Tate (pre-death): Tate tends to spend alot of time at your house especially when he needs to get away from Constance and he knows you'll welcome him with open arms. Your house feels much more like a home than his own. since hes over so often you keep stock of his favorite foods and drinks and you have tons of his clothes and records so he doesn't have to bring them over everytime he comes. If he needs to talk or even just sit in silence with someone you're always there and it means alot to him.

Kit: Kit's a family man so of course seeing you and the kids happy together is gonna make his heart melt. one morning, not long after you had gotten together, you were laying in bed, fingers grazing over kit's soft skin when you pulled yourself out of his grasp shushing him when he began to protest. when he finally pulled himself out of bed after you, he found you in the kitchen making breakfast with the kids. he couldn't help the dopey grin that spread across his face as he watched his own little family in the doorway.

Kyle (pre-death): sweet Kyle,,loves to act goofy with you. his frat brothers always groan when toto comes on because you'll both sing along horribly to it (especially if its a love song,,c'mon its cute!) like tate, he spends as much time away from his own house either staying at the frat house or your own (soon becoming your and kyles house after finding out his situation with his mother). in your more private moments, he'll always jump at the chance of being wrapped up in your arms and melts as you run your hands through his hair, feeling your body shake against his as you laugh at his jokes. he always feels safe with you.

Jimmy: sure he's a big flirt and is pretty experienced but romance isn't something jimmy is too used to. darling boy isn't typically the one to recieve all the attention and some of the romantic things you do never fail to make him flustered (even more so when you tease him about the scarlet blush covering his cheeks and even the tips of his ears.) when you grab his hands and press light kisses to them (anywhere to his palm, tips of his fingers ect,) he reminds you of a deer in headlights. and alot like kit, his family means alot to him so seeing you all treat each other as such always makes his heart swell.

James: (ty for @tatestripedsweater for the help with this one <3) James will always jump at the chance to slow dance with you, even if theres no reason to. he'll put one of his favorite records on and pull you close, basking in your warmth as you sway together. he also loves when you get up with him in the morning and help him get ready, tying his tie for him when he wears one (which you learned to do so just for this) and fixing his shirt collar before pulling him down, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. (sometimes the tie is discarded but its fine, he thinks it looks better on you anyways,,)

Rory: Rory is constantly talking you into running his lines with him. sure he can do it himself but thats no fun. its definitely one of his favorites things to do with you and you both get way too into it. 100% theatrical mode its all very dramatic (and 100% goofy, he goofs off just to see you break character and laugh.) you both end up curled up (more like cramped) in the loveseat together, limbs entangled despite the fact that theres a couch next to you. (he just wants to be close to you as possible okay?)

Edward: you're constantly bringing home gorgeous art pieces for him just to see his eyes light up at the sight of them (and though he doesn't say it you're always his favorite thing to look at and admire.) he also insists on nightly baths together where he can finally relax and not worry about a thing.

Kai: there's not really anything that makes kai 'melt'. one of the more intimate things you do with him though, is coloring his hair and washing it for him. you're always gentle as to not tug on it, fingers running through long locks and against his scalp (he won't admit it and you definitely won't bring it up if you notice but his eyes sometimes drift close at your soft touch. you can't help the smile that spreads across your face though.)

Gallant: Gallant is always a sucker for being spoiled (i mean- who isn't) whether it be gifts or physical affection. you try to surprise him with new jewelry often and you love how excited he gets and he's always loves to do your hair for you when you need him to. he won't hesitate to drape himself across your lap at any time and loves when you press yourself up against him or wrap your around him when he's near. if you stand up to his nana for him boy will probably fall (more) in love with you right then and there.

Peter: not many people really pay him any attention or give him validation but he never has to ask for it with you and it kind of catches him by surprise sometimes. he tends to doubt himself a lot too but you're always quick to reassure him. when he hasn't roped you into some prank or taken you halfway across the world, you spend alot of time listening to music together. he insists on using his cassette player and headphones no matter how difficult it may be so he can be pressed up close to you.

OK, gender crisis time. All my life I've been comfortable being a cis girl. I had physical dysmorphia about my chest, and my voice is naturally deep so in high school theatre I often acted in male roles, but other than that I was like 100% cis.

I've been wanting to get a reduction because 1) of my dysmorphia and 2) it's really hard to fell confident doing active stuff when your tits are jiggling like an anime girl's from moving too much. This Thanksgiving, my mom said she wasn't morally opposed to the idea anymore.

And suddenly I find myself in a whirl of gender nonsense that can be summed up more or less by this: "I can remake myself. I can look like the person I really am. Wait. WHAT AM I?"

So now Im wondering if perhaps nonbinary fits me better or if I'm just overreacting, and I want to try acting more NB but now my dysmorphia has turned to dysphoria like "no matter what, everyone will think you're a girl because of your chest, even if you only speak in your lowest register and wear boys' clothes and get rid of all your other feminine habits" BUT I DONT WANT TO GIVE UP MY OTHER HABITS. I like being cute and I like wearing purple and I like spinning and dancing when I walk so now Im wondering if I'm really just saying Im NB to be quirky and I dont know what the hell I am anymore. I like being a girl but I hate that I look like a girl but I love my body except my chest and I like using they/them pronouns but I'm just being a drama queen but if I were just being dramatic for the sake of being dramatic it wouldn't hurt so much, right?

Literally tho you can remake yourself. You can change ur name and body and gender and pronouns and your hair and clothes literally man, do whatever the hell you want!!!

Listen no matter what you are a valid nonbinary person. Even if you’re feminine, even if you like purple and you like dancing even even even even if, you are nonbinary and valid.

Hmmm dunno how to tell you this mate but like. Obsessing over whether or not you’re nonbinary? Not very cisgender of you there

Here’s a post on gender dysphoria you might wanna read, it might help you understand your experiences better. I’d also suggest reading through the links of other people’s experiences.

“Just overrreacting” is a fear many trans/nby people have, but I promise you, you’re not overreacting, okay? If you wanna be nonbinary you can be nonbinary.

You’re not doing it “just to be quirky”—why would you fake smth that makes you worry this much? It doesn’t make sense, you’re not doing it to be quirky if it’s giving you this much stress.

You don’t have to give up your other habits!! You don’t have to at all!! Be feminine, like pink and purple and dance and and spin and present however makes you feel the most comfortable!! You’re still a valid nonbinary person if you’re feminine!!

Also like...if you do get a reduction/get top surgery, then like, your chest won’t be as prominent. It isn’t permanent, yknow, and you won’t look like this forever if you choose not to. You can choose to get too surgery/get a reduction, you can choose to bind if you want, like if you hate your chest this much you can literally just be like “begone breasts” and get a reduction like it isn’t permanent!! Like literally if u want to u can just get rid of them

And remember that if you’re nonbinary your body is a nonbinary body. Not a girl body. Yknow why? Because ur nonbinary and it’s ur body, that means it’s a nonbinary body!

And know that no matter what there will Always be people who will perceive u as your correct gender and will think of you as nonbinary, whether it be the trans community or online friends or people you’re out to, you are not doomed to Forever and Always be perceived as a girl by everyone. As another trans person ik it feels like that sometimes but there will Always be people who will know you as the right gender kay? 

Just because you like being a girl doesn’t mean you’re not nonbinary. Being trans/nby isn’t about hating your AGAB but instead being happier as another gender.

Does being nonbinary make you happy? Congrats, you can be nonbinary!!

Now, anon, what I want you to do is take a deep breath, and disregard everything you’ve ever thought about your gender. All of it. Doesn’t matter. What terminology you use, dysphoria, pronouns, everything. And I’m going to ask you one question.

What makes you feel happy?

You don’t need to obsess over your gender. Stop asking yourself “what gender am I?” and ask yourself, “what makes me feel happiest and truest to myself?”

Does being trans make you feel happy? Be trans! Does being nonbinary make you feel true to yourself? Be nonbinary. Does using they/them make you happy? Use they/them! Chase the happy feelings and things will fall into place. Happiness first, labels second.

My advice, try on the label. Say “I’m nonbinary,” see how it feels! Either it’ll fit, which is awesome, I’m so happy for you!! Or it won’t fit, which is cool too!! You’re one step closer to finding a label that does!!

See, there’s this thing called gender euphoria! Basically, it’s the happiness you feel, or euphoria, when you’re called the right name/pronouns, or perceived as the right gender! As I was saying earlier, it’s about what makes you happy.

Be happy. Ily.

And remember the entire trans community is here for you and we love and support you, and no matter how lonely it might feel remember that there are so many others like you and there have been throughout history, who have lived and loved and cried and laughed, we have always been here. You are not alone. Ily.

For the character ask! Sorry this took me a while, I can't copy and paste on mobile, so I waited till I got on desktop tumblr! Thank you so much for asking about him, I could go on forever lol so this is gonna be fucking LONG. Please, anyone, feel free to ask about any other character, too. These are fun.

Why I like them: Grif is, for lack of a better word, complex. On one hand, it's like, okay he's just a funny comedy character. But on the other hand, he's like every all of my favorite archetypes of a character. He's crafty but stupid, selfish but selfless, antisocial but friendly, the straight man but the dramatic guy, he's snarky but oddly caring: the reluctant hero. It's kind of paradoxical, and I feel like not only do I relate to him, but I just really enjoy him overall. Whether it's because he's a good brother, being a complete dickbag because he doesn't know how to handle emotions, being a complete cynic on the battlefield, or being hyperactive and snappy, it's just... ah. He. Everything in his life just happens, and he has to deal with it, and yeah he'll kick and pout and probably eat everything but in the end, he's gonna choose his family and he cares deeply... even when he can't really show it.

Why I don’t: I see this a lot in myself too - the fact that he's impulsive and inherently negative when he speaks specifically. his words don't match his actions. He often doesn't hesitate when it comes to making negative comments because they are easier than saying something nice, but what his intentions are are completely different. in other words, he's a jerk, lol. Especially in season 15. I know people felt bad for him because he was partially right and went insane on Iris, but he lowkey deserved it. He said he hated his friends, and even his closest friend. He didn't want to admit that he was a good person just because he didn't want to help. yeah, it was valid, but he needs to learn how to make a case without fucking everyone emotionally and being so clammed up. >:/ sometimes it feels like he regresses in character, as much as he's matured. i guess that's realistic and just the writers making comedy, but also the way he handles Doc specifically irks me. so mean spirited for no reason, as funny as it is.

Favorite episode (scene if movie): OH MY GOD, okay, literally, every single episode with Grif starring as a main is fucking gold. I think for this I'm going to say, uh, This One Goes to Eleven. Even though it's not Grif-centric, it's the episode that's my favorite overall because it introduced me to RvB and made me like Grif right away, simply because he was attacked so much and I felt so bad for him. Another great one that sticks out right now in my sleep deprived state, is Grif does a Rescue. Augh. And the episode where Grif and Simmons get stuck underground in the caves.

Favorite season/movie: Season 8 (shotgun!!!, hyperactive ai grif), Season 11 (hanging in the canyon with simmons), Season 4 (the tank and blue simmons w/ grif), Season 5/6 (kai and rat's nest), Season 12/13 (the recruits, grif building the snowmen), Season 14 (backstory with simmons, Room Zero), Season 15 (you know why)

Favorite line: OK, don't make me choose. There are SO many that are good!!! I think one of my most favorite things that Grif says is "yoink!" It's so adorable! I also really enjoy "BLUEEE TEAAAAM SUCKKKKKS" with his epsilon double, the whole "invisible nap" scene, "what are we, on a date?"/"I can tell you what we weren't doing", "no one made me, I made me", "WERE GONNA FUCKING DIE" when charging at the meta, "that's a figure of speech?" [when carolina says im so hungry i could eat a horse is a figure of speech], "dexta grif he who shall not be messed with!"... I'm sure I'm missing a lot, he has SO many snarky funny lines, but these are some off the top of my head.

Favorite outfit: LOL THIS IS SUCH A FUNNY QUESTION BECAUSE THIS IS RVB. HAHAHA. Uh. Season 6 probably. I just like Halo 3 Graphics. Also s14 Room Zero because THEY DREW HIM FAT CANONICALLY. THANK YOU.

OTP: I'm with the majority of people in the fandom who like Grimmons! I think Grimmons is the only ship that I really vocally ship with my whole heart besides OC ships. I just very much enjoy their dynamic -- it's very angsty, dialogue full, intimate yet so unspoken. It's just a really good pair to write about and see the development of through canon. And, not to mention... season 15... hrk...

Brotp: I really REALLY want grif/tucker, grif/church, grif/locus BROTP. SO SO SO BAD. I've always seen grif and tucker as bros, grif and church are HILARIOUS together and we were ROBBED of more time together, and grif and locus are fucking adorable.

Head Canon: I have a lot of headcanons about Grif, but one of my favorite ones is that he has half-lidded eyes, like he's always sleepy. I also headcanon him as bisexual, though I think that is a popular headcanon!

Unpopular opinion: I dunno if I have super unpopular opinions about Grif... maybe that I think that his labryinth wasn't as bad as it seems at first? A lot of people seemed to think that though, yknow. Like if you look deeply into it, it's actually kinda fucked. But I feel like we should have gotten the Hawaii scene anyways. Hm. I also didn't like how they altered the canon so that Grif wasn't drafted. I think it does add something to his char that he chose to go, but I always really liked the aspect that Grif didn't control that, and yet he still did this on purpose. He was good on purpose.

A wish: A badass Grif carchase scene for the love of FUCK. We need to have him drive more stuff !!!!!!!!

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Have him betray the reds -- i think every other red has betrayed the team at some point. please god for the love of god dont do this to grif. it really adds and says something about his character that he doesn't ever betray his team.

Always on his life he kept seing his parents affection towards each other, subtle or not.

As a toddler he would always point it out how gross it was to seing his father sneak a kiss on his mother, leaving him a but jealous since he was VERY attached to his mom.

But when the years went by, he saw that this was quite normal. Despite his dad being a mysophobic and clean freak, he always joked about hiw he reminded him of one of his favorite characters and every time Chisski would scowl at his son, completely offended.

Many times Kaito doubted that his father really loved his mother due to his personality... but now he noticed how wrong was he.

Dad was brute, bold and even acting like a soulless being in front of others, especially strangers; Pops and uncle Kurono he was a but more vanilla but he never once saw him smilling or not spilling a sarcastic or even rude comment at them.

With mom though? God how he changed. He had that soft and little dpark on his eyes whenever he only looked at her, bathed her in gifts even despite her protests. Even having his mysophobia, always checking his family to see if they did their basic cleaning, he would always touch you without a second thought.

Pops and uncle Kurono often sayed that she kept him 'grounded'. His grandfather always letting clear that (Y/n) saved Kai from a possible dark path on his life, that she was his Yin and Chisaki was her Yang.

He snickered often at that, remind that his parents had matching hidden necklaces with those symbols. Not believing that such a thing was possible to even happen again.

His parents were a exception. His mom and dad, even despite being completely opposities, they were together and still had that same fire on their relationship.

So much as a proof that he had a little sister later....

But... now? As he looked at his childhood friend simply talking about how her father, his godparent, had teached her how to use a gun just yesterday, he noticed something... different spreading through his chest.

He felt... weird per see. Haru was just talking for God's sake, yet he was paying attention he felt more attracted by the way her eyes lifted up.

He made the mistake of going to talk with his father about it, not mentioning still who it was that made him feel like that.

Chisaki just stopped abruptly his reading as he let the taxes on his hands fall on his desk.

"... You're sick." He answered, making Kaito freeze yet emit a cinfused as fuck sound, and a bit offended.

"You've got sick. The same illness that I got some years ago." He said nonchalantly while staring at his son numbly.

"What the hell dead? No, im not." He answered with the same expression, before he open his mouth on a 'O' shape when Chisaki sighed in irritation and showed his son the ring that was on his hand.

Shit. That illness.

It couldn't be. Haru was his childhood friend as long as he could remember. And the comments of buying things for her coming from his father didn't helped one bit.

He found himself completely lost. But still went to talk with his mother, someone who could talk feelings better than his dad for sure.

The laughter she gave when he told what his dad commented about the illness had eased him up a bit. His mother was always not only his but the sorce of comfort for the Chisakis in general. His sister, his father....

Although for his dismay she had agreed with his dad. He was in love.

"Dear gosh my soldier even with dealing with feelings you are the spitting image of your dad!" She giggled while carresing his dark brow looks.

"Don't say that mom. Please." He grimaced.

He wasn't that similiar with his father.

Now, with both his parents opinion... he needed to prove that. He needed to be sure he truly was feeling those strange yet suffocating feelings his mom and dad had told him about.

Haru was just talking about the aim of a gun or something about how she was practicing parkour and almost scared the shit out of her dad... before he brought his hand to her chin, noticing the sudden blush on her cheeks appearing at his action.

"U-uh... Kaito-kun?" She asked with uncertain.

She had developed a huge damn crush with the boss's son. Even dsring to talk about it with her auntie and Kin... but never really had the courage of saying to the boy himself.

He squinted his eyes a bit as he seened to examinate her face with caution... before he slowly aproached and placed his lips over hers.

The joilt of electricity he felt was strong. Really strong. But yet... good. He worried for a second when Haru had gasped but soon melted, bringing caustiously her arms to wrap around his neck.

He grunted when she accidentally gripped abit too tight but had awkwardly used his free arm to envelop her midsection while his hand was still on her chin.

When both separated Haru was just as red as a rose, taking her arms off from Kaito to cover her mouth as she started to make scream on then.

"... Dramatic." He pointed out numbly as she looked at him with wide eyes.

"W-what was that for?!"

"Is true." He breathed out, smirking a bit after before looking at Haru "I am in love with you. Forgive me for taking too long to notice Haru."

She gagged, takinga few minutes to breath in and out to regain her composure. With a embarrased smile she returned to look at those soft yet serious (E/c).

"Really?"

"Yeah. Its been months already that I'm trying to figure it out." He said while bringing a hand to scract the back of his neck. "Might as well talk with uncle about me wanting to be your partner or else he will shoot me." He snickered at Haru's laugh.

"You bet. But I guess I am in the more prejudicial side. After all you are the son of Overhaul, auntie (Y/n) and Kin already know but your father might be a-"

"Wait wait. Hang on" he lifted his hands up for her to stop as his face looked normal but his eyes spotted how hotrified he was "My mom and sister knows about this?"

"I might have told them that I had a crush on you when I was 10?" She shrugged with a uncaring expression.

"... you caved my grave woman."

Bonus:

You and Pops dropped the cups of tea you both had in your hands while Kai and Hari's eyes almost fell fron the way they had widen. All the adults with their jaws wide open while Kin yelped in joy and went to give her sis sis a hug.

"...Uh. saying something would be... apreaciated?" Kaito spoked with worry on his voice at seing the reaction of his parents while Haru looked at her father with worry as well.

Suddenly you yelled 'YES!' In joy laughing while Pops got up from his own seat with chuckles saying something about that they had won... while Kurono and chisaku were simply frozen.

"Huh?" The both young teenagers spoked in confusion, not getting why the elder and the woman were celebrating about.

"To explain for both of you, we all made a bet if you teo love birds were going to be together or not." Pops sayed while making his way to get a broom to clean the mess while chuckling.

Luckily there wasn't any tea on those cups....

"And we won!" You sayed in pure joy, giggling at your husband's pretified expression along with his childhood friend.

"So as I can probably tell uncle and dad betted that we weren't going to end up dating?" Kaito sayed, genuily scared and worried for the mans he was usually so used to seing calm and collected with wide eyes.

"... why of all the people it had to be block head's brat..?" Kai suddenly muttered, only you and Chrono were able to hear it though.... the comment making Hari snap out of his shock.

"What was THAT supposed to mean?" He said with a frow, not even bothering with the death glare Chisaki sended him.

Okay TROS thoughts...here we go. I’m putting them all below the cut in case somehow you’ve avoided spoilers

so general thoughts...i didnt hate it nearly as much as i thought i would so thats pleasant but im gonna break it down more

things i liked:

Adam Driver.  just Adam. Fucking. Driver my dudes. This is like a backhanded compliment because JJ is so fucking lucky Adam was cast because the emotional depth of the film rested literally all on his shoulders for me. I only felt the weight if he was acting in a scene. 

I’ll admit im biased but I did adore the interaction between Finn and Poe. Their bickering amused me and the tenderness between them was wonderful...I think Oscar played Poe a bit jealous as well which i liked.

the Reylo scenes to me where beautiful. Ben never lied to her, she tried to deny it but she knew he never did. I loved that he was kinda guiding her, protecting her, loving her, and antagonizing her all at once. I loved how soft their kiss was, their smiles are literally the light of my life. Rey’s face when she healed him. Ben just staring at her as she tells him she did want to take his hand...just chef’s kiss

I loved the saber fights. Ben’s fight at the beginning was hot as fuck...and his fight as newly redeemed Ben Solo was even hotter somehow.

 I enjoyed the fight scenes between ben and rey! how often ben just let her walk away, and despite that one scene which i will mention below...i like i even tho rey was rather aggressive idk...it didnt really feel like she was trying to hurt him much either? i just think they had a lot of chances to kill each other and didnt take it...so i like that

i knew she was looking at ben in that clip i knew it...she only makes that soft face at him

I always enjoy stupid ass C3PO jokes for some dumbass reason

Han and Ben’s scene was heartbreaking and beautiful. Again tho JJ is fucking lucky to cast Adam cause recycling dialogue from TFA wouldnt have worked at all had Adam not been so fucking amazing

the save chewie hall blaster scene was fun 

i liked how fucking dramatic children ben and rey were with that damn ship lol...no im gonna force pull it...no im gonna...what dorks

while i didnt like the entire way the force bond was used i did enjoy seeing it still strong and growing

confirming canon soulmate reylo was a highlight

the visuals of the film were most of the time stunning 

sooooo...now to what i didn’t like:

I think this first one is the most obvious for those who know me but...Ben’s death just feels so utterly useless to me. especially when they gave him a metaphorical death earlier in the film. i feel extremely hurt and betrayed. Disney has gone out of their way to make us sympathize with Ben Solo. They’ve revealed more and more of his past...how alone he was, the abuse he suffered from snoke and palpatine. just fuck...they just kill him...the moment he realizes he’s free and loved they end his life....literally WHAT THE FUCK. it’s a chicken shit way out of a redemption arc honestly. Not letting u just breath after his death was also so horrible. We barely got to see Rey mourn, we got a split second of it then it jumped to another scene...another second of her looking sadly at her sabor to have the moment interrupted 

tag on to above but...they didnt have him as a force ghost cause Disney is intentionally keeping where he is ambiguous so they can sell more shit which pisses me off so much

thats not how the force works

there couldnt have been that many sith could there??? cause like there can only be 2 at one time....fucking rule of 2 so how the hell were there that many

palps being like...see i actually want you to kill me...is ridiculous

rey palpatine is the most idiotic thing i have ever heard. Rey being a no one from no where was such an amazing thing. Just anyone can be strong in the force...you dont need royal blood to make you worth something....then they just retcon that??? the fuck I MEAN THE FUCK. 

Finn does nothing but worry about Rey the whole film. I know folks dont like his storyline in TLJ and while i understand that and do think it could have been written better i still adore it because Finn grew. He grew from just caring about a small group of people to caring about an idea to caring about something bigger than him. I didnt see any growth in his character in this film. His heroics were beautiful to see and I enjoyed seeing his heart but that was John’s acting more than the writing it think. 

sidelining rose was fucking disgusting 

the trio felt forced to me

the leia scenes didnt work for me honestly and they mostly just made me sad

bringing in lando now felt weird 

ive wanted force sensitive finn for a while but didnt feel right

why the fuck have finn want to tell rey something but never do...ugh i hate storytelling like that

they never explained how palps is back...he just is

rey stabbing ben felt odd to me. i loved the moment when she healed him, and i know technically her anger and darkside was coming out and she acted on instinct...nevermind that even before leia called out to him ben coudnt follow thru with the killing blow. 

....i’m sure i’ll think of more as i get angrier 

anyways over all...id be lying if moments didnt make me laugh or smile...if i didn’t feel a sense of nostalgia and enjoyment for 80% of this movie. The thing is that even with so much of it being enjoyable to me it still felt void. An action movie, with new characters, a confusing plot and very minimal emotional depth.

The emotion hinged soooo much on Adam or me. The biggest reason for that aside from that fact that Ben Solo is one of my all time favorite characters, is that the things Rey is dealing with in the film are directly related to her being a palpatine...and i HATE THAT. Like straight up wanna fling it into the sun. 

Rey never needed to be related to a force royal bloodline. She should have been allowed to remain strong because she was just strong. Kylo’s equal in every way, not because she was the granddaughter of a sith which btw you can’t inherit force powers. Retconing something so touching and unique from TLJ was just...fucking idiotic. All to please the loud but small misogynistic fandom that thought a woman couldnt be that strong on her own so she must be related to someone

The biggest thing....tho is killing Ben. it felt so unnecessary and just...i feel so betrayed. The interviews leading up to the film got my hopes up that i was worried for nothing. I always thought they’d kill him, because cinema seems to not know what to do with characters has tragic as him without just killing him in the end. we already got a redemption = death plotline in this franchise...why couldnt we get a redemption = life instead??? My friend who doesnt even like sw that much...tros was actually the 2nd sw fim she’s ever seen...thought it was unnecessary as well and agrees with me a lot about my feelings despite not having the same intense emotional attachment to him as me. She for a moment thought they’d be together at the end but nope. Its just...pointless to me now, the sacrifices han, luke, and leia made to reach Ben are for nothing. Their deaths...pointless...Ben means so fucking much to me. I’ve never felt such an intense emotional bond with a character before so im just hurting so fucking much right now.

Rey taking the name Skywalker isnt hopeful or cute its a slap in the face honestly...and it’s just weird! 

The last Skywalker died loved and held by the woman he loved and that is beautiful to me. He died happy and a hero thats a balm at least...but to not let him be the one to kill palpatine...after everything EVERYTHING he put him and his family thru was another just fuck...i wanted justice for him and he just got thrown away

Ultimately...Ben and Rey are soulmates and their force bond was severed. Palpatine didnt take that from them because he couldnt have...again not how the force works....but JJ used that bond to be a battery???? the fuck...but ultimately hes forcing Rey to live the rest of her days with a gaping wound in her soul. a wound unable to be filled and will be with her for the rest of her life...thats so fucking tragic to me. you give rey someone who is her equal, who understands her, and you take him from her and force her to be alone for the rest of her life?? and we are supposed to not see that as a tragedy? Her being fineishness at the end of the film seemed like direction from either the writing or in the moment, but just further proves he didnt bother to even understand the lore he was using. Force bonds were considered i quess legends in the current SW canon but Rian brought it back...so it’s back. and well

You chuckled as the two girls passed by you, clearly struggling with catching up with their dogs. You nudged your foot towards your left where your lazy dog lies.

"Oi, Hunnie-yah. Why don't you run like them? It's fine with me, you know. FYI, I'm the fastest runner in our--"

Your proud smiling face turned into a frowning one as your dog's butt appeared in your sight, walking away from you. Hunnie was obviously not interested listening to his owner.

You sighed annoyed as you followed your dog. Irony, right? Your dog should be the one who's following you but it's the other way round. How saddening.

"Yah, Hunnie! Can't we just be formal here? I'm your owner, for dog foods' sake! Don't just turn your fat butt on me, arasseo?!" You told your dog as if you're a mother who's scolding her child.

Your dog, Hunnie, has its ears up as it stopped on its tracks and glanced at you. Your eyes brightened with hope as Hunnie started walking towards you. You don't know if it's just in your imagination but you noticed, Hunnie's eyes were filled with admiration, like when you give him a plate full of meat. Yes, he just likes the meat not you.

Thinking of your fantasy, that you and your dog will finally make up after years of continuously fighting like cat and dog (no pun intended, you are a cat person after all), you dramatically kneeled down on both knees and opened your arms, expecting Hunnie to jump into them.

But of course, fantasies only exist in our minds. As fast as a racing car, your fantasy was shattered by screaming, shrilling, squealing (and many more synonyms) of what you presumed by teenage girls, or even gays because you certainly heard a deep voice shouting, "I love you, oppa!".

You were instantly brought back to reality. The reality that your dog wasn't really walking towards you, but towards to what or who is behind you. It hurtch.

You were about to call your dog to come back when you heard the heavy footsteps of running feet were coming nearer at your place. You, who's still kneeling in the middle of the street like a crazy woman, snapped your head behind you. There, you saw a huge stampede of what you presumed again, hyper fangirls. Your now wide eyes went to Hunnie, who's still walking in a daze towards the stampede without any knowledge of what in the dogs' world could happen to him once he get stepped on by those girls.

You felt like you're in a slow motion as you clumsily reach out for your dog with your knees still connected to the floor. (Stupid, I know)

I need to protect him... at least.

Despite of the pain you felt on your knees as they slide awfully on the rough and uneven cemented floor of Gangnam's street, you were still determined to stretch your hands towards the tail of your dog.

But unlike in some superhero movies, you couldn't save the one who's in danger.

The crowd of girls was already in front of your dog. Your head bumped on your tired arms as you closed your eyes, not wanting to see what's in front of you. The hope that was in your eyes before, is now gone.

"YAH! I think that's enough running, huh? Oppa's tired already and I really need a break. Do you want oppa to be flat and dead as a fallen leaf? Now go home, my loves."

Your eyes closed tightly as a man's deep voice shouted softly, if there's even a soft shout. It's like he just want them to go away but can't get his emotions take over him. It seemed like his pleading was effective, the stampede stopped, just three 12 inches rulers away from you.

"But oppa--"

"No. Go now."

"Aww. We just want to know where you'll be--"

"This is a private matter of my life. I don't want anyone interfering in my life... yet."

Soon, you heard the slowly fading footsteps of the crowd. You breathed out the air that you were unconsciously keeping in your throat.

You abruptly pulled yourself up to find your snob dog before the sun sets, when you heard a bark which you recognized as Hunnie's.

Your eyes went wide, not because you felt afraid that your dog might just hurt and bite someone, but because Hunnie's bark right now wasn't like the ones he used to bark at you. Hunnie's bark sounded lovingly and friendly.

Your heart broke, thinking that a stranger has managed to get into your own dog's good side when the owner herself can't.

You carefully sat down and dusted your dirty clothes. You're really scared to look at the silhouette you had a glimpse of earlier in front of Hunnie. Your dog might just jump into the person's arms and let him be taken away from you. It hurtch again.

"Excuse me, miss? This is your dog, right?"

You bit your lip as you nodded, still finding the rough floor interesting and dumbly sitting on the dusty street. (Yes, you're still sitting on that stupid floor) If you weren't in this state, you would totally swoon over his manly voice.

"Can you stand-- Holy sh.. shawarma! You-your knees!"

In the middle of your dark and cold ambiance, warm and comforting arms enveloped your small, fragile frame and weak state. His strong but sweet smell almost hypnotized you. You were gaping at the heavenly scent. The person carefully guided you to stand up without hurting your knees and put one of his arms on your waist, the other holding your hand.

"Are you comfortable with this?"

You shook your head in disapproval. Your arm felt like it's stretching too much and your knees were almost crouching. I don't if that's comfortable for you.

"Okay then."

You suddenly felt yourself ascend into the arms of this not really bulky guy but...

Instinctively, your arm flung their way to his neck and held onto him as if your life depended on it. (Excuse me, this is not taking advantage of this young man's innocence. Or it may be. ㅋㅋㅋ)

You felt his sturdy chest vibrate as he chuckled at your action. You finally noticed how close you are to him right now and leaned away.

"Are you comfy now?"

Your cheeks reddened even if you tried to control it, you can't. You firmly nodded and looked around as he walked towards the park. You still haven't seen this guy's face, so you still don't know if he is a drop-dead gorgeous man but you can't help but to think he is, considering how loud and desperate his fans were.

"Arf! Arf! Arf!"

Your eyes widened for the nth time of the day, but immediately searched for your dog that you have forgotten for a while.

"Hunnie, are you okay? You're not hurt like your clumsy owner, are you?" Seeing it below, just beside the guy's feet, it was innocently glaring at you. You scoffed at it.

"Aish. This dog is really annoying. How can you just leave me alone, huh?! This is your fault." You ranted as you glared back at your dog. It seems like Hunnie really likes this guy, with it still following him like this guy is its real owner.

You were just about to rant continuously when the guy laughed loudly, as if no one is around but himself. In a split-second, you bravely turned to him, ready to give him a very long lecture about how to respect girls and remind him not to cut you off with his annoying but cute laugh. But as you opened your mouth, your jaw dropped along with your soul. You can even hear wedding bells ringing already.

"You're really amusing. First, you were like a knee-wounded poor girl who lost her voice, then one second you turn into a worried mama-dog and then another second, you blame the innocent dog for everything."

You held your head down in shame as his words shot your skull.

With his good convincing, you just nodded again, feeling like you just lost in some debate. You told him the directions and stopped in front of the two-story modern house, it's not that big and fancy but this is your one and only home, your dorm.

"Well, this is my stop. Thank you for uh.. carrying me here. I really appreciate your kindness and you can just put me down-- HEY! You can't go inside! Stop!"

You started panicking as he walked calmly inside of your opened gate. You face-palmed yourself for not closing it before you went out. Your aunt will totally flip--

"OH, Kai-ssi! You're finally-- Y/N?! What happened to you?! Oh goodness, now you're bleeding, what's next?" Your aunt was used to this sight of you. You were always the troublemaker kind of girl and boy, you are just an accident-prone person.

"Kai, can you put her down on the couch? I'll just get the first aid kid. I'll be back."

Your aunt obviously knew this guy. If Kai, as what your aunt calle him, was another guy, she might have already called the police and nagged at you for being careless.

"So... you know my aunt?" You awkwardly started the conversation as Kai carefully put you down.

"Actually, I think this is just fate working."

"Hmm?" You looked back at him with questioning in your eyes.

"This is the dorm I'm moving into today. I'm sure I'm your new dorm-mate."

Your eyes met with his, giving you the chance to see his chocolate orbs of eyes. His eyes are so beautiful and clear that you can you can clearly see your reflection.

"Hi, dorm-mate. I'm Kai, at your service."

He just had to wink and grin, you almost had a heart attack.

at first wu wants them to fight longer and shit but hes OLD so who cares and theres probably conflict on thatbut kai and cole are old enough to realized they dont have to be controlled

so they get married, symbolically if anything, because they've been dating for probably a little over a decade now and known each other even longer, AND been living together for the same amount of time

theyre the first of the ninja to settle down, and they buy a small house in a village thats maybe an hour away from ninjago city

the tininess of the house is made up for by the largeness of the yard, where cole likes to garden, especially fruits and vegetables

cole works as a stay at home free lance artist, doing stuff like commissions, book covers, comics, etc for moneykai does something that puts his charisma to use, probably something in business that lets him advertise and talk a lot..he could never settle down for a stay at home job or anything, even with all his thrilling ninja stories

they have enough money from donations and awards to thrive off these jobs, and ninjago probably pays them kind of like retirement

cole cooks for kai so he always has a meal ready when hes home, so then kai cooks on the weekend

anyways, they have two kids, about 3 years aparti haven't figured them much out yet, but kai and cole cook and bake with themcoles parenting style is very protective and rather spoils them, while kai lets them do whatever as long as its not immediately dangerousthey balance each other out well, so their kids grow up loved and well rounded

moving on to the other ninja who also start to settle down,jay doesnt really want kids, so he passes on his powers with ~science~ or something, but only when hes a lot olderhe does engineering at borg industries or something, and he messes around a lot but gets away with it bc hes the blue ninjahes like kai and coles kids Fun Uncle, since he lives in a big apartment in downtown ninjago city, with a bunch of cool techkai and coles family often take elongated road trips therejay thinks hes a cool relative but besides being super lenient hea actually kind of embarrassing lol

nya settles down a bit later than the rest of them, because she wants to live her ninja days to the fullesti could go on about my domestic samurai au but her and pixal have a kid who gets nyas water powersnya is much more eager to train her kid than cole and Kai are (they want to start properly training thwir children when theyre like 16, much to wus disappointment)nya doesn't force anyrhing on her kid but she doesnt protect her kid from the fact they'll have to train sooner or latershes determined on still changing the world, so she's a strong political leader, with innovative ideas who doesnt approve of ninjagos government and wants to change it for the betterShe also lives in downtown, but isn't as fun as jayher kid is younger than kai and coles, but kai and coles kids look up to them because they're very independent and skilled! their mom is also super cool, but not in a silly way. she rocks leather jackets and drives her kid around on a motorcycle

lovelypeaches08/28/2019zane is tricky for me...i like to imagine him sticking with lloyd to being a ninja or whatever, since hes going to be alive a lonnggg timehe also wants to respect wus wishes, so he teaches students and fights alongside lloydhe does so much less however, and finds a lot of time to visit his friends

kai and coles kids are shy around him at first, him being a nindroid whose still a ninja, but hes so much nicer and softer than expectedhe always brings them presenrs and enjoys quality time with them, so he's basically their favorite uncle

now lloyd continues his master training, to become the next master after wu dies. hed be the one to guide the next generation of elemental masters as well as their parents in training thembut don't worry, he gets a break too, since the other ninja help him out. hes much less burdened then wu was in the later years of his lifeok thats all i think

little boy whos like 3 and super wide eyed and excited and loves pink (when he foudn out zane at one point had a pink gi he asked if he could get one too)older girl around 6 whos a big daddys girl and loves to garden with cole and make mud piez

the little girl is the fire em - she had temper issues linked to autismz which they worked through her with early and never thought of it but she has a big passion for gardening they mistook for elemental connection when rly she just LUVS IT

little boy is em of earth - hes a natural born leader and stubborn, wide eyed and excitable. again bc they worked w both their kids about their tempers and such they never realized he was just naturally good at keeping his composure. also a lot like jay keeping morals upnaturally strong but both their kids are and i hc the super strength doesnt come in until peubertyz

shes a bit of a late bloomer with em powers but one day their little boy accidentally makes a pot hole inside the kitchen bc he was excited over zane cookingthey took too good of care of their kids and his true potential was simple bc he was a litol kid which was im going to live my best fcuking life with friends and family *rips a hole in the ground

kai and cole are the gross sappy parents that trade kisses n their kids are like thats DISGUSTING youre DISGUSTINGLY IN LOVE

The minute he took them into town for new clothes it was all “Axel!” this and “hey Axel!” that, not that he minded a bit of course. It’d been a long time since he’d heard their voices, and they could drag him all over the world as far as he cared. His only real complaint was Roxas’s stubbornness.

“I already have clothes,” he huffed, folding black coated arms over his chest.

“Right, I forgot, khakis and checker print,” Axel said. “How stylish, not at all outdated.”

“Well I like them.” Roxas grinned. “And Ansem said he’d get them back for me.”

“Well just pick another couple outfits as a personal favor to me?” Axel sighed. “I can’t be seen with you like that.”

“Like you’re so much better,” Roxas said, gesturing to Axel’s new threads. Axel feigned insult, a dramatic hand to his chest.

“I’ll have you know you’ve been gone a long time, and these clothes are very in right now,” he said. “Everyone loves plaid.”

“Well I don’t know what to get at all!” Xion interrupted them both, hands on her hips and a smile on her face. “Are you two going to stop bickering and help me?”

Axel and Roxas laughed sheepishly, both rubbing the back of their necks.

The store certainly had a lot to choose from, and looking at Xion half dwarfed by a black coat they hadn’t bothered to size for her it was clear she’d never really had to dress herself before. Axel thought for a moment.

“Well, black’s definitely your color,” he said. “Though a little white would be good too, can’t be all doom and gloom all the time. And you should get some pants and some skirts, stuff you can run around in and something cute and fun, right?”

“That sounds good, Axel.” Xion beamed.

“You should just try on as many things as you can,” he said. “Now that you’ve got the chance to.”

“I’ll help you look,” Roxas offered.

“And you help him look too, he’s got bad taste,” Axel said, pointing an accusing finger at Roxas who stuck his tongue out defiantly.

“We’ll help each other, mom,” Xion said playfully.

“Good, you’ve made your mother proud.” Axel smirked, and watched as the teens ran off further into the store. The way they stopped and considered each display had him thinking he had plenty of time to run off and find some ice cream. He’d given them enough munny to shop around for awhile, and they had their phones on them. So, he left the store in search of the old ice cream shop.

Twilight Town sure had changed a lot in the short amount of time he was away, it looked nice. Axel watched kids running out of a movie showing in what had once been an empty lot, people crowding around the new bistro, but some things never changed. They were still putting up posters for The Struggle, moogles were still hassling people out of every coin, and the ice cream shop was still going strong.

“Three please,” Axel said, holding up three fingers to the attendant. While they went to get the ice cream, Axel leaned against the counter and sighed happily.

“So, you really are just going to stay here now?”

Axel gasped at the voice, twisting around so fast he almost lost balance. Not that he felt particularly balanced when he saw Isa anyway.

“You’re back,” he said, breath leaving his lungs like he’d been punched in the gut.

“I’m back,” Isa confirmed with a small smile. He was out of the damn coat, and his eyes were sea green again. That scar was still there, always would be, but it was his Isa after all.

“Well… well hey that’s great!” Axel said, smiling.

Isa rolled his eyes. “Are you really that quick to forgive?” he said quietly.

“Why shouldn’t I be?” Axel huffed. “You’re my friend, aren’t you?”

“... you’re still an idiot,” Isa chuckled.

“And you’re still a dick!” Axel shot back. “... but I kinda am too. So we can just call it even, right? No need for sappy apologies and who did what…”

“Alright,” Isa said softly, one of his hands reaching to his other arm in a nervous stance. Axel wasn’t having any of that, he grabbed both of Isa’s hands and was trying to think of something to say when the attendant held out his ice creams.

“Oh, could you actually make that four?” Axel asked.

“Always eating this stuff,” Isa laughed.

“You eat it too, you just pretend you’re too cool for it.” Axel rolled his eyes. “I seem to remember you stealing some right before the big world ending battle.”

“You had three,” Isa pointed out. “Were you really going to eat three ice creams by yourself.”

“I could!”

“How did you survive without me?” Isa pretended to sigh wearily, getting an elbow in the ribs for his troubles.

“Axel!”

Isa shrunk slightly behind Axel as Xion and Roxas ran up, bags in hand. They froze at the sight of their old co-member, peering around Axel curiously and maybe a little warily.

“Oh, hey,” Axel said carefully. “Guys uh…”

It was Xion who stepped up first, breaking the awkward silence growing between the four of them.

“... welcome back,” she said.

Isa looked shocked, then a little relieved as he shook his head and said: “you too.”

Roxas took Xion’s hand a little protectively, staring Isa down with a fiery gaze. Axel was almost worried for a second before Roxas broke into a smirk.

“Ice cream’s on you, kay?” he said.

Isa chuckled, and nodded. “Okay.”

Maybe they’d all decided to stop suffering under the Organization’s influence, or maybe after so much fighting they were just tired and wanted to have a simple day, or maybe they all just saw how much the other meant to Axel or Lea or whatever they chose to call him but either way it seemed his friends found peace easily. Remarkable considering their past.

Axel wondered if maybe Sora had just rubbed off on Roxas, it seemed like his kinda ‘friendship before all’ schtick.

Roxas and Xion ran a good ways ahead of them, turning back occasionally to urge the other two on. Roxas had a whole plan: ice cream, then taking them to see the wonders of Twilight Town, maybe catch a movie, show them all his favorite places, check out the skate store and get a new board since his old one was just data.

Axel was content just following along with his friends, wherever they were going. It was a relief to be following them and not chasing them if he was being honest.

Isa’s hand found his way into Lea’s, like it had never left. Lea grinned down at his feet a moment before yanking him in for a long overdue kiss.

“Gross!” Roxas shouted, Xion giggling at his side.

Axel rolled his eyes, flipping the kid off. Roxas and Xion laughed, and made various goofy kissy faces at the pair.

“Really now,” Isa said, pretending to be more irritated than he really was.

Axel laughed, throwing an arm around Isa and leading him up the path to follow Roxas and Xion to the clocktower.

Holiday fic

I know that a lot of characters don’t have canon religion, and I also know that it’s a possibility of either being Jewish or just not celebrating Christmas, so I am writing a fic that’s more for the holiday season that Christmas. As a Christian, I have come to acknowledge that Christmas didn’t even belong to Christians to begin with (it originated with Pagans celebrating the winter solstice and was practiced before the birth of Jesus and Jesus wasn't born in winter) so when I celebrate Christmas, I celebrate as a time to spend with family and friends (and I get gifts so...) and not as Jesus’ birthday, so when I write this, I am writing this as them trading gifts and spending time together. I don’t think it’s best to describe this as a “Christmas fic” since the characters are very diverse, so “Holiday Fic” seems more fitting.

This story is featuring, or at least mentioning, all of my OCs, and I had to update my Tumblr OC list because I forgot that my descriptions for Damien and Rich were on AO3 first and I had forgotten how I described them and had to fix it so here is the 100% accurate updated version. And I tried adding as many characters as I could, but it’s so hard and I was under pressure, so please don’t hate me. I am ageing the characters up to 18+ for reasons. And I made Dragon Fly (me essentially) Albert’s cousin because I can bend canon however I want.

It sucks, and it’s everywhere, but I wanted to get something out for the holidays. And I added a surprise at the end so you would hate me less. Please bear with me.

Jack was grateful that Jacobi let them rent the place out for the annual Holiday Party Extravaganza. They picked a day and time in December that worked for everyone’s schedule and did “Secret Santa” so everyone would get a gift. Usually, the party was at Jack’s house, but the group grew over the year, and his tiny apartment would not be able to hold everyone.

Everyone helped to move tables so the center of the floor would be cleared. Race hooked up his phone to a loudspeaker, courtesy of Albert, and played showtunes to “set the mood” for the party. Everyone dropped the presents they brought on the counter.

“Can I get everyone’s attention?” Jack was standing in the middle of the room. “First, I would like to thank Jacobi for letting us use his place to have our party.” He waited for everyone to quiet down before continuing. “I would also like to thank our new friends who joined the group this year. Hopefully we haven’t weirded you out too much.” He looked at everyone in the room. “And thank you guys for making this year the best.”

“Encore!” Sarah yelled.

Jack rolled his eyes and walked back to Katherine and kissed her cheek. “I’m excited. This is the biggest party we’ve had.”

“Yeah,” Katherine agreed. “It was nice for Jacobi to let us have it here.”

Davey joined the two and brought them both a cup of punch. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many people in a room together before.”

“Same here,” Jack said. “I just hope that it doesn’t go horribly and end with Jacobi banning us.”

“Jacobi will never ban us.” Katherine laughed at her boyfriend. “He loves us.” She pointed to the table with Race, Elmer, Spot, and Albert. “They’re acting like it’s a double date.”

“Leave them alone,” Davey joked. “Let them have fun. It’s a party.”

Spot wrapped his arm around Albert’s shoulders. “I feel like this party will be the best one yet.”

Albert looked at his boyfriend. “And why is that?”

“I don’t know. Just a thought.”

“Just a thought?” Race asked. “That’s the lamest thing I’ve ever heard come out of your mouth.”

Spot mocked laughter. “It’s not as lame as your life.”

Race pretended to be offended. “I know my life is lame, but hey!”

Romeo turned to August. "Have you ever thought about dyeing your hair?"

August shrugged their shoulders. "I never thought about it. I don't know what color would look okay."

"I think any color would suit you."

"Really?" August asked. "I don't think I would look good with any color. Green wouldn’t look good at all."

Romeo laughed. "Not green. Maybe something pastel, like lavender or a pale blue."

"Lavender? Really?"

"Yeah."

"I can see it," a voice said from behind Romeo. Mush looked over the booth at August.

"What are you doing, Mush?" Romeo asked.

"Listening to you guys obliviously flirting with each other." He had a smirk on his face.

"We aren't flirting," August said. "Please leave."

"Kay." Mush walked off laughing and went to find Kid Blink. When he found him, he wrapped his arms around his waist from behind. "Are you enjoying yourself?"

"Yeah." Kid Blink turned around and kissed his boyfriend on the top of his head. "Go have fun. It's a party."

"Says the person sulking in the corner."

"I am not sulking. I am brooding. There's a difference."

"Brooding?" Mush asked. "What are you? Batman?"

"Funny."

"RACE AND ELMER ARE UNDER THE MISTLETOE!" Smalls yelled.

Race and Elmer quickly shared a kiss, which was over as soon as it started. It caused some of the others to boo.

"That was boring!" Romeo yelled.

"Where was the passion?" River asked.

"My dead grandma kisses hotter than that!" Finch called out from the other side of the room. 

"Grow up, guys," Race said. He and Elmer sat back down with Spot and Albert. “Hey, Albert. I know that your cousin prefers to go by her nickname, but what’s her real name?”

Albert leaned in very slowly, trying to reach Race’s ear. When Race moved his ear, closer, Albert blew into it. “I’m not telling you.”

“You’re boring,” Race said, trying to get rid of the uncomfortable feeling of Albert’s warm breath in his ear.

Dragon Fly was in the corner with Katherine and Sarah, updating each other about their lives.

"How’s college, Dragon Fly?" Katherine asked. "I know that you're going for writing."

Dragon Fly quickly pulled her cup up to her mouth. "It's...college." She took a long sip from her punch. "God, college makes me want to become an alcoholic.”

Sarah held her cup out. “I’ll cheer to that.”

Liberty passed by them. “I will cheer to that as well.”

“Do you even know what we’re cheering to?” Katherine asked.

“No,” Liberty said. “But, I heard Sarah say she was cheering to something and I didn’t want to be alone.”

Dragon Fly pointed to Max, Damien, and Rich in the corner. “Go talk to them. They look really bored.”

Liberty groaned. “Fine.”

“Time for presents!” Jack called. He passed out the gifts to everyone and sat next to Katherine. “This may be our best party ever.”

She smiled at him. “I may have to agree with you on that.”

“Who got me an empty box?” Finch asked loudly. 

“You haven’t even opened it,” Buttons replied.

“It weighs nothing.” Finch shook the box in his boyfriend’s face. “Nothing.” 

“If you’re so sure it’s nothing, then open it.”

Finch rolled his eyes and ripped the wrapping paper. He opened the box and looked inside. “There’s an envelope taped to the bottom.” He pulled the envelope out and turned it over. He found text and read it to himself. “I know we’ve been dating for five years, but I just want to say....” He opened the envelope and pulled out a piece of paper. When he opened it, glitter fell into his lap. He read the paper. “The amount of time we’ve been dating isn’t important to this gift. I just wanted to mislead you into opening a glitter bomb. I love you.” He turned to Buttons. “Cute. Where’s my real gift?”

Buttons smiled. “Behind the counter. I’ll go get it.”

“That was the best fake gift I’ve ever seen,” Henry said. 

“You’re telling me,” Sniper replied.

“Hey, Finch,” Buttons said, “I need you back here real quick. You’re present is too big to move by myself.”

Finch got up, brushed glitter off of himself, and walked to where Buttons was. When he walked behind the counter, he stopped. “Buttons?”

Buttons was on the floor behind the counter, kneeling with a ring in his hand. “Finch, I know that we’re only 21, but from the first moment I met you, I knew that you were the perfect person for me. I’ve been trying for the past few months, but I couldn't find the right time. When I drew your name for Secret Santa, I knew that this was a sign. I knew that it was meant to be now. Just like I knew that we would be together. You are my best friend, my life, and my soulmate. I love you so much. Will you, Patrick Cortes, do me the honor of marrying me?”

Finch stood speechless. He was frozen with his hand over his mouth. “Is this for real?”

“It’s as real as the glitter that will not wash off for the rest of your life.”

Finch let out a small laugh, trying to hold back tears. “Yes.” He let Buttons slide the ring onto his finger and hugged him tightly. “You’ve always been dramatic.”

Mush grabbed the mistletoe and held it over Finch and Buttons. “You have to kiss now!”

Buttons pulled Finch into a kiss and rested his forehead on Finch’s. “If you thought this was dramatic, wait for the wedding.”

I needed something cute and I was like “huh, maybe a Secret Santa proposal would be cute” so I did it and I hope it makes up for the crappiness. Thanks for reading.
