Does Hyrule mind teaching how to assess a patient??👉👈
"You... want to learn how to assess patients?" Hyrule asked hesitantly.
Wild shrugged. "What if I want to be an EMT?"
"You also said you wanted to be a chef in the hospital."
"I can do both, you know."
Hyrule laughed. "I suppose so. Well... we'll need a patient for this to work."
Wild immediately snatched Sky, who yelped as his friend snaked a hand around his wrist. "Sky's the patient, heaven knows he needs to be looked over anyway."
"Look who's talking, Mr. I-Have-Seizures-and-Don't-Tell-Anybody," Sky grumbled as he was manhandled to sit between the other two.
"Well, everyone knows now."
Hyrule and Sky gave Wild a scalding look. Adequately apologetic, Wild shrugged sheepishly.
"Anyway," Hyrule sighed, shifting his focus to Sky. "Assessments come in different forms. You've got a primary and a secondary assessment. Primary is kind of a general overview and checking for life threatening stuff, secondary is in-depth on what the issue actually is. Make sense?"
Wild nodded.
"Great!" Hyrule continued with a smile. "Okay. Sky's our patient. Sky, you got shot once, right?"
Sky nodded, and Wild balked. "He what?!"
"It was a long time ago," Sky waved a dismissive hand.
"Okay, so that's our scenario," Hyrule said, standing. "We're dispatched for a 21-year-old male with a GSW--"
"That means gunshot wound, right?"
"Yeah. GSW, conscious patient. That's all we've got. So, you get on scene, and the very first thing you do is check for scene safety. If the scene isn't safe, we're not going in. First thing you're taught in EMS - your own safety comes first, because if you're shot you can't help the patient. It's you, your partner, then the patient."
"How often do you actually listen to that rule?" Sky asked, raising an eyebrow.
"That's not what we're learning today," Hyrule waved off easily. It was pretty common knowledge that while he would never put his partner's life at risk, he'd gotten himself into dicey situations before. But he knew how to get himself out of those situations too. "So, we determine the scene is safe. Next, is our primary assessment. The purpose of this assessment is to check for life threatening things, and an overview of major body systems. Neuro status, bleeding, and your ABCs: Airway, Breathing, Circulation.
"The situation is pretty dynamic, like sometimes you walk up and somebody's got an arterial bleed and spurting blood everywhere, your assessment stops right there and you go fix that bleed. But generally you'll have time to do the entire primary assessment."
"Okay, so neuro and ABCs?"
"Yeah. And the good thing is that most of it happens all at once, you know? You walk up to Sky and he looks at you, then boom, you've got a good neuro - he's awake, he's alert. He may not be oriented, but you can figure that out by just talking to him. And by this point you can tell if there's life threatening bleeding. Then it's ABCs - is his airway patent, or open? Is he breathing, and is he doing so normally? Is his skin warm, dry, and normal tone for him? You can literally do al these things by just walking into the room and looking at him for five seconds. The primary assessment is done really fast and, the more times you do it, basically automatically."
"What would be an example of something being wrong?" Wild askd.
Hyrule glanced at him. "When I got on scene for your crash, you were unconscious and unresponsive--in other words, you were not only unconscious, but nothing would wake you up--and your breathing was gurgling sounding because you had blood in your airway."
Glancing at Sky, Hyrule said, "Sky can give us an example of a not great primary assessment, I'm sure."
Helpfully, Sky immediately flopped off the chair he was sitting on, collapsing to the ground with a crash. Wild laughed, and footsteps rushed from upstairs into the living room.
Twilight immediately froze in the entranceway, eyes wide and fixed on Sky. "Sky, what the--guys what the hell is hap--"
Sky perked up immediately. "Oh, sorry! I'm just helping Hyrule teach Wild!"
Twilight froze a moment and then sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose and grumbling under his breath.
Hyrule smiled, pointing at Twilight. "He just perfectly showed a good primary assessment looks like! He walked in and saw the patient down on the ground, tried to figure out a neuro by calling out to him, and when Sky woke up he immediately could tell he was fine. Neuro intact, not bleeding, had a patent airway because he's talking, breathing normally, and skin looks normal."
"I hate all of you," Twilight groaned, walking out of the room.
"Okay, but by skin looking normal... what does it mean when it doesn't?" Wild asked.
"Your skin can tell a story," Hyrule explained. "If you're diaphoretic, which means sweating, something is likely wrong. Though it depends on context - if your patient's sweaty but they were just exercising, it makes sense. If Sky's sweaty on the ground after being shot, he's in shock. If the skin is cool, the body isn't circulating well - that can sap the color right out of your skin - the lighter your skin tone the more notable it is, but darker skin tones can become paler too. A lot of times with darker skin tones you'll want to look at their palms or their lips, that'll help you determine it. Another color is grey - that usually means cardiac and it's bad. So skin can tell you a lot!"
"How did my skin look?" Wild questioned, curious.
"Pale," Hyrule immediately answered. "Anyway. Sky's your patient. Look him over."
"Okay," Wild blew out a breath, approaching Sky and kneeling beside him. "So he's unconscious, that's my neuro so far."
"Can you arouse him at all?"
Wild poked Sky in the neck. Sky flinched. Wild poked again and Sky giggled. Wild's eyes widened in realization, and a mischievous smile crossed his face.
"Wild, wait--"
Sky started laughing hysterically as his friend tickled him, wiggling and trying to shove him away.
"Get--off of m--Wild you jerk--"
Hyrule chuckled. "Well, we're not taught to tickle our patients, but that works."

tamber!!!! what is the number one thing mc could do to rizz up the ros
dylan: when you laugh at her shitty jokes, her heart soars. when you make sure to call her first before anyone else, her love for you sings. she's already putty in your hands; what more do you need? you could show that she's important to you like you are to her: put her first in something. she'll notice.
stéphanie: tell her she's pretty! stéphanie is a deeply insecure creature when it comes to her appearance and doesn't expect anyone to go out of their way to look at her. she wouldn't expect it. alternatively: do the chores and tell her to sit down when she tries to take over doing the chores. she'll ogle and ugly giggle about it.
dorothea: honestly kind of hard to rizz up just because she's oblivious to so many things. ask her to help you—she loves being helpful, and then kiss her (on the cheek, if you aren't so bold) about it. a direct shot to the heart works every time.
[locked]: watch an old movie with her, laugh when you're CLEARLY supposed to (don't worry if you don't think it's funny—it's from the 2000s, you'll know when you're supposed to laugh), or play video games with her and let her win and gloat. basically: allow her to exercise her secret identity as a gigantic fucking nerd and she'll be thinking of kissing you afterwards.

What do you think the Strawhats Pirates' reaction to S-Hawk and S-Crocodile acting more like children the next time they see them?
All in all, I think they'd probably be pretty happy about it. Robin, Sanji, Nami and Chopper especially would be EXCEPTIONALLY pleased, while Usopp, Luffy, and Brook fall immediately into Kids Are Here mode, engaging in playtime and entertainment and fun ((and also hijinks)).
Jimbei would likely be very happy as well, and I think he'd probably also have an aside with Mihawk and Crocodile, given that he knows them a little more than most, and he'd make some sort of statement about how well the kids are doing and that he's pleasantly surprised by how well they're taking to fatherhood.
Franky and Zoro probably react the least obviously, but they're both content with it as well, even if the latter is now facing the mortifying ordeal of having the three kids now fueled by Perona calling him Big Bro and clinging to his legs.
All things considered, it's a nice turn of pace ♡♡♡

hiiii, for the character building questions: 1,2,3,8 & 46 for Valen? 🖤
Hiii thank you so much for the ask! ♡ from this list here
Tumblr media
1. What’s the lie your character says most often?
I think that would be "I'm not bothered by it." It's something Valen tells himself until he believes it when faced with something that does indeed bother him. It's an ability he picked up pretty early on in life and it's because of his dad, Callen. When Valen was a young kid and something would upset him, he would cry easily. Callen would kneel down in front of Valen, grab his shoulders, and tell him "What kinda VP are you going to be if you cry at the drop of a hat? You can't let everything bother you. Toughen up. Or at least pretend you're tough. Convince yourself that it doesn't bother you." So Valen did. He hardly ever cries now and part of his aloof attitude is simply because he convinces himself that he's not bothered by anything.
2. How loosely or strictly do they use the word ‘friend’?
Valen is pretty strict with his usage of 'friend'. It takes quite a bit for him to become attached to someone and he'll really only gravitate towards certain kinds of people. So until he's sure that he can trust someone and they really are who they say they are, then he'll hold off on calling someone friend. A friend to him is someone he's let into his very small inner circle and he doesn't do that very often.
3. How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?
It depends on who he is around. Valen's emotional reactions to most things out in public are reserved. He's not completely stone-faced, though; Valen will show fairly surface level emotions around people he doesn't know in public, but keeps a lot of the bigger, deeper feelings to himself. For example, Valen goes out in the evening to pick up dinner and the person getting his food around cracks a joke about something. Valen'll chuckle along with them and if he's in the mood for it, he might continue the joke.
But, when he's safe with someone who he knows cares about him, Valen will be a little more upfront with his emotions. It took him a long time to feel comfortable showing his emotions to his loved ones, and he still sometimes has a bad habit of minimizing or simplifying them. He grew up with a father (Callen) who really only fostered certain emotions in his son; anger, disgust, devotion, disdain, contempt, rage, superiority, and love in a very twisted sense. Sadness, worry, fear, gentleness, and affection were not encouraged and sometimes were even punished if Callen caught Valen expressing them.
So, Valen had to re-learn how to show those emotions once he was free of his dad and he still struggles to this day with some of them, though he has put great effort into becoming self-aware and controlling his emotions. By that I mean he's learnt how to feel his emotions without letting them control him and he knows how to use them to his advantage. Sometimes he slips up and his emotions will get the better of him. Valen is at his most volatile when his control breaks and his actions become fueled by emotion.
8. How loose is their use of the phrase ‘I love you’?
About as loose as a bolt that's been rust-welded onto a 50 year old nut. Valen does not use the term loosely, though that's not to say that he doesn't love anyone. Valen loves very deeply and there's many people that he does love more than himself. His husband is at the top of that list. It also holds Vesper, Vega, Reid, Nikita, Noel, Ilya, and so on. Valen loves them enough that he'd be willing to kill and die for them. He just struggles to say that out loud. It eventually becomes easier for him, but Valen is much better at expressing that love through actions. He's a guard dog, he's happiest when he's acting in service to someone he loves. Valen submits to the people he loves in the same way that guardian dogs submit to the sheep they protect. That's how you'll know he loves someone.
46. Are they a listener or a talker? If they’re a listener, what makes them talk? If they’re a talker, what makes them listen?
Valen is very much a listener most of the time. He much prefers to attach himself to people who can do enough talking for the both of them. But that's not because Valen is shy or socially inept, far from it. He's fully capable of chatting with strangers and doesn't get anxious in public. He's just introverted and has spent most of his life observing and listening as means to stay one step ahead of other people. Valen works in fields where being reserved and vigilant is more important than being chatty.
Even when he's not working or actively involved in gang work, Valen still lets his talkative counterparts take the lead. He's more than happy to let his chatty husband or chatty brother do all the talking to strangers while they're out and about.
That being said, Valen will get more talkative when he's around people he loves and focusing just on them. For example, when he and his husband are at a restaurant and they've sat down, then he's happy to chat because it's just him and his husband. Or, if he's in a group of people he's comfortable with he'll become more chatty. He just needs to feel comfortable around the people he's with for him to turn to talking and joking rather than observing.

Ryoji doesn't know what's wrong with him.
Being here with Makoto makes him happy. Living makes him happy. He's moved to a new school and had the chance to meet all kinds of new people, to be a part of their lives; to learn about the world he knew so little about until now.
So why does he feel like he's about to cry? It's getting harder to breathe. There's a feeling he's been trying to suppress that's threatening to overwhelm him now - the sense that something's horribly wrong, like time is running out and there's something missing that he needs to know - but he doesn't want to know it. Is it his fault? He doesn't know why that question comes to mind, but somehow he's sure that it is.
His fault. Something bad is coming. ...It's not like he doesn't know it's irrational - when he looked up his feelings online, trying to make sense of them, he read all about anxiety and how it can strike people without reason at the worst of times - and how just because his feelings are screaming at him, that doesn't mean those feelings are right. It should be a comfort to know that, so why...? Why does it still hurt so much to see the things that should make him happy?
Tumblr media
"Makoto...?" Ryoji manages to stammer out Makoto's name as he notices that he's no longer alone. When did that happen? ...This won't do - he doesn't want to worry anyone, least of all Makoto, but he feels like he's about to start shaking...
"Ah... I'm sorry. You caught me at a bad time. I promise I'm fine!"
@ochazos ( starter for makoto! )

Despite me not knowing much abt twisted wonderland I am obsessed with the way you write for that guy 😭
Includes: soft/safe-ish vore, biting, blood, ambiguous ending
★✦A Midnight Snack✦★
☆゚.*・。゚☆゚.*・。゚☆゚.*・。゚☆゚.*・。゚☆゚.*・。゚
You live a very quiet, usually peaceful, life in a building far too large for you. You find it quite nice, despite knowing your life could be in danger if you mess up at all and get seen by the... other people who reside here.
They're much bigger than you. They're basically giants, at least compared to you. Those people... don't take too kindly to people of your size. They seem to think of people as small as you as pests...
But that's fine. You deal with it just fine. Or at least, as well as you can. You often find the remains of people like you scattered about the place you call your home. It's hard to see that... but you deal with it as well as you can...
You only go out when you're sure those giants are all asleep...
But tonight...
Tonight was... different.
When you went out to get food, you saw... him.
"Oh my, what a surprise..." He kneels down in front of the counter to speak with you. "How small you are... I thought we had gotten rid of all of you... but you seem to have proven me wrong. Hello there, little one. Who might you be?"
"...(Y/N)." You decide to cautiously respond.
"Interesting, my name is Jade." He suddenly grabs you. "(Y/N) really is a lovely name... it really suits someone like you." He suddenly smiles, showing off his serrated teeth. "It's a shame no one will remember you."
Well... this was bound to happen sometime. You couldn't have kept hidden forever...
You're trying your hardest to stay calm... quite unfortunately, it doesn't work out too well.
"A-alright, hey, l-listen, y-you're not actually going to kill me, r-right-?" You nervously ask.
"Kill you?" Jade laughs boisterously. "Ahh, you're mistaken, little one. I'm not going to kill you, no, I'm going to eat you! And sure, that very well may lead to your death, but I assure you, it is not my intention!" He smiles politely.
"I-I'd really rather you not do that, r-regardless of what your intentions are..."
"Oh, if only I cared."
Jade gently lowers you down into his mouth, biting down on one of your legs. He applies pressure, slowly, slowly, slowly, as you struggle to escape his grasp.
It starts off feeling like a small prick as the tips of his sharp teeth poke into your calf... then, as the pressure increases, you begin to panic more and more.
Blood trickles out from the spots he bites down on... it runs down his teeth and drips slowly down onto his tongue. He smiles wildly and the pupils of his eyes dilate as he tastes your blood.
Then... he bites down on your leg as hard as he can, severing it from your body.
You scream out in unbearable pain as he sets you back down on the countertop. He quickly pulls out his magic pen and casts some kind of healing spell on you, almost instantly healing your leg to the point where the severed point is no longer an open, bleeding wound.
"Oh, do be quiet, little one. As much as I love hearing your screams and cries..." He closes his eyes, and swallows the part of your leg he just bit off. "Mmm... fufufu... we wouldn't want to alert anyone else to this fun we're having, would we~?"
Panicked thoughts race through your head, not a single one of them being coherent. There's only one real thought. Run. But you can't. You can't move even the slightest bit, all you can do is stare upwards at him in fear of this... predator.
"I have an idea, (Y/N)... I do so enjoy it when my prey decides to run from me... it's always so fun, seeing them think they have a chance of escaping me..." He smiles, and reaches for you. "Of course, I doubt you'll be able to get very far in your current state... but it would be so fun to see you try and escape. You know what? I'll give you a head start. You can have 10 seconds before I start chasing you! Go on, little (Y/N)~"
He begins to count down.
You can't move.
You can't bring yourself to move.
You're paralyzed in fear, even though every cell of your tiny body is SCREAMING at you to get out of there as fast as you can...
But you just can't move.
"...3... 2... 1..." Jade pauses for a moment, staring down at you. "Hm. What a shame. You didn't move at all. Oh well, that just makes it easier for me, I suppose."
Jade picks you up once more as you try to say something, anything... all you can let out is a pathetic whimper, however. How unfortunate.
He places you into his mouth, almost sucking on you like a hard candy before he swallows you down whole...
You're terrified. It's warm and dark and wet and you keep getting squished and squeezed as you're slowly pushed downwards...
His voice is muffled by the layers of flesh between the two of you... but you still hear him.
"What a wonderful midnight snack you were, (Y/N). And you were so cooperative, too~"
The air stings your eyes... it's hard to breathe...
"You know, you were quite fun to play with... maybe I'll let you out... maybe I'll let you live, just so I may play with you again sometime..."
You try to regain your balance, but you can't hold on to any surface without it stinging your hands and having your hands slip right off the walls you tried to hold...
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?"
You don't really know how much longer you can keep your eyes open... it gets harder and harder to breathe...
"I'll think about it. But of course, don't count on it. For now, get comfortable, because I don't know when or if I'll be letting you out. Have fun, little (Y/N)~"
...
You slowly close your eyes, hoping he decides to spare you.

Aha- yes you can non, and I'm so sorry for the wait!! (Honestly I'm not even sure if you'll still be around, so I'm really really sorry if you're not~ But thank you so much for the praise, and the request~)
1.8k words, prompts 32, 46, and 52, story under cut!
32. “Are you sick?” 47. Hiding sneezes  52. “Did you just sneeze?”
~~~~~~~
There are moments that Wolfwood would swear Vash is born of the suns.
A muffled thud pulls Wolfwood from his coffee induced trance. Stumbling into the kitchen, Vash appears to have walked straight into a wall. Eyes half closed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, the only response to this abrupt chance of pace is a yawn.
“Mornin’,” Wolfwood laughs, the greeting nearly knocking Vash off his feet. As the messy hair tilts in his direction, he notes the sweater hanging around Vash’s shoulders. “Ain’t that mine?”
It’s a rhetorical question, and they both know it. Wolfwood acquired said hoodie a few months back after some particularly intoxicated gentleman tried to purchase his jacket with it. The refusal was met with some slurred ‘k’p it an’way’ from the form stumbling out of the bar.
The sweater was much too loose on Wolfwood, the gifter having stood at least two heads taller. Still, Wolfwood was never one to toss out something of possible use, so the hoodie found itself stashed in some corner of a motel closet. It wasn’t until a chance encounter left Wolfwood staying in the same room a few years later that the sweater made its reappearance.
“Hey Nico, someone left a jacket in here!”
“Hm? Oh. Forgot about that.”
“Wait, this was yours? I didn’t know you’d been here before!”
“I’ve been ‘lot of places, blondie.”
The second he’d put it on, Vash’s entire face had lit up. The sleeves hung far past his hands, flapping at each movement. He spent the next couple hours just waving them around, convulsing with a laughter that left even Wolfwood smirking. It quickly became his nightshirt, though he’d normally be changed out of it by now.
“Makin’ a fashion statement today, are we?” Pulling his mind back to the present, Wolfwood catches up with his mouth, gesturing to the outfit.
Vash seemingly attempts a response. Instead, he only succeeds in a strangled noise that leaves them both wincing. With a light cough into his sleeve, he clears his throat and tries again. “Morning! Sorry about that.”
Raising an eyebrow, the silence echoes through the room. Wolfwood’s learned by now that commenting on the apology only leads to a never ending loop of ‘quit ‘pologizing’ followed by Vash’s instinctual apologies for apologizing.
“Want some?” Wolfwood offers instead,gesturing to the coffee leaving trails of steam drifting through the chilled morning air. The response is a chuckle, Vash shaking his head in time with his sleeves.
There’s a slight shake in his legs, accompanied by his fingers fidgeting through the holes in his sleeves. Once he picks up on this, Wolfwood’s eyes soften. Yeah, definitely not a coffee day. Vash can handle it occasionally, but if he’s feeling heightened anxiety already, caffeine tends to leave him jumpy.
 It’s been a good week. Relatively calm, no angry mobs chasing him out of town. Hardly surprising he woke up anxious. Seems the universe can never cut the poor guy a break. If he has even a moment of peace, something has to come along to ruin it.
Wolfwood reaches up, lazily grabbing Vash’s hand and begins to rub soft circles against his palm. Vash gives him a soft smile in return, sinking into the chair closest to his and pouring out a serving of juice.
He’s barely taken a sip before a far off look consumes his eyes. Wolfwood squeezes his hand. Not a word spoken, but a question asked. Vash answers in the form of a hum, laying his arms on the table and resting his forehead against them.
“Gon’ suffocate like that, needle noggin,” Wolfwood says, noticing Vash’s shoulders shake lightly. Laughter? Didn’t think it was that funny. After a moment Vash emerges, mist lining his eyes. Okay it can’t have been that funny. Maybe… crying?
“Y’alright?” Despite the rough grammar, his tone is soft. Gentle in a way the blue-eyed dipshit just seems to pull out of him. Despite countless attempts to maintain just a touch of his previously rough exterior.
Vash shakes his head, which Wolfwood takes to mean no. Before he can ask any further questions, he realizes he misinterpreted the action. Vash’s eyes remain hazy, his metal arm raising to meet his face as he flinches against the back of it.
“tnsshiew-!”
“Blessin’,” Wolfwood pauses, analyzing the man sitting in front of him. There’s a pinch to Vash’s brows, his teeth beginning to show as gasps fall from his lips. The light reflecting from drops hanging off his lashes matches the metallic sheen coating his hand. “More?”
“Y- yeah…” Vash manages to choke out. One breath, two, and he ducks again, this time his voice crackling through the pitchy sounds. “in’kasshhiew-! hh’akkshihiew-!”
“Another blessin’.”
“Thanks,” Vash smiles, raising his other hand to swipe away some stray drops migrating down his cheeks. After a breath he pipes up again with a “Sorry-” before seeming to catch himself, and trailing off into a light cough. His knee brushes against Wolfwood’s as it resumes its trembling, dipping in rapid succession as the table shakes.
Wolfwood reaches down, placing his hand against Vash’s leg. Meeting his gaze, the tone used is lower. “You okay? If somethin’s the matter, you know you can tell me.”
Blushing under the scrutiny, Vash lets a sniff escape before verbalizing his response. “Yeah, sorry, I’m alright.”
“If you’re sure.”
“Yeah, definitely,” Vash nods enthusiastically, though Wolfwood clocks the way he flinches at the movement. “I’m gonna sit on the couch, put a little music on, you wanna join?”
Pressing a kiss against Vash’s temple, Wolfwood stands, heading towards the sink to rinse his mug. Not waiting for a more solid answer, Vash heads off towards the radio with a touch more speed then he should have this early.
A sweet melody begins to swirl through the air, followed by a muffled sound Wolfwood can’t quite make out. Electing to ignore it, he hums along with the rising beats, settling into the couch next to Vash. A few words slipping out as the song begins to slow again, he raises his arm so Vash can settle against his chest.
The singing soon fades away, a light instrumental taking its place. Wolfwood feels his eyes begin to shut, starting to drift off. The light in the room dulls as a few clouds cover the suns, everything bathed in a peaceful haze.
A sudden jerk snaps the room back into focus.
“What w’s that?”
“Sorry,” Vash shrugs, snuggling deeper into Wolfwood’s chest. “Arm fell asleep.”
“Oh, s’all?” Clearing the sleep from his voice, Wolfwood lets his chin rest against Vash’s hair, breathing in the floral notes. As the rise and fall of his chest leaves them both slightly rocking, Wolfwood lets his eyes shut again. Still, a nagging suspicion keeps his consciousness focused on the form in his arms.
Sure enough the shudder comes again, this time with an audible “engnkt-!”
Gazing down, Wolfwood leans back to get a clearer view of Vash’s face. “Did you just sneeze?”
Vash’s eyes are cloudy, his fingers still pinched round his nose. “S- sorry… I’b dot… dot fidished…. hH’ingkt-!”
Letting his lips meet Vash’s forehead, Wolfwood whistles. The warmth is low enough that it was easily missed earlier. Combined with the shivers bounding through the frail form huddling in his arms, the fever is obvious.
“Let ‘em out, blondie. Can’t have you blowin’ a fuse on me.”
There’s no reply, but considering the panting, it’s not for lack of desire. Wolfwood feels his heart skip a beat as Vash’s canines peek out from between his lips. It’s not unusual for his teeth to show in a smile, but Vash isn’t the type to snarl, so watching them get bared is a rare pleasure. Dropping his fingers, Vash aims for cupped hands, spinning himself towards the couch.
“hh’kNZSHhuh-! hk’PTZSHh-! ARKSHh’oo-!”
“Bless,” Wolfwood chuckles, the harshness never failing to get a jump outta him. They’ve never seemed fond of being held back, reaching a vocal quality the timid man producing them seems utterly incapable of.
“Thagks.”
“Are you sick, or is somethin’ settin’ you off?” Brushing loose strands from Vash’s forehead, the heat seems to have rapidly increased. “You feel a bit warm.”
“It’s not-” Whatever denial Vash was attempting to produce fades away as his voice breaks, leaving him descending into a rough cough. He begins to lean away, attempting to aim himself towards the floor instead. A squeak breaks free as he slides towards the edge of the couch, only being saved as Wolfwood grabs his arm.
“Vash.”
The coughs halt immediately at the name, Vash’s head swinging around to face Wolfwood. The look that he gives could melt anyone, okay? It’s not a him problem, no one could resist those puppy-dog eyes. No one.
“You sick?”
With a faint nod, Vash sniffles again. His eyes begin to swim, lip quivering with what seems to be only half irritation. He knuckles his nose, a light huff slipping out. It’s obvious it wasn’t aimed at anyone but himself.
“That’s not a crime, blondie,” Wolfwood pauses to cup Vash’s cheek, thumbing away a stray tear. “ I’m not gon’ be mad at you for gettin’ ill.”
“B- but… if I get you sick, I’ll be mad at myself.”
Wolfwood chuckles, a smirk breaking loose as the corner of Vash’s mouth twitch up. He’s never been able to hear someone else’s laughter without joining in. “I won’t let you. Jus’ means you’ll get a chance to take care of me back.”
 “Back?” Vash pipes up, tilting his head in one of his many acts of pure innocence. Ironic, given all he’s capable of. Ever the walking contradiction.
“Yup. Starting right now, you’re under my care.” Wolfwood grins, starting to sit up. Vash feigns a shudder, earning himself a light slap upside the head. Still, Wolfwood doesn’t miss the way his leg is bouncing again.
“Vash.”
Those eyes turn to look at him again.
“I love you.”
Vash pales, the rose stain against his cheeks blooming up to his ears. It doesn’t matter how many times it’s said, blondie always reacts as if it’s a revelation. “I love you too, Nicholas.”
Wolfwood slides onto the floor, standing up and pulling Vash close in one graceful movement. Suddenly playful, he lets his lips brush against Vash’s ear. “That’s my shirt, ya know.”
Vash hums, leg going still. “Need to take it off me?”
Wolfwood grins, lips greedily meeting Vash’s. He sighs against the feeling, the world dissolving away as the two draw closer until even they can’t tell where one ends and another begins.
Finally Vash pulls away to direct a “knshhiew-!” into his collar.
Catching his breath, Wolfwood addresses the earlier question. “For now, you can keep it. At least until you’re better. In case you need some motivation.”
The laughter that follows pulls the air straight from Wolfwood’s lungs.
There are moments that Wolfwood would swear Vash is born of the suns.
@marriageproposallola liked for a starter!
Thriller Bark was the last place where this reckless crew of pirates had seen Lola and the pirates before they went their separate ways. It was unknown if there was a chance they could cross paths again because of how large the ocean was. They have come across many familiar faces throughout this journey, some of them being enemies and some of them being friends. Lola was one of the many pirates who they considered to be a friend which Luffy would agree to because of the time spent on that floating island.
That island was a place filled with celebration and horror because of the presence that decided to appear in front of them. Kuma was a living nightmare.
According to Nami, this island was their next stop which was a relief to Sanji since it would give him a chance to restock on what was needed. This island seemed to be a popular spot for pirates though because of how many ships were anchored in the dock waiting for their crews to return to their floating home. He knew that they would have to be careful since it was unknown who exactly was here even though there were a few familiar ships he could spot already. Crews that they have met since the start of this long journey.
Tumblr media
He had met Lola’s sister while traveling to meet Big Mom and his family knowing that he had seen her familiar face somewhere before. It wasn’t until later that he learned about them being twins while Lola had her reasons for leaving. She didn’t want to be tied down to this place through an arranged marriage. The same situation that Sanji found himself in before Luffy came to rescue him, it was because of Luffy that he was able to return to this floating home of his.
It seemed that this was the place they were going to meet as Sanji was the one who ended up finding her first. Lola was their friend, she was their ally while it wouldn’t be surprising if she managed to hear what had occurred at Whole Cake Island and Wano. The news quickly spread across the waters about the events that decided to unfold causing Luffy to be named as the next Emperor of the Sea. He didn’t know how Lola would react to the news while it was obvious that she probably didn’t have a good relationship with her mother.
“Lola, it’s been awhile. I never thought we would cross paths again like this.”
“Okay, look, I hate Hyperion as much as the next . . . mildly sane guy, pumpkin, but I think you’re forgetting one teensy but, like, very important detail about any place that handsome bastard so much as sneezed on.” Well . . . No, because, full disclosure, Timothy had the notion Jack didn’t actually know where all his shit was despite calling himself a CEO once upon a time (and this depot could’ve been after his time, anyway . . . ); whatevs, the point is that anything with his obnoxiously yellow color scheme basically still reeked of his bullshit, which meant:
“Abandoned or not, that place is still gonna have security. Like, uh . . . the shooty kind? The ‘Oh no! I just put my foot down in the wrong place at the wrong time, so now some lockdown protocol is happening and we’re trapped’ sort of shiznat . . . ? I-I— I can’t do that again. I really can’t. I mean I could . . . technically, but it, uh, really wouldn’t be a pretty sight. I’m just sayin’.”
And you may be wondering, Well, Mr. Hero, she really wasn’t inviting you to come with her, now was she? To which Timmy would say . . . Something. Clever. When he managed to think of something clever, so hold that thought.
He sighed in spite of himself, a sigh that made it seem like he had absolutely no choice here when he very literally was making one right now. “Buuuut, since you seem like the . . . can’t be convinced type—about this specifically—then at least . . . Ugh. All right. Take me with you. If absolutely nothing else, then maybe I can recognize some of the tech there and make sure we don’t set anything overly kaboom-y off that’ll blow us to pieces.”
I'm curious, how would you think Momakase's relationships with other villains would look like if she were to meet them? (Specifically villains that she didn't meet in canon, I'm obsessed with this topic btw)
there are a handful of villains she hasn't interacted with, but i'm just going to give my take on what would happen with Sirque and Cobra because they're the more "serious" ones ('Kase would at least refrain from straight-up BULLYING them... remember Globby 🫡)
Sirque ❤️🤍
i feel like Momakase wouldn't mind collaborating with Sirque. she's an intelligent physicist and a notorious thief (admirable qualities 🤭) but a part of Momakase is still really competitive, so she's definitely pulled off some stunts just to show off her strengths. Sirque would find it entertaining and sit back to enjoy the show, but maybe even do her own little thing if she's in the right mood. they can roll like that 💃💃
they're dangerous as a duo, stealing and slicing things left and right, but neither is putting in their 100% when it comes to trusting each other. Sirque's aware that Momakase has no problem with backstabbing (e.g. Yama 😐), and Momakase believes Sirque could get away with anything (sis can teleport hellooo). once they resolve their little trust issues and become official partners in crime, it's over for y'all 🔥🔥🔥
Cobra 🐍🖤
Cobra was working with snakes her whole life or something, so it would be a nice change of pace if she hung out with someone who's got more... limbs to offer (?)
they seem pretty similar when it comes to behavior, so i feel like they'd click a lot faster... but they'll probably poke and prod into each other's businesses a lot. nosiness is inevitable when it comes to characters like these. 🤷‍♀️ let's read the list: Cobra fell into a volcano... Momakase was temporarily a catgirl... they both met Fred... lots of stuff to unpack 😮‍💨
as a duo, i'd probably fear them with my life, and so would the entire population of San Fransokyo. i can see them getting personal on some level, but like like with Sirque, there's definitely some trust they need to form before they're able to just hang out casually☝️
Joseph is just going to give his dear old Uncle a great big hug for the coming winter months. Not only that but a beaming smile too as he laughs proudly and totally did NOT plant a sticky note on Speedwagon's back saying he's the best uncle in the world.
The silent hug from Joseph is welcomed by the old man with literal open arms. Speedwagon hugs the younger and much taller male back, giving him a wholehearted hug that rivals Joseph's in warmth too. It's mindblowing how tall his dear Joseph has gotten over the last few years! Despite not being much like his grandfather in regards to overall personality, Joseph definitely has Jonathan's genes and it shows. It's not that Robert hadn't noticed how tall Joseph had grown, because he did, it's just that it always becomes a lot more evident when they share a moment like this.
"That was really sweet, Jojo." Robert says with a smile that reflects that fondness he has for the youngest Joestar. One of his hands goes to pat the top of Joseph's head, ruffling the young man's hair just a little, fondly, like he always would when Jojo was little and the two spent hours playing together or reading comics and stories about fantastic heroes,and so on.
"I really appreciate it. Thank you, dearest."
So here's the thing. Anna is pretty sure she remembers this kid - even if the last time she saw him, he was wearing a ridiculous costume and didn't have much to say to her personally. But he seemed like the cheerful type - a bit naive, maybe a bit stupid, too - she'd threatened him and held him up by the throat, even!
But it's not like she ever gave him much thought. Now, though, he seems like he's a totally different person. Like his personality's done a complete 180! There has to be a reason for it, and it's driving her a little crazy every time someone in Heartland Academy mentions him, so stumbling upon him now... she can't help it.
Tumblr media
"You!!" she yells, bold and audacious, clearly not giving a shit if anyone stops to stare. "Shingetsu! Or is it Vector? What's your deal, anyway!?"
