warnings: they are so stupid and awkward and cute but i just wanted to write this because i found my old sketchbook from years ago lol. not proofread, sorry if there are any typos <3

the sound of hurried scribbling and rough strokes on the paper filled the room as he tried his best to stifle a yawn. he couldn't help but cringe a little at the possibility of you seeing his weak attempt to do so, eyes focused on your form as you continued to bring those quick and light lines to life in your sketchbook.

with your gaze flickering between the book on your lap and him in front of you, you made the same mistake over and over- making eye contact.

although you were looking back and forth, his eyes stayed on you and it was more nerve wracking than any thing. it was as if he was studying you and creating a sketch in his mind, and there's nothing more scary than finding out what you look like from his eyes.

"sorry, uh, if you're tired already."

rin was looking at you already, but he wasn't, you realized, when he finally looked right at you this time. if not your eyes, then what was he looking at?

for you, as an artist, (not sure you'd want to call yourself that because it takes you a few months to come back to your sketchbook after each drawing) the eyes are the most important. they're your favorite part to start with because they somehow guide you to draw the rest of the face. (even if it might not be the valid first step according to some art teachers.)

so for some reason you didn't really understand what rin was looking at other than your eyes.

speaking of eyes, his were really pretty.

you don't need him to know that, and you also don't need him to know that you spent more time than usual to sketch out his pretty eyes.

"no, i'm not tired." he said, almost finding his voice unfamiliar because of how long it had been since either of you spoke.

there was no special lighting except the warm, orange hues of the sun coming from the window of your bedroom and rin was in his usual clothes: a hoodie and sweats, because there was no reason to dress up. he lived next door anyway, so if there was a plan to go out and eat street food he'd just change into some jeans. your favorite watermelon slice pillow looking smaller than usual trapped between his arms as he used them for support to avoid slouching.

you sat a few feet away from the bed where he was, partially because you didn't believe you had the guts to stay so close while you studying his features. some artist part of you and some part of you that has fallen for the boy next door thinks its too intimate.

rin gulped. was it him or were the strands of your hair looking a warmer shade because of the sunlight? and your skin was glowing. you just did that thing you always do when you're focused, just like you were a few weeks ago when he had asked you to choose which pictures he should post on his instagram that was gaining followers left and right after blue lock.

how much longer?

he might just end up saying the things he's thinking if he looks at you any longer. saying that you're driving him crazy.

"alright, just a little detailing left. im sorry." you mumbled, now squinting so you could see better the minute details that you started adding, like his lashes.

"stop apologizing," rin said calmly. "i know it takes time."

you quietly nibbled on the inside of your cheek, feeling your fingers go slightly numb and hesitantly tossing your pencil on the study table nearby. "done."

rin moved. he moved closer.

he sat on the edge of the bed now, right in front of you. you felt your back ache from how you sat in the most uncomfortable position in your chair. he looked at you expectantly, holding his hand out.

this is the first time you've drawn after months. this is the first time you've drawn your best friend.

the reality of it all is just sinking into you and the burning sensation under your skin grew. you asked him if you could draw him and now that it's done you don't want to show it to him because it's a little embarrassing that you'd never put this much your heart and soul into a drawing before.

with a soft exhale, you gave the sketchbook and cracked your knuckles to relieve the pent up pressure. rin scanned the drawing from top to bottom, those pretty eyes stopping for a second at some point of the image. you licked your dry lips, hoping you didn't accidentally fuck up his features in a hurry.

he set the sketchbook down and your back straightened against the wood of your chair.

"i like it," he nodded once, blinking a few times to use the same eyes that he saw just now on paper, the prettier version.

"im glad," you smiled, anxiety defusing slowly. "it's been a long time since i drew. you're pretty easy to draw. wait, not in that way-"

"i love it." he admitted.

"oh, okay." you smiled wider, and while you thought of something more to say, rin beat you to it.

"i wanna draw you too." he mumbled, leaning in so, so slightly. "teach me, so i can draw you. i don't think i'll be able to make you look as pretty as you look in real life, because i'm not even close to decent at drawing."

your mouth opened and closed like a fish. you weren't even sure you blinked for the next five seconds- and oh, since when were you leaning in too? this was the most rin had talked in one go.

"are you.. calling me pretty?"

he took his time to answer that. gosh, you were too close. maybe you would've been able to draw his eyes even better if he was this close before.

"...yes."

rin's hand hovered just below your chin. he was hesitating. he wondered if his face looked as hot as it felt. he wondered if you were going to back off. you didn't. he gulped once more. "can i kiss you?"

it was too late. words had already died in your throat and you were surprised you even had it in you to nod repeatedly, slowly.

kissing rin itoshi while the sun had almost disappeared. what a story.

his lips were softer than you had imagined. and he seemed just as lost as you were, but even he didn't care. because he was kissing you.

his thumb and index holding your chin and your hand coming up to disappear into his dark locks, slightly pushing him closer so you could feel it more.

rin was almost on the edge of the bed and he was going to fall if he tried to get any closer. so he pulled away and guided you to sit on the bed beside him. his hands stayed glued to your waist as it all continued with fervor until you ended up lying on the bed staring at the ceiling that was covered in the green glow in the dark stars with your chests heaving and lips yearning for more. he remembered helping you put them up after school a few years ago.

your sketchbook laid right between you both.

your intertwined fingers didn't let go until it was dark outside your window and you guys heard your mom announcing that she had home from work.

rin only had a few favorite days to look back to. that day was one of them.

Hi! Of course! I'm not a professional MUA, I only do makeup on myself, so I'm not the most experienced person, but I'll share what I know in case it's useful.

Sorry I took some time to answer your message, you got some very good questions and I thought about recording videos showing how to do some of the tips I’m talking about to then show you, but I ended up not finding time for that until now, so maybe in the future... But for now, I tried to cover everything in here, so I’m sorry for the gigantic answer. 😅

1. Shaky hands

Here are some things that I do that help me when making precise lines/shapes:

A) Support: I do my makeup on a table, not standing. And when I’m doing eyeliner, to help my hands shake less, I wether support my elbow on the table or I support the side of my hand, or my pinkie finger, on my cheeks.

B) Mirror: I use a table mirror because you don’t need to hold them, like hand mirrors, and you can easily move them, so I can place the mirror in whatever angle or distance I need. The mirror I use have a fix height tho, so to adjust its height I improvise by putting some boxes underneath. There are some more fancy mirrors that are a lot better, mirrors that move to any angle or height and ones that have light on them, but they are more expensive, so I stick with the most basic ones.

C) Visibility: I use a ring light in front of my table while doing my makeup, and the mirror I got is normal in one side and has a 2x zoom on the other side, I also got a smaller one that has a zoom of 5x. I don’t know the proper name of those kinds of mirrors, so I call them “zoom mirrors" and they are great to help you see what you’re doing more closely.

D) Breathing: I also hold my breath while drawing lines on my face and stop drawing everytime I need to breathe.

E) Product: the best types of products for eyeliner:

Powder/pressed eyeshadow: the easiest product for doing eyeliner, in my opinion, is eyeshadow because you can do looks like this one that don’t need to be super sharp and you can always use the tape technique to get the wing straight;

Gel eyeliner: most people say this is the easiest to apply, however some gel eyeliners don’t dry completely and can easily ruin your makeup, so you’ll need to research for a good one before buying;

Liquid eyeliner: it’s the hardest but the most waterproof and “transfer proof” (some gel eyeliners are also waterproof, though) because they dry faster. But the biggest secret lies on the brushes...

F) Brush: the easiest brushes to do eyeliner with are small angled ones or small flat ones, because they are easier to make straight lines with. They are great for doing eyeliner using eyeshadow or gel liner, but I never tried with liquid liner so I don’t know how well this would work to be able to inform you, sorry. 😬

G) Calm: precision requires calm and patience, so eyeliner is definitely not something you should do when you’re running late, specially if you don’t have a lot of practice yet. You have to be slow and careful until you get more confident with it, so take your time. And try not to get nervous afraid of making mistakes because you can always fix anything, just remove the part that’s messed up, reapply the foundation or concealer (if you’re using any) and try again.

H) Practice: and, of course, practice consistently. The more you try the easier it gets. I don’t have super firm hands, but I paint since I was a kid so I already know how to deal with the amount of “shakiness” of my hands (Idk if this word exists in english, but I hope it does 😅). But doing straight lines on a face is different than doing it on paper because papers are plane, faces aren’t. So the best way of learning makeup is by practicing and adapting to yourself, you need to experiment to find the products, brushes and techquines that work best for you. But yes, in this process we can spend a lot of money, so I’m gonna share a few things I do for saving money with makeup...

Things I do because I’m poor 😬: I bought myself a while ago an eyeshadow palette that has a decent variety of colors, and I use the shadows for my eyes, of course, but I also use a dark brown eyeshadow to fill my brows, a medium tone brown to contour my face, warmer browns as bronzer, pink eyeshadows as blush, and if that palette had a light shimmery shade I would use it as a highligher too. So with only one eyeshadow palette that contains some pinks and browns you can already do a lot. And I don’t use concealer, I only use an affordable medium coverage foundation that already covers my dark circles quite well (you could also do the opposite and use only concealer).

2. Brands:

I haven’t tried enough brands and also most of the brands I use are only available in my country, so if you don’t live in Brazil you probably won’t have easy access to them. But I don't think that brands actually matters, because the same brand can have both good and bad products… So I usually look for some reviews on Youtube before buying any product, specially expensive ones. But, for begginers, I think is more important to pay attention to the texture of the products: powder, creamy, liquid, gel… Powder products are usually the easiest to blend. So between creamy highlighter and powder highlighter or creamy contour and powder contour, I prefer the powder ones (like I said, I use my eyeshadows for almost everything 😅). Brushes are important too: brushes with soft hairs are good for blending and brushes with firm hairs are good for precise lines. Here is a guide from Pinterest on what each brush shape is good for.

3. Lipstick and Foundation shades:

This is a very hard one, you really have to swatch some shades to use them as reference. And you'll probably never find the perfect shade, only shades that are good enough… Kkk

A) Foundation: Some makeup stores offer swatches of the products for you to try on yourself before buying, and some brands sell swatches online (a mini version of their products), so you can buy a few to try on before buying the bigger size product. But when I'm indecided between two foundation shades, I prefer to get the lightest one because then I can apply countour or bronzer around my face to look less pale. With a darker foundation, you can apply a lighter loose powder on top to make it less dark, but I personally prefer the bronzer option.

B) Lipstick: for lipstick I would recommend you to start with browns, reds and warm pinks (preferably not so bright) because these are shades that usually look good on everyone. Here are some examples from Pinterest: Image 1, Image 2, Image 3.

4. Is foundation necessary?

Makeup is not math so there's no right or wrong (just don't wear things that give you allergy, of course 😅), you can do it however you prefer and nobody can tell you otherwise. It's your face, your style… And I've already seen a few girls on Instagram do stunning both basic and glam makeup looks with no foundation on. I personally like to wear heavy foundation bc I like my makeup to look less natural and more like a porcelain doll, but it's just my personal style preference. In my opinion, there are no rules in fashion and makeup, we make our own styles for ourselves.

6. Confidence to wear makeup

Now that's a question I can't help you a lot with bc I'm quite insecure with that too, kkk But I used to be more insecure, I couldn't even wear just a lipstick outside of my house and now I can wear basic makeup looks… but not creative ones. I wish I was brave enough to wear my most creative looks to go out, but I'm still not. 😅 I'm a very introverted person so I try not to call much attention bc if someone likes my makeup and comes talk to me about it I'll get extremelly nervous, so I like to be invisible, kkk. But what usually makes me feel more comfortable wearing makeup is to know that there are other people in the place where I am that are wearing makeup too. But specially going out with friends that are also wearing makeup. This way at least I don't feel alone, kkk. That’s how I do it.

But always remember that you're not harming anyone with your makeup, you're not commiting a crime and your personality is not defined by whatever stereotypes people have about people who wear makeup. So if somebody gets bothered with your makeup (unless you've litteraly written insults to other people on your face or something, kkk) they are overexaggerating, and this is their problem to fix, not yours. Other people don’t have to like your style, what matters is that you are feeling cool in what you’re wearing and nobody is being forced to look at you, so there’s nothing to feel bad about. And I know this is easier said than done, but let’s repeat it to ourselves until it we learn it. 😅

THANK YOU because, ok, there are multiple reasons I'm kind of overly pissed lol. For one, personal opinions aside, it's like critiquing the main core of the idea? It's like, idk, going to a Glass Animals concert and saying "it would have been better without the stoner music" like girl thats the point? Am i phrasing this correctly 🤦‍♀️ its like someone asking how you like their job grooming a dog and you say "oh it would just be better if it wasnt a dog" and adding nothing else

Second, like, this is my first attempt doing a full look all on my own so im already nervous but also all the time and effort? I'm talking cleanser, toner, primer, eyeshadow primer, tinted moisturizer (found one that has like natural medium coverage in my exact shade and I feel like it might be good for my skin vs a foundation? Also just general testing what works for my oily skin), eyeshadow, mascara, a little eyebrow pencil wing for flavor lol, tried and failed at some contour and will have to try that again lol, and the main piece for me at least, the dark lipstick which is transfer proof by the way!! Which is a big win for me because lip products that come off your lips when you do anything are so temporary and just feel, weird? I had to scrub with micelluar water to get this off! (I think it's called Maybelline super stay matte ink lipstick. You have to wait for it to dry but goddamn I literally drank water and hit a bong after putting it on and it stayed soooo well, virtually nothing came off)

But yeah! It's. I think I've mentioned it before but a big part of this is like, I feel like I'm actually legitimately going through a combination quarter life crisis but also a maybe more positive significant shift in how I live my life idk? For the longest time i felt too ugly and heavy and gross and just subhuman to wear makeup and now that I've gotten older and more I guess life experienced and have lost weight I've started getting into it and it's been fun! It's like art you know, and it can be entertaining to find a makeup artists or influencer you like (I like Robert Walsh and his brother James, they're twins, a pro MUA and a dermatologist respectively). They also go from funny to educational so it's just idk, fun to scroll through the sheer mass of content. Also it's kind of just like art and painting when you think about it!

And like I did talk to her and she said I kind of misinterpreted what she said but it's still like, girl, please just lie and say it looks good next time. Like she thought I looked really good but she kept saying "the lipstick is just darker than I was expecting", which, yeah I could have gone more dark red, but I kinda just wanted to try something really dark but not black? I like the look and, ha, my male friend who's approval I've been a little gaga for said it looked good too so ❤️

I hope to make more looks in the future because it was fun, collect all sorts of nice pictures of different colors and styles. This whole deal today that I even put makeup on for was literally just to run errands, like get food and go to a smoke shop, because I don't get out much, but that's also part of the journey is that I hope to get out more and do more activities and wearing makeup during so will be a fun social thing you know? I'm being kind of wordy but you probably get it.

Also! I was inspired by like, this sort of color theory aesthetic video/clip I was seeing where they were showing "dark femininity vs light femininity" so it's like, pronounced brows, sharp/bold/dakr lipstick, bronzer contour, dark or smoky eyes, versus pink blush, lighter colors, glitters and shimmers, highlighted cheeks, you know? So my mom was kind of expecting light femininity when I was doing dark femininity. So her "main complaint" is actually for a look I want to do next 😅 but hey thanks for the support, this is actually so like, fascinating but complicated and nervewracking and also so much is subjective and I'm so unused to seeing myself like this that even though, realistically I looked good, I felt like a painted clown and like, a poser? A loser, idk. But the journey continues on :)

I have to say not only did the Uxie theory made me want to tell you, the art too but then i saw the Melli makes Ingo cry accidentally scenario and i just had to.

I don't usually ship neither of the Subway Masters with anyone but i do have a soft spot for stand offish arrogant characters having to take off the layers to show off their true feelings even if made vulnerable by characters like Ingo who are super polite but dont take any of their bait.

That's Melli and Ingo here, unintentionally Melli has to drop the act and care for others and that little scenario you drew pictured perfectly their potential as characters who push each other to be better.

Ooof this is a lot, sorry, i swear this is not ship propaganda, i just find their potential dinamic interesting and you happened to nail what I've been craving to see for a while.

Thank you very very much that means a lot to me!!! I honestly have no real answer on how I draw the way that I do, my best answer is I just draw everyday, even if its for a few minutes. Practice may not always mean perfect but it for certian allows you to always improve! Also for my clean lines I draw very lightly until I'm positive I want that line, and to keep it clean I use an eraser pencil, specifically a Faber-Castell eraser pencil, its perfect for how small I draw and to clean up the finer details. I am in no way a true professional, art is just fun for me and a good outlet and hobby XD

Lol that Melli and Ingo comic was purely accidental, I was filling up space for the page and then whoops angst. Just drawing that first smile made me think "What if that clicked in Ingos mind?" And bam!

I've seen the ship pass by in my scrolling and I may not ship too many folks myself, but I do like to entertain the ideas that come up (some ships are HARD no's because age gaps and other unsavory reasons). Melli and Ingo are a fun one to think about when the personalities click the right way, all depends on the writer and the reader too! I see them as begrudging fellow wardens that just see each other everyday but are chill, even if ones a bit full of himself, it's always good to have someone around on a mountain even if he owns a fart squirrel XD

Its a lot harder to do with traditional art but I'd love to see progress shots of your colored pencil stuff its so neat

I wanted to wait until I had progress shots to show before answering this and I took some as soon as I was starting a new colored pencil illustration, which was the Pepto Bismol one I just posted. Gonna put a keep reading cut here bc this’ll probably be a bit of a long post lol. 

I don’t have any kind of strict process I always follow, I just do whatever works best for each specific drawing, so I kind of just took a pic whenever I finished anything that felt like it could be it’s own “step.” Also keep in mind I worked on this during different days, different times of day, and different locations, so the lighting will be pretty different throughout the pics here which will affect how the colors look and the overall quality of the photos, I did the best I could with the changing lighting.

First step is the graphite sketch. Since I’m focusing on the colored pencil part of the process I didn’t document the process of sketching, just the final outcome

I go over the sketch with a colored pencil, I usually use a lighter color so that the lines you’ll see in the next step are lighter and not going to be noticeable when the drawing is all done, and I’ll go with a color that would be found in the illustration so that it doesn’t look unnatural wherever it may show through (I chose pink because, Pepto Bismol)

then I go over the whole thing with an eraser, only the graphite erases completely while the colored pencil stays, even though it dulls a bit. This is so I can still have a sort of outline to color in without having to worry about graphite mixing with the lighter color pencil colors and muddying everything up (it also just cleans up the sketch a lot which makes everything easier to work with)

then I start putting some of the colors down while also adding some basic detail that I’ll color and shade along later. I also go over the lines again just to make sure everything is shaped correctly, but I’m using the base colors of whatever the object is because I don’t actually want things to have outlines later on

I’m kind of mapping out the colors now as well as shadows

(also I finally found a use for this super bright neon pink colored pencil I have lol)

I’m basically just continuously layering on more color and detail, making sure to go light to dark. I mostly work on everything evenly rather than meticulously finishing one area after another but I was a bit more meticulous with the pepto bismol tablets just because they were the most detailed part of the illustration

I pretty much color the borzoi last because it’s the one white thing in this image and I want it to sort of “reflect” all the colors that will be around it and you can see I’m still adding new colors to the background as I go along

adding some green, Im basically trying to get a black without using black by layering opposing (is that the right word?) colors over each other, it makes it so that the black still looks like a natural part of the image because it’s made up of the colors in it, and it gradients toward the foreground better. I’m also doing the same for the nose and lips of the borzoi

finally putting some more color down on the borzoi, both giving it a base color and making the shading more defined

added the pepto splash before I layer any more color on the background. Also in just about every step here I’m continuously touching up the pepto bismol tablets, maybe a bit too obsessively

adding more colors from the background to the borzoi as well as shading it some more

adding more green (and some dark blue) to the background and floor to darken it some more, and again to the borzoi

I blend some of the lighter areas with orange-yellow, dunno if this is a real technique I just like the kind of glow effect it has and I do it a lot in my drawings (basically layering light colors over dark ones and sort of pressing harder with the strokes to blend/smooth everything together while giving it an almost glowing undertone of that light color)

still layering colors to darken everything up

Only at the very end I use a white colored pencil, I haven’t used it at all so far. I give the borzoi it’s fur texture + its whiskers, basically using the same method as earlier when I blended the yellow into darker colors by pressing harder with the strokes, here the strokes are just fur-shaped. I also add some highlights to the metal bowls, the splash of pepto bismol, and the nose and mouth of the borzoi with white colored pencil and a tiiiiny bit of white gel pen (a really tiny bit, basically a few little dots here and there)

oh and I added the “Pepto Bismol” writing to the pepto bismol tablets (or as close to writing as I could get)

also at some point in this step a mysterious black line appeared on the drawing that I couldn’t get rid of :( but its ok I just removed it in photoshop later lol

then I just take as good a pic as I can and touch it up in photoshop, this is for getting rid of flaws like that weird black line as well as to make the photo resemble what the drawing looks like irl as closely as possible, I’ll usually have the drawing next to me so I can reference it while editing the photo to make sure it looks like the real thing. 

also in this step I usually crop the image both to hide the messy edges and to give it a better composition.

you can see how different all these pics look from each other (in terms of lighting and quality) let alone from the final piece, which is why the editing step is important lol

i’ll be using this piece as an example, and uh, for the context of it u might have to look on twitter lol. but whatever

it’ll be a bit long so everything is under the cut

(this is just based on my process, and i know its weird and csp specific.

feel free to pick and choose pieces from my process!)

and also the programs i used were procreate and csp and i have a mac. u could probably do this with other set ups, but this tutorial might not be super helpful near the end

i usually make my lineart in procreate and import it into csp as a .psd file

for this, in procreate, select the file you want to export and click PSD and then I airdrop it to my mac.

i think the only thing about the lineart i have tips on is to keep it toothy/gritty if that makes sense?

i use the 6B pencil in procreate with a bunch of tweaks to the pressure sensitivity and opacity/size change.

but anything with a good size jitter should do the job!

in csp i shade and color the piece.

picking out the colors is a whole other mess

feel free to ask about it but ill skip for now ;v;

flat colors

csp has a lot of nice halftone options!

group up ur lineart and everything thats black rn in a folder and above them set a clipping layer to add

fill it with a color lighter than black; the less pure blacks and white u have on a piece the better

feel free to go to town w the grunge or noise texture of ur choosing! the grittier the better bc during this step i try to get the feel of worn off ink. just make sure the linearts still visible, though. u went through all the trouble to make it after all! ^^

(i have specific brushes but again thats something else u can ask me about)

above all the layers, make a multiply layer and do something similar.

same advice as above

this is ur “paper” texture, tho, so try to keep it more even in tone so things don’t get too messy

(but if it works for u, feel free to do it! find what works is my advice!)

ok time for some super csp-specific steps (sorry to non-csp users)

the csp asset store/website(?) has a lot of nice textures and brushes available.

look through it if u haven't

it will make ur life so much easier

theres a really nice tileable watercolor texture set there

(this one specifically)

(it also had some really good paper texture bc whoever made this is a godsend)

i slap that over the color layer, set it to clipping, and mess with the blending modes

its usually a tossup between soft light, overlay, multiply, and the overlay texture effect tho

theres another optional step of using the overlay texture effect on a paper texture

i didn’t do it on this example sorry :’(

i think i used another watercolor texture set to soft light on this piece?

after that, if u want, i like setting a noise texture at a v low opacity over everything for extra jitter

(i use this one. u can just make it in csp and probably any other drawing software but im lazy lmao)

save it as a png/jpg/etc.

and ur done!

i do some extra stuff to the final image like scale everything down and add a bit of a 3D effect for a bit of extra kick

(but again thats a bit complex and specific so feel free to ask but ill keep it short

for your sanity’s sake)

(and once again, the final image! ta-da!)

some tips to keep in mind i guess

jitter, grit and noise textures are very good things when u want something to look rough

avoid pure blacks and whites; most paper isn’t printed pure black or white and it only gets more faded and colored with time

if ur super lost, look at reference!! theres a lot of good artists and media out there to get inspiration from, and looking at scans of actual old comics is a nice way to see if ur work looks aged

(also u don’t have to use old comics as reference; i like looking at old vcr footage for reference bc of the texture!! :D)

5 - favorite little detail in a drawing you did

this one !! i literally just. cant decide because i tend to put a lot of like. small and usually not that easy to notice details in my art pieces or even sketches lol but i think that. my most favorite detail to add are facial markings like the three streaks across one cheek or the other, three dots under the eyes, following a decreasing pattern and a sort of string/line that follows across the cheek bone area !

6 - longest a drawing has taken to finish

hhhghgh so yeah, this is tricky because i would definitely say like. two to three weeks- but we both know that half of this time is just procrastination lmao so to be honest, the longer i take to finish something in one sitting is probably like. five to eight hours maybe ?? im really not sure though lol sorry :")

but i think that, as i dont really use much of traditional tools to draw, what i usually stick to when i do draw traditionally is my graffiti pencils and watercolor pencils ! im not that into any other tools like markers or actual watercolors, so i just stick to the basics haha

i think the detailing i put into my lineart and expressiveness regarding body and general anatomical depictions is very nice ngl :-) like. im pretty terrible at coloring and shading so i can at least rely on my knowledge over how to make some actually good lines snxjshxs

25 - best advice youve received this year or something new you learned about art

im. not really sure about either of these, as my memory is literally the worst when trying to record things such as this, but something i recently developed and therefore learned about this year was definitely some cool methods regarding on how to draw bodies !!

usually, when drawing the torso we tend to fall flat on the triangle aspect, but adding a bunch of additional layers to the process of detailing each individual parts of it (not considering them to be one thing alone) and paying more attention to how they fit in with the body's bone structure has really helped me figure out my way through drawing accurate body types ! (and thats also why i always recommend for ppl to pratice on drawing parts of a body's bones to understand better its anatomy haha)

Hi Allie! I wondered if I could ask you for some advice. I want to draw really badly and create art but I really don't have any skill! I know that in order to get better at art I have to actually do it, but I feel so overwhelmed by how I'm not where I want to be with it right away, and also with where to start with learning to draw. Do you ever feel that way when you draw? And if you do how have you gotten past it?

[I am literally so sorry this is so long oh my God. My mind has been very jumbled lately so I accidentally rambled too much, but I hope it still helps you in any way orz] Oh sweet little anon.. ;^; I do feel that way, a lot of the time if not all of the time! Just recently this week, I felt like I just couldn't draw despite picking up my pencil and scribbling, it just wasn't working partly for that exact reason! Overwhelmed by not being where I want to be with it! These things happen and its frustrating. It's hard for me to imagine as a beginner artist because I've been drawing since I can remember but I will still do my best to offer you some meaningful advice!

But first, to answer your very last question, getting past it can be a little random sometimes. This whole week after being unable to draw, I was laying in bed trying to sleep while reflecting on some heavy feelings ive been having and memories. Suddenly part of an image flashed in my mind and I got up to immediately try drawing it. (The drawing I recently posted and captioned "parade"!) I worked on it completely driven by my heart, and so it didn't matter at the time if it looked good or was anatomically correct, etc. Right now I am working on another heart-driven drawing, but if I tried to work on lets say a study or character drawing instead.. I dont think i could!

My point in all this is that, I think that its important to know/understand why you want to create art, and I think my advice would change slightly depending on your answer. For me personally, I am an emotional artist. I create art that (usually) reflects how I'm feeling or topics I am emotionally drawn to. Illustrations, drawing characters, writing comics, etc.. I think this week, while I'm definitely struggling with my skill level, I was so burdened by some things I've been feeling lately that I couldn't focus on or enjoy anything that I was trying to create, until I was able to release it all in a drawing. (And I'm still not done with them hence why I am now working on another related drawing, but im making SOMETHING and feeling passionate which cannot be said with any of my other attempts this week.) So since these drawings purpose outweigh my current issues regarding my skill, I am able to work on them. If that makes sense?

Okay im sorry with how long-winded this all is so far and all about myself orz but I wanted to give context on how I view art and I think if you asked someone who creates like. Hyperrealistic drawings their answers would be completely different. So! I wanted you to be able to judge if my advice would work for you if that makes any sense at all...!!! Moving on to my actual advice then..!

This is a little general ofc because I dont know what sort of art you are creating, or what your passion behind it is. And if after this you would like to tell me more about your art I would love to hear! 🥺💗 you are welcome to dm me or if you send another anon/ask i think that would be good too since.. well other artists who see can also give their own advice too!

Okay. So anyways lol, first I want to tell you that your desire to create art makes you an artist, despite your skill level. And therefore, everything and anything that you make even now has value. Even if right now you're drawing wonky shaded spheres and cubes! I understand its frustrating when wanting to make something but you feel like your skill isn't "there" and how that can prevent you from making anything to begin with!! But I really want you to try and work through it! Ignore it, disregard it, give your worries about your skill the silent treatment!! And I know its near impossible to do but if its getting in the way of you actually creating well.. thats the worst! We can't have that. If you really want to draw, then you really NEED to draw, you know what I mean? You deserve to draw! The hardest part for like 80% of artists is working around their skill level. I promise you will get there, but for now, you can't let it get in your way. And I realize me saying "oh you feel like you're not good at drawing and its hindering you from doing it? Just do it" sounds like Chad advice but ;---; unfortunately its the reality that comes with being an artist. If you tell me more about what you like to/why you want draw then maybe we can find some alternate lines of thinking that will help you (for example "this tiger i drew looks like shit but drawing all of her stripes was therapeutic and made it worth it!" If lets say you draw as a stim, opposed to "this tiger im drawing looks so bad I can't even look at it anymore " dhsjhd I really hope that this all makes sense lol.)

Moving on, learning how to draw.. this also depends on what you enjoy drawing but my main piece of advice here is study from real life. I grew up drawing cartoons and anime, and now that I want to draw a little more realistically.. its so hard!! If you study real shapes/people/animals/etc it might be easier later on when you understand fundamentals to bend them if you decide to create stylized or surreal art. However if right now you like to draw stylized art, I would recommend to keep working on your personal style while studying from real life on the side simultaneously! Any way you look at it, understanding how shapes, lighting, colour, etc work in the real world will help you out even with the most obscure pieces. And since art is a learned skill yknow you need to build those brain..pathways..and such. Im not a scientist but you get what i mean. Studies are the equivalent to lifting weights! I would recommend the website quickposes (com) they have a library of images that they throw at you at random. The site can explain itself better than I can lmao, check it out!!!

As someone so prone to hyperfixate on something after reading some other person hyperfixate on that something, reading your blog is kinda painful. After reading about the prehistoric lads, I want to go do some isoetes research and bam, me too stupid for plonts

oh man this is a mood....through a series of convoluted events i got my hands on a raspberry pi 3 and finally got it working today so my immediate hyperfixation is playing with it, even though the way i see it my stigmaria project is way more important lol. hoping to get myself back on track tomorrow. right now i have 28 papers starred to read and take notes on, and if i can knock out 14 then that would be great, but if i could knock out 5 or 6, that would be just as good. not planning on reading all 400+ when many of them are just passing mentions, but getting the most relevant ones out of the way would be ideal. 

(can you believe how adult that plan sounds? i dont feel qualified to be writing plans like that. ive seen some people refer to this blog as a studyblr but i see actual studyblrs out there with like 500 perfectly color coded notes, and i cannot see it, because all my notes for classes are in one (1) huge spiral notebook in one shade of pencil with one subject running into the next with wild abandon, and im like. idk like....could you imagine)

also i refuse to believe anyone is ‘too stupid’ for plonts. a huge percentage of botany is terminology, and like any science another huge percentage is just learning how to think scientifically. botany is one of the most vocabulary-heavy sciences out there, and when i first started reading botany papers in high school i had no fucking idea what was happening and would just highlight everything i didnt know the definition of and google it so reading like, a 4 page paper would take like 2 hours, but goddamn if i didn’t learn a ton fumbling through it with absolutely no background whatsoever. having background in the biological sciences definitely helps immensely with researching this stuff on your own (that’s why school is a thing), but those classes to me are just as much about learning how to think as they are about the actual content. what i’m trying to say is that the way i see it, it takes practice, and regardless of how fluent you are, engaging in these things makes you a better scientist then you were previously. it’s building a skillset you can apply to a ton of other stuff, which is pretty cool.

how you meet

Cedric was excited to hear that there was going to be a professor coming in to teach them about the muggle arts during a spring festival that year. He’d loved sketching ever since he was a kid and this seemed like a great way to learn some new tips and meet some new people with his similar interests.

He enters the classroom to see many students sitting at desks with their supplies out in front of them and he spots a seat at the fron next to a girl with black hair and brown eyes.

Placing his sketchbook down, he turns to you.

“Hi, I’m Cedric, you’re here for the muggle art class right?” He questions, double checking the room number for the hundredth time.

“That’s right, I’m Diana by the way.” You smile, putting down your paint brush to shake hands with the hufflepuff.

The professor walks in and begins the demonstrations, explaining the history behind some famous art pieces and giving pointers to students new to the practice.

As Cedric does his best to mimic the work of the teacher, he finds his eyes flickering beside him at the cute gryffindor beside him. He can’t help but admire the concentration on your face as you paint and the way your tanned skin seemed to glow in the sunlight.

Soon enough he finds his pencil moving a different direction. Instead of sketching the teacher’s scene, his eyes instead were trained on your wavy hair, bright brown eyes and beautiful smile, letting his pencil roam on the paper until he was satisfied with how it looked.

“Mr. Diggory, could you show your art to the class?” The proffesor smiles, not realizing Cedric had changed his drawing halfway.

The hufflepuff begins to stutter out a ‘no’ as the teacher laughs and pulls him up by the arm.

“No need to be so modest, go on now.”

Cedric looks down to the sketch in his hand before looking back up at your unknowing eyes. He sighs, turning his paper around.

The teacher’s eyes widen and the class bursts into a fit of giggles as your face blossoms into a brilliant shade of pink, Cedric’s mirroring you own.

“Quiet down class!” The professor shouts again. “Your sketch is beautiful darling, now go sit back down.” She smiles apologetically before ushering the brunette back and returning to her lesson.

Cedric can feel your eyes on him, but he refuses to look, afraid of the judgement they’d hold or the disgust on your face.

“Hey, I-I like your sketch Cedric. Would you mind if I kept it?” You gently shake the boy’s shoulders and flash a small smile, pointing down at the portrait.

“O-Oh, of course Diana!” Cedric grins, scribbling his signature on the paper before sliding it over to you.

“I love it, although I think you may have exaggerated my beauty.” You smirk, looking back into Cedric’s grey eyes.

“Are you joking Diana? I don’t think it did your beauty justice.” Cedric replies, his smile growing wider.

“Oh hush Cedric.” You smirk, lightly rolling your eyes.

“No I don’t think I will.” He snaps back, watching your eyes light up and your cheeks blush again.

He loves making you blush with compliments, even just saying a casual “Hello beautiful.” Gets you all blushy and he adores it.

He eventually gets you out of your shell and learns your love for reading and music.

After that he spends many afternoons with you in the library, having you read aloud to him or listening to muggle music through your headphones

Because he’s taller than you he loves using your head as a chin rest when he hugs you.

“Cedric you’re only. couple inches taller than me.”

“All the better to hug you darling.”

To thank him for the sketch you paint a portrait for him and it now besides on the chair next to his bed

He likes writing cute notes and slipping them into your books

“Cedric why are there three sticky notes in my book?”

“I-I accidentally dropped your bookmark and I thought maybe that would make it up to you.”

He loves your sense of humour and he always finds himself clutching his stomach after you hang out because of how much he laughs.

sometimes he’ll get some gryffindors to bring you his sketches and it’s resulted in some very annoyed red head twins

“Here’s the sketch of the week from Diggory, Diana.”

“What’s got you in such a bad mood Freddie?”

“He took it back three times because he has to ‘make it perfect.’” the twin sighs with air quotations.

In Cedric fashion he asked you out by doodling a sketch of the two of you together and writing a little note in the corner.

You almost knocked George over when you bolted out the common room to find Cedric.

Cedric takes you to a little muggle village a little ways away from Hogwarts. The two of you hit a record shop for music, and art store for supplies and a cute bookstore with a café for some rest and cute pictures.

Cedric pulls you to the park in the town and pushes you on the swings like a little kid, enjoying the sound of your laugh in his ears.

while the two of you stop to catch your breath on a park bench, Cedric pulls you two his side and wraps an arm around you.

He looks down and the both of you can feel yourselves leaning in.

You pause for a moment while your lips are an inch away before finally closing the gap between you two.

Cedric tilts his head to deepen the kiss, but the sound of children’s laughter getting closer brings the two of you out of your trance and you begin making your way back to Hogwarts, stealing quick kisses all the way back.

i just know you just for a few days (because I was offline for months), and now you're one of my favourites blogs!! so, direct to the point,, i really like your style- could you show your tactics, what brushes do you use, what art program and how do you choose good colours? i'm sorry if that's too much, i am just very curious :))

aww thank you so much! i never showed anyone how i draw, so this might be sloppy, but bear with me

(I use Photoshop to draw. and I use a wacom tablet) 

sketch

ok so the first thing is sketching, obviously. for a lot of the drawings on this blog I don’t sketch because the objects are usually easy to draw and I don’t need a sketch.

line art

then there is the lineart. so I pretty much always use the pencil tool instead of the brush tool because it makes all the other steps (coloring, shading, etc.) MUCH easier. yes, it has some cons but that’s just what I like to use. usually for the little doodles for requests I make I use a size 4. if I’m drawing humans I’ll make the size bigger (6-10). I also mostly don’t use pen pressure but lately I started kinda using it. but the problem with the pencil tool’s pen pressure is that it looks like garbage. SO I invented a way to use pen pressure with it looking kinda descent. there are probably other ways to do it but I’m dumb.

(I would suggest doing this tactic on simple drawings, like the objects)

first of all draw using the softest brush, the size doesn't rly matter (dont use 600 lol) use the pen pressure of course

merge the layer with the drawing (the drawing must be black) with a completely white layer 

double tap the layer and slide the (first) little white triangle to the left until the drawing looks the way you want (the more it goes left, the thinner the lines will be)

next merge the layer with a completely blank layer (this is important)

press this little button and make ur brush big and draw black on the whole drawing. 

and you’re done :D you might need to a bit of fixing tho. (also I suggest to not use black for line art but I’ll talk about it more later)

basically it’s don’t use gray...   put a bit of blue in it. and don’t use eye strain-y colors (also I’m just saying this rn, there is no right or wrong way of coloring or drawing, this is just how i do it) also I use very dark purple/blue instead of black

also photoshop has this little warning when the color is really bright, so you can click on it to fix it but sometimes it’s not enough for me.

using a color palette on a character is also useful and reusing colors but sometimes I’m too lazy for that.

the filters i put on the drawing at the end also are really important to the drawing so you can skip to that if you want.

shading

pretty much put the shading the opposite of where the light source is coming.

 this is what i use for shading:

the colors aren’t consistent.

more shading/highlights/coloring/whatever 

after im done shading i make another layer between the color and shading layers. use the magic wand tool to pick one color from the drawing and go to the new layer, color pick the shading on the color you picked

(ps idfk how to spell its almost midnight shut up) and use the soft brush to ad a gradient under the shading with the color of the shadow 

and set the opacity to 40%

first of all don’t make the line art black, i use a dark blue/purple. it also depends on what colors I used for the drawing

then on another layer I ad color to the line art if it has the same colors on both sides of the line. (use the color of the shading of the color thats on both sides but darker and ya know play w/ it a little)

well at this point ur pretty much done but lets make the colors looks better!

put all the layers in group. copy that group. marge all the content of the newer group (the second group should be on top of the first one). click the merged layer and press ctrl + b

play with this how you would like.

press ok and then ctrl + u

I usually make the saturation lower and the lightness higher. and lower the opacity of the layer  

more filters!

Alright um wow! i actually kept up with this! if you don’t know i started drawing as a new years resolution lol and um wow! here i am doing a year end review! also like?? the fact i started out with a few random colored pencils i found in my basement, a single pencil, and a single sheet of paper?? and that’s all i used for 2 and a half months??? aND now im using a whole ass drawing tablet??? it’s kinda wild lol Also from this point forwards i post higher quality versions of the art & go into details about the art so um yeah, it’s a *very* long post to end the year on

January 2020 um yeah i had only started drawing like 4 days before this and wow it fucking shows lmao (also all of my first drawings are just straight up scenes from Ghost & Pals PVs because wow froggy your so creative only drawing the things you watch on youtube lmfao)

February 2020 Okay but like,, yeah yeah i get i only had a month of experience and all of my experience happened on a single piece of paper but like?? why is this one so fucking bad?? lmao like i remember even at the time of making it i hated it lmao. Also super cool note this was my first drawing i did in full color! i later decided that it looked weird having only a bit of the paper colored so i went back and colored the whole thing because dumbass froggy is a dumbass

March 2020 omg woah is that more drawings of ghost & pals oc’s in the exact same pose as in the PV?? that’s like, so creative bro Also the fact that i very clearly remember thinking that his head was *way* too small to be realistic but i felt like the older art where there heads are literally wider then there whole ass body was fine??? hewwo??? froggy?? you good? like i know your kinda stupid but heWWO???

April 2020 Okay okay okay heres where things start to get interesting 1. I found a sketchbook and was no longer limited to that single piece of paper 2. I started editing my photos so i could actually get the colors i wanted 3. I started my tumblr uwu! 4. and i actually?? don’t hate this?? like yeah it’s still not creative in the slightest but it’s not *bad* and i kinda like that shade of red :flushed: May 2020 yeah no your not getting a high quality version of this So basically this was the month when i started moving over to digital art using my phone and wow was that rough getting used to (but also it was so much easier for me to do with my set up lmao) June 2020 Yeah i like to pretend this one doesn’t exist lmfao This was the month where i first started taking like?? proper reference photos for my art and i was actually starting to be creative with it and come up with my own ideas,, just,, all of my art from this month looks *exactly* like the reference photos except worse to the point where im not sure if i can even call it art lmfao

July 2020 To say this month of my life was a shitshow wouldn’t even begin to cover it lmao so um yeah, i drew that! also?? if i remember correct my mother stole the little art supplies i had just cause and that’s why this one isn’t in color or anything lmao

August 2020 I feel like it was around this point that my digital art actually started being *somewhat* good but i still wasn’t *super* happy with it 

September 2020 This is literally the only thing i drew in september and it took all of like 10 mins lmao,  I remember feeling just kinda burnt out and like i had no ideas by this point cause as we have figured out im *very* well known for being creative

October 2020 By this point it had been 3 months since i had done a full traditional drawing so i remember being like ummm i really should do *something* but not really actually liking this art lmao

November 2020 Feeling like i had wasted like the whole year drawing wise and feeling like i was capable of doing so much more i decided to try and do a full drawing everyday for this whole month and yeah! i fucking did that lmao, i feel like this was this month was the first time i ever really like, *understood* shading and how to use color ig? i also feel like i really kinda found out what i *actually* wanted to make this month so that’s very cool December 2020 You guys are gonna have to wait until these posts go up in january to see this art in high quality sorry not sorry Can i just?? can i just say how fucking good it felt to be able to make whatever i wanted without having to rush to finish it before midnight every day? and i really did just make what i wanted to meaning that this month i made more edgy shit then normal and just aghhh feels good man aLSO ALSO i got a drawing tablet mid way through this month so um yeah, still getting used to that lol overall im like, really actually kinda proud of how far my art has come within a year and i really don’t have any plans to stop soon! and lastly thank you to everyone who has followed me! 1. What song automatically plays in your head when you look out the window on a long drive? 

i dont really have an answer for this. i think i just automatically think about any song ive been listening to recently or any song that has been stuck in my head. 

2.  Do you have some snacks nearby when you write?

well i live in a two story house so the kitchen is downstairs and im usually lazy busy so since i have a mini fridge upstairs i just usually get water to drink while im writing. its kinda hard to eat and write cuz i loose focus really easily so when i am writing i am writing! i am in the zone! but if i am a little hungry ill usually snack on candy like chocolate kinder joys i love them but they r so expensive or snack on chips but i get like salt on my fingers or i like cheetos so cheetos dust and that just gets everywhere and later my hands and keyboard kinda smell like fart. 3. What do you do to combat creative burnout?

so burnout happens to me a lot so to get inspiration i either read other stories or fanfics which gets my head gears turning or i admire a piece of art or photography or a song. whats so unique and satisfying with writing you can explore and go anywhere with it, hehehe erotic if you know what i mean lol jk there are no barriers with writing just your imagination. there is inspiration any where you go and id advise to never stop writing. even if its a few short sentences or paragraphs about anything even bird poop its still progression and your mind is working and your searching for words like its all good for you bby.  4. Do you use (or like to use) prompts? 

i do ill put the link here. im thinking of changing it though to do something different. 

5. What is your favorite place to write?

lol boring, i know but my room. my room is really bright in the mornings and comfortable and chill and i have a candle of the pandora ride in disney that smells like the ride so its all good and relaxing and super peaceful plus i have a picture of myself the age of like 9 on my desk idk why but it encourages me and makes me focus to make sure i never get that cringy again. 

6. What is a hobby or yous that you usually don’t talk about?

well i like working out HAHAHAHAHA jk that was a joke...get it...cuz i much rather be eatingokillstop. but i really like to draw which i have a art page you can see it if you click here pls look at my failed attempts to be hip and cool with the cool kids and being artsy fartsy. another hobby is i really like to do makeup and nail art, nail art is really tough guys no joke if you do it like you got wizard powers are something. maybe its bc my nails are shorter than pete davidson and ariana grande’s relationship, alright im trying to stop i swear!

7. Do you play an instrument? Which one?

no i wish though. i always wanted to learn to either play the piano or electric guitar cuz H.E.R looks so cool doing it. 

8. How do you feel about your handwriting?

it sucks dont even try me. my sister can barely read it like no wonder nobody wants to steal my signature heck they can’t even read it!

9. Can you tell us of a story that marked your development as a person? As a writer?

ok sit back guys, sniff a nice amount of crack and get ready for the most cringy moment of my life but also a time when i knew i was meant to be *inhale* a fanfic writer. 

so it was elementary school, i think 3rd grade and for my writing assignment we were given a prompt of idk what the heck tbh i think it was like be outside the box and im like ok imma nail this cuz im a weird child and yeah so i got my papers and pencil and i went TO TOWN on this paper. so i wrote two stories. one short story with a picture to go with it and one long story that yeah i buried years ago. so my first story was about a farmer was about that farming life. he had chickens and dairy. so i cant remember if the cheese was spoiled but doesnt matter. anywho these cheese and a chicken were alive like they could talk in the story and i gave them faces, yikes. but the whole story was the farmer was a b*tch and he was trying to eat the chicken and cheese so they hatched a plan to get away from the farmer. they did it successfully and they ran away. yay happy ending my teacher actually liked that one me too and my school mates were thinking what they heck is this girl on i made a story about how me and justin bieber made cookies for Christmas you know. so then my other story i was more proud of this one cuz it was a tone of paper, sorry trees, and this story was about how a female hippo (girl i was all about plus size and thicker girls and no body shaming) and an male ostrich were kidnapped from their own habitats and taken to become circus animals. failed version of Madagascar hey mine was before the circus movie OK THEY STOLE IT FROM MEEEEE. so they get taken and are treated to harsh punishment and the animals can talk and i think its in the point of view of the male ostrich guy thing. they are in the circus and they start to have this relationship happening. love starts blossoming its all good. im happy with this cuz i believed in love at age of 8. they find a way thru a kick butt scene of the animals escaping and the hippo and ostrich are so in love that they run away together and they have half hippo half ostrich babies and i think i named the species  hipstrich or like ostppo idk but i was so proud of this story and when my teacher read it she was worried about me lol i think she thought i might like mate these two animals like secretly idk but she was like it was ok and i was like what this is frickin William Shakespeare writing or like F. Scott Fitzgerald writing. nevertheless it taught me a lesson that nobody else needs to like what im writing the main point and only thing that matters is if your proud of it and you like it and i really did. i will remember that story forever and thats what made me want to be a writer. lol sorry that was a lot.

1. What is your favorite book?

fifty shades of grey hahaha naw my favorite book is obv you all know this is series of unfortunate events but i never usually cry period and i never cry for books ever so when i read mrs. tom thumb by melanie benjamin, its the part when her sister minnie dies i cried so hard idk it was just emotional the wording the way she described her pain it was so beautiful written yet so sad and that was just amazing to me cuz im like this book made me feel things and im like wow i would love to write a book one day and make someone feel something whether it be sadness anger happiness annoyance anything they are having an emotion and that is super powerful to do that with just words. pls go check out that book its a good read. also im a fan of the greatest showman so i really enjoyed it. there are many other books tho that i thoroughly enjoy so much. 

2. What piece that you’ve written are you most proud of?

oh my god ive always wanted to be asked this question hands down i am always proud of my platonic gender neutral tony stark fic called in·con·sol·a·ble window to me i wrote it so sad and i was feeling like depressed lol when i saw peter die in infinity war like i didnt know what to do with my life tbh but im so glad that @impetrichorny requested it tysm i just like how its not based on romance or fluff or happiness it is based on when you lose someone the nightmares and sadness you go through and that there is nothing nobody can do about it except just be there for that person so i really like writing angst and something that was out of the box. ive been thinking tho of doing a part two since the fate of all the characters has changed after endgame. who knows tho. 

3. What is the last song that inspired you? 

well for art it would have to good news by mac miller when i did that kobe bryant memorial on my art page. i dont want to give it away though but ill just say some very powerful womens music inspired my oc writing and making. 

4. How do you feel about letting people read what you write?

at first i was scared cuz i thought i wrote like trash which that feeling kinda doesnt go away like some days i feel that way others i feel confident or it depends on the request it just depends but anyways i was always insecure about my writing so when i started writing it was more like lets see how this goes if not ill delete the whole page. im glad to say it went great but in the begging it was hard cuz i kept putting myself down but i learned to accept or just understand that you keep learning with writing you always learn knew things with writing how you can explain something better or you words get more intricate and people see the improvement and you do too thats why i applaud those who dont speak english that english isnt their first language. you are doing a tremendous job and keep practicing cuz you’re gonna make it to the top. ive also learned that some days are not my days and you can take time off when youre not feeling it when you have writers block. just recollect your juices sip some tea go to the beach relax your mind a little and take as long as you need to come back and give it your all. also comments and reblogs and likes a follows those meant so much to me and encouraged me. thats why i cant express it enough how much all those mean to writers, artist, photographers, anybody who is truly trying their hard in this area of social media. its makes a person happy smile and confident in their writing but first train your mind into loving what you make not what others thing. you have to be happy with the outcome that is what truly matters and what makes your writing the best. look at me getting philosophical. 

5. Do you get distracted easily? If yes with what?

yes and with porn haha i get distracted easily like very easily homeschooling was really tough for me. music distracts me, netflix, the urge to watch david dobrik or unus annus or buzzfeed unsolved on youtube, heck my farts distract me. i gotta be like troy bolton i gotta get my HEAD IN THE GAME!
