hmmmm it's hard to think of one bc jojo characters have so many Specific traits but if i had to pick one (and here me out) i'd have to go with Sailor Moon. bc like he's just a normal(ish) high schooler until he learns about the magical world he was unknowingly born into and he has just insane power that includes healing people and uses it to help others even when it puts himself at risk, also he loves his friends so much.

MOTHER SERIES TUMBLR EVENT?! ASK-A-PALOOZA INTEREST CHECK

Hello mother series enjoyers!!! Or, more specifically…. hello askblog enjoyers!!!! this event is for you!!

So, here's some background from me: I've wanted to make an askblog for a little while, but the idea of dedicating myself to a single concept/au/whatever is a little daunting (plus I would worry about how long I could keep it going for, etc etc)

Then, after seeing [this post] (hi zhari hi nana!!), my eyes were opened to the idea of temporary askblogs. And I thought wow, that sounds fun and much less daunting :D

SO THEN I thought: why not make a whole event about it? Where a bunch of people turn their blogs into mother series askblogs for a little while!! (You wouldn't have to actually change your whole blog theme of course, just have your askbox open and give some indication to askers that you're participating!!) You could also interact/rp with other askblogs/people participating and it'd be a grand ol' time overall!!

Would anyone be interested in an event like this?

Introducing my fan Splat Band - Shine On, Sea Dogs!

The first pic are their first designs and the head shots are the updated ones.

The super colorful one is Sparkle (she prefers Sparky), a firefly squid with the same ink condition as Yoko (but with more control over the colors) and rainbow vitiligo.

The octoling is Pubby, who's more lovecore than scene. She's got multiple pins holding her afro up

And the Sharkling is Doug, a forty year old dogfish who's only in the band to keep the girls safe from weirdos. (His was design was too perfect to change, he's just a guy and I love him so much.)

Hey mio, I've had a bit of interest in making my own utauloid (with no experience even using utauloids lol) and haven't had much luck finding any good sources, how did you learn to make and use utauloids?

So!! To make a long story very short, I basically had a friend who had gotten into UTAU a little before me and convinced me to record my own library so our characters could sing together.

The thought having awoken something in me, I became so physically fueled by the desire to make it happen that I ended up shoddily piecing together how to download and use the program via trial and error, brute force, a number of crunchy 360p YouTube videos, and plenty of UtaForum threads written by people who were sometimes only barely less confused than I was. It was a very long and messy process that basically came down to "I started on step five and now I'm just frantically researching random steps until I assemble some semblance of a workable staircase."

Not the smoothest process, I'll admit.

But thankfully, the year is no longer 2010, the UTAU community is alive and well, and there are now many, many more English resources available for learning how to rassle this piece of freeware that predates the original launch of Homestuck.

And seeing as I would not be here had it not been for the brute-force efforts of users before me, please allow me this opportunity to slap down so, so many resources for you to check out.

A Reconsecration in Blood and Twilight

Happy Pride to everyone, but especially to my beloved prince in horns Askalaphos and his blackguard, Solar, an NPC from our Ravenloft campaign.

Once a devout paladin of the Morning Lord, then of Mother Night after his death, corrupt rebirth, and subsequent fall from grace as he pursued power no matter the cost in the pursuit of vengeance against Strahd... the aasimar blackguard Solar now learns what it is to be true to his own heart as the newest disciple of Askalaphos, a fallen demigod son of Ares and former slave to the Abyss slowly regaining his own spark of divinity and sense of purpose as he seeks an escape from the mists of Ravenloft. None of this would have been possible, however, had their mutual annoyance friend Rixa not been dead-set on saving the both of them from themselves, despite their belief that this was a hopeless cause... or if they had not joined forces to save her in return when she was captured by her nemesis. A long and dangerous road still lies between them and victory over Strahd, the Dark Powers, and the corruption that stains their very souls, but walk it they shall... after all, nothing worth fighting for is ever easy.

just saying this because i've seen some debate about which teams are and aren't hypocritical or united in their mission or whatever and. of COURSE every team is hypocritical !!! they're made up of many people of different philosophies !! they're teams of circumstance not choice! yes one team member is going to act utterly different to the next !! the individuals are all separate people!

now in the narrative yes, other characters are viewing each other as representatives of their team - that makes sense, it's part of the story and their limited perspectives and their own separate struggles within this literal purgatory lol

but don't you guys forget it! we have the advantage of being able to see the meta pov, and what's clear is that these teams are just people who are pack bonded by being pitted against each other. there isn't any team who is entirely cohesive on what they want. there isn't any team who hasn't been hypocritical or unfair in some way. that's just out of the nature of how the teams were made !

(and really, none of these teams are exempt from having been a bit of a dick from time to time, and pretending otherwise is a little bit silly, right?)

The only thing keeping her from quitting is the rage that burns in her chest. White hot rage that blisters.

Nancy perches in front of the man who tried to kill everyone. Who tried—and nearly succeeded—to kill Robin. Who’s responsible for all of those little girls gone missing, for Eleven. Who’s responsible for nearly tearing the town apart with his ‘scientific genius.’

He stands here in front of her, with a smug smirk tugging at his lips. Nancy clenches her jaw. He thinks he’s won. He thinks she won’t do it. (Nancy has always liked to prove people wrong.)

“Little spider, you’ve lost. You should’ve known better than to come after me.”

Nancy’s stance changes, one leg stretched out, an attack stance. The white-hot rage inside of her speaks, “I know what I got myself into. You should’ve known better, because now all I want to do is kill you myself.”
