tigerclaw. ramble under the cut but basically hes a cool villain i think a lot about how he could have been better if the erins and the publishers werent pussies

anyway hes such a complex character and the result of how living by the code so devotedly can fuck up your views and just how terrible clan life is. there are many cats who are examples of this but tigerclaw is so special to me in his way of exhibiting this. if you really consider it, he truly believed he was doing something good and bringing the clans to how they should be. like he grew up with the code being heavily enforced and the adults around him that he idolized and trusted selfishly using the code to justify their actions and beliefs. like its not only thistleclaw if you think about the enviornment he lived in. whats more doesnt really help that he was already seen as a threat or a nuisance as a freaking kitten. of course hes going to grow older and assume theres a certain path for him, and that he should trust and encourage the code no matter what. i also dont believe him wanting to be leader or deputy was him being selfish or knowingly evil, rather, him believing he was truly meant for those roles. therefore it was only right for him to do what he must to get his way to make things as they should be. he viewed himself as someone rightously abiding by the rules established by his ancestors, someone worthy to set the clans in their places and lead them to rightousness. then having to witness changes to the clans def prbly set him off further, and he just knew in his head he was the one. i can admit that his actions seemed hypocritical considering his relationship with sasha and the way he went about things, but i truly believe they were like more than they seemed. for one i dont think he believed he was going against his beliefs or perhaps he recognized this but didnt think it was a bad thing if he was still making 'right'. then i think he also had this mindset that his actions were a part of a greater plan or what he believed to be a part of his plan, that he jad to do certain things make choices to reach his goal. additionally, becaise of the way he grew up, i think he believed it was better to sort of repress his emotions. like i think a lot of his actions were driven by his inner emotions and there are times where he kind of breaks the whole cold frame and we get kind of a different character (my Favourite scene is when he kind of expresses like a different, emotional side after meeting his kids again even if he doesnt outright share his feelings and for a moment as he witnesses this firestar sees him as a person not like the enemy in his story that drove him to that point. but then hes unsure if its some sort of ploy. then thats never brought up again bc the early wc the erins just Did That)(another scene i wanna talk abt is how prior to the reveal hes shown to be kind of fearful of ravenpaw giving away what hes done before he just plots to get rid of him does anyoneremeber when firestar catches him freaking out at the gathering and wonders why the fuck is he acting weird. i really think at some point he just got better at being evil lying cold etc it was never something he was good at or born with it it was developed and fed). it just makes you wonder if everything was better what kind of person would he have been. then his relationship with others ugh hes shown to be caring and hearty within the clan in the start even tho its SO MINOR. i believe it just says a lot about him. hes respected nd he likes his place he believes hes deserving of leading the clans to greatness he can do it and everyone makes him believe so but then there are those who want to change those ways theyre threatening him and his ideal way of the clans built so perfectly by the code and its pure people. i could go on and on but i dont want to make this too too long

but idk i feel like a lof of the things about tigerclaw early on are ignored because people focus on the depiction after tpb. in which hes another soulless power hungry bad guy also he hates his kids despite what we are shown before. because early on in the series you can see the erins wanted something interesting for him and his relationship with firestar with other characters, his way of thinking, the way he priorities the code, how his enviornment altered him. and yet thats all thrown away all the concepts are replaced its poorly developed and its just makes me go bangs my fist why why why we could have had it better fuck the erins

Happy hobbit day!! Today I have been pretty tired. I slept very well, but my I guess having to commute is draning a lot of energy from me. I did struggle a bit to stay focused in class, but we touched interesting subjects, and I can confirm I like the way this professor carries the lectures. He did finish a bit later than usual which for me meant missing my bus and having to wait an additional 50 minutes. I phoned my mom to have a chat and pass the time and walked around, and I ended up buying this amazing ghost mug. It's smaller than what I would normally go for, but it's a great addition to my small collection. When I got home I also went to my herbalitst's shop to get a couple of teas i had run out of (and there of course I saw a bunch of other beautiful mugs and I want them all).

Cozy hobbit activities and productivity:

Had a walk to go to uni and back

To answer your questions, idk if it counts as bullying but I was the target of some stuff like that yep, and tbh I don't really know why. People can have the opinions they want but I will be honest in the tbhk fandom you like a character or a ship that is not 'what everyone in the fandom should like' and people start menacing you for no reason.

A lot of people in this fandom are kids who sometimes don't get what insulting people do. (and not only kids but it is one of the reason, I feel like a lot don't have 'internet basis' like not saying everything about yourself on twitter help.)

Which is also one of the reason I am taking my distances with anyone in this fandom because I had too many unwanted stuff like when I was just trying to be nice and answer messages. It's not because we are in the same fandom that we are bffs.

This is sad to say but yes I don't think you can just have fun 'fun' in this fandom anymore, people will make sure you have a hard time for no reason and honestly I am tired of people who are unable to understand that we aren't just bots on the internet and that Surprise! people have feelings wow

I hope you will be better but don't hesitate to take some time off the fandom a bit ^^ I am being overly dramatic here because I had some bad experiences (I've been in the fandom since the start of 2020 so welp) but a lot of people are really nice and I am sure you can make some friends too ^^ (I did too! even if a lot aren't in the fandom anymore, it's nice seeing mutuals from far away doing their lives)

Episode 06 gives new light about Lan letting Moiraine go that easily on episode 02. Even though he says he needs the bond to understand her, i think he is underestimanting their bond beyond the magical one. But the fact is he knows her, knows how stubborn she is, knows she wouldn't stop her attempt to push him away. So he needed a bigger weapon, someone that doesn't need a magic bond to read moiraine entirely and someone that is able to disarm her and also understands the connection to the one power. Someone that loves Moiraine as much he loves her.

there are a handful of guys doing work on my apartment building, and it's been a frustrating time for it---I've got a lot of plants on my back porch, and I had to move all of them so they could do their work. (The hot pepper plant is taller than me, and once I moved it I had to jury rig something to keep the whole thing upright; it was a hassle.) Except this morning I came back from the farmer's market to find that they had finished my deck and moved all my plants back!

I think there's been a frightening amount of people on both sides of the Israel/Palestine conflict spectrum treating the whole thing like they're picking a football team. I think part of this issue stems from many people now electing to get their news from Instagram and Tiktok, and another part is how difficult it is to find reliable news articles that aren't funded by a party that stands to gain something from swaying international opinion.

I think most people's hearts are in the right place, being against human suffering and killing.

But I also think that far too many people have been swept up in "being on the right side of history" that they're not viewing this issue through the nuanced lens it really deserves.

From what I personally have read, this has been the fairest explanation (and the easiest for me to understand) of the conflict with viewpoints from both Palestinian and Israeli people.

My conclusion is that this is ultimately so very tragic because people are suffering on account of their governments' decisions. I don't think either Palestine or Israel (as governments, not people) are correct. I think the only correct thing is to stop the violence, and to love thy neighbor, and to care about one another. But I also have no idea how to get there, and am certainly not equipped in any sort of diplomatic or militaristic way to even begin to have anything to say about it.

I hope all the calling for ceasefire affects change. I hope all the donations and aid get through and save lives.

a doodle i think about a lot based off a doodle i did at work on a whimsy and i think if i just combine these two i'd have th perfect sketch... alas...

to give some background cuz that's totally necessary: what i find interesting about spideypool (among many things) is how deadpool sees spiderman as an ideal hero whereas spidey sees dp as a worse version of himself (see:deadpool (2008) by daniel way)

and this is furthered by joe kelly's arc(s) in spiderman/deadpool where we see dp not only turning a new leaf but also subsequently ripping up that metaphorical leaf to protect spidey's morals. and kurt and pete talk a lil bit about peter's saintliness, how he doesn't view himself a saint but could nonetheless be considered one by virtue of his near squeaky clean soul...

so obv i tried to depict that with like a placing of a crown of thorns on spidey's head. orig in my work doodle, as u might b able to tell, there's more forcefulness to it, but when i redrew it recently, it's more gentle... th reluctance from spidey i think is obvious, but wade's placement could b seen as both the veneration of spiderman and the offloading of burden from dp to spidey... i think the latter is more true for daniel way spideypool, esp w th headspace dp was in at the time...

idk if any of that made sense LOL but i think i might try to continue to refine th idea...

Let me be super clear because end of the day it's your gaming experience HOWEVER considering the Veilguard cast seems to run the gamut between 30s and 50s, with Emmerich being one of the more popular AND older members...it would be cool to see Rooks that are intended to be older.

Don't assume your PC has to be in their 20s just by way of being the main character, that's all I'm saying.

Ahh thank you so much! I used linen, I think mine's a bit lighter in weight than the show one but tbh I think it worked just fine. As far as I can tell the show one isn't lined, so I didn't line mine, either. If you do the same just make sure your fabric isn't too light!

But highly recommend something natural with a nice weave, has a nice texture and will make distressing later easier!

Have so so much fun at the show! From what I've seen, in person and online, there's always people in costume, or at least themed clothing! But I feel similarly, I only wore my suit jacket over a dress when I went bc I was a bit too shy to do full cosplay (plus I wanted to go as myself, just dressed up a little).
