i cant stop thinking about Grover and the way satyrs age differently and how he will slowly fall behind. About him seeing Annabeth and Percy grow, mature, come into adulthood and eventually die while he could never catch up to them.
Its not only that, but also the fact that they already know this. In the last olympian Percy remarks how alarmed he is at the fact that he is gaining a significant height over Grover. He knows this is only the begging. He knows that at some point he will be an adult, possibly with children, and Grover will still be a teenager.
And imagine Grover at Yancy academy, slowly becoming ACTUAL FRIENDS with Percy instead of being some homework to do to get his license as searcher. Because this kid is his age, they share interests. And maybe he didn't think about it back then, with the naive look of a 12 yr old that cant see what will come. But what if the other satyrs warned him of the dangers of it. What if, even though he tried to dismiss them, it slowly grew on him and became one of his biggest insecurities. What if he started to put Percabeth at arms lengths, trying to make the inevitable more manageable since at least it was his choice.
And while Percy would try to guess what he messed up with, Annabeth would. She would recognize what was scaring him and reasure him that it wouldnt happen.
And maybe they stayed friends through out most of their lives, but the gap would become increasingly bigger and bigger and even if they managed to stay friends for Annabeth and Percy's entire life times, he would still have to see his friends slowly get away as they died. And he still has like 200 more years to go. But even then he isnt mortal. He doesnt have a soul. He wont have some heartfelt reunion with them in the underworld. His time spent with them will actually be less than half the life he will live. And still he will miss them through out it all.
brb gonna go cry about Grover Underwood for a while.

I’ve mentioned this elsewhere but it feels relevant again in light of the most recent episode. Something that’s really fascinating to me about Orym’s grief in comparison to the rest of the hells’ grief is that his is the youngest/most fresh and because of that tends to be the most volatile when it is triggered (aside from FCG, who was two and obviously The Most volatile when triggered.)
As in: prior to the attack on Zephrah, Orym was leading a normal, happy, casual life! with family who loved him and still do! Grief was something that was inflicted upon him via Ludinus’ machinations, whereas with characters like Imogen or Ashton, grief has been the background tapestry of their entire lives. And I think that shows in how the rest of them are largely able to, if not see past completely (Imogen/Laudna/Chetney) then at least temper/direct their vitriol or grief (Ashton/Fearne/Chetney again) to where it is most effective. (There is a glaring reason, for example, that Imogen scolded Orym for the way he reacted to Liliana and not Ashton. Because Ashton’s anger was directed in a way that was ultimately protective of Imogen—most effective—and Orym’s was founded solely in his personal grief.)
He wants Imogen to have her mom and he wants Lilliana to be salvageable for Imogen because he loves Imogen. But his love for the people in his present actively and consistently tend to conflict with the love he has for the people in his past. They are in a constant battle and Orym—he cannot fathom losing either of them.
(Or, to that point, recognize that allowing empathy to take root in him for the enemy isn't losing one of them.)
It is deeply poignant, then, that Orym’s grief is symbolized by both a sword and shield. It is something he wields as a blade when he feels his philosophy being threatened by certain conversational threads (as he believes it is one of the only things he has left of Will and Derrig, and is therefore desperately clinging onto with both bloody hands even if it makes him, occasionally, a hypocrite), but also something he can use in defense of the people he presently loves—if that provocative, blade-grief side of him does not push them—or himself—away first.
(it won’t—he is as loved by the hells as he loves them. he just needs to—as laudna so beautifully said—say and hear it more often.)
#critical role#cr spoilers#bells hells#orym of the air ashari#cr meta#imogen temult#ashton greymoore#liliana temult#this is genuinely completely written in good faith as someone who loves orym#but is also about orym and so will inevitably end up being completely misconstrued and made into discourse. alas#I could talk about how Orym’s unwillingness to allow the hells to actually finish/come to a solid conclusion on Philosophy Talk#is directly connected to one of the largest criticisms of c3 (that they are constantly having these conversations)#all day. alas. engaging with orym’s flaws tends to make people upset#it is ESP prevelant when he walks off after exclaiming ‘they (vangaurd) are NOT right’#which was not only never said but wasn’t even what they were talking about#he even admits as much to imogen like ten minutes later! that he is incapable of viewing it objectively#which is 100% justifiable and understandable but simultaneously does not make his grief alone the most important perspective in the world#also bc i fear ppl will play semantics on my tags yes the line ‘i hope she’s right’ was said but it was from ASHTON#who does not believe they are at all and wasn’t saying they actively WERE right. orym just heard something to latch onto and ran with it#ultimately there is a reason orym only admitted that he was struggling when he had stepped away to talk to dorian#who has not been around and thusly has not changed once n orym's eyes#and it isn't that the hells never check in or care. they do. they have several times over#it is dishonest to say they haven't#the actual reason is that all of this is something He Is Aware Of. he doesn't mention it bc he KNOWS it's hypocritical and selfish#he says as much!#EXHALES. @ MY OWN BRAIN CAN WE THINK ABT MOG AGAIN. FYRA RAI EVEN. FOR ME.#posting this literally at 8 in the morning so I can get my thoughts out of my brain but also attempt to immediately make this post invisibl

Your last rb on the John Gaius post how much John is the OPPOSITE of what that reblogger implied. Because like - we rag on him for not using his magical girl powers for C--'s "Good Wizardry", but it's specifically because he *doesn't* want to rely on a new untested "technology". He tries to incorporate it into the old project, make it better, make people trust it and give him money. Slow down the people who are trying to actually do the "promising new technology" bit without proof of concept.
It's "We all came up with trials to figure out what I could do, what I couldn’t do" vs
"...they were taking one discovery and acting like it changed the whole ballgame when really we now needed ten years of funding to discover whether it was any use, i.e., academia functioning as normal."
And I think that's neat, actually.
[post for context]
Ok actually #discourse aside, I think a lot about how John WAS a scientist, and that was the approach he used in his cryo project, and that was ALSO the approach he used when he started displaying magic powers. He tried to do experiments. He tried to make up scientific terms. He tried to write papers.
And nobody would listen and then he had to cosplay a wizard on youtube.
I think about that SO MUCH. Like... I think John never had a high opinion of the "cultists." He's obviously annoyed that one of the first guys who gave them attention was a flat earther. He only started calling himself a necromancer so that people would listen. It was a last resort and personally, I think he wasn't keen on it.
Tumblr media
Like... I think John, an educated scientist who has successfully pioneered a potentially revolutionary new technology (the cryo project, not the magic!) AND is also an indigenous man of colour, might have felt some kinda way about putting on a cape and eyeliner and recruiting a gullible cult of followers because he wasn't being taken seriously in ~intellectual circles. I know we make jokes aboout God being a twitch streamer - Taz put that in for a reason! I think it's funny, I think the cult aesthetic is fun, I think the pre-Res gang HAD fun with it, eventually. But I also think that there's a lot to unpack about John going from the lead research on a project that had serious corporate and government backing ("We cannot keep diverting three percent of the country’s electricity to your vats") to putting on a cape for the memes.
Also! You're absolutely right that the FTL fleet IS "the special technology that shows no promise." John, Mercy AND Augustine all it as hooky because it's SO new that it can scale up to what they need, if it even works as advertised. I'm very curious if / how / on which scale it was tested, and I think Augustine was right to suspect that the FTL propulsion was just an initial kick and the fleet was gonna generation-ship it and never come back.
Also speaking of people wanting an "immediate fix" - John also explicitly brings up that some of the cryo project backers nagged at him because they though an imperfect technology was good enough but the team thought the chance of damage was too high, and worked to reduce it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, the whole point of the cryo project is that it worked, but it wasn't an easy fix, it required literally global cooperation, and there was no priority access for first-class passengers.
I am once again pointing a huge neon sign in John's direction that says HE ATE THE SUN!! That's plenty enough! We don't have to directly contradict canon to sue him for ethics breaches.

hear me out for genshin x bsd-
atsushi would be a cryo claymore that scales off atk (since the tiger is shown as extremely powerful and can even cut through space) and optimizes physical dmg
dazai would be a geo sword support that increases elemental res, acting as a debuffer (as no longer human works in the bsd universe) he would also scale off em
kunikida would also be geo but catalyst that deals physical aoe dmg.. he'd be an in-slot dps but not an optimal one imao his talents are much better suited to make him a battery unit
akutagawa would be pyro polearm?? or sword?? and he's obviously a heavy dps that scales off crit rate/dmg and tenma tengai could be similar to cyno's burst when, once activated, increases def while simultaneously raising rashomon's atk
chuuya would be an anemo catalyst dps similar to wanderer bc of his gravity manipulation and he would have a melee stance where he atks from the ground and an elevated state where he uses gravity manipulation to be able to atk off-ground. his ult would be corruption obviously and would parallel xiao's where his atk and crit rate/dmg are sharply increased but he undergoes continuous dmg until the duration of his burst ends (in this state he is vulnerable as his def is lowered and he isn't able to accumulate energy meaning he needs a team built around him, preferably with a healer and a shielder)
how does it feel to be the sexiest person on this site w absolutely the most correct and banger takes anon??.. why are u correct on literally everything

Bad has so many reasons to be cautious, even paranoid, as anyone else on the island. From Federation nonsense to Dapper being kidnapped to the whole purgatory nonsense to whatever fuckass suit of armor “old friend” was setting up cameras in his house. But it compounds on his regular overly aware paranoid self to this state of hyper-paranoia. And as a demon who can and usually will lie, cheat, steal, and use sneaky underhanded tactics, he expects the craziest extent because he thinks of it, realizes it’s possible, and would use it himself. We saw this very obviously in purgatory - when he thought greens desperate last ditch effort to balance the scale was a super planned out tactic to tip the scale, so he did it first, all the hardcore base hunting, the spawn killing, there’s a reason every other tactic he used usually followed a main channel qsmp post with updated rules - all usually things he was surprised no one else thought of. But then this also piles onto the fact that he has to have things go his way, all the time, and that he’s argumentative as all get out, which led to the debate between him and Bagi yknow. Especially because he’s not just doing it for the sake of being right, he doesn’t think he’s paranoid, but that he’s exercising the right amount of caution.
So like. Listen dude. Yeah he’s got reasons to be paranoid. But his thought process around building vaults for separate cookie caches like they locked up the risus pills, only to scrap it because it’s not perfectly impenetrable, is extreme. His character has hardly been a leading example in someone who has reasonable reactions to things. And even when there isn’t his own children’s livelihoods potentially on the line, he has a need for control, and the most control he has is if he keeps the cookies in his inventory at all times. If he makes himself the sole point in which the others can get ones in a case of emergency, then he can control the variables. The problem is he’s unreliable about himself when he’s at his most rational and healthiest, and he’s far worse with the current memory and health issues he’s been mostly unaware of.
I dunno it’s like. There is never going to be a purely impenetrable base. And it’s not just a case of “Bagi just hasn’t lived through __ yet!”. Bad’s own logic about keeping the cookies on him at all times is flawed under his own logic, because Bagi is right - if someone has enough drive to break into separate secured cookie caches purely for the downfall of eggs, they more than certainly have enough drive to find a way to kill Bad and just take them from his inventory, or to just kill the eggs themselves. All it truly does is give Bad a sense of control, and soothe his paranoia.
#everyone let’s remember rurus’ tweet about bad NOT being in the blunt rotation. he would try to pluck cameras out of your eyes. and he will#make it seem like it’s the most reasonable thing to do in that moment#now this is more me complaining about shit I’ve been seeing on Twitter in the tags <3 love and peace but I’ve got beef#side note - to say the people who are commenting on qBad’s paranoia or this and that are all newcomers who just ‘weren’t there to experienc#-the dark times’ or ‘weren’t there for the egg deaths/nightmares’ like you are not immune to the way bbh can make something seem so#reasonable#he’s got his own reasons to be paranoid. and most everyone agreed that the base idea of a ‘cookie jar’ would need rethinking with security#but to say qBagi (or Jorge’s/other viewers) is shortsighted or naive. when qBad is THE definition of paranoia. of overreacting. like#qBad’s reaction extends from a mixture of care hyper paranoia and trauma response (which is half that hyper paranoia)#and he will pick and pick and pick until there’s nothing left to pick at#sometimes this is helpful. a lot of the time it’s not#and on the flip side it’s like y’all bad cares about the eggs to a ridiculous degree don’t be silly here okay. he does this because he care#even without a memory in his brain he calls them ‘little one’ and is gentle like. he cares#but at the same time this doesn’t always justify his nonsense. his thought processes. he’s Uber hyper paranoid and not easy to reason with#he’s selfish he can and will jump to extremes he’s overly controlling. and he’s the worlds most unreliable narrator#I’ve been saying this I’ll keep saying this he’s an unreliable narrator! this doesn’t make everything he says or thinks bullshit but you#cannot take what he says to himself how he justifies his actions etc etc in private at face value. unless he is making it EXPLICITLY CLEAR#he’s talking from a meta perspective as the creator of his character#you have to take his perspective with a grain of salt. because he will ‘I’m just a little guy and the world is out to get me’ his way outta#everything#there is a difference between reasonable caution from learned past experiences and overly anxious paranoid responses#idk I’m running out of steam sorry this is like a second post with the tags#and again I say this as a huge qBbh enjoyer lmao#mcyt#qsmp#q!bbh#q!bagi#z speaks

himh I'll make a Dark Urge that's so fucking scared
big scary bloodsoaked killer, tearing through armies with her literal bare hands? nah. a quiet, scared girl who doesn't understand why she does what she does, why she can do what she can, but is, at the same time, deeply disgusted by herself because she has just enough self-awareness to know to be repulsed.
maybe it's because I'm a tiny bit obsessed with clinging to the thought that people, at the end of the day, are fundamentally good, no matter what. that there is a fundamental human goodness in all people that makes them worthy of redemption, or at least of the opportunity for atonement.
maybe the way I want to play a story like that is with someone who, stripped from indoctrination and free for the first time to think for herself and embrace and be who she is, finds that in the deepest, most hidden pits of her soul, she is not the strong, kind, resilient person she might want to be. try as the might, she is not someone who can bear the weight of her own past, she's just a... a terrified, broken little girl, cowering in the shadows and unable to look herself in the eye. (which also gives me ideas for her relationship with Orin but that's a little bit beside the point)
cathartic self-insert who. therapy? what is that. is it on Steam or Epic.
#video games are cheaper than therapy i know from experience#squirrel plays bg3#oc: mara#watching my partner play his durge last night i had Thoughts#so far i'm thinking that this intense fear will be what initially draws my girl to Karlach#because karlach is so.... bright. and exuberant. and even chivalrous in her way#she's so LOUDLY good that her presence is louder than even the fear and... there is something really sweet about that#it'll be a bit of a change of pace for me to REALLY lean into playing a character who... isn't a protector in any way#someone who doesn't put their feelings last#not even out of pure obligation or self-preservation#but rather they are someone who NEEDS comfort and protection#and at the same time IS the danger itself yknow#(my default boys Arvid and Ray are sort of different flavors of a “kinght” archetype)#(the former is the “courage is overcoming fear”-type)#(the latter is the “fate's puppet; thrown at ever-increasing horrors until one finally kills him [and maybe he'll even welcome that]” type)#(Iona may be the most emotionally intelligent but she is in survival mode for a long time which complicates things)#(Petyr is selfish and kinda.... phlegmatic; performatively indifferent until he's yanked from it)#(but Mara will be... feeling ALL of her feelings. and I think Karlach will make her feel the closest to what she can think of as “normal”)#(there's perpetrator guilt. and shame. and fear. disgust at her own urges. intrusive thoughts and bodily reactions that disturb her.)#(i think she'll be pretty fascinating to play)#(holy tag novel dang)

Thinking about how tragic it was for the soul of the Earth to be consumed by man but how from that tragedy new power grew of god-like capacity. Thinking about the juxtaposition between a god-like man consuming the soul of a planet, becoming an all-powerful, nearly immortal but ageless being. And how that god-like human was granted power over other bodies and bones and souls, to do with what he wished. And how he shared this knowledge (some, not all) with his closest comrades, but failed to make any mention of the potential they too could uncover like he. So he named them Saints in his worship.
Thinking about how when this god-like man faced the destruction of an entire solar system, he very abruptly stripped the souls of nine planets in their resurrection, creating monsters from their ashes. A swarm of Beasts who continued to haunt him and chase both him and his Saints for thousands of years. And it is by His hand these Beasts continue to exist and continue to haunt and haunt and haunt, at the expense of both himself and his dearest, unknowing Saints.
Thinking about how close he keeps the secret of the First Beast to his chest away from his beloved Saints of worship, who possess power like he but not nearly to the same degree. And how endless their quest to destroy these beasts must feel as they attempt to atone for the sins of their god-like man who has chosen to reveal only so much.
Maybe, just maybe, the solution is not to destroy more planets, to take more life — rather, they must consume the beasts whole and eat, and eat, and eat like this god-like man once did to obtain his god-like power.
Perhaps, that is the ultimate tragedy of it all, and the burden of this god-like man’s secret.
That while the resurgence of humanity worships his status and only His, it is only because he lacks the honesty — the selflessness — to create more god-like souls of his own, and so he too has fallen victim to the extent of his power over bodies and souls and bones for far, far, far too long.

if only i was a fly on the supermegaplex wall
now that a day has passed and they still havent said ANYTHING (except matt’s tone deaf concert tweet), i’m imagining the most insane and chaotic fallout. i hope they rip each other to shreds. theyre literally making the situation worse the longer they wait to say anything but maybe they deserve it. they should go ahead and halt their plans to move into a new and improved supermegaplex because 95% of the patreon is ready to cancel, even patrons who only commented jokes under every post are writing their essays. i feel more disgusted as time goes on and no amount of corporate style tweets will fix this.

Ugh now i'm thinking.... what will happen when Lance, fucked up and irreversably changed, comes back to Earth? How would it feel for him to see his family and friends after everything hes been trough?
(if you can torture him then i might as well join the party)
(I am so sorry this is so late) Welcome aboard on langst train! Here we torture Lance as enrichment for both ourselves and our boy!
Ok i am going to be honest here, i dont really have much planned out for Lance as much as i had Kuron planned out. I do think that part of his spiral is because of differences grown between him and his family. Like i imagine this au taking place a few years after Allura "died" (yes it took years for Allura to like become alive, gather herself, gain back her strength, and search her way back home).
During that time Lance was with his family. And he's Happy! He finally got back to his family! He has achieved his dream! He even met his hero! So he should be happy or atleast at peace right?
Wrong! There is Allura's death he is mourning, he is dealing with trauma from war, he feels guilty and mourning Kuron's death, he feels aimless and directionless, he died, while his family is still alive i am pretty sure his home and earth is not in good shape.
And then there is his family. And at first glance it feels like everything is fine and dandy but as time goes on they realize that well things have changed, specifically they all have changed. Lance is more reserved, isolating himself, ticking all boxes of depression. Like it is still him but also practically a shell of himself. His family has changed too, they are clingier to him and each other while also being reserved themselves. But they are trying! Trying to be the people they used to be! Especially Lance who's acting like Nothing Happened at all!
All of them want to go Back To Way Things Were, but are too changed to do it. They all expect the other to be the same and that Lance returning would have fixed things except it did not. It really did not, if anything it kinda caused the drift to grow wider and wider.
While this is all going on Lance's powers are manifesting, and they start with growing sensitivity towards quintessence, mood swings, knowledge about things he shouldnt have, etc etc. And one day he just snaps and runs away, and no one has any idea where he is, and he is only found when Kuron is alive again (btw he went full fmab on his body, made the body from scratch, stole Kuron from Shiro's mind and succeeded, suck on that Elric bros) which results in his coma where he is actually in astral plane falling more into his powers and the horror and how it is changing him.
And the worst is he is both hating and loving it. To him he can finally do something, these powers can help him help others, right his wrongs, save others like he saved Kuron, so he just throws himself into learning more about it and about quintessence and actively choosing to let it change him more because than he will finally become something that needed for others since "Lance" was clearly not enough. But he also hates it because he just wants to go back to way things were, back to the way he used to be. And his powers are very affected by all this which further affect his mind so it is a downward spiral all the way down.
Also the powers are not good for him at all, or any humans for that matter. It is not exactly killing him anymore but it is not good for his sanity.
In short to answer your question, it will be bad, it will be so bad, no one in this house is coping at all, shit's hitting the roof my dude
#Girl help i went missing for 2 years and my family now has separation anxiety#lance voltron#lance serrano#lance mcclain#vld lance#lance vld#post s8 au#voltron legendary defender#voltron#vld#empty thoughts#lance is very interesting and complex character to me#I have like few traits that are must in his character#First is duality- for every trait he has he will also have a contradiction to it#Like yes he is selfless and works best as a team player but he also really wants to showoff and can be selfish#He is incredibly emotional mature and great observational skills but he can also be so 17 year old class clown about it#he is the most extroverted talkative person there is he is also so lonely#He is the most genuine guy ever he is facades over facades over#He is laidback but he is also efficient and will get shit done#The only exception is his undying loyalty he will ride and die for you#But even the ppl he cares about depends entirely on him Pidge cld eldctrocute him in s1 and he didnt even care but Keith cldnt even breathe#in his direction in s1#And this bleeds into his wishes as well#Every wish of his that got fulfilled had a price#He is in space? He misses his family. He is in a supercool hero team like he wanted? He wonders if he's doing enough.#He is dating the girl he liked? Well it wasnt healthy for either for them#He is a tragic character in the role of a comedic character playing a hero character#his thing is that he is human in all human messiness and glory#he is adaptable and fits in every role that is needed of him but never in the role he wanted or in the way he wanted#truly an enby bi icon

#Seeing a weirdass take about Chetney not being a team player in a way reminiscent of like classic toxic d&d bros is so weird#It does acknowledge that Travis himself is a generous player but Chetney is selfish and not working with the team#And it's so weird to me because a) Chetney isn't any less cooperative than any other member of the team#(he's actually MORE cooperative than Nott and Caleb were for a very long time)#And b) I feel like it ignores Chetney is actually rather responsive and aware of the others and is eager to work with them when required#Refusing to tell the others he had the money but pays for most of their shit#and going off to scout or capitalize on opportunity but communicating poorly about it#and going off on his own to run dicey personal errands he doesn't want the others entangled in#those aren't like at all similar to things that are selfish or similar to classic toxic d&d table behaviors#So I'm very ????? about the take Chetney isn't a team player in ways reminiscent of specific d&d toxicity (even as Travis remains generous)#Chetney is cagey and defensive but he almost DESPERATELY wants to be part of the group as much as he is wary of them#It's honestly insane imo and overlooks the entire context of Chet and willfully ignores when he is generous; thoughtful; and cooperative#Like Chetney isn't hiding the money for himself because he spends a lot of it for the party. He goes off on his own for the party's uses.#He hasn't done anything multiple other characters haven't done so ???#Why is this take trying to act like Chetney is more selfish or self-centered or toxic or less of a team player than anyone else#Idk idk I might revisit this in more whisper tags when I'm not typing on mobile from bed and discussed this with The Board (friends in DMs)#Critical Role things#CR spoilers#also maybe I think that characters are allowed to be selfish

I think we should give Zora a gun and whatever happens to the Shadow Decree happens
#dislyte#Listen I'm going to be honest. I like a lot of shadow Decree characters. But also.#Given the chance I would kill them off in story because of how much I hate them.#Mainly the fact a good chunk of them are like. Okay with child murder? Like hello#The union 100% deserves criticism (hi Luo Yan the cop who got fired bc he thought the law was beneath him what's up w u being here) and#Tiye's story is. Whoooo boy. The union definitely has An Interest In Branding#But again. Orphanage burning was A Thing That Happened#And ofc there's the meta view of like... What are the bad guys ideals? Are they only evil bc they're extreme? And I try 2 keep that in mind#But like the Shadow Decree is kinda... Just full of selfish people. Ofc some ppl are more sympathetic but all of them Are Selfish#Honestly Bonnie is like the only one who stands out to me as like... Yeah the union failed her community and she's rightfully mad#Most of the others lost like. One person either to the union or just thought the shadow Decree would let them get revenge and#It's a case by case thing like some of them probably feel like they have nowhere else to go and that's understandable but the initial#Actions they took were selfish and I feel like dislyte puts too much into making the characters surface level sympathetic (Ophelia) rather#Than grappling with if they view themselves as good people or if they're disappointed in themselves or if they don't care#(forgot to say earlier Jiang Jiuli n Jiang Man r valid in hatred though like the union directly fucked them over and it's understandable#That they fucking hate them so like it's more grey)#(also this is why like... Nicole n Cecilia r some of my faves they don't give a shit they just wanna fuck stuff up and I can respect that)#And Catherine is actually well done because she's full of hatred and even if she has soft moments shes just. Mean as hell!#LYNN I love Lynn but girl you know about the orphanage burning right???? Right???????#Anyway how well known is the burning of the union? Iirc it was both the HQ and the Orphanage so do ppl only know abt the HQ or both or????#Anyway the union is flawed but trying unaffiliated espers are similar and the shadow Decree is 90% people who are selfish and toxic and#Really fucking annoying. I fucking hate Ophelia so much you have no idea I want to throw bricks at her.#Anyways Zora is the best character and deserves free therapy and a lifetime supply or tiramisu and a gun#JASPER TRIED TO FUCK W THE UNION WITHOUT JOINING YHE CHILD MURDER ORGINIZATION

Idk I feel like Nampheung isn't Porsche and Porschay's mom.
Like it may sound weird bc we saw her in a flashback, but maybe she was a foster mom or something, because it just feels so weird how she reacts everytime Porsche or Porschay calls her "mom" oe say they are "a family" or when Korn is so insistant on her being Porsche's mom and his sister and Porsche being his nephew like. Idk it's so weird.
And like. Gun was shot trying to say "the truth that Nampheung is-" and he got shot and died on the spot. And at first i was like "what if she is Vegas' mom??" which at first seemed to make so much sense but then I rememberd how Gun talked about Vegas' mom and said Vegas was "as useless as [her]" and it just doesntfit with how he treats and talks about Nampheung so yeah
But like cutting him mid sentence might be a trap because everyone will think "what was she?? A sister? A mom? A lover?" but what if the real question was "What is she not?"
And again, Korn being so insitant on family links, the way Gun talks about her is ambiguous because he could love her the most as a sister but also as a lover?? So it would mean she is the related to them at all? And since Korn half confessed she was a "Foster sister" to him, i mean the whole "not blood related" thing would make sense
+ her being visibly uncomfortable around Porsche and Chay
+ Her having most her memory and Korn being the only person to know about her surviving (how convenient... To be the only person able to shape the mind and influence the way this woman who lost her memory thinks...really convenaient if you ask me)
So yeah. It's just a lot of little things adding up that makes me wonder if she truly is Porsche's and Chay's mom, or if it is just yet another lie from Korn.
+ Gun never called her "sister" or never mentioned her as "Posche's mom" or whatever. It's really only Korn creating these links and Porsche following his lead because he is so desperate to believe his mom is alive that I think it's easy to have him following Korn's words without too much questionning.
I for one do not trust Korn about anything. The more he talks the less I am willing to believe whatever he says.

What Daigo persona arcane 👀👀👀👀
DEFINITLY want to call Strength for Daigo: the Strength arcana is indicative not so much of someone’s physical strength, but by the strength of their character and willingness to pursue a goal by their own means. Not so much ruling with brute force, but through humanity, determination, charisma, and patience. The Strength arcana also calls back to Daigo’s prior hedonistic tendencies: just as the woman on the card was able to tame the beast, he was able to find the strength to suppress and tame his bad habits and attitude to properly lead the Tojo. Especially through his RGGO character story, we see Daigo transition from trying to obtain respect through violence and forced authority to him having the resolve to stick to his own methods and morals when leading, making the Strength arcana the perfect fit for him.

Shoot me down for this one but I’m honestly leaning towards Devil, in a twist of irony: while those associated with the Devil can be characterized as acting selfish, violent, impulsive, and with promiscuity, that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s all their character is. Although they act near-exclusively for themselves and as freely as they wish, those of the Devil arcana are not only able to wholly dedicate themselves to particular causes, but to people as well; the Devil arcana, despite their inward-and-outwardly destructive tendencies, can still commit themselves to others they find worthwhile (though this doesn’t mean they’re exactly the most social of people in general). When it comes to the things and people they care about, they possess well-meaning and wholesome reasons for acting in that object’s name. Those of the Devil arcana also tend to struggle with forgoing unhealthy influences and habits in their lives, wherein Sagawa and other Y0 cast members namely comes to mind in terms of Majima and his character. Post-Y0 is when Majima really starts to embrace the Devil arcana in this aspect once he’s able to separate himself and act more independently.

I hate the people who needlessly villainize Kyle but I am also not loving what feels like a general insistence that Kyle’s intentions must be perfectly pure and he can’t have any selfish/problematic thoughts or behaviour and his anger can never be misplaced
#LIKE I agree with most of these as a general but guys!! he can be a dick!#he sometimes defaults of anger unnecessarily and quicker than others (probs bc he’s learned this response as a defense mech)#idk there’s probs more points I could present and I don’t think this is a problem with one person#even if I was spurred on by a post that came off a little like this to me#it’s just a general culture in the fandom I’m starting to see#I get it! I get the frustration with him being depicted as secretly bad inside#I hate it too. it’s really unfounded stuff that puts down the genuine food we’ve seen of him and his obvious effort to do what’s right#but like. idk. as much as I like uplifting his character as good I don’t like seeing this weirdness about him ever holding a selfish thought#or doing s problematic#Idk im getting rambly. it just feels like how the fandom either goes far one way or far the other when it’s a little more center leaning in#reality#I think also im uncomfortable with this bc a lot of these behaviour people criticize literally feel like trauma responses/etc#or really understandable learned behaviour. stuff like that. and treating it like it’s just him being depicted as bad when it’s moreso him#being depicted with unhealthy behaviour bc of the bad stuff that has happened to him makes me kinda pissed#he has trauma!! traumatized people tend to develop unhealthy habits and it’s okay to depict that especially when the show supports these#ideas even if only through humour#like do what you want ofc say what you want but yeah that’s my take#kyle broflovski#me talking#i gotta make a post about my feelings on kyle being shown as angry without reason too bc I agree it’s annoying in some cases#where he’s just a nasty bitch about anything for no reason bc haha angry character#but also it can be done right in the manner of this kid is stressed the fuck out and sometimes reacts unhealthily with anger bc it’s defense#this is not about the kyman zine to be clear idk how anyone would confuse this post for defending it but making sure#in general I’m still super defensive of Kyle being an extremely good person I’m just also defensive of Kyle being depicted as having#realistic struggles that make sense for the trauma he’s experienced and how these can somehow be toxic for himself and other people and#result in him sometimes doing bads bc being blinded by anger/getting angry quickly as a stress response/etc
