It's happening! It's happening, I'm getting out, I'm going to be okay, everything will be okay, and I don't mean to be dramatic, but I'm going to be okay

Tomorrow I'm signing a lease for an apartment! Technically a sublease cuz I'm sharing with a lovely woman named Charlotte. But I get the top floor, she has the bottom floor, the top floor has a living room of its own and I'm in the old master bedroom, which has TWO closets

It's a very cute town and seems surprisingly queer friendly and has the cutest bookshop/cafe and the only bad reviews for it are that there was a pride display and they enforced masks. Those count as good reviews to me btw

It's tiny. There's a library and the aforementioned bookshop/cafe and a little general store with a deli type restaurant in it, and it's surrounded on all sides by nature, I've spent quite awhile looking at Google Street View and exploring it, and I love it

Mostly I love it because I'll be free from my parents. And then it'll be okay. This is something to look forward to. I can breathe. I'll be closer to friends, I can go no contact with my family, and I will be okay. I can't stress this enough. I'm going to be okay.

But now I can breathe #I can literally feel myself breathing easier now that I'm going to be out of their house and away from them forever #And I get to live in a cute little village that reminds me of a Hallmark movie #I don't know where the nearest Target or Meijer is. I think it might just be the one family owned grocery store #I think the biggest corporation owned thing they have nearby is the Culver's #Everything else seems locally owned #And it's not much. There's a library. Community pool and garden. Bookshop/cafe (can you tell I love that?)#A Culver's kind of on the outskirts #I'm living out in the farmland like fifteen minutes from the main part of the village #It's a nice house. It's a nice lady I'm living with. It's a nice village #I did a virtual tour with her today. And my parents have agreed to pay the first month and security deposit. im signing the lease tomorrow #I can honestly feel the stress melting away. I'm getting out. I can breathe. I'm going to be okay. I can't stress that enough #I'm going to be okay

I'm going to live a long life, at least as long as my body will let me. I'm going to be happy. I'm going to be safe. I'm going to love and be loved by somebody, even if I never marry.

I'm going to see Maine. I'll visit Chamberlain and tell him I'm a big fan. I'll find meaning in my life one day and feel like I belong in the space I take up. I'll feel okay about how I look one day. I'll learn to love myself the way others have loved me. I'm going to be okay. I'm going to live.

But I ultimately might would go for the house #JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications #and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe #country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that #country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here #despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically #TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that #part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0 #Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth #or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather #than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in #a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like #$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make #payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or #something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have #paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone #with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have #to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer #than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them #or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into #why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. PSA: i keep seeing posts about staying cool in extreme heat that include advice like "gatorade is bad actually!" and "don't drink fruit juice it'll just dehydrate you!" and neither of these are true!

regarding fruit juice: there's apparently a misconception that Any Sugar At All will dehydrate you, and that's simply not true. yes, sugar will make you pee more when consumed in large amounts, but 1) the natural sugar in fruits won't do this to you 2) great news! a lot of fruit juices exist without any added sugar in them! 3) honestly even having a glass of the fruit juice with added sugar won't completely dehydrate you as long as you're also drinking water throughout the day. if its hot you deserve a cold treat of a drink!!! can't go wrong with fruit juice!!!

regarding gatorade: maybe this isn't an every day drink, but guess what: if it's 110F/40C or hotter outside, and you don't have AC, or you're moving around a lot outside of the AC, and you're sweating buckets: that's when you drink a gatorade.

gatorade exists to replenish all the electrolytes (salt) and glucose (sugar) that you sweat out. YES it is meant for athletes to drink during intensive work outs and not necessarily for people who aren't doing that kind of exercise. BUT GUESS WHAT! when you're sweating buckets because you had to walk to the bus in extreme heat, that's intensive exercise. please feel free to drink a gatorade after that! that's its intended use case!!!!

no: neither of these drinks should be a total replacement for water. but drinking a lot of water and then treating yourself to a fruit juice with lunch is a good idea!!! drinking a gatorade becuase you just had to walk for 20 minutes in the heat is a good idea!!!

Please Stop Spreading Misinformation About Drinks!!! It's fine if you drink things that aren't water!!!! Yes you should probably always be drinking water but drinking something else As Well isn't going to hurt you!!!! okay!!!! its fine!!!!!!

honestly so long as you are consistently getting Any (non-alcoholic) fluids in you, you're doing great!!!!!! okay!!!! i love you stay safe <3
