Frozen
*screeches in delight* Ok so I just finished the TSS masterlist (also please add me to the taglist) and at least in the past, you did literal interpretations of sayings. My question is, does this apply to fight/flight/freeze or brain freeze, and if so, do you have the spoons to write a fic? - diamond-blade
So I just saw this post (do links work in asks? It’s by orbmanson7), and now I want a Logan angst fic where the other sides literally silenced him. Or just any Logan angst, I’m not picky! - anon
Read on Ao3
Warnings: paralysis
Pairings: gen
Word Count: 2284
Out of all of the ways he envisioned the argument ending, this wasn't one of them.
"Look, if we could all just get on the same page—"
"Same page? You're on a different chapter, Pocket Protector!" Roman throws his hands up. "Matter of fact, a different book! A different library!"
"There really is no need to be so dramatic."
"No—no need?" Roman splutters. "What do you think my job is?"
"It's not to be a constant nuisance!"
"I dunno," Virgil mutters, "could've fooled me."
"Oh, like you can talk!"
"Now, now, everyone—" Patton raises his hands in what is supposed to be a placating manner— "let's stop with all the name-calling and just settle down."
"Oh, I haven't even started name-calling."
"I think the point was to pre-empt any name-calling you may have done," Logan points out, pinching the bridge of his nose.
There really was no reason for this argument to spiral out of control so much. It was simply to decide whether Thomas would spend the day writing—as he had planned for the week and had already declined other weekend activities for, he had expressed multiple times that he wanted to write and in fact, missed it—or whether he would accept the invitation for coffee from someone he'd met a few days earlier.
Logan, of course, had maintained that they decline. They had plans, they had projects, ones that Roman himself had been advocating they work on.
Roman, however, being as fickle as he always is, had the prospect of romance figuratively waved under his nose and he'd been derailed faster than—well, a train derailing.
"Logan's got a point, Princey, you're the one who's been pushing for us to do the projects for like, a month." Virgil leans back against the stair rail. "You realize that this is likely the only time Logan's gonna be agreeing with you on…anything for the next year, right?"
"Logan, on average, how long does 'getting coffee' normally take?"
"Well, based on most estimates the actual act of procuring the coffee takes about five to ten minutes depending on the density of the other customers, extending to forty minutes if during peak rush hours—"
"You know what I meant."
"—but the act of 'getting coffee' in a romantic setting normally lasts at least an hour."
Roman gestures emphatically. "One hour! One hour! We can spare one hour from our busy day of writing to go and get coffee with someone."
"Interrupting your creative process has rarely shown such productivity. Additionally, it is unlikely that it will remain one hour when you account for travel time."
"Aren't you the one who's always advocating for healthy scheduling and taking breaks? I seem to recall a lengthy conversation with both you and Janus about pacing myself." Roman gestures at the door. "This is a way for me to take a break! For all of us to take a break!"
Virgil snorts. "Speak for yourself, Princey. Both you and I are gonna be on the clock."
"Plus—" Roman points at Patton— "the other day you and I were talking about how I need more inspiration! Because we decided that going on quests in the Imagination wasn't good enough, so I need new material! This is how I get new material!"
Patton falters and inwardly, Logan curses. If Roman can get Patton on his side…then the argument is as good as over.
"You also have a tendency to get distracted very easily by new things," he points out, "and it is likely that you will become so preoccupied with fantasies about this new potential suitor that you will lose all motivation or inspiration to work on these projects."
Virgil hums, pointing at him. "He's got a point."
"…he does, kiddo."
Roman makes an affronted noise, all but wilting. "Come on, this'll be good for Thomas!"
"Good for Thomas," Logan asks, "or good for you?"
"What's the difference?"
"Well," he continues, adjusting his glasses, "what's good for Thomas can also be working on these projects he's been letting sit and stagnate for almost a month now to help appease his Anxiety and maintain a consistent level of productivity."
He raises an eyebrow.
"And it allows more than one of us to take 'center stage,' if you will."
"I appreciate the theater reference, but come on, I'm asking you for an hour! Two, tops!"
"We've kinda already set this day aside for you, Roman," Patton says warily, "you—don't you think you're getting a little greedy?"
There are points, Logan has realized, where, in hindsight, he can label them as the moments where the nosedives begin. And while he will grant both Roman and himself the respect to admit they'd been somewhat antagonistic towards each other, Patton's remark had…well.
"Greedy?" Roman draws himself up. "Excuse me, what exactly am I being greedy about?"
"We have already decided this day shall be for writing. That means that you will be the one who is 'in charge,' so to speak, or at the very least your connection to Thomas will be prioritized." Logan gestures around at the others. "However, as Thomas's creative process revolves around us as well, as characters he has created and such, that means we shall also have a part to play, even if yours is disproportionate to ours."
"Okay—"
"However," Logan continues as Roman tries to interrupt him, "if you choose instead to go on this…coffee date—"
"I didn't say it was a date!" Roman holds up a proclamatory finger. "Let the record show I never said it was a date."
"That's kinda what you implied, though," Virgil muttered.
"—if you choose to go," Logan says, speaking over them, "then it will very much be a 'one-man show,' if you will, save for the occasional inputs you deign to allow the rest of us."
"Except me," Virgil adds, "you get no say in that matter."
"So, yes, Roman." Logan crosses his arms. "Trying to force an activity where you have more of a say could be considered greedy."
Roman splutters, looking back and forth as if expecting someone to deny it. When no one does, he puffs himself up and clears his throat. "I am trying to ensure Thomas gets adequate socialization and continues to meet new people! I-if anything, it's Logan who's being greedy for insisting we stick to his strict schedule!"
"Oh, god."
"Roman…"
Logan draws himself up too. "I have at least taken the time and care to make sure that everyone is content with the schedule, whereas you—"
"I"m not content with it! In case that is very much unclear—"
"—insist on blundering through things as you always do and expecting everyone else to cater to your needs—"
"—no, I am not happy with it. And you're the one who insists I have only 0.5% of any given day, were you just looking for an excuse to—"
"—without realizing that we have to work together. I understand that might be a difficult concept for you to grasp—"
"—shut me out? Oh, and here we go again, el principe es estupido, is that the only insult you have?"
"—but I assure you it is a worthwhile endeavor. Perhaps if you were capable of seeing beyond yourself—"
"I don't know how to put other people first? Why do you think I've let this project be pushed off so much, because none of you—"
"—then you might realize that the world does not, in fact, revolve around you and whatever you think is important—"
"—seem to think it's worth doing even though it's Thomas's source of income! You don't understand how hard it is to—"
"—and since you clearly cannot afford even the basic respect of listening to me and letting me speak uninterrupted, then clearly you are not capable of considering the fact that you are not—"
"Shut up!"
—worth having this argument with, is what Logan would say, or perhaps even don't tell me to shut up!
What he ends up saying is nothing.
Nothing at all.
Which is, of course, because he has been frozen.
His arms go rigid at his sides. His lungs refuse to inflate. His eyes begin to water from their inability to blink. His mouth dries up and he stands there, hangs there, freezes there as something horribly cold and deadly seeps into him.
I can't move. I can't move. I can't move.
An interesting thing about pain; pain requires functioning nerves. If you can't feel anything, then you can't feel pain. But if you can't feel pain, then you can't tell when something is wrong. And if you can't tell when something is wrong, you can't tell when it's getting worse.
Mouth open, one hand slightly raised, his weight imperfectly balanced on one leg because he'd been in the middle of shifting, Logan freezes in place. He looks at his hand and for a moment, he doesn't quite recognize that it's his hand because he can't feel it. He can't move it. He can only stare at this thing a few inches in front of him that looks like a hand that used to belong to him.
Then he remembers he can't scream.
"What the fuck did you do?"
"Logan? Logan, are you okay?"
"What the fuck did you do, Roman?"
"I don't know! I didn't—I don't know, I've never done this before!"
"Well, fucking undo it then!"
"I don't know how! I don't—don't shut up! Talk, Logan, say something! Move!"
"It's not working!"
"I can see that it's not working!"
"L, L, you gotta move, you gotta—come on, bud, you gotta."
"Un-shut up! Anti-shut up! Move again! Undo whatever I just did! I take it back!"
"That's not working either!"
"Fuck—I'm sorry, Logan! I didn't mean it, I just got angry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
"Roman, I swear to god, if you can't fix this—"
"Unfreeze!"
Logan gasps, sensation flooding back into his body so quickly it's almost painful. He collapses into a heap as blood rushes through him, pounding so heavily in his ears that it's almost deafening. His hands—his hands, he can move them now—scream with pain as he clenches and unclenches them, his muscles trying slowly to reacclimate to moving, to feeling, to being unfrozen.
"Easy, bud," comes Virgil's low voice, "in for five, okay? One…two…three…four…five. Good, good job. Hold now…"
He lets Virgil walk him through a breathing exercise until he can breathe normally. He looks up and nods when Virgil gives him a quiet you okay?
"Logan, kiddo? You okay, sweetheart?"
"Yes…yes, I think so."
"Go slow, okay," Virgil warns as he starts to stand up again, "you just gotta go slow."
Standing is…challenging, but he manages. The whole ordeal had lasted barely a minute and now that he's able to move again, the panic fades and he can start to function once more. He takes a few more deep breaths to steady himself before he looks around.
Patton is hovering, concern written plainly all over his face. Virgil is next to him, there if he needs to grab onto his shoulder or sink out. Roman is—
Roman is standing on the other side of the room, his hands held over his mouth in horror. There are tears on his face.
"I'm sorry, Logan," he whispers, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it, I didn't even know I could do that, I—are you okay?"
"Yes," and surprisingly, he is, "I'm alright now. I would…appreciate if that didn't happen again."
"No, no, of course, I won't—I won't do it again. I promise."
"Thank you."
Roman nods, his hands finally moving away from his face. He swallows and draws himself up, although this time it's far more similar to a child trying to save face than an arrogant prince. "I, um…we can…I'll be ready to write on Saturday."
"That would be great, thank you."
"Do you…need or want anything else right now?"
He pauses, considering, before slowly reaching out for him. Roman balks, confusion and fear warring on his features before he slowly crosses the room to let Logan grab onto him.
"You're the warmest," Logan mumbles, lurching forward to hug him—only it ends up being more like leaning his entire weight on Roman while Roman holds him up— "I'm still cold."
"Oh, of—of course." Roman wraps his arms carefully around him and Logan hums. "Would—do you want to sit on the couch?"
"Mm."
"…was that a 'yes?'"
"Yes."
Roman helps him carefully over to the couch as Virgil and Patton pull out the coffee table to make room for everyone's limbs. Logan turns his face against Roman's shoulder and closes his eyes.
"I'm going to sleep here now."
"Okay." Roman adjusts his grip so he won't get a strain in his neck. "I really am sorry, Logan."
"I know." He blinks up at him. "We can't do Saturday, but maybe…we may be able to do Sunday?"
Roman smiles. "We can talk about it later. You should sleep now."
And so he does.

Anti-jikookers, don't worry Jikook is doing well.
I’ve seen a lot of my fav jikook bloggers being bombarded by antis, insecure jikookers, haters, whatever you want to call them…asking about or trying to claim that JM and JK must not be on good terms or broken up because of things JK has said about JM’s songs or his schedule.
Here’s some thoughts on that, feel free to read on or don’t. Cause who am I to talk about this?
No really…who am I? 🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media

I’m Park Jimin! That’s who! 🤣 Sorry couldn’t help myself.
Moving on...👀
Since I am new to the community, for the record: I do believe Jikook is in a long-term committed relationship.
One of the many reasons why I love watching Jikook interactions is that they remind me so much of me and my husband. I have been with him for 16 years. 3 of which, we have been married. Jikook is so unbelievably domestic, especially in the last few years IMO.
Do you think they live together? You may be wondering.
My hot take: I think they live together as often as they can, given their occupations and being a closeted couple. They probably have a few properties that they use.
Now, on to the trolls that want to use JK’s words as proof that Jikook are broken up, not close, blah blah blah.
There is no doubt that JM and JK mean a lot to each other. There is plenty of evidence of them paying a lot of attention to each other and knowing a lot about each other such as their likes, dislikes, and being able to read each other like a damn book.
Listen, I can do the same thing with my husband and he can with me. Especially since he and I also started dating very young at 18 yrs old. We have grown up and changed over the many years we have been together. These are the big overarching important things.
When it comes to daily details over a few busy days, weeks, or months. There's no way I would expect my husband to remember every single detail I chatted to him about my job, a project I am working on, or what I did 2 days ago.
Look, selective hearing is a thing and it is prevalent in long-term relationships. Ask anyone who’s been in a relationship for over 5 years. I can tell my husband before bed “I’m going in late to work tomorrow” and he will ask me in the morning “Aren’t you going to be late for work?” 🤨
Yup, look forward to long-term committed and/or married-life. 😂
I’d also like to remind anyone who forgot about this:

***For those of you with no humor or who can't tell by the tone and smirk of JK, he is definitely teasing JM.
We now know that JK obviously knew about the most romantic song of all time, which was a love letter to him on Jimin's album. (I said it. Mad? Stay mad.)
As for the other songs on the album, Jimin probably didn’t explain too many details about each and every song. Jimin seems to get very shy when he is creating music. I can relate because I hate sharing my unfinished art and creative endeavors with anyone let alone my husband who is my best friend. The creative process can sometimes be very delicate depending on your personality and we know Jimin is very hard on himself and has a lot of self-doubts. Again, I can relate.
Lastly, when you are suddenly very busy and have little or no time to spend with your partner one of the LAST things you wanna do when you are with them is talk about work. Ugh.
Jimin and Jungkook are musicians and that is their job. They are part of the few who have been able to build their career from their passion which they love, but it is still considered work.
I’m sure when they have quality time together, they want it to be about enjoying each other's company. Not about work 24/7. Especially since evidence has shown they are the type of couple that enjoys spending a lot of time together.
Uhhh....this has gotten pretty long and I’m probably writing to a wall so….끝!

3 Mandos and a Baby AU: The OCs Part 1
I have a bunch of Mando OCs that I’m just throwing into this AU willynilly because I firmly believe New Mando society wasn’t just a bunch of identical tall blondes and like 1 red head. I’m not letting Clone Wars budget constraints also constrain my imagination. Plus I need competent people to replace all the corrupt folks that get taken down and more characters to flesh out the world. A little disclaimer: only the human/near human OCs on this list have portraits because I can’t draw so I’m using Artbreeder.
Harik Vhen:
Tumblr media
I’ve finally given everyone’s favorite theater mando a name (okay, my favorite theater mando). Harik’s family were Haat Mando’ade from the planet Vanquo, which despite technically belonging to the Republic controlled Meerian sector, has a long history of being conquered by Mandalore. After the massacre at Galidraan his family integrated into New Mandalorian society so they could survive. What was left of his clan found work in the smuggling business.
Harik’s parents taught him the True Mandalorian way of life. They had to do it in secret, but they were adamant their people’s legacy, and the legacy of Mandalore the Reformer, would not die with them.
Though they weren’t important in the least, Harik’s folks managed to get him into the Royal Academy of Government on one of Duchess Satine’s culture scholarships. His obsession with musical theatre actually had a use, who knew?
Because the Academy’s administration is elitist as hell, all the kids from lesser clans seem to get grouped together. They get the crappiest dorm rooms, the worst class schedules, and depending on the professor, the harshest grading. Harik’s been passed over for staring roles since he was eight, and has to endure the mocking of his more “noble” peers. It’ll all be okay though once he graduates and gets a job in the Ministry of Culture. Then he’ll be able to afford a place in the Sundari mid-levels for his clan, and they won’t have to risk prision just to ensure the ad’ike won’t starve.
He’s a little betrayed when his friend and roommate Alrich Taldyn (Alrich needed a maiden name okay? It was bugging me not having a canon one) starts seeing the heiress to Clan Wren of Krownest, but what’s he gonna do? All his doubts about her vanish the moment the weirdly prescient heir to Kalevala introduces them properly and Harik gets drawn into the most mandokar plot ever.
Vel Batin:
Tumblr media
After Korkie and company purge the corrupt from Mandalore’s government, their sector needs a new Senator. Enter Vel Batin, veteran of the Great Clan Wars, former Captain of the Ordo system Protectors, and three-term Mayor of the city of Keldabe.
She’s a certified badass with an axe to grind against the Republic. She lost family on Galidraan, two siblings and six cousins gone within a day, all because the illustrious Republic Judiciary Forces couldn’t do more than two minutes of research. When Mand’alor Kryze announces they’re going to be running the elections for Senator a bit early this year, Batin applies immediately. She makes it clear when meeting with the young Mand’alor that should she get the job she will take every opportunity to throw mud at the Senate. Korkie is ecstatic to hear this and endorses her for the position.
The Clone Wars break out right when Senator Batin is elected, and she gets the pleasure of spending time with Korkie and his friends on the journey to Coruscant. His plan for a clone freedom trail is particularly interesting to her, and they spend much of the flight hashing out the details. Whatever reservations she may have had about swearing allegiance to a 16 year old are quickly washed away by how competent he seems.
The get to Coruscant, Senator Batin is sworn in, and then she turns the pod over to Korkie. Vel has plenty she wants to say, but she figures she’ll get plenty of chances to tear into the Senate. Let the Mand’alor have this one.
She becomes an active participant in the Mando-clone freedom trail, and before the first year of war is over she’s already adopted like seven clone sons. Three of them are fully grown clone troopers, while the other four range from physically 15-ish to freshly decanted tubies. All of them have a “defect” of some kind.
Her three adult clone sons are Rex’s original batch brothers. They were split up when they were four (equivalent to eight standard) due to all of them having minor defects (for fucks sake Nala Se blue eyes isn’t a defect). Despite the longnecks looking for any excuse to kill them, most of their batch makes it off Kamino. Except for Farr, whose only crime was having hair that was a bit too curly for the cloners. While the Coronet Kryze-Kenobi holodrama is going on her and Rex are swapping stories and commlinks so he can talk to his brothers.
Solus Bralor:
Tumblr media
The older of the two Bralor twins, Solus’s parents made the immensely creative decision to name her one, and her sister two. The twins have Barolian heritage, hence their offensively blue hair (well, hence Solus’s offensively blue hair. T’ad dyes hers).
She’s an angry edgelord of a kid. She’s totally bought into the propaganda that Duchess Satine is committing genocide against Mandalorian culture. She’s never even so much as spoken to a New Mando, but her buire used to say so, before they died in the 2nd battle of Concord Dawn. Now it’s just her, her twin, their older brother, and their little sibling.
Solus’s loyal to her family, Pre Vizsla, and the Nite Owls, in that order. In the last timeline, she was one of those who sided with Maul’s Shadow Collective. In this timeline, Bo-Katan manages to turn her against Pre with the help of foreknowledge.
In Bo’s last timeline the youngest Bralor, Tio, died because Pre ordered the younger cadets through a live fire exercise. Tio was only seven, and died because they were only seven. In this timeline Bo just happens to be drilling her Nite Owls near the range where Pre’s just straight up shooting children. A couple of daring jetpack maneuvers later and Tio’s being handed off to their shocked siblings while Bo-Katan throws every insult she knows at Pre.
Later, when Bo’s proudly wearing the shiner Pre gave her in response to her tearing him a new asshole (the Nite Owls know that’s not the only bruise she got, they all share a barracks), all four Bralor siblings basically consider her their new god.
T’ad Bralor:
Tumblr media
T’ad has spent her whole life following her sister. One and two, Solus and T’ad. It’s just who they are. T’ad even died her hair to better match her sister. When her sister set her mind to joining Lady Bo-Katan’s Nite Owls, T’ad joined her in the training yard. When Solus volunteered for a mission, T’ad would be next to raise her hand. And when Solus sided with Maul’s Shadow Collective over Lady Bo-Katan, T’ad followed her. Followed her right into the grave.
T’ad is smart. Capable. But she lacks any ambition outside of following her sister. Their brother Tracyn worries about that, but she always insists she’s fine. Honestly, she does have a hobby that’s seperate from Solus. Tracyn doesn’t think that setting up a bi-weekly karaoke night for her unit counts as a hobby, but he drops it for now.
When Korkie takes over Mandalore he needs a PR department and Harik recruits T’ad to his staff. She tries to turn it down, she really doesn’t like to do something without her sister, but Harik tells her no. She’s his only other department member and he needs someone to sort through the eighty billion videos of Korkie being an adorable dork. This position is an honor for her, her clan, and anyone else would be chomping at the bit to get this job, so just take it dammit! (She takes the job)

Hopes for 2024 <3
I want to write down all of my goals for 2024 but realistically it creates a false sense of achievement and a goal that you may not reach which leads to disappointment. despite my opinion on it, I do think sometimes it is beneficial to have a list of things I would've liked to have achieved throughout the year. I want to be able to save money this year. I don't care about the amount I just want to start building a fund to sort a house for myself further down the line. I want to have money so that I don't have to depend on anyone and know that if all fails I have a stash I can fall back on. Secondly, I want to organise projects and my time a lot better so that I feel for fulfilled and less stressed all of the time. I want to organise birthdays and I want to sort Christmas a lot better for next year. On top of that, I want to find a job that is stable and can give me hours to earn a decent amount so that I can live comfortably which will allow me to save a lot more than I currently can.
I also want to let myself have bad days and I want to take myself places because I want to go also because I think it's fun to explore new places. There are a lot of things I want to do but I think most of them are already goals I am already partially achieving. for instance: climbing 2-3 times a week swimming twice a month? eating healthier no "easy meals" Trying and reduce my sugar intake including "fizzy drinks" They already make me feel gassy and ew so it's a good idea to try and cut them or just get rid. I want to be happy in my body and although everyone says I'm "healthy" I think there's a boundary where I know I will be happy and I would like to stay there. I want to have a good work/uni and social schedule so that I don't sit in my loneliness. I would like to try running again possibly even if it's once a week or once every 2 weeks I would like to try just because I've missed it a lot. I would like to meal prep so that if I'm having a hard day or a long ass day I know that I have food in the house. I want to spend more time with the new friends I've made and try and move on from people who have hurt me recently or have tried to make my life difficult to live. I know I will have to wait for these things to become habits but I know if I do them I might be a happier version of myself hopefully. I would like to travel next year as well, I think my best plan for that would be when I have my tenancy crossover so that I wouldn't have to go home and I could create some amazing memories along the way. it will work out <3 ily <3

DIY Vs Professional Residential Painters: What Should You Do?
One of the quickest ways to change a home's appearance and feel is to paint the interior or exterior.
Whether you do it yourself or with professional assistance, choosing the right paint colours is crucial because they impact how a home is perceived.
A house with a nice new coat of paint and one with a shoddy paint job is very different from one another.
You have the decision to make right now. How do you use paint to improve the appearance of a home? Do you do it yourself over the weekend or hire contractors?
Costs, time commitment, and safety are a few variables that will undoubtedly influence your choice.
Should I paint my house myself, or should I hire a professional? Consider your painting priorities carefully.
Tumblr media
The DIY Route:
Most people will face the task of painting a room at some point in their lives.
A natural sense of satisfaction follows the completion of the job. Even though you aren't re-painting the Mona Lisa, your work still requires some artistic talent and attention to detail.
While it is simple to feel satisfied with a job well done, it's also critical to consider whether the effort was worthwhile.
Everyone will have a different answer, and it will probably depend on the following factors:
Benefits of Painting Your Room
If you get quotes from reputable painting companies, you might discover that doing it yourself will save you money. You must take into account your capacity for doing the job well, your access to high places and tools, and how highly you value your property.
It is possible to save money if you determine that the project is manageable and does not require expert assistance. The cost of the paint itself, which typically ranges between $30 and $50 per gallon, will be the most significant outlay.
Although primer costs a little less, it is still necessary for a high-quality application. The final costs are the supplies you'll need when it's time to start painting, such as brushes, rollers, ladders, tape, mud, and so forth.
When you paint alone, you can go at your own pace. If you don't have a strict deadline, you can finish the task in stages over a few days to fit your schedule.
Some people prefer the extra control that comes with doing the work themselves.
Cons of Doing Your Painting Yourself
If you take your time and focus on the smallest details, your work will likely be better than what experts can produce. Remember that Residential Painters spend their entire lives learning the nuances of painting preparation and quality control. One error is all it takes to ruin the appearance of the paint.
Most people need to realise how much time and work goes into painting a house. The process involves lifting, reaching, climbing, and repeatedly bending, all of which can strain a person's body.
You may want to take into account whether you enjoy your current job. It always pays to hire a professional artist to complete the job for you if you have the time and are willing to put in more effort (you usually make more working at your full-time job to offset the hours you would spend painting because professionals get more done in a shorter time and do it better).
Recruiting Experts
You choose the safe option with a company like Prestige Coating. You can ensure the work will be completed on schedule and adequately. You make up for what you lose in control in other ways.
Many people value the convenience that comes with hiring a professional painter. Others take pleasure in knowing that the outcome will be precise as they had envisioned. Here are some things to be aware of if you are thinking about hiring professionals for your painting project:
Benefits of Choosing Professional Painter
The outcomes are easier to predict. Professional Residential Painters always maintain neatness, lines, edges, and uniform colour.
When homeowners delegate the work to someone else, they incur little commitment.
You can carry on with your day with a little bit ofinterruption while the Residential Painters transform a space.
There is no risk of harm or strain on your body unless you harm yourself by signing a contract.
The disadvantage of Hiring Specialist Residential Painters
The price will be higher than going it alone. Some people don't see this as a con because they believe that time is money.
Enlisting professionals may feel like giving up some control if you are the person who must be in charge of every aspect of your home.
Prestige Coating is the best way to undertake any professional residential painting.

Three Key Reasons Experts Need Media Coaching For TV Talk Show Interviews
Being a guest on a TV talk show or radio program is a great way to build credibility as an expert in an industry. However, it’s not as easy as many experts make it look, especially those who are well seasoned in how to interview with the television media.
Generally, this is how it works: An expert like an online entrepreneur, influencer, or possibly a non-fiction book author hires a publicist and then that publicist may succeed in booking a coveted TV interview for their client to promote their brand, product, or service.
What most of the clients don’t understand is getting booked on a TV interview is the first step and what happens next determines if a client gains the credibility they’re looking to achieve with an engaging on-camera interview or dismantles it all together if they are not prepared.
Unfortunately, many publicists will only help a client prepare with very basic media training and according to Marianne Schwab, a former national network TV talk show producer, “Some publicists do an amazing job of prepping their clients for an interview but so many do not and drop the ball. When I was working on Live daily talk shows, I’d work directly with expert guests to develop the interview segment into our show’s version of infotainment. Guests only have about four-to-five minutes to nail their topic or demo and my job was on the line if each segment wasn’t the best it could be or if a guest was a flop.”
Media coaching, also known as media training, is a valuable service that is available and essential for experts who are just starting out to get booked as guests on talk shows. Depending on the coach, they not only help clients maximize the time they have for the interview by dialing in a targeted yet engaging message, but they also prepare them to look confident on-camera. Here are three key things to know about media coaching before a scheduled TV talk show interview:
 1. Experts Make Interviewing Look Easy. The biggest secret TV viewers may not know is that even the most experienced on-camera experts prepare and rehearse for every single TV interview. Schwab says, “Think of it this way, professional baseball players don’t show up for the World Series like they’re there for batting practice.  They spend thousands of hours preparing for the big game under the guidance of their coach. TV interviews work the same way – you don’t just show up and wait for the questions to be thrown at you when you can prepare responses in advance.”
 2. Avoid Looking Like Bambi in Headlights. Media coaching is essential to learn the skills of mastering your message and time constraints of a TV interview, handling nerves, and according to Schwab, “You only have one chance to get it right when it comes to a talk show appearance and that’s where media coaching comes in. Knowing what to say when you get a curveball question so that you have a response and not a reaction is key to an on-camera delivery with poise and polish.”
 3. Skipping Media Coaching is a Recipe for an On-Camera Disaster. As a producer, Marianne Schwab’s number one goal is to make sure that when her clients get in front of the camera that they look and do their best. “Every expert that I’ve ever worked with for TV appearances invests time in preparing for each and every interview so that when the red light on the studio camera goes on, they look like they’re making it up on the spot, but what most people don’t know is that they spent hours making it look effortless. If you skip media coaching, you’re gambling with your reputation since you could derail your credibility and all you’ve worked so hard for when landing a TV interview,” she concludes.
Marianne Schwab has worked as a producer for over 25 years in New York and Los Angeles. She is currently the Executive Producer of CMP Media Cafe where she works with clients to develop compelling media hooks and story angles that get them TV and radio interviews in today’s complicated media environment. She has created an online training that shares her insider secrets to promoting a business on TV talk shows and details the types of guests producers love to book as guests.

Biblical Chronology or Rabbinic Chronology.
For them, dating online saves them time and also money. She left shortly after, citing that she wanted to spend time with her boyfriend. This allows quicker failure notifications, without waiting before the configured timeout and grace time runs. And even if you do meet someone and you’re exploring the possibility of a future together, you can sometimes wonder if there isn’t someone better suited for you out there waiting. In my view, these represent a critical piece of the future of AppSec! On the other hand, the smaller companies may have only a few people manning the systems, but they are passionate and committed. On one hand, larger companies seem like the safer option: they are less likely to shut down, and are more likely to have 24/7 staff monitoring their operations. Also called “simple” monitors, where the user specifies a period (for example, one hour). For example, Google Maps’ early appeal was not oriented around the quality of its maps, but instead (1) its fluid user-interface for accessing essentially the same data that was already available through competing platforms, (2) allowing other Web developers to build upon its maps using an API (Plantin and Powell 2016). דירות דיסקרטיות בראשון לציון  Both by hosting content created by users, and aggregating access to existing knowledge through attractive interfaces (both user-facing and programmable), platforms have become significant gatekeepers.
There are many more things to compare (Do they have an API? Which country are they based in? What has their historic uptime been like? Which one has the prettiest landing page? …), but I decided to stop here. The more you fill out your profile, the more you can show your matches who you are and why you're so desirable. Whether you are looking for tranny women to date or just some local shemales and ladyboys to hang out with we list some transgender matchmaking sites for you. Lagos, Nigeria. Born in neighboring Benin, he and his family moved to Nigeria during his childhood and went looking for opportunities in the emerging economic powerhouse of Africa's most populous nation. If you are looking for a hosted cron job monitoring service, good news: there many options to choose from! The ability to signal when a cron job execution starts. The ability organize monitored cron jobs and their associated information by project. The ability to give your team members limited access to your account. Disclaimer: I run one of the services being compared, so I’m a biased source. Slack App Directory appears to be showing the apps by their popularity, and so can be used as an indirect way to compare real-world usage of the different services.
Traveling is another relatable thing to show on your profile; connecting over cities and trips is a fun way to get the conversation started. I was nervous but he made me very comfortable and at ease ; I had a lot fun! If you’re looking for a long-lasting, serious relationship, you could find it more challenging to establish that with a younger guy. I was looking specifically for hosted, SaaS-style services. How I picked the services for comparison: I searched for “cron monitoring” on Google and picked the top results in their order of appearance. This comes handy when integrating with a services that support email status reports and nothing else. Turns out that exiftool doesn’t support writing EXIF output to webp images. 2- There are more nice people out there but there are quite a few unstable ones so ensure that you protect yourself and your identity until you are comfortable enough to meet the person.

Finally made a Q&A post answering the various questions I've gotten about my job over the years 🥰 (this is all specific to usamerican commercial airlines)
Q: How do I become a flight attendant?
A: Apply to an airline.
Q: How do I apply to an airline?
A: Go to their website's "jobs" section.
Q - Which airline should I apply for?
A: There are thousands of airlines all over the world. Apply to all of them, or none of them. Do some research on them beforehand-- where are their bases? What's their starting pay? What airlines do they get flight benefits with? Where in the world do they fly?-- or don't.
Q: I want to be a flight attendant, but I'm terrified of flying!
A: Don't become a flight attendant. I work up to 4 flights a day. You may spend up to 14 or 15 hours in the air--longer for some long haul flights. If you hate flying, don't become a flight attendant. I cannot stress this enough.
Q: Do you need a degree to become a flight attendant?
A: No.
Q: Do you need experience to become a flight attendant?
A: No.
Q: How do I stop being a nervous flyer?
A: I've never been a nervous flyer so I have no idea. When I'm terrified of doing something but still want to do it, I usually just...do it and mentally muscle my way through. Maybe take some pills to help sleep on the plane, or study how planes work so it isn't such a scary mystery.
Q: Can I use you as a reference?
A: ????? I don't know you???? So no lol.
Q: What are the pros of being a flight attendant?
A: Free air travel, as well as huge discounts on things like hotels and rental cars. Cute uniforms, depending on the airline. Getting to meet and talk to people from all over the world, everyday. Getting paid to see the world. Everyday is something new. Free toilet paper (stolen from hotels) for life.
Q: What are the cons of being a flight attendant?
A: Being a cog in a very unforgiving industry. Ugly uniforms, depending on the airline. You're never home so it's hard to build relationships with locals. Also difficult to keep plants alive for the same reason. The job takes over your life and is very exhausting. Sometimes (many times) you're too tired to actually see the city you're staying in, and our work hours make it hard to develop a real sleep schedule. Eating on the road is expensive. You miss a lot of personal things (family dinners and holidays etc) because you don't have control over your schedule, and your schedule is never set in stone.
Q: Do you get paid during boarding and deplaning?
A: No.
Q: Do female/fem presenting flight attendants have to wear makeup and dresses?
A: No.
Q: Do female/fem presenting flight attendants have to wear high heels?
A: #Not all airlines.
Q: Can you be a flight attendant if you have tattoos?
A: Yes, as long as you can cover them.
Q: Are you ever scared during take off?
A: No. It's like pulling out of the driveway, to me.
Q: I want to be a flight attendant, but I'm bad under pressure!
A: Don't become a flight attendant.
Q: I want to be a flight attendant, but I don't like people!
A: Don't become a flight attendant.
Q: I want to be a flight attendant, but I hate the idea of not knowing where I'm going to be every night!
A: Don't become a flight attendant.
Q: What's something you wish you had known before becoming a flight attendant?
A: How to meal prep, and how to enforce a sleep schedule.
Q: What's the pay like?
A: It depends on the airline.
Q: Any advice for someone thinking of becoming a flight attendant?
A: Look up reviews from people who work/worked at the airline you're considering. glassdoor.com is good for that.
Q: How long does the process of becoming a flight attendant usually take?
A: It depends on the airline. I've known people who have been waiting to hear back for over a year, while mine took about one week to get back to me. Ground school typically lasts anywhere from one to three months.
Q: I want to become a flight attendant but I don't want to move!
A: Look for airlines with a crew base in your city. You can also always commute, which means you just fly from your local airport to your base before your trips, and then fly home afterwards. I commuted for my first year.
Q: Have you always been based in Philly?
A: I've been based in D.C., Charlotte and Philly.
Q: What's your favorite place you've been to for work?
A: The Bahamas.
Q: How long do you get in each city?
A: It depends on the day. For U.S. flying, it can be 12 hours or more. For international flying, it has to be a minimum of 24 hours.
Q: How many flights do you work in a day?
A: Typically 1 to 4. The most I've worked in one day was 7.
Q: What's a flight attendant's real job?
A: Our "real" job is multifaceted. Yes, we pass out drinks and snacks and do a safety demonstration. Those are real parts of our job. But we're also trained first responders; if the cabin catches on fire, we have to put it out. If someone has a medical emergency, we have to treat them. If someone gets violent, we have to incapacitate them. If everyone has to evacuate, we direct the evacuation.
Q: But how often do emergencies like that really happen?
A: More than you think, because they usually end okay so they don't really make headlines. In my first 3.5 years of flight attending, I had 5 emergencies (3 medical and 2 mechanical). Each time, everyone was fine.
Q: How did you become a flight attendant?
A: I applied to an airline.
Q: Why did you become a flight attendant?
A: Originally I got the idea because I was writing a story about a flight attendant and wanted it to be as realistic as possible, which I believed necessitated more hands-on research.
Q: Did you ever write the story about the flight attendant?
A: No, joke's on me.

Ink Drinker / Modern Vikings AU [Ivar x F!Reader], Chapter 6
catch up here!
synopsis: Ivar was only meant to be a friend with benefits, but he caught feelings for his older brother’s best friend, and co-worker: you.
pairing: Ivar x F!Reader
***content warning [PLEASE READ]: this chapter has the after effect of the trauma call, and too many emotions. surgical mentions and medical terminology are in this chapter as well. anything in italics indicates a flash back.
author’s note: I’m so sorry.
 ~
“Floki, why can I be left alone?” Ivar asked.
“Because the last time you were left alone you ended up with fifty thousand milligrams of pain killers in your stomach. Now, come here—do you know this?” Floki replied with his fingers taping the photo copied image.
“I drew that.” Ivar said back.
“Yes, you did. Where do you want it?”
“What do you mean?”
“You hate your body so much why don’t you cover it in something you like?”
*
It is sixteen hours that Ivar is in surgery. His world is dark, nothing but, with pierces of noises that he can recall. But trying to decipher them only makes the surroundings dull, caked in black and muffled with a buzz of an unruly bee hive. There are pokes of pain, he remembers the green light, and he remembers the pot hole he swerved to miss. He doesn’t remember how fast he was driving and the second he was over the yellow line made no difference for the sudden beast of a truck to find him.
Everything below Ivar’s powdered knee caps are reattached. Grueling hours on the table while he’s sewed back together like a monster. Enough time for Hvitserk to get clothes, to get you clothes, to pack a bag for his brother per your request. Even in the presence of clean laundry you can’t take your blues off yet—they’re holding you proper because you just saw Ivar that morning. You two made love in the low morning light, filled with ecstasy, his seed and then he made you eggs with extra hot sauce and hugged you tightly you were sure you stopped breathing. He told you to be safe, baby, like he did at the dawn of each shift and that he would call you when his last appointment was finished, and on his way back from shopping for supplies for the parlor and that you two would make lunch plans. In his speed, his haste to make sure he didn’t miss you before the two tone song of death would sing in the radios, he instead, became the reason it did.
Your chief shows up when you tell him the nature of the emergency. Pulling additional personnel on for overtime and they take the rig out of service and from your hands. Words don’t spare any differences and although he offers you a hug, when you take it he slips you a piece of paper.
“Remember the job you’re doing. And the change you’re making.” He whispers in your ear and you look at the folded sheet. It’s a photocopy of a poorly drawn fire truck with an even worse sketched stick figure, and you had scribbled it when you were five. Back when you met chief for the first time because now you hold the same badge number your father once did.
“If I give you your Dad’s old badge number, are you going to act like a jack ass like him?”
“I can’t make any promises chief.”
“I have a partner in mind for you, you’ll like him. He’s a good kid. A good medic.”
“This good kid got a name?”
“Yeah, Hvitserk. I’ll introduce the two of you.”
This is the call that shapes you as a medic, as a provider, and changes how you see things. This is the call that sends a new person out into the street, whether Ivar lives or not. This is the call that forever holds terror in your heart because he was laying in the back of your ambulance, and that was the one spot you never wanted him to occupy.
Aslaug walks through the doors and she’s already two tissues deep into a soggy mess. Hugging Hvitserk and hugging you and you wish you were meeting this woman for the first time under any other circumstance. Floki thanks you and you don’t quite know why, even though the words fall heavily and un-calming, he still thanks you. And when the surgeon returns before the four of you, you’re the only one that doesn’t stand. But he calls your name because you know him, he was lab staff that tested you for your certifications and he told you that you’ll make a damn good medic one day.
“Remember what I said on the day of your exam?” He asks and you nod, puzzled and impatient looks on the other faces. “You are a damn good medic—you both are.” He adds, eyes jumping from yours to your partners. “And it shows on this call, of all of them.” Hvitserk’s shoulder nudges you and you only nudge him back, perhaps little too hard in your delirious state. “Essentially what we did, was replant the lower portion of each leg. Now, given the extent of his injuries and how his body handles such, I don’t have a clear cut answer for you on his overall mobility. He may need to have screws implanted, he may need prosthetics. He’s going to be in the ICU for the next 48 hours for constant monitoring. We’ll have him sedated so his body can focus on what’s at stake. He’ll need physical therapy for a long time, and he’ll likely be disabled for the rest of his life, given again, how his body handles this. It’ll be a long road. But, like I said—you two are damn good medics and that is the one reason his legs were able to be saved. I will let you know when he’s moved to the ICU.”
You look back at your partner and his face is as blank as yours; influx of emotions just ready to dive from the void but your minds are still churning, still processing all of what boomed from the doctor’s mouth. Ivar’s chance at returning to a normal life was resting in your hands and you two gave the best damn efforts and they worked. The countless hours of dissection, wondering if you’re cut out for this career, these responsibilities, hours of trauma and blood and vomit all fizzle away because you now know that you are. And it just took Ivar to prove it.
When your eyes open again there’s a sharp pierce in your temple, scrunching eyes together and slowly moving, your head rises from Floki’s shoulder and the lights in the ICU have dimmed in the late hour. Impressions stood between his nostrils, falling like petals over his cheekbones, bleeding through split brows and pink flowers through the depths of his neck. His chest sinking and fainting with time, there was a moment of deafening silence when you are looking at his body; seemingly so small under the contraptions. The depths of earth, and the worst hell was seeing him lay on this cot. He’s only sedated now, even though Ivar looked of death, he was still alive under the harvest of wires. The words of how “we’re doing all that we can” do not bring any more comfort, they just take Ivar like a wave rapidly back out to sea. And now you understand how your patients, and their families feel when you speak the same phrases to them. The clinical assessments do not stop a rigorous schedule, motoring for the possible failure. The room is kept warm, and every so often when you will yourself to peek in, you can see the sheen of sweat that’s over Ivar’s forehead, dancing across his chest under the stickers, the monitors. The capillary refill on his toes show promise, and when the nurse says that to her doctor, you find yourself attempting the same motions on your thumb nail. Pressing the pink away and making room for the white, and then in a quick release, the pink swarms back. The ultra sound machines reminds you of the new equipment in your rig as it assess arterial blood flow every hour.
IV bags drip, slow and agonize and the change of wrappings, dressings and cleaning of both the limbs and Ivar himself collect. You spend hours watching the fluid levels sink, his eyes flutter, his fingers in his hand dance and you grow cold because you just want to hold him. To lock him in a steel tower and to constantly remind him how strong he is, because you know the longest road will not come from learning to walk. It will come from Ivar trying to find that he is worthy to live on.
Blackness had retired across your cheeks, wrapping a veil of makeup that melted into battle scars and you could not move if your body depended on it. Aslaug sits next to you; she takes her time wiping the makeup off from under your eyes, the soiled mascara and she’s humming to you. She had been telling you how when Ivar was young, she would sing to him and it would calm him down. How she sang to him in the hospital after he tried to overdose, tubes pumping his stomach as she blamed herself for such wrong doing. How Hvitserk blamed himself because he gave no one a warning cry. And how she’s singing to Ivar now, even though he can’t hear it, because it comforts the three of you as a whole.
When your eyes follow the nurse into the room, you can hear her say something to Ivar and you watch his head turn in confusion. Grogginess and a fog on his brain as she talks to him like it’s a normal conversation; wishing him a good morning, how the weather looks promising for a beautiful day and you wish you had that level of bed side manner. You never get the promising parts of the journey; you get the patients that are coding and in a rush to the life saving team in the hospital. You love the ones who tell you their entire live’s story in the back of the rig on the way to the emergency room, sharing details and calming your mind with how simple, and yet how different every walk of life is. The nurse says something about you, about Hvitserk and Aslaug and Floki, out and waiting and ready to see him when he’s fit. You wave through the glass and there’s the tease of a smirk on Ivar’s face, even in his slightly sedated state. A dastardly, bastard smirk and his hand lifts off the bed slightly, wiggling his fingers back to you. The tears start up again, pounding a sledge hammer through your skull after all of the unruly pressure and messes of crying as your body tries to go numb.
“Where’s my mom?” You hear Ivar say in a voice that muted slightly as the nurse stands in the door way to exit. “Can I see my mom?” And the nurse nods. Aslaug stands and kisses your hair line as she walks into the vicinity, Ivar watching her and you need to back up, you need to walk away from the room, this hall way and this battle. A faint wheeze goes through your chest and Floki catches it first before Hvitserk has a chance to lift his head and open his eyes.
“Let’s walk, dear,” Floki says and his voice is not authoritative but it still demands you to comply as he loops an arm around your shoulder. “Walking can help to clear the mind.” It’s your first time outside in almost three days, and the sunlight burns you like you had been its victim on a sand covered shoreline for one too many hours. The hospital grounds are manicured, they’re neat and arranged with an abundance of flowers and colors in the open air but everything to you still feels so dull and lifeless, pointless and hopeless and walking only churns your thoughts to double, triple in size like a snow ball rolling down a hill.
You’re finally allowed in to see Ivar and you approach slowly, like touching him will seer you suddenly, stain you with a unremovable pattern and you’ll forever be reminded. His blue eyes are dull and groggy when they open, the nasal cannula wrapping his face and your eyes dance over the scurf collecting on his jaw, and the faint bruising, cuts and scrapes on his skin.
“Hey baby,” His voice rasps and you kneel by the bed, tears already on their journeys to streak your tried skin and Ivar’s needle poked, IV covered arm comes to wipe what he can reach. “You were there, weren’t you?” And you can only nod, eyes still damp and you relish in the touch he gives you only if it’s for a second. “You saved my life, baby,” Ivar finally adds and that makes the whimper start again, the choke of a sob in your throat and he tries to quiet you, slithering a quick noise from his lips and you rest your head against the bed, his hand still on your hair.
“I drove the ambulance over a hundred miles an hour,” You finally say and they’re the first words you can use to process the trauma you two had lived through together.
“That’s my girl,” Ivar smiles, speaking with a voice that sounds like sandpaper.
“I love you Ivar—no matter what happens, I love you so much,”
“I love you too, Y/N,” Ivar says and his voice is weaker now and he needs rest. “Kiss me before you go?” He says with eyes scanning your face, and you can’t deny that now. Pressing your lips softly against his, your hands cupping his cheek and you hope it’s not the last kiss you’ll ever get from him. “I’m not going anywhere, baby,” Ivar tells you. “I’m afraid. But I’m not going anywhere,” You nod as he speaks, a forehead against his for a second and his hand is still trying to reach on you where he can. This is the man that would pull the tubes and the wires from his chest if he could, if that would make him get closer to you. “You’re stuck with me,” And there’s a faint snicker after his words, weak and drowned out from the normal tone but you’ll take it after not hearing his voice for three days.
“I’m stuck with you,” You say back with a small smile. But it still doesn’t bring enough hope.

imperial life (sorta)
life within the empire is very structured. it’s a society where everyone Knows Their Place and what they’re supposed to be doing.
for ex. there is a certain “life schedule” that imperial citizens are expected to adhere to.
ages:
0-5, raised by family as infants. sent to daycare during toddler years.
5-10, primary school. begin basic education.
10-15, junior school. continue education.
15-20, senior school. start some training alongside education.
20-25/30, MANDATORY SERVICE TIME.
25/30+, marriage and having children encouraged and you can live your life.
now after an individual completes their mandatory time actively serving, they can either continue to serve or return to other jobs and functions in the empire.
so you can have someone who was a foot soldier or sniper during their service time, but then return to “civilian” life as a florist or school teacher.
the sith follow a similar “life schedule”.
ages:
0-5, raised by family and like minded peer groups.
5-10, primary academy. basic training and education.
10-15, secondary academy. continued training and education.
15-20, preparatory academy. continued training and education.
20+, sith academy (proper) and from there, it depends on the individual sith’s master and rank.
tho the purebloods have a tendency to marry their children off after at the age of 20 (or young 20s) in hopes of procuring grandchildren (and therefore, securing family legacies) before anything... unfortunate happens.
another aspect of imperial life that is deeply entrenched within the civilization but never talked about too openly is the caste system.
everyone in the empire, sith or slave, is shoved into one of these castes. it is possible to move UP and DOWN. moving upward requires marrying someone of a higher caste, but ppl usually (tho not always!) stick to and marry within their own castes. moving down tends involves committing a crime and being punished for it, or disownment from family.
there are certain advantages of being a part of upper castes. which include, but are not limited to:
wider access on the holonet
higher pay
more options for housing
priority healthcare
less restrictions on travel
etc.
the two main groups the castes fall into are sith and imperial. obvs the sith castes are above the imperial ones.
castes among the sith are categorized by “blood purity” and family lineages. the older, purer bloodlines that can trace their roots to korriban are seen above sith who might not have such a heritage.
pureblood, greater families
pureblood, lesser families
human, greater families (usually have some pureblood family members as well)
human, lesser families (usually all human)
human, common (usually an individual that comes from a non-sith background that found sensitivity in the force)
alien
imperial castes on the other hand are categorized by “occupation” rather than bloodlines.
officers. self explanatory. within this caste the officers follow the rank order. ie, moff > captain.
healers. ppl who can help and heal others. doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, etc.
scholars. those who spend their time studying, researching, or teaching. scientists, philosophers, lawyers, professors, etc.
protectors. internal security of the empire. police type, firefighters, paramedics, emergency responders, imperial intelligence, etc.
farmers. self explanatory, also includes breeders (for fancy pets and vanity animals).
crafters. for those who MAKE or design things. artists, architects, engineers, cooks, tailors, etc.
traders. folks who buy and sell things or deal with money frequently. business people, vendors, bank folk, accountants etc.
entertainers. mostly performers of some type. actors, musicians, athletes, sex workers, etc.
cleaners. those who deal with trash or bodies. janitors, butchers, housekeepers, manicurists, waste management, groomers, etc.
casteless. ironically named, but still technically a caste. includes non citizens that may be visiting or traveling through, new imperial citizens, or disowned (usually non force sensitive) sith.
slaves. self explanatory.
in the old, old sith empire (pre arrival of exiles), the sith also had a ruler and priest caste. it can be argued that the two were simply merged into the modern sith grouping and all of their castes within.
as far as any that might be lawmakers and where they’d fit in. that’d be the dark council with some occasional input from very high ranking officers like the grand moff.
so in theory(!), anyone can move up or down the caste ladder. in reality it’s very rare and ppl are often born into one caste and simply live their life within its confines and die. but ppl across the entire caste system can and do work together frequently.
an ex is the sw and crew.
Tumblr media
akrona is not only sith, but a pureblood from a greater family. making her one of the most privileged and (potentially) influential ppl in the empire.
quinn comes from a family of officers and they’ve all been at the relative top of imperial society for generations. even after his court martial he’s considered to be very lucky to have remained in the same caste.
Tumblr media
pierce actually comes from farmers but managed to be promoted to an officer during his time in service. but since he wasn’t born into it, quinn some officers have an obvious bias against him for his position.
vette, being a freed slave is casteless. tho thx to having a sith benefactor and friend, she can get away with a lot more than others within her same social standing.
some notes under the read more since i KNOW you ppl don’t go to the op to read my darn tags! >,< lol
so... i know. i KNOW i didn’t list literally every single conceivable job that exist or could exist. you’ll have to excuse me on that lol.
and in case it wasn’t obvious, yes, i used my sw and my own hcs for the crew. NO, i am NOT saying that quinn dislikes pierce ONLY bc of “lower caste upbringing”. just that it’s one of many factors of tension between the two.
and regardless of caste, every citizen* in the empire is guaranteed food, shelter, water, and medical care. but obvs those in the upper castes would be eating the fanciest~ of feasts in their big ass floating mansions while the lower castes live off of ration bars and street food while living in small, utilitarian apartments. *does not include slaves since they are technically not citizens.
i am once again here to remind you that the empire is NOT
a democracy
capitalist
or a utopia
(but if for some reason you wanna make your empire all those things, go for it. i ain’t stopping you lol.)
but why castes?
bc it was an aspect of the ancient sith In Canon and thought i’d tinker with the concept.
Tumblr media
lastly! i stfg...
IF YOU THINK ME MAKING A HC/WORLDBUILDING POST REFLECTS UPON MY MORALITY OR HOW I THINK A SOCIETY SHOULD BE RUN...
YOU HAVE NEXT LVL BRAIN ROT.
also, yes, you can use any/all concepts in whatever way you see fit if you want. you can also, ignore the whole thing!

every single student in the world has likely procrastinated at some point - i know i definitely have! sometimes i think it can be quite helpful because means that you don't spend every minute of every day studying... but on the other hand, it can become very hard to beat. there are so many advice posts in the community on this topic but i thought that i would share my own tips!
disclaimer: everyone studies differently and these are my personal tips. they may not work for you but they can be a good starting point
What is Procrastination?
i found this little summary of procrastinating on the internet and thought it completely covered everything that i wanted to say on this point:
Procrastination is the habit of delaying an important task, usually by focusing on less urgent, more enjoyable, and easier activities instead. It is different from laziness, which is the unwillingness to act.
Procrastination can restrict your potential and undermine your career. It can also disrupt teamwork, reduce morale, and even lead to depression and job loss. So, it's crucial to take proactive steps to prevent it.
The first step to overcoming procrastination is to recognize that you're doing it. Then, identify the reasons behind your behavior and use appropriate strategies to manage and overcome it.
- How to Stop Procrastinating by Mindtools
so what is learnt from this is that:
procrastination is not being lazy
it is avoiding tasks by doing other easier tasks
it can have negative effects
you need to proactively take steps to avoid it
first, recognise the procrastinating then use strategies to break the cycle
Conventional Tips
these are the basic tips that are some of the most well-known strategies for ending procrastination and can be some of the most important steps!
1. get organised. tidy up your desk to study space because there is nothing worse than having to work in a place that is chaotic and mess. collect the information you need for the task, for example, notes you've made or a textbook.
2. to-do lists are your friend. a lot of people (including me) really struggle with timetables for studying because it can seem really structured and there is no flexibility or real allowance for things that may crop up during the day (your food takes longer to cook, you have to unexpectedly do a task around the house, you get a really bad headache and need to take a break). in my opinion, to-do lists help solve this problem! you can clearly see the tasks that you want to get done for the day but you don't have stressful time constraints. personally, i always use todoist to keep track of everything. to-do lists also make it easier to break tasks down
3. break the task down. one of the biggest cause of procrastination is having a huge task or project ahead of you because it seems really daunting and where on earth are you even going to start? so break it down *completely*. in your to-do list, don't just write ‘german homework’, write down even task that you need to do within it and be specific: for example ‘pg. 11 ex 4a, 4b and 4c’, ‘textbook listening task on pg. 47′ and ‘250-word essay on social media in Germany’. breaking it down makes the tasks seem more attainable and when you’ve done one and you can cross it off your list, it gives you a boost to keep going
4. eliminate distractions. this is a big one. even if you do all of the above, if you are constantly being distracted by things, you aren't going to get much done. try to find a place that is quiet enough that you can focus and you feel comfortable studying in. as well as this you need to think about what to do with your phone as the likelihood is that this will be the most distracting thing. you can simply turn it off, put on do not disturb, leave it in another room or use and app like forest (that last one is what i use and i don't know where i would be without it!)
5. use incentives. finishing a task is an achievement so treat it like one! before you study, decide on something that you will give yourself as a reward for doing it. this may be watching that new episode of your favourite programme or a tasty snack!
6. set timers. don't just launch yourself into a task, because that again can make it seem daunting and feel unending. rather, set a timer for a specific time because you’ll know that you just need to focus for that specific length of time and then you can go take a break and do something nice. for timing your study sessions, you could use the Pomodoro technique
7. allow for breaks (but try to avoid long ones). you are not a machine and as much as it would be great to be able to, you cant study for hours on end without giving your mind a break from focusing. so schedule in break time for yourself, particularly for times that you know your motivation dips, and do something nice. but be very careful that you don't accidentally slip back into procrastinating habits and keep breaks short. unless you are very disciplined it is unlikely that an hour-long break will stay just an hour.
8. know how you study but don’t be afraid to mix it up. everyone studies differently and so there are going to be some study methods that work better for some than others. so try to make sure that you are studying smart and that you aren't wasting your own time cause that can be incredibly unmotivating. HOWEVER, if there is anything that I’ve learnt from online school its that doing the same task all the time, every day is mind-numbingly boring and you just want to do anything else. so try to switch up what you are doing. if you usually just type notes from the textbook, maybe try doing it in a mindmap one week, or on flashcards, maybe do some practise questions to keep your mind engaged.
9. play music. now this one really depends on the person and how you study. some people need absolute silence and that is fine, but others need something to fill the silence or maybe cover up background noise (for example if you live in a busy household). try to pick music however that is not going to distract you - the key tips for this is to pick music without lyrics. this can be classical music, video game music, or general ‘chill’ music (there are so many playlists out there for chill studying music). i personally listen to Francesco Parrino religiously while studying because he does piano covers of pop songs, so i know the songs and enjoy them but there are no lyrics that can distract me
10. stay hydrated, well-rested and not hungry. this is part of eliminating distractions because if you are thirsty, you are going to be thinking about how you want a drink; if you are tired, you are going to be thinking about how tired you are; if you are hungry, you are going to be thinking about what you want for lunch or whatever. make sure you are hydrated, well-rested and not hungry so you can focus solely on your task or work.
Unconventional Tips
these are some slightly more unusual tips that you might not have seen before but that I've nevertheless found very useful!
1. video yourself or do a timelapse. this is something that I’ve only recently done because i saw a tip on this from someone during my quarantine challenge and thought that it would be cool to do. and it really works! i did it twice once when i was typing notes and a second time when i was handwriting notes and it really made me focus on what is as doing because the video put some pressure on me to look like i was properly studying - i could take a 5-minute break in the middle of my work to mess around with my pen, I just had to keep going so it really forces you to do the work. also watching the video when i was done made me really proud cause i had visual proof of how much i completed!
2. accept that some days you are going to get very little done. this may seem a little bit odd to put on a post that is meant to avoid getting nothing done but it’s actually a very important thing to remember. sometimes you need to take days off because otherwise you are going to burnout and some days you are just not going to be in the right mindset for studying because maybe you are exhausted after a big exam, or you have a headache or you feel unwell. you just need to accept it, draw a line under it, take time for yourself, and resolve yourself to work tomorrow once you feel a bit better. there is no shame in taking time to make sure you stay healthy. if you can, try to get your quickest, easiest task done so you have some sense of accomplishment.
3. ‘churn it out and f**k off’. this was my mum’s motto when she was studying and working in academia. and she recently told it to me when i was getting stressed about all the big tasks during online school. i am a perfectionist and i always want to hand in my very best work, put 100% into everything, but honestly that is impossible. some days you just need to get stuff done and if that isn't your very best then it doesn't matter too much because at least you got it done. and once you get it done you can just forget about it.
4. ask a friend or parent to check up on you. when you are studying by yourself it can be hard to motivate yourself because you know that no ones actually going to check whether you made those votes or did the reading, so ask a friend or someone you live with to check whether you've done the work or get them to read essays. you then get an external reason to study or do your tasks because you need to show them something.
5. rephrase how you think of tasks. when you think that ‘you need to do this task’ or ‘you have to get this done’, a lot of the time this causes unneeded stress and anxiety that is not going to help you at all. also it makes it seem like you are being forced to do something and human beings generally don't act great when they are forced to do something. so try to change your language when thinking about task into one that is more forgiving such as ‘i choose to do this project so that i can go meet my friends tomorrow’ and ‘i choose to read this book now because it will help me in the lecture next week’. this is probably the most difficult strategy on this list and it will take a lot of practice (i am certainly still practising it) but in the long term, it can help you change the way in which you view studying for the better.
✨✨✨
i hope this was helpful and that these tips will be useful, and perhaps you've discovered some new ones! if anyone has anything to add please feel free to reply or reblog with the advice <3

My Muse, My Valentine [Christen Press x Reader]
Tumblr media
requested by anon: Not sure if you’re accepting any request but can you write a cp x photographer gf where her gf surprised her at man u, like her gf secretly transfer there to be with cp. Thanks
A/N: please ignore some of the inconsistencies this story has with reality :) but anyways... hope you enjoy and have a happy Valentine’s Day (tomorrow) and remember it’s a day about LOVE, whether that be romantic, platonic, familial, or self ❤️
“I’m gonna miss you,” you whine, as you watch your girlfriend pack her suitcase.
“I know, babe. I’m gonna miss you too, so much.” Christen leans down to quickly peck your lips, before continuing to fold her clothes.
You and Christen had been dating for almost three years now, having met after you’d photographed one of the USWNT’s matches. You instantly felt an attraction to the curly-haired forward, your camera always drifting towards her wherever she was on the pitch.
After you’d posted a couple of your photos on your Instagram, which Christen made a point to like and repost, you gathered up the courage to approach her after a game, and thus began your relationship.
With yours and Christen’s busy schedules, it was sometimes hard to find time for each other, but you made it work, sharing an apartment in Portland during the offseason and flying out for matches when you could. But being a sports photographer did have its benefits, as your work often led you to spending more time with your girlfriend and admiring her speed down the field and score goals.
But now, with the pandemic, as the NWSL was struggling to field games,  you found yourself with little work. Christen herself was not quite satisfied with the league’s plan for the season, so when Tobin proposed the idea of going to the WSL, she desperately wanted to, yearning to get back on the pitch.
At first, when Christen approached you with the subject, you immediately opposed, not wanting to be so far from your girlfriend for such a long amount of time. Additionally, with COVID, it would be nearly, if not completely, impossible for you to visit. But after a blowout fight and discussing it further, you realized that this is what would be best for Christen and her career.
“Do you have to go?” You pout, sitting up and moving to the end of the bed.
“You know I do, (Y/N/N).” Christen playfully rolls her eyes.
“Humph.”
“Babe, come on, don’t make me feel worse about leaving you.”
“Then don’t,” you quip, grabbing your girlfriend by the waist, pulling her down on the bed with you.
“Babe!” Christen squeals, as you blow raspberries into her skin.
You lift your head from the crook of her neck, your eyes locking with hers. “I know that you have to go,” you admit seriously. “Doesn’t mean I like it, but I know that this is what’s best for your career.”
“Thank you, (Y/N),” she says earnestly, giving you a small smile. “We’ll text and FaceTime everyday.”
“I’m holding you to that.” You cup her face and bring her in for a kiss, savoring the feeling of her soft lips on yours. “I also know that you’re gonna kill it over there in Manchester. The WSL isn’t gonna know what hit them.”
Christen ducks her bashfully, a small blush arising on her cheeks. “You know I love you, right?”
“Of course, Chris. I love you, too.”
“Good.” She gives you a quick peck, as she gets up from the bed. “Now, either quit bothering me or help me. My flight is early tomorrow morning, and I haven’t even finished packing.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
—————
It had been a little over five months since you’d dropped Christen off at the airport and she left for Manchester. Despite the constant texting and the nightly FaceTime calls, you couldn’t help but ache for your girlfriend. Without her, the apartment was lonelier and the bed felt bigger.
It had helped that your work had started back up, first with some freelance work and then with the NWSL fall series starting, which gave you something to do and kept you fairly busy.
Currently, you were sitting at the kitchen counter, sipping on a cup of coffee, as you edited some photos for the Thorns. Just as you were saving your work and closing Lightroom, about to shut your computer, a ping alerts a new email in your inbox.
Switching tabs, you notice the message is from an unfamiliar address, so you presume it’s a new client. You click and open it, your eyes widening, as you scan the email:
Ms. (Y/L/N),
I noticed your professional portfolio through many referrals, particularly your work form the World Cup. I am writing on behalf of the BBC News Media Centre, and we’re looking for an excellent sports photographer to join the team, specifically to cover the FA Women’s Super League and the Premier League.
Your experience is outstanding, adn your work speaks for itself. I think you’d be a great fit for this role, and I’d love to tell you more about it and hear more from you.
Would you like to set up a phone or Zoom call soon? If so, let me know when you’re available.
Best,
Charles Smith
Director of Media Relations at BBC Sport
You quickly reread the email, and then reread it again, just to make sure you’re not dreaming. This was too good to be true. But you shake yourself out of your stupor and quickly type out a response to set up a phone call as soon as possible.
After hitting send, you shut your computer with excitement and throw your hands up in the air.
“Yes!” You exclaim into the empty apartment, as you throw your fist in the air and jump off the barstool.
Knowing you needed to distract yourself, otherwise you’d just be staring at your computer, eagerly awaiting the response, you decided to go on a run.
Jogging through the city, you think of your girlfriend and your potential reunion if this job offer worked out. You decided that if you did in fact take this position, you’d surprise Christen at one of her matches, hopefully one that you’d be able to photograph.
As soon as you arrive back in your apartment, you make a beeline for your laptop. You anxiously open your inbox and beam when you see Charles had replied to set up a Zoom call at 9:30 tomorrow morning. You excitedly type out pleasantries, telling him you’re looking forward to it.
For the rest of the afternoon, you were in an increasingly good mood. So later that evening, when Christen called you for your routine FaceTime, she could tell something was up.
“Why do you keep smiling like that?”
“Can I not be happy to talk to my girlfriend?” You tease, a huge grin plastered onto your face.
“You can,” Christen trails off, not quite believing you. “But you have the weird giddy look you get when something’s up?”
“Nothing’s up. Just had a good day,” you shrug nonchalantly.
“Okay,” the forward accepts, still eyeing you suspiciously. “Anyways, you know She Believes is in a couple weeks, are you working the tournament?”
“Yup,” you nod and make a mental note to mention that to Charles tomorrow.
The two of you continue updating each other, chatting about topics ranging from what you had for breakfast that day to re-inc’s upcoming drop.
“Alright,” Christen yawns. “I think I’m gonna call it a night.”
You check your phone and see it’s 5:37 pm, meaning it’s almost midnight in Manchester.
“Okay,” your eyes softening at the sight of your sleepy girlfriend. “Good night, Chris. I love you.”
“Love you, too, babe. G’night.”
After ending the call and shutting your laptop, you head into the kitchen to make some dinner for yourself, getting on with your evening.
—————
The next morning, you anxiously await for Charles to begin the Zoom call, nervously bouncing your knee and biting your lip.
“Hi, (Y/N),” Charles greets, his face appearing on your screen.
“Good morning. Or rather good afternoon?” You correct with a light chuckle, to which he reciprocates.
“Well, as you know from my email, we are looking for a photographer to join our team, and from many referrals, you seem to be a very good candidate,
“So, I was thinking maybe we could look at your portfolio really quickly and then hash out the logistics to see if this is something that could work out.”
“Sounds good,” you agree, as you pull up some of your best pictures and share your screen.
The two of you look through your photos, many from the 2019 World Cup, some of the Olympics, and a few from random NWSL games.
“Well, (Y/N), your work is quite impressive. If you’re ready, and you’re seriously interested in this position, we can talk specifics, scheduling, all that good stuff,” Charles offers.
“I’m definitely interested, but can I just preface by saying that my girlfriend is a major part of this decision, so depending on what she wants to do at the end of the season will impact my contract.”
“Oh?” He raises his eyebrows, clearly not expecting your candor. “Your girlfriend plays in the WSL?”
“Yeah, well, technically only for this season. Her contract is up in May,” you explain.
“(Y/N), to be completely frank, we’re looking to hire because a couple of our photographers had some personal issues due to COVID and had to leave mid-season,” Charles reveals. “So if it turns out that your girlfriend wants to go back to the NWSL, then we can work that out. And if she wants to stay, and you end up liking it here and you fit in well, we can also work that out. We’re pretty flexible.”
You sigh in relief, giving him a small smile. “Wow, thank you so much. So what would my contract look like?”
“Well, we can sign you to three month contract with the option for extension,” he offers, as you nod along enthusiastically.
“That sounds great,” you exclaim, beaming. “And just to let you know, I’ve already signed on to work the She Believes tournament from the 18th to the 21st.”
“That actually aligns with the WSL’s international break, and there are a couple Premier League matches that weekend, but I think we can manage, so that shouldn’t be an issue.”
“You guys are too kind and so flexible. I really appreciate it so much,” you say earnestly.
“It’s really just us being desperate for a good photographer,” Charles jokes.
“Either way, I’m grateful for this opportunity.”
“We’re excited for you to join our team,” he reciprocates. “So, in terms of when you’ll begin, I honestly would like you to come over as soon as possible so that you can get settled and get acclimated.”
“I am honestly ready to start whenever you’ll have me.”
“How about next week? The Manchester Derby is on Friday, and honestly, given your portfolio, I’d love you to photograph that match,” the British man admits.
“That’s perfect!” You were in complete awe of how perfectly everything was working out. Photographing a Man United match as your first job meant you could surprise Christen, maybe as an early Valentine’s gift.
“Great,” Charles smiles.
The two of you discuss and finalize your contract and the logistics of you starting the job. Once everything’s settled and you each have the information you need, you wrap up the call.
“Well, thank you so much, Charles, for this offer, and I can’t wait to see you next Tuesday.”
“I can’t wait to work with you and meet you. See you next week. Cheers.”
After ending the Zoom call, you begin to make a COVID test appointment, book your flight, and arrange your hotel room for the few days that Christen doesn’t know you’re there, preparing yourself for moving across the world.
—————
After landing in London, getting settled into your hotel, and meeting with the BBC team and the other photographers, you were now on your way to the Manchester Derby.
In the back of the black cab, you pull out your phone to text a good luck text to Christen.
It was difficult to keep your surprise a secret, especially when you were actually in England, because it was much more difficult to FaceTime without her noticing your change in setting. You had to make up the excuse that you were swarmed with editing and preparing for the upcoming Thorns trainings.
As you pull up to the Academy Stadium, you hear your phone ding.
Chris ❤️
Thanks babe. Miss and love you 😘
You quickly type out a response, before heading into the building.
(Y/N/N) 💗
Love you too. I miss u too but go kick butt.
The match was exhilarating. Not only were you a sports photographer, but you were also a huge fan of the game, enjoying a good game when you see one.
You watched in awe, the level and style of play significantly different from than NWSL. While snapping hundreds of photos of both teams, your camera would always somehow land back on your girlfriend.
Your heart ached for the curly-haired forward, as you missed her dearly. Until you saw her back on the pitch, you hadn’t really realized that you missed watching her play the game that she’d mastered, her movements around the pitch and on the ball effortless and elegant.
As the ref blew the whistle, signaling the end of the half, you scroll through some of the photos you’d taken, deleting some of the blurry and unfocussed ones.
A smile immediately forms on your face when you see a picture of Christen during warmups with a huge grin on her face. You spend all of halftime editing said photo and putting together an Instagram post for your girlfriend.
About fifteen minutes later, the teams take the pitch and you go back to doing your job. Throughout the second half, you could tell that Christen was getting increasingly frustrated, her team getting down 3-0 with only about five minutes left.
You watch as the players high five and hug each other, and you want nothing more than to run onto the field to be with your girlfriend, but you had a plan to stick to.
As the team goes back into the locker room, you pull out your phone to post a photo on Instagram and then you shoot a quick text to Tobin:
(Y/N)🤓:
toby go check out my ig post :))
Back in the Man United locker room, after Casey went through her post match speech, Tobin checks her phone and sees a text from you. The injured forward playfully rolls her eyes at your message but follows your directions.
Upon opening the social media app, Tobin raises her eyebrows, her eyes widening. She glances across the room to see if her best friend had seen your post, but Christen was minding her own business, changing into sweats after her shower.
“Chris!” The older forward calls over to the other woman. “Have you seen your girlfriend’s Instagram post?”
Christen furrows her brows in confusion. “What? No, what is it?”
Tobin waves her friend over and shows her the post:

Christen zooms in on the photo in the center, her eyes widening when she realizes that it is from today’s match.
“How did she get that picture?”
Tobin mentally slaps her forehead at her friend’s denseness. “Knowing (Y/N), she probably took it.”
“But that’s impossible. She’s in the States,” Christen states and shakes her head, dumbfounded.
“Actually,” you speak up, stepping into the locker room, deciding to make your presence known. “I’m right here.”
“(Y/N)?” Your girlfriend looks up at you, her mind in a state of shock.
“Hey, love,” you greet shyly.
Once her mind caught up with reality, Christen runs and jumps into your body, kissing you passionately but briefly and wrapping you into a bone crushing hug.
“I can’t believe your here,” she whispers into your neck. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too, babe, so much.”
Unwrapping herself from the hug, Christen stares at you in awe. “What… how are you here?”
“We can talk about that later,” you give her another quick kiss. “But right now, I just wanna spend time with you. Maybe we can grab some dinner? You can show me around Manchester, considering I’m gonna be spending a lot of time here.”
Your girlfriend looks at you puzzled, but you just give her a wink with a small smirk on your face.
“Well, c’mon lets get out of here.”
—————
Back at Christen’s apartment, the two of you sit down for a nice and casual, but romantic, dinner you’d prepared along with a bottle of red wine.
After catching up, the forward finally decides to address the elephant in the room. “So how are you here? What’s going on, (Y/N/N)? You said earlier that you’d be spending a lot of time in Manchester, what does that mean? I’m so confused. Not that I’m grateful that you’re here right now and that I get to see you, but I thought you were working She Believes, and—“
“Chris,” you cut off your girlfriend’s endearing rambling. “Babe, you’re rambling.”
“Sorry, she blushes, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear.
“I got a job with BBC Sport till the end of the season,” you answer her parade of questions.
“Does that mean what I think it does?”
You nod, while taking a sip of your water. “It means I’m yours if you’ll have me.”
Not having the adequate words to express her joy and excitement, Christen gets up from her chair, walks over to sit in your lap, and connects you lips for a searing kiss.
“I can’t believe you,” she breathes, rubbing her nose against yours. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” you quickly peck her lips while rubbing circles on her hip. “But as much as I love you and all this romance, we gotta get going soon.”
Your girlfriend tilts her head in confusion.
“Do the words ‘She Believes’ ring a bell?” You tease. “If I remember correctly, our flight leaves in a couple hours.”
“You’re coming with me?” Christen asks, her brain trying to wrap around the fact that her girlfriend, who she hadn’t seen in almost five months, would now be living with her in England and flying back to the States with her for the next week.
“Of course, Chris,” you give her a cheeky smile, along with a kiss to her nose, as you quote a book Becky had convinced the whole team to read. “You should know by now that I’d follow you anywhere. You’re the only good thing left in this world.”

In Defense of Yosuke’s Parents
I’ve seen so many posts about Yosuke having bad parents which really surprised me because I didn’t get that impression at all. I’ve been meaning to make a post in defense of his parents, but I’ve been working on a Yu analysis. After I saw @personuhh’s post I thought I’d offer an alternative perspective. I’ll be addressing some of the things they brought up first, and then I’ll get into additional evidence. I have edited this post since I originally posted it because I I wanted to elaborate and reword some things.
My Response
You’re right, Yosuke does take on way more responsibility than a part-timer should. However, I don’t think that’s his parents doing. It seems like Junes is extremely understaffed. In his social link, Yosuke says his dad was “bugging him to find helpers.” I volunteer at a small location of a large church (much like the Inaba branch of Junes), and I have been asked to find more volunteers over and over again because they’re desperate for more help. It’s a lot of work and not enough people. Additionally, both Yu and Chie come in to help due to the lack of staff. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mrs. Hanamura helped out too as Teddie’s under the impression that Yosuke’s parents are always together (which I’ll talk about later).
On top of that, Yosuke mentions part-timers ditching work and slacking off. When an employee doesn’t show up, Yosuke (and Teddie) are often called in because their managers know they’ll show up. People who are reliable are given more responsibility, period. It sucks, but if someone needs help they aren’t going to ask someone who they don’t see as dependable. I volunteer at church every week, and I have been asked countless times if that’s okay because they don’t want to overwork me. Every time I say I don’t mind, and I assume Yosuke would have the same reaction if asked. Not only is it Yosuke’s natural instinct to help people, but he was kind of a pushover before the events of (and at the start of) Persona 4. In his third awakening, Yosuke says he was overworked and taken for granted. That’s not okay, and it’s a huge problem, but Mr. Hanamura isn't the cause of that. Mr. Hanamura is the general manager; his job isn’t to create the part-timer’s schedules.
It’s true that Yosuke tries to work out the problems of other employees and listens to their complaints. There is no indication that Yosuke was told to do this, and I don’t know why he would be. In his social link, there are two girls who act as if he has more power than he does. They demand a raise, ask him to give them the day off, and assume he has knowledge about another employee’s schedule. Yosuke says he doesn't have the power to help them, and in a manga page he says “I may be the manager’s son, but I’m still just an employee.” Yosuke is doing much more than the average part-timer, but he isn’t being given the responsibilities of a manager.
As for the Junes concert, Mr. Hanamura did not tell Yosuke he was going to be fired. Yosuke came to that conclusion himself. Mr. Hanumura did not ask Yosuke to find a solution or ask Rise for help. Yosuke only asked Rise for help because he was scared of moving again. I understand how the phrase “awfully nice for some reason” could come across as odd, but I don’t think he meant his dad isn’t usually nice. In the Persona 4 Manga that scene is translated as “My Dad’s been extra nice to me” meaning his dad is nice, he’s just being extra nice, and I’m not surprised. Yosuke was extremely unhappy when he moved to Inaba. Despite trying to hide his feelings, you can see in The Magician that he didn’t do a very good job of it. And now that Yosuke is finally happy, they might be forced to move again. Of course, Mr. Hanamura would feel guilty. Oftentimes, when people feel guilty, they start acting nicer - unnaturally so - to make themselves feel better. Chie (who is already very kind) even does it after she and Yukiko spend Yosuke’s money on clothes for Teddie. Yosuke notices the shift in her attitude and tells her that he’s worried. It’s the same reaction he had toward his dad’s behavior.
Tumblr media
The only reason I bring up Chie is to show an in-game example of someone being overly nice due to guilt. What Chie did was wrong, that’s why she feels guilty. The reason Mr. Hanamura would feel guilty is his job may have to move his entire family again. The cause of their guilt is different, but they are responding the same way.
I don’t think Mrs. Hanamura not wanting her son to own porn is unreasonable. My mom doesn’t like magic, so I wasn’t allowed to read or watch Harry Potter growing up. Similarly, a friend of mine wasn’t allowed to watch iCarly. As for Mrs. Hanamura burning Yosuke’s porn in Arena, that’s the third time (that we know of) that she’s seen his porn. I assume she’s told him she doesn’t want him looking at pornography, but he continues to do so anyway. Burning his magazines may seem dramatic, but she was likely just frustrated that he kept disobeying her.
I don’t think Yosuke’s parents are the reason why Yosuke wants to be seen as manly. I haven’t seen anything that implies that. I think Yosuke’s desperation to be seen as a man comes from Japanese society and his fears regarding his sexuality.
Tumblr media
Mr. Hanamura came up with this slogan because they were selling jinbei's which are traditionally worn by men. It’s a play on words. This isn’t the first time Mr. Hanamura has come up with a cringey slogan.
Tumblr media
It seems Mr. Hanamura has that stereotypically “dad humor” which is typically associated with positive father figures (it’s not always). Yosuke saying his dad is still saying the “MANsoon” slogan gave me reminds of kids being like “Dad, that’s a bad joke, stop”, but the dad continuing to make his bad jokes regardless. It’s very Disney Channel and sit-com like.
I don’t remember Teddie saying he watches violent war movies with Mr. Hanamura, but I don’t see how that connects to the idea of Mr. Hanamura pushing Yosuke to be a “more masculine, traditional, unshakable, unemotional man.” The idea that only those types of men watch war movies is the type of thinking Kanji’s and Naoto’s shadows were trying to address. I don’t think Mr. Hanamura cares about being that type of stereotypical/traditional man because of his relationship with Teddie. Teddie is not very masculine (he even says so in Persona Q, screenshot will be later), and he isn’t hiding it.
Tumblr media
This exchange is from Kanji’s Persona 4 Club Profile. Teddie went to the store to buy female clothing, and he asked Kanji to make him a dress (the one from the cross dressing pageant). He already owned his “Alice dress” before the cross dressing competition, and I assume he’s worn it. In Arena, you can see the dress is hung out in the open in their bedroom. He also wears hair clips.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is not “masculine behavior” yet the Hanamuras don’t seem to have a problem with it. If anything, I’d say they’re pretty open-minded. If they disliked that way Teddie behaved, Teddie would change himself to fit the way they want him to be. I mean, the kid literally grew two new bodies in effort to get people to like him. Due to Teddie’s low self-esteem and need to be loved, he takes any sort of criticism to heart and does his best to act the way others want him too. In Persona Q, Yukari says he’d be cute if he was quiet, so Teddie stops talking.
Tumblr media
In Persona Q, Teddie says he’s realized that to steal hearts he needs to be manly. He gets this realization from Koromaru. He did not think this prior.
Tumblr media
Teddie saying Koromaru gave him this realization means the Hanmuras never said anything to him about his less masculine behavior.
As for the song lyrics you posted, I don’t really think that means anything. Yeah, people often relate to the music they listen to, but they don’t have to relate to every lyric or even song. My favorite artist is Taylor Swift, but I don’t really like romance. I don’t relate to most of her songs, but I still jam out to them. I could be super wrong about the song thing though because I’m not a huge music person.
My Own Additional Analysis (with some elements of response)
In this section I’m going to talk about Mr. and Mrs. Hanamura’s character and personality, their relationship with each other, Teddie, and Yosuke.
Let’s start off by talking about their personality. They seem to be very carefree people. Yosuke has less than average grades. In the Persona 4 Animation, he didn’t even show up to one of the exam days. Academics is extremely important in Japanese society, yet his parents don’t seem to be pushing him to get better grades. Considering how carefree Yosuke can be, it makes sense that he may have gotten that trait from his parents.
Yosuke’s family is pretty wealthy. It’s mentioned more than once. They also live in a pretty big house (you can see it in The Magician), Yosuke’s cell phone seems to be a newer model, and he has a large, flatscreen TV in his bedroom which wouldn’t be very common when the game took place. Despite this, Yosuke works for his own money. He complains about being broke and needing save up. I think the reason why Yosuke has a job despite being well-off is because his parents want him to have work experience and grow up to be a hardworking person, so he can succeed in life. It makes me think that hardwork is important to them.
Tumblr media
Due to this conversation, I think Mr. Hanamura is a very honest man. Yosuke says he was surprised his dad was against selling gas masks, likely because from a business standpoint, that’s a really big missed opportunity. I think it’s also worth noting that ATLUS talks a lot about how people naturally fit into the masses, including the main characters. That’s why it’s surprising that his father is going against the masses. Although he’s losing money and has faced many hardships running Junes, Mr. Hanamura refused to do something that was against his moral compass.
In Persona 4 Drama CD #1, Junes is closing down half of the electronics section due to a lack of sales. Despite this taking place in March, Teddie panics and hopes to sell a TV set in a month in exchange for keeping the TV they enter the TV World through where it is.
Tumblr media
Yosuke isn’t afraid to ask his dad two huge favors with a not very good reason (side note: Yosuke had to lie because the truth is that’s the TV he and his friends used to go into the TV world and fight shadows). Despite Yosuke’s best efforts, his father says no. He doesn’t really have any choice but to close part of the electronics floor. Junes is losing money by keeping it open. I think Mr. Hanamura gave him the vouchers because that’s the only other way he can help. Teddie made a deal that if he sells one TV set by the end of the month, they’ll keep the TV that leads to the TV world. He’s trying to advertise the TV set by promising other surprise items coming with it. These Junes vouchers are part of those surprise items.
It’s no secret that many of the shopping district families despise Junes and the Hanamuras. Many horrible things have been said about their family, yet Junes still teams up with the shopping district in the YasoInaba Case File to help keep them afloat. Whether or not this was Mr. Hanamura’s idea, he’s the one who has to approve it, and he does. Despite being treated horribly by them, he still wants to help the shopping district. Junes teaming up with shopping district might be a good business move, but they didn’t really need to do that. The problem is that Junes is taking away the shopping district’s business. Junes doesn’t need to team up with the shopping district to do well. The two of the teaming up benefits the shopping district way more than Junes. It doesn’t do much for Junes other than the shopping district maybe not hating them. At the end of the day, the shopping district families would still shop at the shopping district to keep their businesses afloat, so Junes isn’t getting a lot more business.
When Teddie came to the real world, Yosuke offered to take Teddie home with no hesitation. He didn’t think it would be a problem with his parents or show any concern about how he would convince them. I think this goes along with them being pretty carefree as well as showing that they’re kind and generous people. Not everyone is willing to take others in like that. Yosuke’s also comfortable with asking his parents such a huge favor.
Teddie talks about Yosuke’s parents in a really positive light, and I would say they treat him like their own son. For example, on January second Teddie says, “I got New Year’s gifts! Yosuke’s mom and dad gave them to me!” (edit: Someone said “notice how Yosuke doesn’t say the same thing.” He doesn’t need to. It’s Japense culture to give younger family members gifts for new Year’s. Yosuke saying something would be the equivalent of, “omg my parents gave me a birthday present!!” It would have been weirder if he did say something then. Teddie is excited because because this is his first New Year’s. He’s never experienced this before. Also, Yosuke did get New Year’s money. He talks about saving it on 1/10 when walking to school).
I think I remember Teddie saying he watches movies with Mrs. Hanamura, but I have no idea where he says that. There’s a 50/50 chance I made that up and convinced myself it was canon, so don’t take my word on that one.
Teddie breaks A LOT of rules at Junes. He steals topsicles, rode a handi mover through the store, slept on both a display bed and the floor of electronics department, been yelled at for eating samples, been chased by store security, and Yosuke had to monitor Teddie during his late night shift because they didn’t trust him to work alone. Teddie’s a terrible employee, yet he hasn’t been fired. I think the reason for this is he’s basically the manager’s son. I do want to say that just because they consider Teddie as their own child doesn’t mean they treat Yosuke as anything less. I haven’t seen a single thing that has implied that there is favoritism going on.
Yosuke and Teddie act a lot like brothers (Naoki even suspects that they're related), and Yosuke’s parents seem to treat Teddie like their own son. He even wears their family crest in offical art. I looks like ATLUS wnted the four of them to be a family. And If that’s the case, it wouldn’t make any sense for Mr. and Mrs. Hanamura to be bad parents.
Additionally, if Mr. and Mrs. Hanamura treated Yosuke badly, and Teddie noticed, I think Teddie would say something.
Tumblr media
The second Yukari said something slightly mean about Yosuke, Teddie defended him. He doesn’t like when other people say mean things about Yosuke. Not to mention conflict really stresses him out. If Yosuke’s parents treated him badly, I there’s a chance Teddie might see the problem.
I think it’s also worth noting that Yosuke’s parents have a really healthy marriage.
Tumblr media
This quote implies that they’re rarely apart and get along really well. A happy marriage doesn’t automatically equal a healthy household or good parents, but it really increases the likelihood.
Tumblr media
For context, Yosuke is talking about Teddie in this picture. I’m not from Japan, so I don’t know if most families there eat breakfast together, but my family - despite being very close - does not. We all eat and start our day at different times. In my mind, eating breakfast together is a very domestic thing to do. Even the phrase “Hanamura family breakfast” screams domestic to me.
Tumblr media
This conversation gives me the sense that Mr. Hanamura has a great deal of trust and respect for Yosuke. I mean, I don’t think he would accept Yosuke’s idea if he didn’t. Adding a kid’s menu would be pretty exspensive. Not only do they have to print the kid’s menu, but they have to design them, create new menu items, and depedning on what’s on the menu buy more food or ingredients. That adds up, and if it isn’t successful then they’ll lose money. Mr. Hanamura has to approve that idea, and he’s putting in trust that it’s going to be successful. Also, Yosuke is comfortable enough to “push really hard” for his idea.
All in all, it is my personal opinion that the Hanamurs are a really close family. It would make sense for ATLUS to go in that direction to create a contrast to the Narukami’s, after all. That being said, neither headcanon is wrong. It just comes down to how we interpret the very little information we’re given.

Spring Troupe with an S/O Who Shares the Same Hobby
A/N: I had a ton of fun writing these. Hope y’all enjoy! I’ll eventually write these for the other troupe’s as well :)
CW(s): none
❀ Sakuya Sakuma - Theatre
Sakuya absolutely adores the fact you love theatre, as it’s such a huge passion of his
He’ll definitely ask for your help when rehearsing and memorizing lines or when practicing blocking by himself. He’ll look to you for advice at times as well whenever he’s a bit stuck.
If you’re also in theatre productions, he’ll always offer to help you with the same things and will try to give constructive criticism to you too if you ask for it
He will definitely show up to all of your performances, his theatre schedule permitting, whenever you are in a show. Doesn’t matter if you’re ensemble or the lead, he’s so incredibly proud of you and wants to cheer you on
Whenever you go to his performances he’s so grateful and swears up and down he’s performances are always a little bit better when you’re there.
Be prepared to go on theatre dates; if there’s a performance he wants to see, he’ll be sure to invite you and he hopes you’ll do the same
Sakuya looked over at you, excitement written plainly on his face. You couldn’t help but smile in response. The two of you were waiting in line to see a new theatre performance that was set to premiere that day, and you were both vibrating with excitement. Sakuya squeezed your hand and smiled at you again.
“Excited?”
“Extremely.” The line moved forward and the two of you made your way inside. As soon as you sat down and the lights began to dim, Sakuya squeezed your hand again and placed a soft kiss on the side of your face.
“Thank you for coming with me.” he whispered.
“I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.”
The fact that he can do something he loves, with someone he loves, means the absolute world to him
❀ Masumi Usui - Music
Masumi has a passion for music and the fact you do too is just another reason he loves you
He’ll definitely share his favorite CDs with you, and even make you playlists! He’ll also create special music CDs for music he recommends or just songs that remind him of you
He starts to carry earbuds on his person so you two can listen to music together no matter where you are, and if he forgets his pair he knows you most likely have your pair on you
Sometimes, when you’re spending time together, the two of you just listen to music and bask in each others presence
He’ll share a lot of alternative rock with you as it’s his favorite genre, but he’ll listen to almost anything
Even if your favorite genre isn’t his favorite, he’ll still listen to and appreciate every song you send to him
‘Hey babe!’ you texted Masumi, ‘this song reminded me of you ♡ it’s called Same Boat by LizzyMcAlpine! It’s not your usual genre but I hope you like it anyways! (Ɔ ˘⌣˘)♥(˘⌣˘ C) ‘
Masumi read the text message in his dorm, smiling to himself. He opened YouTube and typed in the title and quickly clicked a lyric video. You were right, the song was incredibly far from his favorite genre. The song was slow and soft, but somewhat pretty nonetheless.
As the song ended he opened up your text chat again. ‘I am in the same boat ♡ love you so much’ he typed out.
‘Love you too, Masumi!’ He couldn’t help but smile at his phone once more, absolutely enamored with you.
Masumi just adores the fact he share his hobby with you, and you can understand where he’s coming from when it comes to his love for music
❀ Tsuzuru Minagi - Writing
Tsuzuru finds it incredibly helpful that you also like to write, no matter if it’s script writing, poetry, non-fiction, or stories
If you do more creative writing he’ll definitely bounce ideas off of you and have you peer review some of his work to make sure it makes sense -especially since he writes a lot of his work while practically dead-. If you write more nonfiction, he may ask for help with research whenever he’s writing a historical play or anything of that such.
If you ask him to, he’ll peer edit and review your work as well. He may not always do the best job, especially if he just finished a script
Remind him to sleep and rest! You especially understand what it’s like to overwork yourself so your reminders almost mean more to him. He’ll also remind you to rest, which is quite hypocritical but he does it because he cares about you.
You were working on the final draft of your writing project when you received a phone call. The name on the screen read, ‘Tsuzuru’. You couldn’t help but smile at the sight of your boyfriend's name.
You answered the phone. “Hey Tsuzuru!’
“Hey! I know you’ve been working on that project lately so I just wanted to remind you to go to sleep. The project will still be there in the morning and you’ll be able to work on it better after you rest.”
You couldn’t help but laugh. “Tsuzuru, you’re working on a script right now, right?”
“Yeah?”
“I’ll listen to your words only if you heed your own advice. You can finish the script in the morning and you’ll do better after you rest. ‘Kay?”
Tsuzuru laughed then. “Okay, I’ll try.”
“Then I’ll try as well. Love you!”
“Love you too.”
He also always hypes up your writing! He adores it so much and thinks you’re incredibly talented
❀ Itaru Chigasaki - Video Games
One of the reasons Itaru originally decided to pursue a relationship with you was because of your love for video games
He loves to recommend you games, and he’ll play any and all of the games you recommend him
You can bet you’ll have video game dates. Whether this means you backseat gaming as he uses the controller or vice versa or even playing multiplayer depends on the day.
“You have to go down!”
“No, the extra bonus isn’t here, it’s further down.”
“No no, trust me, Itaru, it’s here I’ve played this game like a bajillion times.”
“And I’ve played it a bajillion and one times.” you rolled your eyes at your boyfriend, although he couldn’t see it. He was lying on his back on the couch, and you cuddled on top of him with his arms around you as he held the controller.
“Please just at least look?” you asked.
“Fine.” You watched the playable character move out of the screen as the game faded to black. Once the game faded back in, you could see the bonus chest in the hidden room. “See! I told you!” you yelled, laughing the entire time.
“I can’t believe you proved me wrong.” he laughed too, although there was a hint of frustration in his voice. You craned your neck to kiss Itaru on the jaw.
“It’s okay, it was more of a lucky guess. Also I played this game before coming over so I could see where the hidden items were.”
Itaru will go with you to gaming stores, and will definitely use you as an excuse for being there in case he runs into a coworker. But it’s alright, as he’ll give you an apology kiss afterwards.
If you ever need help beating a game, he’ll always be there to help and give advice. And if you play gacha, he may help donate to the cause of you pulling your best boy or girl
❀ Citron - Learning New Words
Citron loves to learn new words, and if you do as well, then he’d love to learn new words with you!
He’ll definitely just flip through a dictionary with you, learning how to pronounce new words and learning their definitions
The two of you were lying on the floor of Citron’s dorm on your bellies next to each other. Between you was a dictionary.
“Letter?” you asked.
“F.”
“Alright.” You found the ‘F’ section in the dictionary and flipped to a random page, closing your eyes and pointing to a random spot.
“Fas-mill?” Citron sounded confused.
You looked at the pronunciation key. “I think it’s fac-SIH-muh-lee.”
“Oh! That makes sense. Facsimile. What does the word mean?”
“It says it means ‘an exact copy or reproduction, as of a document’. So I guess, like, whenever the director makes a copy of Tsuzuru’s scripts for you guys to memorize it’s a facsimile.”
“Oh! That makes a lot of sense. Thank you!” Citron gave you a kiss on the cheek after he finished speaking.
Sometimes your dates just consist of flipping through a dictionary and learning new words. The two of you have a lot of fun, even if others may find it odd
Sometimes he’ll tell you stories from his homeland using the new words you learned even if he doesn’t always use them correctly
❀ Chikage Utsuki - Spicy Food
Chikage is so happy someone else finally loves spicy food close to as much as he does
He may ask you for help when writing his reviews, as getting a second opinion can definitely help him at times
He’ll take you to his favorite spicy food restaurants for dates and will ask if he can order for you as he’s eaten at these restaurants so many times, he practically has their menus memorized. Because of this, he has an idea of what is good and what isn’t and you’re most likely to like
Chikage had asked if he could order your meal for you and you and you had agreed, trusting him to get you something you’d like.
A plate was soon placed in front of you and you promptly decided it looked absolutely delicious. You took a bite.
“So? How is it?”
“It’s amazing, oh my god.” you responded, your mouth still somewhat full of food.
“It’s rude to talk with your mouth full.”
“Sorry,” you replied, but your mouth still had food in it. Chikage shook his head.
“Well, I’m glad you like it. I figured you would.”
Sometimes he’ll sneak extra spice into your food- whether it’s as a ‘prank’ or not is really anyone’s guess
Sometimes, as a date, the two of you will order spicy food from a bunch of restaurants and try them all, critiquing them as if you’re professional food reviewers although you could argue Chikage kind of is
