Something I forgot to mention in this post about 8th house synastry!! I've noticed for some reason this overlay tends to manifest more positively when the house person already has 8th house placements in their natal chart (not a guarantee tho). I feel like its because this makes the house person be more naturally in their power and the planet person no longer feels like they can have control over the house person. In these cases instead of envy the planet person feels admiration and "positive" obsession over the house person like "Im obsessed with you, queen!🥰​😍​🤩​" kinda vibe

If Libra Moons didn’t have the ability to detach fast they could easily pass as water moons 100%. They are such hopeless romantics and love having someone to love be that friends or partners. I see so many people thinking that Dazai would fall for someone cheerful, and bubbly, who would approach him first.

Honestly, I disagree.

I think the opposite. Maybe it’s because I see part of myself in Dazai (and Yozo from the No Longer Human), or maybe because it’s simply because I’m not a bubbly, happy, person in general (but i wanna be with him jkjk unless… ) but. I personally disagree with that headcannon, I don’t really see it happening. Obviously, there are cases of characters liking an innocent, sweet, bubbly darling (cough. Nikolai. Chuuya. Akutagawa. Atsushi.) But, for Dazai… I feel like that would be too boring for him. Not as in he wouldn’t like it that way… but it would be too easy for him, ya know? Like there’s no challenge, there’s no… interest in doing that. Why would Dazai want someone so open, so innocent, so bubbly and kind, who would listen to anything he said? That’s not even genuine, that’s fake. Everyone has their own secrets, their lies, and they create a fake mask for everyone else to see. They wouldn’t want to show their true self… because it’d make them not only look bad… but also we’d all be extremely vulnerable. And violent.

Dazai knows this better than anyone else. I’d like to think, anyways. And innocent people like that, whether genuine or not, usually would deter him because they’re… too easy to pursue. Despite being a good liar himself, I don’t think he’d want someone who would fake the niceness, because it would be obvious from the start. Dazai doesn’t strike me as someone who would enjoy breaking his darling down (that’s Fyodor’s thing bro would definitely like someone who is fake). He has some morality, he doesn’t like using mind break. After all, that goes against what Oda told him to do. However, he’d definitely enjoy mind games, he’d like to pick you apart to get to know you better. Better than you know yourself. And once he does, he can leverage you however he likes to be his ideal woman. Even that manga q and a (I’lll find the link later) said that Dazai likes all women because he can make them into what he wants. Someone who’s outright innocent and kind wouldn’t be able to achieve that effect for him. It doesn’t offer him the challenge, it doesn’t offer him any kind of challenge in just manipulating someone innocent who barely hides anything. That would be a bad thing, and even his skwered sense of whatever morals he has would disagree with it. He wouldn’t even be able to fall for someone like that. Simple-minded people, just aren’t for him.

So, in prose, I’d like to offer an alternate idea: Dazai would like a darling that’s, obviously to a similar intelligence as him (otherwise they’d be… too easy), but very distant. Not as in a “they have a mask on”, kind of way. But in a. They’re apathetic, cold, and aren’t great at communicating kind of way. I think it’s an interesting dynamic. The first time when Dazai sees them, he may not even think much of them. Neutral cold face doesn’t say many sentences and wants him to leave. Maybe a slight fear of him, that he approached them. However, as time passes by, Dazai realizes he likes them. He genuinely craves their presence. He notices the way you don’t exactly know what his motives are, he enjoys the way you flinch when he touches your hands, or blush and do not know how to respond to his comments.

He sees all of it. And he wants to see who you really are. Behind your true mask. Maybe you’re a narcissist. Maybe you’re just a kind innocent person. Or maybe… you’re just as empty and lonely as he is. Whatever you are, he’ll eventually turn you into what he wants. It’s just a matter of time.

It’s like he’s looking at a Christmas present, and trying to guess the contents inside. The curiosity kills him. He wants to look at what it is now, but he can’t. He can’t. Until it’s Christmas day. So in the meantime, he’ll do everything except pull down the thin wrapping paper, and the apathetic, cold face you put on for everyone around you. It’s rather difficult actually, you do a pretty good job at covering your true self. You’re a skilled liar, you can control any physical reactions you have towards his questions.

But that just makes it all the more addictive.

The second you slip up, even just for a tiny. Little. Bit. Dazai is able to pinpoint a lot about you. It’s almost like he tore off a corner of the wrapping paper on his present, and he’s knows a lot about what it is. It’s more than he expected. It was just one facial expression. A face of shock, to anger, and then you calm yourself to the best of your abilities again. It’s barely noticeable to the average person. But that’s the thing. Dazai isn’t average. 

He’s the smartest man you’ll ever know.

It makes you feel conflicted. And you’re aware this is probably where Dazai wants you to be. And it is. Dazai finally was able to make a dent on the thin walls inside your mind. The walls that separated your true self, from others. And he’d pick and tear down these walls continuously until he was able to see inside.

But for Dazai... it’s his Christmas day. Dazai felt like his efforts... his waiting, his long awaited efforts were finally rewarded. All it took was one little slip on your behalf, one tiny little tear, for the wrapping paper to completely fall off. And as it lays discarded on the floor, Dazai admires the gift. He admires you. Your mind is such a vulnerable place. Yet in its own way, it’s beautiful and fragile. He feels like he physically cannot tarnish it. Yet... you’re so much more different than he thought. 

You’re niether a kind person, nor a violent one. You’re not broken, you’re not depressed nor anxious nor scared. You’re not nearly what he idealizes so much, and you’re not some insane slave to your ideals. No... what was inside that box and wrapping paper all this time was similar to a piece of piece of glass. Plainly boring in its own way... yet beautiful if shaped in the right hands.

"Is there a reason we're hovering around a neighborhood at four in the fucking morning?" Clementine asked Five with a big yawn, sitting in his car. Well, it wasn't exactly his, he'd borrowed it from Viktor. "Because you might not sleep, but I sure as hell do."

"Don't worry, I got you this," Five said and handed her a cup of coffee. He was in another outfit, wearing a pair of casual jeans, a t-shirt, and two jackets to battle the early morning cold. Clementine on the other hand was wearing jogging pants, a t-shirt, and a hoodie.

"I don't drink black coffee," she stated. "It messes up my system."

"I know. That's why I got you a cold coffee with dark chocolate," he said, his face twisting in disgust. "As much as it pained me to say those words, I didn't want you running to the toilet between our mission."

"We're here for a mission?" she said after a big gulp of the drink, already looking a little alert.

"Yes. That there," he pointed to a house in the distance. "Is Gene and Jean's house."

"Okay. So?"

"Well, we need to search their house," Five said plainly, turning his head to look at her with a matter-of-factly look.

Clementine's eyes only furrowed as she tipped her head back to finish her coffee, shuddering as she gulped it in. Then, after wiping her lips with her sleeve, she turned to face him.

"Why?"

Five threw his hands in the small space of his car exasperatedly. "Why does it even matter, Tina?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because we should be focusing more on the missions that are assigned to us."

"Oh, fuck that," Five said in the same annoyed tone, his hands on the steering wheel. "It's easy as hell and you know it. This.. is a real challenge."

Clementine leaned back against the car door, looking at the house. Then, she sighed in defeat. "Fine. But this is absolutely off record."

"Obviously," he said, opening the door and exiting the car. Clementine followed, throwing the coffee cup into a trash can on the way.

They walked, keeping their heads down, shoving their hands in their pockets. They went round the back of the house, picked the lock on the back door, and entered through there.

"You know when the folks will be back?" Clementine whispered, switching her flashlight on, shining it around.

"Yeah, they'll be here till seven," he said, switching his light on as well. He'd kept a thorough watch on them for about two weeks.

They took different rooms to search, not really finding anything of importance, but making sure to place it perfectly as it was. After two hours, they stood in the hall tiredly, talking in hushed tones.

"Well, that's two hours of my life wasted," Clementine muttered.

"Believe me, Tina, I wouldn't have brought us here at an ungodly hour if I didn't think we would find anything," Five retorted back.

"Yeah, well, we didn't, did we? Do we have anything that we can write in a report? No."

"Yeah, fine, maybe I just need to tail them even more," he muttered.

Clementine took in a deep, calming breath, setting a hand on her hip. "Okay, no, alright? You're not doing that."

Five scoffed and looked at her with a challenge in his eyes. "Oh, what, are you gonna stop me, Clementine?"

She returned the look taking a step closer to him. "Yes. Drop this case or I tell Lance."

He let out a laugh with no humor, shoving his hands in his pockets. "You're gonna snitch on me?"

"Yeah," she stated plainly with a nod.

"I'd like to see you try," he said with a glare.

She opened her mouth to argue, but there was some noise outside. Keys jangling, one slotting perfectly into the lock of the front door. Two people talking excitedly.

Five and Clementine were frozen, Clementine's wide, panicked eyes on the door as Five's thoughts ran a mile a minute in his head.

He moved first, pulling her with him, to a basement downstairs that looked unused. Which probably meant that they didn't go down there much.

There were big shelves in there, and half of them were filled, helping them hide in a corner.

"I thought you said they don't come back till seven!" She whisper-shouted.

"They did for the last two weeks!"

"Well, darling, that was a nice find, wasn't it?" they heard from upstairs.

"That's Jean with a J," Five whispered to Clementine.

"Yes, darling. Though, what do you reckon it is?"

"And that's her husband, Gene with a G."

He saw her lip twitch into a smile, as she bit her cheek, making him smile in amusement as well.

"Oh, I don't know, Gene. And, y'know, who cares? All we know is we have more proof to get more people in on this," Jean replied happily.

Five and Clementine shared a curious look, straining to hear more.

"Oh, could you just hold this, darling?" Jean asked, followed by a noise of some tinkering, like glass against glass. "Oh, while you have that, just keep it outside the basement, yeah?"

Clementine suddenly jolted with a hand on her mouth, making Five jump with her.

"What?" Five gritted out.

"The door! We didn't close it properly!" Clementine whispered in panic.

Five looked at the door to check and found that she was right, the door was a bit ajar. They could get suspicious, given their nature and their jobs.

"Fuck," he cursed under his breath, and kept cursing, looking around and finding some old, dusty cupboard. He got up, pulling Clementine up by the hood attached to her hoodie, almost making her yelp as he pushed her into the small space and got in with her, closing the door on them, just leaving a crack to see through.

Both of them held their breath, Clementine's hands curling around his jacket as she looked through the crack. Five almost fell on top of her, his hand slapping onto the wall of wood beside her head and the other went to hold on to her hoodie pocket for balance. She gasped as she helped him regain his footing, both of them catching each other's eyes as they breathed once again, realizing their nearness to each other.

At the same time, Gene was stumbling down the corridor that led to the basement. Balancing one crate of these jars of golden, glowing bullshit was one thing, but two of 'em? That was another thing.

It was harder because he couldn't see where he was going. He was relying solely on muscle memory as his arms started going numb from the heavy weight.

"Jean! I think I'm gonna drop these!" He called out to his wife.

"Oh, shit! Hold on, darlin', I'm coming!" Jean answered.

But, she was delaying too much. Gene's arms went fully numb, and the crates slipped from his arms, falling down. All the jars broke, leaving the golden, glowing particles to float into the air, flying speedily outside the window, and as if it had a mind of its own, parted into small groups, going to find their respective destinations.

A few of them went into the basement, going through the items on the shelves, including an old radio which had a cassette stuck in it. The power of those particles caused the radio to start up again, playing the beginning of Sweet Caroline, making Five and Clementine jump in the closet, their eyes going to look through the small space that the door left.

The particles went through the crack of the cupboard, looking like very tiny fireflies, but they didn't really notice, more focussed on the fact that Gene was coming into the basement to collect the old radio.

He chuckled, going out and calling out to Jean, telling her that the old radio was working again. Five and Clementine heaved relieved breaths, the golden particles that had been sucked out of Five, permeating through his skin

In the corridor, where Jean was fuming, Gene started to lead her in a dance to cheer her up, and even if she was sad, she started smiling. Dancing with one's love was always nice.

A group of the marigold travelled through various buildings and ventilation systems, to end up in Luther's apartment. It filtered in through the gate of a shaft in his bedroom, flying up, twinkling and gleaming as it flew into his slightly open, smiling mouth. His dreams hadn't been giving him trouble and despair for the past few nights.

A pair of groups travelled an even longer distance, ending up in the home of Allison Hargreeves Chestnut. Allison, who was practicing lines, in the bright living room, didn't even think of anything else as she just sighed and gave it another shot, the marigold seeping into her skin.

Meanwhile in the basement, Klaus was munching on some midnight cereal as he watched a cartoon on the television. He was finally happy with himself for once. Content. He distractedly put the spoon in his mouth as the marigold went into the skin on his arm, illuminating it for a second before disappearing.

Another ended up in a dingy motel room where Ben sat, lonely and bored, with his head bent and eyes closed. He was resisting the urge to call Klaus, to ask if he wanted to go for a walk somewhere. He took in a deep breath to calm himself, breathing in the marigold with the air.

Another big group, travelled through a sweet neighborhood with houses filled with families, one of them being the house of Diego and Lila. The marigold entered through their bedroom window, where they were lying in bed entangled with each other. Lila hadn't been a big cuddler before Diego. But then, here she was, reaching for him while she slept, as he gathered her up in his arms, a hand cradling her head on his chest and hugging her to him in his sleep. Their shared breaths were filled with the marigold.

One group went to Dallas, to a little farm outside, going through the stables and scaring the horses, before entering the barn, where a boy was playing with his toys. Looking at the golden particles he smiled in awe, then went back to his toys, playing with them, as the marigold seeped into the skin on the back of his neck.

Another was floating in Nova Scotia, in a closed bar, where Viktor was drunk on half a bottle of whiskey, thinking about his fucked up dating life. The patrons had been right earlier, when yet another girl broke up with him. He had blown through all the girls in town. The last good relationship he'd had was with Sissy and he sighed. He missed her.

It was his last thought when his upper body fell facedown onto the table with a snore. The marigold went into his body by the skin of his hand.

Awake or asleep, all 44 of them had the same vision. Albeit, for the ones who were awake, it was more like a flash of memory.

A world where all was fine. No powers. No apocalypse. No foreign elements. No mysteries to solve, nothing. Just people, living their lives, as time went about normally.

Only for seven people, was it truly a dream, one they would have liked to achieve the first time.

Another A/N: Omg i hope y'all like this one. I had so much fun writing this one. I feel like I should use this technique when I write my novels too, it just seems like a lot of fun. haven't listened to any musicals in a while, but some of my favourites are

jekyll and hyde: the gothic musical thriller (and i am talking about the concept album, that has anthony warlow interpreting jekyll and hyde. the official on-broadway album is kinda meh imo)

so like. the producer of the musical was disappointed in the original gothic novella written by robert louis stevenson (the strange case of doctor henry jekyll and mister edward hyde), so they decided to make a musical about it, adding thier own vision, some new characters and subplots etc etc, while still following the main plot

main plot that is about Henry Jekyll, a silly doctor that wants to separate the good and evil from one another, hoping to eliminate all evil in the world in the process. while his intentions are good, the results of his actions aren't as good <\3 there's more to it, of course, but silly spoilers i guess- tho i can tell u more if you wanna, just let me know!

as for favourite songs we have i need to know, lisa carew, board of governors, bring on the men (tw suggestive), alive and the girls of the night

How about snuggle drunk Eclipse, during a snuggle session, realizing he never actually apologized for the things he did, like threatening to take over Sun and Moon's bodies. He startled babbling out apologies, and saying he'll make it up to them. he stops trying to cuddle and refusing meals cuz he feels like he doesn't deserve it even though he really wants to, and focuses way more on trying to help Moon with whatever projects he's doing, or helping Sun in the daycare, and giving the Blood twins bloodbags and toys that emulate live prey. He even tries to apologize to Roxy since it's been a few months after the maternity chip was removed, though she doesn't realize who he is at first.

Sun, Moon, Lunar, and even the twins are upset by this cuz he hasn't let them touch him affectionately in weeks and has only been charging via a charger and hasn't been taking time for himself. It's not like he needs those things, he'll be fine. They eventually manage to confront him about it tho and assure him that they forgive him and he doesn't need to do this to himself anymore.

officially reached a point where i'm considering some methods again tonight (it's not that special, i do it every few days. bc. my mental state is shit and i literally always want to die)

someone i vaguely know talked abt their own recent attempts via pills. as well as that friend of a friend i mentioned earlier who talked abt someone he knew trying to jump off the 8th floor. and like i know neither of these will work

it's the 9th floor in my case, i look down and can tell it's not high enough, i'll have to get incredibly lucky to NOT survive this

pills i already tried when i was a teen, and it literally just. gave me a headache for a few days. that's it. 30 pills at once and it didn't do anything. didn't even need to go to a hospital

cutting doesn't work. idk if my knife's not sharp enough or if my methods aren't right or if i simply have a thick skin but i can barely even make myself bleed at all really, let alone enough to pose myself any danger. only managed to properly bleed one time a few months ago. it didn't even leave any mark tho

jumping in front of moving vehicles didn't work. they just stop lol. also at this point (bc all of these attempts were in my teens too) ik like jumping off the 9th floor i'll be lucky to not survive it unless i get hit and run in some remote place and bleed out before someone gets me help. which. as you can tell. isn't really an option

guns aren't an option. rockets being shot down are more likely to injure than kill me if i get hit by their pieces by any chance. fire scares me (also it's probably the most painful way to die AND worst aftermath if i do survive it). drowning is incredibly hard to do without something helping you by weighing or holding you down. inhaling carbon monoxide or some other lethal but not too painful gas sounds most chill but idk where or how I'd do that. can you tell i researched this shit lol

i can imagine my life would've been worse if not for that. im twitchy and anxious as is, and i was already scared of the way he'd grip my arms or shoulders too tightly. i didn't know he used to hit my brother until i was like 14 or something, and it was a shock but also.. not exactly surprising? idk, i'd always gotten the impression that when he gave me a death glare what he REALLY wanted to do was smack me. its interesting to find out i was sorta right.

It's only like a warning because yeah, I mean... Where I live is pretty normal to be "hitted" and as you say is often used as a joke because: Bruh I did this shit at home and mom was so angry she hitted the hell out of me with a damn Broom. It's kinda weird actually to see how it's actually s fucked up thing to say BC is pretty common to hear: it's for their own good/ they need to learn matters but eh...

Tbh my case of being hitted is because of miscommunication and mental problem of mine that my parental figure gets over irritated. Many many times I can't cry in front of them for that reasons.

The excuse of being used to educate is pretty stupid because of how incompetent people can be dealing with emotions and making s kid learn without violence <3 violence gave me emotional issues and I easily get annoyed by things and at myself.

I mean I've been accused on those times when they try to smack me of hurting them.
