Hiiii i hope you have a great day! I love your blog 🥰 been living my best y/n days lately hahaha
If you don't mind, may i request for chuuya with reader who is a photographer. One day the reader scouted him on the street, not knowing about him at all, just mesmerized by his appearance. So I'm wondering about how Chuuya would be someone's muse. Definitely got inspired by your chuuya x painter!reader one haha.
Thank you so much ^^
Ps: can be sfw or nswf up to your imagination; please feel free to ignore this request if you don't feel like doing it^^
omg anonnie this!!! chuuya's got such model vibes I cannot even he could make it to the high fashion. also tysm I'm so happy I can make your Y/N dreams come true♡♡
it's a normal thursday afternoon and chuuya's walking down the streets of Yokohama, idly scrolling on his phone when you randomly stop him and ask if he's interested in having a few pictures taken. at first, he's a bit confused and suspicious but after you tell him you're a photographer and really love his style, he agrees. after all, a few pictures can't hurt.
the two of you walk to a neraby park. getting everything in place; you tell him how to pose and all and soon enough you manage to take a few good shots.
when you show him the photos chuuya's quite taken aback. he didn't expect them to turn this good: his scarlet hair paired perfectly with the yellowing autumn leaves in the background and the warm sunlight~ engulfing him in a veil of gold. it is mesmerizing. he simply stares at the little screen of your camera, mouth agape and you can't help but chuckle.
"there's just something about you, a certain energy you give off. i'd love to work with you more, if you're interested" you propose, giving him that sweet smile of yours.
and of course he's interested. how could he say no when he has the chance to work with someone so talented?
over the next months chuuya visits your studio from time to time. due to his busy schedule, your photoshoots are quite rare but still the highlight of your week. you both enjoy working together; you are calm and collected, don't pry too much into his personal life and he's receptive, always eager to try any new ideas you might have, your perfect muse.
and oh, how many ideas you have. for those blissful couple of hours in your studio chuuya can forget about his life and become something else; a black and white 90s supermodel, a pop of colour on a white background, an angel in the garden of Eden, whatever you want him to be. with each outfit you make him try on he turns into something else, something of your making and he loves that.
despite your constant pleas he refuses to let you use his picture for exhibitions or contests; after all, his identity needs to be kept secret. so instead you hang them around your studio~ little 3:2 pictures adorning your walls, lined up like celluloid scenes in an old picture movie.
with each evening you spend together chuuya finds himself falling more and more in love with you. it's not only the way you walk around the studio with your camera hanging around hour neck, gently biting down on your lower lip as you try to find the perfect angle for a shoot or how you always offer him a glass of his favourite wine when he comes over; you're his own form of escapism. you're funny and sweet and creative and see him for everything that he is and could be, not as a mere criminal working for the Port Mafia. he can talk to you for hours without getting bored too, which is something new.
things progress and one evening, after an especially tiring day at work and a few glasses of wine, chuuya finds himself entangled with you on the plush couch in your studio; worshipping every inch of your body just like you do with his on camera. it's heated and messy and he loves it so much he just can't get enough. and neither can you.
from then on, you two meet for reasons unrelated to work too; he drops by to bring you little gifts or flowers as a sign of gratitude, takes you out to dinner, visits art galleries with you and takes you on weekend get-aways. and so your muse becomes your friend and your lover. your one and only.

Heya!
I've read a LOT of GO fics in my time, but I can't remember if I've seen crossovers/AUs of the following movies with Aziraphale/Crowley, can you help please?
So my favourite rom coms of all time are the following, and I'd love GO versions (if they don't exist I may have to write them)!
French Kiss (Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline)
You've Got Mail (Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks)
When Harry Met Sally (Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal)
Runaway Bride (Julia Roberts and Richard Gere)
Never Been Kissed (Drew Barrymore)
I won't bother asking about Pretty Woman because I've read so many versions with either of them in either role lmaooo (and I have loved Every. Single. One.)
Or basically any late 80s/early 90s rom coms with Meg Ryan (except Sleepless in Seattle because I find it incredibly boring) or Julia Roberts!
Thank you so much for everything you do! You've helped me discover so many amazing fics and writers and it is much appreciated!!! 💖💖😇😎
Hello there!
Did you know there is a whole collection from the Good Omens Rom-Com Event that was run a couple years ago? You might find what you're looking for there! (Some of the fics are unfinished so keep that in mind)
We have previously recommended a bunch of You've Got Mail/She Loves Me fics HERE, so check those out.
As for the other ones you've asked about:
French Kiss AU:
A Bit of Crumpet by Fyre [E]
With a handsome, successful fiance and a respectable home in Manhattan, Aziraphale Fell thought his life was more than adequate. He never expected to be jilted in a long-distance telephone call and so he sets out for England to find out exactly what's going on and gets a lot more than he bargained for.
When Harry Met Sally AU:
it had to be you by curtaincall [M]
“What I’m saying,” said Aziraphale, looking fixedly ahead, “and please don’t take this as a personal insult in any way, is that an angel and a demon can’t be friends.”
“Why not?”
“Because,” said Aziraphale, firmly. “It’s against the order of things. You’re supposed to tempt. I’m supposed to thwart. We can’t go being friends.”
*
A canon-divergent AU inspired by When Harry Met Sally.
I don't know of any fics with your two last wishes but there is also:
Notting Hill AU:
Soho by Lurlur [E]
Aziraphale lives a quiet kind of life, running a quiet specialist bookshop in one of the liveliest districts of London. He's content with his lot, happy with his friends, tolerant of his probably-human housemate, living vicariously through the gossip pages.
One day, a chance encounter with Anthony Crowley, lead singer of wildly successful rock band The Demons, threatens to turn his whole world upside down.
Music and Lyrics AU:
pop! goes my heart by attheborder [E], WIP
When has-been musician Anthony Crowley is recruited by pop singer Anathema Device to write a song for her new record, he jumps on the chance to resuscitate his career with a hit. There's only one problem: he can't write lyrics to save his life.
But a chance meeting with a stranger by the name of Aziraphale, with a poetic streak that's a perfect fit for the song, changes everything for Crowley. Together, they'll create something beautiful, fight the forces of the music industry, and perhaps even find a way back into love...
A Music and Lyrics AU for the GO Rom Com Event, complete with all-new original songs written and recorded by the author!
Kate & Leopold AU:
Until by Nadzieja [T]
“I don’t want to go home.” Half-asleep Aziraphale murmurs into his ear and Crowley's heart clenches. His grip tightens reflexively around the warm soft body in his arms, around the smell of old books and sandalwood.
“Then don’t.” He’s trying not to sound like he's pleading, but his throat is tight and his voice hoarse.
*
Crowley lives his average life, working in a high-end advertising company at London that pays just enough to get him a room in a shared accommodation. That's just his luck that he ends up living with a literal witch. One day she brings home an even more eccentric man that has a taste for 19th century fashion, as if Crowley didn't have enough things to worry about. Little he knows that the man will turn his world upside down. Literally. And that's just the beginning of his problems.

Care to share some of your GCBC headcanons?
🔸️ I'm going to be pulling a lot of these from previously answered asks. It'll be nice having them in one spot.
✮ Their full name is Garrett William Copp. They developed as a "they", but Ma and Pa didn't realize it until they were a few months old and began to show two distinct personalities. So Good ended up getting called Garrett, and Bad ended up getting called William. He vastly prefers his name to be shortened to Liam. Don't ever call him Will. Especially don't try calling him Bill.
✮ Their birthday is October 31, 1969. (Yes, I am aware that would make them 54 now. It's still 2014 for them.)
✮ Bad has always enjoyed physical activity and played many sports when they were kids. His favorites were baseball and track & field. He also took up boxing in college. Good had more of an interest in theatre- Bad gave up sports their senior year of high school so Good would have the time to do something he enjoyed for once.
✮ They had difficulty controlling their switching when they were younger- Good especially. He's always been the stronger of the two of them that way and can easily take control from Bad, no matter how hard Bad tries to resist. Unfortunately this, paired with Bad's need to be active, often led to injuries.
✮ Existing as they do also led to a lot of bullying and fights throughout school. Bad was always quick to switch in to defend Good- but he never threw the first punch.
✮ Bad prefers savory flavors, while Good prefers sweet. This played a large part in why they chose their particular culinary skills.
✮ Good has always been better at things like math and chemistry, which helps a lot with his interest in baking. Bad, with his long-standing love of reading, is remarkably good at things like spelling and grammar- to the point he turns off spellcheck and autocorrect on every device they use because it just drives him crazy.
✮ They both have specific emotions that they feel very strongly, and specific emotions they have a very difficult time feeling at all, and often need the other to either bring them back down or help them process it. Good's strong emotion is joy, and the emotion he is incapable of feeling on his own is anger. The most he can feel without Bad's help is annoyance. Bad is pretty much the opposite. He often needs Good to help keep his quick temper in check, and without Good's help, the happiest he is capable of feeling is 'content'. They both feel sadness/despair the same; Good is just much more comfortable with and capable of crying. Bad has to reach some pretty extreme limits before the tears will finally come.
✮ They dream together! Not always, but about 90% of the time. Sometimes they still share a body, sometimes they're separate. They especially like the dreams where they're separate and have been practicing lucid dreaming because, even if it's only a dream, they enjoy having the chance to do things together like normal brothers. They know they wouldn't be able to function if they really were separated though.
✮ Bad's tastes in music are pretty much limited to classic rock, traditional Irish, and ambient/atmospheric (think movie/video game music). Good, on the other hand, will listen to just about anything- especially if it's loud, upbeat, or both. His favorite genre is symphonic metal, and Bad often tells him he sounds like Fabio (former lead singer of Rhapsody of Fire) when he sings, just with a different accent.
✮ They very likely have the creative spark needed to be a Master Builder. No one's ever bothered to try training them to find out though.
✮ They're both mainly coffee drinkers. Bad prefers his black (maybe every once in a blue moon with just a touch of sugar), while Good prefers lattes, usually mocha but sometimes with other flavor shots, depending on what he's in the mood for. They're the same way when it comes to tea, as rarely as they drink it. Bad prefers hot herbal teas (specifically mint or chamomile) to unwind in the evenings, also very rarely sweetened. Good likes tea lattes (London Fog is his favorite so far) or milk teas for a sweet caffeine boost that's different from his usual fare. The only iced tea either of them will drink is their mom's sun tea, which she sweetens with honey and adds fresh crushed mint leaves to.
✮ Aside from seasonal allergies, they're allergic to mosquito bites. It's not life-threatening but any bites they get do swell up to be at least the size of a golf ball.
✮ They are what some would call "sensitive" or "intuitive". They have been able to see ghosts since they were young. Bad Cop in particular tends to get surprisingly accurate gut feelings about situations (not 100% of the time, but definitely more often than not).

So I saw Gundam Seed FREEDOM...
Tumblr media
... and honestly it defies analysis.
I will avoid spoilers for major plot elements in this write-up.
I'm a huge Gundam fan. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has followed my work for a long time, as I frequently bring it up, even in entirely inapplicable situations.
But even though I've been a fan since the late 90s, I'd never had a chance to see any of it in the cinema - so when AllTheAnime organised a special short run of the movie for UK theatres, I jumped at the chance.
What I saw surprised me.
To clarify, I'm not one of those Gundam fans who hates SEED. Sure, I love the UC, but I'm not gonna lie, Wing was my genesis within the fandom so I'm as likely to watch G-Gundam as 08th MS Team, though I do lean towards the grittier side of the franchise, with War in the Pocket being my favourite entry.
But most relevant to this is that while I enjoyed SEED, I've always been critical of Destiny for some really bizarre plotting that, frankly, kinda left the CE timeline in a mess. Like many fans, with the show having been off the air for nearly two decades, I gave up on the idea the movie might exist literally years ago.
With all that out of the way...
The movie does exist. Finally. And is it good? Bad?
The weird thing is I don't know what to say, and that's weird for a writer.
It's awesome. It's terrible. It's goofy. It's clever. It's idiotic. It's bizarre.
But it's over 2 hours long and, honestly, I was never bored, which I guess is a success?
Perhaps most surprisingly, the movie expends ZERO ENERGY on helping you if you haven't seen the near-100-episodes of CE anime which came before this. Like, if you haven't seen SEED and or Destiny, you are just utterly fucked. The show wheels characters and plot-beats from the prior material in-and-out in a manner I could best call aggressive. I last watched Destiny about ~7 years ago, and I'm a self-admitted Gundam nerd; but even I had to look up a few things on my phone afterwards.
Then, fan-service. Of both kinds. All sorts of things get pulled out of cold storage for the movie... But it works. Though that also stands as a testament to how this is, in the truest sense, a 2004 anime throwback. I actually heard some people in the cinema groaning at some of the Gainax Bouncing going on; but then given the jiggly silhouette in EVERY OPENING TO SEED, frankly it would've been stranger if it had been absent.
I think the movie has loads of problems. Even by CE standards, some of the storytelling was really goofy and dare-I-say-it, "cringe". It recycles probably too much and certainly doesn't stand on its own as a piece of media (though that's not so much a failing as a clear, conscious choice).
Also... It has that "anime movie" thing where the plot feels a bit filler. The first time you have this new guy on the scene with shock-white hair, being all edgelord as he talks about war and destiny and fencing or some other weird metaphor you kinda see the entire movie unfurl before you. If you're a longtime anime fan this isn't so much your first rodeo as your daily commute.
From there, the story takes numerous predictable turns, dips liberally into melodrama, sets up some great Mobile Suit fights, with relatively few surprises (note, however, I'm not saying "no surprises", as there are some, and also, I'm not suggesting it's tedious).
And yet...
It's fun.
It's really, really fun.
That's the crux of all this. That's what really matters. And honestly, when that new theme comes out of the speakers, sounding in perfect key with the types of music that ran through SEED's run, and Kira's onscreen, and he's locking onto a dozen targets and beams are spamming everywhere and everything's exploding in that weird pink way that things in SEED explode...
Have you ever tried to play a videogame from the 90s that you haven't played in years? And do you know how touch-and-go that is?
Gundam Seed FREEDOM is, if I'm to compare it to anything, like that.
But thankfully, it's one of the times when your memories might have been optimistic, but they're not wrong. That game may be a bit crude, a bit rough around the edges, and have more boob and ass jiggle than you recall... But it's good. So good that you find yourself sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of your console, grinning like an absolute loon, until it's 2am and you can no longer feel your feet.
If you have fond memories of the SEED era of the Gundam franchise, don't miss it.

The Door is Open (Tom Cruise)
TW- Mentions of harassment. Other than that, just pure fluffy goodness with a dash of hurt/comfort to send us off.
Summary- you are a production assistant on the set of a 90s Tom Cruise movie, and he steps in when one of his costars threatens you (**I created a fictional movie and a fictional costar bc I'm not about to slander some random real-life actor for no reason lol**). Additional note: in this universe, he's only been married to Mimi Rogers.
A warm thank you to anyone who takes the time to read; this is just me having fun and taking the serotonin where I can get it
Tumblr media
“Cut!” the director exclaimed as the cast finished filming the last of the scenes they had hoped to do before lunch. Just as crew members began to mill around set and the hum of conversation started up, as Tom Cruise ran a hand through his grown-out hair and did a couple of arm and back stretches, Y/N entered the soundstage balancing two cardboard trays full of drinks.
Although the caterer provided general meals and beverages, some of the cast and crew preferred to order drinks from an artisan café down the street. And, as one of the production assistant/PAs on the set of “Gold Rush,” it was Y/N’s job to run down the aforementioned street, to the aforementioned café, to fetch the aforementioned drinks, as well as do essentially any odd small job that anyone ranked higher than her asked her to do. And pretty much everyone was ranked higher than the PAs.
Although the work could be exhausting and she didn’t get a lot of please-s or thank you-s for what she did, Y/N was really enjoying the experience for the most part. She found it really interesting to see what went into all of the different units’ work, from set construction to costuming to lighting (when she wasn’t running for bottles of water or copies of the script, which was a lot of the time), but one thing she had not hoped to learn, at least so early on in her film career, was how slimy some of the actors could be.
While Tom Cruise, despite being the most well-known and successful actor in Hollywood, seemed from her observations to be the image of class and generosity, one of his co-stars, Bill Waters, was… less so. To be completely accurate, Bill Waters was a conceited asshole who faked affability around those he felt could benefit him and was used to getting anything he wanted at the snap of his fingers. And one of the things he had recently wanted, and was appalled to have not received, was Y/N. The other day, he had approached her alone outside the soundstage building and forcefully propositioned her, to the point that she had to slap him to escape his hold.
Ever since then, despite her rigorous attempts to avoid him, he had criticized, embarrassed, and overworked her at every chance. A couple of days ago, he yelled at her for taking so long to bring him a dish from a restaurant located across town, and yesterday, he’d purposely spilled the coffee she’d just brought him, just so she would have to get another one.
As she quickly made her way through the room, handing each coffee and tea to its recipient, she tried not to make eye contact with the fast-approaching Bill. When she thrusted the paper cup into his hand, he made a point to stroke her fingers when he took it from her. Y/N glanced up, startled, met with a faint smirk that made her sick to her stomach. She decided not to respond, hoping he would lose interest and go away as she moved on to the next set of people across the room, but he pursued her until he matched her speed-walking pace.
“Hey, this isn’t what I ordered,” he said, putting the cup in her face so that she had to narrowly dodge a passing crew member to not get doused.
“You said that you wanted a caramel brulée latte, and that’s what it is.”
“Oh, I must have forgotten to say that I didn’t want whipped cream. Whoops.” His smirk grew wider and more punchable as she kept failing to out-walk him without attracting attention. “Anyway, I’m not drinking this; you’ll have to run back out so you can get me the right thing.”
“Can’t you just skim it off the top?” Y/N protested, preparing to round a tight corner around a large set piece that several people were transporting, when she felt a searing pain across the front of her torso.
Dazed from the pain and the many eyes that were now on her, it took a moment for Y/N to register that the front of her shirt was splattered with Bill’s rejected coffee. A couple of her acquaintances from the hair and makeup department ran to get her some towels, as everyone else continued to stare.
“What is wrong with you?” Bill gasped, anger coloring his face. After a few moments of stunned silence, another voice chimed in.
“What the hell’s going on?” Tom Cruise appeared, confused, from within the assembled crowd. He sighted Y/N, dripping with coffee, and Bill, red in the face with obvious irritation, and his eyebrows furrowed suspiciously.
“She ran into me and made me spill my drink,” Bill complained, rolling his eyes.
“Hey, I saw you throw it at her,” Tom replied sternly. “You threw a hot coffee at Y/N. Why would you do that?” His voice was level and at a calm, low volume, but in his eyes, one could see that he was pissed. Even in the midst of the immense embarrassment, she was surprised and pleased that Tom Cruise, of all people, knew her name.
Y/N’s friends reappeared with handfuls of towels, and as they made their way to help dry her soaked shirt, Tom took one of the towels to hand to her as well.
“Well? What is wrong with you?” he continued to prod Bill.
“What’s wrong with me?” Bill’s gestures and expressions were becoming more agitated. “She’s the one who can’t figure out how to order the right drinks, or even hold them- I want her fired.”
Y/N paled, feeling even more sick and now slightly dizzy, at the prospect of her film career going down in flames before it could hardly begin.
“Do you think that, just because you’re more famous than she is, that you don’t have to treat her like a person? Is that it?” Tom glared.
“Do you think just because you’re Tom fucking Cruise that you can talk to me that way? Because I won’t stand for it.”
“I won’t stand for that kind of bullshit on my set,” Tom snarled, his temper finally slipping through to the open. “You can be a decent fucking person or you can get out. We’ll find someone else; no one’s irreplaceable.”
“Except you and whoever kisses your ass,” Bill spat, storming out past the crowd.
“You are out of here!” Tom yelled after him, even though he and everyone else knew that he most likely didn’t have the authority to make such a decision, even given his status in the industry.
Taken aback by the scene they had just witnessed, it took a few minutes for the crowd to dissipate. Y/N retreated outside to the parking lot behind the soundstage, dabbing at her stained shirt, her mind reeling with the very real possibility that her time on the “Gold Rush” set was over.
Realizing Tom had followed her out and was gazing at her with concern, she mustered “Mr. Cruise, t-thank you; you didn’t have to do that. I don’t want to cause any problems…”
“Did you throw a hot coffee on him?” Tom asked gently.
“N-no…?”
“Did you just curse everyone out?” The hint of a smile flickered at the corners of his mouth.
“No…”
“Well, unless you start doing that, you have nothing to worry about, as far as I’m concerned.” He paused, studying how she avoided his gaze. “He isn’t any better than you or me.”
They experienced another awkward silence, as no one else was currently in that part of the lot.
“Was that the first time that happened? Because I remember he also spilled his coffee yesterday. Maybe he’s the one who can’t figure out how to hold things.” Tom met Y/N’s surprised look knowingly, and with that, she found herself beginning to lose her composure.
“No, it’s not the first time,” her voice cracked, and she crossed her arms in a self-soothing motion as tears began to fall. “He’s pissed because I wouldn’t sleep with him- oh gosh, Mr. Cruise, I’m so sorry for crying, this is the last thing you need…” She covered her face, utterly mortified to be having a mental breakdown in front of Tom Cruise. She inhaled shakily in an effort to rein it back in. “I’m okay, I’m fine.”
“I want you to take fifteen minutes,” Tom replied softly, reaching for one of her heaving shoulders. “We need to get you a new shirt- I have an extra crew t-shirt from when they were handing them out the other day- and speaking of drinks, have you had anything to drink recently?” Y/N shrugged, not wanting to admit it and seem even more needy. “That’s what I thought,” he shook his head. “You can sit in my trailer where no one will bother you, and then you’ll be ready to get back out there and finish the day on a high note.”
“Mr. Cruise, that’s very nice of you, but I don’t know…”
He realized she might be wary of the idea of his trailer after Bill had made his move on her. “We can keep the door open the whole time. I’ll sit on the opposite side of the trailer,” he grinned, raising his hands in a yielding gesture for emphasis.
“I- I didn’t mean-” she stammered, not wanting to offend another of the cast members.
“It’s alright.” He waved her forward in the direction of his trailer, and she conceded. “Now, we just have to stop this Mr. Cruise business. Y/N, please feel free to call me Tom.”
~
Once they reached his trailer, as promised, Tom left the door open behind them. After rooting through a few boxes and drawers, he located the aforementioned t-shirt.
“It is a men’s medium, and it’s not exactly a fashion statement…” he winced.
“It’ll do just fine; it doesn’t have any coffee on it, and that’s what I’m interested in.” Y/N finally found it in her to smile before quickly getting changed in the small trailer bathroom. She noted the towels, cologne, and other personal items on the sink counter, and it hit her more fully that she was literally in Tom Cruise’s trailer, a place she never could have envisioned visiting.
When she reemerged, she saw Tom leaning against the wall near the opposite end of the trailer, and a bottle of water that had been placed at the table down by her.
“I hope you like that kind; I mentioned I liked it and they sent me a whole case,” Tom chuckled. “Anyway, I can’t finish it all by myself.”
“Thanks.” Y/N slid into one of the bench seats at the table and took a sip. “At least my last day as a PA will end on a good note,” she winced.
“No one is going to fire you,” Tom insisted. “You’re a kind, cheerful person when you’re not getting hot coffee thrown at you, and you’ve got a great work ethic. Both rare things in this industry a lot of the time. You aren’t going anywhere, trust me; you still have a future.”
Y/N took another sip of her water.
“What are you hoping to do in movies? Are you another aspiring actress, or do you want something more niche like makeup, production design, directing?”
“Not sure yet. I’m still trying to see what I like the most. Reading about it and doing it are two very different things, you know.”
Tom nodded, understanding. “You have family nearby?”
Y/N shook her head. “Tennessee.”
“A country girl," he grinned. "What do they think of your career choice?”
“They’re warming up to it.”
“I was lucky, my family was always really supportive.”
“Do you get to see them very often? It seems like you always go, go, go,” Y/N laughed quietly.
“Not as much as I’d like, but… enough,” he nodded again, as if confirming he was satisfied with his own answer.
Y/N suddenly recalled Tom’s recent divorce. Even though he and his ex-wife hadn’t had any children, they had still been together several years, and Y/N was sure it must have been difficult for him. As they were on the topic of family, she made a point not to mention even indirectly anything to do with those matters.
“Well, everyone’s got to take a break once in a while. Maybe after this picture wraps you can spend some time with them.”
“Yeah,” Tom replied, his gaze momentarily drifting into the distance. “But until then, it’s nice to have some company now.”
“I’ll have another mental breakdown just for you, so we can do it again sometime,” Y/N joked, trying to make light of her humiliation. To her relief, Tom laughed in response, diffusing some of her tension. “I should probably be going. They’ll be looking for me once they run out of drinks.” Y/N rose to her feet, grabbing her water and her soiled shirt.
“Well, if you would ever like to drop by again, my door is open- literally.” He gestured to the open trailer door. “And you let me know if Bill ever bothers you again- I’ve learned a lot of fighting moves from working on this movie and I can kick his ass.”
“Okay. I would love to see that,” Y/N replied, making her way to the front of the trailer and toward Tom. “No,” her tone of voice became serious again, “You’ve already done more than I could have asked for.” In the confines of the trailer, she and he came closely face-to-face as she neared the doorway.
“Well, sometimes, all you have to do is ask.” He smiled warmly and they shared an intense moment of eye contact before Y/N shyly looked away. Tom exited the trailer ahead of her, reaching out his hand for her to take from where he stood on the ground, to guide her down the couple of stair steps. “Now, go get ‘em.”
“It’s true, you really are a relentless optimist,” Y/N smiled and shook her head. They waved each other goodbye, and then she headed back in the direction of the soundstage, feeling like she could face the rest of the day again, and maybe even the rest of the production. Even though all of her anxieties didn’t magically go away, she figured that, with Tom Cruise in her corner, she had little to worry about.

Hi....If you don't mind, can I ask, what are your top 10 (or top 7) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Thanks....
If I’m being honest, I have been more into just listening to music during my free time more than anything and while I read a lot of manga, my goldfish brain would blank out if someone were to ask me anything about it. However, I will tell you my list of definite rewatch/reread series though some of them are pretty old or obscure.
My Top 10 (in no particular order)
Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-Kun (manga/anime)
At first, I watched it mainly for the fun aesthetics (cute colourful characters with spooky backgrounds) but I fell in love with the characters and world-building of this series. The whole cast, be it main or supporting, are absolutely amazing and capable of running a story arc of their own even without the main cast which is seriously impressive. And while the anime only just scratched the surface, the author really built the setting of this series with great thought, with its own politics, history, systems, and culture that impacts the story well. No random fact is without purpose and I love it.
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (manga/anime)
I’ve been watching anime since I was 4 so I can confidently say that I’m familiar with many classic anime tropes and cliches. This series is like a kudos to longtime anime fans with its jokes and jabs as it follows a strong psychic boy being absolutely done with the insanity of his life as he tries to keep his powers a secret from his schoolmates like a sports anime jock, a shojou girl, delinquent gone good, etc. The comedy coming from this deadpan omnipotent high school student is just an absolute delight. I kin Saiki so much
Nope (movie)
I’m a real fan of horror movies, especially those with undertones that bring a critical element to humanity. While I love all of Jordan Peele’s current works, Nope has got to be one of my favourite movies overall. I’ve heard of some of the criticisms people had with the film (pretty ironic ones too) but I personally love the pacing and suspense of the film. While it’s fun to watch monsters and killers get crazy from the get-go (that’s why Saw movies and slasher films were popular) but Nope touched on that all-too-real fear of not knowing what’s going to happen. That fear where you’re afraid but you’re not sure of what yet.
Petshop of Horrors (manga/anime) and the sequel Neo Petshop of Horrors (manga)
Speaking of horror with critical undertones, I was obsessed with this manga series that came out in the late 90s. I would try so hard to find a way to read this series every chance I could growing up. It’s a sorta episodic style story that stars a mysterious petshop owner that often becomes a suspect in the deaths of people who have bought animals from his shop. I love the philosophy of each new story that touches on humanity and how different (or similar) we are to animals. It questions our societal norms, expectations, base desires, mythology, what it means to live, and what is “acceptable” in our world. Unfortunately, the series was never fully translated and only published fewer copies than typical manga series due to reasons I’m not too sure of (possibly conflicts with ownership and company copyrights at the time, think Baccano situation). The series had an anime but even that anime only had 4 episodes (I still highly recommend it however). I’ve managed to get a few volumes for myself and I know people are selling certain volumes online but I have to save for essentials so collecting them is unfortunately a lower priority now.
Pokémon (video game/manga/anime)
Is this a cop-out? Nah. To this day, I would still have to physically fight myself to not buy plushies and games when I’m already broke af. Pokémon might be one of the first animes I have ever seen (I have seen both sub and dub because my brother found a way) and I would still on occasion go back to rewatch literally any season and any movie of theirs, Nintendo really hit the marketing jackpot with this franchise. The creativity and design are so iconic and memorable that it’s so easy and fun to get into the fantasy of going on an adventure with your favourite Pokémon. There’s of course some nostalgia at play since I loved the moments where my older brother would watch the movies with me and my cousin and I would collect the figurines together.
One Piece (manga/anime)
Is this also a cop-out? Don’t care. I LOVE ONE PIECE! I will sacrifice my time and tears for this series. I have legitimately managed to rewatch this 4 times in my life (granted I started when it only had 400+ episodes so I had an easier time) and I would willingly cry over a flashback, a whale, even a boat over and over again. The action and story-telling of this series just keeps me running back for more even if I keep meeting dumb gatekeepers (yea, people don’t believe me when I tell them I’m a One Piece fan, what are ya gonna do?) I haven’t watch the Netflix live action yet but I probably will once I get my friends to watch with me (I like to fangirl with friends~)
Forget my Husband, I’ll Go Make Money (manhwa)
Despite my blog probably being best known for the villain/ess series, the banner of my blog is not an isekai villainess story but a fantasy series where a woman who can see the past, present, and future tries to make money while being married to a foreign prince before expecting a divorce (because she assumed he rather marry for love than for political reasons). Fun fact, this series was actually one of the foundations when I was writing the villain/ess story for Leona. The art and main couple are just absolutely delightful, I can’t help but reread it as it returns for a new season. Not only is the art just gorgeous, the main couple is just so gosh darn entertaining with their conversations, personal dynamics, and hilarious misunderstandings. Just beautiful.
Hotel Del Luna (K-drama)
Leave it to my interest in horror to love a romance drama with ghosts in it. It’s funny, it’s cute, and some of the ghost’s backstory is heartbreaking as well. This is a great story to just have a nice cry out. I love the story, I love the music, but most importantly, I love IU! She is my queen and every scene she is in, she kills me with her fashion, her haughty character, and her tragic backstory. She and the male lead was such a fun twist of the typical k-drama relationship where she was the powerful but broken character who ended up being healed by the kind, hardworking character. I've watched this 3 times at this point, but I still cry Every. Single. Time. No exceptions.
Hell Girl (anime/manga)
If I haven’t sold you on how I was probably that kid with creepy interests, maybe this will convince you. This was my go-to show back when I was in middle school. There is no excuse, I just really love the psychological horror of this series. In the show, there is a website you can access at midnight where you can ask Ai or Hell Girl to send your most hated person to hell, with the price that you will go there too when you die. While there was a linear storyline in the background, the episodes were always new people who requested Ai’s help with different cases of their own hell on earth. It touches on some really heavy real-life topics but what made it memorable to me was how sometimes I would feel saddened by the choices the people in the show made. Sometimes, they’re in the situation where all they can do is curse someone to hell but then was it really worth losing your chance at a happier afterlife? I watched this show with some of my friends who either saw Ai as a villain for sending people to hell, or a saviour who helped these people find an escape from their torturer, and that honestly made me think about what it means to have that much hate in you. I always wondered if I was ever in that situation, what would I do if given the chance?
Big Hero 6 (movie)
Arguably the first Marvel-Disney movie since Disney bought Marvel, I remembered people having weird thoughts on the usually cartoony company taking over the superhero franchise but I fell in love with everything that was this movie. It had Marvel-style action mixed with classic Disney wholesomeness and gut-wrenching emotional moments. I loved the message and warmth that was in this movie. Having an older brother myself, I couldn’t imagine how I could go on if I lose him but watching Hiro being so well supported by Baymax and his friends cemented within me the importance of helping others and that supporting those in pain can be as powerful as stopping bad guys (sappy, I know but hey I’m now learning to be a preschool teacher so this really stuck with me). Tadashi’s recorded message brings me so much comfort that I didn’t realize I needed. He may have been the closest thing to a Disney crush for me.

Timothée's POV
November 2021
I couldn't believe someone was holding a premiere at Houdini's mansion.
Hollywood never ceases to amaze me, I know being a New Yorker everyone expects me to rag on L.A. but I gotta say, I absolutely love this glittery wilderness. Everyone is free here, weirdness doesn't exist, it's the regular, and there was a little European liberation here.
I was invited to the premiere of James Franco's remake on the 80s cult classic Spellbinder, his was called Spellbound, and it starred my good friend Tom Holland as the straight edge, white collar L.A. attorney, Matt Hayes, Austin Butler played the seemingly good but betraying warlock friend, Dan Clayton, and playing the evil seducing lead on the cover Miranda Every, was my current obsession, Minka Farrah.
I remember seeing her for the first time.It was two years ago at Lily's, we put on a movie before getting intimate, she was the one who raved about this young edgy actress who only does indies, with no connection into the entertainment business at all. The movie was Poison, Joel Schumacher's thriller rendition of Snow White. Set in the New York 90s supermodel scene, Minka plays Nieve Bianco, who's a rising star in the modeling world. Her unique beauty and large breasts bring controversy in the current trend of heroin chic, it shows Nieve struggling with body image and battling bulimia, Lily told me Minka had to lose 90 pounds for the film and she said it messed with her mental state badly since her usual body is curvy. I felt protective of her when hearing that, and wanted to have at it with the director even though his intention was to expose the dangers of the modeling world. Minka's character Nieve, had a rival two years older, Reina Reyes, played by Ana de Armas,  who Nieve usurped as the supermodel of the world. Nieve even caught the eye and heart of Reina's ex girlfriend who left Reina because she was too obsessed with her vanity and career, a butch fashion photographer, Schuyler "Sky" van Axel played by Ruby Rose. So obsessed with her rivalry with Nieve, Reina throughout the movie tries to kill Nieve in different ways but makes it convincingly look like it's one of Nieves many stalkers, even going as far as to give them a name, Malcolm McQueen. Sending pictures of Nieve of circled parts of her body claiming she has gained weight asking why she's turning into a porker, Nieve takes diet pills from Japan, her bulimia gets worse, Reina swapped Nieve's diet pills out with party drugs and fentanyl, Nieve even overdoses and Sky is afraid Nieve has a drug problem as well as an eating disorder, Nieve feel convinced she has a drug problem too but is doing to well in her career to leave for rehab so Sky promises to help her, thinking it's brought on by her stalker. Nieve is followed him one night from a party by one of the photographers, he tries to rape and stab her but he stops and sobs saying she's always been the only model who has been nice to him, Confessing that he's been having money problems due to his drug abuse, and Reina offered him a half a million to kill Nieve and make it look like she was raped and murdered by the made up stalker, he tells Nieve everything. Nieve is so afraid but she doesn't think anyone will believe her, she no longer cares about her career, she checks herself into a mental hospital thinking she will be safe there and if she gives up Sky and her career she will be safe from Reina. But her fans send her letters and praise, the designers donate the proceeds to foundations for eating disorders in Nieves name, Reina was livid of the outcome.
At the hospital she becomes close to her psychologist, Dr. Paul Dormer, played by Jason Patric, tells him about Reina and he has six nurses guard Nieve moving her room to the glass room. Meanwhile, Sky tries to make sense of Nieves mental recession, follows Reina and finds out everything and starts to collect evidence for the police. She finds out Reinas next plan and heads to the hospital, Reina disguises herself as a nurse and crushes up a bottle of sleeping pills putting it into Nieves apple sauce and has it taken to her room.
Sky gets there too late and they're pumping Nieves' stomach but she doesn't make it. Sky dropped video and written evidence of Reina to the cops and goes to kill Reina but the cops arrest Reina. The movie ends with Dr. Dormer and the six nurses at the funeral, they're renaming the hospital after her. Reina is at another mental hospital in a straight jacket crying and laughing that she won, she's the most beautiful woman alive.
The performance of Minka left me with so many feelings, after that movie I watched all of hers. She's so beautiful, 5'3 with the kind of wide hips that shift side to side distractingly, an hourglass figure and bouncy, juicy breasts, 36DDD, a soft little stomach, I wanted to bite every part of her and do explicit things to her curves. I had the living need to lick every part of her light olive skin that was a beautiful resort of her Black, Arabian, and Eastern European heritage. I wanted to see the look of overstimulated pleasure on her round, heart shaped face, her juicy, thick raspberry lips fall open as she tries to scream my name and Rapture but can't as I stretch her with my cock and have my tip pound into her spot.
I rewind the sex scenes in her movies over and over, my source of ejaculation, I tug hard on my cock watching her big violet eyes hood seductively as the screen siren she is. But after my release, when I'm lying in my sheets naked covered in my own cum and sweat instead of hers, I feel livid, colored in green jealousy of her co stars who touched her. When I found out she was in a relationship with Ruby Rose I was inconsolable. When I saw them on the red carpet together, Ruby's nose was buried in Minka's soft, blunt black bob cut. I wanted so badly to smell her.
Her interviews are my favorite. I took great care in learning about her. She lost her mother 24 from cancer, they were close and even mentioning made my lovely girl tear up. I wanted to choke that interviewer for being so insensitive and asking her about that difficult time, I wanted to run her a bath, lock her away from the world and bundle her up in my blankets.
She's from Woodland Park, New Jersey, her mother was from Poland, her dad is a teacher. They moved to Carmel-by-the-sea when she was in her senior year, she went to an all girls Catholic school. She hated school and she's bisexual. Her brother Stone is trans and he's her assistant, her other brother Jerzy is a pilot. Her favorite color is red. She's older than me by ten months and born on Elizabeth Taylor's birthday, who is her idol. She speaks Polish and is an animal activist as well as a queer activist, 80s punk and dark wave is her favorite music and when I found out she and Ruby ended and she bought a home in Beverly Hills, I bought one in Santa Monica.
It wasn't hard for me to get an invitation to the premiere of Spellbound, I know that sounds gross and cocky but for once I'm so grateful for my status.
I made sure to dress my best, begged my stylist to conjure up something eye-catching and revealing, to make me look as desirable as I could. Erin didn't disappoint. She clothed me in a halter like, sleeveless, waistcoat in white with a black collar, matching trousers almost made like formal joggers, and Chanel combat boots. To top it off, red was splattered on the design to look like blood, it was fitting for the film being premiered. The trousers were a little tight around the crotch area.
The mansion looked incredible, the main event was out in the gardens, thankfully heating lamps were everywhere, it was still chilly in November, even in L.A.. I ran into many familiar faces, sometimes I couldn't believe I was famous and that these amazing legends were talking to me.
Suddenly, I heard a musical laugh, it was giggly and scratchy and I fell in love all over again. I politely excused myself to find the source that I knew it belonged to. Standing in the center of the garden , posing with James Franco in an inappropriately tight, Morticia dress with a neckline that plunged to her navel was…her. Her Mia Wallace hair melted beautifully with the ebony of her dress and framed her picturesque face, she looked like she could be a film siren from the 1910s, her eyes were done in vamp flapper style, lips painted the color of deep cherry red that matched her embroidered gloves with occult imagery. My eyes kept slipping to her cleavage that was falling from her dress, almost, with curious eyes, you could nearly see her nipples.
Stirring occurred in my too well tailored trousers. I licked my lips and decided to bite the bullet and meet the woman of my dreams.
I don't know when but before I knew it, I was close enough to tower over her, close enough to hear her whispering to James that his special friend was looking jealous by the fountain, and close enough to smell the hypnotic sweet and dark scent of her perfume.  Before I lost my nerves I cleared my throat and spoke her name like a spell.
"Excuse me..."

Chapter 3 (trial) + Chapter 4 most of the daily life
Brazilian economy is in shambles..One battery for my mouse was 40$..With a discount This time I have video! from Bandicam + Bandicut you all will finally see the UI, I think that's what is called! Right when I finally get the pictures (My game stopped when I finished recording..I had to start over), it has more content than it would normally have
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As I said after that if it glitched I didn't save it because I was confident of my abilities and didn't expect the game to crash so early without warning, as you can notice I put the audio in Japanese because my mind would get into a knot because of the English audio and sometimes it doesn't match The trial was pretty much the same I couldn't exactly open the bandicam for screenshots so I went without it for the entire trial, the noticeable thing about it was ''Hi-fuck'' and ''Tak-unt'' both nicknames from Shou (It would be Taka who gave birth but being honest YOU want to call him that? in English? I don't think so)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Union <3
Tumblr media
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this one, no references but the chapter opens up to Hiro saying ''gado'' (Cow or person who lets themselves be stepped on for someone they love) there being nothing coming out of this title is just balanced
And Kirigiri saying that one Naruto meme (it is not the only one with super however that's the one that is the first on the search bar and one that I remember vividly, plus is from voice makers the one who invented the naruto meme of ''Flexiable Heterosexual'') ''You're a man, let it go'' ''What do you think men are made of?''
Tumblr media
''I'm the boss, I do what I want...PAIN DIED LET IT GO!'' ''I don't care'' ''LET IT GO!''
Tumblr media
The teachers' room also gave me abnormal amounts of money because of Tim Burton...I hope he has the right reason to give me +20 coins
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ah yes the blackboards that changed the whole trajectory of veiled hope I remember well...Nice to see them translated, I couldn't have the whole blackboard for some reason, I was very close to it for whatever circumstance
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The screenshot speaks for itself: Monokuma is that one Keanu Reaves emote (Admitted, real not fake, not a bit, Top 10 characters who despair for ass, I don't know how to spell the actor's name)
Tumblr media
''I was at the bathhouse, what more you would want to know? My zodiac star signs?'' - Zodiacs are very popular, or it may be Saint Seiya fever that never died in the 90s and keeps being Brazilians favorite Shounen besides Dragon Ball, in the 2010s I met it via Rebosteio, a channel not for kids who did mostly edgy humor that I was fond off at the time most of the episodes are blocked out of the earth...
Tumblr media
And there is finally a thing I can explain, Woodpecker reference! (I'm not sorry for bringing the Woodpecker movie curse) ''Minha nossa nossa nossa'' Video posted on youtube on 1st of April 2014 by TVMAROTO
Tumblr media
Is that I would say if I didn't look closer now and see that the ''Nossas'' are not together, its fine we can dream... and she tries to do the static of every robber in brazil too, if I saw her on Rio de Janeiros streets (I don't live there) I would run or give up my life on sight
Tumblr media Tumblr media
''Bow, it is your chance to get this over big guy Makoto! Bow and beg like you never did in your life''-Hiro
Ending this big post by saying ladies and gentlemen plus yer majesties oh that's the name of it:
Tumblr media
''The most despairful, the most evil, monstrous tragedy of humanity'

OKAY THIS IS A BIG ONE, just answer the ones you want to :D
DC (preferably Batman or Green Arrow or Superfam but actually everything) - games, comics, movies, books, fandom
what is your (can be more than one each category):
favourite fan AU
favourite headcanon
favourite female character
favourite male character
favourite comic
favourite canon AU (you know all these Future State and Kingdom Come and Injustice and Arkham verse and all that!!!)
favourite ship (IF you have one, otherwise the ones you can tolerate)
favourite death (if the character died more than in one universe or more than once, specify which death)
favourite powerset
favourite resurrection (LOL, same with #8)
favourite AU villain/antagonist (those who aren't villains but you imagine would be cool villains in your opinion)
favourite canon villan/antagonist (if characters like Jason or Talia then specify which plotlines/comics)
favourite DC loser.
sorry for bad English!!!! have a good day/night
Oh boy, that’s… that’s actually really hard for me. I have a hard time picking favorites, because I generally love things for very different reasons. I know much more clearly what I dislike when I see it; enjoying things is sorta my default state, y’know?
Like, take the AU question. I’d be hard pressed to tell you whether a good Reverse Robins setup was something I liked better than, say, @jube-art’s Superfam/Batfam role-swap (which, if you haven’t seen it, go check it out!)
I’m also working my way through canon chronologically, and am still in the early/mid-90s, so there’s a lot of characters I haven’t officially gotten to, and a lot of stories I haven’t gotten the chance to really dig into yet. (I made it to Knightfall, realized I hadn’t put any of the buildup to that arc in my comic library, and decided to go back and read Barbara’s time with the Suicide Squad instead.) I don’t feel comfortable planting a flag on this until… oh, at least until ~2006, probably. (Which, given just how many books/characters suddenly got added in the 90s, will probably take a while.)
(There are also lots of characters who have so much potential in their backstory/power set, but who never got to use them to their full potential. Or who only had the cool parts of their backstory tacked on as an obvious retcon in the process of writing them out of the story, because the fans were vocally upset about them, meaning they never got the exploration any of those story ideas deserved.) (I have a special level of ire for power sets that are really cool on a surface level, but where the creators added just one power too many to stop them from being fully interesting. For example, Menagerie’s bugs having mind control properties overcomplicates her too much, in my opinion. Or—if you’ll let me hop over to Marvel—a character like Alpha who has all the “standard” superpowers, but only one at a time? What makes that interesting is having to choose between being super-strong or invulnerable or super-fast (etc.) therefore this character should not have ranged attack options built into said power set; it disincentivizes him from ever getting up-close with enemies, forcing the writer to choose between having the character be stupid or having the character never use the interesting elements of their powers. (…I mean, Alpha being stupid is kinda the point of his plot, but you see what I’m getting at, right?))
I will say, I adored Jason’s post-Crisis Robin run (in both Batman series, though for very different reasons) and so far very little has brought me as much joy as reading DC’s Detective Comics from that time period! And those few pages of Dan Mora’s B&W cyberpunk short that went around recently had me absolutely frothing with excitement for the possibilities that verse holds. And Jason being Tim’s Robin brings me endless joy, which neither canon nor jerkfaces will take from me.
(Aaaaaaaand while shipping isn’t the catharsis I come to comics for (thank gods, basically every canon ship I’ve witnessed thus far has been awful in motion even when their potential is off the charts,) I can actually blame DCEU SuperBat for getting me into this whole mess in the first place. Blame @susiecarter, whose fics I found immediately after watching someone do a deep-dive analysis of everything that went wrong with BvS, which I paused when I thought, “Huh, these are actually all really good points… I bet fanfiction has done this exact story, but with much better execution, recognizable characterization, and probably a hell of a lot gayer. Let’s go check.”)

that is very understandable about preferring to save money and not really keep up with the latest tech haha, but it really is too bad that companies don't make their games compatible with older devices. maybe someday if you end up wanting or needing to replace yours you'll have a chance to play the game! and if you ever do then i hope you'll enjoy it. the songwriters for wish were two people who had only ever written for pop singers before, which i guess isn't automatically bad--after all, phil collins did a great job with the songs he wrote for tarzan. but i wish that for disney's 100th anniversary movie they had gotten a team that was experienced with broadway-style music, the way they usually do for their musicals. the song "at all costs" from wish is an especially strange song to me because just listening to it, you'd think it has a way different context than it actually does in the movie. oh wow i've actually not heard of that book series before, but it's cool that it's getting a disney+ series! i hope the show turns out well. the only thing i'm reading right now is "disney's art of animation: from mickey mouse to hercules", which so far is a great overview of disney's history and i really wish it had had a newer edition. ooh that sounds interesting, i might try and watch greystroke sometime! what do you think of the direct-to-video sequel (or midquel, i guess) to disney's tarzan, and the tv series, if you've watched those things? i remember watching them both when they originally came out, but i don't recall much of what happened in them and i don't think i saw every episode of the tv series. also, i saw your post about the supervising animator of jane following you on instagram--that's so cool, congratulations!! -🌟
I was listening to Hercules this morning at work, and all I could think about was how amazing the lyrics were. The line from One Last Hope "I'm down to one last shot and my last high note, before that blasted underworld gets my goat" is so satisfying because it rhymes perfectly, makes sense, and is a clever pun using a common phrase that is also in this case literal given he's half goat. And in Zero to Hero there's the line "and this perfect package packed a pair of pretty pecs" is probably the best example of alliteration I've ever heard in a song. Also, all the songs fit perfectly in the movie. They don't sound like something written to get radio plays or to hit the top of the charts and then stuffed into a movie they don't belong in.
More and more lately it seems like Disney's really just going for the quick buck. Just trying to get things out as quickly as possible with out putting the effort in to making it quality like they used to (nothing against the crew, at the end of the day they have to do what their bosses say). So frustrating… just because something is popular does not mean it's the best. Thinking back to growing up in the 90s and the music that was popular then. I loved the music, but it would have been awful to shove that into the movies. Technically it did happen with Mulan. I love that movie, and I do really enjoy True to Your Heart, but it is soooo out of place with the rest of the songs that it practically pulls out out of the movie, like you just changed to channel to something else, and it ruined the ending for me. I honestly feel like skipping the end every time I watch it. One of the reasons the 90s worked so well is they brought in that broadway style that worked so well, and kept the pop music out of the movies (and in the credits where it actually makes sense).
I think the reason Phil Collins worked so well is he was making music for the movie, not what was popular at the time. It made complete sense to bring him in because he's probably the best known drummer at the time. From what I've seen and read he came in willing to learn, because he'd never done music for a film before. This wasn't just writing individual songs, this was telling a story and moving that story along. If you listen to his other work you can notice the difference. Still distinctly Phil Collins, but still serving the film they were made for.
I also remember seeing an interview a few years back with a number of different film composers talking about writing for movies (this one was specifically Marvel movies) compared to "back in the day". One thing that really stood out to me was they said that the movie's are filmed or story-boarded and the director will watch playback with temporary music, sometimes music from other movies that have already been released. The composers said that by the time they are brought in to write the actual music for the movie, the director has "seen the film" so often with the place holder music that that's what they want in the film. So the composers have to write something new that sounds similar to the temp music, instead of having the freedom to create their own music. I wonder if it might be a little of that going on too.
Ooo, I picked up a copy of that art of animation book at a convention a few years ago, still haven't gotten around to reading it though. It's always a shame when book series don't continue. Would be interesting to see a newer version of that series now with todays computer animation included.
I enjoyed the tv series for the most part. A lot of the episodes were based on the original novels, and I loved seeing new adventures for Tarzan. But at the same time, it felt off. The animation was understandably poor (they had only a tiny budget), but the thing that bothered me the most was the way the characters behaved. I know some of it was to make the story work, but they for the most part felt like different characters playing the ones from the movie. Jane was probably the worst, she seemed even less equipped for life in the jungle in the series than she did when she first appeared in the movie. Tarzan and Jane was basically 3 episodes of the series tied together as flashbacks for the story of their 1 year anniversary.
Tarzan 2 was basically an expansion of the Son of Man segment of Tarzan. It had far better animation than Tarzan and Jane (the characters were actually on model!), and the story was pretty cute too. I loved the new songs in it, although they weren't quite up there with Tarzan's songs, it was nice they were able to bring Phil back to write them. Also love that the one was reworked and put in the broadway show.
OMG, thank you!!! I'm still over the moon about that… I keep checking back to see if it actually happened and I didn't just dream it, lol.

for the character ask game, Echo (ofc <3) and 3, 4, and 12?
Echo (my beloved) 🩵🩶
3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?
Probably that he talks so little. I mean, a name like Echo you'd think he'd talk far more than he actually does. I don't think we've heard him repeat something someone says... literally ever in tbb series. Which is... disappointing. That and I'm still really bitter that there wasn't more emotional pay out with Rex when Rex is around. Like... idk... I'm going to be real honest bc I don't really have a filter today. Most of the time canon completely ignores his backstory and personality and it really irks me. Canon really mistreats him 90% of the time and for what? What reason is there to ignore him so much? This is why I love and write and read so much Echo centric fanfiction. It just gives me more of what I'm looking for tbh.
4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?
Genuinely I could not picture Echo in anything else solely because I love him in Star Wars so much. I just adore it. Ya know what I do think would be pretty cool though? Making it so Echo could meet Din Djarin. I think they'd have such a rocky start but Din would recognize that same type of stubborn indignation and exhaustion that he himself carries along with this steadfast passion for his loved ones and he'd be like... shit... he's kind of cool. I imagine Echo does a lot of reading and knows a lot about a lot of different topics and probably could info dump about what he knows about Mandalorians and their culture and he'd question a lot and bring excellent points and ask Din about his upbringing and Din would kind of love that this man talks a lot and he doesn't have to do much in the way of talking. Idk. I just love the idea of those two meeting. It would not go well at first bc Din has... trauma and unresolved issues that he's working through and Echo would wear this man down like you wouldn't believe. They'd bond over losing loved ones and having chosen families and Echo would like Din's jet pack he totally wants some sort of jet pack I just know it. Echo carves out space for himself and finds home everywhere he goes. Din wouldn't stand a chance against that kind of stubbornness.
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
Ooooooh boy so many. I have sooooo many. But! Look. I know everyone thinks Fives is the trouble maker of the two of them but I'm almost 100% sure it's Echo. Echo, who knows every rule like the back of his hand (and can sweet talk his way into the most ridiculous loophole you've ever seen) He got into a fistfight in one of the first episodes we've ever seen him in. He has a dry wit and permanent exhaustion and is dramatic and has Fives as a brother and was in the damn 501st so he knows chaos and he knows it well. Echo and Fives balanced each other out in a lot of ways but I'm almost certain that Echo got them into more scrapes than Fives every did (he's just really good at hiding that he was at fault.) Fives ended up taking the fall 9/10 and he got this reputation as the troublemaker, the outspoken one. Meanwhile Echo gets to have everyone underestimate him so he can very easily manipulate the situation to get them out of trouble when he has to.

My thoughts on the new Pokemon anime coming in 2023
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Earlier today it was announced that after 25+ years, the Pokemon anime will be retiring Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of its cast in favor of a new series with new protagonists beginning in April of next year.
Despite having seen pretty much every one of the 1,000+ episodes of the Pokemon anime (and 20+ movies), I never got all that attached to Ash. I just found him kind of boring and stagnant as a protagonist. Actually, I find the human characters overall to be the weakest part of the Pokemon franchise, at least for the anime (except for Team Rocket, I'll miss them!) Which is why the main reason I've watched the anime all these years is to see the pokemon themselves animated, since the games don't do justice in bringing out their personalities. But there's a reason for why the writing of the Pokemon anime in terms of character arcs and development is lacking when compared to most other anime.
It's a known fact that when the anime first started way back in the late 90s, no one knew what a phenomena Pokemon would become. I don't even think the anime was intended to go beyond one season. But once the franchise burst into worldwide popularity, the anime had to continue of course. But because the video games were what hoisted Pokemon into the phenomena it is today, the anime more or less became a glorified advertisement for the games. This is why the episodes are always so perfectly timed to the release schedules of the games, with Ash and friends beginning their journey in a new region at the same time the new games featuring said region are launched. This is why the episodes are mostly episodic and feature "character of the day" stories so that all the new pokemon, gym leaders, etc, from the current generation have a chance to get an anime debut. And this is why the human characters just can't age and blossom into well-developed and fleshed out individuals - they're restricted by the game-advertising structure of the anime. Ash can't change too much because he has to be reused in each subsequent generation, and the side characters he meets can't be given too many episodes because that time is needed to show off more of the gym leaders, new pokemon, etc, of that region. Some of Ash's companions, like Serena and Iris, do manage to get a decent story arc, but it's still few and far between compared to how many people Ash has met on his journey. While all this has worked fine for the franchise, it does a disservice to the quality of the show in my opinion and makes the Pokemon anime alienating to anyone who's not already a fan. Unlike many other popular franchises, Pokemon has never been about following the story arcs of particular characters, but about a world overall - a world inhabited by hundreds of fascinating creatures and countless kinds of relationships they can have with people and each other. So to forever ignore such great story possibilities in favor of sticking to following a never aging 10-year old who only serves to show off all the different regions and pokemon of the new games, is such lost potential for a big part of the franchise.
But even understanding all this, I've always wondered why they kept Ash around for so long. If the anime is just a means to advertise the games, it would actually make more sense to start each new generation with new characters instead of "rebooting" Ash every time. But since he and Pikachu were the face of the anime when Pokemon was in its heyday, I can see why The Pokemon Company would be reluctant to just toss aside the iconic duo. Since Ash is such a "blank slate" of a character without any complicated backstory and only a vague goal of becoming a "Pokemon Master" (whatever that is) it's easy enough to just insert him into whatever new region is needed rather than having to come up with new protagonists that may or may not be as accepted by fans.
When the latest series, Pokemon Journeys, was released, it was the first real outlier in the sense that it did not take place in the region dictated by the new games, but instead had Ash and friends travel to all the regions in the Pokemon universe. It still made sure to feature the Galar region, including its new pokemon, characters, and gimmicks like dynamaxing, but those weren't emphasized as much as usual. Even the movies of the past few years, while still featuring Ash, rebooted his backstory slightly and let other characters take the spotlight, which was a welcome change in my book and led to two of the best Pokemon anime productions in my opinion: The Power of Us and Secrets of the Jungle movies (both of which prominently feature new characters, with Ash playing a supporting role, which further emphasize how he's been holding back creative possibilities for the anime). All these things pointed towards the fact that even The Pokemon Company was realizing that there really isn't much more to do with Ash as the star of the Pokemon anime. Pokemon has already proven itself to be a well-known part of pop culture. It's even become the highest grossing media franchise of all time, and the games and marketing overall have been branching out more and more over the years thanks to social media and advanced technology, while the anime has remained virtually the same...maybe it finally is time for a change.
Now we don't know much of anything about the new anime yet, but as much as I want a series with the same feel as the many great Pokemon web series that have come out over the past few years, like Pokemon Generations, Twilight Wings, and Evolutions, I have a feeling that won't be the case. We can already see that the protagonists are once again kids around Ash's age starting a Pokemon journey (as opposed to many other ways people and pokemon can relate to each other), and again, the story takes place in the same region as the new games. So most likely this new anime will still follow the same trend of prioritizing promotion of the new games before story freedom. Of course I can't say for sure that this is true yet, but even if it is, there's still a good chance the new anime will have a different tone and overall feel than the old one. It's unlikely its tone will be as serious and mature as Pokemon Origins, Hisuian Snow, or the other spin-off series, but I'm hoping it's willing to take at least a few more risks than the old anime did.
Anyway, I know many nostalgic fans will miss Ash, but I felt he wore out his welcome years ago and I embrace this change with open arms. I'm not expecting this new anime to break any boundaries, but it'll still be an exciting event for this long-time Pokemon fan!

"SURPRISE!!"
Zora's eyes widened once they saw the sight before them. The sign at the new bakery was covered with a banner reading 'GOOD LUCK Z!' The lobby was covered with balloons and the tables were catered with all of the artist's favorite treats and meals. Confettie poppers could be heard from behind the counter where the new Luna family popped up with wide grins.
Two fang toothed children grinned brightly at Zora. Jason and Regine Luna, the two new additions to the family of witches. Like the rest of the Lunas, they had adorable noses though one could see their mother's influence as well. While Jason had a smile similar to his dad's, his eyes were much softer like his mothers. Regine, of course, inherrited those iconic puppy dog eyes that Chris was known for.
A young woman of average height offered a chill yet kind smile, Delainey 'D' Luna (nee' Harris). Like her children, she held a pair of fangs thanks to her vampire lineage. With her hair in braids, she had an look inspired by the 90's celebrity culture. Thanks to a black bandana covering her head that matched the converse on her fee she gave hints of the cool girl, even with the vintage Dungeons and Dragons shirt.
Finally was none other than Christopher Noe Luna, their best friend and planner of said party. Despite a few years passing, Chris still looked the same as the day they met. No doubt thanks to his witch side and maybe a healthy skin care routine.
A smile spreads across their face, "You guys! You didn't have to."
Chris and D could only shake their heads.
"Dude, we gotta. You're literally about to make a big ass step off the planet, it would be wrong if we didn't. Plus, it was their idea." Chris replied, hand ruustling the young Luna's hair.
Zora was then greeted by the family familars of Dee and Lord Quas, happily offering them cuddles. Knowing Quas and his theatrics, he thought this would be the last time he would get a chance to see the family close friend.
Zora was making preps to live off planet, journeying into the beyond. While they didn't know if it would be for good, the Luna's knew they would be gone for a while. As always they had their friends back, even if they would miss them dearly.
The night was filled with food, laughs, reminscing on fond and outright silly memories. Zora let out an uprorious laugh when they told the younger Lunas about how Chris and Delainey met.
"Oh trust me, I'll never forget your dad's face!" Zora laughed. "She literally said and I quote 'I could kill you where you stand'. Now tell me why Chris walks up to me talking about 'I...think I like her."
An embarrassed chuckle comes from Chris while his wife nods.
"Sure did, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw him again. Red roses and a card in his hand. 'Sorry about the misunderstanding...I hope this makes it up to you'." Delainey imitated her husband before giving him a playful nudge. "But he was cute and made it up to me with dinner."
"Then we had dinner or went to a movie every weekend before you...staked your claim on me."
A collective eye roll ensued.
"Oooooooooh brother! This guy stinks!" D laughed with another nudge, making Chris smile.
The youngest, Jason, looked up at Zora. Presenting them with a small wrapped box. Unwrapping the young man's gift, the artist found a box for a CD player along with a homemade CD. In a childish drawing, the cover displayed a picture of him playing ukulele to a planet sized crowd.
"...Um...I made some songs you might like. Like my own but there's also other songs you like on there..."
Z offered him a smile, rustling the adorable dreads on his head. "Oooh! I get the first CD? I'll make sure to keep it so you can sign it once you're famous." they chuckled, bringing an emberassed blush to the boys face.
Regine on the other hand, offered up a drawing. No doubt influenced by the anime her mom watched with her. Depicting the Lunas and Z as characters in an action manga.
"Me and Mom drew all of us as characters in my comic, I'm still figuring out the plot. But you get the first concept art!" Regine grinned.
"Ah! Glad to see creativity runs in the family! I'll make sure to keep this around when I need inspiration." Zora chuckled, pulling the young Luna in for a hug. For a moment, just for a second Z the thought of staying appeared in their mind but they wanted to stick to their plan.
"Well since everyone wanna give gifts or whateva, me and Chris made you a little something too." Delainey said, presenting a medium-sized white box. "A little something for when you go back in a more human form and want to flex on some people."
Curious, Zora opened said box. Inside was a custom carhartt jacket. On the right chest piece was a red and green logo inspired by Tribe's low-end theory album. The back held a design of the various Tribe members in a comic book style, reminiscent of MF DOOM's All Cap video.
"Chris made the designs, I just helped get it onto the jacket. It's a Carhartt so it'll last you a minute." she shrugged.
"Oh...man...this is," Zora took another look. "Beautiful...you guys really went all out on this...! Thank you..."
Chris offered up a smile.
"I mean we had to you're family, Zora. Always have and always will be."
The family said their goodbyes, each giving Zora a hug and promises of seeing each other again. D offers up the bakery as a place to stay if they decide to return before finally leaving the two best friends.
The duo stared at each other for an eternal moment before laughing, though one could see a tear forming in the baker's eyes.
"I knew you were gonna crack first!" Zora teased, making Chris shake his head.
"Nah, I saw you hesitate when Regine hugged you!" Chris replied, hand wiping away the teardrop. They finally embraced one another, Chris offering a squeeze. He knew this day was coming but he still wasn't prepared for it. Chris couldn't help but tear up at his best friend leaving. Despite the oncoming waterworks, the baker finally found the words he wanted to say to his friend.
"...I love you dude, "Chris finally spoke. "I'm gonna miss you, just know that. I don't know if you're gonna come back...but you always got a place here."
Even Z couldn't resist their own oncoming tears.
"I love you too," Z replied. "You guys are gonna be missed too...I appreciate everything you guys did for me. I'll be around at some point. I promise."
