Since Nauno can't read, Euphi is more than happy to read stories to them! Getting books they'd like is a little awkward, since Fynn and Nauno got banned from the nearest library (Actually not for the reasons you'd think! Nauno's just really loud and Fynn accidentally set the carpet on fire one time) Euphi has to go out and borrow them heartself and try and figure out what Nauno would like since they say they don't care but actually Nauno cares a lot and is really picky about stories.

Nauno is sitting on the floor in this idk why I think it's just kinda cute. Also I couldn't think of a book title. I imagine Nauno's taste in stories is a jarring mix of children's books and steamy gay romance novels. And Yaoi. Can't forget the Yaoi. So uhh just replace that book with your favorite book that fits. Euphi doesn't really mind what the stories about, as long as Nauno's enjoying it.

After the love of your life returns back from spain, you decide to hold a small but much needed celebration with him, together.

Warnings: gn reader, angsty undertones, hurt/comfort?? possibly ooc sae bc idk how to write him, no beta we die like the light in rin's eyes. Not proofread it's 12 am and i cant sleep so sorry if it seems rushed

Word count: 539 words

"Hm? What's this?" Sae curiously eyed the mysterious box laid out on the table, before shifting his gaze towards you with a raised eyebrow.

You said nothing, other than silently gesturing for him to open it with an encouraging smile on your face. Sae complies, albeit hesitantly. As he carefully opens the box, his eyes widen slightly in surprise.

"Cake?" He blinks, confused. Sure, you were full of surprises (literally), but you getting him cake was completely out of nowhere.

Four different slices of cake to be exact.

"Do you like it?" You looked at him expectantly, absent-mindedly drumming your fingers against the mahogany table.

"I would've gotten you four whole cakes if I could, but those were too expensive so I had to settle for these." You sheepishly grinned, grabbing a plastic fork that came along with the cakes.

"Here, I got them each in your favourite flavours, which one do you wanna eat first?" You handed Sae a fork and a paper plate, who was still dumbstruck from the surprise. "Come on Sae, before I decide to eat them all myself!" You nudged him playfully, before taking a small bite out of the strawberry shortcake.

"Why…" Your boyfriend began to speak, pursing his lips to form a small frown, he didn't look upset or annoyed at all however, he looked… thoughtful.

"Why did you get me these?" He asked blankly, with no hint of any emotion behind it. It made your stomach twist, oh no, does he not like sweets? That could be the reason, he was a renowned athlete after all, a prodigy.

Why did you even bother to try?

"I uh, just wanted to surprise you, y'know?" The words begin to choke in your throat, your cheerful smile falters a little, something chips away inside you, it's heavy, and it tugs at your heartstrings uncomfortably.

"I missed you, a lot."

Ah, he realises.

Four cakes.

Four years.

Four miserable years that he's been away, from his home, his brother.

From you.

And suddenly, you find yourself engulfed in Sae's slightly shaky, but warm embrace, finally. Strong arms awkwardly wrap around your body as you bury your head into the crook of his neck, sighing deeply in relief.

"I… I missed you too." Sae says, hugging you tighter like his life depended on it. Like you were the very air he breathed in.

"God, I'm no good for you, mi amor." He muttered softly into your ear, with how close you both were, you could now clearly see just how tired he was.

"Shush, don't say that. I wouldn't trade you for anyone else." You nuzzled your face into Sae's chest, shutting your eyes to relish this moment even more as you felt your lover press a gentle kiss onto your forehead.

You wished you could stay like this forever.

And you both did, kind of.

"So, can I eat my cake now?" Sae interrupted after a while.

"Wow, how nice of you to ruin the moment, genius."

"Mi amor, I thought you said these cakes were for me, no? Also that strawberry shortcake is mine."

"If you want, fine but- Hey, where are you going?! At least let me hug you for a little longer!"

AHHH THIS IS GREAT!! ESPECIALLY THE MURAL!!!! It's so prettyyyy

Alright it's now the first edition of: Donut reviews aquariums! I'm not sure what aquarium this is but my over all impression is... it's very nice :) and well kept. The jellies look healthy and happy ^-^

Now for the bullets:

I'm still pretty hit-or-miss with my jellyfish identification but it looks like there's Atlantic and Pacific Sea nettles, and maaaybe Amakusa Jellyfish (or perhaps another morph of Atlantic sea nettle/Bay Nettle, I still have trouble differentiating between the species). Anyways this has to be the most diversity I've ever seen in sea nettles- most only carry one or two species :>

A little confused as to why the "Moon jellyfish" card is above a tank that's clearly for jellyfish that are... not moon jellyfish. What? ??? I was hoping to get some clarification ;~;;;

Also, the difference in stripes for what I'm guessing is an atlantic nettle is AMAZING. Some are thicker than others and this is a real treat for the eyes. Can't wait to see them for myself in real life, one day

AUGHH I LOVE UPSIDE DOWN JELLYFISH. When I saw them for the first time at the Ripley's Aquarium, I pretty much acted the same as I did when I first found an Emmet Cosplayer at a Con (which was uhm. trip over myself and fall onto the ground haha). Looks like this tank is getting plenty of light, though Ripley's Aquarium had an open space on the top (probably to control the temperature or something? Idk). The tank looks flat too, instead of round. Like a hole in the wall ^-^. I think its quite nice though, we should really get an upside down jelly cam one of these days, I'm tired of moon jellies and sea nettles

It might just be the lighting but there are not that many zooxanthellae tags on the jellies... I wonder why? Are these Cassiopea ornata? I typically don't see them with as many tags as I do with C. xamachana

You might notice there's a slight variation in tags too- some more "stringy" and the one on the front that actually look like "tags," haha.

For once the moon jelly exhibit isn't so flashy, haha :). I think it's quite refreshing (! Kind of weird how all the other jellies are put into circle kreisel tanks while the moon jellies are in a discrete rectangle kreisel tank. Haha.

Anyways yeah!! I give these jellyfish exhibits an 8/10. They're pretty solid and have fairly good diversity. They also did a good job of choosing pretty looking jellyfish. And most importantly, it looks like the jellies are in pretty good health ^-^!! Always a bonus :>

i generally write happy endings, no matter how hellish the road to that happy endings is. i do, however, have a Bad End dbh oneshot. Fair Compensation. it's straight up non-con, and from aggressor pov, so viewer discretion is advised

gosh idk how i could pick. as i said in the previous answer, i try to leave off on a high note. Truth in Melody or perhaps Promises to Keep. wouldn't say they're happier than others, but they're among my longest fics, which means the characters had to go through some bullshit to get those happy endings lmfao

8. Do you get hate on fics?

a couple times. more often, i get weird / uncomfortable comments that i just ignore

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i do! well, i'd say "kinky" tends to be a general theme ahahaha and feelsy! smut in my chaptered fics are more basic, the oneshots can be wild though. and then there's from the depths, an ancient song, where i wrote a foursome involving a LOT of tentacles. like a lot. so take that how you will.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

ive dabbled in ideas, but rarely get around to actually writing them. i do like the concept of smashing my favourite universes together, though. my dbh vampire series is basically just the lore of vampire: the masquerade, but i wouldn't consider it a full crossover

fluff, unless it's the resolution to angst lmfao i need to build up to it. drop me straight into a nothing scenario of fluff and i don't know what to DO. technical-wise, idk, descriptions i think

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

it certainly has its place and can be done well! but it's easy to mess it up, too. you need to make sure it's accurate and fitting for the scene, you need to avoid racist stereotyping, you need the story to still make sense and flow well. if the message isn't clear because most readers don't know the language, or have to keep looking it up / reading author notes, that's immersion-breaking imo. with fictional languages where much of the fanbase is familiar with the common words, though, no big deal i'd say

19. First fandom you wrote for?

honestly i think it was the cartoon, angry beavers lol i didn't know what's what i was doing, at the time. as far as serious, intentional stories, maybe firefly? or xmen?

20. Favorite fic you've written?

i cannot pick just one lol 4 is as low as ill go

previously linked Winter Chill and Summer Bloom: this is very hurt/comfort, my favourite thing, with a bunch of my other favourite things tossed in. touch-starvation, non-verbal character, characters getting away from the location of their suffering to heal in a better place, both physically and mentally, sweet slice of life stuff etc.

take these broken wings and learn to fly: more h/c! this one starts off heavy as hell and involves a lot of Process of Healing (to no ones surprise, at this point). healing has gotta be one of my favourite genders. also it's femslash.

Sight & Shadows: it's both plot- and character-driven, i'm happy with how i balanced both simultaneously. it's my vampire au, and other than the v:tm lore borrowing, it feels almost original to me. it's a rarepair, in an au--as niche as it gets, shaped a lot by the universe and story i put together for the whole series. it was a joy to create, because i truly did write this for ME. i wouldn't say any of my fics were written for others, per se, but i guess this one just felt different from the start. i wasn't anticipating an audience, i was just telling the story these characters needed, the way i like to do it. i had great friends supporting me through it, so i wasn't alone in the process or anything, it just felt the most like writing an original story than any of my other fics have

into the light of the dark black night: first of all, yes, 2/4 fics listed here are titled with lyrics from blackbird by the beatles. blackbird lyrics means intense feelings, that's just how it is. i've done it twice, and ill DO IT AGAIN. anyway, this one takes place in one of dbh's grimmest possible endings--the nuclear blast ending. i did a lot of research for this one, and also put a lot of thought into handling it with as much care as i think a concept like this requires. it's weighty, but hopeful. it has apocalypse elements, which i love. i got to do cyberpunky stuff as well. i added some of the elements i think dbh would have included if d@vid cage weren't a coward. i projected multiplicity onto some of the characters. i got to write north as the steadfast and successful leader of the revolution, as she deserves. blackbird fly <3

🍊—Who’s a character you don’t write for that often, but keep meaning to write for more? (They’re so interesting! But maybe you have trouble pinning them down, or keep getting distracted by another blorbo)

Layla and Jake from MK auGHh! They both have sm n I have several fic ideas to go more in depth on Jake specifically, but in most of what I have now they’re often relegated to interaction or side appearances even tho they give me sO MANY THOUGHTS!! I think that’s part of the issue bc most ideas would b longer and more involved n I rly only am doing short stuff atm. I rly gotta do some stuff with them soon tho!

🍍—What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or just generally have beef with?

Honestly I’m not much of an AU man, I more like stuff that plays with small tweaks or missing pieces of canon over drastic changes, as for me at a certain point it doesn’t feel like the characters I want to explore anymore. There are exceptions ofc but yeah, generally. Overall I like role swap AUs? I think they can give a good look at how characters got to where they are and how they address issues differently, but again that’s sort of playing in canon sandbox as well. Idk if timeloop counts as an AU or a trope but I like that as well, as well as stuff that’s more… switch around pieces but general universe is the same.

Beef wise, I don’t like no power aus for super heroes if there’s nothing else interesting or it’s not exploring like “this isn’t how it should be” type stuff. Same for modern Star Wars stuff w no aliens or paralleling structures like those? Are just guys now? Those are not the same guys? Both make a lot of conflicts feel less there and changes a lot of fundamentals. Also not a big fan of fantasy AUs for non fantasy properties? But that’s my personal issues w not being as much of a fantasy guy unfortunately 😭 Idk. I’m just not rly an AU guy haha.

🥝—What’s your favorite trope/AO3 tag to write?

Ig nonsexual (but also sometimes sexual) intimacy and 5(or however many)+1’s.

For the first it’s something about exploring people physically, and seeing the ways they find connection and boundaries with touch and contact, it’s just rly fun for me. I loVe sense of self exploration and how sensory input is felt and wanted is a huge part of that. Also has a lot of good descriptors, with warmth and rough/softness, hair texture, eyes and noses and stomachs. Good stuff. Can be gentle or sad or sexy or sweet and I always find at least a bit in all of my stuff.

For the second it’s similar in an examination sense, but more abstract, about seeing the space the character(s) take up and the reactions they have under certain circumstances. It can explore a swath of themes and moments, give a net cast if the characters life and how they’ve moved through it, and it’s relatively bite sized depending on how you go at it, making it perfect for the writing momentum that keeps me going.

🍇 —Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?

Honestly probably a lot but I am sO bad at rmring stuff so this is kinda more like? Topics? From the top of my head: Miguel and Gabriella stuff from ATSV, Moon Knight stuff to do with the duat and with Gus, Miguel holding Mayday briefly, uhhh honestly just all of moon knight actually but JDHBDB that’s to be expected. Also post canon W359 but that’s less canon n more the whole shebang.

I don't think I saw anyone point it out yet, but I remember Tom Holland mentioning in an interview a long time ago that spider-man typically fighting using kicks instead of punches was intentional, to make him seem younger/more inexperienced (also literally holding his punches), so watching him brutally beat down green goblin with his bare fists really hurt to watch :'(
