You liked the message there because what if the conversation just didn’t go well? What if she was reaching out to complain about your fans ? or what if…well just

You checked the time and then your phone.Depending on where she lived you either were about to respond way too early or way too late and that mattered to you a lot because you needed to have excuses made accordingly for he lack of responding

“she is at the gym” or “she’s probably asleep”

“heyyyy :)” you typed the response and stared at it for a hard minute. Was it childish? no it was fine, it seemed friendly

you erased it and typed a “hi :)”

you erased it again and typed a “heyy” and pressed send before you could overthink that as well. Your eyes were glued on the screen and you almost forgot to blink. After a few minutes you exited the convo and pretended you were busy re-organizing the furniture in your living room and sweeping the surface of the coffee table. Your phone pinged and you lunged yourself on the couch grabbing it and looking at who texted you

you typed annoyed and she sent a crying face with a series of messages complaining about how much of a bully you were. You opened your ps4 and decided to continue playing valhalla

your fingers started to twitch and you kept clenching your jaw and gritting your teeth stressed. You needed a distraction so in the spur of the moment you posted a story announcing you would be doing a casual stream playing valhalla in 30 minutes and went to roll a blunt while preparing everything.

you checked your phone one last time to see that your message was still left unopened and you feared it would stay that way.

“fuck snap out of it” you whispered rubbing your temples and taking one last slow drag. You carefully put the blunt on your moon shaped ashtray and left it on the living room along with your phone which was on mute.

You did your makeup and checked yourself ok the monitor a couple of times making sure everything looked right from every angle and looked at the mirror at the side of your computer checking your posture and how the clothes you chose sat on you.

You went for the disheveled look with a baggy T and sweat’s structured in a way that looked messy. You would never admit that this carefree “breezy” look took you a good few hours to perfect

you finally turned on your stream and waited for the majority of people to tune in “Hey everyone!”

you greeted them and started reading through the comments while discreetly checking yourself in the viewfinder so that your jaw stayed sharp and your hair in tact

“Hi nice to have you back Grim!” you tried to engage in longer conversations with names you saw pop up frequently in your streams and 20 minutes in you sat back and went to open your game

“alright I don’t have much time today but I thought we could hang out while I go do some tasks in valhalla. I wanna clear out some regions”

you went back and forth from your game screen to your chat occasionally replying but mostly reacting to the game

“Oh that Eivor figure ? Yes so as much as I want it I just can’t justify a purchase like that yet…But hey its on my wishlist so I owe a date to anyone who gets it for me” you said with a soft chuckle and then paused the game to throw out a disclaimer

“seriously though don’t- I, I mean sure do that if you want to but I know kost of you are college students so please don’t throw your money on me in such a way ok?” you said and checked the chat with a soft smile. A big chunk of your crowd was very sweet saying that they wanted to get you something from your wishlist and you entertained them while also reminding them to be responsible with their money

truthfully you made enough from this job and while your wishlist was open you didn’t have the necessity to ask people for gifts unless they started the conversation first

The stream was nice and slow without much happening till out of nowhere you started hearing more and more often the “subscribed to your channel” notification and started getting confused

“My god, welcome but where are all of you coming from?” you asked genuinely confused and saw the chat interacting with another favored figure. Favored by you and by your overlapping audience

staygrounded69: So this is the game you recommended. Looks interesting

Your ears were burning and your hands started to shake. You pretending to be reading, not trusting yourself to speak without stuttering. Abby, Abigail fucking Anderson was watching your stream

“Oh look whos here! Id tell you all to greet Abs but I'm sure most of you somehow found me through her today” you awkwardly said and went back to the game. Someone shamelessly sent a superchat with a voice note

“Abby should dress up as Eivor. She has the muscles” and your eyes widened at the image of that.

“That's a nice idea but she should play the game and see if she even likes it in the first place guys”

you could almost here her, hell you could almost picture the way she would say that and it did nothing to calm your nerves so in a rush you tried to end the stream feigning sleep taking over you and saying a bold lie that you had early classes tomorrow.

Once you logged out you turned off your pc and sat on your chair for a good few minutes breathing in and out thinking back to what had just happened

this was impossible. How? Why? no back to how. Actually why is better

You jumped off your chair and ran to the living room remembering the message. Sure enough there was a notification from the woman herself. Multiple actually

You took a good look at the image and your eyes stayed fixed on the corner of the pic where you could see her cropped frame showing only her spread legs in those mouth watering gray sweatpants

you went back to the messages

you answered and cringed at how formal and distant your response seemed

And of course I hope you actually enjoyed my stream

you waited and waited and a few minutes later you saw the sent turn into seen and the three dots appeared of her typing and deleting her message

no please don’t judge it by my stream today! its so much more than the shitty little quests I did today

you rushed to send the message, your passion overclouding your judgment and throwing your plans on the mysterious flirting out of the fucking window

You wanted to double text and divert the conversation to something else so that it would keep going but didn’t know how and felt that perhaps, that would’ve been a little more ambitious of you. After all she did only text you about the game in the first place

While you weren’t surprised about it but was a bit crestfallen, the conversation ended there with Abby leaving you on seen

the next two days you obsessively waited for her to post a photo, which she didn’t and waited for a story which there was none and eventually with your friends help you shoved your phone in your bag and tried to get over it

It helped that you had a fat stack of assignments to work through for the week so you buried your head in fabrics and threads and tried to finish the project that was given.

a suit, which meant one inch sewn too far and the thing would be loose and crooked. You used once again yourself as a model for the costume since dragging your friends away from their work and studies didn’t sit well with you. Besides, anyone would be bored of having to sit and wait for you to stitch ,measure, sew, tell them to get up, make them put it on and then do all of that fifty times over till you got the piece right.

Cassie did insist she would love doing that for you given that she had the time but you still refused.

You would love to eventually have an actual model for your end of year fashion show but until then You'd just have to do.

By Friday everything was fixed and wrapped ready to be presented. You were waiting in line as all of you presented your work to the professor and she took her time studying each student's work. You had already tried the suit on and had taken photos to have proof that the measurements were correct both on you and on the doll that you used so you weren't too worried about it.

You had posted the photos on your profile unsure of how they would go since you felt like no one would care enough about things unrelated to the games you play.

“You did a good job. This Fabric though, Why did you choose it?”

your throat was dry and your nerves on edge

“I wanted the extra effect and felt velvet would look good on some parts”

“I see. Try to add extra effect when you learn how to do the basics first, alright?”

You wanted to cry but just gave a curt nod, put the suit back in the bag and went to the back of the class waiting for the short examination to end. This week had a banging start and a Godawful end and you couldn’t wait to go home and sleep it off. You checked the time. one more class and then you were free

In between lectures you decided to head to the cafeteria to see if there was anything left to snack on besides protein bars that tasted like dust or chips which, of course there wasn’t. Kitchen was open only in the early hours which left all of you who had afternoon-night classes to starve and figure it out on your own. With a sigh you went to the guy and asked for a coffee

“I want-“

“Iced latte, sugar and hazelnut syrup. Don’t worry I remember the type of cake you get in your espresso”

you chuckled and leaned against the counter scrolling leisurely through your feed not bothering to check the likes or comments yet

“long week?”

“yeah and I had project presentation too”

You were checking everyone's stories eventually landing on Ellies and had to double check making sure you weren’t mistaken or too sleep deprived to see well. She has shared your post of you wearing your velvet crimson suit. A deep V cut suit and she boldly left a little note at the corner

“just?” The barista asked passing you, your coffee which you barely heard, too confused on how she even found you. Making the immediate and only reasonable connection you checked Abby's feed. She had shared your photo a few hours before ellie did and she left a little comment of her own. Way more specific and catered to you making your stomach do a backflip

Your knees were weak and you started to feel nauseous. You took a seat at the counter looking up at the barista

Thankfully the cafeteria had few people left. two girls at the far east corner on their computers and a guy on the other end of the counter listening to music on his phone and taking notes.

You sent the screenshots to your groupchat. after 10 minutes of being left on “delivered” You spammed them with different meaningless messages to get their attention. Cassie was the first to cave in

June: They are both in seattle so I guess she's moving locally

Cassie: Seattle is 1,000€ away from our country so not really

You laughed, feeling a little better trying to ignore the obvious set for failure that any of this flirting was considering that indeed, Abby lived too far

once you reached the bus stop you opened your phone again and went to your chat

Man she was shameless and you leaving her on read for 20 minutes did nothing to make her falter. You could definitely get behind this attitude. It was expected that someone so timid and shy would probably have a nastier side and you really wanted to find out to what extent that went

1. who is the better cook?

him for sure, although neither of us are too big of a fan of cooking. i think he just tolerates it more than i do, although i do think there are some recipes he legitimately enjoys

2. who takes longer showers?

me. idk if its the adhd but i tend to forget how much time i spend in there and before i know it, he has to poke his head into the bathroom as a passive aggressive way of telling me that i stole all the hot water 😭

3. who is more organized?

him for sure. a point of contention with us is that i'm way too messy and it drives him through the roof. some boundaries had to be established and while it still makes him grumpy sometimes, he respects my space

4. who generally spends more money?

neither? technically me because if i get fixated on something, i'll tend to impulse shop but usually limit it to small-ish things or wait until they're on sale! he likes buying specialty teas and coffees and sometimes those can get kinda pricey, so i think we roughly break even

5. who likes sleeping in more?

hmm. i think this is difficult to answer because we both suffer from pretty bad insomnia. i think if it's who ends up sleeping in for longer, it's me. i'm the type that'll take like 4-5 hours to fall asleep but i can stay asleep once the sun rises (which is incredibly annoying) his insomnia is the type where he can get shut-eye for like 20 minutes at a time, which usually translates to him getting out of bed as soon as the sun starts to rise regardless of if he slept or not

6. who is the better driver?

im a passenger princess (✿◡‿◡) but also because driving gives me anxiety because i've gotten into accidents before, so he just does it for me, so it's levi for sure

7. who is the most stubborn?

hard to say. i think me. he usually gives in first because he gets way too irritated and is just like "whatever".

8. who is the most romantic?

neither 👁️👄👁️ at least not in the traditional sense. maybe me because i'm a sucker for romantic sunset walks (✿◡‿◡) but also him because sometimes he'll leave cute little notes around the house for me and it makes me melt (i have a little collection of them :3)

9. who is more laid back?

me. i think he's overall more extra or particular than i am. and this isn't in regards to him needing clean spaces. that's fine. i'm talking about the extra amount of work he constantly puts into every little thing, especially when it comes to house projects or even picking out toys for the cats. whereas i'm just kinda like...as long as it's not doing harm, convenience is king

10. who is more likely to ask for directions?

me. and it's a silly reason. like yes, i'm directionally confused a lot but i think levi would want to just. wander around and hope we get unlost and i'm not interested in doing that.

11. who is the blanket hog?

also me 😅 i get very fitful when my insomnia acts up, which usually translates into me wanting to hug something (why, you ask? no idea), whether it's him, a pillow, my plushie, or (in most cases), the blanket.

12. who is more likely to lose their phone?

him. he's technologically confused, which translates him to just not really using his phone unless he has to. it also means he's shit at answering texts on time >:(

him because i was too shy 😅 i still thought it was some kind of joke as to why he was even interested in me, so i never really made a move.

hard to say. probably me since i was crushing on him forever, but he was the one that reached out and started stuff soooooo who knows

MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR THE BATMAN MOVIE!!!

- the way they did good old eddy was so interesting?? like he still had that flair and pizazz thats important for Gorham villains, but it was done in such a different way than the early batman comics. like, it was in more of an unhinged way than a fun way and I don't know whether I like it or not, but it certainly fits with wb's whole edgy superhero thing. also the way that he was painted as a villain but not evil?? gorgeous show stopping incredible

- the parachute scene was so fucking funny like look at this stupid fuck dressed like a bat

- batman showing up out of nowhere and scaring the shit out of people was also really funny

- I knew it wouldn't happen, but while he was giving his whole I am the shadows speech at the beginning I half expected him to go like "im not in every shadow. but my kids are" and then nightwing or red hood or someone steps into frame and beats the shit out of the criminal or something

- bruce doing his own smudgy eye-liner before going out as bats and listening to emo music while bat-manning are both cannon

- selina calling Wayne Pet names!!! im qm melting also I love her and zoe kravitz played her so well omg

- the penguin bringing the drama. this man single-handedly made this movie funny AND more interesting he was literally so good I loved it

- the jokers cameo at the end and the second chances thing sets up the next movie perfectly!! the next joker seems so much better than Jared leto so I'm excited

- the set-up with nygma and "second chances" and batman needing a guiding light is a perfect way to introduce recently orphaned dick grayson!!! the parallels between him and riddler!! the parallels between him and Bruce!!! it's so good!!!

- Alfred's rougher english accent was an interesting point, and it made me laugh but im not sure how good of a choice it was. Alfred always had that certain degree of class and high level education, does that get lost with the accent?? I'm really not sure

- on the topic of Alfred, I absolutely love how he was able to have a personality!!! like, he was passive aggressive and made snide remarks and had emotions and secrets, which he hasn't gotten in any other movies so im glad to see that aspect of the comics coming through

- the cinematography in this movie was fucking gorgeous, but I think they sacrificed the plot for it? It was a bit difficult to follow at times and the pacing was a little bit strange, but I really liked a lot of scenes and I can't get them out of my head. specifically, the shot of batman leading the gothamites out of the flood like an avenging angel??? incredible

- the fact that there were more shirtless rpats scenes than there were sexy zoe kravitz scenes was kinda funny to me ngl

Thank you for reblogging that post regarding the "write more". I always get nervous when it comments to comment a story at this point because I struggle to express (as im not good with words) the author how amazing they did and how incredible the story is. Now the additional stress of "am I offending the author by saying this" doesn't help either. I thought that write more is an encouraging to the writers work and not a deman. Makes you just wanna gives kudos and stay silent.

Thank you for having the courage to send me an ask, anon! I really appreciate you speaking up about your feelings on this. 

I totally get that you get nervous when writing a comment on a story, especially if you’re not a native speaker or if you struggle with online communication in general; it’s hard, after all! You lack facial expressions, a tone, anything that can tell the person you’re writing to how your words should be interpreted, apart from, of course, the actual words itself. 

And it also makes me incredibly sad that you get nervous. I get it, and I’m sure you’re not the only one; I have felt the same way myself, especially when commenting on works of people I didn’t know. Which is why I’m really happy that you send me this ask, because I hope it shows other people out there that they’re not alone either. 

But it makes me sad for exactly that reason you indicated; if I, as a reader, get so stressed about leaving a comment because I might unintentionally offend the author, why would I do something more than giving kudos? And I could go on a rant here about “Well, as authors, do you know how much stress we go through to write and publish a chapter?” in return, but that doesn’t really solve the problem, it’s just shifting blame and trying to decide who’s entitled to what. 

Because as an author, I feel this is a huge problem, because if too many readers start to feel this way instead of simply being enthusiastic to show their support, the comment count will naturally go down, and interaction within a fandom with it, and once we’ve entered such a negative spiral, it’ll take a lot of effort to get out of it. 

Then the question of course, is, how can we solve the problem? How can we ensure that the fandom is a space in which readers can comment in a relaxed way, and authors will still feel happy to receive those comments? 

I wish I knew the answer. But I don’t. I know that I, as an individual author, can do my best to communicate what I think is okay and what isn’t. And I consider myself quite hard to offend, so I welcome whatever comment I can get. But I know there are others who don’t feel the same way, such as with the “write more!” example, and I can’t speak for them, of course. 

In general, from a reader side, I think just reading your comment out loud once before you send it is smart, to see if you got the tone right. Adding a smiley or a GIF can hugely help with tone too! Apart from that, unless authors have indicated that they are sensitive to certain things, don’t worry too much about it. Comment because you think it’s fun. Comment because you love what we do. Comment because it makes you happy, and way more often than not it will make an author happy to. 

From the author side - which I have more experience with, and this is something I consistently do myself, I think it’s very important to assume comments are sent in good faith, and without negative intent. Because sometimes you’re going to get those comments of which you’re not sure how to interpret them. This can be for several reasons, such as the comment being short, being written by someone who doesn’t have the mastery of English a native does (I am a non-native speaker myself so I can relate), or being vague for any other reason. 

Sometimes, in these cases, it’s very easy to assume that this reader is being negative, or passive-aggressive. An example I’ve gotten myself was a reader simply commenting “interesting”. There are a thousand ways you could read the tone of that single world, from sarcastic, to passive-aggressive, to many other negative connotations. At this point, I believe that how you choose to interpret that comment is a choice. You have no other hints than the word itself, after all. And I thoroughly believe that for the sake of my own mood and for how we deal with each other in fandom and the assumptions we make about each other, choosing to interpret such a comment as positive is the right one to make. 

I assume people are here to enjoy themselves. I assume people post and comment in good faith. So this person, to me, commented “interesting” because they simply thought the story was interesting. If my interpretation was right, it kept me in a good mood, and I didn’t make unjust assumptions about this commenter. If my interpretation was wrong, I am quite unlikely to find out, at least for the time being, so I still stay in a good mood and I didn’t drag myself nor the commenter into an online discussion. I’d say it’s a win either way. 

Of course, sometimes you get comments that cross a line, but still, in this case, I try to assume people didn’t mean to be as rude as they sounded (there are exceptions, of course, if someone is outright calling you names, for instance), and calmly respond to them. Again, I try not to assume overly negative intent. 

I’d really like to hear you guys’ thoughts on this as well, as I think it’s a very interesting discussion and a very big issue for fandom if readers and creators - it extends to art etc as well, of course - become afraid, or nervous beyond ‘oh, you’re so cool, I’m starstruck!’ to interact with each other. 

And hence I believe that assuming negative intent or negative responses, from either side, is one of the most costly and often most unfair things we can do to each other.

I dunno, call me old school–and I know I’m gonna piss someone off with this opinion, but I can’t stand serious top/bottom discourse lmao, especially when it’s taken seriously and especially for lesbian or wlw relationships. It’s so simplistic and…. male-orientated? (To me it’s almost as bad as the “So, which one of you is the man?” thing.) 

I’ll try to keep it light for that reason! (Also, I’m pretty sure you, Anon, are not looking for a deep and serious discussion, heh.) To me, they’re both vers, although Serena enjoys giving a little more than receiving, which works cos June likes getting rather than giving, slightly more as well (and lbr, she deserves it). But I don’t see any sort of binary, dichotomous, permanent situation. They switch it up, whenever it feels good or depending on if they have something they want to ~prove. (Well, that’s how I write them in fic.) That’s my take. Cos that’s just my take in general life. (I’m not going to get into it tbh.)

I mean in a more casual way, in a not-taking-this-as-serious-discourse thing, as in power dynamics in bed, I think you’d be right that Serena thinks she’s in charge of things lol, but really, it’s June. When is June not really in charge? ;)  (Serena seems to like to believe she has a lot more power than she really does all-around, and then is always being reminded about how limited she is, ha.) I think to me anyway, it wouldn’t be so much that one is exceptionally more dominant than the other, and it wouldn’t be something always set in stone, yanno? And there’s more than one way to be dominant in sex rather than such simple passivity/aggression dynamics. 

I think in general June has more power over Serena than the other way around. Serena’s sway over June is merely situational. (ie. If they weren’t in Gilead, Serena would have no ability to do anything to affect June. So, she resorts to physical domination and using the tools of her master/slave privilege to give herself any sort of control over June. If they met pre-Gilead, there’s no way Serena would have a chance in Hell of holding much sway over her. Except possibly in intimacy, which is where they are seemingly a little more flexible.) Generally speaking, both personality-wise and emotionally, June clearly has the upperhand on Serena throughout the entire series, and Serena for all her pomp and arrogance, easily bends when she wants to. 

(Not to go on about 2x06 AGAIN (it’s my fav ep?) but that was a very different Serena there. Easily acquiesced to June, without any visible resentment even(!). [The smoothie/soup issue, for example.] Serena was playing house for the majority of that episode and doing everything she could to please June. Obvs there’s more to it, cos she has entitlement to June’s body AND the baby, and she’s obsessed with all that so her “caring” is also entitlement, possessiveness,  perversely living vicariously through June, and also just giving her something “important” to actually do for once (Girl is bored af lbr). My monkey brain likes to look at it more generously, and fantastically however. Ooh, what a lovely, kind, and doting wife Serena would be to her baby mama.) 

This is also why I’m pissed off about what the show has done in S3 by pitting them against each other like it has. As “equals” or at least allies, their relationship is even more fascinating and complex. The precarious balances of power, the way they interact when stripped of the false power structure of Gilead, how they relate to each other as women on a fundamental level, the emotions and psychological implications of that shift in power dynamics, etc. GODDAMMIT, THT.

Anyway. I know you’re all saying, it’s not that deep, fam. I know, I know. This top/bottom stuff is just a funtime joke and here I am taking things WAY too seriously AGAIN. 

If you look at their sexual encounters in canon, both women are dominant in bed/sex with men, as well as non-sexually. Some may even call them somewhat sexually aggressive. (More similarities!!!) I thought this was understandable for June, of course, but a nice surprise for Serena. Like, if you took her from the outside, you’d assume traditional gender roles (aka she’s submissive to her husband, despite her personality being very much NOT this way, but she plays roles she feels necessary)–but she is very much the dominant party in her encounters with Fred in flashbacks. She initiates, she insists, she tops him easily. (In Gilead in 1x06, she has to wait for him to come to her, cos Gilead just be like that… but she’s still in charge (and technically she’s the one that initiated in 1x05, and tried to give him a blowjob when he couldn’t get it up). Which of course makes it super easy for him to blame her afterwards for his lust for June and his “sinfulness”. GOD I HATE FRED SFM YOU HAVE NO IDEA but I digress.)

I gotta say I love how June in her first time with Luke is flat out “I like to be on top.” Straight up, girl. She gets what she wants, how she wants. And again with Nick, she takes the lead. *Lucille Bluth GOOD FOR HER.jpg* (Which is part of the reason their sex in… 2x02, 03? Was so distasteful for me to watch. It just didn’t seem very June, and it just… you know, I’m not even going to get into that here cos it’s really complicated and I don’t wanna waste my breath talking about Nick and how gross he is, lmao.)

hey guys we need to disarm the voltron fandom before season 5 because the toxic shipping environment has seeped into every aspect of this goddamn show and should literally any ship become canon it will fucking implode.

my thoughts are right under the cut:

honestly i don’t want any ships canon because honestly if there are ships it could ruin the show for me and not because of the pairing. y’all know i go hard for klance each and every day, but you should also know that i aggressively support other shippings and pairings too because i think everyone should be able to have their fun! that’s what a fandom is all about, harmless fun over a fictional story. the problem is everyone (and i do mean everyone) gets so wrapped up in shipping. i’ve met very few people who actually are neutral (meaning that though they have ships they genuinely do not give a fuck) about ships. no matter what becomes canon people are going to be upset. everyone’s getting their hopes up and they’ll be crushed and angry when it doesn’t work out. the of course the shippers of those that did become canon will get super gloating and just awful to everyone. 

yeah, i ship klance, but honestly i would probably be upset if that ship became canon. sure, a part of me wants it to be, but really i know that the reaction would be absolutely awful on all fucking sides of the fandom. first you have shippers rubbing it other shippers faces. then you have the shippers of other ships getting super upset that their ships weren’t canon and would say ‘oh the company caved to pressure!’ bitch no, as stated earlier the show’s been written out prior to all this so you can’t use that excuse. anyways, even if klance happened in such a way that was plausible in the story and respectful to other ships and characters, i wouldn’t really be happy.

btw, the above applies to literally any ship in the fandom. no matter what becomes canon there will be two sides, those who think they won and those who think they lost. nobody in this fandom is mature enough to understand that it literally doesn’t matter. everybody is just gathering for war, even those who claim they aren’t are really just... passive aggressively supplying the funds from behind the scenes. this fandom is set up to implode if a ship becomes canon.

‘oh but jules! that means you win!’ no it doesn’t! so many people in this fandom now view shipping as a competition. if your side ships your ship the most and the hardest it will happen and that’s not fucking true and it’s super disrespectful for people to imply that when the writers have had the show mapped out long before we were even aware there was a reboot. hell, people in all shipping circles have already come to view their ship as the canon truth and honestly it’s been pissing me off.

Okay so he got pissy at a YouTuber called JoySparkleBS, because her videos showed up before his videos on the search results. He proceeded to go by video titles instead of watching the videos.

He made a video (which as June 22nd, 2017) he deleted (Ill get to that in a bit) telling her to either debate him or he was gonna sue. He says in the fucking video “I’m gonna make you cry.”**

Her response was: “Sue me” (he was making an empty threat guys) so they’re going talking about which platform they’re gonna do it on. Joy says her YouTube live, with a Mod (Fellow YouTuber: Jeff Holiday) and they’re gonna do it for charity. Onision says it’s on Lainey’s YouNow because Lainey is the victim of harassment or something. Joy does a live stream (which I watched all the way through the 6 hour live stream, it was freaking crazy) and in the first couple hours she watches the now deleted video.

So debate time: June 20th, 2017, 3 central. At 2:30, Jeff and Joy start their charity stream. Onision is on Lainey’s YouNow. JaclynGlenn and Richie (Social Repose) get on for a little bit (around 5 minutes) and tease Onision. Around 3:30 (I think) Jeff guests on Onision’s stream. Jeff is calm and trying to come up with ways to fix the sitiuation to be fair.

Onision is somewhat calm but he looks to his phone and says “Oh…my spouse says you’re a hater.” and Jeff tries to explain about a stream he had with Blaire White and AndyWarski and MrRepizion. Onision decides because Jeff is a “hater” that he isn’t gonna listen. He pokes at Jeff until Jeff fucking explodes. (Jeff has made a video correcting Onision’s video “Why you don’t debate Onision” go watch Jeff’s video. It’s a pretty great video)

Onision demands for Joy to come on. When Joy eventually comes on his stream he tries to call her all sorts of names. His “debate” with Joy (who fucking killed. You go girl) ends pretty quickly (about 30 minutes of Joy holding her own and Onision either calling her names or trying to deflect the situation) He brings on Lainey.

I’m not gonna lie. I really liked Lainey. I thought they were very respectful if not nervous. They end their conversation peaceful (or so we thought DUN DUN DUNNNNN)

Joy starts her after debate stream. She invites Jeff and Sarah, a former roommate (I’m pretty sure that’s what she was) of Onision and Lainey. Sarah takes up for Onision and Lainey (but mainly Onision bc Lainey wasn’t really into all this drama).

And then Lauren comes on. For like 10 minutes she’s trying to start shit up. Jeff mutes her and Lauren leaves. This stream is about 5 hours long. Meanwhile Lainey is having a stream on YouNow where they start being passive aggressive. “Oh Joy was nice and said I was pretty like that’s manipulation.” No Lainey, that’s what adults do. You can dislike someone and still act kind to them. I’m younger than you and I know that.

Onision made like this poorly edited version of the “debate” where he tried to make Joy and Jeff look bad.

To Anyone: He lied to you. That was lying. Editing it make it look like something happened when it didn’t. I’m not saying to hate Onision either. Just know that was lie.

This has turned into a fucking feud between a man who has millions of subs and a channel with a 51k and counting.

Onision keeps threatening to call the cops btw. Its ridiculous. This internet drama come on now.

**Okay so Onision’s video “Dear Stalker” in which he demands the debate has been deleted to suite the narrative that Onision is the victim. That’s fucking bullshit so right now I’m considering it fuckin lost media.

All in all: Internet drama is fucking stupid but my ass is enjoying seeing it unfold.

Update: July 1st 1. I was looking over some of the stuff Onision has said about his military experiences. I asked my uncle who is in the Air Force (not giving out rank. Loose Lips Sink Ships but he's been in the Air Force for almost 15-16 years.) Me: "Hey I have a question for Uncle: If you refused to do outdoor survival training would they allow you to still be an active member of the Air Force? (I.e. Have a gun, be deployed, etc)" He responded (since he and my aunt share a Facebook page) with that he doesn't really know if that survival training is done or had been done but it would be for career training but if someone were to refuse one of the obstacles or tasks, they would be in "trouble". He finished it up by saying that he had never heard of it and had never been order to do any dangerous tasks. I also asked my dad who had Military training and a good friend who was in the Marines. My friend that is in the Marines said he had something similar during boot camp and my dad said he had never heard of it. 2. Okay so Onision is copyrighting a butt tone of videos as they use his name in the title. I don't know how many there are right at this moment (I think it's up to 16). There's some debate to people saying that it isn't him but like a computer system because one video had been up for about 15 minutes before it was claimed. I have no idea. I don't actually think he has the time. Maybe he does, I have no idea. 3. I heard he deleted a bunch of videos but I don't know. I can't tell. He might have but there's no way to tell unless you religiously watch and save his videos.

On Why I Left the YGO Fandom

I was going to put this under a cut, but read more’s never do what they’re supposed to do on my page, so I’m forced to leave it as-is if I want to post it at all. Apologies in advance because it’s a very, veeeery long post and contains abusive experience and behaviors. And the url of my abuser (I left his accomplice out because she’s a fucking whiny bitch and would manage to yet again verbally attack me for once again putting this fat fuck’s name out there as an abuser).

So, as promised, I finally got my thoughts collected and I guess?? Somewhat organized?? On what’s been plaguing me for several months now. I know I’m basically beating a dead horse because, by now, I should be over this (because god forbid something happen to me that actually affected me long-term, I’m just being dramatic for attention, right?) but this is something I feel needs to be addressed, for my own peace of mind. So, no better time than the present I suppose.

It’s probably far from obvious, but I’ve been part of the ygo fandom for a decent while - 2011-ish? I watched the original as a kid, but was reintroduced by my now-ex through the abridged series. Along the way I’ve been blessed to meet some fantastic people, no doubt. People I wish didn’t have to see this kind of bullshit coming from me. But some of those people turned out to be…anything but fantastic.

I’m tired of not naming names, out of fear of being accused yet again of starting a witch hunt (since apparently that’s something people reaaaallly like to do these days whenever you have a problem with a nasty creep they consider their best bud and refuse to hear your side of the story) but it’s to the point where I really don’t care what happens. I’m not popular in the fandom, so it isn’t like what I say matters.

There are two-faced, evil people in this fandom and all I wanted (and still want) to do is protect others from ending up in the same situations that I found myself in.

I’m the victim of two long years of mental/emotional abuse and manipulation. My abuser is someone a lot of people probably know of, if not know well, especially those of you from the Chicago area part of the fandom. He does (or did, idk now that it’s airing Wednesdays) livestreams of new episodes. He is an enormous, loud-mouthed pervert and not-yet-convicted pedophile. He enjoys reading, writing, defending, and sharing child porn. He is narcissistic, so deeply in love with pleasuring himself (both literally and figuratively) and taking nobody’s wants and needs into consideration but his own. He is a chronic gaslighter. He fetishizes wlw and objectifies women in general (like any typical misogynistic slob). He think no means yes, and “stay away from me, I don’t want to talk to you” means “please keep trying to contact me, I actually do want to talk, I’m just being silly uwu.” He is someone whose actions have been defended by people who think “he’s just dense” instead of an abuser. His actions and the actions of those who love and adore him are ignored or justified by people who are obviously as like-minded as he is. And he hides behind the ruse of being an all out card game whiz and aficionado so people will never know what he does behind closed doors.

He goes by voices/of/chaos (slashes on purpose, btw), and I know it’s going to either be a surprise or sound like a lie because of how well liked he is here.

Primarily, he’s the reason I’ve made this choice. Him and the people who, despite knowing the kind of shit he’s done to me, still refuse to acknowledge him as the abuser that he is and choose to stand by him and support his actions. The same people are people I thought - and really, truly had hoped - were my friends, people I poured my heart and soul into and let my faith rest upon. Instead, I was given that trust back and basically told to choke on it.

It started when I’d asked to be part of the ygo panel he runs at acen. I thought it would be fitting, with how passionate I was at the time about the latter spinoffs and about things in general. However, I was told flat-out that I was “not good enough” to be on HIS panel because of my biases toward certain series and dislike of others (biases and dislikes he and I shared, mind you). Basically, because I’ve never seen gx and don’t like dm, my knowledge base was not adequate to host a panel. Yet, his gf, who now hates ygo and is stongly biased about certain series (like me), who sits up there pouting, angry, drunk (she was last year, anyway) in complete and utter silence, is definitely qualified for the job. Ok. Sure. That sounds about right. He refused to see how ridiculous the situation was (he was told this by more than just me, for the record) and instead accused me of only wanting a discounted badge - “I can’t give discounted badges to just anyone” emphasis on anyone. That was a low-fucking-blow and was the single thing that made it impossible for me to ever forgive him.

Of course, that was a more recent issue. Going back to the start, our friendship started off with me being almost duped into a poly relationship without my consent or knowledge. I was told they were breaking up and that she knew about it. I was told it was ok. That she was ok with it. What I wasn’t told was that no, they weren’t breaking up, she didn’t know what he was doing, and that his plans were to date me while he dated -and lived with- her. I didn’t find out any of that until way after the fact. To top it off, he went behind her back to try to accomplish this (she was on vacation at the time). I was then blamed for their relationship problems (that existed years before me), for making her hate ygo, for ruining their relationship, and so on and so on. He made sure to tell me this constantly, telling me my name was a ‘trigger’ for her. So now I’m a homewrecking bitch for ruining their 7+ year relationship.

And despite all of this, he actually fantasized (his words exactly, I shit you not) about me and his gf bonding over our ‘hate’ towards him. Like, excuse me? Back the fuck up mate.

If I had a nickel for every time he told me how “important” I was to him, I’d have millions in the bank. But for as much as I was told I was important, I never actually believed him. Our friendship was kept a secret online. No interactions on any social media, up until the end where he got very childish and asinine about it, and then those were only meant to shut me up. I’d asked hundreds of times to at least be tagged in things, at least mentioned half as much as he talked about the other girls in his life. He never listened. I continued to be a secret.

When confronting him on my feelings (because he only ever talked about his feelings) I was always met with rage, destructive anger, denial, unnecessary profanities being hurled my way, utter disrespect. One can only take that shit for so long. Being told how you changed someone’s life for the better in one breath, then being shit on and screamed at and told you’re not good enough in the next, being kept a secret, being denied any sort of important places or duties that he bestowed upon his other girls.

In the end, I was told I was making it all up. “I don’t know where the fuck you’re getting this.” “You must be messed up in the head.” I was told I just hated him and wanted him to suffer. Everything that went wrong became my fault and my fault alone. Actions once considered ‘gross’ and ‘awful’ by someone I considered a friend were now just a result of him being dense. DENSE. Because knowingly fucking with my head, saying I’m messed up in the head, yeah that’s just the density speaking. How didn’t I think of that before??!!

This friend put herself between us, on her own accord, then acted as if I asked her to do it. She claimed she didn’t want to speak to either of us for a while. Of course that actually meant just me because she had no problem joining him for the stupid movie that came out in January or being up his ass on the chat that Sunday. Sure, the movie was pre-planned, but at least try not to make it obvious you’re only upset at me by making sure he’s in the pictures you posted.

I was told I upset her because I ‘guilt-tripped’ her with fears of abandonment. My hands were slapped for daring to upset her, but when I mentioned how bullshit it was to see her out having a good ol’ time with the fat fuck, my concerns were passed off as nothing. As always, my needs and concerns must be pushed aside for everyone else’s.

When I finally got sick and fucking tired of him, I asked him to leave me along and to not speak to me, ever again. Funny, that was followed up by half a dozen messages all lovey-dovey (and passive-aggressive, toward the end). I thought he would have stopped after I didn’t answer the first few. But his persistence (or should I say d e n s i t y ) was incredible. Each message got sappier and sappier. The last one, though, was bitter and angry, after I once again told him to leave me alone for good. “I thought talking to me would be better than talking to no one.”

A few weeks go by. I begin to tell my story. Tell what happened. I’m accused of starting a witch hunt by someone who once tried to help me. She threatened to leave the chat - which stirred the pot big time, everyone freaked out. I threatened to leave, no one gave a fuck. So, yet again, I was made out to be the big bad guy because I upset the ygo princess by talking about the guy who abused me to the point of exhaustion. I didn’t threaten him. I didn’t ask people to go out and attack him. I was simply sharing my experiences with people who genuinely wanted to know what had happened. All it took was one wailing princess to change everyone’s demeanor.

So I did what I should’ve done after this all happened in the first place - I left. Told everyone they could have their safe space back that I was accused of ruining. And ever since, I really haven’t been too emotionally invested in anything ygo.

These people took something that once felt like a niche I belonged in, and made it hostile and unwelcoming. They say the ygo fandom is a fandom full of mentally ill people who are finding solace in something wonderful. For a while, I believed that. I know better now.

For every person that is genuine in that fandom, there’s ten others who are shitty, who make other fans fucking miserable. I was abused, my spirit beaten and broken, and all I got was several kicks in the ass and everyone turning their heads away from it all. This fandom is toxic. This fandom is littered with people who manipulate and abuse and puke their social justice bullshit over something that’s supposed to be enjoyable. It’s a fandom where popular people are exempt from being called out on shitty behavior. Where if you have enough followers, enough of a fanbase, you’re immortal. I can’t change that. The only thing I can do is remove myself and go somewhere that I consider a safe space. And this fandom isn’t it.

There are…exceptions, of course. Those characters I fell in love with prior to this shit hitting the fan are characters that will forever mean the world to me. Characters who I don’t have to associate with these people. I’m pretty sure there’s only one, but one is enough. He’s been my safe space, my heaven, the one thing that for six years hasn’t changed and has always been there for me.

But the rest? Y’all can have it. I don’t want any part of it anymore. All thanks to two rotten ass people who can’t even admit to their own wrongdoings.

As a final note to those of you who I continue to follow here, I promise you aren’t the ones at fault. If anything, you’re the ones who have kept me grounded. I’m going to continue following you guys regardless of my feelings toward the fandom. Thank you for being decent human beings. I couldn’t ask any more of you.
