I don't know if we're all sharing our journeys with you about how we came to our conclusions about Keefe and Fitz, but here's mine:

About a year ago I read Flashback for the first time and that was when I first started to realize that Keefe was manipulative (I know I know, it's a basic argument at this point and it makes people mad when it's brought up, but that's what I noticed, and I wasn't in the fandom so this revelation was.... revelatory?), but I still thought to myself, oh yeah that makes sense given his background (which I still do believe but now it's just too annoying for me idk), and then reading his POV in the Flashback short story, I thought to myself, 'huh, he's saying the perfect things, isn't he? Almost like it's propaganda or something....'

A bit later I went to the internet, and learned that it is very very popular to not like Fitz at all (though I had already seen that in the real world talking to other people in real life), and to compare him to Keefe a lot. So I think that's why I started disliking Keefe, the way so many people perceive him (and compare him to Fitz) just soured my opinion of him. And I know people like to say "you can like both!" And while I do agree with that I don't think that anyone who doesn't isn't less valid or less mature than those who do, which I think is the attitude of some people who make that argument.

Anyway. That is my story (I don't dislike anyone who likes Keefe and Fitz or who likes Keefe and dislikes/hates Fitz)

the one summer sent was because i asked about her story specifically, but now that you mention it, i do want to know everyone’s stories about how they decided what their opinions on fitz and keefe are. i should create a tag . . . anyway send me your stories everybody! i’ll make you a messy little visual.

interesting that flashback was the book that made you see him as manipulative. i personally think it starts a lot earlier, and gets particularly bad in nightfall. and yeah, i talked about this in my rant, but shannon randomly decides to have keefe say all the perfect green flags in flashback/the short story to cover for the fact that his actions literally do not match his words.

i'm not a fan of the idea of a "basic argument" or "complex argument", i'm more of a fan of "valid argument" or "invalid argument". like if an argument is good, it's going to be repeated . . . because it's reliable? that should be a point in its favor not a strike against it. and i'd say saying keefe is manipulative is a perfectly valid argument. but i'm also heavily biased. obviously.

i’m gonna be so honest, i have no idea why people hate fitz so much. like yeah, he gets angry, but he does apologize and try to get better, which i don’t see with keefe. i don’t hate fitz haters and unlike a lot of people in keepblr, i actually respect them, but i don’t understand them.

there is definitely an attitude of people thinking you’re less mature or not as valid if you hate on fitz or keefe. i think, as long as you’re mature about it (and don’t send weird asks), you can dislike whoever you want, and you aren’t a bad person if you do. the idea of "you can like both!" is very true, but i think we do need to respect haters. and i'm not just saying that as a keefe hater. fitz haters (as long as they aren't being weird about it *cough* "Just because your gay doesnt mean Sophie is!!!" anon *cough cough*) deserve respect, as well. acting like hating a character is immature is ridiculous. they are fictional. they are not real. chill out.

ive been thinking about that thing people say about mental illness. yknow, 'its not a part of your personality' 'dont make it your identity' etc

but when you have a personality disorder, that doesnt really make sense anymore.

which makes my feelings on cluster b pride flags a little conflicted. coz, sure, it is fundamentally a part of your personality and certainly shapes your identity, but something about pride flags has always been off to me. perhaps especially as a person with aspd.

now, sure, on the one hand i get it. theres something appealing about having that kind of validation that you arent alone, especially when you are constantly masking and shifting who you are to fit the situation best.

we might have antisocial personality disorder but we are still, at our core, social creatures. we still desire community, we're just also afraid of it.

so yeah, a banner of community and others 'like us' seems fair enough, right?

BUT

theres still something... off to me about it. what it was, exactly, only came to me after a discussion with my partner about DID and PluralKit - yeah i know, im diving into plural drama now, lfg i guess

they showed me an infographic about the process of DID recovery which showed the progression from very disconnected and separated identities to a more blended 'final fusion' (a term they take issue with but thats a different story). i said that PluralKit must be confusing for people on the later ends of the spectrum they were showing me because, at that point, how do you tell who is blending with who? when the lines are blurry, how do you know who to tag yourself as? it seemed like an inhibitor to recovery if you were constantly cutting yourselves off from each other. (this is not me saying anything one way or the other about plurals and recovery in DID or whatever the fuck else, im just using this as an example. stfu i dont care about your opinions on any of this so dont waste your breath)

i think my feelings on aspd flags is somewhat similar. coz i mean, they are pride flags, right? and i think if you are taking pride in being aspd then you are far more likely to lean into your symptoms, and i think thats a slippery slope to go down and has just a very 'anti-recovery' vibe, if you know what i mean.

with that all said, i also very much think that if you dont want to recover, you dont have to. i dont think you can force anyone to recover and i dont think you should even try to. recovery is fucking shit and its hard and if you arent ready for it, you are just going to hurt whoever you are trying to make recover.

but i also think that you can have that opinion, whilst also being a voice for recovery, and be against 'anti-recovery' thinking.

because look, like it or not aspd is a fucking disorder. and at some point that becomes unhelpful or it wouldnt be a disorder. symptoms of aspd are debilitating and pretending otherwise that helps nobody. especially with all the 'all pwASPD are evil' scum out there.

so yes, i think the pride flags are... unhelpful at best and harmful at worst. but what about the other stuff? the creatures alla tbh creature and the plushiedreadful rabbit? (i think both of those designs suck btw but thats not the point)

idk those feel like they are in a different category. theres not really a sense of pride in those, more a sense of comfort. again, community, but also a sort of softness(??) that the pride flag things seem to miss - especially when they are like 'vampire aspd' or 'evil aspd' or any of the other bullshit things ive seen out there. i guess they are also just way more 'mental illness' coded than pride flags are.

pride flags have always been a 'we're here and theres nothing wrong with us' kind of thing. but the creatures and the bears are more lighthearted and sort of making fun of the conditions a little bit. highlighting symptoms and coping mechanisms. just look at the imocreature - specifically the worm one which is my favourite - and the way its able to be so pathetic looking and cute. its not meant to be cool or badass or whatever else, its just a lil guy that gets sad without supply.

Tagging @syscurse with this cause they seem to have more awareness of the final fusion "discourse" and I dont have a thesis statement or any real argument here beyond just casual discussion nor do I know if Im "strawmanning" cause I havent actually seen much of it since M&M's final fusion backlash (+ Im not trying to argue, just share thoughts)

But the common line of "Final Fusion isnt even worth it / isnt even good because you can always resplit" and what not is honestly fucked up and problematic to say in regards to a healing method but on a personal level didnt so much have anything to compare it to in order to highlight it

But as someone who has been working with OCD longer than DID and final fusion, its kind of like saying "Trying to resist / be free from doing your compulsions isn't even worth it because you can always get new compulsions or relapse, even if you free yourself from all the ones you have now, its not like itll stay that way"

Cause - and Im not sure how many chronic long term OCD folks are out there - but for cases like mine where its "high functioning" (ie constant but due to how its done it doesnt impact my day to day as much as it should) and long long long deeply rooted and untreated, a valid settling place for healing is to just integrate and adjust the compulsions to be less intrusive and focus on navigating obsessions and intrusive thoughts better

For some it might just not be worth the time and effort to actually fully stop all the compulsions entirely because - in our case - there are too many, its too deeply rooted in trauma and other disorders, and so reinforced that to do so would be a SHIT ton of work whereas usually we actually are pretty functioning

So if we were to put the community aspect the DID community has onto the OCD "community" then one could say there is "full remission" and "functional OCD" as recovery goals.

And as someone whose happily settled in functional OCD and currently really isnt seeking out full remission (as that would probably be after final fusion) its completely valid to say "Im happy with this level".

Much like DID and splitting though, the OCD brain even after healing is still a brain physically wired in an OCD way and inevitably you are always going to be prone to developing obsessions and compulsions. Does that mean working on freeing yourself from the ones you currently have is pointless? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Even if you have two weeks, two months, two years, twenty years, forty years and then "relapse" or whatever it is and end up gaining new obsessions / compulsions or splitting a new alter, obtaining that period of ideal and desired healing is an amazing thing.

Healing has ups and downs and works like a tide for almost every disorder and every version of healing. Its not a special thing about DID or final fusion, heck the claim could be made with functional multiplicity and dissociative symptoms and barriers coming back

Idk man, Im mostly rambling thoughts but TLDR healing is a rollercoaster, sometimes its a Disneyland ride sometimes its Six Flags, but there are ups and downs regardless of the disorder and version of healing for an individual and I really think its a bit of a negative nancy and a thought coming from a place of not understanding later stages of healing from people not quite there yet

The wild part to me about the "Persephone got approved Underworld citizenship" is it took what, a week at most? Even if you want to use IRL Royal examples, someone like Megan Markle would (if she had kept up the process) still need two YEARS to get approved of it at minimum which includes a lot of paperwork and staying in the country for prolonged time, but Persephone gets it in a few days with no process? Is there really nothing Persephone doesn't get handed to her on a silver platter?

2. "How to be a woke misogynistic :Add white before woman" I think this anon was tryna call antis misogynistic?? Which like. Some of the "criticism" ive seen is just people using lo as an excuse to be misogynistic against rs but most of it is genuine idk what they're going on abt 😭

I mean I get why LO Hera doesnt murder babies and all but it is an issue RS rides off "I'm not trying to be accurate!" when she makes Hades the "perfect" guy and Hera and Persephone the most desirable/amazing with zero flaws but then turns around and goes "oh well I'm being accurate!" to make Zeus be super mega awful and just make up stuff to pin on Apollo, Leto, and Thetis like?? you can't have it both ways?? Like she obvs picks and chooses who gets to be whitewashed and who doesnt.

7. Go figure LO fans to make Netflix all but closing down their entire animation department and laying off hundreds of people to STILL make it all about LO. I have countless friends who lost their jobs all en-masse with no warning and a neutered severance plan (NF purposely made it be four WEEKS instead of four MONTHS), the majority of them and their productions by BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ creators and they're only worried over well-off and employed Rachel? Fuck off. I'm so upset over this.

8. Completely and utterly disappointed at LO being nominated for an Eisner again. I think Webtoon has the power to just nominate it every year and ignore all of their other series.

Listen we all know every award is just marketing and we know damn well Webtoons just pumps the with money to nominate LO but we know damn well they're giving way more money to pump up their brand now because the Batman comic is so lazily made yet was ALSO nominated for best webcomic and they're like "one of our BIGGEST HITS big ethel energy is being printed!" despite it being one of their most hated series that is lampooned for bad art and writing. anyway they need to be taxed more.

Okay so I just checked my script and I thought I wrote it down but appareantly i didnt or at least I cant find it anymore so bear with me with inaccuracies pls.

Alright so basically back to 1918, russian revolution. In my dr alexei, the son of czar nikolai and his sister maria, daughter of czar nikolai and my grand mother survive and take back the throne in 1920. I havent really worked that out yet but it was peaceful and yk not a big massacre. Sadly, bcs he did have the bleeder sickness (hemophilia), alexei died soon after, without any children, leaving my grandmother maria on the throne. She then married and had 4 children, my dad being the oldest. She died sometime in the 1990s, leaving my father on the throne. My mother came from a rich french family btw and married my dad in 2006. I was born in 2007, on the 18th of april. Im an only child too btw just bcs why not.

So the russian revolution was successful for two years but then in the end idk the people wanted back the monarchy i guess idk? but its not an absolute monarchy anymore, its more like a semi-constitutional monarchy, so basically the monarch doesnt have absoulte power but also is not more or less just a symbol like in the british monarchy.

Also basically the russian empire still exists, so some countries dont exist bcs theyre part of the empire or are smaller, like e.g. georgia, armenia, azerbaijan, ukraine, finland, latvia, lithuania, estonia, parts of poland, belarus, moldova (yes, i just copied a list from google) in europe and kazakhstan, kyrgyzstan, uzbekistan, turkmenistan, tajikistan and alaska (also from google).

Dont come for me for the territories and shit, it was the original russian empire and im just keeping that. Im also keeping the original flag of the russian empire btw.

Also I changed that the russian economy is really good (like 2nd in the world or so) bcs russia didnt go through decades of communism and dictatorship and in general that people lead good lives basically

As for the 2nd world war, I dont know yet what happens but it could very well relate to how it happened in this reality, the non-agression pact between germany and russia and that russia kept to themselves until germany invaded them.

The ukrainian war obviously doesnt happen due to ukraine being a part of the russian empire.

Ok so here is just a quick overview of the two "stories" and what characters are involved in These. Especially the Main group one might get more characters as time goes on (you know... when i make more dnd characters that i dont get to play so i add them to my adventure group). While both "stories" play in the same World, they rarely overlap. However at some point the characters might meet each other, we'll see. Since These are esentially DnD characters, the World is based on DnD (5e btw). You will Most likely see that in the mention of races and classes. Hoewever magic and other similar abilites i sometimes wrote a bit different or i gave a character abilities that they normally wouldnt have in the game. But thats because i feel like it would make sense or i want them to have it. After all its only BASED on dnd.

The names of These "stories" might still be workshopped. Idk.

I will just give a veeery short description of the characters. A proper one including some backstory stuff will be in separate posts

The Main group ("A Band of misfits")

Rúnya Calanoré (A light Domain cleric aasimar with "Angel of light" vibes. The only responsible person in the group, trying to keep These chaotic idiots in check. I guess something like the "Camp mom")

Cylieria Esper (High elf rogue. More a con-woman than a thief. Way to overly confident in her ability to talk herself Out of Situations. The youngest one of the group in relativity. Not years because... elves)

Elari Ariessus (High elf monk. On a journey to self acceptance. Go-lucky sunshine character who tries to See the best in every situation)

Mal Trickarii (A human bard. He mainly uses Illusion magic. He chose so because of his passion to play pranks and Tricks on everybody. Hence the last Name. He gave himself that)

Kallista (nope no last name here. Tiefling rogue. Your very basic edgy loner rogue. Would prefer to work alone but somehow got roped into this and is 100% done with everybodys high energy bullshit)

Philana Ventura (High Elf fighter with a bit of a contrast in behavious. Normally she is very shy, timid and obiedient. But when a fight Starts she gets a huge boost of confidence)

These are the main 6 for now. Since they will go on high fantasy adventures you can expect the "normal" content warning for stuff like this to apply to some of their stories (i will ofc tag what is necessary) like description of violence and injury, some fluff, some smut maybe, Angst. All that good stuff. Tho i will try to keep it moderate.

"To change your fortune"

This is the other "story" that mainly focuses on one of my characters (an NPC from a campaign) and that would be

Abires Blackwood

Tho because of him being a changeling He does have other Personas that might have a POV written occasionally. But Most of These will be either from his true self or his Blackwood persona

He is a changeling warlock in the pursuit of Power, who doesnt care if others get hurt along the way and manipulates the people around him to get what He wants. In puplic He is incredibly charming. Tho something sinister rests under the surface. Press the wrong Buttons and you will See, that He has some psychopathic tendencies. I feel the need to point Out that He IS NOT a good person or a hero. He isnt even morally grey. He is a WALKING RED FLAG and I believe that some bad guys are allowed to be just bad without being misunderstood and just do bad things.

So please BE CAUTIOUS when reading any of his stories. I will of course tag especially the extreme things but i might miss some of the more subtle things (i try Not to) such as emotional Manipulation, gaslighting or similar. If even These things are an issue for you, then please stay clear of his stories.

Some stories might however even contain some more serious triggers such as murder, description of the act and result of torture, mental and physical abuse and the like.

Some of his stories will have the "Dead Dove. Do Not eat" tag.

Please be mindful of that because if its in the Tags its in there. If you dont like These things please dont read. Thats why i will tag These things, obviously. And again. Dont be mad that i would even write stuff like this.

I dont condone any of These bad thing i write him doing!

However as a person with a black heart, no Moral compass and psychopathic tendencies it makes sense in the context to write him doing this.

- generally we use alters and parts interchangeably, though usually small fragments will be referred to as parts. some alters have more of a preference. also sometimes use “system members” as a catchall

- there are some terms weve made up for our system and how it functions, and some terms we use a slightly different definition of. may make a list of these in the future

- if a post with an alters name or symbol its more so we can keep track of who did what

- we do have a simply plural but most of the information on it is private. if youre interested you can ask for our id but you wont be marked as a trusted friend unless we actually get that close

i kind of wonder if the reason why so many random tags are being caught in the filter is because of porn bots or something. like i cant imagine a real person would go through all of these things and be like yeah i think the about tag is a little TOO raunchy for our good christian website. so im trying to think of the ways that they could have fucked this up and the only thing i can think of is that they may have taken the most common words used in tags of posts that were flagged explicit/reported? and porn bots will cross post with normal ass tags a lot of the time. also would explain why they would have stuff like meanspo and guro on there cuz i think those posts get reported a lot too. doesnt make sense entirely for all of it but idk maybe thats what happened to hashtag girl
