An open letter to bigfatbimbo.🪽

Reasons why you should write for Adam.

1 -> He is a misogynist (not for long)

Look at his face. He is so weird. I swear. He has been favoritized for far too long, leaving him with the most mind-numbing god complex. Don't you want to stab him to death like niffty? Don't you want to put him where he deserves to be (either underground or under me)? I do. You should too! Because his way of thinking meets it's end where my heels begin.

2 -> He is stupid

He has the emotional maturity of a boiled lobster. He fits into heaven like an orca in the amazon river. He is so unbelievably incompetent it is actually kind of mind boggling. Don't you want to crush him like he's a little bug (either with your fists or your thighs)? Didn't he literally say one of the "biggest issues evet" was math or something? He probably couldn't tell you where Africa is in the world map even if you paid him. Even the fruit of knowledge couldn't give him enough braincells to function as a proper member of society.

3 -> he deserves humiliation

He deserves to have his entire worldview rocked and destroyed, something we can surely provide. His shallow thinking should be promptly obliterated. He has only ever gotten away from beautiful tall strong women because he always had the option of just asking for a different woman. They didn't have the mental fortitude to put him in his place. We are the bearers of the curse (liking repulsive men), and, since there is no "mental fortitude" to begin with, there is nothing for him to break down. We (as a collective) should end him.

4 -> I know what he is

His entire persona is a gigantic act to make up for the fact he cannot appropriatelly cope with losing in general, much less losing the, like, 2 wives he ever had (to THE SAME GUY!! MIND YOU!!!) and if he had more people they were one night stands. Not because he left them, but because people know he is worthless scum and he is good for nothing other than his "original dick" ( eugh. I usually refrain from cursing >:// ). It is the reason for his pride and also the only thing that makes him even remotely worth the hastle of talking to. He is the equivalent of a carnival prize to the people in heaven, scoring him is more of a show of your own endurance rather than how coveted he is. He has been objectified through his own hubris. He should be made aware of that. He should fear the knowledge we posses. It should be used against him.

5 -> he sounds.. like.. . He sounds good.

I watched the series while skipping most of the songs but I genuinelly could not do it when he was singing. No wonder he's in a band or something, I didn't actually pay attention to what he was saying I was paying more attention to the sound of his voice so I don't remember clearly what's up with that. Like he sounds REALLY good. If only he knew how to just use his voice without saying the most repulsive atrocities to be ever uttered by anyone ever. Oh yeah! We can make him incoherent enough for that to happen.

6 -> Lute deserves better

Lute deserves, like, a woman. Not him. She's too gorgeous for him, and, the difference between us and her is that while SHE is dealing with HIM, in our case, HE has to deal with US. Really, we're just saving a beautiful, amazing, stunning, showstopping woman a lot of trouble, and getting an ENTIRE PATHETIC MAN AS A TRADE! WIN WIN! Literally no downsides, I swear.

7 -> he is girl dinner

Don't you just love looking into your fridge and seeing the worthless scraps that built up overtime but somehow taste better now than they usually would have, which is particularly shocking considering it has 0 nutritional value? That would be what girl dinner is, and also an appropriate analogy for what Adam is like! Just roughly ok looking enough for you to not downright call it a biohazard. You will go to bed satisfied after fighting tooth and nail for your dinner (getting him to behave properly) and, it'll be easier the next times maybe! Operant conditioning is a heavy hitter with this repulsive individual, so it might actually get easier! Who knows!

8 -> Pretty please? (´｡･д人)ﾞ

I really. Uh . I really want him if you couldn't tell? Maybe the cannibalism and the fear I want to instill into him got in the way of you seeing my point, but, like, that's just how I love. The highest honor I could bestow on him is wanting to eat him, so, maybe that'll assist in your judgement? I also just really like your writing and would love to hear your thoughts on his idiotic self. AND! AND! Other people also want you to write about him if I well remember the 1 ask you received about him!

Masculinity in Baldur's Gate 3:

As a trans guy who didn't have with friendly male rolemodels growing up, the male companion characters in Baldur's Gate 3 mean so much to me.

While Astarion is clearly my favorite, I have a huge amount of love and appreciation for all the companion characters (male and female). But it's the several types of masculinity the male companion characters have that offer something for male and/or masculine folks like me to aspire to (in some way or another).

Disclaimer: I've unfortunately not had the time to interact much with Minsc, therefore I won't be including him in this post, but he seems like a lovely and cool dude overall, so please don't take his absence as a sign of me not liking him.

Astarion:

Astarion's interest in murder/violence and being mean are definitely not something to aspire to, but I do understand why he does what he does. His trauma is no excuse for his actions, but they do explain a lot.

I really like Astarion mainly due to how he is as a masculine character and how he's portrayed as an explicitly queer, slightly effeminate man with trauma.

In terms of being "explicitly queer," I mean this clip from this video:

As someone who doesn't neatly fit into the stereotype of being a trans man, let alone the expectations of what it means to be a "real man," Astarion's effeminate nature is something I deeply appreciate. 

(Note: That's not me trying to insinuate that trans guys me aren't "real men." It's solely about commenting on how men who are gender non-conforming in any way are told they're 'not real men').

He's very theatrical in his demeanor, and it's one of the things I love most about him. He's hilarious, he's fun, and he's able to be the way he is without being shamed and emasculated for it. I grew up + live in an area where being as theatrical and fun as Astarion is something that can get you shamed or even physically hurt for not being "man enough" in that way. 

As someone who exists somewhere on the bi/pan spectrum, I've loved seeing how the ladies of the BG3 fandom are totally chill with Astarion being pansexual. As a man with the capacity to find people of all genders (including women) attractive, I've often felt very insecure in my masculinity for being queer and "not masculine enough."

Guys like me usually get dismissed as being "only gay." That our sexuality isn't a real or valid thing, and that we're "lesser" than straight men because of our ability to find love with people regardless of their gender. Being feminine, in any capacity, as a man is a very terrifying thing due to the shame and violence we can experience for daring to be ourselves. 

And I don't want to equate my trauma with anything Astarion has been through (especially as someone who isn't a survivor of sexual violence), but I do find a lot of comfort in how Astarion's trauma is dealt with in his story.

So long as you (the player) treat him with the respect and dignity he deserves, Astarion is never shamed or made to feel "less than" for his trauma. The story of his trauma is treated with proper respect and care, and I absolutely love that. 

He makes me feel less alone and weird for how my own experience with abuse has left me with inner demons that I've yet to overcome. Like him, I experience night terrors due to my trauma. It's a very scary thing to deal with. And as a man, it makes me feel very small, ashamed, and pathetic. But seeing Astarion go through it and not having that be something he's shamed for is something I deeply appreciate. I know he's fictional, but seeing a character as cool as him going through that too makes me feel less alone and weird for it.

Wyll:

Wyll is a close second favorite character of mine. He's just an awesome, epic, badass guy! He's the kind of man I aspire to be. He does everything he can to help others, he cares deeply about doing what's right, he's a huge nerd/dork, and he's got the biggest heart amongst the companion characters (which says a lot in my opinion since he's got Karlach and Halsin as stiff competition for that category). He's very cool and lovely, and I really hate seeing how underappreciated he is as a character.

I absolutely love the meme of people saying that Wyll was the only origin character to dust himself off and head back to doing what he was doing before to get kidnapped and infected by the mindflayers. Man is too selfless and rad to take a break from helping the tiefling children how to fight.

I do want to give credit for this meme to this cool dude called Azeem (aka blackpurist).

Gale:

I'll admit, I didn’t really care for Gale at first. But the more I got to know him, the more I realized that this dude is (most certainly) on the spectrum. That's not a canon thing, but I absolutely believe that he is. Not a bad thing either (and I say that as someone who is also autistic). Honestly, realizing that many of his traits are autistic recontextualized certain things about him and helped me like him way more.

I really appreciate how straightforward Gale is as a communicator. The dude puts everything out in the open, for better or worse. He has no ulterior motives and does his best to make his intentions very clear. Love him or hate him, Gale is a dude you're not afraid of (unless you're a bad guy or something).

I also appreciate how passionate the man is about the stuff he's dedicated his life to (magic, which is most certainly his special interest). Gale is also very kind and open-minded, a good example of this being what he has to say about Astarion's vampirism. Gale's not my favorite guy, but he's an absolutely chill dude, and I'd totally be his friend if he were real.

Halsin:

So long as you save him and the Emerald Grove, Halsin is totally chill with you from the first moment you meet him. He's very kind, upfront, and non-judgemental, which is pretty cool.

I also really appreciate how much he cares about consent. Halsin is polyamorous, and if he expresses romantic interest in the player character and the player character happens to already be in a relationship, he makes sure to not pursue anything without the expressed consent of both the player character and their partner. 

I know caring about consent is a bare minimum thing to do, but unfortunately there are still a lot of people irl who don't care about it which is why I greatly appreciate how Halsin (and also BG3 as a game) treats consent as an essential, inherent part of romantic and sexual relationships. Very cool, indeed!! 😎💖🌟💫

For weeks it continued like that, Joel dragging you out of bed and making you go outside, play with Ellie, spend time with June and Tommy… all things that slowly improved your mood. Joel wouldn’t let you drown in your own misery and as much as you hated it, he really had become your lifeboat. 

Ellie was asleep in her bed as you stayed in the room rearranging her clothes and cloth diapers while muffled voices talked outside; Joel had just brought some back from a raid and you were deciding what was salvageable and what she’d fit into. At 2 months she was still very small, but you were setting aside clothes and diapers that she grew out of. Tommy said he’d figure out local women who were pregnant. You’d come to realize how many of the men who didn’t live in the raider house had wives and children… and it concerned you. What was the state they lived in? Were they treated better or worse than you? Were thy beaten and raped? Did they love their husbands? Did their husbands take care of them the way Joel took care of you?

You couldn’t help smiling at the pretty dress he found; he was particularly proud of that one. ‘Isn’t it pretty? It’s a little big for Dolly right now but she’ll look so cute when she grows into it.’

The voices grew and you realized it was an argument outside. Curiosity getting the best of you, you look outside to see Joel and June arguing with each other and Tommy in his signature peace-keeper stance. Joel looked angry although you couldn’t make out his words. Memories of how Lorenzo and Zach were slaughtered in front of you and all the ways Joel brutalized you, and you knew you needed to protect June. With a glance to Ellie to check he’s still asleep and breathing, you run outside to intervene.

“JOEL!” You shout, running around the house to try and get Joel to calm. He at least had some love and respect for you, didn’t he? He brought June here for you, so he must have some regard for her life and what it meant to you? He wanted to be a family, surely he’d spare his daughter’s aunt?

Joel didn’t look at you, shouting at June; something about her attitude and being tired of her muttering under her breath. June, in her part, called him a psychopath and delusional, insisting he would never have a normal family. Before you could reach them, Joel slapped her hard, causing June to get knocked to the ground and you to freeze in your place. You wanted to move. You did… but your body would not make the steps…

Quickly, you realized you didn’t have to.

Tommy was on Joel in a flash, decking him on the jaw with a cracking punch and making Joel stumble back.

“KEEP YOUR GODDAMN HANDS OFF MY WIFE!” Tommy screamed at his brother and you felt your eyes growing at Tommy’s sudden display.

Joel was undeterred, a punch to the jaw being far from the worst he’d felt. Stepping forward again, he spread his arms out wide, taunting him. “There he is! There’s the Tommy Miller I know!” A wide grin was on his face, Joel huffing out a laugh as he whipped the blood from his mouth. “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, YOU FUCKING PUSSY!”

Tommy lunged at his brother once more, an anger on his face the likes of which you hadn’t seen before, not on your kind-hearted Tommy… You were starkly reminded here that Tommy Miller was a raider, Tommy killed, Tommy fought, Tommy tortured and you only ever had his word and Lorenzo’s limited understanding that he wasn’t a rapist. How much about him did you really know?

A full on fist fight ensued, the brothers shouting at each other as they did; Tommy yelling at Joel to stay away from his family, Joel largely egging him on, telling him to be a man. Why was he trying to get Tommy to hurt him? Joel was clearly losing, but it was also obvious his full strength was not being utilized. You had seen what Joel could do and were aware of even more. Joel could take on several men without aid. Joel could brutalize without a second thought; he’d done it to you, he’d done worse to Nick.

But this was Tommy, and at the end of the day no matter the horrors, Joel was a father and a brother, and that was the core of who he was. Joel’s psyche snapping was due to his loss of Sarah and his desire to have her back was at the basis of everything he’d done to you, good and bad. Hell, the whole concept of Joel being a raider was based around the need to protect and provide for the only family he had left. The violence enacted had been in the name of Tommy’s survival… until it all became so muddled that he survived only for the violence… and then came you, and suddenly there was something else to live for.

Tommy had the clear lead, straddling Joel and landing blow after blow on Joel’s face and for a moment you thought he might really kill him.

“TOMMY!” You scream, and you don’t know why. You should want Joel dead, you should want your freedom… but you weren’t entirely sure what your freedom looked like now. Once, you thought that freedom was with Tommy, being his wife, loving him, maybe even a few more children. You thought it was with Zach and Lorenzo. All of that was out of the realm of possibility now, and Joel was what you knew, Joel is what you had, and Joel was the main reason you had been able to tread water thus far. Joel kept your head above water. “TOMMY STOP!”

He was not listening, you look at June for her to say something… but it looks like she wants Tommy to kill him too. You weren’t sure if Tommy would or could kill Joel, but for every punch Joel got in Tommy got two and you didn’t want Joel to show his whole brute force either. You didn’t want either one dead.

You rush over to where the men fought, June telling you to stay out of it, and try to get in between them but Tommy shoves you away and you fall back. Joel takes the advantage of the distraction and uses his legs to roll Tommy and climb on top to rain down punches although significantly less strong. “YOU DON’T TOUCH HER!” 

Eventually you are able to pull Joel off Tommy, June running over to help him stand just as you do Joel, both men dripping in blood and sweat, panting heavily.

Tommy points at Joel, still panting. “Stay away from her!”

You can’t help but scoff from behind where Joel guards you with his body. 

That sound makes Tommy turn to you incredulously, all pretense having been obliterated in the bite of the Wyoming freeze-over. “What does that mean?” The harsh tone of voice was new to you, but you were not deterred, frustration with Tommy and all involved in this last year boiling over.

You took a few steps towards the man, bundled up in his signature blue denim jacket. “Really? Now you wanna step up?!” Voice raising, you step up to Tommy despite his tall figure towering over you. “Everything that happened last year and now you want to protect her?”

Tommy’s jaw ticked in annoyance; he tried to keep calm in regular Tommy fashion but the addrenlien from the fight was not helping matters. “I not like that-”

“BUT IT IS!” You shout, shoving him hard on the chest. “WHERE WERE YOU LAST YEAR!” Another shove, Tommy’s composure slipping from him by the second. “WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I WAS BEING RAPED!” Another shove, harder this time and making Tommy stumble back. “HE BRANDED ME! HE BEAT ME! AND YOU JUST WATCHED!”

Tommy’s own anger, the impulse control he had been carefully tucking away since the days of his youth was unleashed on Joel today, and he was not able to reel it back in time to stop himself from shoving you back. “SHE’S PREGNANT!”

When you walked back from the force of his push, you could hear Joel’s footsteps in the crunch of leaves below his feet and you held a hand up. This was between you and Tommy. “Are you fucking kidding me? How long did you wait to jump into be with her? A week? That night? Just because Joel said she’s your wife DOESN’T MEAN SHE-”

“IT’S NOT LIKE THAT!” He shouts back before stuttering on his words. “She- I-”

You laugh. “You what? You love her? YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME!” Your fist flies to your chest, pounding on your heart as you scream.

 Tommy whispers your name, but you turn to June standing helplessly on the sidelines; out of the corner of your eye you see Joel, ever-watching. You speak only to your friend, irrational betrayal flooding your system. She was a victim of this pyschological torture Joel created, but she had Tommy, your Tommy, and you felt… cheated on. Is this how Joel felt when he found out you had been with Tommy? 

“You're having his baby?” You wait until she nods in confirmation, and whatever else her lips had started to spill were cut off by your own words. “He tell you he was going to raise Ellie? When we ran away, he swore to me he’d raise Ellie as his daughter and now he won’t even hold her!” The tears that had began pooling in your eyes spilled over, and your voice weakened. “He was going to be her father, he told me he loved me, but he- oh my god.” The ache in your heart at a new realization made you double over as it began to manifest in a full-body reaction.

“Honey, please, it’s not-”

“You are so FUCKING PATHTIC!” You scream at him. “You had me thinking I was special, the whole time I was here and that whole time you were fucking Maria!” The way June turned to him, it seemed she didn’t know about Maria yet. “You lived with her for months and when I came you left her without another thought-”

“You needed help!”

“And you were never going to come back to her! You have the will power, the commitment of a bug, Tommy! You just join wherever is convenient, whatever is the new, shiny thing and then you just DROP ME!”

A blanket of silence enveloped the four of you, and slowly the strength you had faded. You feel small, used, helpless…

Tommy at least looks remorseful; maybe he is more aware of his nature than you think. “Honey…” He spoke softly, eyes pleading with forgiveness while Joel and June watched all this unfold in a vacuum. “She’s having a baby, I can’t- I gotta man up for her, just as I did when you were pregnant.”

“Why did I have to become pregnant?” You don’t even recognize your own voice as it cracks under the pressure of today and the crushing postpartum depression. “Wasn’t I enough?”

Tommy didn’t respond, he simply stood there with that guilt stricken look that had seared into your mind when Joel had you bent over the table at the beginning of all this. He just watched as you clutched your stomach and cried, a horrific silence allowing your sobs to echo in the open field until Joel’s arms wrapped around you. You jump; everything you had said had been said to Tommy, but Joel had heard it all of course… would he punish you for these feelings? But his touch was gentle around you, ushering you around the house and sitting you on the front porch steps. Tender, Joel attempted to pull you onto his lap but you resided him.

Joel gave you space, and lots of time until your tears subsided enough before he spoke. 

“I want you to be happy here, little one. I’m try’n, I’m trying so fucking hard to make this better. Tommy’s a cheat, but you're the only one that can make me happy, you understand that, don’t you?”

You nodded, believing him. Despite everything, Joel had tried. Joel was loyal to you in a way Tommy never had been. Joel’s hold on you was damn near obsessive. 

“I’m try’n. I’m fuck’n try’n. I want us to be a family, you me and Dolly. I want her to have a happy mom. I know I ain’t… I ain’t been the best. I’ve…”  Joel paused, and then with a breath he admitted his faults. “I’ve been cruel. I hurt you, and I don’t wanna be like that. What can I do? What’s it gonna take to make you happy? To make a good home for our daughter?”

You lift your head off his shoulders, the cool wind blowing on your wet face. “I don’t… I don’t know, Joel. I just feel… alone.” You begin to cry. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry Joel it’s just…”

“You can tell me, little one. It’s okay. I won’t punish you.”

His eyes are deep and pleading, he wanted so much for you to be happy, didn’t he?

“I feel like I have no one! Zach is dead, Lorenzo is dead, almost everyone who was there for me is dead and now June and Tommy have each other and I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t feel like this because you are my husband but… I feel like Tommy betrayed me, I feel like I have no one!”

Joel waited, allowing you to speak and showed no signs of anger at your words. “You have me”

“Joel…”

He kisses your forehead. “I’m here for you, to protect you, to provide for you and Dolly. I’ll do whatever you want, anything. We can leave, we can go somewhere else, start over, whatever you need, whatever it takes for our family.”

Joel was offering to start over, start a new life… is that what you wanted?

“Can I… Can I go on a walk? Think about it?”

Joel nodded briskly, helping you stand and giving you his flannel for warmth. You knew Joel would have one of his men trailing you but for the most part you took the time to be alone. No baby, no Joel, no June, no Tommy. Just you.

What did you need to be happy? Leaving Joel wasn’t an option… you had to make the best of what you had. Joel was right. Ellie deserved a happy home. Ellie deserved a happy family, including her aunt and uncle and little cousin. But Ellie also deserved safety. She deserved a sense of normalcy in her childhood. How do you provide that? 

You sit at the edge of a field, the single grave that held the bodies of Zach, Lorenzo, Jack and Maura was decorated with one headstone. Joel had done this for you as an act of mercy.

“I don’t know what to do.” You sob as you sit down on the grass. “I need help.” You pray for guidance, for some voice of your family to help you. Joel was giving you freedom, choices… you needed to take advantage of that.

It wasn’t until you felt your breasts swelling, telling you it was time to feed your daughter that you walked back up to the house. A golden shadow had been cast by the setting sun, breeze playing in the golden field Joel had been working on harvesting. As you came up over the small hill, you see him there on the tractor he had fixed up with Ellie on his lap. She was laughing… her first laugh. 

You fight the urge to run over, just watching your husband play with your daughter, a happy, healthy little baby despite it all. Joel was right; she was strong.

Joel turns to you when your dress rustles in the fields of gold, grinning wildly as he proudly announces- “She can laugh now!”

You return his smile with the same pride. “She’s such a good baby…” And she was. She really was. 

He continued tickling Ellie for a little just to hear that laugh a little longer before looking back to you more seriously. He still looked happy; he always looked happy around her, but there was still that worry in his eyes. “Did you have a good walk?” Joel asked sincerely.

“I did.” You move to sit on the tractor with him, resting your head on his shoulder. “I want to do this with you, Joel. I want our family, but there’s gotta be changes.”

Joel nodded vigorously, eager to do what it took to keep you. He always looked so young in these moments. “What is it, baby? I do anything.”

With a deep breath, the crisp air filled your lungs, and you exhaled your conditions. “First, I am free to go wherever and whenever I like, so is June, so is Tommy as long as you don’t leave leave.”

Readily, he agreed.

You lift your head up off his warmth to allow yourself to look him in the eye. This was the most important. “Second, you cannot hurt our family. I don’t care what June says to you, you can’t hurt her, Tommy, me-”

“I wouldn’t hurt you-”

“YOU HUNG ME THREE MONTHS AGO!”

That shut Joel up, and he gave a little nod. “Okay. I’ll stop.”

“Joel, this is the most important part-”

“I wouldn’t hurt Dolly”

“I’m not saying you would. But you can’t threaten or imply you will to manipulate me, and I need you to understand” You lean in close “I’m aware I can’t kill you. I’m aware you are stronger than me, but I swear to god, you harm my daughter and I will die defending her.”

To your surprise, Joel smiled. “That’s why I love you.”

And to your surprise, you smiled back. “Third. She will not grow up in a house full of strange men. Unacceptable. Considering that half of them were willing to rape me when I was barely out of my teens, that is asking for a problem.” Lorenzo had brought this up to you months ago, and it had been on your mind. Lorenzo died trying to protect you and Ellie, his input would not be in vain.

He seemed to consider this point. “I agree.”

“She needs a stable environment. June and Tommy” You take in a deep breath, still dealing with the mind fuck that the man you had loved was having a child with your best friend. “They’ll be having her cousin, and I know some of the men have children and wives… I want… something else. A community.”

IM SO ON IT! just like the last design hc post, i’ll add little rundowns of some of the design traits!

DAZAI

my dazai design has gone thru a LOT of phases, as well as just a bit of exploration… a few common and solidified traits about him however:

- dazai’s very tan, and his hair is VERY curly, bordering coily. in my hc he’s ethnically mixed :3 (japanese and bangladeshi!)

- soft but sharp face, big nose, and soft big eyes. thick eyebrows too! i based his colour scheme off the manga one, so, dark brown almost black hair instead of a lighter brown, and dark brown eyes instead of a chestnut brown.

- SNAKEBITE PIERCINGS! in me nd the lovely @fiftyofhearts ‘ hcs (hes the asker here hai ethan :3), he got them done w ranpo and yosano.

- he’s fat. okay. i said so. the silhouette of his big ass clothes (the trenchcoat specifically) makes him look a little smaller, but thats still very much true.

- he’s scruffy. goes through periods of shaving vs not shaving but generally has a little bit of wispy facial hair more often than not. also, he’s transmasc!!! he binds w bandages also its not good. don’t do what he does. i don’t encourage unsafe binding

- 14 to 16-zai was very hyperfem. i don’t think he had that realization that he was trans until a liiiil bit later. maybe around 17? very subtly transitioned. i dont think he outwardly came out to many people other than probably chuuya, oda, and ango. everyone else just caught on eventually. he definitely went solely by his last name to disassociate from his deadname and eventually chose the name “osamu” as his first later on

- prisonzai is FULL of facial hair! his hair has gotten a lil longer too. that’s due to the fact that i’d imagine honestly his hair grows Very fast. and they’re not gonna give him a razor to shave this is literally prison

- he’s a lesbian btw

SIGMA

somehow, the sigma design has stayed relatively linear.

- LATINA SIGMA REALNESS!!!!!!!!!! a little ethnically ambiguous canonically because she was made from a book. duh. but tbh i think shes argentinian

- tan skin, very cool undertone. soft and droopy eyes, SUPER thick eyebrows, and white eyelashes. very round face and big and wide arched nose. she has a bit of a pathetic and sopping wet look to her, but she still looks very kind and gentle. most of the time while she’s masking (usually while working), that kinda works in her favour. adds to the warm and inviting feeling she’s got goin on. however, her resting face is very sad and miserable.

- she’s tall and lanky, kinda skinny. very lean and relatively average build. her colour scheme and outfit design is adjacent to the way she’s drawn in the manga. i love her so much but i dont like the anime depiction of her outfit… sorry bbg. she’s perfect in every way however

- i think generally, she’s very androgynous. enjoys dressing very androgynously too. you know how in stormbringer lippmann is described as like, so androgynous to the point where if he dressed femininely men would go crazy ‘nd if he dressed masculinely women would go crazy?? yeah. she’s got something similar goin on. switches between dressing femininely and masculinely and very in-between often. always doing something cute.

- in my eyes she is so transfem. no sort of medical transition, tho… just socially. came out that page serving cunt and she’ll continue to the day she dies

- she wears press on nails me-thinks. usually black almonds or stilettos, sometimes she switches it up to purple however.

- hair cut is kinda weird but like ???? its like if u mixed a hime cut w a wolf cut basically. or smthn like that. lots of layers. yes that’s her natural hair colour btw, she’s just cute like that.

- jōno is very much so blasian. lightskinted…. hair is pretty wavy but rests pretty straight just cuz of the haircut. the red is dyed btw. she didn’t care much abt the colour, someone asked to fuck w her hair, and she begrudgingly told them to go crazy. everyone seems to like it however, so she’s down w it.

- SMILE LINES. SMILE LINES AND EYE WRINKLES. product of keeping her eyes closed literally all the time. and her stupid smug resting face. she’s also filled with freckles and beauty marks. majority of them are on her face, but she’s definitely got some around her body as well.

- jōno is Tall. around 5’11” ethan has decided. she’s got a very graceful build but she’s NOT small, nor thin. lots of muscle and fat collecting around her thighs and legs, her strongest asset when it comes to physical strength methinks. have you SEEN how violently she’s able to kick people??? cmon now.

CHOOSING ONE FOR SHOKO WAS TOUGHHH but eventually i landed here ….. this one is entirely vibe-based but. just. the plot…. the pirates and planes and high-speed chase scenes and the castle in the sky with all its advanced technology….. especially the castle. the robots!!!! the retrofuturistic style in general is soooo shoko…. and obviously the war themes but that’s kind of a given for any of miyazaki’s works. honestly i think porco rosso is very very shokocoded too but i had to give that to another one of my blorbos….. this movie just makes me feel so nostalgic and i think the themes fit shoko a ton :3

AHH i'm so excited for you!! i love never again, it's such an insightful exploration of scully's character and so many deeper issues that the show rarely goes into. i know it's off of me to say that an episode written by two men feels very indicative of women's struggles but it's glenmorganjameswong so i'm allowed. they just get these characters, and they get scully, even the parts you only see when no one is around. gillian too, who had asked for a darker scully-centric.

1/ in my mind she still has the tattoo, there was no reason to have it removed since the traces of ergot weren't high enough to be damaging. i know we don't see it again but continuity on this show is fluid, we can think whatever we want lol.

2/ she did sleep with ed, chris carter removed the scene. some believe this was for the best, some believe it's dismissive and harmful to erase her choices and autonomy. i'm of the latter opinion, i think it's important that there was something physical and bodily and sexual about her "liberation," and the ways in which she was punished for it.

3/ GET HER A DESK! i love your headcanon, anon. there is so much underlying and bubbling up and present in never again. personally, that's what makes the ending hit so hard. that it ends in silence, a trailed off half-sentence, sitting in between the light and the dark. they're both being confronted with so much, and they are about to be confronted with more, and they can't betray how they feel out loud.

Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus : Does awful things willingly, consistently and without reason, and may make jokes about hurting people in general.

EruptionFang and The RWBY Rewrite folks: OMG he’s so funny and hot. I love bad boys/villains/bad people. They MUST be morally grey, cause they're so cool, they must have a tragic backstory justifying their actions.

James Ironwood: Has a pathetic excuse for his actions, blames it on other people, never takes accountability, and does a teeny tiny good thing (Think of it as nepotism) and throws outbursts when he doesn’t get his way.

Fandom on all 3 men: OMG, he is so sad, my poor baby, he deserves so much better, my heart is breaking for him. He is a complex character  with so many layers and he owns their horrible disgusting actions. But his actions are not his own fault. He has trauma. OMG so hot.

I mean they also scream character assassination when it comes to male antagonists, but let me ask you this.

You notice how these critics look at a robotic acting nanny for Penny Polendina by the name of Ciel Soleil, who only had 60 seconds of screentime, and whine about wasted potential?

Several things to keep in mind. 1, these people only call v1-3 "peak animation" because they put Monty on a pedestal, and because they were obsessed with yang's chest size. That's it.

2. These people are not used to women characters having more complexity than a male character. They were fed a diet of media that treated female characters badly in one way or another.

I've been thinking a lot today about how self hatred seems pretty integral to straight culture, at least from all the passing remarks my gay friends and peers have made throughout our time together. Like that analysis of Carmen and Richie from The Bear is really sticking with me, the way fans resonate and are more forgiving of the latter because he's that of your average red blooded working class old school straight dude, while Carmen is seen as prissy and pathetic and weird by some fans for not linearly healing from unlinear trauma, for standing up for women and taking no issue with having them in power, some headcanoning him gay or trans for all this. I was watching Bojack Horseman with one of my old roommates last year and he made a comment like "it's so crazy that they made Diane go this hard for feminism and they still made her straight", almost as if to imply straight women don't need feminism and if their feminism goes any deeper than centricism or liberalism then they've probably got more going on, so the reverse of this exists for straight women too.

It's fascinating. People will assume you're gay if you're a nice / sensitive dude, as evidenced both by real life interactions that've been recounted to me by my straight guy friends and by the countless amount of headcanons that any boy or man in fiction with trauma who tries to do the right thing is a trans guy or a gay dude. I mindlessly reblog pictures of shirtless guys + male positivity posts cus "hey that's cool, I could look like that. I hope people think I'm as cool as this guy looks." Men are pretty cool" " or "yeah, men do have the potential to be good. I'm a man, I like to think this is the case" and very little more, and next thing I know I've got like 3 dudes trying to slide in my DMs. I have my personal grievances with these lines of thinking; I think they're really limiting and kind of regressive, especially from the perspective of anyone who's serious about any kind of gender or sexuality liberation. I don't think it's a crime to have headcanons or to want to find other gay people or to want to be seen in your media of choice, or any of that stuff, but I do think it's kinda rude to talk about straight people who don't fit into neat little boxes of "rampant abuser" and "vapid floozy who'll agree to anything as long as it gets her a husband" as if they're, like, weirdos or a waste or something. Part of sex and gender and feminist liberation means that everyone gets to do whatever they want. You're gonna meet a lot of straight women like Diane Nguyen, you're gonna meet a lot of straight men like Carmen Berzatto.

More importantly though, it just makes me kinda sad. Like the only way to love yourself and your gender and the people around you is so lacking in straight culture that people will sooner assume you're gay when you do good things for the women in your life or when a woman has a life outside of her husband. Like why did we do this to ourselves. It sucks bad.

To be honest, I haven't really thought about her in a while. I've been trying to get away from the things that don't bring me joy. Pathetic, I know. I think the last time I really gave her any thought was a couple months ago when a coworker of mine who's a self published author and I were discussing our journeys as writers and the advice we'd gotten. The subject of Jenna came up when discussing booktube and author advice channels. Despite being drastically different genres, we both watched her videos and similarly, outgrew them.

My dislike for her boiled down to a couple things.

1. She's a hypocrite and probably doesn't realize it or at least, I hope she doesn't. She peddles advice but when you read her books, she hasn't followed any of it. One big one is the Insta-Love problem. Maybe she doesn't see it as such but it is.

2. She's a prude, and if you like something that she doesn't, you're wrong. I've made it no secret here that I love monsters. She doesn't and has said in her videos that monster romance is gross and no one should write it. I may remember this wrong, but I think she even said that if you like monster romance, you should get help. She also, and I'm not misremembering this, reduced Shape of Water down to the fish sex movie and called it gross. I won't give an entire TED talk about the movie, but it shows how little she actually knows about it or the care Del Toro put into it, and maybe she should keep her mouth shut. She has entire videos that are just tropes or dynamics she thinks should go away, and it's basically every single popular romance trope. Now, if she just said that they weren't her cup of tea, cool. But she doesn't. She gets really shamey about them. She's one of the examples of people in the fantasy romance community that fall into an unpopular opinion I've been brewing for some time.

3. She hates women who aren't her. Every woman in her books, besides the self insert FMC, is talked about like they're horrible. There's no nuance to her thoughts about them. It's clear that she views women as competition.

4. This one is just a small gripe... she calls herself a full-time writer. She isn't. She's a full-time YouTuber with two books to her name (three if you count the one she's trying to bury), one of which is just book one told from a different character's perspective.

5. The way she writes men is horrible. The way she writes men is like how men write women. She writes them the way my Christian parents talked about men when I was in high school. They lack nuance or complexity. They all talk and act like 80s movie Frat boys.

6. She comes off super arrogant. I lied about not thinking about her in a while. She was mentioned on a podcast I listened to on Friday. My bad. They mentioned that they've spoken to people who were former beta readers of hers. Those betas said she would just dismiss their thoughts and criticisms. Girl... you gotta keep learning if you're gonna get better.

7. When giving examples in her videos, she uses her own books. That just seems weird to me. Pick a book more people have read.

That's basically it... I just stopped watching her stuff. There's probably more I'm forgetting, but yeah... I wanna get back to bg3.

cursed pairing srsly. one might think that theyd be great for each other cause they are both horrible people in general, but that is dooming one more person to be the abuse victim of univen's fuckery and as bad as mol leed is, pairing him (or most others) with univen is just inhumane. his only saving grace is that he would die of radiation poisoning within a few months because univen is radioactive

also mol leed cheated on rosai with univen. i didnt even know they could do that. i thought hed just reject her because he was already in a relationship

9. vipera x sikra

the two to least likely get together on the entire list; vipera would definitely not get into a relationship with anyone and especially 'i only like men who are pathetic failures' sikra. the two wouldnt last two seconds in-universe before vipera would try and eat sikra's spine. too bad she doesnt have one.

8. giaxxa x tip

the only couple on here who would even have a chance of becoming a legitimate thing in-universe, though not out of love. unfortunately ive already explored that scenario, and itd lead to an extremely toxic relationship filled with resentment on giaxxa's side and neglect on tip's side. however the two are good people so long as they don't get together (and so long as tip's mother doesn't interfere too much in his personal life)

this is just a missmatch of personality, mainly. theyd probably have a fine first few weeks, but big sis would probably drive pud nuts with all her philosophizing (and hallucinogen use).

the funniest part of this pairing is that in-universe seaadi was dating pud so i like to imagine that he just misread pud's name and now started to accidentally date his lover's aunt.

4. tud x okai

from here on, the relationships could actually work. this one wouldnt work THE best, especially with these two's history with politics and responsibility amongst family, but they'd prolly have fun most of the time

tud would not be happy about being dragged right back into politics after they thrusted that job onto pag though

3. king x frishik

the most stable relationship here, with the both of them being extremely calm and rational (in most cases). they'd also be terrifying as a fighting duo

2. sur x tip

this is the FUNNIEST combination i couldve ever hoped for.

tip, older brother of tip, fell in love with his younger brother's girlfriend, giaxxa. he asked her out twice and got rejected both times, then he asked sur, giaxxa's mother, out and actually got together with her. tip has become his younger brother's father in law, and later had a child with sur, making that kid both giaxxa's brother and nephew. giaxxa had already a weird family due to his sister being older than her mother by nearly two decades, the poor girl will never get a break

and the two could actually make this work. they've got quite a few things in common and tip has a type for women like sur anyways. sur might need a bit of time to warm up to him, but she enjoys ripping on people who act stupid as hell anyways, and tip would provide a fortune for her

nym x glitch 7

how funny that the two victims of the worst couple on here would make the best couple, but i can genuinely see this one. nym's main interest (linguistics and languages) is one of glitch 7's domains as a god, and the two would probably love to go clubbing together. plus nym would finally have a girl interested in him too, instead of just being drowned in potential boyfriends

also glitch would absolutely carry nym around in one arm when hes feeling lazy and/or sad
