Summary: The reader is Damian's plus one at Dominick's wedding.

You and Rhea are taking the afternoon to buy dresses and get your hair and nails done for Dominick's wedding later in the day.

"What about this one?" Rhea pulls a ruby red dress off of the rack and presents it to you.

You look up from the rack you're looking at and examine the dress. "Not really my style." You shrug. "But I bet it'd look killer on you, Rhea. You should try it on." You suggest.

Rhea nods in agreement and hangs the dress over her shoulder while she browses for a few more options to try on. You go back to browsing the rack you're in front of and come across a pretty black dress.

"How about this one, Rhea?" You pick the dress up and present it to Rhea. "I like the neckline."

Rhea turns around and almost instantly nods her head. "YN, yes." She beams. "That will look so good on you."

You giggle and hang the dress over your shoulder so you can browse some more.

You and Rhea both collect four or five dresses to try on and head for the dressing rooms. The two of you have been friends for years so you opt for one of the bigger rooms and share.

"Zip me up, yeah?" Rhea asks you after she's pulled on a black dress.

"Sure, turn around." You nod.

Rhea turns her back to you and you pull the zipper up her back. She turns back around and you compliment her. "How is it you manage to look good in literally everything?" You jokingly complain.

"It's a gift, really." Rhea giggles. "Here, try this one on." She picks up the black dress you picked out and hands it to you.

You begin pulling on your dress and Rhea slips out of hers to try another one on. You get settled into your black dress and admire yourself in the mirror. "I really like this one." You admire your reflection. "What do you think, Rhea?" You turn back to her.

Rhea turns around while she's shimmying into the red dress she picked out and her eyes widen. "Damn, YN." She compliments you. "You might look too good in that dress." She teases you. "How badly are you trying to impress Damian tonight?"

You giggle with Rhea and grab your phone from your bag sitting on the bench. "Do you mind if I snap a quick pic?" You ask Rhea. "I wanna see what Damian thinks of this one."

"Sure." Rhea nods since she's got her dress on by now and is admiring herself in the mirror. "Let's take a few together after you're done." She adds.

"Yes!" You agree and snap a quick mirror picture of yourself.

You send the picture to Damian then take a few with Rhea for fun. You decide on the black dress, and Rhea choses the red. The two of you get your hair and nails done then head back to the hotel to wait for your dates to come pick you up.

"Yeah, we're good, Damian." You call out to him and reach for your clutch sitting on the table.

Damian comes into the door and you watch his gaze flit over Rhea and come to a halt when it reaches you.

"Well?" You ask Damian with a giggle and do a little sin for him. "How do I look?" You ask him.

Damian chuckles and the sound sends a shiver down your spine. You could easily become addicted to the way he looks at you.

"You look absolutely stunning, princessa." Damian shakes his head and walks over to you and wastes no time in pulling you into his side by the hips.

"Told you that he wouldn't be able to keep hiss hands to himself." Rhea laughs.

"You won't ever hear me complain." You grin and lay your hands on Damian's chest. You smooth out his tie for him before tugging him down by the neck for a kiss. "You look handsome too, baby."

You and Damian share a quick heated kiss while Rhea collects her bag. She walks over to the two of you and loops her arm with yours. "Let's get going, yeah. Wouldn't want to let Dom down on his big night by being late."

Damian nods and strides over to the door. He swings the door open and steps off to the side. "Right this way, ladies." He grin at you both. "I'll go on ahead and pull the car around for us."

"Thanks, babe." You touch Damian's arm gently as you and Rhea pass him.

Everyone arrives at the wedding venue about half and hour later and heads inside. You and Rhea find your seats at a table near the bride and grooms place. Fancy cream name-cards mark your spots for you.

The ceremony is beautiful and you shed a tear or two for your friend and his girlfriend, now wife.

The real fun begins after the ceremony. Everyone files into a immaculately decorated space with plenty of room for dancing and a wide array of foods off to the side of the room.

"You hungry at all, hun?" Damian asks you after you've found your table with Rhea and a few other friends from work.

"I'm aright for now, Damian. Thanks." You shake your head. "Dom and his girl look so happy." You gush. "Gosh, I can't wait until I finally get to plan my wedding."

Your comment earns a giggle from Rhea and a wide-eyed look from Damian. The two of you have been ating for about a year now.

"No pressure, Damian." You laugh when you see the guilty look on his face. "I'm content just the way we are."

Damian sighs in relief and plays it off like he wasn't freaked out. Everyone mingles at the table for a while until the dancefloor begins to fill up. You watch people dance for a while with a longing look in your eyes. You know Damian isn't much for dancing. So you try not to get your hopes up.

"YN, Amore, dance with me?" Damian gets up from his seat next to Austin after a while and offers you his hand.

"Oh, you don't have to, Damian." You shake your head at him, but Priest persists.

Damian keeps his hand outstretched to you and flashes you a deabonaire smile. "Come on." He urges you. "I know you want to get out there. And I'm not opposed to once dance." He insists.

"Really?" You take Damian's hand and he leads you out onto the dancefloor. "Thank you, Damian." You smile at him as a slow song starts to play.

Damian pulls you close to his chest and the two of you sway to the soft music. "I know I said it before, but you really do look stunning tonight." He compliments you. "I know I don't say it often. But I love you, YN."

"I love you too, Damian." You blush and lean in a little closer.

It  had started as a normal day. Well sort of. It wasn't often the RSA students were allowed on NRC turf without being murdered. Azul Ashengrotto, ever the business man, was hosting an RSA/NRC karaoke night at the lounge.

You wouldn't have even gone…but you heard he would be there.

Esme Devance. The prettiest man you had ever seen. If he asked you to jump off a bridge, you'd do it, just to get a glimpse of that mischievous smile.

And the way your first year friends insisted he was terrible and you shouldn't even look at him, you knew he might be a little interested in you as well.

You sipped a glittering purple drink, and saw his distinct head of hair, held back by a purple bandana, move through the crowd. You walked over to him.

"Well, I'll be. Didn't think you show your face here, Esme Devance."

He turned around with a grin. "I brought a bodyguard. But they'll double as a decoy when I ask you to sing with me. Y/N, meet our hero. Friend One." 

As friend one turned to greet you, you dropped the glass in your hand, shattered glass, and purple liquid spreading quickly around your feet.

"Y/N! You're here too?" They gasped, moving to hug you tightly.

"How can this be happening? Are you even real?"

"So all three of us are here?"

"Three?!?!"

Friend one pulled out his phone, which you quickly noticed was far nicer than yours, and flashed a pic of them with Friend Two in front of Noble Bell.

"What!" You shouted.

"I tried to convince their headmaster to transfer them to RSA so that the two, now three, of us non magic people could be comfortable, byt it was a no go."

You remembered Esme was here, and looked up at him, his head tilted to the side.

"Now that I think about it, how did no one put the fact that you both showed up from another dimension, on the same day, together?"

It…it did seem kind of stupid. But considering your headmage was incompetent, and didn't even know about Friend One, you could wave that one away.

"Well, we have space in Ramshackle, if you want to transfer here."

Both friend one and Esme grimaced.

"Look, Y/N. It's not about you or anything. It's just, I have kind of a bias towards RSA, and would rather you transfer there."

"I would like that too," Esme grinned, and friend one noticed the crush for the first time.

"Well I'd have to bring my cat," you pouted, leaving out the riot that would start if you tried to leave.

"Cat?"

The timing couldn't have been more perfect said cat and your friends to start yelling your name and shoving students out of their way.

"Y/N!"

"Hench human, we need you! Desperately!" Grim said with a growl as he crawled his way up your front, hissing at Esme for good measure.

"I'm going through something right now. What could you possibly need?" You groaned, scratching Grim's ears out of habit.

"Um…" he and the other first years, save for Jack who seemed wildly embarrassed, shared scared glances.

"We didn't get that far…" Epel muttered, earning an elbow in the side from Ace.

"Uh huh. Well friends, this is friend one. From my world."

Their eyes all widened. Deuce grabbed your arm.

"Does that mean you can go home? Please don't go, prefect!"

"Human! I will chain you down if I have to!"

"No fucking way can you leave in the middle of the year!"

You made eye contact with friend one, mouthing 'help'. Meanwhile, friend one took a step behind Esme. Maybe transferring to RSA wouldn't be that bad….

"No! Friend One has been here as long as I have! So we have to ask Crowley if he knows what that could mean!"

"We should get Friend Two over here. This concerns them as well." 

"Yeah cause it's so easy to just pop on over for a visit," you rolled your eyes.

Esme and friend one shared a side eye.

"Don't worry about it," they said, calling friend two 

….

"Heh heh, well, you see, it's meant to be an exchange program of sorts."

"Sorry?"

"Right now, three mages are attending college at a non magical university."

The three of you stared, jaws on the floor. Finally, friend one asked what was on all your minds.

"Isn't this illegal? Like aren't we supposed to fill out paperwork, and give consent for an exchange program?"

"Did the mages give consent? Are they even still alive? Our world has a tendency to cut things open that it doesn't understand," friend two's voice was laced with concern.

"They were alive and well last we checked."

'Wait! You can check! So we're not fucking stuck here!"

'Sevens!" All three of you shouted.

"Aw look how well they've adapted to the culture!" Crowley said with a sob.

"This whole project is about peace!" Ambrose, headmage of RSA, said, as though it explained everything.

"Why did you lie then?" You said loudly, your other two friends nodding vigorously.

"You certainly would have tried to return home!" Crowley said, Ambrose nodding sagely.

"Duh, we're not stupid," friend two pouted. 

"But think of all the friends you've made along the way!"

"The number of things you've guilted me into, when it was your fault all along, are staggering," you growled, causing the very brave Crowley to flinch in his seat.

"We want to go home. I'm pretty sure you dropped me into some kind of weird religious cult," Friend Two said, the tears rising to their eyes.

"Okay, let's all calm down," Friend One said. "We  don't actually want to go home, we just want to transfer Y/N and friend two to RSA."

"Okay, honestly? I don't know how I feel about going to live with a bunch of rich pricks. I really want you two to transfer to NRC."

"I want to go home!"

"And I am not transferring to a place where my own classmates hypnotize me and lock me in their rooms for nefarious reasons!"

"Where did you even hear that?"

"Your red headed friend told me!"

"Home, home, home!"

Ambrose and Crowley, meanwhile, were allowing the three of you to fight, as they slowly snuck out of the room, heaving a sigh of relief, as they leaned against the closed door.

i’ve been on this new account for a bit so here’s my motivation for reaching my gw:

•skinny thighs that look good in any sort of skirt or pants and that don’t rub together and chafe in the summertime

•feeling cleaner

•having people notice the change

•have people treat me nicer

•more attention from friends and family

•instead of my relatives commenting on how much i’m eating, they will comment on how skinny i’m looking

•i won’t ever be afraid to meet someone new in fear that their fist impression of me is that i’m fat. Instead, they’ll think “wow this girl is super pretty AND funny?”

•being the tiny friend for once in my life

•being able to finally fit the aesthetic that I want

•being able to finally take cute instagram pics

•less scared to post on social media

•i perform in musical theater, so i won’t have to worry about costumes looking bad on me

•no matter what angle someone takes a pic of me, it’ll look good

•applying my makeup will be easier because i won’t feel like i’m putting lipstick on a pig

•i will be more confident and therefore more sociable and happy (i know this from previous weight loss experience)

• dress shopping for formal events will actually be fun and not humiliating

•if the subject of weight ever comes up, i don’t have to be afraid of saying my weight out loud because i’ll be proud of it

•revenge on all the girls that called me fat

•less area to shave, apply lotion on, apply sunscreen on, and less area to wash.

•i overall won’t feel like a giant and like i’m taking up so much space whether it’s on chairs, couches, in a cramped room, etc. (i’m really tall and being tall and fat is like the worst combo because i just feel like an ogre)

• opening tumblr and not feeling guilty but instead feeling accomplished

•old teachers/ students from school looking at me and going “omg i didn’t even recognize you!” (i have had this happen before and it’s the best feeling in the world)

•sitting on my bf’s lap without feeling like i’m crushing him (as much as he claims he likes it i don’t like feeling fat)

•i’m getting older and when i get married i want my husband to be able to bridal carry me

•^^ also wedding dress NEEDS to look good on me or the wedding is cancelled

•i honestly grew up fat (before i lost a ton of weight and then gained it all back 🙄) and i really don’t want to spend the rest of my life chubby or midsized or fat. I just wanna enjoy the slim life.

•i’m very very focused on my looks and I really like when I look good.

•I want a slim face with the sunken-in look and hood cheekbones

•basically any clothes would be oversized

•most of my social anxiety would go away because I wouldn’t be focused on people thinking i’m fat

• i could share clothes with my sister (she’s super tall and skinny and has adorable clothes)

•impress my boyfriend’s family and HIS relatives (best feeling)

• i know this might sound odd but when i lost weight the first time my feet?? got smaller??? and so did my nose???? and my boobs??? all things that i would love to shrink.

•no more flabby arms that I have to hide under a cardigan or sweatshirt

•I was really athletic when i lost a bunch of weight the first time???? and i never worked out for it or did it in a healthy way so idk why i was all of a sudden super athletic but I was

•i always dreamed of being an ice skater and they’re so weightless and thin and beautiful

•halloween costumes could be so much better on my thin body instead of finding one that covers up the most fat

•prom dress looks good (i’m graduated by my bf is a senior this year and he’s taking me to prom)

• i was just more likable when i was skinny. Idk how to describe it

•believe it or not, people talk about you more when you lose weight. I was a total nobody in high school until i lost weight and then people who i didn’t even know we’re like talking about me in good ways and saying good things about me

•more friends. I know that friendship is mostly about the personality, but there are so many bitchy skinny girls with like 100 friends that all go out and do stuff together and even if they’re fake friends they’re better than no friends 🥲

• christmas and winter season in general

•imagine wearing an oversized outfit in the summer time and then whipping out the absolute perfect bikini body? goals.

Imagine one day Miguel initiated a conversation you'd least expect - he asks you about your "dream wedding". let's just say he once caught you peacefully curled up on the couch, remote still in hand with the TV auto-playing wedding planning videos it's taken over your algorithm, it is full of it

"Really???" you beamed then immediately retrieved your tablet, showed him your Pinterest Board, and had an absolute field day just explaining why certain details would work best

Miguel finds it adorable how your "Dream Wedding" Pinterest board is organized. He's amazed how everything is categorized with pics from attire such as rich-toned suits to dainty bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses as well as different possible motifs, venues, venue styling, and table settings

You find it so sweet of Miguel to involve himself in the conversation, "Hmmm...instead of this suit, I'll wear the red maroon one. I don't think green sage is my color."

this came to you as a surprise cuz you knew he'd rather have a civil wedding. weddings are very costly and it's the vows that matter anyway, right? but he's actually giving suggestions???

Miguel notices the furrowed brow, he runs his thumb over it cuz it isn't a good look to your sunny self "What? I said green isn't my color...and sí, cariño...let's have a real wedding."

He then slides the engagement ring box on the table. it's a simple band encrusted with diamonds. he thought the simple design would go well with any of your rings cuz he knows you like to layer it

There's a high muffled "AAAAAAAHHHH" as you cover your mouth. You bounce on your tiptoes cuz you can't contain your excitement, Miguel carries you, carefully swinging you around in the living room, and gives you a kiss on your temples and lips

You'd both attend lots of Bridal Expos for weeks to come; trying to find more inspiration for your wedding and finalize your suppliers. Miguel holding your hand and pointing at the booths for the both of you to try. Imagine feeding each other free samples of cake and drinking wine (as if it were the ceremony already) garnering some "Awwws" from those managing the booths. You'd return back to your place with LOTS of pamphlets and business cards

The prenup photos isn't your typical shoot with a theme set in the day. No. As bubbly as you are, you knew a day photoshoot didn't fit either of you. You both enjoyed the evening as there are no expectations from either of you, everything is more quiet, reserved for each others' company. The photoset features the city night lights and how you both welcome each other in the hazy glow, beautiful smiles captured in stills similar to a Wong-kar Wai film.

You change the name of the Pinterest Board to “Save the Date” and continue your discussion about the board. Editing it during your free time after kicking anomaly butt and saving the Spiderverse

This is the motif you and Miggy come up with. A mix of rich tones and soft hues. The warmth of burgundy and amber blended with the coolness of tan and sage.

Hey there! So you know the official art of Ralsei titled "Floralsei" where he's surrounded by flowers? I've been interested in the possible symbolisms behind these flowers and wanted to share a bit of my analysis with you haha. (I know there's a chance that merch isn't canon, but we also get "Weird Route" foreshadowing through the Line Stickers, so who knows? ¯_(ツ)_/¯)

In the picture, I think we can identify several flowers such as 1. "Red Roses", 2. "Lily of the Valley", 3. "African Violet" , 4. "Hibiscus",5. "Snapdragons" and 6. "Forget-Me-Nots". (link to pic: https://imgur.com/a/NXAs1jv) I'll try to list the symbolism of each one here…

"Red Roses": These flowers are placed prominently in the center, forming Ralsei's scarf and adorning his hat. While they appear as dark pink in the artwork, I interpret them as representing red, especially considering Ralsei's default scarf is called the Red Scarf. Red roses are traditionally associated with romantic love, which aligns with Ralsei's one-sided affection towards Kris.

"Lily of the Valley": This flower symbolizes purity, happiness, and sweetness. It carries diverse symbolism and is often used in various settings, such as weddings and religious ceremonies, to convey messages of hope, purity, and the joy of new beginnings.

"African Violet": (I'm not entirely certain about this, but the shape seems to resemble the flower in the pic…) This flower signifies loyalty, devotion, and faithfulness. In addition to representing faithfulness and fidelity, African Violets can also convey admiration and respect, especially when given as a token of high esteem.

"Hibiscus": Often associated with beauty, femininity, and delicate charm, the hibiscus is known for its stunning appearance and vibrant colors. It symbolizes delicate beauty, youthfulness, and a sense of joy.

Moving on to your analysis of the different types of flowers... there's not too much I can really add here I feel - flowers and their meanings are sadly not my forte. However, a lot of the meanings you transcribed here do definitely relate to Ralsei and his character. Of particular note is the Snapdragon and its allusion to "deception" - as you rightly state, our favourite fluffy boy is definitely withholding crucial information from everyone, both about the plot at large and his own character.

You know what else caught my eye, actually? I'm just checked because I wasn't sure if I was misremembering, but Lily of the Valley is actually poisonous, and can cause skin irritation if touched directly, and its berries can cause serious harm or even death if ingested. It's a stretch, but applying this to Floralsei (what a name, by the way!) you could perhaps posit that whatever secret he's keeping, it's so dangerous it might cause irreparable damage if it were to ever come out. Or perhaps it's a warning - he may be pretty, but get too close and you'll get hurt.

With that said, however, I don't actually think Ralsei is secretly malicious or anything like that. My current theory is that he's not telling us stuff for two reasons - one is that he's directly serving the narrative by revealing pieces of vital information at critical moments in the story, as evidenced by the dramatic reveal of the Roaring and the Titans JUST before Berdly creates a new dark fountain in the cyber world; and the other is that he is trying to protect his friends from information that they might find distressing, and/or won't be relevant to them unless the worst case scenario happens (which it's obviously gonna... but I digress).

I'm sorry I couldn't really add any more to this discussion, because it is quite fascinating! I'd be quite interested to see what others think, if any further insight can be provided on this topic!

Take Me Back to Paris!

Oh gosh, I wasn't gonna do this so soon but I've given two family members a separate rundown of the entire event and it has fired me up to write about Paris after all.

TLDR: I had a great time, met great people, and I love all the photos. The event was not well organised, but the joy it brought outweighs that aspect, and I already wish I could turn back the clock and live it all over again 💛

Firstly, those three hours of queuing on Friday night will now always be written into my bones. I'm gonna be a little old man with no memories left someday and my grandchildren will keep wondering why I'm talking about some scandalous three hour queue! In seriousness, I'm so glad we stuck it out in the queue because it made Saturday morning so much easier.

The opening ceremony was a journey...Lots of hype, lots of screaming. This was also where I realised I was excited to see everyone's outfits, and they all looked amazing quite frankly.

On Saturday I started with the autograph and selfie with Ronen, which was a delight. I got to tell him about Tarlos being the first time I've seen such a beautiful, healthy relationship between two men my age on TV before. He asked me if there's nothing like it even on Scottish TV, and I told him there isn't. He also said they don't seem to meet many fans from Scotland, so I liked having that brief chat. I asked him to sign a picture from the Tarlos wedding, which I was also gonna ask Rafa to sign, and he wrote "Hi, Jamie." Lol. I asked him if it was okay to hug him and he said yes, and that was a lovely moment.

Then I queued for Rafa's autograph and selfie. In this queue I met the delightful @dreamingofmickeywaffles, which is the first time I've ever met a stranger and shared my tumblr name, only for them to respond that they'd read one of my stories recently and liked it. That was a lovely moment, and I really enjoyed our chat. Talk to me about Chicago Fire any time!

Rafa is such a sweet guy, honestly. I told him the same thing I told Ronen really, and it was lovely to be able to thank them both for Tarlos in those moments. I also gave Rafa the card I'd written him. I love how both the selfies came out, and now I have the wedding picture with both of their signatures, which brings me So. Much. Joy. I also asked Rafa if I could hug him, and that was lovely too.

Next was the panel with both Ronen and Rafa, which I thought felt low key and fun. There are clips out there now where Ronen says the thing about how Carlos is TK's honeymoon, and dear lord does he know how to get us right in the heart. This was also a place where I was like, oh wow, Rafa puts so much consideration into his answers, and is clearly a very philosophical person in his thinking. I can't remember if it was this panel, but there was one where Rafa was giving a very considered answer to someone's question, was getting quite deep with it, and Ronen spotted someone taking their phone out for a photo and, mid Rafa's profound response, simply stuck his tongue out for the camera. This sums up a lot of their energy over the weekend! Loved it.

The individual photos were so much fun. Aside from being suddenly struck by the realisation that hunger was becoming a serious problem, and being so warm in Ronen's queue I truly had a moment of thinking I might faint! By this time of the day Ronen had brought energy juice to the panel and said he was crashing hard, but I think we both look great in the picture haha. Aside from the selfies, which just naturally seem to come out better (the boys knew how to pick a good angle) I think this is my favourite picture of all the ones I got, actually.

Conventions are amazing but a weirdly big thing to put your body through! By the time I got my pic with Rafa they were asking people if anyone was willing to wait until the next day so that Rafa could actually leave for the day as he was already there later than intended, and Ronen, at least, had gone home already.

It was not a very well organised event, really. @carlos-in-glasses has talked about this in their own rundown of the event, and I really just echo it all. The chaos was worth it, but the chaos was also very stressful at times.

The actors clearly felt this too. In the meeting room on Sunday morning, I can't recall if it was Ronen or Rafa who asked if we were all having a good time. We were all very enthusiastically saying yes, and then he asked if we felt the event was well organised, and the room went totally silent. It's a shame that the disorganisation affected everyone (and I also saw it affecting the staff at the event as well so I don't blame them individually at all). I think having a few more stewards on the ground would have helped, as well as better signposting and an accurate schedule, or rather a more comprehensive way of updating the schedule for everyone to see. We were told the online schedule would change in accordance with any alteration throughout, but this did not seem to be the case. This did lead to a lot of uncertainty and worry over people missing the things they'd paid to do.

After the meeting room on Sunday was the 911 lone star panel, which was just a delight. I only went to two panels over the weekend but I loved them both. The cast talked about how well they get on outside of the show, and I think that really comes across when you see them all together. Rafa said his first impression of Ronen was that he was slightly off rhythm in the rehearsal for the honky tonk dancing scene. Ronen disputed this and said he "slayed" the final scene, and Rafa replied, "Oh sweetie, that was the 20th take."

Next up was another autograph and selfie with Rafa, and then with Ronen. I asked Rafa to write out part of an answer he'd given someone in a panel the day before, to someone looking for advice for people who struggle to love themselves and accept themselves as they are. His whole answer to this was beautiful, and on my picture he wrote, "Know that your heart is always your solution."

There was confusion about the queue for Ronen here. He was scheduled to be doing autographs but was actually in a meeting room, which the staff at the queue were not aware of but @actuallysara's input saved the day. I think we queued for roughly an hour? We were then given priority numbers to come back to his afternoon signing and go to the front of the queue. My favourite part about this is that when the afternoon session came and we were waiting for Ronen, the schedule was still running behind, and when Ronen arrived at last he said, "Don't worry, the eagle has landed."

I gave Ronen the card I wrote him, and asked him to write out one of his song lyrics for me, and he seemed hyped to be asked that, which was lovely. We talked a little about his music and what it has meant to me recently, and he said the line I requested ("Swimming back to shore so you are safe with me') was one of his favourites that he's written, and he sang it very quietly as he wrote it down. He said he thinks his all time favourite line of his is "You should be my memory." I told him I love that song too but so many of the lines are about people not loving each other anymore so it felt strange to request a line from that song. Ronen laughed and said, "Yeah, like, 'you broke my heart!' " He said the band are releasing an EP this year as he has lots of time to write now. I really enjoyed getting to talk to him about music.

Next up was the autograph and selfie with Sierra, and oh man, she's so lovely. I asked her if she was enjoying the convention and she said she was having the time of her life, and that she was so grateful to be there. She said, sarcastically, that she wasn't sure if this was coming across. I said it came across and her energy was just so great. I wanted to tell her she was radiant, but decided this was too much! She was, though. She was just delightful, and I love the selfie we got.

I ducked out for a drink with @carlos-in-glasses and @meditating-honey-badger and co. which was very much needed. We had such. a nice time just sitting and chatting.

My last things of the day were the photo op with Natacha (who looked stunning, dear lord) and Ronen, and then a photo op with Ronen, in which I asked if we could do a sunglasses on photo (he was definitely hungover and I love that for him) and so we did.

And yes, as has been mentioned before, seeing the actors around the hallways was so surreal at first and then just became oddly normal. @carlos-in-glasses and I, as we left on Sunday evening, talked about how strange it felt that we weren't just going to see them all milling around tomorrow as we'd gotten so used to. We saw a lot of them just waving to people, or just saying hi as they passed. Honorary mention to Ronen walking through the lobby with an unlit cigarette in his mouth.

Oh gosh this post is long. I truly had an amazing time in Paris. There are things that could have been better organised, but these imperfections pale in comparison to the joy this event brought me. The actors were lovely, I struck up conversation with very sweet strangers in multiple queues (oh the queues), and all the photos and merch I've come away with are perfect. And I met some amazing online friends and became in person friends!

I loved meeting @actuallysara, and thanking them for the guide to the convention, without which I would have definitely made some mishaps! It was so lovely to chat between events.

@noxsoulmate it was so good to meet you as well, and I love the selfie we took together! Your energy the whole weekend was just delightful, and your joy was absolutely contagious.

@meditating-honey-badger, I had such a great time getting to know you and your awesome companion. Thank you so much for reaching out to me on Discord all those weeks ago! I really do hope we get to see each other again sometime in the future.

@carlos-in-glasses where to start! I would have been lost without you on this journey, both literally and metaphorically. I feel like we just clicked as well in person as we had online, and I loved how effortless it was to talk in depth with you about life and writing. I will never forget the rooftop bar chats about Tarlos and fanfic, and I hope we get to do that again someday, if not in Paris then maybe somewhere in the UK. You are just so kind and lovely, and I feel so lucky to call you my friend 💛

I don't know if next year's convention will be viable for me, as I found myself in somewhat of a unique financial position to be able to afford it this year. Also, while it was a beautiful experience, it was also a lot. So that's a question for future me. For now, the magic of this event is gonna stay fully intact, and I am gonna be caught daydreaming about Paris intermittently for quite some time, I can tell. I mean, I got to hug Ronen and Rafa. Haha.

This trip was the best weekend I've had in ages, and I needed it. I already miss it, and I'm so grateful for everything about it. Part of me will always be in Paris--queuing, most likely, but entirely happy.

I doubt Sebastian will do anything "shocking" with Annabelle, because the reaction to their relationship wasn't extreme, and I'll die on the hill that the things he did with Alejandra, were just stubborn reactions to the worst amount of hate to date, not because she was a special one in his line up of gfs (considering how quickly he moved on, I feel validated in that opinion). Unless/until Annabelle is seen with a rock or bump, which might very well happen. He's in the typical "gotta settle down" age for men and she seems to be a more reasonable choice than Alejandra. The most telling thing he has done that could be a sign of him being very serious with her, is that he brought his mother to the wedding of Annabelle's brother, instead of just attending alone as Annabelle's plus one.

If I may add my personal two cents on this, I’ll break it down. About the first part, comparing it to Ale and how he felt about Ale, I think that does depend on a lot of how you viewed their relationship at the time. Quite a lot thought similar to what you just stated, but there was a good part of the fandom that was convinced he genuinely liked Alejandra a lot and some even thought they were going to get engaged and thought she was going to be it, but probably wouldn’t last.

I think that what happens when Sebastian gets a new girlfriend is that people tend to kind of forget how the one before some people also thought it was serious, too. Does this make sense? I hope it does. It’s like the second a new woman enters the picture, that memory wipe thing from men in black is clicked on.

But going on that train of thought about Ale/Annabelle, I think they might be equally as serious BUT what calls my attention to it being very different as well and making Annabelle sometimes feel more “concrete” , even if it’s just for the time being if it doesn’t work out, is her age/work ethic/social media use/goals etc.

I think she’s a more realistic idea of what he looks for for something longer term and some fans see that as well, and it’s what gives most people the impression that it feels more serious than Ale. That and the fact that they seem more “private” as well, but I stand firmly behind that the reason Ale was projected so much on the web was because she was trying to get PR from him AND she used Social Media a lot more than Annabelle does. I think that gave it a bit of a -serious vibe, but even then a lot of people (at the time) really were convinced him and Ale were serious, too. We shouldn’t forget that. I think that’s what shocked most; the rapid decline after the clothing hanger pic.

About a pregnancy, who knows. I always feel really weird speculating about this topic just because having children is such a sensitive topic to some. Even though he might say he wants to be a dad and she might say she wants to be mom (not sure if she has), that’s the limit of the info they’ve publicly shared unless they say something additional. Some women have trouble conceiving, and sometimes maybe they don’t even want to have kids together or it has not even come up in discussions yet. There’s so much behind it. I always feel weird unless there something evident like a obvious uterus bump (not bloating. These piss me off too. I’ve seen woman that from speculation over bloating would’ve have five kids by now lol) or a very very clear sign or statement. But I do understand speculating if it would happen I guess. We know he wants to be a father one day. Does he want to be one now? We don’t know. There’s so little we actually know about the topic. Does he want one with Annabelle? We don’t know. Fans can only guess based off things we’ve seen publicly shown which isn’t always reliable.

Fans can always speculate and guess based off things we already know but the only real confirmation is it if actually happens, which so far I don’t see it has. Obviously, none of us really know him or what he actually thinks. We can all just take personal guesses. I’m not sure if I see him wanting to have a child yet, but that’s just me, so it means squat lol.

i'd posted this on twitter but thought i'd also share on here (with expanded thoughts because of that dang tweet limit) but for whatever reason suited!wedding kacy has been living in my head rent free for at least twelve hours and needed to get it out there somewhere, so please enjoy this little curation of what i think kate and lucy would wear & do for their wedding (keep in mind, i'm also big on details - so be on the lookout as to how i'm tying both kate and lucy's looks together to complement one another!)

kate's outfit

without a shadow of a doubt, kate is wearing a white suit. the look is actually perfectly captured in the bottom left photo. it's still classy, elegant, but not traditional by any means. she'd wear a double breasted blazer, wide leg pants (as she already basically does on the show), she'd have a minimal floral arrangement, and classy, but not over the edge jewelry to tie it all together (again, as she already does in the show). i just think this elevates the look she's already pulling off, but in a way that's very different to what work whistler would wear.

1b. Shoes

shoes depend on the length of her pants and if she wants to be towering over lucy on their wedding day haha. but i imagine she'd wear open toed shoes - heels or flats (similar to what she wore when she won lucy back in tennant's backyard, and similar to the first 2 pics above)

1c. hair

maybe i'm still riding off the absolute elation 2x11 gave me, but i 100% am convinced that kate would wear her hair exactly how she did in 2x11. it's immaculate. it's giving. it's stunning. loose/relaxed waves tied back into a half-pony??!!!?? oh my GOD. i'll literally never shut up about this. also - circling back to jewelry, she absolutely would wear these hexagonal earrings. they are in their own unique way, a statement piece. holy. i'm not going to dive into the symbolism of a hexagon or the meaning of the number 6, but in your own time, check it out - you won't be disappointed

2. lucy's outfit

lucy is absolutely going to rock the all black power suit. i don't think she'd go the route of wearing a tie/bowtie, but i do think she'd do something along the lines of a mockneck-type shirt that has a nice silk or sheer material. pants would be a little more tapered - not as wide as kate's, and hemmed just above the ankle to give her some options on wedding day (i will expand on what i mean by 'options' in 2b.)

2b. shoes

lucy would wear some really really nice chelsea boots or loafers/mules (depending on if she wants height for their wedding photos but she also might not really care and i vibe with that. also, she's definitely the type to be indecisive about what shoes she wants to wear on wedding day, so she ends up buying both the chelseas and loafers because she already knows she may possibly lose a shoe and not have a backup shoe that matches the first pair so she'll have to settle for the second choice pair) for jewelry she'll probably keep it minimal as well - simple hoop earrings, perhaps a tennis bracelet (teehee), and her signature big a$$ watch.

2c. hair

i'd like to think lucy would do something along the lines of a slicked back, crisp pony BUT hear me out - middle parted!! because a middle part is so sexy!! (but also i don't know how well that would work with yas' hair because she does have a lil cowlick but also she could do a slightly off-centred middle part??? man idk i'm not a hair stylist i just think she looks really good here) and she'd do it obviously because it matches the vibe of the rest of her all-black outfit. it's slick. it's sleek. it's giving john wick but the lady version. and i'm here for it.

3. wedding bands

so i had posted this on twitter without explaining that these two photos aren't kate and lucy's rings separately - i think they absolutely would have matching bands. but either of these is the direction i think they'd go. they're minimal, not too flashy, but still lets everyone know that they got money in the baaaaaaank (another hc of mine: kate really likes gold jewelry and wouldn't go for anything less than 24k). realistically i think they'd go for the wedding band on the left - it's not too flashy for work, it's not overly thick or as ugly as some wedding bands are (i'm sorry but also not sorry), and it's just them. i don't know how else to explain it. buuuuut, in a theoretical world, they would have bought rings for each other like on the right as engagement rings (because we all know that when time comes to propose, they're both going to uno reverse each other when one of them proposes first because the other was absolutely planning to propose as well) AND THEN STACK THEM. BOOM. Gold band & Diamond encrusted band to give them the bling but still keep it lowkey. (I just don’t think they’re big Diamond rock people sorry)

4. ceremony venue

kate and lucy strike me as sentimental people (despite lucy being one to "pack light"). i think they're the kind of people who hold places that have a lot of meaning near and dear to their hearts. i like to imagine that they would use their little beach from 2x07 to do their ceremony at (and they would do a closed ceremony - they'd rent that entire beach out for family and friends). it's a place that's symbolic to lucy slowly conquering her fears and kate being steady, safe, and secure enough in their relationship that they would overcome that little obstacle. it's also a place where lucy learns to really compromise, because she knows that the ocean is something that kate adores, respects, and reveres: that despite it's vastness, there is beauty. there is life. and like their love for one another, it's wave after wave after wave. and it washes over them (hypothetically, because lucy still will never set foot in the ocean).

5. reception venue

again, with kate and lucy being private people and having a small guest list (by choice, they also hate being the centre of attention), i'd imagine they'd use tennant's backyard because of how special and significant the tennant home has become in their lives: finding ohana, being invited over for dinner or drinks, it literally being an open-door home for any of them whenever they needed; it's the safest space they know. it's also where kate won lucy back. full circle baby. (also julie is absolutely the wedding planner. she knows everyone else will be way too busy with work to even get down to the planning. so she creates moodboards and they quickly find that she has a knack for wedding planning despite her age).

after a bit of a hiatus, I am back to posting about The Rookie. My Thoughts from 5x06 The Reckoning 

We had a cold open! And it was kind of funny. Did it remind anyone of that PSA about many weapons a person could conceal, and at the end they pull a full-on rifle out of the guys' jeans? Anyone? 

Yawn - I don’t care where or when Nolan and Bailey wed. I just want Abigail to be there! Henry too!!

It is interesting to see them circle back to the Elijah Stone case - will there be any actual development, or is this to introduce Wes’ ex(who is a Rosalind lookalike?)

Juarez is not a fun character? I am not liking her. She is underwritten. She fell asleep on the job, STANDING UP, and Nolan didn’t light her up? Tim took pictures and made t-shirts. It feels like Nolan isn’t understanding his job of being a TO - even later in the episode he kind of flips and lets Angela know the idea was Juarez’s even though as her TO, especially at this stage in the game, any good she does is on him - but any bad she does is even more on his shoulders. I don’t feel like Nolan is teaching so much as he is letting her do things? Very different from any TO approach before. 

I have the same bronze top as Angela. I would not put it with leather pants, but that is just me. 😉

Celina is so unprofessional!! It makes me uncomfortable. 

Lucy knowing his coffee truck makes me think of season 1/2. Lots of old headcanons we concocted, and fic ideas. A memory of what it was like when Chenford rode together. 

J August Richards? Interesting to see the Whedon connection here. I often wonder how much Fillion’s credit is vanity vs actual; we see from Instagram that he does a lot of cool behinds the scenes things for the team, which makes me think he might have more say than he lets on. Giving a friend a role is nice! 

Tim’s favourite movie. Remaining unnamed just means we get to guess. I want it to be Princess Bride, but alas, it wasn’t filmed in LA. What if it was a muppet movie?!? It is objectively sad that the only person who knows Tim enough to do this is Lucy. I hope we get more Genny in the future, give him more people. 

I reserve the right to change my mind on this, but I appreciated that in the midst of Tim and Lucy having banter over the radios (and I do still feel the prank was childish) they did have a shared moment of connection. Even though Tim didn’t tell her what was going on, they dropped the act. 

Now Bailey is training Nolan’s rookie? 🫠 Her sleeping on Nolan’s couch?

Now Wesley is a cheater? Ugh. I hate past reveals that people were shitty. 

Angela’s hair!!! It’s curly again. 

Wait, he has never told Angela that he was engaged before her, or that he cheated. Those are pretty big red flags for me personally, and I know this is a tv show and it is not the same - but yikes.  As Keith Habersberger would say, “not in this climate!”

Angela in her deposition was as hard and sharp as we know and love her to be.

Hot Uncle Cooper letting us all down, again. 

Okay, so let’s talk Chenford: I liked them this episode. I liked that Lucy tried, but when she felt it wasn’t working she stopped her game and let Tim know that she wasn’t going to push it. To me, this felt like a good callback to season 1/2 Chenford - Lucy knowing how to get Tim to open up. She knows how to push and when to pull back, and as a result, Tim told her the whole of it. 

While the Ashley/Tim breakup itself was badly done, at least he told her that it was Ashley. I feel like this is important. 

And then Lucy invites him to eat with them. The cajones. I am glad Tim declines. And that we got two look backs. 

Also, wardrobe does have clothes that make Lucy look good? Not hideous pants and oversized sweaters?? Hallelujah! Our girl was hot. 🔥

On a finale note, I think this season is running more smoothly than last simply because we have no had so many interrupted episodes. Last year it felt we had two episodes, then three weeks off, then one episode, then two weeks off, etc. etc. etc.

Multiple times I've come across ppl literally sharing images of people who've been killed (in one case children what the fuck???) And even if its below a cut I still have to read the description of why they've put it under a cut. I know ppl have different opinions of this stuff but in my view that's so disrespectful of those who've lost their lives. The guilt trippy stuff (and I'm sorry but it's largely coming from people that don't know what they're talking about, as shown by the fact that there's literally no awareness that the stuff that's being said/shown untagged is hugely triggering for ppl who've lived through this stuff)

This is not a news site!!! People trying to avoid this stuff does not mean they don't have awareness of what's going on and aren't staying aware by getting their news from actual news sources???

I'm not against people talking about this stuff on here at all. It needs to be talked about. But for the love of God, making a post is not the same as taking to people in person. People do not have the option to walk away when you just send a post out in to the ether like that. Just tag things appropriately it's not that hard!!!

So yeah thank you for saying it. I always feel hugely guilty for trying to avoid certain things because of the guilt tripping that's so rife on this site but I really shouldn't cause half of what's coming up isn't even constructive (or true a lot of the time) and it just brings up a whole load of stuff that hits my mental health and makes it harder for me to actually campaign in a way that helps people

I always think of that one tweet that's like 'misery is not activism' making people feel shit isn't actually solving any of these issues or helping the world at all lol

When it comes to this topic, I always think of some articles I read about the human brain's capacity for processing bad news. One of them was titled something like "your brain can't handle the world".

Basically, it talked about how years ago (mind you, not that many years, given how fast modern technology evolved) you would get your handful of news, good and bad, on the newspaper or on TV and radio, and even that was already much more than a person in the 1800's would, given the slow pace of letters and how only vital info was able to fit into one. Newspapers would often only carry local news, and you could spend a whole lifetime without knowing what was happening in countries on the other side of the ocean.

Now, imagine that. A wedding would be the talk of the town for weeks. A funeral would be The Sad Event for your to grieve over for the following months. That is the amount of happy and sad (and playful, and contemplative, and other emotions) that one could experience and process in a healthy manner.

But nowadays, you get see the story of a family adopting their first puppy two continents away, and that's great and cool, but unfortunately that also means that you get the story of a bunch of children dying two continents away too, and the testimony of their families, and the overview of the political landscape that lead to this happening and the bleak understanding that that's not gonna change and it will happen again--

all that while you might be dealing yourself with a fascist government in your country, and your own bad news, and your own shitty economy, and laws that hurt a minority of which you are a part, and, and--

That is all too much. Literally too much for the mind of someone who is already tired of doing their own activism and surviving within the microcosm that is their town/community/country.

So you close CNN. You turn off the news livestream. You take a deep breath and you open tumblr because your mind is parched for dopamine and happiness you could use some cute fanart and compelling headcanons to relax.

You are two cute dog pics down when you scroll into graphic pictures of the latest massacre, paired with a detailed testemony of whatever horrific thing that happened. There isn't even a link for donations, or an e-mail you can reach to do anything remotely useful about it. It's just a spatter of misery smeared on your phone screen, quickly erasing all joy you might've gotten from the dog pics.

Your taglist is extensive, mind you, for the sake of keeping your dash a small safe haven from the dangers of doomscrolling - it's all there, blocked from sight: #negative, #current events, #death/, #child death/, #animal death/, #[insert current world tragedy], #[insert topic particularly triggering that could send you into a panic attack].

But people don't tag their shit. They say shit like "i don't care your blog theme, if you don't reblog this, you're a monster". They say "stop scrolling and look at this horrific thing". They say "why is no one talking about this"--

And don't realize, or don't care that some people are drowning in bills to pay and extra shifts to work and needing to double-think about wearing their pride pins because homophobia is getting worse in their country, and struggling with depression and anxiety, etc, etc.

I'm too adhd to make a concise text post ever, but if I can make any sort of point here, I guess that would be:

There is nothing wrong with not wanting to see, reblog or interact with negative posts about current events. This is not a news website. You did not come here for the news, and therefore is perfectly normal that you don't want to deal with them.

There is nothing wrong with making your dash a nice place curated with only the things you like. Block tags and blogs liberally. I know I do. This website is, to me, a source of memes, headcanons, jokes, character analysis and occasional useful knowledge. I don't get my news here. I don't engage in political/ideological debates here. I see a transphobe, I block them. I see a gun-freak bootlicker, I block them. This is my little garden, and goddamnit I will rip off all the weeds.

There is nothing wrong with not reblogging certain content, no matter what the guilt-trippy reblogs say. You don't owe anyone the space in your blog. This is your little garden, people don't get to tell you what to plant in it. You are one. Little. Person. You rebbloging something won't have the Big Worldly Impact they're making it out to be.

If you want to make room for the occasional activism in your blog, that's fine too. I make a point that everything I reblog that has a negative tone must be not only properly tagged but also have some kind of action attached to it - a donation link, a link for further reading in case of something raising awareness, a contact line for representatives to stop some dogshit law. I never reblog things that are just depressing and leave you feeling hopeless.

Please stay safe, drink water, be wary of doomscrolling, allow yourself not to be an activist 24/7, give yourself a safe space to decompress, take care, I love you <3

Before I go, I must leave fair warning to the piss-poor reading comprehension crowd: no, I am not advocating for toxic positivity or pretending that everything is fine, I just want the poor fuck juggling two jobs plus school while living in a political hellscape and managing depression and some other undiagnosed mental condition to be able to scroll the funny shitposting website without having to see triggering content that will send them into a panic attack.

she did choose to marry baird but if she truly had had a choice, she probably wouldn’t have married anyone at that point of her life. marrying baird meant influence and stability which in turn helped her career, and being an unmarried woman in the 80s in an environment like waystar wouldn’t have been a good look.

she doesn’t mind being a mother though it’s also another thing she wouldn’t probably have chosen for herself. she acknowledges that she could have been more present in her daughters’ lives during their childhood, but she also refuses to feel too bad about it. in her opinion she has always been there when it mattered.

she also didn’t mind baird and they became pretty comfortable with each other during their marriage. gerri got baird’s job after he died mostly because she already knew most of the secrets and because she was genuinely good at her job. but also because waystar desperately needed more women at the top. while she would have liked to have gotten the job solely due to her competence, she’s not gonna complain.

she genuinely has never wanted to be at the top. she much prefers orchestrating everything from the sidelines. that doesn’t mean she has never thought about what she’d do if she was the one in charge. that is why she doesn’t really like being the interim ceo – in paper she might be at the top, but in reality she’s just being logan’s puppet.

she has always kept her daughters away from waystar as much as possible. she knows why the waystar office walls are made from glass these days. she and baird have attended copious roy family events but their daughters have rarely made an appearance.

has a very delightful frenemies-sort of a relationship with caroline. in a way where she is invited to caroline’s wedding and they have one extremely fake conversation filled with pleasantries but after that they both roll their eyes.

she actually likes marcia.

has spent the past 30-ish years not really liking the roy kids. she hasn’t really let that affect the way she actually works with them: even if she thinks that kendall is pathetic and that roman is stupid, if she has to, she helps them.

I just made them both Chris' dads when I was creating them lol I wanted to see if it would automatically change Buck and Eddie's relationship and it didn't so they were roommates but both were his dads haha (well tbf with the growing together pack now it's possible to have a baby with a friend too - the science baby thing - so maybe that's why haha)

the house took me sooo long but I'm happy with how it turned out, even tho it's not perfect lol - also, since making this, I got some new packs so I might redecorate a little soon haha (the only cc I used was the couch bc I couldn't find even a similar one, and this one is still not perfect but it works haha)

It’s been a rough day. As I said I think I had vertigo and I had to head out for a bit to get new stuff for cat and get my hair cleaned up a bit. Still a bit busy but I’m ok. I’m mostly having trouble thinking about more than one thing at a time. I have one last set of asks to do to end the arc. Then imma do some reblogs and wholesome asks on the other blogs for a little bit. Next week I may be a bit busy and week after that Imma be flying out for a bit to visit my cousins wedding Aswell as get some materials for a special gift I’ll be getting. :3c Also tomorrow gonna be just as hetic. Hopefully I’ll feel better. But I do have two pics I’ll be getting that I’m sure some of you will like. Possibly 3. We will see. Also during this arc @askchammy has been making some audio for me that I absolutely LOVE and I promise you when the time comes I WILL SHARE THEM. I just need time and one picture to make it start.
