What exactly were you expected to do with the information? Suddenly Orfuse is alive and stuck spending his days with, arguably, the worst Lycaon to spend even an afternoon with. That today the Senior Lycaon and Mahkir would all but tear each other apart if it meant getting back to him first. Does it even matter that you were content to carry on as you were? Visiting his grave, sharing a drink, and letting that man rest. God, doesn’t that man of all people deserve rest? What are you to do now? Worry over him until he just shows up? Pray that he shows up.

Oh, but there is so much standing in his way.

The papers that need to get graded sit in front of you in an unorganized pile that you stare at without seeing, the pocket watch in your hand gripped so tightly that your knuckles start to turn white.

Just return to business as usual, that’s what's expected. Unrealistic as it is. You rub your thumb over the dragon carving on the surface of the watch case, allowing the texture to root you back to reality. The ticking from within its casing is the only thing keeping you from descending into a spiral.

Is he in pain? What does Persep want with him?

You shake your head, gaze shifting to the watch. What Persep wants with him hardly matters, one of two trolls that will never hurt him will get their hands on him in no time. Safety will come to him.

Logic doesn’t support that. Persep would not boast if he were anything but successful.

And should Harlan get his hands on Orfuse before the slightly more reasonable alternative? The thought of him squirreled away in that horrid domain sends an electrifying shiver through you.

Surely you would be allowed to visit, as would any of his other friends. But what sort of life would that be?

Tick! Harlan would never. He fancies himself a monster, but he would never make himself the monster in his Orfuses story.

Suddenly, you push yourself away from the desk and stand, discarding the watch as you do. The thoughts weigh heavy on your mind, rationalizing Harlan of all people is a humongous feat. An award winning one.

A glass of water will wash the taste from your mouth, you think, as you make your way to the kitchen.

What if it is a continuation of how he was treated while he was sick? Thanat would not let you see that man.

You know what they say about the repetition of history.

Knock!

That would be a fight. A terrible one. Bloodshed included. It has the potential to drive Orfuse right into Harlan’s domain. Right into his arms.

That would be awful for everyone involved. Surely Thanat would not risk that. He wants redemption, doesn’t he?

The knocking becomes incessant, frantic raps that hardly leave room for a second to pass between one and the next. It’s impossible to ignore. You stare into the room you’d just exited, toward the front door. You were not expecting company today.

The usual suspects are all presently indisposed; Holitz has a packed schedule, he would be on campus all evening. Hocus has not left his crypt since he learned of the unexpected revival, you don’t blame him. Both have keys, at any rate, they would not be knocking.

You slowly make your way toward the door, running a list of visitors over in your head.

Benjin? Did something happen with Veylin in Thorezille? He would have called.

Zurven doesn’t really reach out.

Lazali is a texter, he’s been busy with his mate.

When you get to the door, the knocking stops. Whoever it is can hear you shuffling about. There is a shaky breath.

After a few seconds of silence, you hear his voice through the door. Your eyes could pop out of your head. 

“Aderae! Addy is that you?” His voice is hoarse, cracking with each syllable. He’s being so strong. Why would you analyze something like that? Are you dumb?

No matter, you’re already opening the door. Tears, the ones kept at bay from the revelation of his return, sting at the corners of your eyes.

When you swing open the door, you are met with, well, it’s him. Orfuse. God, he looks the same. He looks like he was never sick in the first place.

Orfuse makes an honest attempt of curling in on himself, arms folded together squeezing tightly at his biceps. The same way he always did when he wasn’t wearing enough layers.

“Addy?” He stares at you like you’re the ghost. 

“Orf--”

He slams into you before you can get a single other sound out of your mouth. Before you can even think of anything to say. He mumbles something into your chest that you don’t make the effort to hear. All that matters is that he found his way to your arms.

You wrap him up tightly and kiss the top of his head. You never thought you’d be able to do this again, you shouldn’t be able to be doing this right now. When he squeeze you back, however, the doubt starts to melt off of your shoulders and roll down your back.

This is undeniably your Orfuse.

He lets out another shaky breath.

“I shouldn’t be here, Aderae. This is wrong.”

“Can’t be helped now, Orf. We have to make it work.”

Orfuse pulls away, you can feel the hesitation that came along with having made the decision. He looks up at you, blinking through the tears to get a good look.

“You’re…Look at you. You’re so old now!” He finally exclaims as he reaches up to run his fingers over your bangs, taking extra care to pick out some of the grey. He was never one to let a situation stay serious for too long. Of course he would gear the conversation away from his revival.

He’s actually back. You smile.

“Ancient. Just absolutely falling apart. Time has been unkind to me, Orf.”

His reciprocation is toothy, anyone on the outside looking in wouldn’t be able to tell this man was a sobbing wreck just a few seconds ago. 

“Oh, my poor, poor old Addy.” He strokes your bangs out of the way so that he can get a better look at your face. “What am I going to do with you?”

-Erza suddenly just Remembers that she is ripped and can carry literally anything sometimes. And whenever she does she immediately picks mira up without warning. miras more of the Literal manhandler in the relationship (because that’s how you manage people when u have 2 younger siblings u literally had to raise) but erza is just like …. pick up wife……….. soican carry Her…….. 😊😊and mira is like WAAAH! she gets startled everytime.

-grey is their NUMBER ONE HATER. O_o oh trust me I would LOVE to write that. Im a huuuge fan of things like dragon fics, mer fics and vampire fics. And also analog horror-esque fics those are always a 10/10

The reason I haven't written anything like that is because, one, I'm a coward 4_4 and two, I always have a harder time working out endings for those kinds of fics. I always write with an ending in mind (not including IA cough), and so I've never gotten around to it because I've always been able to figure out an ending for the stuff I write a lot easier. It's also a matter of not knowing what setting I want to use, too many ideas hitting me at once with one concept, my problem with every fic somehow turning into a crossover au with either rottmnt or mha (or on some occasions, both or more).... yeah it gets a little chaotic xD

Once I finish Love Letter, I'll try and open up my pool of things I'm comfortable posting. I did start posting on ao3 as "exposure therapy" for my social anxiety, after all ó_ó and if the internet can handle the insanity that came from Motive 5, then fuck it I'm turning Shuichi into a dragon! It’s giving “it’s okay for you to be gay, just don’t be in my face about it.” 🙄 I’m not a Marvel comics expert but from what I’ve seen, Billy being a bit camp doesn’t seem OOC at all, and I know part of his backstory is that everyone could tell he was gay before he came out and he was bullied for it… Domino_792 on Twitter (a huuuge Billy stan and the moderator of the Agatha subreddit) just posted a clip from one of the comic writers where he talks about how Billy doesn’t pass as straight and that’s important to the story, that that isn’t “sneered at.” So ironic to see supposed comic fans doing just that and complaining about him being too feminine or gay or whatever.

ANYWAY setting aside the noise the trailer looks amazing and I’m sure Joe killed it. So excited to see him and Kathryn today!

pika IS my current plush boyfriend and hes ALMOST perfect. really tall, huggable, a pokemon plush. the only things that im not a fan of are the texture of his fabric (he was a carny game prize) and the fact that he still needs more stuffing (easy fix, he was originally stuffed with styrofoam and i replaced it with polyfill but he needs more).

CRASHING!!! SAM!!!!! i didn’t think i’d have that much to say but it turns out i did. sorry. mostly this is just barely coherent rambling.

(1) crashing is a british tv show from 2016ish. there are (regrettably) only about 6 episodes, i believe, and they’re SHORT. (i made @dauntingday watch it with me a few months ago and we accidentally just downed the entire thing in one evening after work. that’s how short it is.) it follows a group of like…20s+ people who all live together in an…abandoned hospital? or something? i’m not entirely clear on how the living situation works, and frankly that’s like the least important part i just tend to get bogged down in details when i try to talk about things. BASICALLY they all live together in a giant funky building, they don’t all know each other, they have disastrous dinner parties, they’re messy, they’re stupid, they’re brilliant, they’re super fucking weird, they’re awful to each other, they love each other, they take care of each other in weird ways…it’s like found family i guess but more in like a having-a-lot-of-cousins way. like some of them you’re really close with some of them you never really see some of them you can’t stand. but they’re all still your cousins.

(2) sam is like...i would like to throttle him i also would like to wrap him in a weighted blanket and give him a mug of hot tea. he's a lil homophobic he'll vehemently insist he's not gay he is actively pining after fred when fred gets a boyfriend sam makes it his personal mission to be a total dick about it (affectionate) and break them up. when i started writing this, i was like, "lol SAM how do i describe that little shit, he's so silly and funky and awful but in a cute way," and now i'm actively getting a little choked up about him and fred. im not gonna lie. and the fact that this whole dynamic is established in like...two hours? give or take? masterpiece. ANYWAY. "pathetically sad kicked puppy" is right you totally nailed it he's like the puppy that chews everything up INCLUDING HIS OWN TOYS HIS OWN BED HIS OWN FAVORITE BLANKET and then when he gets reprimanded for it and DOESN'T HAVE ANY OF HIS SHIT, he goes into "pathetically sad kicked puppy" mode. How do the clans work in your universe? I mean, it seems more humanized/anime-esque (not that it's a bad thing!) and I'm curious

I've been meaning to write out how the Clans are in my AU but never got around to, so I'm happy that you asked this!!

SO UUUUH-- THIS RESPONSE IS GONNA BE VERY VERY WORDY

Warriors AU: A Superhero society of cats!

Each cat is born with their own superpower with a unique title that is said to be StarClan-given; not every superpower is unique tho, since multiple cats can have similar powers (e.g. lightning, super speed). So if two cats had the same superpower (e.g. fire power) the titles for their superpower will be different (like "Fire Blaster" & "Rage Flame"). For the powers regarding The Three, I'll talk more about them later on!

The ranks in this AU go like this:

Kits -> Kits

Apprentice -> Intern

Warrior -> Hero

Medicine Cats -> Medics

Deputy -> #2 Hero

Leader -> #1 Hero OR Superhero

Elder -> Retiree

(this AU is heavily inspired off of My Hero Academia btw!)

Some examples of Heroes & their powers: Longtail's Tailwhip / Lionheart's Mighty Roar / Sunbeam's Sunburst

Instead of being known as "warrior" cats they refer to themselves as "hero" cats, and the Clan cats live in more of a superhero society. Most often rivalry amongst Clans are about which Clan is the most heroic, etc

All the cats in the AU have humanlike capabilities/knowledge, like operate machines & occasionally walk on two legs

The Three (aka Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing)

Every Clanborn cat has superpowers in this AU, so what does that make The Three (who have StarClan-given powers in canon)???

In this AU, The Three still have their powers like in the books. But the difference with them is that they are known as The Superstars!! They can take their superpowers and reach it to maximum heights by briefly evolving into a Superstar Form! <- I'LL MAKE A SEPARATE POST ABOUT THIS CONCEPT LATER

When Firestar got revealed to be the Fourth cat in the prophecy, his Superstar Form is literally just him going Super Saiyan mode LOL!!!

By the end of the Great Battle, they've fulfilled the prophecy and can no longer take on their Superstar Forms. Just like in the books, they also lose their own superpowers altogether in this AU.

BloodClan in the AU!

I'M HONESTLY SUPER EXCITED TO TALK MORE ABOUT MY AU BLOODCLAN,,,,, UHH SORRY THIS ASK RESONSE IS LONG ALREADY LOL!!!!

BloodClan in this AU are a squad of punks that reside in Radioscream City, an abandoned city that was once sprawled & bustling with many people. All-over town are cardboard forts and LOOOTS graffiti. The members in BloodClan are referred to as grunts; their vibes have inspirations taken from Pokemon rival teams, specifically Team Yell!!!! Much like Team Yell, BloodClan grunts are HUUUGE FANS of Scourge & also have like,, posters they draw fanart on to show support for him. Even after Scourge is gone, BloodClan basically lives on as a Scourge fanbase haha

BloodClan cats do have superpowers, but they all share the same kind: Graffiti Saliva, where their saliva has become toxic paint they use to graffiti anywhere they go (i created this concept years before pokemon came up with grafaiai who's literally just my bloodclan concept- im p sure the concepts used elsewhere too but man lol)

A VERY TL;DR (NOT REALLY) BLOODCLAN LORE: growing up, Scourge (as Tiny) grew up being obsessed with video games, vampires & loved dark-colored aesthetics & graffiti-styled stuff (got it from one of their owner's kid who he liked to watch while they're gaming). When he ran away to Radioscream City after the Tigerclaw incident, it was overrun with cats without a name for themselves.

When Tiny called himself Scourge, he created BloodClan out of the stray cats & introduced them to graffiti painting. His otaku, vampire-loving side never changed & he references video games in life a lot. Scourge'd also say something like "LAWL" or "WE ARE TEH HAWTNESS o3o" or "GET REKT". After Scourge obtained Graffiti Saliva, he found a discarded painting mask that he wears 24/7.
