I hope my three day trip with my friends will finally put my mind at peace. I just feel so lonely...
#pen rambles#not the kind of lonely i'm missing out on ppl#more like the kind of lonely i enjoy this one thing by myself#it's probably my fault for keeping my hopes up for a bit#and yes i'm being v dramatic for still getting hung up on it#i don't really have another place to vent on this (and i really hope this is the last from here)#a part of me wants to blame something#i think it's lame and tiring going back to 'gl chp 11 must be that bad' and dragging myself down bc of the lack of reception#but i wouldn't feel this way if i didn't care a lot abt it#i still love that chapter#i still love gl a lot#it got me through rough times. i almost lost my job bc of my health issues#and i couldn't stop writing for it even when commuting got so bad or i couldn't sleep or eat properly for days#so if you love it so much why can't you just suck it up and be content with that?#i'm trying really haha#it just gets lonely loving it sometimes#esp when you decide to share it#i always feel like i'm talking to myself (which isn't very far off tbh)#i'm still going to write but i just hope this feeling wears off soon#okay! i'm done whining and i'll be disappearing again

#kingdom hearts#kh#ahh this one was so hard to draw; i never know how to combine a bunch of scenes in one picture without it looking cheesy#just threw a bunch of waves and leaves and birds on top and called it a day haha. it might be a bit too busy though#the white line going up the center is supposed to be a trail left behind by the gummi ship! it connects to the ship in the bg at the top#it's kinda meant to evoke little kids dreaming of other places-> getting older and earnestly making the raft to try to reach the dream#->the gummi ship as a premonition of how they'd actually reach the dream in the future. i guess? idk how to explain#and i really wanted to have kairi's expressions be really similar but changing subtly from wonder to worry when she's older#the boys are just max enthusiasm the whole time#but yeah. something something Symbolism and hopefully it's at least kinda pretty if it doesn't make sense#i'm just super proud to have been part of this project! everyone's work is just amazing#the destiny kids give me this soft feeling of kinda lonely nostalgia. it's nice to have a book full of that#very wistful looking through it#fan art#my art#project stuff

I unfortunately can't find the poll about locaring the US-States, but it inspired me to do a poll about locating countries in the EU. We never had to learn the US states (obviously, I guess), but we did have to learn the countries at some point, so I'm really curious.

disclaimer: this is a first attempt test with no prep, so if you do poorly, don't feel bad. I find this site is a very helpful tool when it comes to learning where countries in general (or US states) are located, and if you're interested in it, you'll get better in no time! I promise! :) Knowing where certain countries are located makes it a lot easier to understand historical events, cultural influences and contemporary politics, which makes it useful and fun. This isn't a marker for intelligence and this poll isn't intended to be condescending or mean-spirited.
#btw I was incredibly bad at geography#I remember getting maybe 5 countries on that test because I hadn't been aware#that we'd be tested on them. it was awful haha. one of my core memories from school.#so trying to learn them now is really important to me to overcome that shame#BUT I still did poorly when I did it for the first time after a long break the other day. I got like 55%#the small countries by greece really did a number on me :( very shameful#BUT at this point I'm at a solid ~80%!!!
