I can't even begin to describe the raw love Mina has for Lucy. Caring for her and worrying about her sleepwalking. Taking her on a picturesque walk where the cows scare them, sending both of them into giggles. The way she was absolutely terrified to find Lucy missing in the middle of the night, the sixth sense of knowing when someone dear to her was in grave danger waking Mina up from her sleep. Knowing someone so much you could predict where their subconscious mind would take them. The relief and terror of seeing someone next to Lucy on their bench. The selfless, pure act of giving Lucy her own shoes and shawl, no matter the weather (I will walk barefoot and undignified on this cold night if it means keeping you safe). The relief of seeing Lucy safe and first thought being how prettily she wakes, how amazing it is to see her again, waking up and reasonably well. Making promises just because the other person asks you to.
