She’d barely had time to properly greet Zodiark and the others before the party started, but Zodiark had mentioned something about the Windwyrm’s recent foul mood. How he showed up weeks in advance to the party without a proper explanation in sight.  --- …Perhaps he was adding a bit of attitude into his words. The Midgardsormr she’d known had always possessed a sharp wit and cutting sense of humor, but in her many years of listening and speaking to all who approached her Mercury knew many used their words to both speak their true feelings whilst saying something completely unrelated. Beyond whatever lay behind his words, however, he was expressing something physically as well. His tail lashed in jerky movements in a classic display of aggression and displeasure among dragons, before he eventually caught himself in check and curled it against the floor as if to keep himself in check.

i'd say yes, absolutely! as a writer, i think it's almost necessary that you relate to each character at least a little bit, even if that character is a villain. sometimes *especially* if they're the villain because they can't be evil in a vacuum and they need grounded motivations or reasons for their actions. also, it makes it so much easier to connect with characters if there's a part of you in there, and if you draw a little bit from what you know, you can go a lot deeper and make the story more authentic.

anyway, if you'd like to know a specific character i relate to, it's shannon lmao. i, too, am an extremely shy weirdo with too much niche knowledge about nerdy topics

I love that fic so much, like I will listen to songs and think about that fic. Most recently, 'Clean' by Taylor from Kie's pov about Sarah, and that lil epilogue scene, ugh so good. There's one song for each chapter, and although they aren't always directly related, I like to listen to it and reminisce. Sometimes the songs are based more on general vibes (or even just the song title) than anything else, but it all works out (and it's the easiest way to remember what happens in which chapter 💀)

Self-Insert Character Introduction

I never really intended to create an actual character profile for my DR Self-Insert, since I’m still working on where they fit into the story of Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc, but since I’ve drawn them before, I might as well introduce her. Might come out with a full character portfolio, but for right now this is all I’m going to put out there.

Fun fact: another reason I didn’t originally plan to create a character introduction for my Self-Insert is because… they are quite literally me. In all honesty, I just didn’t want to disclose a ton of personal information and frame it as “Character Background” “Motives” or “Goals.” Because of that, I will try to keep this brief.

Ok actually imma put it to a vote. For discacc chapter 38, would readers rather have a 6k chapter (aka like half the size of my normal these days lmao) that's pretty complete of an emotional arc & get it in the next day or two, or would you guys prefer I try to get All of this next stuff & end up with a longer chapter that's a two hit wonder for Emotional Stuff. & then no guarantee on update day lmao
