Eleceed Redesign Pt 2

Hi, I’m back to be annoying with my headcanons again. I rlly should be studying. Again, this is for FUNNNN I ain't fixing shit it's more like how I would draw them.

I also redesigned the bestie crew so look at that too after this one teehee.

Starting off with the one who doesn’t even look like the same person.

I noticed this webcomic rlly likes to repeat hairstyles, I mean Jiyoung has the same hair as Lia and Iseul has the same thing just short.

I have not though about how Jiyoung would get the scar on her chest, but all I know is that at one point she had a phase like Jisuk and that's how she got it. Instead of seeing it as ugly tho I want her to think of it as a badge of honour.

I do not care if her outfit is inconvenient she looks cool af.

The white streak in her hair was because of Jisuk, I didn't think that far after that I just wanted them to kinda match.

I like the think she also has a rebellious streak but she's better at hiding it.

I actually don't mind Kayden and Kartein's designs, I just made some changes based on some adjustments I would make.

I made his ass built like a Dorito cause body shape is also included in silhouette which is important for character design :)

based on what I said about Jiwoo's clothes in my last post I decided to make it a reality. My friend also told me I should have a button on his shirt holding on for dear life.

Messier hair because he a heads and shoulders 4 in 1 type of guy. Also it helps sell his personality more at first glance.

His black outfit is base on the SOLIDER uniform from FF7, I didn't really have any ideas so it's' in the works. I kept the monochrome black palette for now since it goes so well with Kartein but I'll change that later.

Ear piercings just because.

Yes, Kartein makeup is for everyone. I didn't change much about him either

I gave him short hair because I couldn't think up a good long hair style for him. Also, half slicked back hair because it makes him look fancy.

Gay Earring because he got his hair slicked back, it may be a gift from a certain someone considering how simple it is.

Monochrome white for him still! Like Kayden, I want to make more outfits where he has more colour.

his mole is only there bc I like it when characters have it there and there was also a stray line art marking I couldn't find the layer of and was too lazy to find it.

a little pendant tie thing because I think it looks cool and again may be from a certain someone

I noticed that Kayden and Kartein would be hard to tell apart if it was only their silhouettes and no black and white contrast to the suit and coat along with hair change help with telling them apart.

A fanfic may be in order, but that will be after I crawl out of exam hell. Also, I am well aware some of these designs would be HELL to draw for a webcomic, don't take it seriously lol.

Powers

youd never guess. but when i first watched through LMK i didnt care for Nezha. not rlly. I always thought he was cool and had a nice design but I didnt really care much for him. But i ALWAYS thought his powers and abilitys were so cool. maybe its my bias for pink characters and powers (i also have a bias for blue) but when i needed a character to do some fighting in my fic i snatched Nezha. and ever since i started writing him i couldnt stop. So honestly i gotta put his cool lookin powers as #1 since its what initially hooked me onto his character. both canon and other power HC's i have.

2. His personality PSA: Im not saying any of this is canon. these are my headcanons.

I love canon Nezha dont get me wrong, but im a little biased to my headcanons. well- more then a little XP. I ADORE sassy traumatized fucked up little guys. LMK Nezha is already sassy as hell, as he should be. he's soooooo traumatized if you read into his mythology. and he's also so POWERFUL.

it's just something about characters who are mainly known for being powerful and unstoppable. a force to be reckoned with. but eventually it's revealed this 'unstopable persona' is actually just a mask they've built. They are no doubt very powerful. but one of the reasons people are so scared of them is bc they've built the reputation so no one hurts them anymore. Nearly always on the defensive and holding their emotions inside so thy don't get hurt anymore. But like we saw in the s3 special with MK can still be gentle and kind.

not only that, but needs that kind of kindness and acceptance in his life. Needs a family that will accept all aspects of him. The good and the bad.

TS Nezha is a hurt kid. Traumatized and honestly kinda lonely. Because there's very few people that know the real him. Even if he trusts other people, there's no guarantee that they will accept the real him without the mask he's created. Kin moment.

that and the fact its very easy to shove him into a found family.

also Autism representation in my HC's. I'm Autistic, and some of his traits are just me projecting my Autism onto him.

3. His white hair.

My favorite lore bit about Nezha is not something a lot of people know about him. In the translation of Investiture of the Gods I own it says he was born with white hair.

4. His Design Theres a reason ive only minorly changed his design in my headcanons. Overall i ADORE it. Again im probably biased because of all the pink but I love characters like him. He's got some traditionaly feminine design choices. at least traditionally in the west (Pink, Long hair, the bottom of his armor looks like a skirt). It's very gender. and he's just cute overall. his design is so much fun to draw and my version is even more fun.

Honestly. The guys got my gender. Masc, but confident in wearing some feminine things. He just seems like the kind of guy who'd like wearing dresses and keeping his hair long, but still masc nonetheless. Breaking gender norms as he should.

5. His dynamics with other characters.

I love writing him interacting with other characters. He just clashes so well with the other characters when i write him in my AU's. both positively and negatively. I love writing him in angst, i love writing him in fluff. I just. love putting this guy into situations XD.

his relationship with his found family in tangled star is SO MUCH FUN to write. traumatized little guy who trusts no one but the people he's closest with. and even they are still getting him to open up.

thats...honestly the best way i can describe my top five things about nezha. its hard to explain why i like him and i was just tempted to write

The Details of Genderbend Naoya Au:

Just a collection of my thought process and ramblings about this collection of drawings to scratch the itch in my brain.

General ramblings:

This is not a fleshed out au. There isn't much of a storyline and I don't exactly know if I will ever make one.

The au doesn't follow the jjk canon apart from some general things like Toji leaving Megumi and Tsumiki etc.

The ‘story’ follows Naoya Zenin after an accident that should have killed him instead leaves him unscathed. That is, until he wakes up the next day with a girl's body, a kogane companion, and the ability to see strange creatures (cursed spirits) and people who should have been long dead.

Bro is basically now part of a culling game-esque event involving people who were saved from death like him, those who died long ago and were resurrected, and creatures that should have never entered the living realm. Some people such as him with bad karma for their actions, are given certain handicaps and/or punishments when they're brought back from death. Hence girl-Naoya.

But, by destroying the souls of beings with even more bad karma than you, you can gain points that will give you access to abilities (cursed techniques) or lessen your own punishment or handicap.

The Kogane function the same here as they do in canon.

Basically, this is me drawing fem Naoya with a bunch of extra steps 💀

Drawing one:

A lot of the ‘story’ of this au just happened randomly as I was doodling, Kenjaku and Takaba running Naoya over being part of that.

I wanted to draw Naoya reacting to him becoming a girl for the shits and giggle, yk, the sillies

And before I knew it I had Naoya getting run over by a truck 💀

The reason Takaba is the driver is because of that one scene in Kenjaku vs Takaba, Kenjaku is in the passenger's seat just because.

There is no reason as to what they're singing besides me wanting them to have been distracted by something goofy 

You might have noticed Naoya is holding something. Idk what it is though 

Its like….a wand…a club…? It's based off his first form as a cursed spirit, the one where he looks like a worm

Yes, his shirt does indeed say “why women deserve less”. It's based on that one fanart of him reading a book with the same title. 

Drawing two:

The first thing I thought of when I imagined Naoya going on a ‘quest’ to become a man again was that ant carrying a bindle.

(It gives pathetic energy, which i enjoy giving my Naoya drawings)

This is actually my first time drawing Hana, I actually like drawing her

I'm so sorry to people who like Nobara and Maki, I can't draw them that well 😭😭😭

I'm thinking Hana/Angel are trying to fix whatever is going on with the souls of the deceased/players, and are thus gathering allies (though they also want to defeat a certain king of curses even in this au as well 👀)

Naoya ends up joining her, Maki, and Nobara as allies (no one is happy about this)

They will put him in his place, especially Maki.

(I wonder what would happen if he met Yuki…)

Naoya and Hana is a combination I didn't think I'd ever draw interacting tbh 💀

But for some reason that's what ended up happening

Other thoughts:

It's so cute how the kogane have different designs sometimes based on who they belong to. It reminds me of the crows in kny.

I wonder if they're meant to represent something about each player???

For example, the one we see with Naoya when we're first introduced to his curse form has a skull like face, which we later see on Naoya's second curse form.

I rlly wanted it to be his companion in this au

Honestly, I was thinking Naoya upon turning into a girl would try everything he could to make himself look more traditionally masculine

ok still not able to draw turts rn but i am gettin a bit of th fixation back so heres some rise headcanons;

donnie is average at best at video games but will play them for hours (the purple game was designed for him so im gonna say that it was specifically designed so he could beat it) meanwhile leo is cracked at games but will get distracted and switch between like 8 games within half an hour

mikey will often serve food for his brothers at different stages during the cooking process to accommodate their sensory issues and allergies, raph and him are usually the only ones who eat the "fully completed" recipe

raph hates cooked vegetables and thinks all vegetables should be crunchy as god intended. he has also eaten an entire watermelon in one bite before (with great difficulty)

leo and donnie convinced mikey that freddy fazbear was real when they were little but splinter made them apologize after mikey had a nightmare abt him appearing in the sewers and cried to raph abt it. donnie initially refused to apologize because "thats stupid the water down here would mess up his circuits" but mikey cried again and he felt rlly bad abt it

leo got into medicine because of april, one time when they were kids playing in the sewers she fell and scraped her knee and since she was like idk 6 and 6yr olds are stupid she started wailing and was like "the poopy water down here is gonna infect my cut and then theyre gonna cut my leg off and i wont be able to see you guys EVER AGAIN" nd leos like. WHAT!!!! just wholeheartedly believes her and donnies in the corner trying not to throw up. she was fine she just went home and washed it and got a bandaid but th turts were so scared bc she was like a day or two late to their usual playdate nd they thought she died. leo asked for "healing books" on his next birthday

mikey saw ppl getting duct taped to the wall online nd thought it was so cool he asked raph to do it but they had to have him face against the wall to not harm his shell and halfway thru he was like "this suck actually let me out" nd raph was like "no lol" nd left him up there for a while

leo fully believes quicksand is a common problem he will have to face

they would film their own "youtube videos" as kids bc they wanted to join in on the whole youtuber craze but didnt post them anywhere for obvious reasons. april had a great time showing them to jr post-movie despite all their embarrassment

they tried the ice bucket challenge on mikey and he almost went into brumation

donnie thought spongebob was real as a little kid and was super mad at splinter for like a day when he told him it wasnt

mikey will climb on top of raphs tail and have him drag him along (alligator tail raph real) raph will sometimes swish his tail and mikey has to hold on for dear life

Insektober day 12: Mystery!

Kaboche tries to read Sherlock Holmes to Kretinus, but he passes out after a few chapters. Unity, however, is eager to hear the end of the story even though she's read it 10 times before!

If you remember, Unity is the former librarian of Krud City and a ghost inhabiting it in the present day. She talks to Kruds who care for the library and make offerings to her! Most Kruds are so careless with the books and shelves, but Kaboche is at least decently respectful. He likes to visit the library during his lunch break and even keeps a mini fridge in there for snacks of his. He offers them to Unity, but she can't actually eat them since she's a ghost and it'd go right through her! But she is flattered by the gesture.

I dunno if Kretinus can see her, but I'm sure Unity's happy to see her nephew again regardless! I think he would like to try to talk to her but often doesn't have the time... today's failed book club session not withstanding LOL. Related, Synapse and Kurkulie can't see Unity either!

Also I slightly revised Unity's design since the last time you saw her! I switched her color scheme around so now her face is darker and her eyes have brighter highlights to better reflect actual Boll weevils. I'm also RLLY tempted to draw her with pompoms on her shoes to match her eyelashes (which are meant to resemble cotton balls cuz boll weevils eat cotton) but I honestly worry it'll make her look too much like a clown LOL. Maybe I should just lean into it at this point smh... Boll Weevils are pretty funny. they have their own monument and everything!!

I dont think Kretinus likes Sherlock Holmes much. Maybe they should introduce him to BBC's version of the story... LOL! just kidding I never watched that shit lmao

hk doesnt try to Explore mus trauma but she does eventually have an Oh moment when she realizes mu doesnt have . a home and lets her onto her spaceship . mu upon processing shese safe immediately blacks out from the 5 illnesses exhaustion injuries broken bones poisonings hunger and other ailments she was fighting. it takes like 5seconds she suddenly starts complaining abt pain and then is just Out for the next day

the island she comes from was... Cut Off from the rest of the world but they were actually rlly safe / well developed and understood things like How To Not Be Racist, How To Actually Support Queer People, How To Avoid Capitalism, etc and wouldve probably been recognized for being so much better than the rest of the world had they gotten the chance to interact

holding her around her midsection / shoulders is a HUGE trigger ie shell start screaming/struggling/biting + having another flashback and it takes her a while to even get used to being lifted/held at all bc thats how she was handled when she watched her mothers die

alot of what could b seen as anger / aggression from her is probably just stress

she has rlly bad mentalities around showing what she considers weakness, so she restrains emotions alot and has issues trusting / opening up around others . when she does finally learn to she probably cries alot tho

shese horribly growthstunted and underweight and absolutely wolfs down food when given the opportunity . literally growling and glaring at any1 that comes near like theyre going to take it away

she makes little mrrps and trills like a kitty :) its an autism thing . her species can aslo purr and she does it VIOLENTLY when she feels safe

her species has little webs hiding in their hands / under their arms that come out in water, their clothing is designed to compensate this + its waterproof so no need to change to go underwater

hks species and mus species are immune and the island bird populations have developed enough of a resistance to Not Die to it but mus venom is dangerous enough that if she decides to fullon Bite u u should just accept ur death bc theres NO surviving that

she and hk eventually reach a siblings relationship which means alot of roughhousing but 1 of the main markers of that developing is mu stumbling across hks pillowfort by accident and her first decision is to knock down the bookshelf in there . hk is furious and makes mu fix it, mus losing it the entire time

mu actually sleeps in the pillow pile and sometimes hk and bow join her there

she artist . bc it turns out living on a colonized island with basically nothing to do except struggle to survive is actually incredibly understimulating so she copes through the magical power of doodle and ends up with an excessively overdeveloped artstyle for someone of her age . poorer quality art are rage doodles

she doesnt . know swear words but she desparately wants to and goes feral whenever hk or bow drops 1

she thinks amogus is the funniest thing and by that i mean she literally loses the ability to breathe whenever its brought up. shese literally curled up in2 a ball not even able to move and nobody can figure out why. she hears abt jermasus and is literally covering the spaceship in 2am rage doodle drawings of it for the next week

anyway in conclusion heres something i randomly thought of creating regarding the teeth headcanon . make of it what you will

Your art is so cool, got any tips on getting better at it?

Continually practice and force yourself to learn stuff until you get to the point where you can say “ah yes i like this”

JKJK thank you!! onestly i dont even rlly know how i got to this point with my art gfhjfhfd but i do have a few tips!!

Remember, references are always good! Especially if you wanna draw a certain pose or if you need help imagining what the background for a pic should look like. If you’re ever struggling with a pose, I like to search up poses of irl photos (or you can ever take a pic of yourself doing said pose) and trace them until I feel comfortable drawing it on my own! (reminder, DONT TRACE OTHER PEOPLE’S ART. idk just feel i need to say this ;; not to you anon but as a bit of a disclaimer, just use irl photos or even stock photos) References or simply screenshots of, let’s say a character, are also rlly helpful in this instance too. Using multiple screenshots can sorta help you understand their character a bit, or for me at least. (w/ spinel, i like looking at poses of her stretching to sorta get a feel of how i should draw her when i wanna draw her doing something similar!)

Practice is RLLY RLLY IMPORTANT. This may sound weird, but I actually drew spinel a TON in my sketch books to sorta help me figure out how her base structure works. I continued to draw her over and over again until i was happy w/ how i drew her! Even then though, I continued to experiment w/ my own style.

Speaking of, experimenting is rlly rlly good for art! This goes as far as trying out new styles, using art materials you wouldn’t normally use, and just testing your art elements. For example, I usually use the pen feature in sai when I draw but recently I’ve been using the brush feature and found out i actually like using that to draw a lot more! Experimenting is useful when you wanna explore more of your art. It’s also good to experiment w/ expressions too! (also off topic, but apparently when i draw, i make the face of what im drawing dkfjgfk most of the time though apparently when im rlly into a drawing, i look like an angry baby, as told by my lil bro)

Sketching daily helps too! Having a sketchbook on hand and kinda just drawing whatever comes to mind i feel likes helps your creative process or at least lets you sorta get that drawing feeling out when ya need to! :]  

A lot of the time I also sorta sketch designs and mess around w/ what I can create. Even if I never end up using the designs, they’re more for practice rather than me creating a new character. 

Also remember, if you don’t know how to finish something, you can always come back to it later! I have a lot of unfinished sketches of ideas that at the time, I didn’t know how to finish, but eventually came back to w/ an idea! :o

Design choices and other notes under the cut,,

Sonic

Kept all of his original clothing choices, the gloves the shoes.  Only thing i really thought About otherwise was the yellow lines there are the strings of a necklace, a callback to Sonic Underground since that was my only reference for the sonic franchise up until the fandub aha. pretty simple design otherwise.

Tails

A little bit hate this one but that’s okay. There’s just a lot of orange and yellow which is not an enjoyable colour pallet in large doses for me. He is small,,, because hes like,, 8?? hes just a baby,,, the vest and shorts were made to mimic Sonic’s. because,, sidekick,,, idol,, He really only has the scarf to mimic his two tails because i couldn't figure out what else to do. Of course kept the normal shoes and gloves.

Amy

Very simple, easy, Her quills were easy to make hair, and since she and all the girls always have full outfits i didn't have to try and make something up,,, very easy thank you Amy

Shadow

An emo bastard whom i love. Only clothes I kept where his shoes really. His gloves were kept for the most bard but I made they finger less because its what he deserves,,, Made the chest fluff into a bandanna because im always a slut fro bandannas like how sexy of you Shadow wrow. Other than that, maybe leather jacket?? ist fro sure a jacket!! and jeans, all blackish/ dark greys  because he has an aesthetic man. He also has a gun just cuz,, heels also,,

Silver

Okay this bitch fucked me up more then he should have considering hes the reason i wanted to do this in the first place?? I gave him long hair in a ponytail n stuff because 1, to replicate his longer quills than the others and 2, its what we all deserve don’t at me.  Don’t even question me on the blue lipstick i just felt it was necessary fro some reason. His chest fluff is replicated by the fur collar of his outfit. I kept his gloves (?) and the neon blue pattern throughout it. I know I got the boots from one of his designs but i’m not exactly sure which one? the tailcoat was very self indulgent cuz i like tailcoats and Silver is a kinda fancy future boy in my head so y’know. All in all, Silver was entirely self indulgent in design,, Also heels,,

Blaze

Blaze, again like Amy and most female characters, are fully dressed typically so No  changes to the outfit. Her hair was kinda a bitch just cuz i  couldn't conceptualize it for some reason. I also just gave her earrings to match the lips and shoes and dot. Shes pretty simple deign wise

Rouge

Rouge, back at it again with the easy given female outfits,,, Gonna be honest don’t rlly remember why i gave the collar piece and straps, maybe just to make the mini cap not look as out of place?? the cap itself was meant as a stand in for her wings. Her hair was a joy, her ears were just so big i had to make something of them and thus buns,, The earring was entirely a choice i made, since i think she also has a thing with the emeralds that like ,, a thing?? idk lore that much aah i’m still learning. All in all she is a babe tho 

Knuckles

His hair felt very much like it needed to be dread?? So there dreads?? that’s all on that matter. TBH the lil crescent on his chest threw me for a loom but i just decide to put it on his shirt like a design.good ol tank top, to show off the gun show. kept his gloves and shoes. the cargo pants just felt very appropriate i don’t actually know why just felt right

Queen Aleena

Very easy gal!! She has so much clothe on her original design!! Her crown was a little bit of a nightmare mostly because of her awful hair i just couldn't figure it out but i managed, aha. She looks pretty by like her normal design tbh

Last easy gal design!! My babe from underground!! Her outfit was just ripped straight fro her original design since its all encompassing, i have her some earrings because she deserves it, and I kept her longer hair (?) but she has a little bit of an undercut i think is what that is?? yeah, a babe!!

Manic,,, Is the only one I was bold enough to actually not put a shirt on,, literally because hes kinda a trash baby?? And he wouldn't care that much??
