How do you think Alec would have handled getting the Valkyrie treatment? Being made into a puppet in the same way that he did to other people, his sacrificial suicide being subverted by another cape who uses people as tools but in a much more complete and permanent sense, coming back wrong and having his cape identity irrevocably a part of his body and self, and no longer being able to take off the mask, is this anything?

see i've rotated this extensively in my mind before because i think coming up with how a cape's design would turn out if they got glastig uained is a really fun exercise (do that shit to lisa for some Fun eyeball body horror!!) but i'm struggling to come up with what would happen to alec :( the most obvious answer is the crown becoming like. Attached. to his head. but id ont know if that's too far out there. there's also the concept of having his face frozen in a permanent smirking expression but i feel like that would go Too tragically counter to the point of a 'surprise hes back again' au wherein he would be expected to. yknow. realize and experience some of his feelings again at some point. so yeah i'd need someone else to help me figure that one out.

anyway the actual experience of being glastig uained. if i recall correctly in ward brian says it was basically just like waking up feeling like everything from before he died was just a few days ago not Years ago so i don't think alec would care that much that someone was using his ghost or whatever for shit while he was dead, relative 2 all the other problems in his life. wouldnt even notice with the type of shit hes got going on. the big reason why this au doesn't really work is that it's just Wildly Unproductively Depressing. it seems like ciara only starts bringing random people back by the time aisha is like. what. 20?

it works Fine and Actually Thematically Interesting Well that brian is like oh FUCK youve GROWN UP when he gets back because it's relevant 2 their sibling dynamics. but it does. it does not work if alec gets back and aisha is like 20. it's just depressing. from alec's PoV it would be "congrats you've been brought back into a world where your best and only friend is too old and character-developmented for you to actually have a close connection with even though for you it feels like she was still your age only a few days ago and also your fucking shit ass siblings are here too and btw the world ended so all of the nice luxuries you were enjoying previously are not options anymore. go feed the earth gimel sheep boy." and from aisha's perspective her best friend would be back but in a monkeys paw way where he did not get to grow up with her and he's still little and sad and fucked up and more like one of his siblings that she's caring for/trying to help vs the equal best friendship she Wants but Can't Have because he is Fifteen. so now everything sucks and is sad for everyone involved. :(.

i would say "on the 'up'side this is a hot new contender for scenarios wherein lisa could feasibly decide alec is her new sopping wet fixer-upper" but she already has an even more absurd and unstable option (that one cop) so as usual alec remains background. btw he would be offended on taylors behalf that lisa had replaced taylor with victoria (who he does not like because shes annoying) and entirely oblivious that taylor had ever thought or said anything about him being sucks and utterly lacking in interiority. AUs that have potential to be funny wrt alec's interactions with the other undersiders but are wildly fucking depressing when you get to his interactions with aisha.

if we fudge a bit and say ciara brings him back like riiight after gold morning aisha would only be a bit over a year older than him so that's more doable in terms of character development and eventual reconnection but it'd still be a mess. i'm not articulating my explanation of how aisha's character development works rn and i don't feel like saying something wrong so i'll just leave it here but trust me it'd still be a mess. maybe an interesting one but a mess

Hi I love your mods! I want to start doing projects and improving my sims 3 game. The first project I want to start is taking all the cc cars I have from fresh prince and give them the features and animations of the fixer upper car so it can be more realistic and sims can actually sit in the cars and then eventually I want to see if I can change the sims 3 cars code and so we can drive in the driveway and exit of the driveway like use the sims 2 car animations. But my question is I know there’s a script mod where someone added the scripts of the fixer upper car to all the base games cars so I have the scripts and stuff and I have that mod downloaded, and I can easily add it to all the cc cars. But where do I begin for animating like where do I start learning how to create pie menu interactions all that like you? You’re a big inspiration for me btw. And If my projects all work out I’ll definitely share it on Mod the sims or my tumblr. I even want to also ask permission from quack games and modify the third permission mod and see if I can make a first person mod from it and have it toggle between both first and third person. Sort of like gta. Thanks again for creating these awesome mods.

Having TS2 style cars in TS3 is definitely something I've thought about (and I'm sure a lot of others as well). It's actually on my list of mods I'd like to do but so far down my WIP list so I'm glad to hear that you're going to tackle it. It's a lot of work but it can be done!

As for how to animate cars. There's not a lot of tutorials out there but I learned how to do custom object rigs just from looking at the game files of other animated objects in S3pe and seeing how MLOD files are set up and how they link to mesh parts (groups, vertices, joints, etc). So I would start there. Having basic Milkshape and Blender knowledge will help. Cars are technically already animated objects but of course, not like in TS2 but that also means the amount of custom anims you'd need to do is basically the doors, hood, trunk which are basic X rotation, hinge-like animations so it's not advanced stuff.

Also TS2 has a ton of in-game and cc cars with all the object animations you'd need so I would also export some TS2 car meshes into Milkshape or Blender and look at how they work. There's actually a lot of TS3 cars that cc creators have converted to TS2 that you could just convert back. (I say "just", it'd be a lot of work but it's totally doable!)

MTS has a ton of great tutorials here. Good luck and keep us posted on the project! I need my Vehicle Enthusiasts to actually have something to live for. 😉

jonas/nico/jack anon here again.... god i feel like i have to put on a suit to pitch this idea bc it's just so..... it's been sitting in a (very long) note on my phone for WEEKS bc i'm too scared to give it Actual Document Privileges(tm). canon-vaguely-compliant... jonas and nico have been fucking around for a while and are just starting to figure things out between themselves. jack has been (checks notes) an absolute idiot and has been flirting with his captain hopelessly for years.... and somewhere along the line started to get feelings for jonas too and now he's confused. PLOT TWIST this is all from jonas' pov bc he can see that jack's rookie year puppy crush on nico has blossomed into something so real it hurts, and nico's too far down in his captaincy denial hole to realize that he likes jack back. jonas, while being the sole non-idiot here, has to play fixer upper with half of the devs leadership so no one explodes and he's so endeared by the idiocy of the other two it's sweet. there's this one scene that i have bouncing around that kind of started all this.... picture this: early in the morning, jonas stayed over at nico's bc nico hates sending jonas home after they have sex, and nico's phone rings. it's jack. nico's been stressed recently and jonas wants him to sleep, so he picks it up, pulling on clothes as he answers. jack's very clearly not having a good time (jonas has noticed that he's seemed a little off recently but hasn't known how to approach it), so jonas does what he does best: comforts a number one draft pick on the devils. jack comes over and just cuddles with jonas on the couch and talks about everything that's been bothering him (he misses his brothers, he misses ty, he's getting assists but he can't seem to score a goal for the life of him). jonas realizes, somewhere in here, three very important things. 1) the fact that jack and nico have been dancing around whatever tension is between them for so long is finally getting to jack's head. 2) fuck jack likes jonas too, doesn't he? jack's heart was always too big to hold love for just one person. and 3) jonas finds he doesn’t mind being seduced by little americans with smiles almost as big as their ego. jonas wants to talk those through with jack, to give him some reassurance.... then nico walks out of the bedroom, half naked and clearly well-fucked. jack connects the dots and does the very mature thing by running away immediately. jonas and nico talk some things out, have a very pensive and thoughts-of-jack driven round of early morning sex, and then get ready for the day, etc, etc. okay look my note on this is STUPID long and my beta needs a break from my usual bullshit, so sorry for dumping all of this on you, but i also figured you might understand the (clenches fist) visceral amounts of FEELING these three give me. i hope this was at least somewhat coherent lmao? tl;dr jonas is jack and nico's support system so they can all go out and support the rest of the team and i need to write this for the sake of my own emotional comfort. hope you have a wonderful day <3

They are alrite as much as they can be. It's quite normalish where they live. One of their cows had a lil babe the other day, which is cute yet completely useless information. Beside that ye know, it's mostly shit. Tho every time there's suspicious fire in Crimea, we do cheer. everyone does I think.

My uncle is alrite too. He been working all his life in telecoms so they put him for that too, best use for everyone mainly cuz they do need specialists more than anything. He's not telling us much but he mostly does fixer/uppers apparently. Been home twice since March. My mom went to visit too to see him. Grandma wanted to got too but it was so hot that mom was too scared to take her. They had the worst fucking fight over it.

I *may* have started a 100 Baby Challenge Save. o.o

I almost promise you I won’t make it very far, but I felt inspired enough to try anyway. X) Toddlers/toddlerhood is my least favourite part of the sims, so this might be my worst idea ever.

Here’s my founder, Deanna Grey (Active, family-oriented, romantic), and her new home, a fantastic overgrown cabin in Willow Creek made by the amazing @suanin89​, and can be downloaded here or on the Gallery. :) So it’ll be a combination 100 Baby Challenge/Fixer Upper type thing, I guess… oi.

Deanna takes a moment to take in her new “home”. She looks pretty excited, despite the horrible state of the place…

The first thing she does is fix up the fridge so she can cook her first meal. An aspiring baby-momma needs her energy! (Oh god, what have I done.)

She then takes a quick look at this side room and decides it’ll make a great “office”.

She sets up a table and chair for the computer she found in a garbage bin a couple blocks away. Thankfully the computer works… barely.

Next she’ll start on honing her writing skill, buying a bed, and maybe going man hunting? 🤨 We’ll see!

I’m playing this on a copy of my Velasquez Legacy save file, so there may be some familiar faces that pop up. That being said, I can’t guarantee I’ll update this with any regularity, I started it mostly on a whim so updates may be sparse or not-at-all. ^^;

(Btw, If you want to send me some sperm donors please feel free to do so, I’m gonna need them! Male, female, NB, trans, etc. whichever are all good!)

I live in an apartment so I sadly do not have a garden. I do have two struggling pothos plants though! The second one is from the first one that my cat destroyed (he ripped off the piece and chewed it up and left it in the bathtub like he does with all the other plants I had) but I was able to save them. I did also have an aloe Vera plant in which he destroyed

I do want a garden! I live in Utah though so I wouldn't be able to have a mango tree which I think is quite rude but then again I hate hate hate the heat and humidity. I think I would like a peach tree or cherry tree if I did get my own house but I don't see that happening as the economy is absolute shit and it isn't looking like it's getting better any time soon. The average fixer upper that is $85-100K is now $300K

So unless I get a $3 raise with my boyfriend getting a $4 raise, I do not see me ever having a garden

hi anon. I’ave heard but not read but I got the cliff notes version of what people have been saying. You’re the 4th person to flag the chatter to me. Thank you for feeling like you needed to inform me. It’s a bit weird that there is a whole group chat occurring about my personal life and trying to uncover personal details about me or head-canoning those details but I can’t really control others ya know? However this highlights one thing which is I was right not to expose personal details about myself on the blog because the one time I have which was celebrating closing on my apt people weaponized an achievement that I consider a milestone in my life and something that anyone should be rightfully proud of to ridicule me and assume things about my life that aren’t even remotely true. 

So all I gotta say to this. Ladies especially those who are woc dragging me or inciting a conversation that seeks to uncover personal details about me (to do what exactly with? Dox me?) or generate presumptions about my life. You have never even had a conversation with me.  What are you doing?? Also every time I hear a brown/black sister is buying property, getting promoted in a job, buying herself a pair of boobs, botox or hair extensions, or generally just making boss moves maybe lets not sit there as women and call those women liars, lacking dignity or tearing into them for their age (or making passive comments that imply I did some shady shit on the side to garner things ). I didn’t I worked really hard for the last few years in grueling jobs that almost broke me to be able to save up to buy a place and even then because my generation has been so screwed over by unrealistic housing prices I could only do it because a pandemic collapsed the NY market and my father helped me out greatly. I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own because sadly the game is rigged against us. Especially single women of color who strive to succeed.  Also folks I am not 40 years old am in my early 30′s (and damn well proud of it!) but if I was 40 what would be the issue? 

Last thing, its a shame this has happened because let me tell you there is some wonderful women in their late 20′s and early 30′s in the tag (not publicly). There is a doctor, an attorney, a teacher, a marketing exec and an array of really funny well educated women who just use tumblr as a form of decompression(oh and they own homes too btw) because in the working adult world women are always expected to be on and you cant really ever just be your fun silly self without getting judged or exploiting a vulnerability. So sadly this occurrences makes me and probably those other women not really want to exchange thoughts in fear of getting Doxed or called a liar or judged. Its a shame because women should all collectively aim at creating spaces in where we can exchange thought. Whether it be: “Hey, you mentioned you get laser whats it like am curious?” or “Am applying into grad school and you went there right? can you read my essay see what you think?” or “Hey am queer and you’re pretty open about having alot of sexual partners from different genders?What kind of protection do you use with different gendered partners to prevent from STI, STDS?”. These are all questions I was always open to answering but now I just feel like I have to close myself off and that really sucks and also I love your guys support too. 

For example I was gonna make a whole side blog detailing my whole renovation adventure for my new place(it a complete dump a total  fixer upper fyi). A light hearted comical  side blog being like “oh so your a single girl who is going to attempt to renovate without past experience and no man!!”. Read my blog detailing everything you should not do because I did it! hahahaha. I thought it would be a cute journey to share with you guys but now its like okay. Well i guess I cant because am paranoid if I show you to much of my building your just gonna dox me. Like this sucks and am honestly really bummed about this because I wanted to share this with you guys. Plus you could help me pick out wall paint or kitchen hardware and it just be a fun light hearted thing. Anyhow..... I know these people talking about me are the few not the many and trust me I know how many wonderful people are on tumblr. They are so many amazing people I would have never met any other way. The first part of getting them into a poly relationship is them, well, getting to know each other. For this, I’ll say you were in a relationship with Thancred first and grew to feel for Ardbert over the time you knew him in Shadowbringers. You never believed it would go anywhere due to your pre-established relationship coupled with the fact that he was literally a ghost.

However, after his soul gets schlorped back into his body, everything changes. You’re forced to come to terms with your already budded feelings for him.

Fortunately, he gets along well with Thancred from the very start. Thancred very easily settles into the idea of a three way relationship. Even if he isn’t romantically interested in Ardbert quite yet, he can always appreciate the fine physique of a trained warrior. 

Ardbert recognizes the fact that you can love two people at once and evenly spread your attention between them. I think there might be occasional issues with jealousy, but that settles out once they know each other better and grow to desire a romantic connection with each other. 

You need a big bed. There certainly isn’t enough room for both you and the both of them on one twin-sized mattress, with how filled out and tanky they are. While you definitely appreciate Thancred’s newfound muscle mass, you can’t deny that he takes up more space. 

Ardbert is a cuddler and prefers to be the big spoon. He feels very secure while you’re in his arms. He was lost for so long, a lone wandering shard in a world that moved on without him. Sometimes, he’s afraid he’ll wake up and he won’t be able to touch you anymore, that you’ll stop being able to see him. He’s clingy when laying down and in daily life, usually keeping an arm around your shoulders or waist. Or he holds your hand.

Thancred, on the other hand, isn’t picky with what position he takes as long as he’s touching one or the both of you. Though, if you’re particularly well-endowed in the chest area, he does enjoy resting his head there. He’s been spirited away from you twice, and a part of him deeply, subconsciously fears it happening again. Keeping you close helps soothe those fears somewhat.

Ardbert is your resident lap cat and takes any excuse to nuzzle at your thighs. Pet his hair and he’ll melt into a puddle of goo.

Thancred goes on domestic errands, which is something he never thought he’d enjoy years ago. Give him the grocery list and set him loose in your local grocery store or market. He’ll have everything you need within the next half-hour at most, depending on how much you need.

Ardbert is more of a fixer-upper. He’ll chop your firewood and TRY to cook. Try being the key word. He isn’t hopeless at it, but he needs a lot of practice and some lessons before you can genuinely enjoy anything he makes. He likes providing. Don’t let him try to fix the sink, though. He will accidentally bend the faucet in frustration.

Watch out. They’re liable to cling to you on either side even when it’s searing hot outside. 

They drink beer together on the front porch. If you tease them about looking like a pair of old men, Ardbert will try to tug you into his lap and rub his chin scruff over the crook of your neck.

Similarly, if you tease Thancred about his age, he’ll toss you over his shoulder with a good “Could an old man do this?” to emphasize his point.

When you wrote that Satan wanted a homemaker, all I could think about is this: They’re great at housework, but only because they're a germaphobe and/or neat freak. They’re an amazing chef, but basically an incarnation of Gordon Ramsey when anyone else tries to cook. This is crack & Satan will probably be driven away by their overbearing & perfectionist personality, but hey, you got the Human Hall kitchen all to yourself so who's laughing now? Congrats on the 300 followers btw!!!

Your one mistake is that Satan doesn’t mind a fixer upper. He’s perfectly willing to break down and retrain MC, as long as he’s even once seen a spark of promise that got his attention. He’s not the easiest brother to spark obsession in, but when it happens, he’ll do whatever he has to to make MC perfect.

Have you estimated how long you're going to Make Fixer Upper? It's a good series btw!

For a VERY general estimation, I’d say fixer upper has around 5-10 chapters left of the first act.

Yes, there’s a first and second act. The second act will be a lot shorter than the first, but if you take into account that each chapter is around 10k words or more, that’s around 100k+ more words for the first act alone.

Now I don’t want to limit myself with chapter numbers or anything, this is just a very loose estimate, but I want to say that fixer upper will end with over 400k words, we’re already close to 300k.
