Okay, to be completely honest, yeucc sort of rubs me the wrong way

Idk, there are a lot of things tho

Maybe it's the fact that they let their mods and devs get away with literally anything, including bullying their fans and slandering minors over the stupidest shit and they get Zero repercussions. (Both Gregoriah's VA and soda_stuff are KNOWN for being controversial as hell for different reasons, but yeucc still keeps them on the team for god knows why)

Maybe it's how weird the age change for Gnarpy is, since xe went from being a canonical minor to 'up for interpretation' which just feels so fucking weird to me, plus the fact that Gnarpy looks So Much Younger now with the new proportions and model, but that last bit may just be me simply nitpicking (dont even use the 'xey're an alien!!' excuse, you sound like people who say 'they look like a toddler but theyre actually 1000 years old)

Maybe it's the fact that yeucc is trying to make people credit them for the concept of a fucking elevator game when all they did was add the NPC shit, and even then the normal elevator did it first with The Big Cheese

Maybe it's the fact that yeucc blames their fanbase for weird decisions when I've heard literally NOBODY talking about that shit (looking at you, changing the R6 models. If they were to listen to the majority of the fanbase instead of like the handful of people who think R6 models are bad, then they wouldn't be doing this)

Maybe it's the fact that bro was So Fucking Proud of themselves for tricking their entire fanbase into becoming attached to Melanie, just to kill her off before she even got into the game. No, that's not writing a narrative, it's just being weird to ur fans and I guess attempting to make some weird fucked up ARG??? even tho it wasn't at all handled correctly. (There are SOOO many better ways they could have gone about it, but nope. And again they were so smug and cocky about it, like dude???)

If the Dandy's World fandom can look at Rox and want them to take accountability, Regretevator fans should too even if yeucc's crimes against humanity arent 'as bad'. 

Maybe they aren't, but god does it suck looking at what the hell is happening and seeing fans being completely put off of the game because of the creator and their team of assholes. Not even mentioning the fact that it feels like some other shit could be brewing under the surface that could be spilling out thru all this other stuff. Idk tho.

I'm not saying everyone they surround themself with are dicks, but a good couple definitely spoils the bunch.

eh idk if you'll publish this but i wanted to rant about mcc and competitive gaming rly bad, sooo,,,, while i enjoyed event, i'm rather disappointed with aftermath of all of this, mainly: a) why are you trying to organise mcc underdogs in the first place? it feels like a cheap victory. like imagine you win - can you really brag about it? "yay guys i won an event without any s-tiers because... reasons." - is what it feels like to me. i watched red's pov and oh my god pearl did really good with everything: comms, mechanics, etc. and if she won, it would be bittersweet. something along the lines she is not good enough to win canon mcc, but good enough to win half-canon, while deminishing her value a) why organise an mcc underdogs event if 50% of participants are newcomers? call it mcc variety or something and make it non-canon for fun with special coin (even otv talked about it after their stream, they really enjoyed mcc and wanted to do an otv version of it). there's no one of regulars in finals, scott. b) okay, mcc underdogs with 50% of newcomers. why are you inviting really good minecraft event player - FBM - who specialises in mini-games? while he is not the best, he is on par with some s-tiers. strong player + newcomers = blood bath (and we are not even talking about blushi in team with him) c) why reddit is treating FBM like an s-tier after one half-canon event with 50% newcomers and underdogs? like what. it was not a perfomance of century. he did good among NEWCOMERS OH MY GOD. with my competitive side of knowledge (hello, i watched about 50 hours worth of minecraft events), he's not that good compared to many other testers. dorry. d) why people are being angry at FBM for 1st indiv and saying he shouldn't be allowed in mcc overall? his latest testing dates to 2 years ago, so it's not like he has strats or exploits or something like that. i can understand that he is a little bit of a sweaty player (20+ hours of mcci in week and god knows how many before that), but it's possible to balance. if blushi wasn't in this event - purple wouldn't have been in first overall. just give him sapnap treatment, scott.

e) and for the cherry on top: why on earth as of lately mcc can not decide whether they want to be competitive or for fun event? since addition of purpled/jojo/hannah it felt like everyone was getting better and better and more competitive and more competitive to the point where if you don't do vod review beforehand, you are gone.

it was so apparent when a lot of people got locked in sot today. there's A LOT to process if you are a newcomer, and if you don't - you perish. sure, there are a lot of vods and "how-to" videos, but learning strats doesn't prepare you for the real thing (ex: cyan in sot, abe in meltdown). and now they do canon (!!!) events that are mix of competitive and for fun. which is a choice for sure.

and while mccu didn't end up badly due to its nervewracking finale (boxbox vs. blushi finale), pretty close moments (pearl and cyan in meltdown, FBM clutching ar last second, hannah pkt, etc.) and a lot of respect and support for FBM from reddit - mixing fun and competitive today could cause BIG issues. remember mcc all-stars red and how everyone was like "ohhh who would've guessed /neg", even though event was purely for fun? yeah. but oh well, cyan did great comeback, so nobody is talking drama right now. fun fact: i have seen a comment that reads "this is what event could be like without dream" and boy. in how many words do you want me to explain you what is wrong. tl;dr; mcc underdogs was a bad idea. you are one the few blogs that post based takes on mcc, so i decided to join in :D reddit would execute me for this type of post aha

Hi! I love your posts and your gameplay so thought I’d ask you this and see if you have any advice :)

I’m doing a lil simple story with some gameplay aspects into it, and i’m wondering if you have any tips on how two potential love interests could meet, for the first time? Like occasions/places/situations? Story/pose wise (poses to use to make a specific situation or encounter) and also like gameplay wise (where they could meet in game through gameplay, like events, places or other stuff that happens when you play) hopefully that makes sense! Thanks a lot!!

Oh wow, it's actually kinda been a while since my sims have actually gone through anything like this, tbh, so idk if I'm really the person to ask, but...

Probably my most recent memory of any kind of meeting was between Zachary and Blake, and technically ( in my head ) they already knew one another in high school, but when I began playing them, I literally just threw a bunch of other sims with them into one big lot, and let the game decide whether they would "find each other in a room full of strangers" is one way to put it. They did, crazily enough, which is funny bc I was actually expecting one of them to go for Heather, but they went right to one another and began flirting almost immediately.

I'm kinda weird though, and I kinda like it when sims just interact organically, despite my headcanon, plans or expectations. The Sims 3 is incredibly chaotic compared to The Sims 4 when it comes to this, the sims in it are a bit more complex I guess... compared to TS4 sims imo, but the attraction system is kinda garbage, luckily their traits kinda do most the work when it comes to actual compatibility... like I wasn't really expecting Oba to find someone while at college, but he met Mika at a party, and they just really hit it off, so I kinda just jumped off of what happened in my game, bc TS3 is kinda about that anyway, it's a very... team effort kind of game, the player has control, but it can also pick up where the player leaves off if they want, and quite well if you manage to capture your sim/character well enough through traits.

Now, as for strictly posed, story focused, and planned meetings honestly it's really up to you. Find inspiration from some of your fav romantic media, whether it be books or TV, and don't let anyone tell you anything is too cliché, it's romance, it's supposed to be a little bit cliché, love is kinda corny sometimes and that's okay.

Outline an idea, gather the cc you need, there's sooo much cc out there for sims storytellers, it isn't even funny, and a lot of it you can easily find on cc finds blogs through their tags systems if they've got it, and for starters, why not hit up @ts4-poses? Then decide whether you wanna control the entire event yourself, or if you'd like the game to make a go at it. You can always exit without saving if things don't go as planned, no one will know ( how will they know, lol ), or hell, if it doesn't go as planned, and your sim flirts with Don Lothario at the romance festival instead ( like an old sim of mine did ), who's to say that isn't the start of a beautiful romance, or a doomed one... it's up to you!

really long and detailed dream but I did like 5 things before remembering I wanted to write it down, so it will now be like this

- first something about a game ? it seemed kind of splatoon like at least in the environment, a big open area with lots of like metal grates and the ocean was there & at night time peolle slept in cut off tube segmentsp but your character was trying to escape through the sewers. I was watching my friend stream it for a bit, I think it was like a roguelike where you unlocked more mechanics & biomes for the sewers, andit was also smth like you only have 1 health. there was a section where lava was rising and he fel in & died.

there were also item sets you could complrte by using a 3d printer to make letters or decorations for your sliced off room. anyway then during the day the boss (?) of the indergroind area, who called himself like chocotrain and looked like a flying rainbow patterned train with Googly eyes, showed up to holler at me. there was a scripted unwinnable fight where he catches you and shreds you into tiny pieces with a wood chipper, but your coworkers stop him from getting the very last piece of your foot, which then turned into a small brown mouse. your coworkers all watched this in horror- not everyone supported your escape plan bht nobody wanted you to get shredded to death in a wood chipper. your supervisor saw the mouse and threw a dried plum at you.

this was also one of yhose environments where the sentient machines were clearly in charge and there were human bosses that were mostly for show..the human boss here was an older chinese guy who really believed in wearing long flowing traditional clothing. he built a contraption with a pig head thst looked like a human and that was my house & he danced around with me.

- second, I think it was kinda like harry potter? idk we were in the big dining area & everyone there were in their little robes and that was about it. some transfer student girl was there & her powers were really strong? she could find things & have them sparkle in your mind. and she could open things by splitting them in half. I had an ooc moment & was like oh right main character needs to be friends with her so we can find the 700 keys suspended in the pipes beneath the ground. anyway girls family doubtednher and also sucked, so we went outside to this section where it was a bunch of bridges directly on top of a lake & they were like ok girl. count every grain of sand. and move them. and she was like well I don't want to do that. & after they were nasty for a little while longer she split the entirety of the lake in half so they were away from her and went storming kff into the castlr & accidentally started opening the divine seven fold door or something. idk it was like the first doors looked normal but they got smaller & more ornate as you went through the 4th one was made of bones & scaramouche genshin impact was there. i called out to him “ 散兵” & he heard me and made her turn back bc opening the 7th door would have the god they trapped come out or something. and then he was mean to her tol bc you know how he is.

- I had a dream here, let's call it dream 2.5 bc I can't remember shit about it

- third dream something like a grocery store. there was some kind of group rvent at the grocery store. idk what the rewards were. teams of 4. the cashier lady would try to give my team hints bc we sucked but we just kept failing every question. I only remember some snowboarding guy on my team, he was taller than me with really light blue eyes & kind of messy light brown hair & he was wearing like a whole snowsuit. I think he fit the description of himbo pretty well, & he was always excited & would like clap his hands on my shoulders and bend down to look me in the eye if I ever suggested anything, which was nice but also got kind of overwhelming bc his eye contact was sooo intense. this guy become important for the sevond hslf of the dream. a

anyway this guy also assumed the centers of the aisles had some kind of gravitational pull so he'd just throw stuff on the ground like it'll all work out! & it did not. I remember one of our last questions was like "grab a muffin off the shelf that weighs exactly 6g" & I got one that was 5.9 & he got one that was 7.4. after that I was like well we did our best! & left the grocery store.

I was in an area like my college campus x 100,000 cherry blossoms. everything was vaguely pink purple tinted. I found a nice spot to sit and have lunch next to the HAUNTED BUILDING FULL OF PURPLE DEMONS. I was chilling and enjoying the nice weather - warm but not too warm, & lots of floating petals and no pollen. anyway the ghosts and demons came out of the building and were causing problems. I kept eating my sandwich.

some stuff happened in this area & there was a flash back to like dream 2.5 which I remember Nothing Of, but it was then something like I worked in a team to ????? with. the snoeboarder guy, or to save him. I do not remember. anyway snap back to reality I'm lying on my back &.?6 old team approached me - this person named James I knew in highschool,.my roommate from when I went to Prague, this girl tiffany from studio that was nice to me but owes my friend like $2000. they were like you need to eat these fruits and held a bunch of purple shit in my face. one was a bell pepper. one was like had the texture of bread crust loaf.of bread. the 3rd one kight have been a lavender melon of genshin impact? very juicy.

anyway now i'm fighting the demons with my genshin impact hyperbloom team except Raiden got replaced with diona somehow so I had no energy recharge and no dps. and the snowboatder guy is there getting possessed - he's standing all hunched over and his eyes and mouth are gloeing white, etc etc.

we save him, somehow. he comes back to us & I can't say I'm not extra relieved bc he was nice to me. then there's like an ad break for an animated version of our show where the 4 of us have like magical girl transformations into cool goth girls wearing dark purple outfits & then the snowboarding guy has his own transform & looks like Elsa frozen instead lol

Same, I was a marching band kid. I literally never payed attention at a single football game in 4 years. Another good thing about watching rugby is that it helps you understand who's supposed to be doing what on the field -- what it should really look like and how it's discussed. Our coaches tell us to watch rugby when we can for that reason! It's especially helpful if you want to observe a specific position. Like if you want to be a fullback watch player 15, or if you want to be inside center watch player 12.

If it's not abundantly clear I am a backs player (specifically a wing, numbers 11 and 14) so I don't know as much about the forward/packie positions (players 1-8). I'm sure you'll learn whatever technical stuff you need from your team so I'll skip over all that.

But I just. I love rugby because it's a sport seriously anyone can play. One of the best rugby players I know personally is like 5 feet tall tops and rucks so well it's insane. Another person I know is like 5'2 and tackles the biggest mfers and brings them down. Professional players are generally pretty big/muscular but you can be thin as a stick and fast as fuck, you can dominate by outrunning everyone. There's a place for everyone. Which it's also worth mentioning that 95% of the rugby players I meet are not cishet (I play on a women's team but like... I can't imagine the men's league is super straight idk).

And the SONGS bro, the community. So funny. There might be small differences here and there but rugby songs are largely the same across teams, even across states. I've noticed bigger differences across countries but it's clearly the same song. I think they're derived from pub/drinking songs which makes sense because they're best performed not sober. My favorite one is If I Were the Marrying Kind bc its sooo fucking FUNNYYYYY here's the wing verse

All: If i was the marrying kind, which thank the lord I'm not sir, the kind of rugger I would be would be a rugby whats-er 1: A wing, sir! All: A wing, sir, why's that, sir? 1: Because I get no action... All: And you get no action, we all get no action together! It'll be all right, in the middle of the night, getting no action together!

And there's so many verses (THE RULEBOOK SIR, WHY'S THAT SIR? BECAUSE I GET VIOLATED...) it just doesn't stop.

Anyway. Rugby. Cool sport. Wish the US was more invested in it because it's literally so much more interesting than american football and just wait until you get a sick bruise and everyone's like omg!! what happened!! and you get to be like yeah I fucking tackled somebody. With my whole body. No padding no nothing just mouthguard and gall. And your first try... no other feeling like it. My first try was in 7s against a team we all hated and it felt so damn good. Did we lose, yeah, but I scored against them. And one day! You can too!

Season 3 Episode 6 Thoughts

WOW this episode was as Ricky put it “heart wrenching”

Like I know he’s been feeling it all season but I’ve been so well fed with the content. This episode I genuinely felt what Ricky felt. That was hard

But before we get too into rina I’ll make some other notes first

Ashlyn feeling the fireworks and pw not??? Oh sorry pw you’re bones but that was so sweet for Ashlyn

I have really enjoyed watching her discover herself and her sexuality this season. I remember season one thinking she was not super straight and so it’s cool really seeing her find her full identity this season (something she stated she had a hard time with). Which is an interesting insight to who she is at EH because she always has loads of clubs she’s in and stuff right? It’s like she could never settle on being one thing because maybe she actually didn’t totally know herself but now she does.

I also appreciate the Maddox and Jet storyline. I was team blue but very happy yellow won. It seemed like a really sweet victory for them and it was nice watching Jet try to restore that relationship

I kind of expected that storyline to resolve this episode so it was interesting seeing that Maddox still doesn’t feel totally resolved. I wonder what else will happen

I’m SO excited for Sebby to come back for prom 🥹 I miss him so much and I’m sure Carlos does too ❤️

The scene of Miss Jenn teaching EJ her directing tips 😭😭 pls it was so funny. When she talked about angrily shoving the papers in the binder. I NEED someone to gif Ej doing that so I can use it as a reaction meme lmao

I also LOVED her referring to herself as mommy or that they were her children, her son, etc. anyone else it is kinda weird but idk it works for her?

Although it didn’t work for Miss Jenn last season when Ricky got mad at her 😶 but I didn’t say that

I also wonder what the Miss Jenn and Mike agenda is? This cruise feels kind of out of left field for their relationship? It doesn’t seem like they were together that long for her to just hop on a boat with someone? But also what happened to Mozzarella Stick? Tbh I’m indifferent as of right now to both couples. I would be happy with her with either guy… I’m just confused because S2 left her relationships sooo up in the air so I’m curious to see if that gets more resolved S4

It was SO healing for my childhood to see Corbin perform again. I am actually sad he didn’t do the wildcats cheer too. It was a nice rina moment that came from it but I’m like 🥺

I also appreciate the implications of Corbin reliving his Disney games days. And then mixing dancing and basketball together after Chad made such a big deal about dance and baseball/basketball not mixing. Just loads of nostalgia 🥲

Carlos kept mentioning something about wanting a dressing room?? And they showed miss Jenn giving a little face that seemed like she was up to something with that? I wonder what that was about? What if she made him his own little dressing room before the rehearsal? 😭 she showed ashlyn how important her part is and she might do the same for Carlos 😭😭 oh that’s cute

Also miss Jenn finding the licorice at some random store was a shout out to the “big summer blowout” in frozen. I love 🥰

I made a separate post about this on my page but I think the pw canoe scene was very on the nose to The Little Mermaid? I kind of think it might be a hint at next seasons musical

I’ve been so-so about the jetney agenda but watching him cheer her on and the parallels of them having stuffed animals + some of the looks have been cute I’m ngl

I kinda got annoyed at Val this episode. She was very… pushy? Like pushy with Kourt, pushy with Ashlyn understanding “who she is”… idk something about this episode rubbed me the wrong way with her

Isn’t it interesting that EJ ONCE AGAIN points out to Ricky something he can’t figure out as ginas boyfriend? (Why she hasn’t laughed at his jokes but is laughing at Ricky’s) oof the jealousy is strong in this one

Also watching Ricky’s crying was HARD. He hasn’t cried that hard for anything else, including his break up with Nini. (I pointed this out in another post). Like this REALLY affected him

AND THEY DID THE RINA CUE WHILE HE CRIED BECAUSE TIM IS EVIL AND LIKES TO WATCH RINAS SUFFER

Ngl I was a teeny bit disappointed with that scene in the cabin. I thought that we would get the flashback or even a little more around why Ricky was so upset but jet made things about him then Ricky had an idea and the scene was over. I just feel like the dialogue got cut really short and there could have been even a couple more sentences to make the scene feel a little more whole. I would have LOVED the flashback here too but we can’t always win

I will say though, I’ve had this theory that the characters that the kids are playing not on stage is Ricky being Kristoff and jet being Sven and this scene amplified that. Remember how annoyed in frozen Kristoff got at Sven when he tried to make Kristoff go back to Anna or keep going through the woods with her? Kristoff got snappy. Me thinks Mr Bowen is portraying that same quality

I loved watching Ricky cheer Gina on in all the events 🥹 you can even hear him in the scene where she is rock climbing. It’s just such supportive boyfriend material unlike SOMEONE 🫥👀

Also did you notice when Ej was telling gina all the reasons he needed the show to go perfect she was the LAST reason? It was like he was explaining all of his anxieties and stress and then it was like “oh yeah and you too so I don’t have to stress over that either”. It was just.. yikes

(I still really would love a Kourtney and Ej scene where they talk to each other about the anxieties they’ve been facing)

I would love to see some sort of parallel where Gina feels or hears the words or something about the fireworks when she’s with Ricky. It’s interesting how miss Jenn pointed that out and we clearly saw them with Ashlyn and we also clearly saw how pw waited and waited for them to show. It was very in your face that they wanted these fireworks to happen so badly and they were never going to come. Instead of showing pw watching the fireworks to show they came we just got Ricky crying to the rina cue. I think having some sort of parallel to the fireworks with rina is going to be our way of knowing rina are finally on the same page. Ricky knows his feelings and whatever feelings gina has swallowed or push to the side have resurfaced and she acknowledges them too. Their love will feel like fireworks 🎆

ALSO (someone on Twitter pointed this out can’t remember who so if you know pls comment so they get credit) the scene where ricky takes Ej to gina parallels the scene heavily where Kristoff takes gina to hans. It’s not what he wants but it’s putting the other person first which shows you love someone. (Which I pointed out was a direct quote from frozen)

And sorry not sorry I’m gonna say it: I don’t think Ricky is just crushing on Gina or just likes her. He even made this a point “on accident” last episode. Ricky is IN LOVE with Gina. His feelings are so much deeper than he or others may be willing to admit

hoffman and amanda's relationship is...complicated. i often wonder what it could have been like in canon if john hadn't fostered such a toxic environment and pitted them against each other. they do have things in common and i think they also had a capacity to work well together - bathroom trap, nerve gas house, and the night of lynn/jeff/eric/rigg's tests all happened AFTER john took them both under his wing. ik hoffman sets amanda up to die the night of the latter but the fact remains they had MULTIPLE games set up in the same building and i doubt john would have been able to do much. hell, even when they're fighting while fixing up the rack, there's still like...a weird sense of them being in sync. amanda's brains and hoffman's brawn and when they're not at each other's throats they make a hell of a team.

so. taking that into consideration and placing them in the jigsquad verse, where they are able to form a relationship despite john's interference...they're very much like a brother and sister. they're always about 0.5 seconds away from killing each other and they'd both rather die than admit than they care for one another, but they do. jigsquad mark is able to retain his humanity and because of this, he sort of grows to see amanda as...a surrogate little sister to make up for the sister he lost. and amanda will never be angelina, both as a person and as a piece of mark's life, but it's something. and for amanda...i think generally speaking she distrusts men due to past experiences and it takes her the longest to warm up to mark because a) he is an asshole to her b) he was her ~rival~ for john's attention c) he's a cop. BUT. once they've gotten to a point where she realises he cares about her and won't actually hurt her...it's nice to have that weird big brother presence in her life.

john's death plays out very differently in jigsquad and since mandy lives through that night and he doesn't, the ramifications are also very different. the games continue in part because john implies that if the apprentices don't carry on his ~legacy~ then there's contingency plans in place for them, but also because amanda sort of. needs to process her shit with john and what he did to her in her own way, and that does mean continuing his work. which. isn't the healthiest coping mechanism but the guys realise she's going to do it with or without them and at least if they're with her, she'll be safer. and mark is a lot more willing to let her take control of everything and has no desire to kill her for power or whatever.

but yeah. they still fight all the goddamn time but they're not trying to like, Actually Hurt each other and aren't praying for one another's downfall. they're just. an older brother and a younger sister who aren't related and also know each other because they murder together.

here are some headcanons i have:

as the two resident former addicts of the group they keep an eye on each other because they know the signs (even if they do claim it's because they can't have the other relapsing and fucking up their whole operation)

amanda is a vegetarian and hoffman, the designated chef of the group, cooks vegetarian meals for her. sometimes he'll make a whole separate dish just so that she has something to eat.

she steals something for him (idk what hoffman would like for gifts. knives? keychains? pasta?) on the anniversary of his sister's death because she knows how sad he gets about it but also doesn't know how to deal with it. and she's like. ugh. here. *shoves it in his hands and then watches movies with him all day while neither of them acknowledge why she did it*

unsurprisingly a lot of people at the station don't really get hoffman's choice in friends and are kind of assholes about it. once a narcotics detective once referred to amanda as "a drugged up psycho" to hoffman's face and he punched the cop in the nose for it. this was separate to the punching strahm incident and was outside of work so nobody knew about it. which like....anonymous brutality is sort of the way mark cares.

sometimes he carries her (and adam) around on his broad ass shoulders. sometimes she sits on his back while he does push ups.

he steals her cigarettes and she'd get mad about it but she keeps stealing his zippo lighters. so they're even.

this will probably make more sense when i finish (and for that matter, start) my The Night of III/IV According to Jigsquad Verse fic in five million years but. in the aftermath when john is dead and they're all reeling from that and amanda is recovering from being shot in the neck and hoffman can't really check in on them because that'll be suspicious...he does what he can by telling strahm (and perez) to back the fuck off and leave amanda alone. she's nothing more than a person of interest and they have no proof she worked for john but hoffman knows they suspect her. and he also knows the last thing amanda needs right now while she's badly injured and processing john's death is to be harassed by the fbi. so. yeah. he makes sure to keep them away for her for as long as she possibly can.

similarly. hoffman asking john why amanda has to be in the nerve gas house has less to do with him not understanding the rules or whatever. and more to do with him wondering why the fuck john is okay with putting amanda in a dangerous situation, even if she's ~fine~ with it. he's very out of touch with his feelings and doesn't even realise he's doing it out of concern but. he is!

this one also features adam but on nights when there's no trap business to attend to and lawrence is working his real person job and the three of them are "banned" from "testing traps in the living room" and "treating them like toys" because they "keep getting blood on the carpet" they all just sort of. bake edibles together and paint each other's nails (hoffman always says that if he's being forced to do this then he wants black manly nails but amanda always ignores this and paints them something sparkly that diana left behind the last time lawrence had a custody weekend) and revel in each other's weirdness and smoke cigarettes. they play mario games together (hoffman always goes donkey kong, amanda bowser or dry bones, adam princess peach) and amanda and hoffman WILL climb all over each other and accuse one another of cheating and it will get borderline violent but it's fine. they love each other. they're having fun.

mainly stays with nagi, chigiri, kunigami, and bachira and they just talk throughout the night

(bachira only sits down and talks after his energy dies down. i'll elaborate on this below the cut).

keeps asking nagi “what song is this?” throughout the night LOL. makes a mental note of what songs to add to his playlists.

slightly nods his head to the music, aw cute. goes a little harder and lip syncs/raps along when he really likes the song, though (i stand by my word when i said he loves “neon guts”)

Honestly XY Megas is one of the all time Pokémon mechanics ever.I loved the fact megas was built of trust and love between the trainer and Pokémon.

I know a lot of people want them back(including me) but I don’t think they ever will unless we get a x and y remake which I would love.

I get you with the open world thing cuz I don’t people many if any open world game so sometimes my unfocused brain gets bored if I don’t have direct orders on what to do.

I don’t know if u played arcues but for me Im struggling to complete it idk why but I cuz cant lol so I hope I don’t for this game.

And yes the teams team skull and big bad guzma will all ways be favs becausw of the goofiness.HOWEVER how this was balanced out was with the Aeather paradise plot making it serious when need be and to show a more looming threats hiding underneath.

Team yell was so lazy I don’t even think they gave it more than a minutes thought.To me it was also like they wanted to replicate the vibe of team skull but failed miserably.So I hope they bring it back with this regional evil team and make them super evil again.

And with the badges thing I’m split to be honest. I get what you're saying about the gyms too! the final gym leaders always feel like strong obstacles bc you've already come so far, they're the last thing standing in your way,, I've felt that same way about the E4, since they've started letting us challenge them in any order? facing Lucian in Diamond definitely felt a lot more intense bc I HAD to fight my way through others to get to him, and I don't mind it in Unova bc it was the first time we could choose the order, but since then it's just been a lil bland imo. But maybe that's also just bc it's been constant too? I wouldn't mind alternating leagues, or being able to challenge them in any order on rematches.

speaking of evil teams and all that. I know very little will ever hit the personal level of "holy SHIT team rocket's boss is the LAST GYM LEADER," and "MY RIVAL IS THE SON OF TEAM ROCKET'S BOSS????" but. I'd love to have more of a personal relationship with the evil team? maybe a rival who gets sick of losing to you, so they join the villains? or a character like Colress, who's only with them for his own reasons and is still clearly interested in you too. again, I do adore N Harmonia, so I'm partial to his role in everything too lmao. a part of me is hoping that the professors end up involved, bc I think it would be super cool.

I do think SWSH had a lot of potential; Rose did have a point, but the story pacing was a total mess. like,, Galar's air is apparently so toxic that the poison-type Weezing gained a regional form to PURIFY the air, they could've done sooo much with the base ideas they have there.

huening and ellie were once again playing on the nintendo, waiting on the others to finish getting ready for the next shoot.

“ellie please. please let me win. just this once...for my dignity.”

the boy gets on the floor and starts bowing.

ellie starts freaking out, obvi.

“NO PLEASE DON’T BOW!”

she’s in a very frantic state at this very moment, no clue why...but, i mean it’s ellie...right?

“what’re you guys playing?”, “oh- um- mario k-”

ellie looks up from her position, DUN DUN DUN.

that was like...really cringe, i’m so sorry.

it was none other than the choi beomgyu. standing. right. in. front. of. her.

“oh- oh my god- uh- h- he- hello!” she musters up a greeting and quickly bows.

“you don’t need to bow ellie! we’re friends!”

oh no, this poor girl’s heart.

if she dies from an early heart attack, it was bcs of choi beomgyu, just giving everyone a heads up! /j

anyways, her face was like BEET red.

from across the room, her members were watching her every move.

sunoo was laughing at how serious the rest of them were.

“can you guys like...idk...calm down? she’s literally fine.”

“i know, but...” (jake)

“but what?” (sunoo)

“oh you know...” (jungwon)

“can ya’ll finish the damn sentence?” (sunoo and jay)

ellie’s head shoots up.

“darn it, i almost beat you.”

her cheeks, once again, burn up.

before she could thank beomgyu, ellie is pulled away by jungwon.

“what the heck wonie?”

“it’s time to go.”

she’s obviously very confused? what was getting into him?

choosing to ignore his attitude, ellie obliges and lets the boy drag her into the studio.

he spoke no words...very odd.

ellie started overthinking...did she do something subconsciously???

“places please!” she massages her temples and goes backstage to wait for her group’s cue.

the episode started with each group dancing on stage.

their instructions were to “have fun!”

she gave it her ALL, messing around...and even getting into a dance battle with riki.

she found it absolutely hilarious, but unfortunately, her face dropped at the sight of jungwon.

obviously, something was bothering him, but she didn’t have the courage to ask...at least not now when everyone seemed to be having fun.

jungwon was not one to show his emotions outwardly, so to a normal person, he seemed like his usual self.

but, ellie knows better, she can read jungwon like the back of her hand...something was up.

she made a mental note to herself to ask him if he was ok after the shoot.

the first game was an absolute BLAST.

they were competing to see which team they would have to play on.

since there was an odd number of people, ellie didn’t have to compete against anyone. instead, she got to choose which team she wanted to be on.

(she secretly enjoyed it)

she looked at the two teams in front of her.

her original plan was to go into the yellow team so both teams would have an equal amount of enhypen members, but she felt iffy about doing so because of jungwon...

she could possibly be overthinking things, but she didn’t want to take any risks.

making eye contact with him one last time, she looks over at the red team and points finger guns at them.

“yay ellie!” beomgyu seemed way more enthusiastic than everyone else.

of course, ellie’s heart rate quickens at the weird observation.

the team name choosing was absolutely wonderful.

beomgyu came up with ‘brave dummies’ and for some reason everyone went with it, not that ellie was complaining because it was REALLY funny.

this episode required a lot more physical activity than the last one, which she had no problem with.

she led her team to victory during the first game with the tubes and ping pong ball.

got picked up by beomgyu hai!

wait wait wait...let me set the scene for you guys because...it was something else.

after winning the race, the 7 teammates all did a group hug, ellie being shoved into the middle while the rest ferociously chanted “ellie! ellie! ellie!”

kinda scary...looked like a cult from the outside lol.

she was so confused.

all of a sudden, a figure picks her up from behind and starts cheering very loudly.

she looked absolutely terrified because she had no. clue. what. was. going. on.

and when this poor girl turns her head back to look at the person carrying her, all bodily organs in her shut down.

her eyes went blurry and suddenly she couldn’t see, her kidneys failed, her limbs detached from her body...it was insane.

jay and sunoo, being the teasers they were, laughed at the look of the flustered girl.

it was...so much.

when beomgyu put her down, she felt her life flash before her eyes.

she still couldn’t believe what just happened, placing a hand on her forehead to see if she was sick??? for some reason.

she literally could NOT think straight after that.

the rest of the episode felt like a blur.

during the flag game, she failed oh so miserably...

“you ok?” jay teasingly asks her.

“leave me alone.” *cue her side eye*

“hehe.” (jay)

she felt so bad for doing so badly during the game, she kept apologizing :’).

“ellie! its ok! none of us did good :)” thank god for yeonjun.

she had to lay her head down onto ni-ki’s shoulders because she felt so defeated.

ni-ki responded by hugging her by the waist.

“don’t worry, i did horrible too.”

she hummed and pouted.

the screaming from the others made her feel a lot better.

“there’s that smile!” sunoo squeezes her cheeks.

the other team won, obviously.

she examined jungwon, he seemed like he was doing a lot better, seeing him enjoy himself was all the reassurance ellie needed.

oh good god...the next game...hahahaha.

it was...hai!

they had a piece of paper in which they had to fit all their teammates on, it was...intense.

she tried standing in the middle of jake and ni-ki, but was pulled by kim sunoo to stand in between him and beomgyu.

she froze up, god...can’t you just act normally ellie? (this was to herself btw ;) )

she tried not to think about the close proximity between her and beomgyu, instead giving her all into the game.

“ellie, it’s alright, step on my foot.” yeonjun tells her.

“are you sure?”

“yes of course.”

she cautiously steps on his foot, making sure not to put too much weight into it.

they got past a good amount of rounds, the last one is where they REALLY struggled.

“i have an idea!”

ellie announces while clapping her hands.

“i think if we put our feet in this pattern...”

she shows what she means by using her own feet as an example.

“it would save space...we can hold onto each other for balance like all the other rounds and our other foot can come up. the foot on the ground will serve as a stabilizer.”

“that’s SUCH a smart idea!” yeonjun smiles at her.

“thanks!”

jake couldn’t resist it...it came as an automatic reflex. he moves his hand around to squeeze her cheeks.

“miss smarty pants saves us yet again!” (jake)

she glares at him and hits his arm.

(there was a slight smile on her face though)

with ellie’s strategy, their team wins yet again!!!

they huddled into a group hug while the other team groaned in defeat.

“ellie should’ve joined our team!” soobin yells.

she giggles.

the final game was a big round of yut nori, which ellie still had NO CLUE how to play.

“do you know how to play?” beomgyu asks her.

“not really?”

“no worries, leave it to us!”

ellie blushes...yk...the usual.

ellie didn’t do much through out the game, following whatever the others told her to do.

by the end of it, you’d think she’d know how to play, right? wrong!

she still, to this day, doesn’t know how to play yut nori :))).

she was sad as the shooting ended, knowing that they probably won’t be able to shoot together with txt for a LONG while.

it was so very fun getting to hang out with her seniors, though beomgyu was a bit too much.

after they said their goodbyes on camera, it was time to say goodbye off camera.

soobin suggested that they make a gc together, to which everyone happily agreed to!

beomgyu asked ellie for her number, which she shouldn’t have though much about considering he was the one making the groupchat for them, but a girl can dream right?

after hugging everyone goodbye, her group moved back into their dressing room.

“i’m exhausted.” sunghoon mentions.

ellie’s eyes did feel heavy.

the 8 of them have been shooting all day and they could all probably agree that what they needed now was a nice long nap.

she moved over to where sunghoon was laying down and tapped the boy to ask him to scoot over so she could lay down as well.

the girl cuddled into sunghoons warmth.

“sooo, you and beomgyu, huh.”

“why? are you jealous?”

“maybe...but you know who is Very jealous right now? and who you should probably talk to bcs he’s definitely upset?”

her eyes widen, finally realizing.

“oh my god, i gotta go.”

she climbs out of sunghoon’s embrace.

“i was comfortable ellie!”

“yeah yeah!”

she runs out the dressing room, frantically searching for jungwon.

she accidentally bumps into beomgyu.

“woah there, where are you going???”

“i’m so sorry! uh- i have to go talk to jungwon about something, i can’t really stay for long...”

beomgyu nods his head and motions for her to go.

she finally finds jungwon at a vending machine, grabbing two drinks.

“yang!”

she finally reaches him and drops her body down to catch her breath.

“i’m so sorry.”

“about what?”

“sunghoon said you were upset with me about something...and i wan- (deep breath) i wanted you to know that no one will ever replace you or any (deep breath) any of the other members (deep breath).”

jungwon stays silent for a bit before chuckling at the sight of the girl’s state.

“oh ellie...” he gently makes her look up by her chin, “don’t worry about it, i knew you would never do that...i just got jealous seeing you blush at beomgyu so much...”

the last part was barely audible, but ellie understood.

she giggles, “i didn’t know mr. yang was the jealous type!”

he glares at her, “whatever.”

she smiles and hugs him by the neck.

“let’s go back, we’re heading home soon.”

ellie pulls jungwon by the hands.

“wait,” he fishes for the two drinks still left in the vending machine, “this is for you.”

it was strawberry milk, her favorite.

“thank you, kind sir.”

the two walked back hand in hand.

“is wonie feeling better~” heeseung teased.

jungwon mocks his face.

“time to head back!” their manager calls out.

“god i cannot wait to sleep.” ellie groans.

“ellie~ can i sleep next to you tonight?” ni-ki pleads with his eyes.

“why not sunoo?”

“he wanted to switch it up today, apparently.” sunoo clings his arms with ellie’s.

“i mean of course you can riki, just promise me you’ll actually sleep and not watch videos all night.” ellie stares at him.

she smiles and hooks her free arm around his.

little menace kisaki girl my beloved <3 torturing kisaki like he deserves. we would sooo team up against him.

not me thinking about me being away on some work trip and that coinciding with daughter’s first period happening so now kisaki is having to deal with it… and sends the haitani’s and sanzu to go pick up some cramp medication, pads and comfort food XD the most embarrassing mission the three hardened criminals and daughter is equally entertained because she just loves torturing the haitanis but also a bit flustered because sanzu is sanzu and sanzu is just… so tired. kisaki getting a daughter choosing him of all people to be her childhood obsession was the worst thing that has ever happened in his life. fuck mikey for agreeing to any of this.

but kisaki would be the most overprotective dad when it comes to people wanting to date his daughter. men, women, doesn’t matter they all have to face down the wrath that is tetta kisaki thinking no one will ever be enough for his daughter. i would probably have to whack him over the head with a folded newspaper so he will finally call off the hitman he sent on the head of his daughter’s dad.

also definitely insists on silly family shirts when going on. “the boss” “the real boss” “boss in training” for a disney land trip. big on family albums and other memory tokens because he never got any of his childhood, not that stuff like that happened. and even when daughter is an annoying teen, this is still one of the things she recognises- these things are important to her father and therefore she will participate in them and enjoy them, because she is loyal to those she loves, like her dad.

side note; two of my roommates have covid, the third one isn’t here right now. i wanted to get a covid test done today and the dude who did it fucking- flirted with me. really don’t think it was badly intentioned but dude did not pick up on me not reciprocating at all. and worst of all- test ended up being invalid bc fucker did not do his job correctly. idk if it was intentional to get me there again or nah but god i wanted to snap that man’s throat. don’t flirt with me during situations like that jesus fuck dude don’t flirt with anyone during situations like that.

SENDING THE BROTHERS AND SANZU TO GO GET PERIOD SUPPLIES BC KISAKI IS COMFORTING HIS SOBBING HULK RAGING HORMONAL DAUGHTER PLS I'M- Ran and Rindou deserve to go pick up menstrual products. They really fucking do. Ran screams "I'm not checking out with these" and Rindou takes them from his brother, looks the checker right in the eyes and straight face says some bullshit like "Heavy flow this month what can I say." fucking rindou

But the Sanzu thing- Oh my god let us take a moment to unpack that. Kisaki in the throws of comforting his daughter (while your not answering your phone bc busy sexy milf work hours) and he tries to comfort her saying he sent Ran, Rindou and Sanzu to go get more appropriate sized starter items for a young woman. And she just- She sees red. Blood curdling screaming at her father about how could he. How could he betray her like this. How could he do this and ruin her life. Kisaki just "????" until finally the raging kiddo sobs into her pillow that Sanzu will never want her now and think she's gross. Kisaki 404s about not knowing this god awful idea that his now pubescent daughter's had to marry his crazy drug addled coworker like she's still five 😂 Kisaki had no idea. Sanzu had no idea. No one had any idea but your daughter his this plan in her head about how she was gonna marry the pretty pink prince she played games with and now Kisaki is in the dog house and stuck with a first time period haver 😂

Kisaki's daughter accusing her father of being homophobic. Kisaki dead serious that boy, girl, neither, something in between or none of the above, over his dead body is anyone gonna date his little princess. At least now your daughter knows her father isn't homophobic but she's pleading with you to keep her father out of her dating life every time she has a crush 😂 Also big scary boss man Kisaki getting hit over the head with an empty paper towel roll on a Tuesday bc he saw his kid laugh a little too hard at a friends joke has his finger hovering over the speed dial for Sanzu's number.

Not being close to Kisaki's parents in the slightest. Frankly they might not have any idea they have a granddaughter or a daughter in law with how little interest they have in Kisaki. Yeah they tell people they have a successful son but aside from that they take "hands off" parenting to a whole new level. Seriously attributing to Kisaki's tendency to be a helicopter parent in good and bad ways. The wedge it might create with his early teens/late teens daughter until he has a heart to heart with her about the grandparents she never sees. Knows she has grandparents on dad's side. But never gets anything but presents like once every three years from them. And they don't spell her name right and never know her age so she's fifteen getting baby dolls. So it's a little vulnerable when Kisaki apologizes for being over zealous about somethings in regards to the family or his kid. But explains the situation of parents he had growing up and how he could have died and they probably wouldn't have noticed (eh see what I did there) It's hard to say it out loud but when he does he gets the biggest hug from his kid. And it's not like he needs to hear it. But hearing her tell him he's the best dad anyone could have really makes him want to cry.

I did this Tier Ranking the other day of Zelda’s with the most to least amount of agency in their games, and I’m going to be honest... I’m still thinking about it. I was getting so annoyed when I played SS the other day because of something that happens that made me mad. So now, I’m going to rant about every single Zelda because she deserves better. 

This is my short essay on which Zelda’s have agency in their games and why. Omg if only I could have done that topic in grad school. 

So this was my list. 

Before you keep going, this is just spoiler central. So, if you haven’t played, say SS yet, heads up.

I’m going to start by saying I’ve never played the Four Swords games nor watched a playthrough. IDK why there are 4 of her, but maybe it’s just ironic to have 4 of them? But that’s my ‘don’t know’ pile. Maybe she’s epic, but I remember her being captured by Vaati in an intro to the GBA game, so I doubt it.

Most Agency: Wind Waker Tetra, Sheik, and Spirit Tracks Zelda

I almost feel like this part of the list goes without saying. Tetra (WW) is a queen. She’s a captain, has a crew, goes where she wants, helps Link, hurts Link, literally, queen. 

Sheik should also go without saying. We don’t see a lot of Sheik actually doing things, but we know she’s doing them. She’s been all over Hyrule for 7 years training, and keeping the world spinning. During the game alone, we know she’s out there rescuing Ruto, trying to fight the spirits in the well, etc. So we don’t see it, but we know it. 

And Spirit Tracks Zelda! SHE’S YOUR LITERAL COMPANION!!! SHE’S WITH YOU THE WHOLE GAME, FINDS A WAY TO FIGHT, HELPS, IS FUNNY, IS ACTIVE IN THE KINGDOM, AND IS AN ALL AROUND UNDERATED ZELDA. She lost a little agency because she has no body, but she didn’t let it stop her.

Good Agency: OOT Zelda, BOTW Zelda, TP Zelda

This is the “I’m in danger of being smited for including these three here” pile. OOT Zelda isn’t in it for long as adult Zelda, and she does get trapped in a crystal almost immediately, but you know she was training for years and managed to stay out of sight of Ganon. And at the end, she holds up an entire castle for you to escape. I want her on my team, but I’d prefer Sheik. Plus, this Zelda is one in SSB sooo does that count? I don’t think so but whatever. I wanted to put her lower, but I was thinking of her off screen and she managed to make it up into the ‘good’ agency pile. 

BOTW Zelda. She’s got a lot more agency in AOC than BOTW because she just runs around and basically commands the whole kingdom's army after a while, but in BOTW, she’s held back by everyone! She had the potential! She wasn’t a damsel, she was a smart cookie, she had character, but everyone was like nah girl. Go wander Hyrule doing stuff. And she did! Not because she had agency, but because everyone told her to. She wanted to work with the tech! Let her work with the tech!

And TP Zelda, my girl, I love the thought of this Zelda SO MUCH!! SHE HAS A SWORD!! SHE COULD HAVE USED IT IN THE GAME!! THE CUTSCENE WAS RIGHT THERE!!!!! But you know she defended Hyrule off screen anyway, literally fought with her soldiers to protect her people. Gave her literal life of her own accord, took full blame for things, like, no one told this girl no. She was full blown agency... except that she was locked in a tower for the whole game, then went poof, then got turned into a puppet, then only managed to show off her battle badassery in ONE SCENE aka one of the best multi-stage final boss battles. Just could have pushed her further.

Okay Agency: Child OOT Zelda, SS Zelda, ALBW Zelda

Child Zelda. She’s a child. She gave Link an instrument and was forcibly (but thankfully) spirited away on horseback. She doesn’t really DO much at this point. But she WILL! So she’s cool, but she’s just a wee sprout still! 

SS Zelda: Don’t hit me! I love her, her general plot, and her relationship with Link. But she isn’t even allowed to hug him. She is dragged everywhere, captured MULTIPLE times, stuck in a big old amber crystal thing FOR I DON’T REMEMBER HOW LONG, nearly sacrificed, and is bombarded with memories of a life that wasn’t technically hers and she has to sort through being Hylia and not just Zelda. Poor bean. She’s not at the bottom because you can tell that before the game, she was top tier agency queen.  

ALBW Zelda is just... meh. She’s not as bad as ALTTP Zelda, but she doesn’t really do much and then gets stuck in a painting for most of the game. Points if we’re counting Smash Bros again though!

NO AGENCY: ALTTP Zelda, Oracle Zelda, OG Zelda, Minish Cap Zelda, WW Zelda, PH Tetra, Zelda II Zelda. 

ALTTP Zelda is just a sad, sad tale of ‘can you be more damsel in distress if you tried’? She: starts the game in a cell, hides in a sanctuary, is kidnapped again, is sacrificed, is stuck in a crystal, and finally, is chilling in the end credits. Girl. I’m so sorry for you. 

Oracle Zelda is apparently the same Zelda as ALTTP and it shows. She hangs out in a house and tells you the weather and then (you guessed it) is kidnapped and nearly sacrificed. This poor bean has gone through too much. 

OG Zelda literally pops up at the end of the game and is like HEY you’ve been trying to save me this whole time, in case you didn’t know. And Link’s like omg I have?? Because I don’t even remember her being mentioned outside the info pamphlet and the ending. 

Out of order, but Zelda II, she’s the most relatable, because she sleeps the whole game. She’s under a curse, wakes up, sees Link and is like damn you’re cute, and kisses him. If we use the info booklet, it gets worse and her brother used a spell to blah blah. She sleeps. That’s all she does. 

Minish Cap Zelda is so precious at the beginning of the game and you can tell her and Link are besties and I wanted more of that! AND THEN SHE’S TURNED TO STONE THE WHOLE GAME. But no, wait, she’s...... almost sacrificed in the process. Deja vu. 

Wind Waker Zelda was cool in the final scene, but she spent her entire portion of the game trapped in a basement against her will for her protection. No agency. That’s really all the poor thing gets to do as Zelda. 

THEN THE DIRTIEST OF ALL DONE DIRTY CHARACTER MOVES IS PHANTOM HOURGLASS TETRA! ONE OF THE BEST ZELDA’S REDUCED TO NOTHING! SHE IS CAPTURED IMMEDIATELY AND SPENDS THE ENTIRE GAME AS A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS WHO HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED AND TURNED TO STONE. I’m still salty and will hate Phantom Hourglass forever for many reasons, and Tetra being done dirty is one of them. 

I feel better now. If anyone actually read all this and has other thoughts on this, I’m fired up and ready to talk because who needs to sleep at 1:30am? Not me!!
