He eventually gathers 7 of them, and promises them all a bright future or fame and fortune.

Every teenagers dream, right? But this comes at a cost... The kids are constantly overworked, exploited, used, and manipulated. However, no one else knows what's happening behind the scenes... yet.

Tribes of Europa (2021):

Hey, let’s talk about this amazing show??? (Spoiler Warning!!!)

1. Post-Apocalyptic world that is akin to the show Revolution wherein the power went out and just never came back on one day?

2. Amazing world building- the tribes are very distinct and the forms of government are unique- we have communes, we have military states and so on

3. The three main characters are all actually incredibly intelligent? Liv, Kiano and Elja are all ready to do what is needed to get things done? Yes!

4. The pure tragedy of the fact that Elja thinks that his entire family is dead and has no idea that they are alive and looking for him???

5. A Dude named Moses who loves to bring the comdey

6. This show doesn’t pretend to be nice and sweet- it’s a dark place where there is no law, just people out doing whatever they want. Politics within the tribes and the groups are delicate and difficult to manage and there are actual consequences to actions.

7. Excellent soundtrack, costume design is on point- locations are great- you can really feel the environment they are living in. 

8. the call backs for the kids looking up at the sky and wishing they were home again. Those moments keep breaking me tbh

9. Will someone please let Kiano get some goddamn rest? This kid has been through hell and back and he gets nothing but shit. Let my boy sleep please

10. I am loving the mystery of the Atlantis and the Cube!

i'm watching Tribes of Europa and it's obvious that i'm soft for Emilio (Kiano) because i know and love him, but i am fucking s o f t for David, i love him 🥺🥺🥺

Edit: now that i scrolled through this tag i fear that i am alone with my feelings for David, but maybe it's based purely on the fact that i'm German and i'm soft for Austrian accents

Okay but hear me out!

In season 2, Elja goes to the Ark, he meets this cute Atlantian dude, that's close to him in age, of course, they bond, they become boyfriends, and at some point in the season, they're fighting the crows.

The boyfriend gets captured, and the crows send a message to the Ark and they're like "bring me the cube and the boy will be spared muahahahaha" and in proper sci-fi protagonist fashion, Elja decides to go off on his own to save his man.

As he's planning how he's gonna go save bae, there are several scenes of Elja's boyfriend getting interrogated by Lord Varbitch, but he's not gonna sell out his boyfriend no matter how much pressure she puts on him.

And so the night that Elja sneaks into Brahtok, and as he is sneaking through a dark room to find where his man is, the lights turn on and DUN DUN DUN! There is Lord Viagra holding lover boy at knifepoint, and she's like "gimme the cube or your love dies". Elja pulls it out but just as he's about to hand it over, SIKE! He turns it into a gun and she shoots the bitch, he grabs his boyfriend by the wrist and they start running. At some point when they're almost out of Brahtok, Kiano tries to grab the boyfriend, but Elja pulls him off of Kiano's grasp, gets between him and Kiano and holds his blaster to Kiano as he tries to get as much distance between them and Kiano, who also has his gun drawn at Elja however he doesn't shoot but stands frozen is disbelief as he sees his brother is alive and well. Elja and his boyfriend then run off.

And somewhere as they're making their way back to the Ark. They make out in the forest.

i finally finished tribes of europa and that was actually really fucking good????

HOT TIP -> don’t watch the english dub. i usually don’t care between dub or sub, but the dub of TOE is definitely it’s downfall and changes the entire atmosphere of the show, in a bad way. okay anyways:

TOE was actually great. i think the beginning half of the first episode is the worst (i even almost exited out. it looked so wack) and then the rest of the episode is just okay. but from then on, things genuinely do pick up.

i love Liv. i love her persistence to do whatever it takes to rescue her family. the fact that after all this time she still refuses to assimilate and rep a flag is really cool imo. she has one goal and the only people she’s truly loyal to are her family. she doesn’t owe anyone else anything at all. i really like her. i did think her romance with that David guy was kinda dull tho.

i like Elja’s story. his relationship with Moses was fun to watch and i like that, like his sister, his loyalties are mainly focused on his family. unlike Liv tho, he’s not as cutthroat and will ofc help Moses out if he can, but if he sees that things aren’t leading him to avenge his family, then if need be he’ll go on his own path.

and Kiano’s story. my goodness that is all angst. all the siblings are traumatized but Kiano is def coming out of this the Most fucked up, if he’s not already. i liked his plotline tho, things were always always intense and the vibe of One Wrong Move And Youre Dead was definitely there.

i just!!! gosh the storytelling in this was amazing. i love how the siblings are all each on different sides - Liv is with another tribe, Elja isn’t with any tribe and is on the run, and Kiano is with the villains.

and the parallels! omg the parallels. it didn’t even hit me until like episode 5 that all their storylines were progressing parallel to each other. ep5 had a running theme of betrayal in all of them - Liv (temporarily) betrays David, Elja’s plan to betray Moses gets revealed, and then Dewiat betrays Kiano by ratting him and his dad out. after that point i started seeing so many other layers to the show that i absolutely plan to do a rewatch bc what else could i have missed??!?!!!

and the acting!! i feel like i’m losing my mind bc i’ve seen some ppl say the acting isn’t good. are we watching the same show????? the show where Kiano’s drenched in tears after having almost killed him self just to please Varvara? the show where Elja goes into an emotional rage after Moses’ lady friend says the cube can’t be fixed? the show where after Liv wakes up in the Crimson camp and her blatant-but-obviously-wanting-to-hide distress at being alone, and then the way her tone goes deadly serious once she tells David and co. that she’ll rescue her family herself?? that same show?!???!!?! the acting is probably the best thing about it!

all this is not to say i didn’t have gripes tho:

the soundtrack. idk what was up with whoever chose the music but they need to get it together. there were a few times where the music didn’t really fit the scene and kinda took me out of it.

the camera work. episode 1 i think is the worst offender of this but there were a lot of times when the camera work was just Not Good. either the characters were being shot from weird and unpleasant angles, or it was just off somehow. idk. but this fortunately gets better further into the show.

the worldbuilding. it’s hard to explain, it’s like it’s both good and not enough. like, can i easily understand everything? yes. if i were to see a random character dressed in their tribes’ usual clothes, would i be able to easily identify them? absolutely. but do i know how many days have actually passed since the Origine massacre? nope. do i remember how long it’s been since Black December and what year the protags live in now? nu uh. do i understand what wolk even is or why the Crows even started following Yvar in the first place?? nope! so like this is what i mean. the worldbuilding is enough for the plot to make sense and move forward, but it’s also not enough in feeling like an in-depth universe with lore and history and etc. etc.

all in all i really liked it!!!! i’m really hoping it gets a season 2 bc it definitely deserves it and there’s still so many cliffhangers (especially the ones at the end of Kiano and Elja’s stories) that this is gonna need many more seasons to come.

So i watched Tribes of Europa, and i honestly thought that it Wasnt gonna be good. But i was VERY WRONG. First of all, Kianos storyline? MAGNIFICENT!!! And i LOVE Moses and Eljas friendship. In the beginning i didnt like Liv because i thought she was gonna be like all the other girl main characters (annoying as fuck) but i actually really like her. I love that She just betrays everyone with zero fucks given, with her only purpose being to save her family. I really hope there will be a season 2 so that we get to see mor atlantics, they seem to be scandinavian so obviously i wanna see that. The only thing i am disapointed about is that both Moses and Elja are HEAVILY queercoded. Obviously i dont shop them for obvious reasons, but i really do hope that they actually make them queer. Moses is 100% bi and Elja is obviously gay. (Also Moses looks like a german version of Mads Mikkelsen LMAO)

Tribes of Europa, season 1 - thoughts

I finished season 1 of German post-apocalyptic Netflix drama Tribes of Europa a couple of days ago, and I have... lots of thoughts and mixed feelings.

It's a standard post-apocalyptic show with all the usual tropes, but mostly well done, and has potential. I ended up liking it better than I expected, mostly because one of the storylines (Kiano’s) turned out to be pretty good/interesting.

The main problem of the show is that most characters, so far, don't have a lot of depth. An exception is a female villain who has proven to be quite complex and interesting. On the other hand, while  I loved seeing Oliver Masucci, in a role completely different from Ulrich Nielsen, and he's great and charismatic, I feel like I've seen the exact same lovable rogue-turned-mentor character a dozen times in various shows and movies. The main trio of young protagonists have the potential for interesting character development, but it remains to be seen what saason 2 does with it.

At least there's one thing that makes the show different than most post-apocalyptic shows I'm aware of - I can't think of any others that take place on the European continent? Usually it's North America, Australia, or UK. So, that's interesting... But then, after I finished it, I started thinking a bit more about some of the elements of the worldbuilding, which are a bit... questionable? I'm reserving judgment till these things are explained.

Spoilers under the cut.

In the first episode, the show did the GoT thing of introducing us to a likable family and then having siblings separated by fate and trying to get back together, while having different storylines. But they should've spent a bit more time with them together and explaining their history.

The show also does that thing where the siblings look nothing like each other and are played by actors of different ethnic origins, so I was waiting to hear they were half-siblings or some other explanation, but there was none. Well, OK then.

One thing I wasn't crazy about is that Kiano had a girlfriend we saw for about 20 seconds and then she apparently got killed for no particular reason. I can't say it's even fridging, since he never even mentions her afterwards and he has a lot of other reasons to hate the Crows.

But Kiano's storyline turned out to be the most interesting , and most disturbing, the kind that can make or break the show, depending on how it deals with issues like slavery, rape, trauma. So far, the show has dealt with it well, which made me like the show more than I thought. (It definitely beats The 100 - a show it was the 100 in the Netflix promo campaign - in that respect. I was already scared it would do something similar to The 100, which really dropped the ball when it touched on such issues in a really clumsy way in season 3.)

Lord Varvara has turned out to be the most interesting and compelling character, and excellently played by Melika Foroutan. (I wish I could say the same about the Crows’ big boss, Yvar - but whether it is mostly due to the OTT costume and makeup or the similarly OTT acting, I had a hard time taking this guy seriously.) She is not exactly morally grey - she is definitely a villain, slaver rapist and murderer, but her role as a former slave - a victim of abuse turned abuser, and someone who upholds the ideas of Social Darwinism - makes her role very interesting and ambiguous. I think that (especially based on some hints) that she used to be a sex slave, too, and if she was also made to be a Crow by her former slave master, that would probably mean Yvar used to be her master. That could lead to some interesting tension and conflicts, as she probably hates this guy deep inside, but still has to vie for his approval, even now that she has “made it”.  And she sees to see something in Kiano that makes her think they are similar, that he is 'strong' like she thinks she is (on the other hand, she despised her other slave who had a huge Stockholm Syndrome for her).

I'm curious how they deal with Kiano's character development next season, and how far into moral greyness or darkness it will be willing to go with him. Varvara is a blueprint of what he could become.  He didn't exactly show much concern for the lives of other slaves, except his father.  

Liv's storyline was also pretty interesting. with her navigating the political issues of the Crimsons. I liked that the Crimsons as a whole turned out to be more morally grey than I initially expected - with their strict military discipline to the point of authorianism and lack of tolerance for dissent. 

I don't know if the show expected me to side with the general (aka "Father") or think his views were right, as Liv did? I did not.. "Let's make peace and unity with slavers"? No, dude. But I’ll go with the idea that we are not necessarily supposed to side with him rather than David just because Liv did; or that a third option may be found (such as causing a rebellion among the Crows themselves, which would be my preferred direction of that storyline). 

(I also rolled my eyes whenever he started going on about "old European dream" or whatever he called it. No, my dude, you need to brush up on your history. Your plan is nothing like the EU, unless your plan is to go and deliver a bunch of demands to the Crows:  "Unless you guys: abolish slavery; ensure human rights for everyone; install a viable non-slavery based economy etc.. - we're not letting you into our new unified Europe!" He also may needed to be reminded EU was formed after Axis powers were defeated.)

I've heard that a lot of people didn't like Elja's storyline because they found it the least interesting, and sure, it wasn't very emotional and didn't have much character development, but I'm very curious about the mystery of the Black December, the Atlantians etc. so I liked it.  And I liked the fact that Elja wasn't a naive kid and could deceive people and keep secrets when he needed to.

But there are certain problems I have with the show’s world-building... which, at its worse, may end up being just as problematic as The 100′s was.

While I like the idea of a post-apocalyptic show set in continental Europe, and with languages other than English - almost all of the characters are only speaking German or English (the latter, I guess, for the same reason it's widespread today - people speak it as a second language and use it to communicate). We should really see more people who speak other languages. So far, that’s only happened sporadically - but my problem is more with the fact that the most villainous tribe, Crows (murderous, slave-owning Eurotrash-like villains with very Social Darwinist views) -  even though they speak German or English 99% of the time - very notably use certain words from Slavic languages - and only for specific terms like "lubovnik" ('lover' - actually sex slave), "boi" (fight/battle), "svobodnik" (free man?). These were very recognizable. I have no idea what "Bozie" means, but I read somewhere it comes from Russian. What's supposed to be the backtory behind that? Sure, I am for more language diversity, but did a German show have to give the kind of barbaric-version-of-fascist villains these questionable Slavic references?  That would be uncomfortable in so many ways.... It's not just Slavs, because another notable Crow character, Grieta at some point used Romanian (and the actress is Romanian), but I hope they're not going with the Evil Barbaric Eastern Europeans here. To be fair, many Crows were clearly slaves at the beginning, which complicates things... but Varvara says her real name - slave name - was Sophia, which could be anything - while her Crow names is Varvara - which definitely sounds Russian or Bulgarian (or, I guess, it could be Greek).

On the other side, opposed to the Crows, we have the more “civilized” tribe/army of former Eurocorps, whose members have so far only been heard speaking English, German and, at one point, Dutch - curiously called Red Crimson Army (!), I have so many questions...

Another questionable thing, pointed by the host of the Culture Cave YouTube podcast, who did an overall favorable review of the show, howeverpointed out that the Crows - the villains - are the only ones who don't conform to gender roles? And the males who are the most 'effeminate' looking are baddies. I didn’t even think of that initially, but thinking about it... yes, it has been like that so far, hasn’t it?

I’m reserving judgment till next season, but I only used to give The 100 the benefit of doubt with its questionable world-building, and we know how that turned out.

Being members of the same tribe, you grew up pretty close

Maybe not that close, but you always knew well who Kiano is and had opinions on him

He would appear a bit arrogant to you, especially in the adolescence when you both were figuring out the hormones and all the changes

But you started to appreciate him with time

Especially when you realised how much he cares for his family, he might tease his siblings a lot but they always stay together

You actually started dating him after teasing him about it when you two were send for a hunt

‘Don’t think your presence means anything to me, Y/N, or that hunting together starts anything special between us’

'Too bad, that’s exactly what I was thinking’

‘Don’t mention things you don’t want to hear then!’

Being one on one with him, you realised he grew up to be attractive, and also pretty nice once you break the barrier

Initially ‘dating’ would be simply getting to know him better and seeing his true colors

When you’re send to hunt together you'd use it as a way to spend time just with him

So you can admire each other

With time Kiano would show you more and more affection

You’d use any opportunity to exchange small gestures like a bit of hands holding or kisses

You also learned how caring he truly is for people he loves

‘You’re safe with me, Y/N, I won’t let anything hurt you’

Through dating Kiano you also got closer to his siblings

It took them a moment to open up to you

But they know if you’re dear to their brother they can trust you as well

Liv likes to remind you that you should take care of him though, sometimes even teasing you about it

‘I like you, Y/N, but if you ever hurt him, remember that arrows can fly fast’

It might seem like she’s trying to intimidate you but you know she wouldn’t hurt you or anyone of the Origines

As one tribe you are basically family even without dating her brother and she knows family’s important

And she enjoys seeing you two just being happy together

I've started Tribes of Europe , even if it looks like a weird hunger games/ generic apocalyptic movie , mainly because i barely watch european science fiction. It's better than I expected.

The timeline is a bit weird , because it's been just a few decades after the collapse and everyone just goes bad to feudalism. Even the hippies with their geodesic domes.

It's interesting the way the history splits in three parts , Liv with the Crimson's , who look like the average good guys , Ella with the cubes and Kiano with the Crows.

Honestly of all the factions the Crows , with their mad max , berlin rave scene aesthetic look are the most interesting.

The main girl looks like off brand latinas everdeen , but at least in european fiction we are guaranteed some sexy times. Honestly american stupid ratings are terrible for this kind of thing.

Kiano is very hot , and i think he is going to suffer at Varvara's house. But he is going to destroy the Crows.

My favorite character is of course is Moses and not only because the actor playing him looks like mads mikkelsen, but because i love the aesthetics of a lonely thief , and he and amena made a good pair , even with all the shooting.

Well germans need to be weird , and the whole lady Varvara boys harem looks like it came from some weird german film.

I think it's good , and I'm only two chapters away from finishing it so I hope I doesn't get bad.

Yesterday my kid and I took a trip to TMII. first we visited the Transportation Museum, there were many modes of transportation stored, trains, buses, planes, ships and others. My son is very happy, he really likes buses, planes, trains. After leaving the museum, we continued exploring the TMII area, and before returning home we took the time to ride the mini train, then he was very happy enjoy the ride on the train. What a lovely sight, seeing children happy and laughing is priceless. I thank God for having all of this. The mother @dini did not come because she is at work, and our days off did not the same. It was nice to see my dad, I am happy he came, and I think even Reign was happy to see him “what we naming this bear baby, shall we name it? And I was thrown off by that, so I admitted to it and he said Shawn’ baby? I didn’t want to tell him that Shawn is still currently on the run because of this because I mean dad is frail as it is but I am happy for you both, another baby on top of my little Reign, she better get the attention still” I chuckled “trust me she will let me know, Reign will tell me and make sure I give her all the attention, I am sorry though. I didn’t mean to tell, you know” Nalah is only calm because of the fact I told her Robyn is pregnant also or she would have of want to kill me for telling “it’s ok, I mean now that I know why you was excited” thank god she is not angry with me.

Robyn seems to be still moody with me, I don’t know if it’s me or just in general “who are you ringing?” I asked, looking over at the sat-nav “my mom, I have not seen her all morning. Where the hell she gone, I don’t understand” letting out an oh, maybe she is stressing over her mother “I am sure she is ok, she may have had some work to attend too?” I can try and make Robyn feel better “she has been really upset since the whole Thomas thing Maurice” letting out an oh, we are travelling to east Los Angeles and honestly, I have never found myself here at all so this is going to be interesting “she is not picking up again, I will send her a text and I hope she does text me back, because I honestly want to know she is ok. I get she is hurt that is the same old Thomas that I said he was, but she can get better. I am trying my best to also get over it but that home really brings me all of the memories back of us” I wish nothing but shit for Thomas “I know” Robyn is not in the best of mood, I can tell but I do hope she gets better in regards to her mood. Thomas is a real asshole; I cannot believe he just attacked me the way he did for nothing too. I think if he didn’t do what he did, he may have actually slipped back, if he was genuine which he isn’t then I think he would be back in our lives. I think Terry expected Thomas to make it up to Robyn and to apologise but it didn’t work out, I think in her own way she did love Thomas even though he did bully her for not being able to become a mother to his child, which is sad.

I am really out of my comfort zone but I will keep my opinions to myself because Robyn is very sensitive towards this situation, I mean the area to me seems run down anyways but I think we are like a block away, looking back at the sat-nav “from one to ten how scared are you?” Robyn said, looking over at Robyn “uhm, I am not saying but you didn’t want Jay here so yeah” I sighed out “because then we are acting like something I am not Maurice, I don’t want that, I want to go in there none judgemental, you hear that?” nodding my head as I turned the corner “well if this car gets damaged, you are paying for it, the best car I have seen here is a Nissan” Robyn snorted laughing “I am surprised you know such a car in your vocabulary Maurice, if I think it’s not good then we going. I understand that my real dad has dealings but I want to be the judge of that” there is a few cars parked outside the home so I parked across the street “that is the home” I pointed, there is a whole gang of Latino’s outside that home “really?” Robyn said “yes, I am guessing that is your family” I said staring at them, they are repping their Latino heritage a lot with the flags out “you think they going to shoot me, oh they looking, looking Robyn” putting my window up “you’re supposed to protect me” looking over at Robyn “this your family, you help me. They looking at us” Robyn is laughing like any of this is funny, it can be serious as shit “you are such a pussy” Robyn giggled “I swear down” Robyn got out of the car “what has your mom got us into Reign” I said while turning the car engine off, opening the car door.

There is a lot of kids around, well they have started to come over to us, I mean they are more so looking at the car in awe “I will hold her” I said to Robyn “this is your time” Reign is asleep again, she is having her nap now “Mi Amor, it’s ok” placing Reign over my shoulder “it’s ok” she was about to cry “well you better lock your car door now” Robyn said grinning, she closed the car door and I locked it quickly “this your car?” one of the kids asked “yes it is” walking across the street towards the home, I walked ahead of Robyn of course. I will be the man in this and make sure things are ok but it’s a rough side, not going to lie. To me this is rough, the group of men that was full of chatter went slowly quiet as they realised we were walking towards them, opening the barbed wire gate “who is this?” one the guys said “ooohhh, Robyn” looking up and seeing Kiano, I think it is “it is” he rushed over to us “you came, oh my god. You actually came, oh my god” his genuine happiness made me smile and he came in for a hug straight away “I am sorry about the drink, you came!” he spat “it’s ok, I said I would come” Kiano moved back from the hug and stared at Robyn “oh god, wow. I am happy, you came. And hi Maurice, welcome to my family” shaking his hand “this the baby girl, awww. Ea pulchra est” Kiano said “thank you, we weren’t sure at all” the home is small, I mean average small home. The red steps leading up are covered in boys sat there waiting on the barbeque “come on, come. This” Kiano placed his arm around Robyn “this is family, this is-” before Kiano could finish someone spoke “Rell’ daughter” this man came over slowly towards them “I see that smile, you real. I am Lucas, Rell is my little brother. Mater said she met you, hello” he shook Robyn’ hand “this is her husband, Maurice. They have a baby bro, she is Rell’ granddaughter” he pointed at me “oh god, my brother really lives on. My Mater always said it, you family. Your smile is like his. Can I hug you?” he asked “uh sure, I don’t know why I am so emotional, sorry” Robyn said, this is cute to see now that I am acquainted with these people.

Walking inside the home behind Robyn, it’s smaller than I have been in. My bedroom is bigger “Mater, come! I have a surprise” Lucas shouted around the house “come to the living room, come” Kiano waved us over “this is my sister Floressa and this is Arabella” I noticed first off seeing the little shrine for Rell, the candles lit on each side of the framed picture with a cross necklace hanging from it. Staring at the framed pictured of him, I see Rell in Robyn a lot more then I assumed. He looked like an incredibly happy guy, the smile, they are so right. Snapping out of it because everyone seems to be in hysterics right now, looking around me. My poor Bonita is very emotional right now, she is crying along with his mother and the sisters “sit down friend” Kiano said, nodding my head as I sat down on the couch next to a random child that is sleeping “Vita nova ingressus domum suam, hoc donum Dei, et perdidi filium meum” Rell’ mother said “Robyn, my mom said that a new life entered this house, part of her soul left when he left. God gave her a gift” Kiano translated “thank you for coming” Daphne held Robyn’ hand taking her to the table I saw when I walked in “this is my baby, and this. This is chain I got him; he wanted a gold chain. I got it him and now I keep it here” this is highly emotional, not what I thought it would have been. Looking towards the door, there is a lot of family here “I didn’t believe Rell had a daughter, Kiano was saying it. he met you and he is right, oh wow. You have made us so happy” One of the sister’ said, I need to keep up with the names, there is too many people here.

This is like a meet and greet, I wish Reign was awake right now because she is none the wiser, I am just sat here watching. Robyn done met the whole neighbourhood, Daphne picked up this random child that was sleeping next to me “Robyn, sit down please” smiling at Daphne “are you ok?” I asked Robyn “yes, just thinking why I did my make-up, does it look really bad?” Robyn sat back looking at me “erm” reaching my hand over but Robyn grabbed my hand “no way, you will wipe it off” she laughed “never, I was just going wipe the bit of black on your cheek, looks like the thing you put on your eyelashes. That was it” Robyn squinted her eyes at me “be careful” Robyn’ eyes are so sore, she has been crying a lot “that is it, you look fine other then that” smiling at her “I closed the door, we can spend time. These are my kids, all four of them. Your aunties and uncles. Wesley is coming, he didn’t think you would come. But the family, they stay outside. Oh, they are so happy you are here though” Daphne sat down “oh, Reign. I remember, can I see” Daphne got up and made her over to me “sure, she is asleep still” Reign is just laid out on my lap “she is beautiful, oh god” Daphne lightly stroked her hand “I am sorry, so much happening. It’s good to see you again” Daphne apologised to me “oh it’s ok, it’s a lot” I chuckled.

Robyn touched my arm “mhmm” leaning over to her “they really got a shrine for him in this home, I didn’t expect it. After all these years, I didn’t expect it. Look at it” Robyn said in a whisper “yeah, a mother’ love I guess. It never stops, I don’t think they really got over it, maybe you can help with that” I said to her “is this your husband?” one the lady’s said “call me Floressa, I am the more big butt sister. We both look so alike, so you will remember for next time” she pointed at Robyn “I was about to say and no, we are engaged. We are actually getting married while we are here, but Kiano calls him my husband. Well uncle Kiano” hearing Robyn take in a deep breath “it’s just a lot, I mean this. Saying this, it’s years and it’s like when I finally get the truth I don’t see him, the man himself. Sorry if I cry” Robyn said but I know her emotions will be everywhere with the pregnancy too “it’s ok, it’s hard. I never believed my mom, she always said it, I know my son lives on. I used to think my mom lost it but then she was right” Floressa said “I mean she is oddly crazy at times; we keep telling to put this away, but she won’t. Not her baby Rell” Daphne is just smiling so much staring at Robyn “he was loved a lot” Floressa laughed “you got that right, oh god. It makes me laugh because he was so quiet and we all thought he was gay, we said it to him. Kiano, what did we say to him?” Floressa hit Kiano shoulder “yeah, we bullied him. Not going to lie and then Arabella, you said it. You go oh no he got a girl” to see the joy on their faces speaking on Rell, it’s sweet to see.

“Yes, it was me he kind of mentioned it to me because I goes what is this business. You out at night, mom don’t like it. Stop being stupid, he said oh I have a girl. We didn’t really proceed with it further because dad came along and ruined it but then we caught up again, and I knew he was doing bad things for a few bucks. Oh, I need to buy some things for this girl, I goes oh no you tell me. Who is this, he erm” Arabella paused “he said she is out of this world Ara, she is just unique, and she wants to date me so I need to spoil her but I don’t do that either, I get shy sometimes because I mean if you see her you will know why and she has amazing eyes. I said Rell please, I will borrow you money just stop. Oh, I will Ara, did he hell but I saw it and he was very much lovestruck I would say. And I did see her at the funeral, I remember her I asked her who she was, she did say I dated him, and I knew it was her because of the eyes but he admitted it to me but he was quiet. And he was ever so shy, so him doing bad was such a shock. The people around him, his friends all said it. He was mistaken because we found out by his friends, he only did bad things a few times and it was to drop off drugs, we wondered how he got into it and then family members admitted he asked them for work, we have some reputation around this area, but what happened to him it made the family stop. It’s been hard because to know he got mistaken for someone else or he would have been here” poor family, I feel for them a lot.

“My mom said he was shy too, she said for the small amount of time they were together it was like a lifetime for her. She always believed to not let the person leave after an argument, she always taught me that so with Maurice I like to resolve things if I can, but I get why. She said she fell pregnant and that night she told him to not go out, she was sick of it and he was being stupid, so they argued but she was supposed to tell him, she never did and then she said she did what she needed too, and like you said there was a name on your family and she didn’t want that for me. But everyone changes, my mom loved him so much and she never actually got over him, till this day. She said he loved her, treated her so well but yeah. I am sad I didn’t get to know you early on; I feel such a connection so quick” Reign is waking up finally, this girl is lazy as hell. She is laying on my lap just gathering energy like she needs it “hey” I said holding her hand, Reign side eyed me with her eyes still slightly closed “we wish the same, my dad said you were coming and that we will visit the grave together. It’s not far from here at all, we can walk there” I didn’t think we was going to a cemetery now “I don’t mind, I would like that” maybe I should have pretended to be in pain today.
