I have four projects that I want to finish this month.  The big one, of course, is the baseball story--only four chapters to go!!  But I also have:

The follow-up for “Single Parenting 101″ that was requested by Imadeitup as the reward for winning the “guess Brienne’s walk-up music” contest

The remaining three “Jaime and the Superbrats” fics that I was working on for J/B Week 2022

And a story I started at the beginning of the year called “Bragging Rights.”

As you can see, I’m going to be quite busy!  Wish me luck!!

Boneheaded Bryant: a tale of tales

A man, who was boneheaded in the means of his head was shaped like a bone. Let’s call him Bryant.

Bryant went down to the corner to find his usual prostitute, Lauretta. Once he found her, he gave her a crisp $100 bill and she began his usual: a neck rub with a finish of ball rubbing while in his Black Tinted Window Sedan. Once done, Bryant dropped her off at some gas station 3 miles down and went back home. Alone.

Bryant went to the doctor the next day to discuss his boneheaded shaped head. The results were back and the Doctor, Dr. Queupy (pronounced: Q-uppy) walked into the train-themed room to give Bryant the news: “I already know.”-Bryant solemnly mumbled then walked out of the room, to his Sedan, then drove off. Bryant drove for 5 hours. He thought about his life in retrospect. He thought about how kids nicknamed him ‘boneheaded Bryant’ and how it stuck all through school. He thought about how it took him 6 years to get through college. He thought about every silly meaningless thing.

Bryant was buried 74 hours later under an old Rosemary bush. There was no ceremony held and no headstone created.

Tonight's dinner brought to you by the over: Dinner Doesn't Have A Name Feturing: Chicken Cauliflower Broccoli Celery Mushrooms Onion Baby carrots Zuchinni Yellow squash and some seasonings with about 2 grams of carbs. Yield 6 - 8 servings. Calculating the carbs for dinner tonight is rather difficult and probably the reason I don't count often. There wasn't a lot of fats in there, olive oil and butter is about it. Altogeter the meal was about 25 to 26 grams of carbs. I blame the onion! Divide that by 8 and you get a nice pretty little number that isn't entirely accurate. I didn't eat the carrots, not because I don't like them, I do. I just didn't need them. I only had a few slivers of onion becauae roasted onion is imposible to resist. I ate about 2 servings so that is about 10 g of carbs. So far today, we're under 20 and that is honestly too low for me. Diamond in the Rough Contest Update

Hey there! We have a winner in the contest to figure out what Brienne's walk-up song is in Diamond in the Rough!!!

Imadeitup, in the comments for Chapter 42, correctly guessed that the song is "Titanium" by David Guetta ft. Sia!!

"Titanium" is one of my all-time favorite songs. When I was thinking of what Brienne's walk-up song would be, two songs immediately came to mind: this one and Sia's "I'm Still Here." I decided on this one because "I'm Still Here" talks about the past haunting the singer, and the past is something Brienne would much rather put behind her and look to the future. The lyrics to "Titanium" were just absolutely perfect!

The section she uses is the chorus:

Bulletproof, nothing to lose/ Fire away, fire away/ Ricochet you take your aim/ Fire away, fire away/ You shoot me down/ But I won't fall/ I am titanium...

See? It's perfect!

But hey--I'd still love to hear from you guys about what you think everyone else's walk-up music is. I've pretty much settled on "Fireball" by Pitbull for Thoros Myr (the Royals' closer). Someone early on suggested "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana for Cleos, which I absolutely love!! But no one's got anything for the other guys?

What do you think Addam would stroll to the plate to? Or Daven? (Actually, I kind of like the idea of Daven choosing something a bit off-beat, like "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked.") Or Gendry?

Most of all--what about JAIME??? What's his walk-up music?
