OH about the finale at the shrine, this completely slipped my notice when we were talking about it, but Ichi says he's "reporting" Jo's verdict to both Arakawa and Masato. It's just not translated that way.

Not too big of a difference (well, it is to me, but I'm insane), but if it was highlighting anything, I'd guess it's probably Masato's change of heart. It would've been fair for Ichi to assume Masato wouldn't care and only "report" to Arakawa, but in the context of Ichi doing his damnedest to show Masato they all love him, it works in terms of, "Maybe I made him reconsider, and maybe now he would care."

Also... I'm looking at it in a "measured" way, since the chapter trophies are always just standard "Nth Chapter Cleared" messages that the localization team just spices up for us, but there's something I find really poignant about the Chapter 13 trophy being worded as "Fate of Our Fathers." The pluralization of both the noun and pronoun. Realizations that come too late.

Of course, Masato definitely didn't "know" and had no real reason to suspect it, but the Arakawas have this bizarre subconscious almost-psychic link. So even if he doesn't really think so, there's this sense that Ichi "might as well" be Arakawa's "real" son because they're so much more alike. And maaaybe he felt that way about Jo and himself at one point, because (as we've discussed) there has to be a reason Jo was Masato's "favorite."

Like one time Quinn came home slightly tipsy and past curfew, and he snuck them into his room. Though he scolded them in the morning, he covered for Quinn at breakfast, saying they ate too much sugar last night, thats why hes queasy and has a headache.

That was how my Au used to be in the past! But now, the context of the Au is that they knew eachother since kids. (Actual response to the question).

So, its like a Patroclus-Achilles situation (Not exactly but to put at example). Antinous' father went with Odysseus to war and never came back, and the rest of his family perished due to a plage sent by Apollo, after disrespecting him by accident. (People of Ithaca try not to Anger gods, imposible)

After that Antinous was alone for quite some time, thats ofc until he met with Telemachus. (I was thinking either a forest or some cliff that has views to the ocean 🔥). And as soon as Telemachus Saw him he was like "Woowie an orphan, i like you, you're cool." And kinda like dragged him to the palace to live there.

So, they were with achother for years until the suitors arrived. Antinous had to become a "suitor" (Because he wasnt even trying to aproach penelope LMAO). It was just a way to stay in the Palace and dont get kicked out when he became an adult. (In this Au they met when they were arround 10 years and the suitors arrived at 16).

This leaded to the suitors making him the leader. Their mindset was: "He's close to the Prince, he knows stuff and he has been arround for more time than us." So they made him the leader agaisnt his will (But he had to accept the charge under pressure and to keep pretending). Also because he has anger issues and he can be rather terrifying sometimes 💀💀.

About the final day for the suitors. It was all a misunderstanding. Odysseus shot him in the chest because he thought he was an actual suitor, because the whole leader thing, and because Antinous trew a stool at him. About the stool, Antinous got mad at Him and snapped, the reason he trew a stool at Odysseus is because he thought HE was just another suitor. (In this Au, he despites the suitors with his entire soul but still has to act like some father of sorts even tho some suitors are few years older than him. (the olderst suitor i hc to be 31, the youngest 20 behind Antinous and Telemachus, Anty being 22 and Telemachus 21).

But ofc, he survives. How??! Heh, Apollo. It was kinda an apologise for killing his family, so when Odysseus said his famous like "Apollo May i manage it" Apollo got to see everything, wich made him manage to do stuff to the Arrow that Odysseus shot at Antinous. After a bit of drama, as soon as Antinous hit the infirmary Telemachus went to his father-son bonding of killing the rest of suitors like nothing, then as soon as he was done he went to check ofc.

And in case you wonder Who the "Bad Guy" is in this Au, its Amphinomus :). In the Odyssey he is the least bad suitor, but in this Au he turns out to be a double faced bitch that is actually horrible. This is why Telemachus kills him the first in the "Suitorgamedon" (Name i just pulled out my ass 😭🙏)

In my last design for him I made him a light gray tabby colorpoint, but I decided to make him a black tabby colorpoint this time because 2 of his kits are black, and despite the fact that RoC does not follow realistic cat genetics... it still bothers me bec it makes no sense that two dilute cats would have non dilute babies LOL

another fact! Blue wished she had chosen Lynx to be her Second instead of Tiger... but tbh Tiger probably would have killed him, even if Lynx was his brother.

Character Summary:

Lynxstorm and his littermate Tigerclaw were Snowstorm and Thistleclaw's second litter, the first being a litter of 3 which all sadly died due to a premature birth. It was many cycles before Snow and Thistle tried for a second litter as the death of the first had left Snow distraught and fearful of it happening again. However their second litter were healthy and strong, and because of this Snow named them after two kinds of powerful and strong wild cat.

Thistleclaw took far more interest in Lynx's brother Tiger, as Tiger was the larger and stronger of the two, it was obvious that Tiger took after Thistle, which Thistle loved. However Lynx was smaller and more empathetic and kind, he spent far more time with his mother and found his father's more cruel nature unappealing.

As Lynx grew he also took far more notice of how toxic his parent's relationship was. Thistleclaw was so obsessed with power and strength, that he would often judge his own mate for doing things he deemed "weak" and Snowstorm would refuse to let anyone think her weak and would feel the need to prove Thistle wrong. Thistle didn't just put this pressure on his mate either, he put it on his sons, especially Tiger, and Lynx grew to hate Thistle for it.

Snowstorm died during a border dispute early into Lynx and Tiger's apprenticeship, and this drove Thistle to be even more cruel. Thistle would take his sons out on extra night time training sessions that were far more brutal than anything a normal apprentice would be doing. Lynx knew that he only rarely was taken on these training sessions, Tiger on the other hand was trained constantly by Thistle. Lynx wanted to tell someone but Tiger made him swear not to, as Tiger wanted those sessions to learn how to be strong, even if he hated Thistleclaw for how brutal he was during them. Lynx never learned that Thistle had also been training Tiger in the Dark Forest as well...

As an adult, Lynx stayed far away from his father, choosing to go about his live happily and without any Thistleclaw bullshit. This would be made truly permanent when Thistle was found out for his grooming of Spottedleaf, Lynx was horrified by this (though not 100% surprised by his father's actions). Lynx joined Bluefrost's plan to assassinate Thistleclaw instead of simply banishing him, and though Tiger was the tom to serve the killing blow, Lynx was certainly there to make sure the deed was done. This not only felt like vengeance for Spotted, this felt like vengeance for his childhood, for his brother, and for his mother.

During the first arc plot Lynx becomes a big role model to Fire, being something like a father figure along side Lioheart.

Lynx got closer to and fell in love with Willowchime around the time that Gray was an apprentice, Willow always wanted to chat with Lynx and Lion about her son's apprenticeship and they started bonding from there. Lynx is also one of the only cats to learn the full story of Willow's past romance with Dark and Gray's kittypet father, and he holds not judgement towards her for it.

Lynx and Willow both died in the great battle against Tiger Order.

They arrive the morning after, when you’re still numb with grief, forced to face the people that have Leon’s mystical sheen, the ethereal, otherworldly glow that you grew so used to seeing only on him. It looks strange, unnatural on the duo standing in front of you.

“It has come to our attention that my son,” the man, hands cupped in a somewhat whimsical manner, grits out, “is being held prisoner in your dingy dungeon.”

“More than what he deserves, the beast,” your mother scoffs into your ear, leaning back at a sharp glance from your king. His Highness turns back to your visitors, standing precariously at the edge of the drawbridge, as if entering is declaring things you should not speak of.

“He impersonated us,” he says, eerily calm. “You, of all, should understand how insulting that is.”

“And we formally apologize on his behalf,” he retorts. You can see Leon pass in shadows, in the way his mouth tightens when he’s irritated, in the fringe that covers his eyes, far older and wiser than the man you thought you knew.

“How would you like to apologize for the death of this maiden’s father?” The king nudges you forward with his scepter, and you stumble towards them. Their gazes are uncaring as they scan you, eyebrows raised as if to mock your expression.

"We know nothing of this," the man answers sternly.

"Our son would never harm an innocent," the woman clinging to his side, who you assume to be his wife, adds.

"And yet your boy wore our faces to deceive the people," your king reminds them coolly.

"If what you claim is true, justice must be served,” Leon’s father says slowly. "We wish only to see our son. If you accuse him of crimes, let him defend himself before you in a court of law."

“We are far past the court of law,” one of the knights bursts out, stepping forward. You recognize him as one of the men always surrounding the king, perhaps a member of his personal guard. His eyes are crazed as an identically dressed man pulls him back. “Your son deserves nothing but-”

“Child,” the king interrupts, turning to you and nodding thoughtfully, stroking the slight stubble growing on his chin. “You were there. You know him best. Tell us what you think.”

Leon’s mother sneers at you. “The nerve of your tyrant king, keeping innocents locked away under some false pretense no doubt. Mark my words, he will pay if any harm has come to my boy,” she hisses angrily. “Watch what you say around us, mortal.”

You shift uncomfortably, glancing at your mother. “Your son is not what he says. It is true, he killed my father in the woods. But… I do not believe him to be a bad man.”

You wince at the collective gasp that comes from your people. Your king steps away from you, as if you have suddenly caught a strange disease with your words.

“Nevertheless,” he remarks, as if you had never spoken. “If you want your son, you will have to fight for him.”

Whenever something like this has been declared, you have always seen anger flare to life in the opponent’s eyes, making them seem insignificant, not truly something to consider. But it is unsettling, the level looks on their faces.

Leon’s father cocks his head to the side, and you swear that it’s not him anymore, but his son, standing there in front of you, a taunting smile tugging his lips in the opposite directions.

Dinner that night is served with an awkward silence, as your mother’s eyes bore into you across the table, asking the silent question that you don’t wish to answer. Eventually she outright expresses her outrage, slamming her hands down onto the table.

You solemnly watch a blueberry roll down the tablecloth, plopping onto the floor with a sad squishing sound. “Ma, yes, I know. But you told me to be honest!”

“Because I thought I changed your mind,” she seethes, cold heartedly, fingers clenching into fists. You get the feeling she’s itching to mess up your face. “But evidently, I was wrong.”

“You’re the only one who'll never understand,” you mumble, reaching for the glass of juice near you. It seems strangely dark for apple juice, but you must’ve requested something else. Things seem to slip from your thoughts more and more often now, especially when your mom stares at you, looking down at you like you’re just a small child, confused, like it’s all your fault.

“There will be a war,” she calls out as you excuse yourself, storming as quietly as you can away from her, away from the sense of agony that floats around your mother, threatening to infect you as well. “I hope you realize you are the cause.”

Her words echo through your head, thoughts that swirl in a hazy mess, refusing to settle. Your head feels fuzzier than usual, dark shapes dancing at the edges of your vision even with eyes closed tight.

You toss and turn, kicking off sweat-soaked sheets as you abandon your futile attempts at rest, bolting upright, gasping, staring wild-eyed into the inky blackness that fills an area that you can’t see yet.

Dawn’s rosy fingers stretch across the sky, chasing the cotton clouds. Blinking your gummy eyes open, panic sets in when unfamiliar surroundings come into focus.

Rough wooden walls greet your bleary vision, the low ceiling beams dotted with bunches of drying herbs, their aroma lingering in the narrow bars of pale morning light that filter through a small window, doing little to illuminate the single sparse room.

Your frantic mind races to piece together how you've come to be in this place instead of your bedchamber. The last thing you recall is fitful dreams amidst the calm night.

A creak of floorboards causes you to start, snapping your head toward the noise. An old woman stands in the open doorway, regarding you with keen interest.

"Awake at last, are you?" she rasps, hobbling closer. "We’ve been waiting quite a while. Our prince must not know you as well as he thinks, hm?” She winks, the sunkissed skin around her eyes wrinkling. 

Alarm courses through you at her words. “Sorry, what prince?”

She laughs, a loud, booming sound you don’t even begin to expect from such a fragile looking woman. “Why, dearie, you know him quite well!”

Dread replaces the alarm, throbbing in time with your heartbeat as you shakily stand up, feeling faint, sunlight warming your skin quickly. “Are we in the forest?"

“Of course,” the old woman croaks. "The prince entrusted me with overseeing your recovery!” 

Shivering, you clutch your head, images from tortured dreams flickering at the edges of memory. "Recovery? Did he drug me?"

The crone cackles again. "Always straight to the point, that’s our prince! Yes, I've a potion or two up my sleeve. But fear not, it was for your own protection. Forces stir in these woods that seek to threaten the royal line, dear."

Unease coils in your gut like a serpent. "Then I must return at once. My kingdom needs its ruler in these troubled times." You stride for the door on unsteady legs.

”Not the human kingdom, dearie,” she chastises, tugging at your sleeve to maneuver you back to the simple bed. “Our kingdom.”

You pause, confused by her strange words. “Pardon?”

She beams, and for the first time, you feel fear. Her outwardly innocent appearance masks a mad woman, you realize.

“You aren’t too bright, are you? No matter, the princess requires little to no intelligence, yes?”

“Princess?” You frown. “Who’s the princess?”

Her grin grows, revealing crooked, uneven teeth sparkling in the gray dawn. She steps to the side, showing the open door, and the figure leaning against the wall.

“You.”

They have started a war. Fools upon fools sent into the forest, like they’ll find you from mere scouting. The forest is a dangerous place, but how would they know? Locked up behind their walls, deeming it safe, never truly understanding the beauty of nature without seeing it.

Nor its dangers.

“I demand to be sent home,” you say definitively, as if they would ever listen, scuffing your foot on the dirt, smearing it on the gnarled roots of the tree.

“You know I cannot allow that,” Leon murmurs, reaching up into his hair to scruff his already tousled locks, letting them fall back, shadowing his eyes. “I cannot let you go.”

“Can you not hear?”

"Why do you persist in asking when you know my answer must remain the same?" Leon replies, frustration creeping into his tone. "We've had this discussion many times."

"And I will keep having it until you see reason!" you retort. "I don't belong here against my will, lest be your bride." 

Leon sighs heavily. "If it could be different, I swear I would change everything. But fate is cruel, no?" A lopsided smile curves his lips.

"So I'm to be your prisoner forever?" Heat rises in your cheeks at the indignity of belonging to him for eternity. "Keep me locked up here while the rest of the world passes me by?"

"It's not like that and you know it," Leon says, worry lines creasing his brow. He paces a few steps before turning back to you. "I'm responsible for keeping our secrets safe. Forgive me for prioritizing that over your temporary discomfort."  

You bite back a retort, longing to wipe that sadly sympathetic look from his face. Carnations could not hold a melting candle to the flush that dusts his cheeks as he entwines his hands with yours, linking your fingers together.

“I promise I will make your life as perfect as I can,” he vows, sounding as sincere as you’ve ever heard him. Then again, how would you know? You believed him like a fool when he charmed his way through your carefully built fortresses, prodding at your heart like a madman, wanting to love you.

“I will hold you to that,” you mumble, biting your lip. He rests a hand on your chin, and tugs at the bottom of your mouth, gazing down at you with so much adoration it wells up in his peacock feathered eyes, irises the most vibrant shade of rainbow gold.

“You are fated to me,” he whispers against your ear, cupping your neck, hands dipping further down your back. “I should hope that brings you joy. I am still the same man you fell in love with.”

“Was the deception necessary?” you ask quietly. “Why could you not have told me, about my father, or of your true identity?”

“I am no fool,” he sighs against your skin. “I would’ve lost you. How you were when you had to leave me, I assume.”

“Heartbroken,” you admit, leaning back into him, melting into the whole of him, feeling separate from the world while the forest watches you, alone and not all at once.

“Well, it is good you have me to help mend it.”

His grin is the crescent moon that shines so brightly, reflecting off the sheen of sweat coating your skin, eyes the twin stars that sparkle around it.

And if his lips are the moon, and his eyes are the stars, then his mouth…

Oh, his mouth is the vast sky.

You would always recognize those amber eyes, any day, any place, any time because they are the mirror to your own, depths of tar, emotions slowly dragging across the orange liquid, a fossil preserved in time.

And those eyes peer back at you on another nightly stroll, mere hours until the wedding at dawn, irises hidden in the bushes, and Leon doesn’t notice the soft rustling. You wonder how his keen ears have missed it, but perhaps your breathy whispers in them have muted it.

You grit your teeth when he tenses against you, sensing that you are not alone. He keeps an arm barred against your waist, pinning you against the chipped tree trunk as he twists over his shoulder to scan the clearing.

A flower waves goodbye to you, disappearing between the leaves, and some part of you hopes Leon notices it, grabs your hand and rushes away, vanishing into the thick, mysterious forest.

But he doesn’t. His eyes stay fixed on the bushes, trying to make anything out, and you wonder what’s got him so preoccupied, what’s got his mind racing.

The knife, your mother’s voice whispers in your ear, and you can hear it, truly, but Leon doesn’t, so you wonder whether it's true. The leather handle glints in the moonlight, shadowed by his broad frame. 

Your fingers snake around it, and for a few moments you aren’t even aware of your actions until the blade is buried deep into his skin. Warm liquid seeps from the intrusion as you freeze, dragging your eyes up, meeting Leon’s thunder lit eyes.

A broken sigh escapes his lips, through his parted teeth a torrent of ruby cuts off his air supply, sending him stumbling back from you. Instinctively you rub the area he had pressed against so roughly, already losing him.

He reaches out for you, fingers grasping at the air as he falls, however graceful as a little feathered fiend down on the dead foliage, where you had both tread mere hours ago, the bitterness you once felt towards him completely gone as he discussed your future.

Children. A boy, maybe two girls?

An empire. Anything you want, my princess.

Perfectly fine, in your eyes. You love him, don’t you?

But now here he is, lying on decaying foliage, strawberry-blonde locks spread out in a widening splash of red, a crown on his peaceful face. He doesn’t stir.

The air is thick with the earthy scent of damp soil and decaying leaves, mingling with the sweet, faint aroma of blooming honeysuckle nearby, sweet like your mother’s scent as she gathers you in her arms, a caring gesture, but the knife slips from your trembling fingers.

“You’re safe now, don’t worry, you’re with me now,” she coos, a gentle breeze whispered through the trees and past the shell of your too red ears, making the branches sway as if they were dancing at your demise.

And you’ve wished for this so many times over the weeks.

Wished to be back in her arms.

But in some cruel twist of fate, you don’t anymore.

Your eyes are stuck on Leon’s limp body, as it dissolves into feathers, paintbrushes coated in the crimson of his blood, that, just like you, are gathered between the wind’s caring fingers and swept away, just like that.

Your father was killed by his hand.

He was killed by your hand.

So it seems that there has always been a monster in you, too.

How would your mother put it?

A shaky smile spreads across your face as you tug her in further, imaging her voice in your head, just as you had with the knife.

hello! i don't want this ask to come off as mean or targeted at all so please don't take it that way, but i'm confused as to why you're still a my hero fan you don't seem to like the characters or the way that the story is headed, is it just hate watching (uhh,, consuming of media??) at this point? again it's cool if that's what it is, but you talk about the characters like they aren't that in depth, not just bakugou but. the other villains and also izuku too.

you said something about izuku just being happy and content with losing one for all in the new leaks, (in that same post you weren't caught up so i sorta get why you could draw to that conclusion,) but also izuku's character is known for bottling up his emotions.

Izuku's is always happy (even when he's not), the only time we really see him fall apart is his vigilante arc. yes throughout the story he is constantly crying, but again, never in situations that he is really hurt emotionally you know? We get to see his journey and his progress, it's all that he's ever wanted in life, to have a quirk and save people, so when that gets stripped away, he's gonna be a bit gutted no? thats what i think at least. the story started with "this is how i become the worlds greatest hero" but i think it's always been more about what make someone a hero, why people should want to be heros, and their stories behind it. why else create flawed characters like bakugou and shigaraki if not to show all the side of the story?

Like. When I first started reading MHA, I was amazed. It just felt so... refreshing, so unique; I loved how determined and kind Izuku was, I loved how human All Might was, I liked the variety apparent in the world, how rich it felt, all the potential to it. And then, before my eyes, I watched it rot away, so slowly I didn't even realize what was happening until it was already dead.

I miss what MHA was, and so much of this is... mourning, almost, for what was and could have been.

Also, like I said, spite, because I watched this fester before my eyes and honestly I want to call out each and every wound and point of rot on it's corpse, along with some desire for validation in finding people who agree with me.

Not... quite sure what you mean here? I think you mean that I think they're done badly? (And I do, so you're not wrong there.)

Alright, see, so I don't disagree with your logic here: Izuku is a mess. Izuku is a mess held together by lack of time (or not being allowed) to process his shit storm of a life and duty. He's gotten everything taken away from him.

He should be pissed. He should be feel destroyed, depressed.

But the keyword here is 'should'. And that is the problem, in a word. Izuku 'should' be upset. He 'should' be depressed.

But historically, things that 'should' happen regarding Izuku just... don't happen. From his abilities, to his opinion on himself, to other people's views on him... what 'should' happen, logically, just doesn't.

Also... let me pose a question:

Do you think Hori is going to end MHA with Izuku withering away from depression? That his friends, one by one, are going to abandon him, because they only ever really liked his Quirk, that his mom is going to die of disappointment of her useless son, that All Might will get killed by a three year old wielding a balloon? And that he'll die early, and the only one to attend his funeral will be Aizawa, out of obligation, and his entire summery of Izuku's life, and the inscription on his grave, will be 'Problem Child'?

Of course not. (Even though I get the feeling that Hori kind of does want that.) If he tried it, the editors would literally kill him. Less dramatically, they just wouldn't print it and make him rewrite it, because they don't want to fuck up the MHA cash cow at the finish line.

I'm not caught up, yet, but for this? I don't have to be. Stories like shonens follow basic structures, like a sort of skeletal system; you may not know the fine details, but you do know some things will happen. And shonens? They always have happy endings. Always. Even if the MC dies, they'll do it willingly, for a Great Cause(TM), and almost certainly go with a smile, and satisfied with their life choices. If it was a manga like Berserk, it would have been up in the air, because Berserk doesn't follow the same narrative rules, and so how it ends and what not are far more open to question than something like this (ignoring that, yes, Berserk ended too).

Fundamentally, MHA will not end with Izuku miserable. It basiclly can't.

That's why I say he'll be content, because he doesn't really have the time to be miserable before MHA finishes up. At worst, he'll have a brief shown moment of sad, because he reaches acceptance, because he won't be allowed to feel otherwise.

percy ,,, he respected jason eventually. they clashed but they learned how to work through the clashing and fight alongside each other instead of against each other. they had similar yet dif personalities, percy fighting to be listened to while jason had been forced to speak. both leaders, respected, treated like leaders but in dif ways bc of the way their social groups functioned. they both wanted what each other had; percy wanted the stability of new rome, knowing he'd have people that would come back alive every summer. jason wanted the close bonds of camp halfblood without being put into a heavy spotlight

thalia loved him. he was her younger brother, how could she not? she pitied him, tho, from the way he lived in new rome. she knew the life well, being thrown into the spotlight and everything bc she herself was a daughter of zeus (like how chiron and camp treated her, esp if u compare it with how they treated percy after she came back) and hoped he would find a place better. her arms were always open for him but she had another life she wanted to live, too

octavian. pure hatred and jealousy. jason was everything he wanted. he was in leader positions, respected, listened to. octavian thought of him similarly to leo, but without the good bond. he despised jason because he wanted everything jason got just for being born from jupiter. it was unfair, and octavian decided to take advantage when jason disappeared. he wouldnt have another chance to take the spots that belonged to him

beryl damn. she had some love for him. deep down, she knew she did, he was her son. but she couldnt focus on him, she had her life to take. her downfall started with thalia and zeus, jason made it worse. even if he was her son, the little love she had for him was so hard to find. too hard to even try. so, she left him, maybe hoping for a better life for him, or wanting to get rid of him. she knew both reasons were true

hazel and frank and annabeth had similar thoughts about jason. none were really close; hazel and frank looked up to jason like the rest of new rome, but could see him as a person because they actually talked to him. they thought positively about jason, he was friends with all three. even if they werent as close as tlh trio, they still liked jason. how could you not, after a war stuck with them? they think of jason like one does with a friend who used to be close, but grew apart simply because of time. they like him, but theyre not close

You know what- this season is genuinely such a delight at times. Im thinking about adding it to my regular rewatch list along with 1-13 as just like a little bonus I can have at the end cause it’s just such fun. Glorified fanfiction! We love to see it- maybe Restoration sucking was a blessing in disguise cause it really gave me a new appreciation for 15 and 17 (but 17 especially). I probably won’t rewatch 15 as much cause being honest I don’t really enjoy it in its entirety as much as 17 but it’s got good moments I love.

Now- I know the logical thing for me to do is go back and watch 16 and then Restoration but here’s the thing… I don’t want to.

I genuinely do not enjoy those seasons. I don’t want to put myself through something that’s just gonna make me angry and bitter just for the sake of giving commentary on them- not right now anyway. Maybe one day I’ll feel like being a bit salty and do it but that’s just really not how I want to spend my time with my favorite show. I’ve already rewatched any clips from restoration that I cared to rewatch and I don’t think any of my feelings on it are gonna change. And I’ve seen 16 enough times to know my feelings won’t change.

Same anon about shoto dabi. I would 100% light myself on fire with how happy i would be with the premise of shoto making dabi worse??

I just had the vivid vision of shoto topping dabi. Straight up being a very dominant presence. I mean itd be fucked up and probably not safe or sane but thats not what we come here for sometimes XD I could see shoto being rhe daddy dabi never knew he wanted and them deatroying enji together a whole "you're son calls me daddy too" but fucked up(That might be my daddy kink showing tho applogies)

Maybe Shoto making Dabi worse isn't the right phrase for my thoughts about the ship. I would be more interested in Shoto being worse by being with Dabi, but it's happening because he is choosing to make those decisions to be darker, not because Dabi is directly influencing him like that.

My thought for this ship would have Shoto in the dom/top position taking custody of Dabi post the League losing the war and Dabi being left completely alone again and having failed to kill Endeavor, he would be the one who would see how desperate Dabi still was to prove to their father he was better than the trash that he disregarded, and at the same time Shoto would acknowledge that Dabi both hates him for being his replacement and idolizes him for it as well. He would be the one who would choose to push that idolization and obsession to control Dabi, slowly forcing him away from the path of wanton murder and destruction, to proving to Shoto he's his equal. He would train with Dabi (and "train" Dabi) until he's a good pet for him, one that he can keep contained even if it costs him his soul and sanity throughout the process. His birth broke his entire family beyond repair, fixing Dabi is the only way to make it better, and if this is the way he has to do it to maintain control, then he will. He's always done whatever he had to to spite his father before. (And if Dabi cries out for 'Daddy' while they're fucking, then that's fine too. He'll be everything that his brother needs. No one else is going to do it.)

i get he was trying to make her a feminist icon, but he really failed with piper. piper clearly hated femininity and looked down feminine girls AND SHE WAS PROVEN RIGHT because 99% of her enemies (major or minor) were girls that were comfortable with their femininity and rick had her triumph over them every time

rick's favoritism over piper. her charmspeak worked on opponents that it shouldn't have worked on (gaea and khione), every other female character suddenly gets downgraded whenever she's around (drew, aphrodite, annabeth, the entire fucking aphrodite cabin, etc), none of her actual flaws were called out (this is mostly because rick never intended for her internalized misogyny and obsessiveness to be her flaws, they were created by accident and noticed by the readers).... and you get the point

i was SEATED from beginning to end

genuinely one of my favorite performances out of all of them just because of how powerful and visually clean this group was on stage

the beat had me hooked from the start

this man's stage presence is so strong

like with people like yujin and zihao on the team, i can see why that might have been a conscious decision

but making everything so dance focused when it was a dance AND rap stage made it seem like something was lacking

as sub vocalist 3 but main rapper i thought the rap would let him have his time to shine but personally mingyu stole the show

mnet also gave him like 3 whole seconds of exposure throughout the whole performance which may have been another reason why i felt he was the weakest of the 4

genuinely feel like that was a more broadcasting issue than a him issue though which makes me sad :(

overall a really sweet and cute stage that i would defo rewatch whenever i have the time

even with the sub vocalist 1 and sub rapper 1 positions (plus the fact that he didn't get the killing part) i think that he really got the most out of his lines and made the performance his own

the way they changed "why are you cranky boy" to "why are you cranky girl" kind of threw me off though

like let them embrace their inner twink mnet

censoring the chorus of the song also kind of disappointed me cause i felt that it made the song feel less powerful

but i already knew it was coming as bp is meant to be a "family friendly" broadcast (I'm say this in the most sarcastic way possible)

gunwooks rap tho...

the way it was stuck in my head for a solid week is probably really unhealthy but i don't care

the duet that hanbin and hui had while holding each other and making eye contact gave me the absolute chills

they were creating such a powerful atmosphere while also serving killer vocals

and hui's high note after all that left me shook bcs you're telling me this man sang all of that and still had the breath to go into a long, stable highnote!?!?

okay i promise this is the last thing im gonna talk about but the "its neither man nor woman" part left me REELING

the adlibs, the high note, the layering of vocals was all chefs kiss

that was the cherry on top to this whole performance and the second i heard that i knew they would win

every second of this stage was charged with passion and emotion and im living for it

in most of the personal rankings i've seen online this stage has come first

and honestly i get it

its such a refreshing change from all the other performances and it truly feels fun and enjoyable

like i love how every single person got to shine in their own way

the way park hyun been ate UP though

like when i first watched the performance i was so surprised because since when has he been this good at rapping!?!? maybe that's just me tho

him, haruto, and keita definitely carried the rapping for me

I love him sm he's actually such a cutie with his little hat

in fact unpopular opinion but i actually liked the stage aesthetics in general including the outfits

idk what it was but the neon green was hitting real hard (its the inner neo in me)

And the RAPPING oml i had to take a breather after he finished his rap because i was in SHOCK

one of the best self-made raps ive heard, and the flow is just so controled

i'm also in love with his rapping voice in general??? idk what it is but it makes me feel some type of way

defo one of the main stars for me, but i think you all saw that coming because look at him

ollie coming in with his little rap made me so happy cause he's genuinely such a cute

not as strong as the other rappers (and as sub rapper 3 i expected that) but he still made an impact in the performance which i love

now i've saved the best one for last

she's got a point, she's an icon, she's a legend, and she IS the moment

i can't even say his name properly anymore bcs of this

defo the highlight of this performance and one of the main reasons i love it

also the the way that no one was talking about wumuti's vocals?!?!?

his high note when he sang "lights camera action baby" should go into the history books fr

if i had to pick one trainee that owned this song i wouldn't be able to because of how well rounded everyone on this performance was

their teamwork and their overall fun natures just made this stage x10000 better

when i tell you i was SAT for the entirety of this performance you better believe it

the way this performance had so many iconic moments

but then i also remembered how cute he was when he was begging for the killing part and showing off his english to mathew in the behind scenes

like give his man a high five because he ate that up

iconic moment no.2 isn't even part of the performance but i can't leave this out because it's a cannon moment

best believe that my man gyuvin ate that up fr

he spoke the truth and only the truth

also his stage presence throughout the whole song was crazyyyyyyy

literally had to rewatch it again just to focus on him and his facial expressions

and the way that mathew and seo won carried the vocals made me so proud

it wasn't really a vocally powerful song and i feel like it had the same issue as law but instead of not enough emphasis on the rap it was the vocals

but they still tried their best and i think that they did stand out in some ways

now the OUTFITS i have to talk about

these stylists need a raise fr cause the way that the red suits fit the stage so well

but the way that they covered seo won and gyuvin's chest made me giggle a little

overall i would say that its defo not as polished as some of the other performances, but the overall concept and vibe suited all the trainees so much that the execution was bound to be amazing

these are just a few noteworthy moments from the performances i didn't talk about

i need to get this off my chest

cha woongki carried the feel special team on his back

they better have thanked all the gods above that gunwook kicked him out of his first pic otherwise that performance would have been so screwed

the way it felt like a whole solo song just for him because no one else wanted to sing :(

another thing i wanted to talk about was the limousine performance

the way i was shocked by how good it was

they trashed mnet, they ate, and then they left (literally)

i was gonna talk about it but i didn't have the time, so just know that it has a very special place in my heart

special mention number 3 goes to jongwoo

as a rapper being put in a VERY vocally difficult song like home, im so glad that he overcame the difficulties and placed 1st cause he deserves it

his facial expressions never fail to get me every time

i also think he's such an amazing leader and deserves credit for that

might be a little biased though cause he's one of my favorite boys planet trainees
