for now, she is content to approach the one failing ( or refusing ? ) to conform to those aforementioned fireside rambles, subtly excused from the group to ( she presumes ) reap some fresh air. above them, the moon gleams brightly in an opalescent sky. it is full, pregnant with light. she envies it. caught for a brief moment enraptured with that all - encompassing lunar presence, she permits but a harshening of her jawline for a moment before resuming her train of thought. she wonders, does the moon enthrall you as deeply as it does i ? could kinship be possibly found in these outsiders welcomed into their not so humble abode ?

❛ the castle grounds can be home to some . . . unsavoury guests at this hour. ❜ she is all teasing and allure, a half - crescent curling her rouged lips in an effort to coax some level of camaraderie. really, her curiosity lies in his being here — both in the literal sense of the outdoors, escaping the slowly livening murmurs of regals and academics excitably discussing, but also what his role is in this delegation. what motivates, excites, intrigues. show thou heart unto me. ❛ we wouldn't want you getting lost so early into your stay. ❜ the countess stands adjacent to him now, taking in his taller stature with a tilt of the head. an unspoken question mark. a tinge of hope. of opportunity.

good morning pals!! i'm finally here and ready to do a lil writing B) i might start off editing my muse list, though we'll see! i'm thinking about reorganizing it by fandom/genre and then categorizing muses by primary, secondary, and tertiary bc i feel that might be a lil easier when figuring out what muses could interact. might change my mind, though, considering i don't dip my toes in many fandoms atm uvu

aside from blog maintenance, i'm gonna bug a few of you who liked my post the other day, and that means a mixture of asks and bite-sized starters, depending on how my brain decides to operate today! and then... maybe i'll peak at my drafts and inbox. slightly tempted to wipe the slate clean bc i know i get overwhelmed, but i also know that there's some stuff waiting on me that i can't resist answering :' ))

It means a lot knowing there are others out there who also enjoy the Destiny Bond comic as much as I do making it - I honestly often worry about my writing as I tend to fall into that 'talking heads' or long-dragging-bits-of-dialogue style, especially when it comes to the way I let characters speak and deliver exposition. It's what comes naturally for me I suppose, along with my subconscious decision to panel things like a long-scrolling webtoon, hehe --- but it means the world knowing that you think I've written them well. 🥺🙏✨

And about my linework as well aaaaa that means the world to me !!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ I think that's why these panels tend to take a while- I like to guarantee that my lineart is polished and flowy enough to my liking, though I do end up overthinking stuff as a result ^^;;

I'm still learning as I go along, so rest assured I am always consciously doing my best to improve in any way I could with every new update! I only want the best for our beloved Johto mystics, after all 🌟💫

seated at the edge of... someone's pool, a chill works its way up chiyo's spine, but she pays it no mind as she dips her fingers in the waters. the feeling soothes her despite the cold, grounds her in a way. it's something else to focus on rather than the music and raised voices attempting to be heard over one another. while she can't turn down her friends when they ask her to come along, chiyo can't deny that parties aren't exactly her scene -- at least not parties on this scale. it's too easy to get lost in the crowd, too easy to feel overwhelmed and out of place among so many strangers. it's even easier to find herself trapped in a conversation with someone she'd rather not talk to.

chiyo sighs as she thinks of the last hour. yeah, she needed to get away for a minute.

the noise from inside the house pours out as a door opens, and chiyo turns to see rayo's familiar face. her shoulders relax. " hey, " she smiles, flicking water off her hand ( the tips of her fingers are rosy now, a little stiff ).

" did you want to be alone? "

chiyo hums, tucks her hands in her lap. " not so much alone as just... away from everybody else. i just needed a breather. " she turns to rayo again, a playful tilt to her mouth. " i guess you can stay if you promise you won't ask me what i'm into and pretend to be interested. nobody's as good at acting as they think they are. "

There’s something to it— to be wanted in such a way. You’re not used to it. You’re not use to accepting someone’s desire for you. To be perched in someone’s lap, someone you equally desire? Feels like a new experience, even if you had been in this position at some other point.
