Page 1: “Aromantic — or just ‘aro’ for short — refers to someone who experiences little to no romantic attraction to anyone — or experiences it in a different way than others. Alloromantic is the opposite — one who does have romantic attraction.” The text is green and dark teal with light green boarders around the sections.

Page 2: small letters says “this might help to understand” and arrow points to the title “Split Attraction Model” — “a way of understanding attraction by separating it into types: sexual, romantic, platonic, alterous, aesthetic, etc.

Page 5: “Are you aro? some common experiences: made up crushes, flirting doesn’t make sense, hard to identify romantic feelings, dating isn’t a priority, don’t like romance heavy media, dating because you’re “supposed to”, rarely if ever “fall in love”, don’t have celebrity crushes. *these are not exclusive to aros though!”

Page 6: the top of the page has the shape of an umbrella, the text inside reads “the Aromantic umbrella”. The body has four microlabel examples;

i consider this to be one of my favourite things i’ve done as of late. this is what the moon looks like to me ☽🩵☾

I appreciate people adding alt text to images that don't have it by reblogging with a description below the image. that's great. love that you're picking up the slack. but if you are the original poster. and you are uploading an image and adding a description. please put it in the actual alt text of the image. you can put it in the actual alt text and also in a paragraph in the caption if you really want but please attach it to the image itself properly.

and this may not seem like a big deal to you if you can see. I get it. a description is a description. surely it must help people regardless of where it's placed.

and my response to that is how the fuck is someone who can't fucking see supposed to know that your long caption is alt text when they can't fucking see

Hey folks, even when you're transcribing a screenshot of a belief or argument that we all agree is absolutely indefensible, you... do still have to transcribe it accurately. In the most accessible way.

Disabled people can use their own critical thinking skills to determine that the idea absolutely sucks shit, without the transcriber using mocking alternating caps or whatever that just make the ID more difficult to read. Save the commentary on what you think of it for the body of your post. Disabled people deserve to be able to read what you're criticizing.

(To keep elaborating on that one example: While alternating caps don't fuck up the single screen reader I've tested them on, you need to understand that first, all screen readers are different, and second, not all people who need IDs use screen readers. IDs need to be in the most easily readable format possible.)
