Pretty early start to the day, I'm probably going to finish around half of my remaining physics notes this morning and then do a MCQ from Knowt. I have to go to all my classes today and turn in late work, but since AP's are over in history we're doing international films!

Also, I've been absolutely obsessed with The Bear recently and one of my goals for today is not to binge three episodes like I did yesterday :(

send completed lesson plan to my math teacher to print out

create the first draft of my 'seven layer hell' dip and figure out who I want to put into it

start registering for summer courses at second choice options

take out the trash

complete physics syllabus completely and focus on problem solving

The Woman Who Wept

A walk along just passing through

To meet a man I’m selling to

The row is quiet nice and neat

Except the house across the street

That’s when I saw a woman run through

She, no more than twenty two

Her eyes were swollen, red and pink

She stumbled to the curb. Drunk, I think.

Two curious men followed her path

She heard their feet and turned her back

What happened next I regret to see

While waiting to sell my old tv.

The girl screamed, to my dismay.

She cried out “help!” and looked my way.

The men picked her up off the road

Locked eyes with me, brows furrowed. 

“She’s fine” they called, but something’s not right. 

Their tone was harsh, they held her tight. 

Her eyes caught mine as they drug her in, 

And I let her go to those strange men. 

The row became quiet and still again 

200 for me, a TV for him.

I hesitated, but went on my way

and saved heroism for another day. 

But I’ll never forget the woman who wept,

and the uncertainty that crept 

when the curious men muffled her cry ,

 as I turned a cowardly eye.

This was written for my friend who found himself in this situation when he was in his early 20′s, and didn’t know what do to/wasn’t sure if anything was really wrong. I was fascinated by his story and I poured it out into a thing so here yeah. This is a true story, and I hope somewhere in the world that woman is ok.
