knew how y/n felt when she quit volleyball just because of their father. ruining the one thing she truly loved the most besides her mom and cousins beach.
the two watched as the waves crashed against the sand, and fizzled out, representing the feeling the two felt.
y/n always joked that when they were talking about what taylor swift songs represented them, he was the archer, and she was the one who was trying, while jeremiah a mirrorball.
the three fisher siblings; the one who never grew up, the one who got wasted like all of her potential, and the one who when they break, it's in a million pieces.
“what do you think belly, laurel and steven are doing right now?”y/n asked quietly after a while, and conrad chuckled, taking another sip of his beer before the two heard a voice behind them.
“laurel’s probably writing while belly’s with taylor, and steven i know for a fact is with their dad.”jeremiah spoke up, and y/n watched as he sat next to her, sipping a can of coke the fisher boys had picked up at the store.
“what are our plans for tonight?”jer questioned, and y/n looked back towards the water, with emptiness filling her.
“there’s a party going on down the shore at michael’s.”y/n spoke up, and she saw the look both of her brothers were giving her, knowing where she was talking about was some weird guy who was only popular because his parents had money.
“after last summer you still wanna go there?”conrad questioned, and y/n shrugged, not really caring as long as there was alcohol, “i’m going either way.”
the two fisher brothers watched as she stood up, and walked back towards the house with an empty bottle of beer in her hand, and more grief than anyone could have imagined.
“we’re both in agreement she’s not going to that party right?”jeremiah questioned, watching as conrad took a sip of his beer, before doing a quick nod.
“absolutely.”
SOMEHOW WITHOUT HER BROTHERS KNOWING, Y/N ENDED UP AT THE PARTY.
with a red solo cup in her hand, and shitty synth-pop music blaring through the speakers that were in the living room, the h/c felt like she had succeeded in her mission of escaping her brothers.
she was sick and tired of their worried looks, and them wanting her to be okay when in reality nothing was okay. it was in absolute shambles, and scattered everywhere in little shards, almost like a mirrorball.
memories that once glimmered and brought the girl so much joy, now stabbed her and opened up a new wound everytime she thought about it.
like dress shopping for the deb ball.
this year was supposed to be her year to do it. this was the year she was supposed to pick out her white dress, learn how to courtesy, how to have the proper manners, and to be escorted out and to dance with whoever she chose. as her mother always said, it was her turn to be ‘in bloom’.
instead, she felt like she was shriveled up and dead. she felt like those flowers that you had left out in the sun for too long, never gave any water to, and when you finally remembered that you had them, they were depressing looking, with the petals falling apart.
taking a sip of whatever alcohol she had in her cup, her nose scrunched as it burned going down, knowing this was a constant cycle of today. y/n didn’t know how many she had already, and she didn’t really care as long as it ended with her being passed out drunk later that night.
she had been there for almost two hours, and the room was already spinning on her. stumbling towards the kitchen, the girl finished her drink before going to pour another before blue eyes met hers, and she stopped.
“how many have you had already?”the girl in front of her questioned, and y/n placed the bottle of vodka down on the counter, and pursed her lips as she stayed silent for a few moments.
“who cares emerson.”y/n finally spoke up, watching as the girl in front of her pulled her brunette hair back into a low ponytail, just like she always did.
emerson scott. the girl from last summer y/n had spent as much time as she could with, when both girls weren’t working or at the beach. the girl who had shown up for her when others didn’t.
the girl she loved the most.
“well, obviously me.”emerson pulled the red solo cup away from the girl, and leaned on the counter, “i don’t want you to get alcohol poisoning.”
“yeah well i do.”y/n stated as emerson handed her a bottle of water to try and lessen the girls hangover, “at this point, i’d love it.”
“well too bad.”emerson told her, and y/n rolled her eyes, not really giving a shit on what the girl in front of her thought.
“will you let me take you home?”the brunette questioned, causing y/n to glare at the sixteen year old, not wanting to leave and go back to the beach house she was convinced was haunted.
“absolutely not.”y/n denied, before starting to walk away, but emerson was right by her side, “emerson i’m serious.”
“i know you are n/n.”emerson told the youngest fisher as she walked through the house to get towards the exit, and started to walk out, “if you’re going to leave can you at least let me get you ice cream or something?”
“why!”y/n threw her arms up in frustration, wanting nothing more than to be left alone and down her sorrows, “i’m not going home and i’m sure as hell not in the mood for you to say we’re not going back to my house and then we end up fucking there!”
“y/n,”emerson gently grabbed ahold of the girls hand, trying to make sure she didn’t stumble into the street in her drunken state, “i’m being serious. if you don’t want to go back we won’t. i wouldn’t lie about that.”
“everyone fucking says that!”the h/c cursed, as her bottom lip quivered, “first it was conrad who told me last summer that everything was fine, and dad just had to go on a trip on the fourth when in reality my parents were getting a divorce because my dad is a piece of shit!”
“next it was my dad who claims he’s not disappointed in me for quitting volleyball when every time he looks at me it’s filled with disappointment and makes me feel like a failure!”she yelled, ripping her hand away from emerson, as she continued on her rant, “finally it was mom who said that her cancer wasn’t back, but guess-fucking-what! she lied because now she’s six feet under in some cemetery in brighton!”
“i’m sick and tired of being lied to because everytime someone lies to me, it ends up going to shit!”she screamed, before a sob escaped her lips, and emerson wrapped the girl in a tight hug.
“i can’t do it anymore emmy.”the girl cried, clutching onto the brunette tightly, “i can’t continue being fucking lied to.”
it was awhile before the e/c girl sobs turned into cries, and those cries turned into whimpers, and emerson was able to get the girl into her car, with taylor swift playing softly in the background.
my tears ricochet started to play, and y/n looked out the window as emerson had started to drive away to god knows where, but y/n didn’t care. she watched as they exited out of cousin’s, and towards the city y/n adored so much.
boston.
the remaining fisher girl watched as a murder of crows flew over the skyline of boston as they entered it, and the city of boston reminded y/n of a ghost town.
as they entered the city, presumably to just drive around and get the girl away from cousins, her eyes started to become heavy, and she slowly fell asleep as the sound of taylor swift’s voice reminded her of a soft lullaby.
emerson looked over at the girl, seeing her finally be relaxed since her mom had passed, and a small frown was placed on the blue eyed girl’s lips.
it wasn’t halloween, but the ghost of susannah fisher knew how to haunt y/n.

Stork Visits
Pairings: Survey Coprs x Black Reader - do they want babies?
Word Count: 1137
Warnings: baby fever?
A/N: Here’s what I think in regard to the guys wanting babies. But tell me what you think! Is there someone who you feel would react differently than I imagined?
Eren  - oh absolutely. I think he’d love to see a miniature him running around causing mayhem. He’s the obsessed dad, telling everyone you meet that you’re pregnant and watching literally everything you eat to make sure that it’s safe and healthy for the baby. Eren becomes a nutritionist, a midwife, and security guard all in one; and while you are grateful, he could definitely use a chill pill.
Levi - I wanna say no, but he can be convinced. More of a soft no, or Levi’s idea of a soft no. He doesn’t really develop relationships or connections with others because of everyone around him dying and for that reason he’s really against the idea of raising a child. But once he finds someone special, I think he’ll view it with a different set of lens and even come to anticipate the idea of another Ackerman.
Erwin - very neutral. He isn’t actively for a child or against it. More of a if it happens, it happens kinda fella. Understand that work WILL be a priority and will often take precedence. Erwin is absolutely taking care of his family but it’ll be more in a financial sense. Although he is emotionally available as well it’s his physical presence yall will have to tussle with. However, he is making sure at the very least yall wont need for much. I'm talking a house in the best neighborhood, the best schools, the best clothes, etc. And he absolutely loves his family but when that job calls, it's toodles.
Connie - also neutral to the idea. Connie doesn’t really take life seriously to me. I consider him to be in his playboy era lowkey. He doesn’t really live for the future, but more so the present so if you get pregnant he’ll be supportive of whatever choice you make. And if it does happen, he’s that overwhelming dad who’s plastering his child on all the socials. They’ll be in matching outfits, taking professional pictures for every milestone, and he’s stacking those presents high under the Christmas tree for the holidays. That child will have him wrapped around their finger so it's safe to say that you’ll have to be the bad cop for a good chunk of their childhood cause Connie is mostly concerned with being the cool and fun parent.
Jean - yes!! He’s that military man that enlists straight out of high school, meets a girl, marries her two months later, and starts a family of five. Maybe even get a pet for the sake of it. Jean strikes me as very traditional in the family sense. His children will be honor students and he’s plastering his bumper sticker with all their future colleges. Their report cards get put on the fridge and while Jean does start off his parenting a little strict in the disciplinary department, he eventually learns to take it easy.
Onyankopon - yes, but when the time is right. He wants to try and solve all the worlds problems before settling down to start a family. Soon enough he’ll realise that as much as he wants to he cant help everyone so he goes on to focus his energy on creating a life with his lover. Ony’s so adorable. Literally there at your beck and call. He’s taking you to all your doctors appointments, sitting through all your lamaze classes and designing the baby's room from scratch. Ony is the hands on father who’s spending weeks tryna figure out how to assemble the crib and he’s signing the kid up for every extracurricular activity possible as soon as they can walk - ooh and he’s never missing a practice.
Reiner - idek with this man. I genuinely feel like the pendulum can swing either way, though I am leaning more towards no. I think Reiner carries way too much guilt to ever feel deserving of children and so he’s content to just have a wife while playing the role of cool, rich uncle. Mans is honestly just happy to be alive, and barely even that, so he’s not too interested in starting a family. He’ll babysit in a heartbeat and is sneakily feeding his nieces/nephews/godchildren ice cream for breakfast after their parents explicitly said no. He’s the one they call when they need a ride home from a party they weren't even supposed to go to and he’s providing an alibi if need be. Reiner is sliding $20 in their hands at every function and bringing them gifts from his latest excursion around the globe. While he greatly enjoys his time spent with the kiddos he loves handing them back to their parents even more; and greatly enjoys having his lover all to himself while the doing things he never dreamed he’d reach the age to see and simultaneously healing the child within.
Armin - yes!! I think Armin is gonna be the poster dad for kids lowkey. You ever meet those parents who run their household like the navy? Like in a scheduled sorta way? That’s gonna be Armin. Kids are in bed no later than 8pm. Their breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be balanced to each portion of essential nutrients based on the food groups of the plate. They're drinking 8 glasses of water a day and flavored milk yuck during snack time. Their juices are diluted with water so when they hit their first party and experience 100% juice for the first time they’re literally bouncing off the walls. I really feel like Armin would have that perfect cookie cutter type family who celebrates and decorates for every holiday. They brush their teeth before bed every night and must bathe with their special bubble bath soap or else they’ll lose their shit. He’ll raise kids you avoid in primary school lmaoo but get cool with during high school who becomes a more chill version of their younger self.
Floch - not really. He wants to run wild and sow his oats. Floch doesn't care for kids in my opinion. He’s in his selfish era which turns out to last a lot longer than he anticipated. Floch is an intelligent guy and while he enjoys practicing for a baby, he’s come to realise that he wouldn’t enjoy the responsibilities of said baby. He’s not actively in his nieces/nephews/godchildren everyday lives but instead is that uncle you only see at the family functions which is like twice a year. Once he’s there though they can ask for anything and he’s giving it to them. Money, a lil sip of beer, hell even some dating tips. He doesn't go out of his way to be present so it's really one of those you just gotta be there moments. Floch has always been on his own timing and enjoys living his best child free life.

Richard Hanania is one of my poster child writers for the "he is an complete idiot and also very smart" genre. I disagree with him on virtually everything, particularly core beliefs, but he nonetheless is an actual critical thinker who will come up with and explore interesting ideas, and so he is valuable to follow for exposure to good discussion from a world you are otherwise not gonna touch (and for a good laugh the other half of the time).
This is definitely one of those posts - the US right (not that the left is immune to this by any stretch, this is just about the right) is so infused with an instinct towards perpetual victmization that it becomes easy to buy into their own framing that the Right has been losing front after front in the culture war. This is the foundational premise of The Cathedral, the Moldbug-coined New Right tenet that "Cthulhu Always Swims Left" aka the left's structural advantage in controlling ~institutions~ means that in status-quo modernity culture will shift left over and over, endlessly...and therefore you need to violently overthrow the state and purge the corrupt neoliberal bureaucratic order to realize the will of the silent volke embodied in a CEO-Monarch to turn back the tide. Anyway, Hanania does a good job of pointing out that its really kinda bullshit. Tons of our culture has turned right over the past decades; gun control, education, and economics are the big topics that he mentions, and of course more exist, and its been a result combinations of public opinion shifting and the power of the state implementing agendas, aka normal politics.
Some of this is a bit of an overstatement - victories on like abortion for example haven't shifted minds, but instead exploited the US's ludicrous legal system to back-door legislative reform through the courts, its not a replicable experience in many other contexts or any other country. But the point overall stands, which gestures at the real problem - the only topic where the New Right's analysis 'holds up' is onthe sexual revolution and queer rights, revealing a movement irrationality obsessed with the sex front of the culture war. Here Hanania stumbles into his stupidity on why the right hasn't been successful fighting this, not really grappling with the fact that for example gay marriage is just really popular, this is a bottom-down fundamental sea change in how people view sex and society's role in policing it.
The mistake The Cathedral devotees make in analyzing society is that they take a single sip from a branch of the river of History and assume they have drunk it dry; Society swam left from 1950 to 1980, and the New Right cannot help but obsess endlessly over that transition as The Future. Note how common this is - so many people harken to "the 1950's" as the steady-state idyll of American society, the American economy, identify as 'traditional' everything from holiday songs to food recipes that were all invented around this time and have no older origin than that. Its all myths, and The Cathedral is an extension of that trend - by identifying US society in 1950 as a centuries-old continuity of tradition, it sees the changes of the ensuing decades as a radical discontinuity, and therefore a terrifying new normal.
It is wrong the same way nostalgia-memes are wrong; history never had a steady state, and people's ideas of even the 1950's themselves are primarily myth. Turns out historical conceptions of queer relationships have varied widly across time and space - none have been as progressive as today, but societally sanctioned spaces for queer relationships are legion. There has never been a steady state on sex and society.
But! Modernity *is* different from the past, and certain things have changed irrevocably - there is a verison of The Cathedral that is true. Technology & economic development have radically changed how we lived, from a society of farmers and their rulers to a society of urban professional workers. Cultural norms around sex & society varied all over the place; but (to radically simplify, there are a bunch of other factors) marriage for children to work the farms was near-universal, it was a structural necessity culture was built upon. This was a harsh limiter on sexual norms - said marriage for children needed to undergird it. That limiter is gone, forever, today. To not dive into it because its not the focus, with the limiter gone I don't think the 'sexual revolution', feminism, and queer rights is going to revert in a major way in the future.
Which will permit the right, as long as it stays maniacally obsessed with the idea that people don't have 1950's sexual morality anymore, to claim that they Always Lose. This is why Hanania stumbles, making the opposite mistake - seeing the failure to fight the sexual revolution as just a failed southern offensive in comparison to a successful northern attack on the front of education. The real trap is to not understand that culture is not freely malleable, only some of it is 'up for grabs' from the perspective of activists. Within the new status qup equilibrium of modernity, shifts right and left are not only possible but inevitable - but the rules of game have to be understood. Hanania may have only gotten halfway there, but props to him for opening my eyes to the contradiction.

From @tikatu
From @tikatu to @soniabigcheese
My prompts were:
1. Stuck in a chimney - any Tracy brother or maybe Jeff? 2. Herding Santa's reindeer - what do you mean Santa isn't real? 3. Star on the Tree - that's open for interpretation.
The last one spoke to me, so over 5500 words later, here it is! Hope y’all enjoy!
Merry Christmas!
Brianne Craig glanced up as the bell over the door to her studio rang as someone entered. It had been doing that all day; the Open Studios event brought much more foot traffic than she was used to. Her glance registered: male, adult, unlikely to break anything, possible sale.
She finished the line of solder and set her soldering iron into its bracket before smiling at the newcomer. "Welcome to my studio. Feel free to ask any questions you have."
"Thank you."
He browsed the shop, joining the few other visitors. She pulled out some more foil; the custom piece she was working on was nearly done. Engrossed in her work, she failed to notice when he came up to her work table, a small piece in his hand.
He cleared his throat. She started, glancing up.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." His smile was warm as he set the cardinal on the table. "I'd like to purchase this."
"Oh! Of course!"
He moved to see what she was working on as she processed the transaction and wrapped the piece securely for travel. "You do excellent work. I'm very impressed with your 3-D offerings."
She smiled, a touch of color on her cheeks, as she handed him his purchase. "Thank you."
His eyes remained on the worktable as he asked, "Do you take custom orders?"
"I do." Brianne waved toward the piece he'd been examining. "There's an example in front of you now. It's for an October wedding."
He swallowed before raising his brown eyes to meet hers. "Are you able to take a custom 3-D piece? I'd want it at the beginning of December."
"I'm… not sure." She paused to wave at the couple who left the studio. "Thanks for coming in!" Turning back, she was surprised to see he had a small holoemitter in one hand. The hologram was small but detailed, showing just what the possible commission would be.
"This is what I'm looking for." He gave her an abashed smile. "I'm an artist and also an engineer but sculpture isn't my forte—and I have no idea how to do this." He gestured toward the worktable. "Even if I did, my day job doesn't afford me much time to pursue it. I'd rather leave this in the hands of someone experienced."
She turned the hologram from side to side with a finger. "I can't see the colors very clearly."
"Would an exploded view help?" Before she could answer, he pressed a button and the piece grew in size, while the component parts spread out as in a blueprint.
"It helps me to see what you're asking for, but the blue tint still interferes with the colors." Leaning against the table, she folded her arms. "Can I ask why you want this?"
"Does that matter?" He closed down the exploded view.
"I'd be spending a lot of time on this; time I'd normally use to make smaller pieces to sell for Christmas. I also have at least one more commission to complete after this." She gestured to what she'd been working on. "Knowing the reason for a custom job often motivates me."
He drew in a deep breath, nodding as he let it out through his nose. "I can understand that." A small smile played about his lips. "This will be the first Christmas my brothers and I will have with our Dad in nearly a decade. In years past, we've not made much of an effort at home; either we've been working or we've spent the holiday at a friend's home in England."  Turning off the holoemitter, he stuck it back in his pocket. "We usually topped our tree with an angel our late mother had crocheted…"
"Virgil!" Alan sounded upset as he climbed up to the mezzanine where Virgil was painting. "It's broken!"
Laying his palette aside and dropping his brush into a cloudy jar of water, he wiped his hands on his jeans, expecting to get pieces of something he could repair. "What do you have  there?"
"Mom's angel!" Gordon followed on Alan's heels. "When we heard Dad could come home for Christmas, we went looking for the ornaments." He gestured toward the mass of shredded bubble wrap and tissue paper Alan held. "I think something got into the boxes."
The crocheted angel, made of well-stiffened white cotton thread, had been decimated. One wing was missing as was half the arm on the same side. Whatever had nibbled away it had also sat on it, crushing the long skirt. It was badly stained—Virgil could easily guess with what. He gently took it from Alan's hands, wrapping it up again to hide the damage.
"Can you fix it?" Alan turned a worried frown toward his older brother. Gordon put a hand on his shoulder as Virgil shook his head, eyes closing in sadness.
"I'm afraid there's no fixing this. Even if I had the skill to make another, it wouldn't be the same."
"It wouldn't be… Mom's." Gordon's voice was soft.
"Hey! What's going on up there?" Scott's voice carried from the lounge level.
Virgil sighed. He handed the bundle to Gordon. "Go show it to him. I'll be down in a minute."
"So, I want to replace that keepsake with another, one which will honor each member of the family. One that will hopefully come to mean just as much."
Brianne leaned her backside against the table, arms folded across her chest. She shook her head slightly. "I don't see how it could."
"But you see, the colors have meaning…" He pulled the holoemitter out again.
She shook her head more vehemently now. "I don't think you understand. Your mother put some of herself into that angel. That's what made it significant to you, to your family. What you've shown me… anyone could do it. If you want this new heirloom to have the same kind of meaning, you have to put something of yourself into the making of it."
He frowned at her, tucking the emitter away again. "The design, the colors are not enough?"
"Not for me." She countered his frown with a soft, compassionate expression. "Your mother likely found the angel pattern somewhere and worked it up from that. It was the love she put into it that made it special." Unfolding her arms, she turned back to the work table. "If you truly want to replace it, you have to do the same."
Neither spoke for a bit, then he let out a deep breath. "I won't take up any more of your time." Gathering up his purchase, he made for the door. "Thank you for considering my commission. Good luck with your work."
Before he could leave, she spoke up. "If you're willing, I could teach you how."
He stopped in his tracks and turned to face her. She gave a half shrug. "I have a beginner's class tomorrow night if you're available."
His response was to open his mouth as if to speak, a puzzled frown on his face. "Oh-kay. What time?"
"Seven pm. Right here."
"I'll be there." He turned, then swiveled back. "By the way, I'm Virgil. Virgil Tracy."
"Nice to finally get your name." She glanced up, a playful smile on her lips. "I'm Brianne. You can call me Bri."
He smiled. "Okay, Bri. I'll see you tomorrow."
"You certainly know your way around a soldering iron." Brianne glanced over his shoulder as he worked.
"In my line of work, I have to," he replied with a smile.
She'd started the class of four off with something simple, all right angles, easy to cut and piece together. Some of the equipment in her studio was familiar; he was sure he could use what he already had at home to serve the same purpose.
He found Brianne spent far more time keeping his fellow students focused on what they were doing than she did keeping tabs on him. They kept glancing his way, distracted by the presence of either a Tracy (billionaire) or a member of iR—or maybe even both. He fervently hoped they'd get used to him by the end of the class!
The protective gloves she'd insisted on were getting in his way as he soldered another seam. They were thicker than what he was used to--when he used any at all. Still, Brianne was a stickler for safety, which he appreciated. He decided to bring a pair of gloves from home for the next class.
"All right. Our time is up for today," Brianne announced. One of the students, a middle-aged woman, groaned as she straightened up.
"Now," Bri continued as she handed out shallow wooden boxes. "The frames you've been working in go inside a box. Careful there, Jeremy, keep it all together. That's better." Each person also got a small card. "Write your name on this to keep track of who's project is whose. Just tuck it in the box."
As everyone followed instructions, Bri came up to Virgil. "I have homework for you."
"Oh?" His interest piqued, he almost missed the box with his name tag.
"Can you make a full-sized model of the item you want to build? I think you'll get the hang of this…" She gestured to the work table. … faster than some of the other students." She handed him a small square of corrugated plastic. "I usually use this to build my models. You can find it at the craft store near the mall."
"Okay. I'll look for it." A stray thought hit him and he paused. "Would it be easier if I used 3-D printing to build the model? It would come out in one piece—or two, since I'd need both sides."
Brianne said goodbye to Jeremy before turning back to Virgil. "That might work. You'd have to scale the model down a bit if you want to build on top of it." She strode over to a shelf and took down a can of foam sealant. "I usually fill my prototypes with this stuff then build on it."
"Heh." Virgil grinned as he took the can from Bri. "This brings me back! If you only knew how many…" He shook his head. "Let's just say it was an inspiration in more ways than one." Handing it back, he gestured to it. "I'm glad to see it's been made safer."
"Me, too." She drifted back to the work table, taking a whisk broom to collect the leftover bits and bobs. "I'm sure we'll be tweaking it throughout…"
The pronoun caught his ear. "We?" he asked, his tone hopeful.
She shrugged. "Well, I will be teaching you each step of the way—though I expect you to do most of the work. The next two classes will give you the rest of the basics and I'm sure you'd like to hit the ground running after that."
Virgil grinned. "I sure will! Any other homework for me?"
Bri stopped to think for a moment, then nodded. "Yes." She ducked into the office at the back of the studio and came back with a card. "Take a look at these websites to get a feel for the colors you want. Don't order any yet, though. I'll want to look over your choices."
He took the card from her hand. "I will! Thanks!"
She walked him to the door. "See you next week—rescues permitting."
He chuckled. "My reputation precedes me, I see. Next week, then, unless my work interferes."
He stepped outside, hearing the lock engage behind him. Taking a deep breath, he let his shoulders relax. A grin spread over his face. He could hardly wait to see his family's amazement at the finished product.
"So, how was the date?"
Virgil rolled his eyes. "I told you, Gords. I'm taking a class."
Gordon, fresh from a supersoaker fight with Alan, tousled his hair dry. "Ah, but you didn't tell me what you're taking a class in!"
"You're right; I didn't." Pushing past his brother, Virgil headed for the piano. He had an urge to start playing Christmas carols. An urge he quickly squelched as being suspicious, considering they weren't really in the season yet. Still, there had to be something to scratch his itch…
As he went through the scores downloaded into the piano's holoemitter, he became aware of his younger brothers talking about him, loudly enough to for him to hear.
"What do you think, Al? Ballet? Tuba playing?"
"I dunno. Maybe making balloon animals or something." Virgil had his back to his brothers but he could almost see the expression on his brother's face through his voice. "I know! Ice sculpture! Or maybe chocolate sculpture!"
"Nah. Virge always said carving stuff wasn't his thing." There was a pause. "Well, except maybe for bushes." A snort. "How do you carve chocolate, anyway? You'd need a really big chunk of it!"
"Nononono!" Virgil could hear the leather on Thunderbird Three's chairs squeaking as Alan bounced. "Oh, man! There was this one guy…"
The alarm cut off his explanation. Virgil slid off the piano bench and headed to the sunken area of the lounge. Scott came running in from somewhere, a tablet in his hand, just as John's larger-than-life hologram shimmered into view.
"International Rescue, we have a situation…"
Later (much, much later to be honest), Virgil finally had time for his homework. As the 3-D printer chugged through his design, he browsed through the websites Brianne had provided. The offerings made his color-loving heart sing! He had multiple windows opened, choosing between several shades of red—loving the opalescent swirls here, the deep, saturated texture there. The blues—it was so hard to choose! There were ambers, both dark and light. Bright yellows and rich oranges. Teal or turquoise was harder to find, as was something silver, but they were available. And the greens! He had at least five favorites to choose from! He was even looking at various shades of purple.
"I'd better start making some choices here," he muttered, dismissing three out of the five green shades and adding the last two to a list.
The model finished printing. Brains chose that moment to enter the room.
"Wh-what's this?" He carefully lifted one of the pieces, turning it this way and that.
"Something I'm working on for that class I'm taking." Virgil put out a hand. Brains gave him the piece.
"Ah, the class your br-brothers don't believe you're, uh, taking." As Virgil double-checked the measurements of the model, Brains leaned up against the workbench. "Why this? Why now? I can guess wh-what you're doing…"
Virgil glanced at Brains, then lowered the piece with a sigh. "To replace Mom's crocheted angel."
"Ah." Brains cocked his head to one side a questioning expression on his face. "Why are y-you doing it yourself? Why not have it made?"
"Umm. Yeah." One side of Virgil's mouth quirked up in a half-smile. "About that." His eyes slid from Brains's face to gaze, unfocused, on the model. "My instructor reminded me that the angel was special because Mom made it. Poured something of herself into it. For this to truly replace it, requires the same." He turned his attention back to his companion. "So, I'm doing this—with help." His smile grew, became whole. "Learning a new art form is a plus." He paused. "I do want this to be a surprise."
Brains echoed his smile. "I see. Your s-secret is safe with me." He picked up the second part of the model. "Have you g-given thought to lighting this?"
"Some. I want to talk to Brianne—that's my teacher—and see what she suggests."
"I'll think on it, too, if that's okay."
Virgil grinned. "I welcome your input."
He was almost late for the next class; in fact, he had Gordon pilot while he got cleaned up and into civvies for a quick drop-off at a park three blocks from the studio. Because of the rescue's timing, he'd brought along his tablet and the model.
"How are you going to get back home, huh?" Gordon asked before Virgil disappeared into the pod.
"Don't worry; I'll find a way."
He caught his breath before entering the studio. Brianne was at the door, just about to lock him out.
"I thought you mightn't make it," she commented. "I heard you had to work today."
He nodded. "I had my younger brother drop me off."
Brianne's eyes widened. "Is he going to pick you up, too?"
He shook his head, chuckling. "He'd like to; he thinks I'm on a date. I'll probably call my sister instead."
The other students had their projects out already. Virgil dropped his bag in a corner and brought out his own. As they worked, Brianne talked more about the materials they were using. Virgil thought it was no coincidence, considering his homework.
When the class ended, Virgil took a minute to text Kayo. He didn't mind her knowing where he was; she kept secrets like no one else. She agreed to bring him home.
"So, what do we have?" Brianne asked. Virgil grinned and brought out his model.
After looking everything over, she rubbed her chin. "Some of your color choices aren't very festive."
"I know." He pointed to one of his selections. "That's for my sister. This red is for my youngest brother. I chose this for my father." Glancing up at her, he looked for comprehension. "I tried to tell you when we first met; this is all about my family."
She nodded, finally seeing his reasoning. "I remember." Putting the two pieces of the model together, she frowned. "At this size, you're going to end up with something too heavy for a tree. I think you should scale the size back by about twenty percent. Have you considered how this is going to be mounted?"
He paused to tamp down on his annoyance at her question. "Yes. That's why this end is open." He pulled the schematics up. "There'll be a clear tube here, perpendicular through the center, and the mount will attach vertically to the support."
"Why a clear support?" Her frown was more inquisitive than anything else.
"Lights!" He pulled out a sealed pouch. "These are rechargeable, remote-controlled LEDs; they shine cool, so don't need ventilation. I plan to run the charging dongle down through the mount." Her eyes narrowed, turning her inquisitiveness to a more incredulous expression. "Hey! We use these at work!"
"How are you going to create the support and mount?"
"Our 3-D printer will handle them." In fact, he planned on using one of the nigh-indestructible materials Brains had used in his Thunderbird.
There was a long silence as Brianne considered the idea. Her face relaxed a little; she'd decided it would work.
"All right. I'll go with it." She pointed at a blank spot at the center of each piece. "You've been pretty specific about everything else. What's going there?"
"Something to honor my mother." He rubbed the back of his head. "I know what I want, but I haven't found it yet. Not at this size, anyway. Making this smaller might help."
"What is it?"
Virgil told her. Brianne took another good look at the model and nodded slowly. Then she smiled, satisfied. "I think you've got a good plan here. Your color and material choices are good and once you have a size on that center object, I think I know someone who can provide what you're missing." She shook her head in amazement. "This will be gorgeous once it's done."
His shoulders dropped and he sighed in relief. "I'm so glad to hear you say that!"
There was a knock on the glass door. They turned to see who was outside. Kayo stood there, giving Virgil a small wave. He began to gather his things.
"I take it that's your sister?" Brianne glanced back and forth between the two of them. "You don't look much alike."
"Tanusha's a sister of the heart," he explained as they walked to the door. "So, what's my homework for this week?"
"Resize the model. Send me a list of materials; I'll order them—I can get things wholesale. Get me a measurement for the center item. Then come back for next week's class. We'll be working on framing."
"Got it!"
Brianne unlocked the door, opening it. Virgil stepped through. "Kayo, meet Brianne Craig. Bri, this is Tanusha Kyrano. We call her Kayo because she's knocked more than one person out."
Bri offered her hand. "Nice to meet you."
Kayo took it. "Same here. I hope he's not giving you trouble."
Bri laughed, shaking her head. "Nah. Though this project might."
"Really?" Kayo gave him a calculating look. "Now I'm intrigued."
"Uh-oh." Virgil's eyes flicked from one woman to the other. "I think I'm in trouble."
“That’ll depend on what you’re working on.” Kayo tugged on his arm. “Let’s get going.”
“Goodnight. See you next week!” Virgil called as she pulled him away.
“So, what’s this all about?” Kayo nudged him with an elbow as they headed for the parking garage where Shadow sat, invisible, on the top level.
Virgil told her. She nodded thoughtfully.
“I can see where you and Bri are coming from. Are you going to have time to finish this before the holidays?”
Virgil sounded upbeat. “Yeah, I think so. I should have time—depending on rescues.”
The following week, Brianne was surprised to see Virgil arrive early with his right arm in a brace.
“Pulled some tendons in my wrist,” he explained, his mouth twisted into a rueful expression. “Hazards of the job, unfortunately.”
“Are you all right? Is it painful?” Brianne took the bag he offered, setting it on the work table.
“I’m fine. It only hurts if I try to move it—or I fail to take my pain medication.” He shook his head, sighing. “I don’t think I can do anything at the class tonight, but I’ve brought my homework to see if you approve.”
He grabbed the edge of the bag with two fingers and drew out the shorter, squatter model pieces. Brianne took one of them and began to examine it.
“I did a little reading on doing this sort of thing. Since I figured we’d be making a mold to work on, I added the light tube and mounting base to the design.” He huffed out a laugh. “You can even put the two sides together and see how it’ll work.”
Brianne did just that, sliding the space for the light tube from one side into the other’s. “Yes. I think this will work well. The final product won’t be as heavy and your base should be sturdy enough, too.”
His face lit up with a grin; he pumped his uninjured fist. “Yes! This is really coming together now!”
Brianne chuckled. “This is just the beginning. There’ll be a lot more work to do.” She glanced at her watch. “I think we have enough time for me to show you the materials I ordered before people start arriving for class.”
“Then I can get out of your hair.”
She shook her head as she led him to a box in the corner of the studio. “I think you should stay. Even if you can’t work on your class project, you can watch and learn.”
Virgil considered this, lips pursed thoughtfully. “Okay. I’ll stay.”
It took three weeks until Grandma declared him healed enough to go back to his regular activities. Three weeks of anxiety, not just about this project but also other irons he had in his personal fire. As far as rescues went, he was allowed to ferry his brothers to and from the Danger Zone twice. As far as the project went, he managed to create the mold on which this grand replacement would be built.
“Are you sure about this teal?”
Virgil glanced up from where he was tracing a pattern to cut. “Like I said, the colors represent my family. The teal is for Kayo.”
“And the purple? Who does that represent?” Brianne was cutting small strips of said material.
“My grandmother. She’s been the rock of the family, which is why her color will go around the clear mounting base.” He turned his attention to the pattern. “It’s her favorite. She wears it every day.”
“Ah, I see, now.”
Virgil took a metal straight edge and began to cut through the streaky blue material. It reminded him so much of blue skies with white cirrus clouds. So very, very Scott…
“Shit!”
Brianne glanced up. “Virgil?”
“I’m okay. The shortest corner broke. Again.” He snagged the pattern and began to trace it out, not looking at his instructor.
“This is why I bought as much as I did.” She returned to her own cutting, the knife gliding smoothly across the surface. Upon reaching the end, she separated the cut piece from its surroundings and laid it carefully with its mates. Straightening, she arched back to stretch.
“I think we need coffee.”
“I can get this. I’m just pressing too hard.”
Brianne snatched the marker out of his hand. “We need coffee,” she said, her firm tone butting up against his fuming scowl. “Besides, I have something to show you.”
She drew him into the office where a coffee maker stood, a gadget that made one cup at a time. She filled the reusable pod, slid it into the machine, and set it to brew. As the aroma filled the air, Virgil drew in a deep breath, closing his eyes, and letting the breath out slowly. He did this twice more, his shoulders relaxing, his glower smoothing out. Brianne opened her small safe; she often worked with gold and her insurance company insisted on the security. Taking out a small velvet bag, she picked up Virgil’s hand and placed it in his palm.
“These came today.”
Opening the bag, he spilled the contents into his hand. The gasp was slight, barely heard over the gurgle of the brewer, but it was there nonetheless.
“They’re beautiful.” He picked one up between thumb and forefinger. “Better than I imagined.” He tucked the items back into their bag.
“A friend from Austria sourced them for me.” Bri handed him a cup of coffee and set to brewing her own. “Now, tell me about them.”
“They represent my mother, who died in an avalanche years ago.” He kept his gaze on his cup. “Like my brother, Scott, she was born in April.”
“So her birthstone.”
“Yeah.”
“You put them—you put her--in the center.”
There was a long silence. Bri sipped her coffee and waited.
Finally, he spoke. “It seems fitting. Even though she’s no longer with us, her influence remains strong. It’s my way of honoring her, I guess.”
Bri hid a soft smile behind her coffee. “I think it’s very fitting.” She sipped and swallowed. “And you were right out there. You were pressing too hard. Perhaps physically; most definitely emotionally. I told you from the first this would take time. But a lighter touch and a touch more patience will see us finish this in plenty of time.”
Finally, Virgil smiled. “Thanks, Bri. I’ll try to have a lighter touch, both with the knife and with my impatience.”
“Good.” She set her cup aside; no beverages were allowed at the work table. “Now you finish up with Scott and I’ll work on your grandmother. I’ll see you again next week.”
“Thanks for this, Brains!” Virgil held up the separate pieces of the lighting tube and base. “I appreciate you printing this out in clear cahelium for me.”
“You’re, uh, welcome.” Brains hitched a hip onto the workshop’s desk. “How’s it c-coming?”
“We’re almost finished! Today we’ll fit this in, install the lights, and cover the base with purple slices. Then just a few finishing touches and it will be done!” He shook his head. “I had no idea this was as fiddly and time-consuming as it is. But I’ve learned so much and, who knows? I might just take the intermediate course!”
They laughed. Brains knew very well the actual class was over; Virgil had finished his project there. Besides guiding and helping him finish his Christmas piece, Bri was gearing up for Christmas herself, fulfilling her other commissions and making Christmas ornaments for purchase. He’d satisfied the invoice she’d sent—a final bill with any further hours or materials would be due when the project was complete and she had a minute to breathe.
To be truthful, he was going to miss working on this.
“Are the lights charged?”
He clicked on the remote. “Yup!” Shaking his head, he murmured, “I can’t believe how great that looks.”
“I know! It’s gorgeous!” Bri nudged him on the upper arm. “You do good work, Mr. Tracy.”
“So do you, Ms. Craig.”
She pulled out a length of recyclable bubble wrap. “Let’s put this baby to bed and wrap her up for safe transit.”
Finally, his replacement project snugly packaged and gift-boxed, Virgil headed for home. Tomorrow they were supposed to decorate the tree—rescues permitting.
Decorating the three-meter-tall spruce was half-chaos and all fun. After finding the angel in such poor condition, Grandma, Scott, and Alan teamed up to go through all the other ornaments, discarding anything broken, repairing what could be fixed, and cleaning everything. As they worked, Scott or Grandma told Alan stories about the decorations—like how Grandpa insisted on a new, tall, utterly kitschy Nutcracker for each one of the boys. Or how Lucy crocheted several new snowflakes every year—never using the same pattern twice. And the reason they used beads for garland instead of tinsel—something to do with a cat who ate it and got sick.
Brains brought two anti-gravity lifts from the hangars so they could reach the top boughs. Gordon was banned from using one for nearly falling off and taking the tree down with him! John untangled lights and garland, handing them off to Alan and Kayo, who circled the tree to install them. Jeff put hooks on ornaments, bringing up the memories they provoked, and handing them off to Scott and Virgil to either hang or send up to Alan and Kayo.
“Now, where’s the angel?”
Jeff’s simple question brought the whole party to an abrupt halt. Alan looked at Gordon and Scott.
“Didn’t you tell him?”
Gordon shook his head. “I thought Scott was going to tell him!”
“Tell me what?”
“I’m sorry, Dad.” Virgil’s voice cut through the silence. “Earlier this year, we discovered something got into the ornaments.”
“I still d-don’t know what it was.” Brains sounded apologetic.
“Whatever it was,” Gordon picked up the thread, “did a number on Mom’s angel. Chewed some of it up, pooped on it…”
“That’s enough, Gordon.” Scott’s tone showed his disgust.
“What?! That’s what it did!”
Jeff sighed. “I get the picture, son. No need to continue.” He addressed Virgil. “I suppose it couldn’t be repaired.”
Virgil shook his head. “No, but… I’ve been working on something. Something different. A new tree topper that represents us all, and honors Mom, too.” He handed the gift box to his father. “I’d like you to open it, Dad.” He moistened his lips. “You might want to sit down.”
Jeff did as he asked. With the box in his lap, he untied the ribbon and lifted the lid.
“Oh my!”
From the folds of bubble wrap, Jeff drew a stained glass star.
Seven equal points spread out around it, with the base making a sort of eighth arm. Each arm had a panel of pebbled clear glass and a panel of colored glass, usually something opaque. The top arm had white shot through with silver, while the arm to its right had a blue with milky white streaks, like thin cirrus clouds. Next was a dark green, like oil paint smoothed over a canvas, uneven.
The arm to the right of the base was a fiery tangerine, invoking magma shooting toward the sky. To the left of the base was a teal, cool, and laced with a touch of gray, ranging from dark to light in swirls.
Yellow was next in line, bright and sunny, shot through with paler tones. To the left of the top stood red, resembling a nebula in space. At the base, slivers of wavy purple shades alternated with clear.
And in the center on both sides, faceted circles, shiny and clear as the top of a diamond.
“It’s… beautiful.” Jeff gazed up at his son. “Did you… did you make this?”
Virgil nodded. “With a lot of help from a professional who taught me how.” Gesturing to it, he explained, “As you can see, everyone in the family is here,” he tapped a nail on the gem, “even Mom.” He shot a look at Gordon, eyebrow raised. “This was the class I was taking, Gords. Not a date, as you can see.”
Gordon shrugged, a mischievous grin on his face. “For all I know, you could have been dating a stained glass artist.” “I thought sculpture wasn’t your thing.”
Virgil turned his attention to Alan. “Hacking away at stone or ice isn’t. But I’m very good at putting things together., once I know how.”
“Who’s going to put this on the tree?” John asked.
Gordon and Alan jumped up and down, shouting variations of “Me, me!” and “I will! I will!”
Jeff held it out to Virgil. “You should, son.”
Virgil shook his head. “No. Brains should. He helped me build some of the more fiddly bits.”
Brains blinked. “M-Me?”
“Of course you.” Jeff held out the star to his engineer. “Put it up there, Brains.”
John took charge of the star until Brains was securely on the lift. Then, as it rose slowly, Virgil tapped his dad on the shoulder, gesturing to the box.
“There’s a remote…”
Jeff dug it out. Brains secured the star to the top of the tree and descended again.
“On five… four… three… two… one!”
Jeff hit the power button.
Light blazed from the pebbled glass. The colored glass was backlighted clearly.
And the gems threw rainbows all over the room.

Rachel Daly x Millie Bright x Reader
Part Four - Departure
Posted: 22/04/23, Edited: 24/09/23
AN: Thank you to @ac3may for the late night brainstorming sessions for this series 💜
“I’m gonna miss you sooo much!” Rachel whined from the drivers side of the car. “We’re only going for a week Rach!” Millie chimed from the back seat, poking fun at her best friend’s need to have you around 24/7. “You’re not in love, you don’t understand!” your girlfriend snapped in jest, “well that’s a bit rude” Millie muttered to herself barely in earshot but just loud enough that you heard her. “This is the longest we’ve ever been apart!” Rachel’s whining continued as she placed a hand on your knee which you ignored. She’d been determined to wind you up since last night and was getting on your last nerve, “I can’t remember the last holiday I went on” sighing as you continued to daydream out of the window at the passing scenery. “Oh okay, do I not exist? Can nobody hear me?” Rachel looked around the car at the two girls next to her dramatically. Rolling your eyes before turning your head to look at your woman, “so this is my life is it? Stuck to you forever?” your side eye burned a hole in her head partnered with a smirk to show you’re playing with her. “We haven’t even been on holiday together yet and you’re going with Millie! I heard that eye roll by the way. I’ve lost count of how many eye rolls you’ve done during this journey!” Rachel’s tone jokey but extremely jealous you were going away without her. “Oh my god you needy little bitch!” Millie straight face stared at her bestie in the rear view mirror. “Do you know how badly I need a holiday!?” “Yes! You don’t shut up about it! When you get to Champion’s League, then you can have a holiday!” Millie swiped at her causing you to smack a hand over your mouth to hide the giggle coming from within. Rachel’s hand tightened the grip on your knee hearing you trying to hold back your laughter, knowing all too well that once one of you starts laughing, you’re all gonna set off and once you three start, there’s no stopping you. “Well I’m sure you two will have a looovely time without me” Rach continued sarcastically “just think of me when you’re soaking up that sun yeah! You sure as hell need some Brighty!” The banter inside the car was too much for your hand to hold back as the laughs came flooding out of your mouth making the other two to erupt in laughter as well. “In all seriousness though..” Millie leant through the middle to look at Rach “we won’t miss ya!” she mocked, trying her best to act serious but struggled to keep a straight face as Rach attempted to swipe at her behind the seat. “Wooow okay, maybe I’ll find a new best friend and girlfriend while you’re away” she said acting smug with herself. “I’d like to see you try and find someone that’ll put up with all your crap!” you hit back at her as you interlocked your fingers with hers. “I think you’re both being very rude!” Rachel ended in a silly voice as she pulled into the airport car park.
Chelsea lost the first leg of the Champions League semi final which you all watched together the day before. Even though she was injured, Millie was always going to go to Barcelona with the girls but with so many players injured, there was plenty of free space on the plane and she’d managed to blag you on. Who says no to a free holiday? No one, that’s who. Rach had encouraged you into going and was excited until you got in the car this morning and started to act unbearably needy. It was cute really but you liked playing with her, she knew you’d miss her too but at the moment you were having fun with it.
Lugging the bags out of the car Millie walked away to take a phone call leaving you and Rach alone. Sinking into the boot of the car you took a moment to say goodbye “I am gonna miss you yknow” you said stroking her forearm knowing it makes her feel tingly. “Of course I do, you don’t hide it very well” she winked as her elbow prodded your ribs. “Don’t do that when I’m leaving” you shoved her shoulder gently “what? Wink?” she pushed as she winked harder and repetitively in your face causing you to push her away with more force, “okay you ruined the moment! My last memory of you won’t be my hot and sexy girlfriend, it’ll be the pain in the arse I somehow fell in love with!” you laughed. “Oh you know exactly how you fell in love with me” her sultry tone paired with her bedroom eyes came as close to your face as possible without actually touching you, making your stomach do somersaults and resisting her impossible. Grabbing the back of her neck you pulled her into a slow and passionate kiss goodbye.
“Ahem” the sound of Millie making her presence known broke you both apart “we’re boarding, we better go”.
Rachel carried your bag and held your hand tightly through the terminal until you reached the gate where the team were congregated. Passport in hand you hugged your girl as the team filed through border control, there were club photographers and social media personnel everywhere. Assuming Rach wouldn’t want to kiss you on camera you said goodbye and turned to join the queue. You should have known Rachel wasn’t going to have any of that as she grabbed your wrist pulling you back towards her and embracing you one last time, feeling flashes of light on your skin as your lips locked together. “I’ll miss you princess” your speech soft and a little emotional as you tucked her hair behind her ear. “Have an amazing time beautiful, I love you so much” was her response and with that you were swept through to the plane tunnel, “I love you more!” you called out to her as the door closed. “Never” Rachel smiled under her breath, the distance between you already making your love for each other grow fonder, something you didn’t think possible.

. cookies .
. silvio x reader . 892 words . fluff one-shot .
Christmas was always my favorite time of year. Snow covering the world like powdered sugar on a pastry, peppermint and chocolate scents greeting my senses like an old friend, the surge in joy the entire world experienced at once. It was just beautiful. A time to share with your family and friends, a time to celebrate and eat good food, a time to remind everyone in your life how much you love them. Why wouldn’t I love something so magical?
Something else magical was the fact that I actually had a boyfriend this holiday season! His name was Silvio Ricci, and when we first met, I don’t think either of us actually envisioned dating one another. His initial pompous, bratty attitude made me angry, and he treated me like a nuisance. Time, however, shoved us forward into one another’s arms, and a feeling of understanding was born. Something within us shifted, and in the span of weeks we’d gone from bickering in each other’s faces to making out in his bedroom. He was my first in a lot of ways, and now he’d be my first holiday boyfriend.
Silvio confessed to me he’d never really done a lot of holiday things with his family. None of the Christmas decorations, or movies, or light viewings, or anything most people did around this time of year. This, obviously, could not stand. As long as Silvio was with me, he was going to celebrate the holidays the way they should be! He was going to have fun and feel that warm feeling in his chest when someone thanked him after receiving a special present. Some activities would be a lot of fun, like Christmas movies, but I had one particular idea in mind.
In front of me was a tub of dough balls that I had made the previous night. Silvio and I were going to make cookies together, and he was going to love it just like I did!
“Ay! I’m here!” Silvio called, opening the door. “(Y/N), you here?”
“Yeah, I’m in the kitchen! Come on!”
Silvio entered the kitchen and widened his eyes. “Are we gonna be using that whole thing?” he asked, staring at the dough.
“Of course! I made it. We might as well use it, right?” I turned around and rummaged through the drawer, pulling out an apron. “Here, put this on.”
He wrinkled his nose. “Huh?” Taking the apron, he looked at it and slipped it over his body. “Like this?”
“Yeah, just like that. Have you never worn an apron before?”
“No,” Silvio grumbled. “Never had a reason to.”
Nodding slowly, I led him towards the kitchen table. “Well now you have a reason. Alright, so you’re gonna need this.” I handed Silvio a kitchen roller, and he inspected it closely. We sat down and I plucked the dough balls out of the tub.
“So what you’re gonna do is roll the dough flat and hand it back to me. I’m gonna put this walnut mixture in it and fold it! Your only job is to roll the dough.”
He looked at the dough ball and put it on the tray in front of him, starting with the roller. “Uh…”
“Ah, too thin. Don’t flatten it too much!” I advised. “Here, let me show you.” I put some sugar on the roller and the tray, gently grabbing his hands and rolling the dough with it. “There you go! Not too much pressure, but just enough.”
Silvio turned to me and gave a small smirk. “Well thank you, baby.” He wrapped his arm around my neck and pulled me in for a kiss. “Alright. Let’s make these.”
I kissed him on the head and sat back in my seat, watching him attempt to roll out some dough. “Ah, that one’s good! Here, hand it over!”
He did so, and I finished it, putting a nut mix in it and pinching it closed. “Our first cookie done. Alright, let’s keep going!”
The both of us kept at it, working our hands until they cramped and making a mess of dough and confectioners sugar. Every time I looked up, Silvio’s brow was furrowed in serious concentration. He rolled the dough with care and routinely powdered the tray and roller with sugar so as to keep it from sticking. I couldn’t help but smile, and I let out a small chuckle.
“Hm? What are you laughing about?” he responded, growing a smile of his own. “Is there somethin’ on my face?”
“No, not at all! It’s just that you’re doing really well for a complete first-timer. And you’re taking this so seriously. It’s… it’s really nice. I didn’t know if you’d enjoy this or not.”
“Tch, what are ya talking about?” Silvio’s face pinkened a little. “I mean, if it’s something you wanna do of course I’m gonna wanna do a good job.” He looked back up at me. “You get so happy talkin’ about these things, you know.”
“Do I?” I grinned and shrugged. “Well I get even happier talking about you.”
He stood up from his chair and pulled me up with him, lifting me up onto the counter.
“Silvy!” I laughed, hugging his shoulders. “Come on, we still have cookies to make!”
“We’ll get back to them in a second. I’ve got my eyes on somethin’ sweeter.”

A Dinner on Figure Eight
"Are you sure the tie isn't too much?" He asked nervously while standing on the steps of your childhood home. Your fingers adjusted the creases made in his dress shirt from his inability to remain still as you smirked.
"You look perfect, Pope."
"No." He corrected, his hands magnetized to your hips.
"YOU look perfect...damn..." He shook his head. "Do you think it's too late to take advantage of the fact you're wearing a skirt?" He asked with his forehead pressed softly into yours while his fingers contrasted this in eagerness at your waist. In the same vindication, you pulled that very tie loose in bringing him closer to you before teasing his lips with the ghosting of your own gliding across his.
"Your gift today is in here..." You explained while tapping his jacket, still worn over his arm. He offered a quizzical look before pulling your panties to view.
"Babe-"
"Just something to make you a bit less nervous..."
"Now all I'm going to be able to think about is getting my hands under this skirt-" You smirked. The sudden clearing of your father's throat having sent Pope to turn sickly in appearance as you smoothed over what you could.
"I hope you haven't had all the champagne yet..." You offered as you pulled Pope behind you, as your family greeted you with love. But in this example, you were separated from Pope, who held his own through the strongest confidence he could have before you were allowed to join him again.
"You remember Topper?" Your mother asked. "It's been some time since you two spent some time together-"
"Mom-"
"Just friends catching up. Topper has actually decided to come to a school closer to home." He nodded, broadcasting a smile that paled against Pope's,  that you hadn't seen since you crossed over to Figure Eight.
"Nothing wrong with weighing your options..." Your father spoke to Topper, with a side glance that made you well aware his words were more directed to you.
"I don't know. Seems like Topper was completely content where he was. Unless it was the pressure of his family that made him switch. Then he isn't doing it for himself...which he should because they should just want him to be happy..."
"And I'm sure one day HE will understand that everything they've done was to give the best life."
"And what if your idea of the best isn't what they want?" Your eyes narrowed, your conversation silencing all others as Pope cleared his throat.
"I can go if-"
"No. We're staying. Can you pass the gravy?" You asked your father, a rather lackluster conversation holding nobody's attention as Pope lowered his voice to you.
"Baby, I don't want to be a reason anything is tense, I can wait outside." To this, you clenched your jaw at the thought. Ever since Pope and you had begun dating, he made you feel precious at every second at his side. And in those you were apart, whether it had been because of school or work, a sweet, sometimes sultry, text would remind you that you were on his mind. But all your family saw as a collective had been his lack of self sustainability.
"Actually..." You turned to face Pope, teasing that same tie left loose from your former moment.
"I want you to fuck me." He choked on his drink, the hand at rest over your crossed legs having tightened as he turned into you.
"Baby-"
"I want to feel you inside of me while I tell you how good it is..." His eyes fluttered in a fight to stay open. "I want you to make me come as hard as you always do...but then I want you to kiss me..." You brought two fingers to his jaw to turn him to face you. His eyes locked onto yours. "And then I want you to do it again..."
Your name was spoken as a scold as you turned to face your mom.
"Don't be rude..."
"I'm talking to my boyfriend." You corrected as Pope was still drowning in your request to pay much attention to your family. Even Topper’s presence faded at the thought of your words.
"Who spent the entire last five paychecks on your gifts by the way....ones you don't deserve-"
"We can just-"
"But he does. Every single thing I'm going to let him do to me in about five minutes-"
"Enough!" Your father spat.
"Oh..." You reached into Pope's pocket. "There you go, Top...that's the closest you're gonna get..." You glared at your family before pulling Pope by his hand and leading him back outside.
"Baby-"
"I'm tired of them doing this. Im sorry if I embarrassed you, Pope, I just can't stand that they don't see in you what I do, it's-" He silenced you with a kiss to your lips. A palm on either cheek ran to your hair, made loose by this grip. Those loose eaves at a natural rest on the back of either shoulder as you were pinned against the car.
"I love you."
"Show me how much." You challenged as he moved to pull open the passenger side of the car before you moved past him and opened the back.
"How are you going to take me from behind and slap my ass with such little room?" You challenged as he clenched his jaw, catching your arm just before you climbed over the seat.
"I wanted to get you home...to a bed...somewhere I can tie you down because you're being particularly coquettish..."
"I can't wait. I won't. " you turned to face him, playing with his tie before sliding it off of his neck, "But you can still tie me down if you want...You might want to because I don't think I can keep my hands still..." You offered a pout as he moved to kiss you, you retracting at the very last moment, before he followed you into the backseat.
"You really want to do this here?" He asked as you slipped up your skirt enough to reveal the validation of those bare hips, now accentuated with your dripping sex. With a cocked brow, he lowered himself to the floor of the back and angled you quickly until his tongue was at those folds.
"Oh my God!"
"Mmm...mmmhmmm..." He moaned into you as your body began to move against him.
"Pope!" The windows were quick to condensate.
"I wanna feel you inside me! I wanna feel you fuck me!"
He undressed, leaving his dress shirt in a part and his pants gathered at his ankles in impatience, before bringing you back into the kneeling of his legs.
"Oh shit!" He grunted, his grasp holding tightly onto the fabric of your dress at your stomach as the other hand moved to your breast, countering this cover.
"I need to feel all of you-"
"Im yours to touch...yours ro fuck, Pope...so fuck me..." You whimpered as he tightened you further into him.
"I love hearing you say that...But I love making it true..." He thrusted into you, your hands projecting from his wrists and to the door in front of you, forcing a handprint evidential to the window.
"I love you!" You belted as he quickened.
"I love you, baby..." He groaned into your shoulder, grunting and moaning as he built to his own edge.
"Pope! I need to come, you feel too good..."
"I want you to do it..." You faced him.
"While I'm inside of you, baby...let me feel you touch yourself for me..."
"Mmm..." You began immediately, quick to bring yourself to tremors as his depth made this possible.
"Oh my God..."
"I need you!" You announced as he nodded, exchanging your hand for his own.
"Nobody has ever felt like you, Pope!"
"Nobody will. Because nobody will take care of you like this..."
"No...nobody!" You validated as he nodded.
"Good...so good-shit! Baby!"
"Come for me, Pope-" But instead, he retracted, pulling you to sit normally on the seat. A hand to the back of your neck brought you to eye him as his dominant hand moved in attack to your sex. Pistoning fingers forcing your mouth to part.
"Fuck! Are you trying to make me squirt?!"
"Wouldn't be the first time..." He smirked. "Not like you have panties in the way..."
"Pope!" You gripped his wrist.
"It's too much!"
"I can't hear you baby...you're coming too loudly-"
"Oh my God! Oh my GOD!" You gasped, that river of pulsating pleasure making you unabashed to your body's flexing against him. Wild hips and quick moans leaving you desperate and manic.
"Fuck..." He smirked, reaching to suck his fingers as you straddled him.
"I said twice..." You reminded.
"You did, didn't you?" He grinned as you brought him back inside of you.
"It isn't too much?"
"It always is with you...but I love it." You confirmed as you rode him into his own orgasm. Your name, a song on his lips as you grinned widely to the victory in what your body brought to him. His grip and his moaning validating this as he shot into you.
"Let's get you home..." Pope explained as you paused with a hand to his chest.
"I am." You kissed him sweetly as he reciprocated deeply. He reminded you of both love and lust with his touch. Soft but passionate. The perfect combination of everything. And that was what he was to you.
Everything.
