the thing is I totally understand trans guys being uncomfortable with the concept of (trans) men getting pregnant. ill get the obvious one out of the way first because i keep saying it but this guy is definitely trans. you have to trust me because im always right and i just know. hes gender

1. bisexual i dont even care he is so bisexual its insane.

2. autistic (i swear i could say this about any of the characters, but its so real). Although id say hes sensory seeking when it comes to sound (metal music enjoyer- me too man), after a concert the crowd to exit was just way too much, so he is loop earplugs no.1 fan; he gets overstimulated pretty easy. Even as he got older he still used them, as the fbi isnt exactly a calm or quiet place, so he uses them frequently and loves how subtle they are. Sometimes when hes overstimulated he is sooo prone to having a verbal shutdown where he just…cant talk. usually he likes to be alone and isolate himself, but hes learnt through booth that it’s counterproductive so booth will sit with him quietly until its over, and he does the same for booth- its a mutual agreement that they never discuss, it just happens. I also think later on aubrey would sit with him too (im an aubrey-sweets friendship truther at heart). He’s potentially got adhd too? im undecided on that one.

^also!!! during school he 100% had a small seperate room to take exams in and thats so me projecting i just see it.

3. folklore enjoyer. his favourite song is cardigan, he is so cardigan coded its not even funny. He totally hides the fact hes listened to it for years, but he loves it so much. (me)

7. He really struggled to think about his future when he was a kid. He spent so long living in an environment where he had to fight for his survival on the daily, that he just couldnt picture himself having a future. Even once he was adopted by his parents his heart sank at the idea that he would have to have a future and he had no way of comprehending that he would make it that far. That was until he found psychology, he originally looked into it to try and understand himself and give him support during school and social situations, but he found it fulfilling in a way he had never experienced before (first special interest joy!!). Thats when he knuckled down at school and finally found a way he wanted to go in life.

A random headcanon: he is autistic and he goes nonverbal a lot. bc the city was overstimulating as hell (bright florescent lights fucking EVERYWHERE reflecting off all the shiny bright white surfaces aka my personal hell) + dysphoria and being forced into skirts and shit, he didnt speak for the majority of his childhood, which caused him a lot of strife bc of course bli would see him as "broken" and his "chosing not to speak as an act of defiance" and so he was put in a bunch of super traumatic "therapy" and given more drugs than anyone could count in an effort to try and "fix" his "rebellious behavior". honestly it just made things worse for him, had horrible effects on his mental health which again. when combines with the dysphoria as he got older was just a recipe for this disastrous cyle of "acting out" bc everyone was trying to force him to act "normal" which lead to more treatments to try and correct this behavior which made everything even worse and yeah. horrible depression consumed most of his childhood but as soon as he gets out to the zones there was this shift. he was treated like a human being by people other than party for the first time EVER and he was treated with kindness and understanding and he was a bit if a sobbing mess for a bit when it hit him that he was allowed to be himself out there

and so he has periods where he cant speak bc thats just how he is, but now when it happens all the guilt he was taught to feel over it is just joy bc hes surrounded by people who understand and dont try and force him to speak or anything. (also semi related to this, he wears sunglasses like 24/7 bc it is Too Bright in the desert and that can get overstimulating quick. and they make him look badass.)

General Opinion over said character: HE IS SO FUN TO WRITE AND TO THINK UP ORIGIN STORIES FOR AND HES SO BADASS AND COOL AND I AM A LITTLE BIT IN LOVE WITH HIM

I saw Barbie last night, I dont think i have a long film review of it for yall but idk I'll put some thoughts under a readmore I guess?

-Right off the bat, I enjoyed it, it was fun. It was a fun pink poppy romp. Thats about what I expected of it, and thats pretty much what I got

-Its not particularly radical in its gender/feminism takes, its very basic, which, I saw a number of ppl mention that before I saw it so I wasnt expecting anything radical. It couldve done better. it was. fine. im shrug about it i guess.

-My mom enjoyed it and was apparently not expecting any sort of emotional depth or story at all so it caught her off guard. I heard her crying. she cries easy at movies. I'm glad my mom liked it. Maybe she'll absorb some of the very basic feminism it drops idk.

-I knew the Kens adopted patriarchy and introduced it to Barbieland but it felt lile that happened very fast, idk.

-The ending....I. is her going to a gynecologist supposed to be like. shes gotten a vagina by deciding to be human?? or is she trying to schedule a surgery or something? that felt pretty weird to me if im honest, i thought it was gonna be a job interview or smth... Especially with how everyone was like "Barbie is ace (heheeh i agree) cos she has no genitals! (sorry what. excuse me. wanna run that by me again?)" like okay that makes that headcanon reasoning even more dewply uncomfortable that it already was?

A NOTP I have with said character: Again, I have never seen a Gregson ship in my life. Shit, maybe yall should start pairing him with random people just to see what fucking happens. Wheres uhhhh *flips through files* gregson/drebber ohgod im laughing so hard

A random headcanon: HGMMMMMMMM . i honestlygot nothin thats actually properly about him . uhh. yeah idk. He exists in proximity to many other characters and has probably had interactions with them! i cant think of anything thats really about him and isnt Actually Canon though.

General Opinion over said character: Best character in the game. tbh. i know ive said this before and also i say it about every character. But they kind of went off with this guy. they made a deeply interesting and complicated character who does some really fucked up things but also cant entirely be called bad . and then had 90% of his screentime be him getting shunted off to get bullied by various people and suffer the agonies of putting up with annoying bullshit. and they were right for that, too. bc its funny.
