oh my fucking god, you guys. you guys. they are DISGUSTING. like, i thought i was prepared but i was NOT PREPARED.

mack skates out right behind will and they immediately join the opposite shooting lines so that they can do nothing but pass back and forth to each other as they cycle. like, they do NOT EVEN CARE about shooting the puck, all they want to do is pass to each other forever. they are literally holding up traffic in the shooting lines so they can get off one more pass before they wheel around to opposite sides of the ice, and as they circle back around they are watching each other THE ENTIRE TIME and they are BEAMING at each other, like seriously the expression on mack celly’s face is the same face you see on your friends at their WEDDINGS. will is a bit more understated but every so often mack would get off a really nice shot and will would grin like an IDIOT. like so

after basically watching each other across the ice all through warmups and looking for every possible way to pass to each other, they finish up with some special mackwill time popping pucks into the net from the crease.

and i should note that there is nobody else involved in mack and will’s special special warmups time. they’re not stickhandling around the vets, they’re not getting playfully checked into the boards by anybody. they only got two eyes (each) and those eyes are only for each other.

people always talk about edwin being an older ghost, and he technically is, but he doesn’t have any more experience being a ghost than charles. he was in hell from the moment he died to the night he met charles. he died at 16 and then did not get a chance to go through any growth or learn anything in hell other than torture—he lost those 70+ years. functionally, neither of their afterlives start until they meet, and they have to (get to) learn how to be ghosts and how to exist in this form on earth together every step of the way. anyway, what are you procrastinating right now? i’m procrastinating an essay that was due 4 days ago AND an essay that’s due tomorrow 🤠

I'll post my thoughts on the episode later, but I just want to encourage Osblaine fans to stay far, far, far away from Elisabeth Moss interviews. They've been trash for 3 out of the past 4 seasons now, with season 4 being the only aberration. She is always over the top, dramatic, and displays poor media literacy. She does not even remember key plot points to the show she's on and producing. Please don't let yourself get upset by the nonsense she spews, she is as dramatic as possible to get you to watch the show and engage with it online. She doesn't respect her audience like Max Minghella does, who gives thoughtful, intelligent, and respectful interviews about the show, Nick, and the romance. Just don't interact with Lizzie's stuff; don't listen, don't engage, don't let her upset you. Her cheap marketing tactics shouldn't impact how you consume the show or your enjoyment of Nick and Osblaine.

Also, she is literally not going to spoil what happens in the end. She isn't even going to hint at it even slightly in the interviews relating to this episode. Don't let her freak you out about that. Osblaine will survive in the end. She isn't going to spoil that lol, it's the element of the show that the bulk of the audience cares the most about knowing how it ends. They're gonna drag this out and through the fire, but it will survive. Otherwise they'll lose a lot of the potential audience for The Testaments.
