I've been obsessed with the idea of this show since I watched the freaking mock trailer like sooo long years ago (late 2021? early 2022? like 2 years ago bruh) and was so glad that people seemed to really like the actual show when it released, can't believe I'm finally watching it. I attempted to watch this once before but it was while I was taking a break at university and uh this is not a show I can watch in public, so I had to stop just a few minutes in and now I'm back like a year later.

Anyway, I better love it. I'm gonna lose my shit if it turns out like Be My Favourite for me (I love the mock trailer -> people love the show -> I finally watch the show and find it... fine).

Ep 1 (Apr 20)

Why am I so nervous, I almost don't wanna start it. see this is why I have so many highly praised show or shows I'm hoping to love like ITSAY and 3WBF still on my To Watch list

The Alex & Jean is honestly A Lot for me and idk if they can handle it well and I'm not looking forward to Joe-Army and Mollie-Nim's conflicts either. I kinda wanna just knock out the last 2 episodes by tonight though because I just wanna be doneee

It'll be 1.25x speed for the rest of the show I think. I managed to watch the first 9 episodes at regular speed though

Also interesting parallel with Alex's father who Alex is now refusing to give a second chance, to come into his life, because he fucked up big time as well and there's just no coming back from that to suddenly be a good dad or being involved with Alex's life.

Also, people in the YT comments or on reddit who are acting like "ohhh Alex didn't know, he can't be held accountable for that night/for not knowing about the pregnancy, Jean should've told him yada yada", fuck you like actually. She was a young woman who was raped by somebody she deeply trusted (idc that he was young and drunk and it was "unintentional" - doesn't undo what he did), then ostracized by the school while he was put on a padastal (and left his other friends to follow his popularity), then suspended, then found out she was pregnant at a time when abortion was illegal. It makes plenty of fucking sense to me that she didn't go and tell Alex what happened. It's not even like she was doing anything to Alex in the current timeline, he's the one who keeps inserting himself into her life and pursing her romantically despite her saying no multiple times (parallels?).

Honestly, a pretty fun end and kind of makes me less upset at the other stuff. Like I'm still intellectually upset at it when I think about it, but I'm on a high from the fun stuff, so it doesn't feel as terrible as when I finished ep 11.

Overall:

A unique and enjoyable show, it was so fun to see all these characters in their specific situations and how they deal with them. The characters were all compelling, it's wild how I was into all their storylines. how charming each character/their story was, and how the story juggled them. It also made me see a bunch of actors in new lights, New most of all, as they acted in a role outside of their usual wheelhouse.

I think the most frustrating part for me was how it seemed like although they were getting at it, they never quite acknowledged that what Alex did to Jean that night was rape. It made me quite angry actually, especially how Alex's actions didn't feel like it actually took Jean's feelings and trauma and requests into account. I was at least glad that in that timeline, Jean doesn't get back with Alex.

5. What piece of art are you still proud of to this day? (Show or describe) :3 tie between these two thangs... the hack writer one is like. it was a Big Piece for me at the time and tbh still would be. it tookme a while, and like, was one of my first times putting my all into a piece. i could dobetter now, i can see my Errors and so on, but like. i like it! im not ashamed or shit. the paflogic one is just. its. god. its sometimes hard to do things just For Me you know? esp if theyre niche. so going all in on au of a niche (?) game and an even nicher vocaloid/web series like !! and like. i like the layout ?! the comic format . you get it !! i think i did good:) i used it on my portfolio and a teacher at the school complimented it hehe.. also like i lied i just also like like it. i also just like it. i still see stuff i could have done different but i LIKE IT!!!

The double standards when it comes to show!Sansa is so blatant that IDK who they think they are fooling with that. "Everyone got dumber to make show!Sansa smarter!!!" First of all, like you said why is it always Sansa did this Sansa did that, but when it's other characters D&D make them do that? But also umm did you mean Dany? Tyrion lost all his wits the moment he left KL and became part of her storyline. Jon lost all his characterization in order to make Jonono somewhat work. Daario x Dany dynamics is the complete opposite of the books: It's Dany who acts like a lovesick fool (which is fine, she's a teenager) (but oh ofc it can't happen on this show bc "sTrOnG fEmAlE ChArAcTeRs" can't have crushes esp unrequited, that's a role deserved only for characters like Sansa) and Daario is the one who doesn't care. Missandei was killed in order to soften Dany's turn, to make it about grief. Even cutting Missandei's scene in EP4 was to make Dany look good. Imagine if we had had the scene of Missandei leaving Dany alone in the feast to be with her loved one (just like everybody else did) in the same episode where Dany chose the IT over saving Missandei. Or better yet if they had followed up with their set-up and let Missandei and Grey Worm inform Dany that they wanted to leave. End of EP4 would look a lot different then, wouldn't it? And it's not just bending the characters out of her way, the fighting pit scene is vastly different too, and it's again to make D look good: Harpy attacks, Drogon comes to save Mommy, they leave. In the books, Drogon comes bc it smells blood and starts eating people in the arena, people rightly so attack it, Dany chooses her dragon over "her people" and flies away with it and at that pointed she is too excited about flying to care for how Drogon is burning people alive.

D&D favored the characters they liked, or the characters they knew the fans like and the characters they knew they could use as cashcows. Tyrion never molested Sansa, never even admitted he was attracted to a child, they turned him killing Shae in vengeance into self-defense. He doesn't hate Cersei, never talks about wanting to rape her and her children, as he does in the books. They wanted more Tywin, which made Arya look dumb when she didn't name him to Jaqen H'ghar. No one goes around blaming Arya for being stupid, suddenly everyone understands it's D&D's fuck-up.

Sansa has been sidelined in her own story in KL from the beginning, they took all her little moments of agency. They erased her manipulating Joffrey, fooling Tyrion. They mocked her for her crush on Loras, silly girl doesn't realize he's gay hehe, when in the books she is aware Loras isn't interested in her but by then she cares about getting away from Lannisters more than a true love marriage. Margaery became a more important character than Sansa bc sexy seductress is more exciting. Sansa didn't suddenly become a smart woman adept at being Lady of a major house with all that it entails, she didn't suddenly become a shrew political leader who understands how courts work. They erased her political arc, they erased her managing a household in Vale, they erased her intelligence from the very beginning. What happened in the last seasons wasn't them making Sansa more important or smarter, it was course correction bc they fucked up her journey but they had to deliver her book ending.

The way “Jonono” makes me laugh each time I see it! I think the goal is convince themselves, anon. As bad as we had it with the ending of the show, as unhappy as we were, can you imagine being a Dany stan? Thinking she would be embraced for killing Cersei? And you have to watch that happen? Watch Jon kill her to protect Sansa? Or maybe they’re an Arya fan. Can you imagine thinking Arya would be QitN and instead have to watch Sansa be crowned? Sansa didn’t stay in her place and they have to convince themselves that she will in the books because what they envisioned is impossible unless she does. They’re lashing out because we were meant to be proven wrong about everything, not them. So, they hyperfocus on show!sansa and her fans because we took what was theirs. Not that they’ll ever admit it, but I think that’s what it comes down to.

Instead of creating elaborate theories about why Sansa doesn’t matter and what D&D changed to make it so she did in the show, all they have to do is realize everyone was mischaracterized to hide Dark Dany—even Dany. Tyrion can’t be his villainous self or people might begin to suspect something when he’s on team Dany. Jon has to become an inconsistent mess too or the audience will begin to think there’s something wrong with conquering. Sansa has to be possibly traitorous or someone might think, wait, why does Dany deserve to rule these people? Why shouldn’t they be free? Cersei has to be on the throne rather than Aegon to keep the “Dany is saving people” idea afloat.

D&D made the wrong decision when they chose to get to the ending that way, but as soon as you accept, not even full scale Dark Dany, just the fact that to Westeros she is a threat, that whatever her intention she is an agent of chaos, that Tyrion will want to use her and that everyone in Westeros has reasons to fear her, well, then you see how D&D’s choices, while stupid, were towards one end, and yet, instead of acknowledging that, instead of admitting that D&D were building to Dany burning KL for seasons but didn’t want the audience to realize, they come up with elaborate theories for how/why Sansa still doesn’t matter. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Re: Tyrion, there are a lot of people who view his book incarnation very fondly and fully expect him to be a dragon rider/save the word. Apparently, wanting to rape your sister doesn’t make you a bad person but disagreeing with your brother or not liking his gf who threatens your life or breaking a promise does. Interesting. Dany who profits from slavery and orders the death of children is a kind soul, but Sansa allowing a man who raped, tortured, and skinned people to get eaten by his own dogs is too far and now she’s a villain. Interesting. Jon can betray her trust by giving away her freedom, the freedom of their people, and she should be grateful, but Sansa betraying his trust to save him/the South/Westeros means she’s eViL. Interesting. Clearly show Sansa is different from book Sansa (who is incredibly merciful and kind), but their criticism isn’t evenhanded. Why is what everyone else does fine and dandy, but Sansa is the one character no one is permitted to like unless you condemn her. And while you condemn her, don’t get confused and condemn others. You can’t condemn the far worse acts of the book characters because they’re morally grey. Condemn show!Sansa though, that shit isn’t allowed. Their stance is basically, “You don’t love her if you don’t condemn her” which makes no sense, anon. None at all.

I have two main sets of OCs: the Star Wars ones, and the kiddos from The Last, my Inkling Challenge project (that I really need to work on... 😬) so, I shall split this up and give you some introductions!!!

Ember Squadron (Star Wars AU):

ok so first of all, Greer, Joph, and Jacen are all canon characters that I just wanted to play with lol, so: Greer is a former racing pilot turned Leia's head of senatorial staff turned one of the first members of the Resistance. Joph is another pilot and an absolute cinnamon roll who has a crush on Greer (and is also kinda a fanboy of her racing career shsjdndjs) and inserts himself into the Resistance during the same events that spark it — the events of the novel Bloodline by Claudia Gray. Jacen is the son of Hera and Kanan (RIP Kanan) from Rebels and I just wanted to have him around bc he and Joph would be Bros(TM). @fortes-fortuna-iogurtum and I have talked about this a bit lol

now onto the actual OCs!!! there are... not many of them

Tina, who is my imagined kid for if Ezra and Sabine (from Rebels) were to get married — she's the squadron's mechanic and a decent pilot in her own right, with Jedi training and a mild-mannered but spunky personality and is also really good at close combat, like hand-to-hand or lightsaber fights

Ri'an is a somewhat jaded Chiss boy (@ladythespera i have a Chiss OC 👀) who can and will ramble about any of his hyperfixations areas of expertise, which include histories and folklore of various planets as well as a lot of the math necessary for fighter pilots. he takes a while to come out of his shell and is generally pretty prickly, but he bonds with Joph pretty quickly

annnnnd Luca (who may get a name change at some point but also idk) is a Mirialan with a bubbly personality and probably a bit too much energy and need to "win" — she's never met a dare she wouldn't take and can be challenging and combative towards the others (esp. Jacen, who she sees as "the golden boy" of the group because his whole family are Rebellion heroes) but she's also a friendly person

I haven't actually.... *written* anything with these guys, but I do want to someday. I just need to figure out how to give Ri'an a full Chiss name (i don't even know if the apostrophe in his shortened name is technically proper SHDJDJDKSKS I need to check Wookiepedia) now.....

The Last (my original fiction story):

ok fair warning, this is a LARGE ENSEMBLE CAST because it's based on an RP/collaborative writing thing i was a part of at one point

Tara, who is blatantly based on me but WAY cooler shdjdndsj. she's a computer prodigy and the daughter of one of the people who originally found The Last (the like... dubiously magical artifact the story is centered around) — her parents were killed when she was young, though, but they left her (not *just* her, but-) advice, a safe house, and the Last itself.

Topaz is the second in command of their "team" of Last guardians and has known Tara since they were kids. their parents knew each other too, bc Topaz' were also involved with the first generation of people protecting the Last and were killed on the same trip/mission. Topaz is pretty mild-mannered, can be serious, but also does Not take good enough care of himself

Willow is the ACTUAL leader of their team, because she met Tara and Topaz when they were like?? 11 or 12 or something idk, their ages aren't all the same. anyway, she pestered them enough and was trustworthy enough to find out about the Last and she's far more inclined to a leadership, so...yeah. Willow is very petite but bold and can be brash and abrasive, but she really does care about her friends and their mission.

Amberly, the youngest member of the squad; idk how she joined them but she's like a little sister. she's pretty optimistic and is quiet, but not necessarily *shy*, if you get my drift (hehe.... drift 😏)

LARRY MY BELOVED!!!! Larry is an absolute sweetie, a bit of a goofball and very comfortable in his role as the "comic relief" of the group. he's also a mechanic, and is really really good at being a friend to whoever needs one. also, he's a great cook

Zach, who shows up a couple (planned) chapters into the story, is someone Willow met who has a family history with the Last too — most of these kiddos do. his parents were a doctor and an FBI agent, and Zach is following in his dad's footsteps to become a doctor. he's pretty academic and can be uncertain and his loyalties are a bit divided, but because of his history he has a fierce determination to protect the Last.

INTERMISSION BC THERE'S SO MANY KIDS (hopefully I can juggle them all in my writing sjdkdjsksjsk)

Violet is the leader of the OTHER team, who tend to be at odds with Willow's group. she's fairly solemn but can be snarky, and was raised with a very firm direction toward protecting the Last, but from a more... militaristic? I guess? angle than any of the others

Mason, Violet's second in command. he's really just some dude. he's a nice guy and doesn't particularly like being at odds with Willow's team, and is actually fairly friendly toward them tbh. he kinda balances out how hard Violet can be and is the voice of common sense

Promise is Violet's younger sister, but she didn't get the same upbringing before their mom died, and Violet has always tried to protect her from it even when clinging to it herself. Promise is pretty quick and curious but also very sweet and loyal to her sister.

Chance, who's also sorta just some guy??? there's a lot of Guys in this story lol. Chance is a big sweetie, the most recent addition to Vi's team; he and Mason get along pretty well and he also likes the other team. he's loyal enough to Violet that she trusts him, but he's not always totally sure about her attitude lol

and... unless I'm forgetting somebody, that's all of them!!! they're all very very fun characters and dynamics to write — I'm always open for asks talking about any of them (👀 ask me about ships 👀) if you want!!!

I'm working on the next segment of the story and hopefully I can post it soon, so at some point maybe I'll take prompts with my OCs

this is the one form of social media i can vent on and be confident no one is gonna find it, it won’t start drama and i can just go the fuck off

i have this ex friend right? really mf toxic, i cut her off last year n shit is all good, right?

anyways, last week i found out she has been consistently posting abt me on her tik tok, just indirects, since aT LEAST may, probably longer. and i told her the fuck off, made my own shit behind “obsessed” by mariah carrey, after some comments back n forth, the whole incident is said n done, she blocks me. ok cool

here i am, finding out the bitch is *still* making indirects. its a lil less obvious, so of course there’s the possibility it’s not me but knowing the situation im p sure it is-- the caption was like “if you side w someone because they’re crying but dont care about what they did, i hate you” or something like that. and im just at my wits end dude,, (a tiny bit of context; our friend group completely left her when i did, n all of them commented on my video + people who were kinda in our friend group but not completely if that makes sense-- one of the kinda in the group ppl commented on her video n she responded “wtf did i ever do to you” so thats why i think the caption has to do w me)

it doesnt make me as anxious as it used to but it makes me angry dude. n the indirects were really fuckin wild. im not tryna explain the situation too much because it was a whole year of verbal/mental abuse that i somewhat tuned out because *trauma*, but she was making wholeass posts abt my relationship. thats what is was, each n every time.

makes sense bc it was the whole fucking issue when we were friends, but they were straight lies. shit abt how he cheated on me and-- she KNOWS its not true. SHE KNOWS, the whole issue is she was overly involved in my relationship because we were both her best friends.

the whole reason this incident happened in the first place was because two days before i made my thing calling her out, she posted ANOTHER indirect. idk how many of yall are on tiktok, but it was the trend “introduce yourself as why you and your ex bsf dont talk” and gUeSs wHaT iT SaID?? “i dont like when my friends get cheated on”. its amazing the mental gymnastics she has to go through to feel correct in the situation. AMAZING. making up whole ass events that didnt happen (when we had our lil confrontation she cited him cheating on me when WE WERENT TOGETHER dnkjfheifjoewi)

god this probably reads so weirdly because its a random insight to a situation without full context + it jumps all over. im sorry about that i just physically cannot dude. im a legal adult next year, class of 2021 babey and it fucking blows my mind theres still this middle school drama bs going on. and i cant do shit, because all she will do is block me when i call her out on her bs and then continue to post abt it. when it first happened it made me feel happy and relieved that i stood up for myself for once but then finding out shes doing the same shit shes just a fucking coward.

ig whats sending me more is the one comment she left on my video was “bell would you like to say this to my face” n then BLOCKED ME N CONTINUED TO SHIT TALK I-

i know i need to work on letting it not bother me-- she will talk her shit, she will spew her lies, and at least all of the people who were there for the situation know shes wrong-- n thats all that matters. but anxiety is a bitch sometimes. plus i guess it just hurts, she was such a gaslighting, manipulative person n it fucking hurts to see her lie and turn that shit on me. esp because my mind is littered with mental instability that i will start to bELIEVE IT HDhnfiujfo. it makes me mad that i have to deal with the trauma she gave me n she gets to sit there making tik toks lying about what happened to strangers online to validate her. what bothers me even more is it wasnt even about our relationship really. it was just about MY relationship with my boyfriend which feels so fucking weird. especially bc half of her tiktoks are directed at calling me a bad person (+saying how much better she is than me lmao) n missing my bf (who she calls her “brother” even though she gaslit him and manipulated him all the same djifhbdi) and the other half is like she misses me ??? considering the latest indirect (before she blocked me) was abt why we arent friends anymore

i cannot stress enough how fucking done i am. it stresses me out because i cut her out of my life so i wouldnt have to deal w it and i feel like i cant escape her and i hate it i want to move out of this fuckign town so i never have to have the possibility of running into her

but if i do run into her you bet your ass im calling her pussy ass out >:)

Does Something you know??? and i just love yona so much for that she’s so admirable like putting yourself out there even though you’re scared??? i..... h. and wow i’m really going off track . i feel like that all really fueled lili’s next actions of taking the golden water seal and making all those decisions for the better in order to try to get rid of the nadai. if i remember correctly, even though she was scared and knew of the repercussions, she still went on because of the courage she saw yona had and because she really cared about her nation and i just !!!!! fuck man !!!!!!!! she’s so strong and that made me so happy to see that she wasn’t held back by her fears and that she was willing to sacrifice things for the better like . god man .

and i just love their friendship besides that like when they hung out in the tent and just their convos are so fun!!!!! i love that yona is lili’s first friend like i think that’s so cwute ))): i would die to see an ova or an extra story of just them hanging out and having fun like god i really love their bond so much like every time they’ve had to part i get so emo like no please stay together T___T and i also really love that they’re both figures ??? of royalty in some sense idk why i think it’s kool gkjdghfdoh and that guy who tried to kill yona after they were exiled, his chara dev was great i love and appreciate that gjkfdhgjf

hm i like to think that the night of when that happened, yona just sits with hak outside and he just starts talking about his feelings and yona is just there listening because hak doesn’t really talk about his feelings )): he usually keeps the Cool and Strong front for Princess Yona but those feelings are bound to come out one day, and that day was after seeing soo won again. he goes on about how it felt to see him again and you know about how he just felt so betrayed and hurt, about how ‘i refuse to believe that the gentleness we were shown was fake’ (as said by yona but i like to think that hak feels this way too) and i just feel like that makes it so much more painful because. you have someone who was your childhood friend who was really nice to you and who you had a lot of fun with. then one day they turn around and suddenly take the life of someone very important to you. you want to hate this person and detest them and lock away any memory of them, but it’s hard because you have fond memories of them, they were a good person to you. so then it’s like how do you feel??? i feel like it leaves them feeling vvv conflicted and torn. and it’s just so. heartbreaking to hear hak express his feelings like this esp because she can Feel his hurt. they’re sitting side by side and it’s dark with Minimal moonlight but she can still see the slight tears ): she can’t hear him crying because he’s talking normally and masking it somehow gjdkfhgjf but she gently puts his head on her shoulder and takes his hand and i die unpopular opinion: hm i sadly don’t see that many akayona opins in general so i don’t know :/// oh hm one of them may be that i don’t really like soo won??? gdjkghf like i’ve seen some people say they like hm... and i honestly don’t know how to feel??? i’m trying to pay more attention to his character during my reread and right now i’m Conflicted because . you know gjdkfghdfjgf but hm he is interesting thoughhow’d you find it: OH boy so i have a friend who i watched anime with during my last year of hs and she recommended that we watch yona!!! it was sososo funny omg the anime is so fun!!!! i really loved it and decided to read the manga and oh Man am i so happy that i did because it shows way way more than the anime does and it’s SO good SO amazing i love

random thoughts: zude i feel SO sad for zeno ))): okay before i go into it, first can i just say. the fucking TRAUMA of everyone seeing his power for the first time???? when he got cut up and got his HEAD cut off ???? like miss kusanagi did not hold back with that and showed it i gjdghj and god yona’s expression when that happened like the HORROR on her face i . even though he ended up being okay, i don’t know how someone can recover from that trauma you know???? of seeing a loved one get their head taken off like that??? like god....

but anyway onto my point gdjfklgf i feel so sad for him because of his immortality )))): like he’s going to go through his life meeting and bonding with so many people that he’s going to eventually lose )): as he goes through out his life, he must get sad thinking about the people who he’s lost and how he can never talk to them again no matter what. he carries these memories of loved ones and i think that SUCKS i would literally just want to die i don’t think i can deal with a loved one dying, and for that to happen again and again forever???? like..... zude
