Honestly I just love the way that you've created Y/N? And just the whole premise of glb being how hard the transition from girlhood to womanhood is?? Like obv the stuff with the boys is delicious but the way that it is also so intrinsically tied to these themes of not knowing how you're supposed to fit in the world.... especially for someone like the protagonist who is SO exposed... Here is my process: think of a premise i like, identify a key few events For The Angst, write the finally-getting-together scene, and then thirty thousand words later realize that I've actually set it up so that one of the events doesn't work anymore, and now there's also a shitload more angst to be resolved before the getting-together scene works, and I'm at point D with no clear road to point Z.

So basically as much as i try to outline stuff... i am almost always flying by the seat of my pants lol

Oh ty youre too much 💓 well maybe I'm biased but i feel like i do a pretty good job of keeping the fics/characters in-character. Similar voices, decisions, dynamics, inner monologue, etc. Generally I cant read a fic where everyone is OOC bc it grates on me.

Hiya there! The scenario with the realization of their feelings was just.. soft.. and warm. Not going to lie, it kind of makes me sad, but in a good way. Shows rarely ever have those type of intimate scenes that are quiet like that.

Premise: Everyday life setting (house settings, school settings, etc.) + dream settings with a ML who keeps having strange dreams of a man. ML tries to tell other people but no one listens, so he talks to this dream guy and they can do whatever they want in these dreams.

That's one thing a lot of the Korean BLs do well, I cannot deny. There's a lot more small, soft, quiet moments than we see in some of the others. Still not quite everything, but good. I mean, Oxygen and Tossara are some of my favorites and I love them so much because they're soft and slow and gentle and filled with love and respect.

Anyway!

ML is the most typical guy you've ever met. He's kind of boring, has a small group of friends, studies engineering and mostly just goes about his life without much change from anything. He's very, very average and he's happy with that. He's never wanted to stand out. Think an anime opening except you pass over all the people with bright hair and interesting earrings and painted nails and end up on a guy with plain hair, a plain uniform and a blank expression on his face.

But he dreams brilliantly. All his life ML has had bright and vivid dreams about anything and everything. They're fantastic and he loves sleeping. He's never had a boring dream in his life. But he learned early on not to talk about them.

And all his life he's dreamt of another person. At first he was a kid like him and they ran around in this vivid fantasy world together and everyone laughed about his stories and his imaginary friend. But the older he got without anything changing, the less patient everyone got.

Then the dreams stopped. Not the dreams, they were still vivid. But his friends vanished from the dreams and ML found himself wandering around alone. It was lonely at first but he grew used to it and assumed that he'd just imagined the friend, like everyone had told him, and that he'd finally outgrown that.

So, here he is. ML, boring but with vivid dreams, walks into his second year at the university, dressed casually but in uniform and sees a familiar face in the crowd. Only... only it's not familiar in a way he can place. The sense of deja vu keeps happening.

When he goes to sleep, when he opens his eyes to his vivid dream world... he's not alone.

For the first time in nearly a decade, he's not alone.

There's another young man, the same age as him, sitting in front of him and just staring. Dream is of the anime protagonists we saw earlier, well, styled like one. He has brilliant blue hair, multiple earrings and he's grinning ear to ear.

ML flips out a little bit. But Dream just keeps repeating ML's name excitedly and trying to talk about missing him and how sorry he was that he vanished and finally ML calms down enough to listen.

Dream's family, it turned out, had moved to the United States for several years due to his father's work. And it meant that Dream and ML had no longer shared sleeping hours. But Dream was finally back in Thailand and so, so excited. He'd been worried that the dreams wouldn't be shared again. But he'd never forgotten ML.

So their nightly adventures return. Dream shows ML all the experimenting he's done in the dream world, all the ways he figured out to change things in his search for ML, things that ML never really tried because he was too worried, too nervous, too shy to take those extreme steps.

It's fine, though. They resume their friendship almost as if it had never paused. And ML starts to realize exactly how... boring... he is. Dream's been traveling the world, both IRL and in the dream, seeing all kinds of things and experimenting and ML has just been in the same place, in the same home, in the same everything.

Dream's enthusiasm is hard for ML. He's not jealous, honestly. He's just worried that he's not good enough. He's never met anyone like Dream and soon he's spending most of his waking hours worrying about what he'll say in the dream to Dream. School's getting harder, everything's harder, and when ML finds himself doodling Dream on his workbooks and he realizes that he's in love.

But how can he be in love? How can he even imagine living up to the fascinating person that Dream is and that he isnt?

Now, all through this, in the university scenes, he keeps getting deja vu around this one student who looks and acts almost as boring as he does. ML has no idea how to handle this immense familiarity, especially when his classmate seems oblivious to his existence. ML is struggling both in the university and in his dreams and his friends are worried.

One night, it comes to a head. ML can't handle it and he ends up in a huge fight with Dream about nothing. Literally just... nothing. ML's upset and feels like he can't be good enough and so he fights about everything because he has no idea how to express that feeling. And Dream leaves the dream, he leaves in tears and ML's regret cannot be measured.

Several nights of dreaming without Dream send ML spiraling... and he hasn't seen Deja Vu around either, not that he's ever spoken to the other student. But ML suddenly feels alone and isolated and like he's never felt before...

Finally, he goes to take a nap in the middle of the afternoon, nothing better to do... and sees Dream there. It has to be Dream. But it looks like Deja Vu there in his dream world, just another boring university student ant not the anime protagonist he'd grown used to seeing.

He calls out to him, rushing over to apologize and Deja Vu tries to stay away from him. He's obviously been crying and he keeps trying to hide himself from ML.

ML apologizes again and again until Deja Vu... until Dream looks at him and finally lets himself be pulled into a hug. And they talk. Well, ML talks. And Dream asks questions that ML forces himself to answer, no matter how painful.

Dream goes from crying to laughing very quickly. Because the idea that ML thinks he's boring, thinks he's not worth Dream's time, is just funny. Dream spent the past near-decade searching desperately for ML anywhere in the dreamverse. Finding him again was the best thing that ever happened.

And ML listens, finally. He listens to Dream and he believes him. He believes, he realizes, that he doesn't need to be everything, to be the most interesting person or the best to deserve to be more than just average, to not be overlooked.

Then comes Deja Vu. Who Dream suddenly looks like. And the full realization hits ML when Dream starts to blush...

Less than hour later they're standing together in a parking lot, eye to eye for the first time in the real world, two average looking young men, two average students, sharing something so beyond average there's nothing that can stop their kiss.

I don't really have much to say about them though lol, I haven't gotten to TTDAC in my rewatch yet so my memories are hazy, and Cementing Relationships wasn't very substantial, I just cited it negatively because I found the episode kind of annoying overall and I thought it was unfair to Klinger in making him the screw-up for virtually no reason when imo it should've been Hawkeye who fucked up the cement mixing since he has 0 experience, knowledge, or interest in manual labour.

Though wrt the Christmas one, I'll say that from what I recall, while it wasn't as bad as it could've been given the premise, it still basically boiled down to "authority good and necessary and needs to be respected" as a thematic takeaway imo, with the enlisted men and officers gaining a new respect for each others' roles in the unit yadda yadda yadda.

Also like, feel free to send me any questions or your own thoughts or whatever about the show, I'll take any opportunity to talk about Mash right now. Whats your opinion on the headcanon that bakugou is hard of hearing because of how loud his explosions are? If you dont mind my asking

I think I answered this q on this blog already? Maybe? But anyway, I don’t exactly mind it, but I can’t say I share the headcanon myself - for one, because I’m of the opinion that their bodies are built to withstand a safe use of their quirks (a bit like you can’t break a leg by simply walking, you know), so in general I’m not a fan of headcanons that include damages caused by simply doing what their bodies were born to do? 

But also because generally, even under the assumption that his body isn’t made to hold up with his explosions, isn’t it awfully convenient how only his ears take damage in these scenarios? What about his eyes? How come he can still see with no problems even with the continuous exposure to the explosions’ light? How about his hair? How come he can stand so close to fire without it ever being damaged by it? His palms have thicker skin and we know that thanks to his UA file, but what about the rest of his body? How come he can stand smack in the middle of an Howitzer Impact without getting even slightly burnt? When you say “only his ears aren’t made to withstand his explosions” what you’re telling me is that his whole body is tailord to deal with his quirk but his ears, and that just feels unrealistic to me - by which I mean, when this is the scenario we’re talking about, you can’t give the fault of the damage to Bakugou’s quirk. It’s a problem his body has, not a natural consequence of having that sort of quirk. And imho with those premises you sort of end up with a different kind of story, you’re supposed to write it differently - that’s what I think, at least

Ah, this is also another reason why I’m not a huge fan of the headcanon - don’t get me wrong! If you like it then go on, I’m not trying to stop anyone from enjoying ideas and possibilities!! But personally I like Bakugou not having any reason to be loud-mouthed and rude, that’s just his personality and how the environment he grew up in made him, and lately I’ve seen the hc used to justify his behaviour more than I like? Bakugou being an asshole is just who he is, and I love it! I love that his life made him like that and I love that he’s working hard to fix that flaw, giving him an external reason, something he has no control over, to justify his personality changes the core of his character too much, and that’s not something I’d ever want to do tbh

And it’s also cool to think that he was somewhat genetically engineered to be better in a fight to compensate for a lack of earing (though again, why only his ears and not his eyes or his sense of tact too), but that goes to cut on all the hard work he put in becoming as good as he is, right? If that’s what you like than who am I to stop you! But Bakugou’s hardworking nature is one of the things I love about him, I don’t really feel like taking away from him all the effort and work he put through the years in becoming as good as he is now

Uh, well, it’s not like I “haven’t considered” doing it, but more than a collage it’s… just how I always draw? Only usually I cut the pics for each of them to be a different image so they’re easier to see, while yesterday I was too lazy to do that and left them all on the same canvas haha so I guess yeah next time I’ll feel like drawing krkm if you’d like I can leave the drawings all in one pic, that’s just less work for me after all lol

The SKK Fic Rec List No One Asked For

But listen, listen, everyone needs more angst in their lives, right? Yeah, this is mostly angst because I am made of angst, and I live for it. So here are some awesome fics I highly recommend reading about a soggy pile of bandages and a sentient hatrack: 

This Is How the World Ends (Anon): Okay so I love this fic because the writing style is amazing. Not only does it punch you in the gut with emotions but the premise is hard to pull off, but the author (whoever you are, ilu) does it so well. Like the way they write reality sort of kind of coming undone and then back together is an art form. Probably the best use of The Book I’ve seen in a fic so far! And the most interesting take on how the reality of the book works (paper-thin, like a single page.) 

Burn ( @leio13 ): I’ve been screaming about this fic for five years because it is THE Chuuya torture fic. Like seriously, I haven’t seen another fic in the fandom so dedicated to torturing Chuuya, and I have a lOT OF FEELINGS about it that mostly involve SCREAMING AND CRYING. The descriptions are incredibly vivid which makes me feel the pain even more. RIP Chuuya and RIP my heart. 

Reversal (Katical): This fic has a really good premise to do with Chuuya’s Ability, which is really fascinating to see unfold. But also, I love the emotional journey that Dazai and Chuuya go through because (as the tags say) Dazai struggles with emotion. ESPECIALLY WITH REGARDS TO CHUUYA! Now you can watch him struggle alongside an amazing plot! 

Memories of Tomorrow (miwagashi): In-progress, but so far the writing is amazing and Chuuya and Dazai are characterized really well! I’m really interested to see where the plot goes, because I have a bad feeling shit is gonna hit the fan. Also, this author has a lot of one-shots that are really amazing, so you should check those out as well! 

We’re Empty ( @chomra ): I really love the premise for this fic, which uses a cool visual to illustrate the journey of Dazai’s and Chuuya’s relationship to each other. It really is an emotional journey from start to finish, and deals with self-doubt really well. 

Touch ( @redamaranth ): It’s pretty simple to stop Corruption. All Dazai has to do is touch Chuuya, right? RIGHT???? THAT’S NOT HARD RIGHT??? (AKA this fic tore my heart out and threw it in the trash and then set it on fire THAT’S HOW MUCH I CRIED.) 

fluency in the sixth language (Camichuu): This is a short look at an interaction between Dazai and Chuuya post-Corruption but one of the best-written that I’ve read. The descriptions of how they communicate with each other are amazing, and there’s so much in such a short fic.

Hiya there! I finally got some creative juices and decided to base off a premise on that one childhood legend that if you blow a dandelion, a wish will come true!

Premise: High school setting with 2 childhood best friends that shared a ritual of blowing dandelions to wish for magical solutions to anything that upset them. When they eventually had 1 flower left, they ended up having an argument and separating. Both end up attending the same high school years later with lots of conflicted feelings.

Ooo, nice one! I didn't know this one as a kid but I do love dandelions. They're just so nice and bright and cheerful! Onto the prompt!

Okay, so we've got ML and Dandelion (obviously) who were childhood friends turned enemies. They would get the start of every episode, a scene before the theme song every time that went backwards, showing them from the last fight all the way back to their first meeting in reflection of the story of them going from enemies back to friends.

Basically, they met as kindergartners over finding dandelions in school field and Dandelion tells ML about the legend of the wishes. They both blow, make their wishes and then a pinky promise to always be friends. Their wishes continue, from friendship to good grades to winning a contest... and then they get to around 12 years old and they're fighting over their sports and their academics (ML has higher grades but Dandelion made it onto the better team) and they end up fighting so much that they shake the seeds off the dandelion before they can blow or make a wish and they blame each other and stalk off angrily.

Dandelion moves at the end of the year without resolving anything and ML stays upset... but he's honestly almost more upset that Dandelion left without a word.

And four years later ML is the top student at a top high school far from where he grew up. He lives in a dorm and currently has it entirely to himself.

Until he's pulled aside one morning and told that a sports scholarship roommate. ML isn't overly worried. It'll be fine, he's sure, the sports scholarship guys are always busy and he can just... avoid them. He's been avoiding sports guys ever since Dandelion.

And then Dandelion is unpacking in his room when he goes back and it's like getting slapped in the face. ML sees his back but hears his voice and then the moment Dandelion turns around... ML leaves. He rushes over to the dean and begs for a room change. But there's nothing, no other rooms are at partial occupancy and so he's stuck with Dandelion until further notice.

ML returns to his room to Dandelion sitting on the bed and staring at the door. He stumbles to his feet and rushes over, greeting ML excitedly. It's obvious that he had long forgotten their fight. He's all smiles and excited to see an old friend and it's like a dagger in ML's heart. Because he's been carrying all this anger and this hurt and it turns out that... no one cared.

So he gives Dandelion the cold shoulder. Pushes him aside, ignores him completely, refuses to acknowledge that they ever knew each other and basically just rudely ignores him. Dandelion is hurt and confused and keeps asking what's going on and is increasingly ignored.

He finally gives up when ML puts in earplugs and settles in to go to sleep. Dandelion quietly shuffles to his bed and sadly turns off the light as ML curls up on his side and muffles years of pain into his pillow in the darkness.

The next month or so is horribly uncomfortable. ML refuses to acknowledge Dandelion at all beyond what's required to live in the same room. He throws out garbage, sweeps, so on. But never speaks to him. Never says his name. Never makes eye contact.

After a month, Dandelion corners ML in the room one evening and just demands to know what's going on. He knows ML, he knows ML knows him so... why are they ignoring each other? Dandelion might be a little drunk when he does this.

ML explodes. All that anger, all that hurt, comes out as he loudly explains how Dandelion abandoned him after their fight, never spoke to him again, never said good-bye, never apologized, nothing. By the end ML is sobbing and gasping and the more-than-a-little drunk Dandelion has tears on his cheeks as he stumbles out of the room.

The morning brings a very subdued Dandelion back into the room. He steps in, looks at the red-eyed ML... and apologizes.

He'd truly forgotten about leaving without saying good-bye and the fighting. He'd moved to a new country and had struggled to make friends and had ended up idealizing his friendship with ML in his memory. He'd really forgotten the bad moments in a desperate bid to remember a time when he'd been happy and had a close friend.

ML... is surprised to say the least. Because Dandelion was always more popular than him. But he's still hurt... at least until Dandelion apologizes again. More specifically. For leaving him, for not saying good-bye. He hadn't been given a lot of warning and they hadn't talked for months and he'd lost ML's phone number when they'd last fought. Dandelion remembered how hard he'd tried to get in touch with ML but had completely failed.

And ML finally decides to forgive him. At least enough to live with him more civilly. He's still upset and hurt but that's more because he'd been nursing that ache for so long that it's hard to let go.

Slowly, they start to rebuild a friendship. It's a bit colder, there's still distance ML won't let go of. Dandelion, though, has nothing but joy. He's so happy and he's all over ML, constantly, hugging and bringing him food and gifts... he's like an overager puppy now that he has his friend back.

ML struggles with maintaining the distance and finds himself falling face first into a huge crush on his old-new friend. The food, the touches, the gifts, the constant attention... what else is he supposed to do? They spend all their time together, just like old times.

One morning, walking into class, ML spots some dandelions. And he pulls them out, handing one to Dandelion to blow for the wishes, just like they used to do... and realizes that his wish is to be loved by Dandelion. And that's like an arrow through the heart. This is the same boy that abandoned him all those years ago.

ML shuts it down again. He doesn't go as cold but he goes back to civil rather than friends. And Dandelion is obviously heartbroken. The gifts and the food increase, the care increases. Their dorm is spotless, there's always food in the fridge, everything is perfect as Dandelion tries to show ML that their friendship isn't a mistake.

It takes about a week before Dandelion's constant asking about what's wrong wears ML down. And, late at night, when a drunk and sad Dandelion drags himself in and crawls into the bed to snuggle ML and beg forgiveness again... he admits that he's in love. And that he can't bear to lose Dandelion again.

ML doesn't think Dandelion remembers.

He's wrong.

The next day, Dandelion starts a new plan. He shows ML everything he can have with him. He cooks and he cleans and he WOOS ML and ML is already lost... but now he just has to work up the courage to say yes.

It takes just over a month, just to the point that Dandelion starts to give up hope, right when Dandelion sits on the edge of the bed and tells ML it's okay if he doesn't love him anymore but he has to say something, anything, to let Dandelion know what's going on...

And then ML breaks down. Admits his love and his fears and Dandelion gathers him up in his arms with promises and love.

There's a follow-up episode of them together for several months when Dandelion has to go to his internship and ML panics over it but they get to reassure each other and their friends get dragged in but, in the end, ML realizes that he has to trust Dandelion and that he does and sends him off with a flower crown he made of silk flowers that will never blow away.

Hiya there! Simple plot this time cause I can’t think of anything else :’)

Premise: University setting with a financially struggling ML who got a huge scholarship for a very, very elite school. The moment he enters, he takes interest in a guy from the golf club (cause why not?).

Simple is fine! Let's do this!

Okay! So ML is struggling but determined. In fact, he's a bit... too determined. He's focused and he's determined and he will not be distracted from succeeding at this elite school. The problem? He's from a rural area where he's spent his entire lifetime struggling for food. He'd helped his parents at work after school and then stayed up doing homework.

To put it simply, ML is a hardass, serious student who doesn't have any need for relaxation. But now he's earned a full scholarship and doesn't actually need to work. On the other hand, his parents and his younger sister need money and he can't abandon them.

So how does he meet Golf? Because he takes a job as a caddy at the golf club because the tips from his fellow students, the spoiled ones, are amazing. And ML doesn't care that everyone looks down on him. He's poor already, he doesn't even like his classmates and he doesn't need to be liked in return.

Golf starts out like all the rest, looking at ML and mocking him. (Enemies to lovers, y'all, enemies to lovers) And ML just glares but keeps doing his work, head down.

And then they're assigned to a project together in class. Both of them BEG the teacher to change the partners but there's no change at all. So suddenly they're forced to work together and to do so civilly because the teacher makes it VERY clear that they will continue to work together on everything until they make a good project.

So they sit down. And ML takes over. He's brilliant and he's organized and Golf is blown away. He had no idea. No one did because no one took the time to talk to ML before mocking him for being poor/different.

ML doesn't care. He's closed himself off entirely and isn't going to take a chance on anything. He's done.

But Golf is determined and, with the stubbornness of a spoiled young man with truly nothing better to do, he starts to work on creating a friendship. First it's during the project. He constantly compliments ML, constantly makes sure he knows how good he's doing, listens to his instructions and does his best to help out.

Then on the golf course. He always requests ML as his caddy and treats him kindly. He defends him when his friend start to make fun of him. He tips well and he makes sure that ML is working but not hard.

And ML finds himself softening, bit by bit. He doesn't really want to soften but Golf is genuinely a good person. He's a bit snobby, a bit stupid, naive as can be and quick to change his mind but beneath all those faults is a good heart.

Slowly they become friends. But it's not smooth sailing. None of Golf's friends are as willing to try as him and most just can't get past poking fun at ML. And ML tries his best to ignore them and tells Golf to ignore them as well.

They're becoming more than friends at this point. Golf's feelings have been steadily growing and ML can't resist his charms. Though he's trying. But Golf's flirting is reaching the point that ML has to give him a yes or a no soon... and he's starting to lean towards yes.

Only it bothers ML more than he cares to admit. And Golf has a hard time ignoring without joining in and even his much gentler teasing, followed by flirting and friendship, starts to grate. But ML doesn't want to admit it. So it builds up and builds and builds...

And he explodes during a golf game, screaming at ML and leaving, running off. Golf freaks, chasing him and apologizing profusely. All the frustrations come out and Golf begs ML to be honest more often because he doesn't want to hurt him like that even again.

They rebuild their friendship from that and Golf, in fact, loses several of his other friends over ML. But he's willing to sacrifice that to keep his friend and giant crush. It makes ML rather uncomfortable, though. He doesn't want to see Golf in the same state he's been in, without friends and isolated.

But every time he tries to push Golf away, he fails. Golf just won't let that happen. He's not pushing the romance but he's not going to give up their friendship either.

And the longer they're friends, the more ML falls for Golf. And when Golf finally asks him to be his boyfriend... there's no choice in ML's mind.

(Why, yes, parts of this are me rewriting FUTS into the story I want... is anyone surprised?)

Hiya there! I love ML standing up for Anon and not getting pissed at it. There’s so many times when characters get pissed at another for being scared to open up, or at least more times than there should be. Some (rare) times it could be reasonable, but damn give them some space.

Premise: Cafe setting with a barista ML who accidentally makes mistake with a customer’s order. The customer ends up really enjoying the drink and soon becomes a frequent customer for this mysterious concoction that brings them

I am very tired of characters getting pissed for things like keeping a secret that could affect them hugely and other reasonable things. So I try to avoid that, most of the time. But sometimes it does make sense character wise or plot wise, I must admit.

ML is actually known by all the regulars in the coffee shop for making mistakes. He's... not the best at following directions. In fact, the only reason he's still working is because his mistakes often turn out better than the original did. It's kinda his gimmick. (Note: If a customers mentions allergies, ML is required to let someone else make the drink.)

This is because ML has ADHD and severe executive dysfunction issues alongside a host of other symptoms, obviously. He's just also, luckily, very good at mixing flavors regardless.

But Coffee knows none of this when he walks in and orders a fairly complicated drink. And receives something... different. Different but better. And when he asks about it, he recieves the explanation of how ML never gets an order right but always seems to make it better.

Coffee starts coming more regularly. He gets his not right but better drinks and he watches ML. And he chats when he can. ML is enthusiastic, bouncy, friendly but distracted.

Coffee is the exact opposite. He's always been the studious and serious type. He wears thick glasses and tends to take everything a bit too seriously. ML is fascinating in his light persona, always flitting from topic to topic.

But Coffee notices other things. He notices how everyone calls ML stupid behind his back. That many of the regulars love his drinks but mock his personality when he isn't looking. That even the other employees join in the mocking whenever ML is busy or not working. Everyone says he's stupid, a drop-out, useless outside of the coffee shop.

And Coffee has a chance to see this when he runs into ML in the grocery store one day. He sees ML standing in an aisle, struggling with a shopping list because he'd gone out of order and forgotten to check things off. So he's standing in the middle of an aisle trying to figure out what he's gotten and what he still needs. It's obviously a struggle for him to coordinate the list, the groceries and the people constantly trying to pass him by and jostling him.

So Coffee stops and offers to help. ML goes slack-jawed at the offer. But Coffee efficiently pulls the cart to the side, checks the items on the list and hands it back to ML with everything checked off and a few suggestions on how to organize the list better.

ML thanks him and laughs and is obviously both grateful and touched and amazed. Coffee is in love. He's gone. That's all it took to push him from a vague liking to absolutely gone in love boy. ML's gratitude and positivity is contagious.

And then Coffee offers to give ML a ride home after ML mentions a long walk. ML takes that right up and Coffee is given a chance to see his absolute disaster of a condo. It's... it's beyond messy. There's piles everywhere of everything imaginable and ML sheepishly admits how hard cleaning is for him.

Suddenly, Coffee finds himself helping ML with everything he can. He realizes that ML is brilliant at art and flavors and can get sucked into baking or cooking or creating for hours on end without noticing. But that ML is lost when it comes to a lot of the basics of life, like cleaning and neatening and keeping track of time.

Coffee is a horrible cook and baker and better at math than art. But he's very neat. So he starts coming over every day. He cleans and he neatens and he drags ML away from his hyperfocus and sits with him when nothing at all helps the overwhelming sense of boredom or when he just can't start anything at all.

And he's just falling deeper and deeper in love the entire time.

Then he hears a regular and a coworker at the shop making fun of ML one day.

Coffee stands up and defends ML. Vigorously. Loudly. Talking about how ML is doing everything he can and the best part of the store and that if he wasn't there none of them would be and he's ranting at these two rather shocked people when ML walks out.

And ML is shocked in the best way. Especially when Coffee wraps an arm around him and keeps on defending him. This is the moment when ML falls.

So now we're onto mutual pining. They're both in love but they're both also sure that there's no way the other person could love them the same way. ML because he thinks he's too flighty and distracted and messy and 'stupid' and Coffee because he thinks he's too stiff and nerdy and neat.

It's adorable, okay? And they're getting closer and closer to each other, coming together so close and so deeply in love but so unwilling to risk their friendship.

Coffee is at ML's house every day, constantly, hanging around him, cleaning up and taking care him. He's really only going home to sleep, honestly, and leaving for work. Otherwise they're together. And they both love it.

And then, one night, it's pouring. And ML asks Coffee if he just wants to stay. Yes, he drove, but the storm is horrendous and the condo is comfortable and Coffee absolutely cannot say not to anything from ML. So he agrees.

They stay up late, talking and laughing and ML bakes them treats and, eventually, they find themselves tangled on the couch. Coffee is stroking ML's hair and ML is snuggled against his chest. They're comfortable and happy and...

Coffee can't help himself. He presses a kiss to the top of ML's head. And then to his forehead. ML's eyes are closed and he's almost holding his breath. There's another kiss, between his eyes. And then on his nose. And then, finally, the softest touch and lips.

They don't need to talk. They meet eyes and they know.

And it's happily ever after. There's an epilogue/special episode about ML opening his own bakery with Coffee's support where they specifically hire employees with varying disabilities who struggle to find work and respect otherwise. All the recipes are clear but there's always the surprise drink option, where you tell ML your top three flavors and he makes you the perfect, personal drink.

Hiya there! Always wanted a vintage shop setting, they just have that special vibe of theirs. I doubt we’ll ever get a BL with them though. :(

Premise: Backstage settings with a celebrity and the ML, their stylist. Both are initially strangers and become phony friends for the sake of work.

You never know! As they make more BL, they're going to explore more ideas. I've got some hopes for some of those vibes with Enchante if/when we get it.

Idol romance!

Alright, so Idol is a famous star, originally from a boy band but now breaking into acting because he's getting 'old' (in idol terms) and wants to make sure he's still got Stuff To Do for his fanbase. He's very much a stereotypical idol, he's sure of his talent and snobby and confident AF.

And on the set of this new show, he meets ML. ML is experienced, the head stylist for this production company. ML is also confident and snobby, but beneath that is a huge insecurity that he'll never be good enough at anything to 'earn' his confidence.

It's instant dislike. They're both strong personalities and they rub against each other and don't seem to fit. But they also know the importance of public appearances. So they talk it out while Idol is being styled and decide that a fake light friendship will work to cover up any possibly issues.

So they set about faking a friendship on set.

And then they bump into each other again and again and again in the real world. Turns out they're way more alike than they expected. The more they run into each other, the more they get along, the more that fake friendship turns into a real one.

But they're in denial. Neither of them wants to admit that this fake friendship has become real. So they 'fake' it in front of people and try to keep up their private sniping at each other... only it's turned more into teasing. And then into flirting. They're still both seriously in denial, though.

Until one of ML's fellow stylists points out what's going on.

And he flips. ML absolutely does not want to do this. He's terrified of a relationship with a celebrity, let alone with someone he's working with. ML has never wanted this. He's terrified and he sets about freezing out Idol.

But Idol, in that same time, has decided that he wants to be with ML romantically instead of just as friends. And it's hugely painful to see ML suddenly pulling back and icing him out. So he does the same.

They go from fake friends to real friends to crushes to enemies... and then the show ends. The show ends and they go to new projects and they miss each other so much it hurts. But ML is scared and Idol is hurt so the enemies and ice continues.

ML falls into a funk. He hates that he's afraid and he hates that he iced out and hurt Idol who he fell in love with and he withdraws enough that everyone is worried about him. And that worry gets back to Idol.

But they're no longer working together and ML no longer goes to the places they were meeting up before and won't answer his phone or his LINE when Idol calls.

And then they're pushed back together at the show reunion a month later. ML tries to stay cold, but he's hurting himself so badly and he's lost weight and he's so, so scared... but he's also so, so in love.

Idol corners him, worried, checking on him, trying to bring back their friendship... and ML just starts crying. He's been holding everything back and sobs out a confession of love even as he tries to push Idol away again.

Only Idol isn't going anywhere this time.

Hiya there! No need to say sorry, I get nervous too when I get asks! Love the poly relationship ending, kind of reminds me of how good FUTS could be if Mork and Nan weren’t somewhat toxic. Oh Nanmorkpi my beloved..

Premise: Apartment setting where our idol ML is shortly living in for a concert. He ends up bumping into his next-door neighbor, a huge fan of the ML who coincidentally moved here to attend said concert, and they start talking. The fan pretends not to know the ML though to avoid scaring him away, and the ML is too much of a sweet and lonely idol to not befriend this stranger he me

Oh, FUTS, so much potential just thrown down the drain because Mork can't let Pi breath for a goddamn second. Seriously. Sorry, won't get started. I mean... it's the entire rest of my blog at this point lol.

Hmmm. So we've got ML trying to live incognito and the Fan trying to help him out but also get closer.

So ML is an idol and he's staying, temporarily, here. He's always wearing sunglasses and hats and trying to not be so fashionable when he's out and about. He's also just the most down to earth little sweetheart in the world.

Ironically, Fan is a spoilt brat of a character from rich parents who's never wanted or needed anything in his life. But he knows that idols hate to be recognized, so he just... tries not to fanboy all over him. Instead, he acts like the spoiled boy he is!

And Idol is just... nice. He smiles and ignores the more spoiled behavior but finds that he genuinely likes hanging out with the fan who 'doesn't know who he is'. They're practically dating, though it's secret because, y'know, Idol. But they've gotten so close, so fast and everything is just rushed and beautiful and loving.

Then the bomb drops... because Fan has BTS tickets to the concert. And when it comes time to meet the Idols, well, he's recognized instantly. And Idol covers it up because they're in public. But he's hurt. He's not just hurt, he feels betrayed.

For the first time in his life, the Fan feels guilty. And it gets worse when he goes back to home and Idol never comes back. They were supposed to meet up again and then Idol never comes back.

So Fan starts going to more concerts. And more concerts. And Idol has to talk him every time because he buys the BTS passes and spends all the money he can. Idol does his best to be professional but it hurts. Especially since Fan keeps apologizing.

Eventually Idol's bandmates/friends push him about what happened. They talk and they convince Idol to give Fan at least a chance to talk about it. So he does. And Fan practically grovels and admits it was wrong to lie and that he shouldn't have pretended but they just wanted to get closer to Idol and had fallen in love along the way and didn't know how to take back the lie.

Idol agrees to let Fan show him how he feels and to show him that he's worth trusting again. Happy ending, of course. But Fan has to go through a lot to prove everything and it ends with a huge public proposal on Idol's last day in the band and the whole world is happy for them.

Hiya there! I just came to the realization that Mork has only like.. 2 friends in the whole show.

Premise: Another university setting (cause why not) with ML and their “use-to-be” rival. Both had a huge misunderstanding and absolutely despised each other. When their friends had enough of their constant banter, they decided to trap them in a classroom to talk it out. They came to an understanding and decided that they were.. tolerable.. and decided to start at the stage 0 they never got to.

I mean, he's only been shown with two friends, it's true. But I wouldn't want to be friends with that kind of manipulative person either. And I strongly suspect that Mueng Nan is just as manipulative but in a 'nicer' way... that congratulations for the public declaration? Bleeegh.

Okay, onwards to our enemies to lovers premise with a great friendship group!

So, ML is a sporty engineer type, ended up as head hazer and is generally the right person for that. He's strict and stiff and while he does care about other people, he's also very good at pretending like he doesn't.

But Rival is very different. He's more femme and gentle and very empathetic. He's also in engineering but he's there because his father insisted and refused to allow him to study in comm arts the way he actually wanted.

They falling out happened the summer before University started. ML was excited about being an engineer and the SOTUS system and is super stoked to be hazed while Rival is much more nervous and doesn't think it's going to end well at all.

This is their miscommunication. ML is increasingly aggressive about how great the hazing system is and Rival is increasingly frustrated because he thinks it sounds really awful for him. They're at a crossroads and basically cannot get past this argument.

MONTAGE. There's an entire episode that's dedicated to their actual hazing and their extremely different experiences. ML loves it, Rival hates it... and when they see each other during the process the hatred only intensifies because they absolutely cannot agree.

Their friends are BEYOND frustrated. This is obnoxious. May, June, July and August are their friends because why not? May is the girlboss, June and July are twins who both get to have secondary couples with com arts majors (may or may not describe these, tbh) and August is token hetero boy who ends up dating a fantastically pretty engineering girl who's a 1000x smarter than him.

It takes until their second year for them to lose it, though. A full year of this infighting BS making everyone miserable and May is the one who finally suggests just... forcing it.

And that's how ML and Rival end up locked up together in a classroom with a threat to 'figure it out or starve to death' from their very dear friends.

It starts out... bad. They're still fighting, they're still yelling about the SOTUS system and the roll of the group and just... everything.

But, seriously, there's only so long you can fight. ML is the one who finally gives in. He's tired of fighting and he misses their friendship. For all that he's stricter and harder, he's also always been the one to take care of others.

Rival can't, and doesn't want to, keep the fight up one-sidedly. But he also doesn't know where to go. Which is when ML suggests restarting their friendship entirely. He just wants this to be over with, he's missed Rival and their friendship.

So they start over. Everyone is very happy that they're starting over, frankly.

What no one suspected was that Rival had a long-term crush on ML. He'd never expected it to go anywhere, fight or no fight. But after a year of fighting, a year of avoiding him and then suddenly having ML everywhere again... it's hard. It's very hard. And ML is frankly very excited to have Rival back in his friendship circle.

And, one day, both drunk at a party... Rival kisses ML. Rival is far, far more drunk than ML is, he's goofy and laughing and he kisses ML and proclaims how cute he is riiiight as he passes our drunk.

ML, June and July end up taking care of Rival, which is where ML hears about June and July's romances for the first time and starts to kind of wonder how he feels about Rival.

Rival doesn't remember the kiss at all. ML does. ML tries to talk around it, tries to get Rival to remember it but... nothing. He was blackout drunk.

But ML starts to think more. And talk more. And soon enough he's head over heels for Rival and has no idea how to say 'we've already kissed, let's start dating'.

Rival isn't exactly oblivious but he's also not exactly sure what's going on. ML is suddenly closer to him, hanging around and literally on him regularly. And it's Rival who finally stops and asks WTF.

ML, a bit reluctantly, explains the kiss and the feelings. And the insecurities come out as well. Which just makes Rival reluctant to try. So they agree to try for one month. One month of dating and then they'll talk.

The month is super up and down. There are amazing moments and horrible moments and everything in between. Right at the end of the month they end up in a fight about public affection and it looks pretty bleak to everyone outside of them. The entire friend group is losing their minds because they are not doing through this again!

And so they do the first solution that worked... they lock them in a classroom again! FULL CIRCLE.

It works again. Because forced communication does work!

Hiya there! Oh side GL couple my beloved.. is it too much to ask?

Premise: Mall setting where our ML and a stranger both get stuck in an elevator together and end up bonding. They exchange phone numbers, facebooks, line accounts, etc. once they’re freed and start chatting with each other.

I want more diverse side couples for sure. If you haven't, you should watch Stupid Boys, Stupid Love. It's an adorable Vietnam BL/GL. Short but sweet, highly recommend!

This is just a direct meetcute. So lets' build something...

ML works in the mall. He's bubbly and bright and cheerful and a great friend but an absolute disaster when it comes to romance. He's had boyfriends and girlfriends galore but he's never been dedicated and his close joke-flirty friendships with his queer friends always end up ending the relationship with jealousy.

Stranger is a soft-spoken and shy young man who's been burnt by friends and romance alike. He's a loner and takes pride in not needing other people.

When the elevator stops, they try to ignore each other. But after abut 15 minutes of no signal on their phones, talking is inevitable.

And it turns out that they like the same music, have a lot of the same opinions on TV shows and video games and generally just... have a lot in common. By the time the elevator moves, they're sitting on the ground together and chatting about their favorite restaurants.

Obviously, they finally get out and exchange contact info. It's rather unexpected and all of ML's friends are suspicious. They've at least heard of Stranger or seen him around their university.

But ML doesn't care. He starts hanging around with Stranger all the time. They chat and they laugh and they watch shows together. But Stranger refuses to hang out with ML's friends. He knows what they think of him and isn't willing to put in the work it would take to change their minds.

So now ML is torn between his growing crush on Stranger and the group of friends that have always supported him. He isn't willing to give up his friends... but he knows that they're not being fair to Stranger either.

(Now, in a real Thai BL, ML would probably make a bunch of asshole choices to force Stranger to hang out with his friends and get proven right I'm not bitter about FUTS at all but this is my show so that doesn't happen.)

ML offers to just bring a single friend, to introduce Stranger to his friends carefully. And so begins an odyssey, a journey of introducing Stranger into this tightly knit queer group. That's most of the story, honestly. Stranger and ML get together pretty easily, but to stay together they need to make this work with ML's friends.

Some take more easily to Stranger but several are resistant to him, not wanting anything to do with the loner. It's a slow process and there are fights and Stranger wants to give up and stop, he's never cared about having a lot of friends and he's just so, so tired.

But ML supports Stranger and holds him and helps him take each step...

And in the end, in the end, Stranger is part of their group. Will he ever be the tightest of friends? Probably not. But he's accepted. And he finds support he never thought he wanted or needed or could have.
